I messaged the admin but this is just for the records, plus a tag for the shiny new thread

If that is what you think Ardoki is implying then probably yes, if it's what you think New Aeyariss is implying then no.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I was referring to Ardoki.

I mean this is Ardoki we are talking about...

This is the guy who claimed to have killed like 5mil "Chileans" because some Chile clone banned gay marriage or something like that...

It's not French,it's not Spanish,it's Inyurstan
"Inyourfaceistan" refers to my player/user name, "Inyursta" is my IC name. NOT INYURSTAN. IF YOU CALL INYURSTA "INYURSTAN" THEN IT SHOWS THAT YOU CANT READ. Just refer to me as IYF or Stan.

So you are saying that you send people with "hateful, intolerant and backward" views for a vacation?

Thousands of Christians died, torn apart by lions or subject to torture. Imagine Christians preaching those views.

So to say, those people won't break, thus, all you are doing is funding them a nice vacation out of society.

Thanks. You are actually not that bad...

So stoning women to death if they have sex before marriage, is not hateful, intolerant or backward in your opinion?

Prevalent modern Christian practices =/= Prevalent past Christrian practices.

I don't ever remember being taught to carry out such an archaic practice in Confirmation Classes...

Are you stoned or something?

Modern Christian practices =/= Past Christrian practices.

I'm almost offended...

Are you stoned or something?

The KKK are modern Christians.

So are roughly half the religiously-raised armies in Northern and Central Africa.

I'm decently sure the Aryan Brotherhood is somewhat-Christian-based as well.

I was quoting a law from the Bible, the christian holy book. If a person claims to be a christian, they should follow their holy book.

The Apostolic Conference absolved Christians of the obligation to follow Old Testament laws. Learn a thing or two about a subject before you go condemning it.

The vast majority of christians still follow the Old Testament.

If that were true, they would have bothered to remove the Old Testament from the Bible.

So some Christians nowadays are okay with not stoning people or not worrying about not mixing fabrics, but when it comes to gays, then bring out the Old Testament?

What I interpreted his question to be was a generalisation.

He is implying that a nation's Christian population totally supports stoning, which a far-fetched statement to say the least.

You're right, it's almost like all large groups that have constantly divided and reformed over millennia will have some differences in belief. It'd be even crazier if every one of those groups was then made up of individuals who don't necessarily represent the whole... but you're right. It's better to just paint them all as "wishy washy" because all 2.184 billion of them don't agree on everything.

[/sarcasm] I ended the BBC for you.

I was talking about the individuals as wishy-washy. The word "certain" was key in that sentence. As in, I don't understand how some people are able to ignore some things while remembering others. If you don't have to follow a set of rules, then don't follow them, or if you are, then do. But don't pick one out of a dozen for the lols.

Selective faith ensures that religion can change to suit different times and different people. If we all just followed the exact rules we were taught, every Christian would follow the same rules as the Christians in the 1st Century. There would be no protestantism, no orthodoxy, no diversity. It's good to encourage critical thinking in regards to religion, even if it means adhering to some parts of faith instead of others. In this way, there is always a diversity of ideas and a constantly evolving community and discussion.
