Dedicated to preservation and promotion of friendship, liberty, stability and peace in the greater Pony Lands region;
seeking to find, secure and promote good will and cooperation between the nations of the greater Pony Lands region;
seeking to promote ever greater economic prosperity among the nations of the greater Pony Lands region and all entities and beings that inhabit it;
seeking to create an unified front dedicated to protection of the greater Pony Lands region against external aggression and internal chaos and strife;
recognizing that, ultimately, all sapient beings regardless of species, nationality or creed are equally endowed with certain unalienable rights, which stand to be protected;
striving to ensure a peaceful, stable and productive future for the greater Pony Lands region;
WE THE UNDERSIGNED hereby ratify the underlying Treaty and the establishment of the PONY LANDS TREATY ORGANIZATION to which the respective entities we represent are party.
ARTICLE I: Collective Security
a) All signatories of the Pony Lands Treaty Organization will agree to defend each other from external aggression; an attack upon one signatory will be considered a collective attack upon the Pony Lands Treaty Organization and all its signatories.
b) All signatories of the Pony Lands Treaty Organization will agree to provide military assistance to each other in case of conflict or crisis, including but not limited to military passage rights, basing rights and direct intervention. All such measures will be deliberated through the decision-making process provided by this Treaty.
c) No signatory shall aggress against another. All conflicts between members should be mediated peacefully. Should an armed conflict come to be between signatories, the Pony Lands Treaty Organization will intervene against the determined aggressor to restore peace.
d) All signatories will agree to provide assistance to one another in non-military crises and all matters, especially should such issue concern the common interest and well-being of other signatories. All such measures will be deliberated through the decision-making process provided by this Treaty.
ARTICLE II: Economic Agreements
a) All signatories will extend upon one another the status of the most favored nation in trade; in effect, treating each other in trade and economic relations on the same most favorable and preferential terms they do with any nation they trade with.
b) No signatory will level additional tariffs and taxes against trade and business affiliated with another signatory beyond what is their most favorable terms.
c) All signatories will agree to, within the auspices of this Treaty, devise further agreements and programs towards greater integration of economies and institutions between one another, and elimination of economic barriers between one another. All such measures will be deliberated through the decision-making process provided by this Treaty.
ARTICLE III: Organization
a) To carry out the duties outlined in the above Articles, the Pony Lands Treaty Organization Council shall be formed. It will consist of two councillors per Signatory, a civilian official in service to the government and a military liaison in service to the armed forces. This Council will serve to arbitrate conflicts between signatories, interpret the above Treaty, and deliberate upon immediate policy of the Pony Lands Treaty Organization.
b) Further, a Pony Lands Treaty Organization Parliament shall be formed, to convene annually and deliberate strategic issues facing this Organization, advise the Council, and provide greater transparency and cooperation between the Signatories' respective governing bodies. This Parliament will consist, alloting to each Signatory an equal number of seats, from government officials from each Signatory, chosen by the Signatory according to their political custom.
c) A Joint Command shall be formed, to facilitate military cooperation between Signatories, and coordinate activities in defence, aid, peacekeeping, exercises and other.
ARTICLE IV: Membership
a) A party, having signed this Treaty, and ratified it fully through their appropriate legal process, is considered a signatory and member of the Pony Lands Treaty Organization, to whom extend the full protections and duties outlined in this Treaty.
b) Should a future party apply to sign this Treaty and join the Pony Lands Treaty Organization, or be introduced to it by advice of a confirmed Signatory, its membership will be deliberated by the Council, and accepted by majority vote.
