Ericsfield Airport
0945 Hours

The plane began to taxi into the hanger that the Thassiphoran delegation was waiting in. As it came to a stop the door to the small jet began to fold down to the ground. A large man, the size of a bear and skin as black as the night began to climb down the steps. He approached the delegation and let out one of his signature grins.

"Welcome to the CSA my friends" He said, his voice booming through the hanger. Before hands could be shook the CSA delegate grabbed the head of the Thassiphoran delegation in a huge bear hug. When he let go, the Thassiphoran almost fell over from the greeting.

"I am Makimbo Atabe, I am here on behalf of the federal government of the City States Alliance. We have transport prepared for you if you would like to join us in the capital city of Megapolis." Before they could speak Mr. Atabe's grin began to form again on his face.

"I am sure you have many questions. I did too, when I first came to this land from my home. That is why I come here to see you, because I know the feeling of coming to a foreign land." He motioned towards the plane. "I can assure you that those questions will be answered. The CSA is very interested in hearing your story as well."

Federal Building, Megapolis
0950 Hours

President Malcolm walked into the board room, which was already full of staff going over the events of the day. "Alright gentlemen, what do you have for me?"

A military staffer from Utopia stood up."We've just heard back from Vault. They have collected some intel on the Thassiphorans that have entered our territory. Low tech, especially with weaponry. But then again everyone is low tech to Vault, even us, so I'm not sure how they compare to the rest of the CSA."

"Well they have been pretty cooperative and peaceful with us so far, I don't see any reason to stress this situation already by sizing them up. Anything else?"

A well-dressed man at the front of the desk quickly grabbed his papers "Well from what we are seeing they seem to be lacking in a lot of what we have technology-wise. Some of the talking seems to suggest that they've got us beat with fuel, but we've been trying to get off of petroleum for a while now so this could be a blessing in disguise."

"That's good to hear, with Vault using fuel cells and Utopia using Utopium, the rest of this alliance needs to catch up."

"Apart from that, I think this could be the start of a beautiful friendship." The rest of the group began to groan at the reference.

"Yes, well, er, thank you. That will be all."

George was one of the best diplomats in the country, he was send on a mission to an unknown nation, to hopefully start a friendly relationship with them. When he started talking, he just randomly chose English, while making a lot of gestures, strangely they understood him, the linguistics who went along with him, were really excited to research this. But now he was chosen to talk to their leader. "Hello, or as they say where I come from: nak" he said, and made a bow. I come from the nation of Floppieland, which lays west from your country, with only the massive nation of Waltarnuss between us. We hope for a long and friendly relationship, and maybe trade agreements, or even you joining our alliance, but maybe that's for the future? We also would like to share our technology with you, if you do the same.

''Megapolis'' 31 October 13:50h

''Thank you for letting me speak here, mister president.
ahem
I will speak to you about a very important event in Thassiphoran history: The isolationary war.
When our nation was still very young, it got into a conflict with a neighbouring theocracy. The theocratic empire in question declared war on Thassiphora for being a ''heathen'' country. The following war was long and bloody. Many died. In the end, there were no victors, only survivors. In fear of getting involved in yet another war, it was decided that all communications with other nations had to be broken up. Every year, the Thassiphoran people decided whether communications with another country were to be established or not. This year, for the first time, the majority voted yes.
When we left Thassiphora, we did not know what to expect. We simply hoped not to find yet another nation led by warmongers, as that hadn't worked out well for anyone before. Then we came across this nation. Better yet; this coalition of nations. Seeing that you are already coöperating with other nations fills us with hope. The hope that you, as a nation, may be willing to coöperate with us as well.

I didn't mean to be rude, but I overheard some talk about your fuel situation. It appears that you are stuck using petroleum, a finite energy source. Our nation has far more effective, renewable fuel sources, like dextrol. You, in turn, have some technology that we do not have. I propose that, as a gesture of mutual trust and hope for a better future, we make a technological exchange: We give your nations the production methods for dextrol and dextrol-powered engines and you give us a lot of those cheap ''electronic components'' for us to experiment with.''

