She stood up and walked over to it, believing it to simply be a servant coming to check on her for it would be only ten minutes before breakfast. She wore a simple casual pink dress, as that had been said by the Queen as to dress casually for the lovely picnic. This meant usual sun dresses or such for the ladies, or even jeans and a shirt for the more rebellious ones and casual men's wear for the gentlemen, such as jeans or shorts and maybe a collared shirt.

The Princess Royal opened the door, already speaking as she did so.
