Australian companies setup industrial complexes in China
With the building of a new interconnected railway system which enables easy access for products and people from the coastal regions to go to the internal regions and vice versa, the flow of investment has dramatically risen in provinces such as Hunan, Hubei, Henan, Shanxi, Sichuan and Qinghai where most of the 311 Australian companies opened and established new base of operations for their production.
In the north, in the old region of Manchuria, heavy industry had long been part of the region's history with most of the old dilapidated plants dating back from the old Soviet Union-era, many of which are not efficient and are highly poses a health risk to its workers. However new investments have come pouring in to once again revitalize the heavy industrial based economy of provinces such as Heilongjiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia and Liaoning. Due to its close proximity to techno giants such as Korea and Japan, Argus CyberSecurity will be establishing its new facilities in Liaoning with the idea of creating at least one facility for every province in the country as the Chinese slowly incorporate fast high speed internet into their lives.
The Australian investments are expected to produce almost every daily product, from small socks and bicycles to wheels and guns, to airplanes and ships. Not only are Australian investors focusing on manufacturing but are also equally interested in the services and banking sector, with many Australian investors entering the Chinese stock exchange to find lucrative and interesting stocks. Unemployment is expected to decrease by 45%-55%.

Operation Enduring Freedom: East Timor is dangerous on its own
On May 12th, an Australian patrol of 50 troops was ambushed in Tuatula in the eastern region of the country by a force of almost 500 LMP supporters, most of which were carrying military grade firearms, a big contrast to the early weaponry the LMP supporters first used. 3 Australians were killed, the first deaths of Enduring Freedom, and of the 41 injured. 18 were in critical condition. The attack has led the Australian coalition to send more troops and armor to the eastern regions which are one of the most troublesome regions of East Timor. However the attacks sent shockwaves to other LMP forces across East Timor to harass Australian patrols and checkpoints. From May 13 to 17, about 50 attacks were recorded by Australian military patrols and checkpoints, leaving 7 dead and as many as 150 men wounded.
With the rising insurrection and the increasing incapability of the Dili government in establishing peace and order on their own accords without assistance, many personalities in the Legislature House are debating and into talks with the Dili government on the idea of temporarily putting East Timor as part of the Northern Territory.

The air force base is expected to house close to at least 80-100 air planes with the present one runway airport in Talara to be expanded to 4 runways and 30 hangars as well as refueling and maintenance facilities. The bases will be host to 7,500 to 12,000 Australian military service personnel. The presence of the bases is surely a good economic opportunity for the nearby city and harbors and will lead to more development as key Australian politicians have said that new Australian bases will see to it the development of nearby population areas.

In Pakistan, Australia leased the Gwandar Peninsula under the Pakistan-Australia Military Bases Agreement or PAMBA, which is quite similar to CAMBA with China. The Gwandar peninsula will be host to a large naval base of the Australian Navy and an air force base with a runway for the Australian Air Force. The peninsula is precisely an excellent natural harbor and its lease to Australia is a great milestone. The old Gwandar Port Authority CPEC will be converted into a refueling and maintenance port for Australian military ships. Koh-E-Batil to the peninsula's northwest will be home to the air force base that will have 30 hangars and 2 runways and able to hold a hundred or more planes. In the peninsula's southwestern portion, the old Singhar Sunset point will be converted into the base's miltary headquarters and radar operations center, the supposed Singhar Housing Scheme will be converted into the base's military quarters, offices and miscellaneous buildings. Blocks N,P,Q,R and T will converted into the naval base, with breakwaters to be established in the southern water's of the peninsula. The peninsula's eastern point, once home to a small Pakistan helipad and hosting a small port in its northern part will be demolished and in converted into the bases supply depots. The area south of the maintenance port will be converted into a special economic zone for business ventures such as malls, clubs and other entertainment. The presence of the military base will boost the retailing and tourism industry in Gwandar Old City. The peninsula's magnigficent natural land formations are also a wonder to behold and time will tell that Gwandar will soon be a large tourist destination.