The great debating chamber, Triforam, 1 November, 15:50h

''Why of course! Would love to trade some of our technology with some of yours.''

''Don't be so quick to decide on important matters such as these. We know barely anything about them or about what they'd do with our technology!''
''Well, they have been friendly up until now. Maybe we should give them a chance.''
''Agreed, but it would have to be some small piece of technology. Something that cannot be used against us.''
''But there has to be something in it for them too.''
-After some more debating, the council members finally agree-
''We have a technology we would like to trade with you. We have heard that one of you carry's a piece of technology called a ''usb-stick''. We would very much like to know how it works and how it can be used to store data. In return, we can give you some aetheranal to study. it is a material lighter than air, yet almost as strong as a plastic. It is an improvement on aerogel and very useful in airships. What do you think of this trade?''

“That sounds like a good deal.” Said George, happily “I’ll get the computer scientist.” A couple of minutes later, a man walked in, put down a whiteboard, and started explaining. He talked about transistor, how to make them, how to prevent the loss of memory when the power gets turned off. It took him hours, but at the end even George understood it, and the most advance thing he could do was putting the video on full screen(to make it small again, he turned the computer off.)
“Alright thank you, I think everything is clear now.” Said George “Any questions?”

''No, it was all very clearly explained. Our chief eatherial physicist has confirmed that the workings of this device are theoretically possible and that is good enough for now. You have kept your end of the bargain, now we shall keep ours.''
-A couple of lightly armed guards enter the chamber-
''Do not be alarmed''
''They will lead you to the laboratorea earonauticum, where the properties of eatheranal will be demonstrated to you and where you will be handed a sample to study in your homeland.''

The laboratorea earonauticum, Triforam, 1 November, 20:30h

''Ah, the visitors have arrived! I am sure you have heard this a lot already, but... welcome to our humble nation! Well, let's get started. firstly, eatheranal is a lighter-than-air substance, just like earogel (which you somehow already knew about), except a different material is used to create the kind of structure in which the miasma's* are captured. This results in a stronger structure overall. It has to be noted however that it is generally more difficult to produce etheranal than it is to produce earogel. This is due to the production process requiring an input of eathereal energea**, which we can currently only produce limited amounts of. That is actually how eatheranal got it's name; eathereal --> eatheranal. Is there something that you specifically want to know about? Regarding eatheranal, of course.''

-The researcher hands Cibrán a small file dossier-
''This should answer your first question. This is a detailed file on how eatheranal can be produced. Now, to answer your second question...''
The researcher takes a small cube of eatheranal and a hammer out of a storage locker. He puts the eatheranal on the table and smacks it with the hammer.
''See? Still intact. You can try too, if you want.''

Triforam

The CSA delegation began to discuss political matters with the Thassiphorans in the great debating chamber before being led into the research laboratory. Most of the discussion was in regards to the history of both nations as well as what was discussed in Megapolis.

"Well my friends, I understand your concerns." The booming voice of representative Atabe was hard not to remember "I can assure you that we are not looking for war with your nation, but there are a few things that need to be said before going forward. The first is that you must understand that the City States Alliance was forged in war. It is how we got our start, and to this day we are in conflict with several large nations around the world. It is why our military is so large, and why it is the first concern that comes up when nations speak to us. The second thing that must be said about this comes in one complicated word: Vault. I am sure that you have heard of this nation, especially from some of the Utopian delegates you have spoken to. While I can assure you that they aren't hostile towards you they are a bit of an anomaly in our alliance. Most of the City States such as Megapolis and Utopia have shifted towards economic pursuits. Unfortunately with all the fighting, war and turmoil our alliance of small city-states faces we cannot forget our military needs. It is from this that our alliance has adopted a "specialized structure". What I mean is that each nation has a focus, such as political for Megapolis, economic for Utopia, and so on and so forth. Well, the nation of Vault handles our military affairs. Atabe shifted in his seat, staring at his Thassiphoran counterparts. "Each nation has their own military force, usually a national guard, but for all of our major operations, and special operations such as the special forces, the CSA relies on the expertise of Vault. They have been at this for a long time, and they have no equal. They also are unique in that their technology is much more advanced than the rest of the CSA. Although they do share with us this technology, because they are a small specialized nation they can have this great advance that the rest of the alliance cannot afford." The serious tone was then replaced by the famous smile "My apologies my friends, I did not mean to bore you with my doom and gloom. I just want to make sure that we are on the same page going forward."

Megapolis

The scientists began to file into the boardroom. Already present were several high ranking members of the CSA, including those in the scientific community. The lead scientist moved to the front of the group to address the group from the podium.

"Hello, I am speaking on behalf of our scientific team sent to study with the Thassiphorans. This was a group study where the nation of Floppieland was also present, a newer nation that we have been initiating trade talks with. We have been shown the substance known as eatheranal, and have compiled an extensive file that is in front of you." Many of the members began to sift through the plain envelopes sitting in front of them. "Our estimates is that this could be useful in replacing our more rudimentary plastics. We were also given some information about an alternative fuel source called dextrol. It looks promising but for large-scale production it would take a lot of resources, and we would have to focus on that instead of our solar energy and the Vault-produced fuel cells."

President Malcolm moved towards his microphone at the desk "Excellent news. Anything else?"

"They were very interested in our advances in electronics and computing. We have already sent several samples of memory storage and computing systems for them to research. Looks like their technology branched in a radically different way than ours."

"Alright, and what about this nation of Floppieland?" A younger man in a business suit stepped to the podium from the side.

"We are still compiling some information about them. They came to us to initiate trade, as well as to establish relations with the CSA. We hope to have some information ready for sharing by the end of the month." As he finished up an elderly man in uniform moved towards the president. The group became quite hushed, it was quite a surprise to see such a decorated officer that was supposed to be retired.

"Admiral Hackett, it is excellent to see you here in Megapolis. What brings you from Vault?"

"Pleasure to see you Mr. President. I understand from the files that Thassiphora is interested in some of our tech?"

"That is right admiral, including Vault tech."

"Well, we might be interested in sharing some of our tech. It wouldn't be all of it, most likely the ion engines. We will not discuss or share our research into the Immortarium however."

"That is fine, but I feel like the other shoe is going to drop."

"This progress with Thassiphora has been going very fast. Adding this new nation of Floppieland, as well as Ellis engaging in naval operations in the sea, I feel like we are going to need to all be on the same page here." Admiral Hackett leaned forward "I have sent notification to our special forces located in the Hajin Desert. Commander Ehn will be returning to Vault to assist with security operations at this time, before returning to conduct research and salvaging operations in the desert. We will need his expertise." Many of those present in the boardroom began to whisper and murmur. The commander had been gone for some time looking for artifacts in the middle of nowhere, and had not been heard from in a while.

"I understand your concern admiral but Thassiphora is not hostile towards us"

"We are not talking about Thassiphora. I heard what they said to us at the Megapolis meeting: They were in a bloody war with a theocracy. There might be several nations that we haven't encountered that we need to worry about. Vault is not taking any chances."

The great debating chamber, Triforam, 12 November, 16:00h

-The council is discussing the events of the past couple of days, when suddenly they are interrupted by a door bursting open-
''...We've done it!''
''Sir Elwood, please explain yourself! These are important matters we are discussing!''
''We've done it! We have finally done it! The machine, it works! I have seen it myself!''
''What is he talking about?''
''I think he might be referring to... it can't be. So quickly?''
''Yes! The deadalus project is a succes. The new memory units work far better than we had ever expected and even increase the overall efficiëncy of the device.''
''But that will change everything...''
''Wait a second. How can we be sure that you aren't simply playing us for fools?''
''Why would he do that? He has no reason to.''
''I can show you! I can show you that it works!''

Hidden research lab, unspecified location, xx:xxh

''Ah, the council delegates. I am glad that my little research project is deemed so important as for you to come and visit.''
''Don't you mean OUR research project.''
''I am sorry for my colleague's rudeness. Can you show us the workings of the machine?''
''Ah, yes. You came just in time for that. I was planning on permanently turning it on, since the testing fase is over. I shall give you the honor of turning the lever.''
-The lever is pulled to the ON position. The machine starts to produce a lot of clanging sounds, the gears spinning and twisting loudly. After a while, a panel in the wall opens up and a hole labeled ''insertion point'' becoms visible.-
''There we go. Now, I shall insert a small cube of sugar.''
-After the sugar cube is put into the machine, the wall panel closes. The machine produces a lot of noise, as before, but this time keeps running for a longer period of time before finally stopping. Many sheets of paper with intricate writing exit the machine through a slit in the wall.-
''So, now the sugar cube has been analysed. As you can see, the produced report consists of imagery from scanning, chemical makeup, a Kochlerr spatial image, possible production methods and a lot more.''
''I... this is wonderfull! I cannot believe this!''
''It was only possible thanks to the technology from our new friends. Our analog computational technologies are incredibly powerfull when it comes to making calculations, but they lack the... flexibility needed for efficiënt data storage and transfer. That is where these elctronics come in.''

The great debating chamber, Triforam, 3 November, 16:00h

''Representative Atabe, I would like to say something on the topic of war. I must assure you that is not in any way meant to be insulting, if it may seem that way.
I have seen the weapons your nation's escorting officers carry. The design, the materials used, the ammunitions... it all points towards lethal explosive-propelled weaponry. I am putting the emphasis on lethal, for that is the aspect common to all the weaponry we have seen your men carry. It is also something our weapons tend to lack. In Thassiphora, it is a commonly held belief that no man should die for their actions, not even if those actions involve killing others and that the government should always try to rehabilitate or at least lock up those who (plan to) kill, but should by no means resort to killing them itself. Even our soldiers train with non-lethal weaponry, so that they will not have to destroy the lives of others in order to live on themselves. This belief has been around since the time of the war, when everyone lost someone dear to them and therefor knew the pain that death could cause, not (just) for the one who was killed but for the ones that live on.
I... No, we understand that the people of the CSA might not feel the same, we understand that you might have matters that are more important to you. But I am curious: What is your nations stance on this matter?''

Atabe's smile began to widen, and he held out his hands towards his Thassiphoran counterpart. "That is such a beautiful thing to hear. I must applaud your wonderful nation for such commitment. We certainly do not take any offense to the notion that our way may not be the same as yours. I cannot speak so much for the history of the CSA, I am myself an immigrant from another land, although my past and this nation's past were very similar." Atabe turned to one of the escorts sitting in the corner. "Duncan my good man, you are from Ellis correct?"

"Yes sir," the escort began to shift in his seat, caught off-guard from the question.

"Now in case you do not know, Ellis is one of the nations that make up the CSA. You don't hear much about them because they do not involve themselves much in the affairs of the rest of our alliance. They tend to focus on their domestic issues. See, the nation has been caught in a struggle for quite some time now, where the west half of the island has been overrun with the undead. Yes, you have heard that correctly, the dead have arisen and come to claim the living." He turned back to the guard. "How many casualties have been reported this year?"

"Um...about 10,000 sir. It has been a good year."

"Thank you Duncan. Yes, these numbers are quite low. I think their losses have been about 2 million or so at this point. And that is just the one nation. Our founding came from the fall of the Valcross Federation. This did not come from war or disease but from the shaking of the earth itself. Earthquakes and flooding brought our numbers from almost 20 million to less than 2 million. Duncan, what are the total casualties from monster attacks for the CSA?

"I'm not sure sir, I would have to check." Duncan began to fumble with his phone. "Looks to be about...55,000 since our founding sir, just civilian. Doesn't say anything about military losses."

"Thank you Duncan. Now to tell you my story. I came from a fishing village far south from the CSA and here. There were about 20,000 people that lived in this village, but one day we were attacked by government forces, which was a fancy way of saying thugs and thieves. By the end of the day, our village went from 20,000 people to 12." Atabe leaned forward in his seat, the smile now gone from his face. "When I say I applaud your courage to not kill, I mean it. It is an honorable thing to do, and I wish the rest of the world held your convictions. As for the CSA, we have not been afforded that luxury. Even now we wage war with monsters, our own dead, and several nations that wish to do what history has almost succeeded at 5 times now. Perhaps one day we may be able to learn your peaceful ways, but I am afaid that day has not yet come for us."

Unknown location, Hajin Desert

Blue lights began to dart around the ruins. The small drones that shed the light began to dart around, scanning and collecting samples throughout the site. As the sun began to rise several soldiers began to file out of the domed hard-tents that were lined up near the site. The soldiers, clad in high-tech armor and gear, began to type commands into devices located on their wrists. As this was done the drones began to fly back towards the tents, and rested on a steel platform located in the middle.

"Commander, this is BH-5, drones have completed testing of the site, no new anomalies detected."

"Understood, I am heading back to camp" A few hours later a figure covered in a large poncho arrived at the camp, holding a large snake-like object that trailed behind him a few feet.

"Just another conductor. Not much else to go on. We will probably break camp in a few days."

"Commander, we have received a message from Admiral Hackett. He is requesting our return to Vault."

"What the hell does he think he's doing? I don't take orders from retired men, and I'm not taking over command of the army. That's what the Military Council is for."

"It appears to be for security reasons. The CSA has contacted several new nations."

"Hmm, I guess they want all hands on deck." The commander removed his poncho revealing high-tech armor matching those of his soldiers. "Alright, all units, break camp. We will be returning to Vault." As the Commander said this a large dropship began to fire up its engines, with soldiers filling into the ship or moving crates into the hold.

''Your nation is fighting the undead, you say? I hardly believe that to be possible. Surely, there is some other explaination. Perhaps a sort of... infection?''
''Why did you not tell us about this before? We can probably help. As two people know more than one, so do two nations.''
''Why do you think they did not mention it to us? They obviously don't trust us!''
''You are being unreasonable. We know now and we know from them.''
-The council discusses the matter in the usual, loud way. When they come to an agreement, they turn to face Atabe-
''We would very much like to try to help you with your ...monster-problems, for as of yet you and your nation have given us no reason to believe that you are lying about these issues. If the CSA would like our help, we would most certainly be willing to give it them, although we will require some extra information on the topic and/or for some research teams to be allowed to be dispatched on your territory.
On another topic, the people of our nation have expressed the wish to be able to travel to the CSA, to learn of its culture, people and technology. We understand that it may be a bit too early to open up our borders to eachother, but we implore the CSA to consider it. For a later date.''

Iorle, Floppieland

A large dark SUV began to drive into the capital of Floppieland. Jacob Joel began to wipe the sweat from his brow. A few days ago he was a lowly bureaucrat, his biggest project was determining the most effective distance between streetlamps to conserve costs. And now he was in a convoy heading to this new nation to begin cooperation talks. The typical varied escort of Vault and Utopian security as well as some Megapolan economists joined him, the new CSA Representative to Floppieland.

Rashall Economic Building, Megapolis

A large crowd of represtentatives from the various CSA nations began to file into the lecture hall. Above the podium at the front of the hall was a large camera and screen, which relayed a live feed from several other areas, including Representative Atabe and several Thassiphoran diplomats. The lone figure at the podium, Minister of Foreign Affairs Robert Shu, leaned towards the microphone.

"Good afternoon, nation representatives. We have initiated this meeting to establish mobility rights to the nation of Thassiphora to the nations of the City States Alliance. We will initiate this meeting by voting if we wish to extend these rights to a non-member state; this will be the 4th non-member state to be given this right to enter the CSA. Please cast your vote." The group began to murmur and fiddle with the devices located at their desks. After a half-hour a secretary moved towards the podium and handed a folder to Minister Shu.

"Alright, the votes have been tallied, and Thasshiphora will be extended the general right to travel in the CSA. This only allows them to enter federal land, and we will now open talks to representatives for right of movement within the nations of the CSA themselves." At this point several figures in the back began to line up and leave the hall together.

"The territory of Northern Manish will not be participating in this talk and will not be giving right to travel to Thassiphora, as they are currently in the process of leaving the CSA. The non-member states that currently mobility rights with the CSA are also exempt from this, and the nation of Thassiphora will have to speak to their representatives to discuss mobility rights. Are we in agreement? Alright, let's proceed. One of the members in the front stood up immediately.

"The nation of Megapolis, as well as in capacity as the capital of the City States Alliance, extends mobility rights to the nation of Thassiphora." Some applause began to form in the middle of the group.

"Excellent, thank you representative. This has been noted." Another member, a small round gentleman in very expensive clothes stood up from his chair.

"The nation of Utopia will also extend mobility rights to the nation of Thassiphora." A few claps and some murmuring formed in the middle of the group.

"Excellent, thank you representative. This has been noted." After a few minutes of pause and members looking around in the group a representative in military attire moved forward from where he was sitting.

"The nation of Ellis extends mobility rights to only district 2 and 4 of the green zone in the nation of Ellis. All other zones including yellow and red zones are restricted." This was to be expected for the nation of Ellis, and not much noise was made by the group in this matter.

"Thank you representative, this has been noted." Another military officer stood up near the corner of the room.

"The nation of Vault does not allow freedom of movement. All access to Vault must be done under escort and pre-existing procedures, as per our agreement with the CSA. This will mirror the conditions to be followed by other member states of the CSA." This caused some minor chatter but the room was largely quiet from this.

"Thank you representative, this has been noted. As per the federal mandate the Northern Territories will be open to the nation of Thassiphora. That will be all, thank you for coming."

-A video link has been set up with the Rashall economic building in Megapolis. The council responds to the CSA representatives.-
''Thank you. The nation of Thassiphora is pleased to extend mobility rights to all of the CSA member states, provided Thassiphoran law is folowed, of course. For your convenience, we are currently compiling a text file on one of our newly aqcuired computer systems containing all Thassiphoran laws, together with a short summary of the most important ones. This would likely benefit any citizens from the CSA who would like to travel here. We will send it over as soon as it is done.
Also, we will prepare the construction of infrastructure to support airship travel between our nations on a civillian level. That would make it easier for diplomats to travel between our nations as well.''

Memory square, Triforam, 18 november 16:00h

''...and we are pleased to announce the opening of Thassiphora's first international airline, established between Thassipora and the CSA, specifically the city-states of Megapolis, Utopia and east-Ellis. For more information on any of these CSA member states and their laws, please refer to a government administrative bureau. They will be able to provide more detailed information. PIP's will soon be updated to contain some general information about the CSA and their member states.''

Highway 44, Eastern Territories

The big logger waltzed into the diner towing along his new friend. This Thassiphoran was one of the first tourists to arrive on the new airline, and had made friends quick. Only here for a few weeks, his new CSA friend Robert resolved to show him as much as he could of his little backwater community.

"Weeellll..." Robert's strong accent recognizable amongst all the chatter of the diner. "I wun't take no fur an answer! Mary here surves the best pies in all erv the Territoories!" As they sat down and began chatting about the weather, an air raid siren began to howl in the distance. A couple of patrons in the diner, mostly cops, began to rush out towards their cars. Shortly after a large grey SUV drove by with several soldiers hanging out the windows; the one mark on the vehicle being The Utopia Corporation, Security Division.

"Aww boy, luuks like a monster has bin spotted. Musta be pretty small though, only a couple of mercenaries respondin. Now, about that pie?"

Warehouse 442, Megapolis

A lot of excitement was forming around the large warehouse. Several members of the Construction Corps began to file onto a bus which would be taking them to the airport. Although most of the chatter was about what kind of food would be awaiting them in Thassiphora, a few began to talk about their mission. The new partner was hungry for electronics, and simply sending over samples and products was not enough to satisfy their curiosity. It was decided that the CSA would send a team of electrical and computer engineers to the country in a cultural exchange, and to facilitate better research between the two nations. As the bus began to drive out of the parking lot the team lead stood up from his seat at the front.

"All right guys, I know you are excited about travelling to Thassiphora, but I wanted to go over a couple of things before we get underway. First thing, respect the laws when we get there. I know this seems pretty obvious, but it's not only because it is their country we are going to. You are representing the CSA to the people of Thassiphora, so make sure we show them how we act. Second thing, our primary focus is research and development. Remember, this is not a vacation! If you are out partying and try to call in sick the next day, you will be back on a plane before you know it. Finally, some of you may be wondering why we don't have any security with us. Usually we have a couple security members with us when going overseas, however due to Thassiphoran laws we are going to be going in without. This is a big trust exercise between our nations so, again, make sure you are on your best behavior."

Iorle, Floppieland

The hustle and rush of the office had largely died down since they arrived in Floppieland. Talks had been quite slow but showed promise. Jacob began to wander around the main office, looking over the shoulders of the workers assigned to his mission. He was still waiting to hear back from the federal government about what kind of progress they would like him to make, there was so much excitement over the talks with the Thassiphorans that he had been largely ignored lately. Perhaps it was time to go for a walk, to get a feel for the city that he was in and to see what this new land could offer him. Besides, he had been spending too much time behind a computer, and if he had to see that white screen one more time he was going to lose it.

aetherim airport, 20 november, 12:00h

''Our dear guests from the CSA, I am pleased to welcome you in our nation! My job is to explain some important aspects of Thassiphoran infrastructure. First of all, everyone in Thassiphora, including guests, have the right to get an id-bound resonet account. To clarify:
Resonet is a data-distribution network which allows citizens, corporations and the government to share information with eachother. Guests can access this network too, but cannot themselves share any information apart from text and pictures. This can all be done by accessing ones account on a Public Information Point or PIP for short. To access your accounts, use these.''

-She hands out several similar metallic passes-
''To access resonet, slide this plate through the scanner on any PIP in Thassiphora. The first time you do this, you have to follow some simple steps to set up your account, like choosing a code you have to enter every time when you want to access your account. This makes it more secure. Does anyone have any questions?''

The great debating chamber, Triforam, 22 November, 16:30h

''We haven't heard from Floppieland for a while now. What could that mean?''
''They're plotting an attack!''
''That is highly improbable. Maybe we should send over a delegation?''
''But we don't know where they are!''
''We know what direction they approached us from and what direction they left in.They went the same direction both times. We could send an exploratory pinnacle-class airship in that direction. What do you think?''
-After the usual debating, the council made its decision-
''That's settled then, we will send over an airship in that direction. We will ask Henry to assemble a delegation. They will leave on the 24th.''

Highway 44, Eastern Territories

''This pie indeed does taste great, my friend. But can I ask you something? What are these monsters your country is fighting? This is he first time I have heard of something like that.''

A month ago Halli Schnur found out that all of Waltarnuss had died off, because of the plague. Out of respect he ordered the army to bury the dead, however the centrists used it to gain more power. They claimed Floppieland should colonize it, Halli Schnur said to them that it was disrespectful. However the people started rioting, the police tried to gain control, but so far they only manged to regain it in Iorle. Now that he could do his job again, he was going to send a delegation to Thassipora again, and ask if he could lay down a telephone cable, so he could always contact them, and of course the delegation was going to tell what happened.

Iorle, Floppieland

What was once quiet and boredom not passed to pandemonium. The embassy was caught off-guard by the rioting, and had barred its doors in order to prevent their guard from being overrun; they only had some mercenaries from Utopia, and certainly not enough to feel safe. Ambassador Jacob had requested a squad of Vault marines to reinforce their building, but most of the main forces were beginning preparations to deal with the issue of Waltarnuss. It was time to reach out again to the Floppieland government to see what was going on. If the situation deteriorated any further, they would have to abandon this embassy as soon as they had opened it.

Skydeck, Vault

Several commanders had began forming up their units. The fall of Waltarnuss had been swift and without warning. Although most of the population had died from the plague, there was a large portion that had degenerated to the ranks of the undead. Fortunately they were isolated in a metropolitan area. The CSA, however, decided that an undead population this close to CSA territory could not be allowed. Although the military units had been formed, there was the question of research teams. The CSA had done enough research with the undead populations of Ellis, but there was an opportunity for the nation of Thassiphora, who was still new to this threat to have a chance to use their unique research methods and technology. The main commander sent out a video communication to the government of Thassiphora.

"Greetings. I am Commander Fein of the Vault Armed Forces. I am sending this message to inform you of an operation taking place in the fallen nation of Waltarnuss. We will be conducting a military operation to eliminate the undead threat in this area, however we are extending this invitation for your science teams to assist in the operation. They will be provided a security detail of one of our forces that will be present. This should provide adequate research and information into the undead threat, which we understand has not be encountered in your nation. Thank you."

Small riots have broken out again in Iorle, Halli Schnur send in the military police to deal with it.
Halli Schnur then held a speech for his people: “fellow Flops, one of the foundations of our nation is democracy, every man has the right to decide on the course of the nation, however now that I have gone against your wishes, you have started rioting, it even delayed elections. I should not be rewarding this behaviour, however it looks like people really want a colony, so we’ll have a direct vote about it. I know a colony sounds tempting, but deep in your heart you know that it’s wrong to colonize a mass-grave, please vote the right thing.

-After the council of the great seven received a message from vault regarding a research oppurtunity, they did not hesitate to send a research team-

Zenith-class* airship A12, 24 November, 15:00h

''3'o clock already? well, time flies by when you're having fun. time for another systems check. How is everything holding up, chieftain** Maxwell?''
''Everything is in working order, Lead navigator Sue.''
''Excellent. If we continue on like this, we should arrive there in 2 days or so.''
''I wonder if we are really going to see undead people, or whether they are just ''undead'' people. In costumes. Something tells me that this is too good to be true, something so new and exciting, so unexpected.''
''Something tells me you're just not very trusting of our new friends. Thruth be told, I am having my own doubts as well. But the councilmembers trust them and they haven't let us down before. I guess we'll see.''

Zenith-class airship A12, 25 November, 15:00h

''Time for another systems check. You know the drill, chieftain.''
''All systems are in working order, Sue. No problems here.''
''Splendid! we should arrive at our destination by tomorrow afternoon.''
''Exce... Sue, have you looked out of the window recently?''
''Why, what i... what are those things? They look like giant reptiles! Send a message to vault and the council. We'll get there later. We HAVE to set up a small research outpost here. It'll take about half a day to complete.''
''Yes, lead navigator. I will compose a message and give the order right away.''

*A Zenith-class airship is the second-largest skyborn vehicle that the Thassiphoran military has in use. It is large enough to carry several hundreds of crew and can be equipped to carry large modules for the construction of outposts and research stations instead of the usual weaponry.
**Thassiphoran military rank that is about equivalent to captain. It originates from the original indiginous tribe(s) that the Thassiphoran people descend from.

Pinnacle-class airship B-121, 25 november, 15:00h

''Sir, you might want to see this...''
''What is it John, something important?''
''Yes, at least.. I think it is... We have encountered something... weird. As you ordered, we had made a detour around that stormfront. We passed it to the north. Everything went well, but ...there are some peculiar rock formations.''
''That is hardly unusual.''
''The weird thing is... they look awfully synthetic. It doesn't look like anything nature could ever create. The edges are razor-sharp and with the mechanomat* you can see a weird symbol.''
''What? Let me take a look then.''
''Certainly.''
''Let the machine make a fotograph of it. It looks an awful lot like the symbol from the ancient theocracy. I can still remember that symbol from school. Let the MCG** mark this location. We'll come back here afterwards. I will contact the council about this find.''

Halli Schnur held another speech for his people: "Fellow Flops, you have stopped rioting, and have instead gone voting, I thank you for that. The results are in: you voted the right thing, only 45,6% vote for a colony. I hope this not another excuse to start rioting.
He then send somebody to check if everything was now calm. He came back a couple of hours later, and said: "no new riots started, only a couple of self-proclaimed new nations in the west." "Good" said Halli "just cut off the water and power to those new nations, and let's see how long they last."
"Ok sir, will do."
