OOC Thread/IC Thread
Stage and Contest Details

This is the draft thread of the 19th World Hit Festival. Think of it as the dress rehearsal before the big event itself. In this thread participants will prepare their entries (i.e. lyrics, RP etc.) to be transferred to the IC thread by the host. How early you finish your entry won't affect anything, but if you fail to finish or submit it on time, it won't appear in the IC thread and you won't be considered a participant.

The deadline is July 20.

A draw was held at RTVK headquarters to determine the running order of the competition, and was observed by an independent notary. It doesn't affect the order in which you post in this thread, which doesn't matter. Post anytime before the deadline.

The Sword Bloke
Ownerbar - Angelou
Tune: Dschingis Khan 'Moscow' English Version

The 3 members of Ownerbar are seen on stage. The 3 Ownerbar members are dressed up; 2 members are dressed up as bears with Swordean flags painted on them, and one is dressed as Shop Owner. The conductor of the song is welcomed.

Please welcome the conductor of the Swordean entry, Shop Owner.

The crowd claps. Ownerbar start singing and dancing.

Angelou
In TSB, Esportiva
Capital City of the great land
An ultra-modern place

Ownerbar are now doing a simple left step-right step dance. They start singing again.

Angelou
Your giant history grows
Even through blood and gore
You make this nation proud

3 female dancers dressed as daredevils with Swordean flags and the state flag of Swordean Capital Territory, where Angelou is located. Everyone starts clapping and singing.

And every day, day, day there is soccer
And every day, day, day there is hockey
And every day, day, day there's blood and gore
Here's to you Owner, hey Owner ho!

Everyone starts doing the Polker, a traditional Swordean war dance which involves strikes to the neck of the fellow dancers.

Angelou, Angelou, come for all the blood and gore
You'll just want to stay for more
Yo yo yo yo yo yo
Angelou, Angelou, Join me for some hockey fun
Icy fields and hot dog buns
Yo yo yo yo yo yo
Angelou, Angelou, Angelou Steaks full of good
Give you a strong build so you're ready to fight
Yo yo yo yo yo yo
Angelou, Angelou, modern capital of Esportiva
Do some drinking in our bar
Yo yo yo yo yo yo

Angelou, la la la la la la la la la la la la la la yo yo yo yo yo yay!
Angelou, la la la la la la la la la la la la la la yo yo yo yo yo yay!

Everyone pauses their dancing and then unleash toy guns from their pockets, and aim them at themselves, flopping onto the ground before wiggling themselves back up again. They start singing.

Angelou
Your presence with us stays strong
Even when buildings are gone
You make us happy

They start up another Swordean war dance, the Nuker. They continue singing.

Angelou
You fill us all with joy
You wake us from our gloomy night
When we visit you

Everyone continues the dance while singing.

And every day, day, day there is soccer
And every day, day, day there is hockey
And every day, day, day there's blood and gore
Here's to you Owner, hey Owner ho!

Angelou, Angelou, come for all the blood and gore
You'll just want to stay for more
Yo yo yo yo yo yo
Angelou, Angelou, Join me for some hockey fun
Icy fields and hot dog buns
Yo yo yo yo yo yo
Angelou, Angelou, Angelou Steaks full of good
Give you a strong build so you're ready to fight
Yo yo yo yo yo yo
Angelou, Angelou, modern capital of Esportiva
Do some drinking in our bar
Yo yo yo yo yo yo

Angelou, la la la la la la la la la la la la la la yo yo yo yo yo yay!
Angelou, la la la la la la la la la la la la la la yo yo yo yo yo yay!

Everyone pauses. The 3 men form a huddle onstage, while the women dance around them.

Angelou Angelou!
Angelou Angelou, take The Sword Bloke in your arms
Their feelings will make you feel charmed
Yo yo yo yo yo yo
Angelou Angelou, everyone comes and goes
Feelings of joy are always shared
Yo yo yo yo yo!

Everyone then starts up another war dance, the Palik.

And every day, day, day there is soccer
And every day, day, day there is hockey
And every day, day, day there's blood and gore
Here's to you Owner, hey Owner ho!

Two more dancers come on stage, doing backflips. Fireworks are set off, turning Kasin into a total Swordean style disco.

Angelou, Angelou, come for all the blood and gore
You'll just want to stay for more
Yo yo yo yo yo yo
Angelou, Angelou, Join me for some hockey fun
Icy fields and hot dog buns
Yo yo yo yo yo yo
Angelou, Angelou, Angelou Steaks full of good
Give you a strong build so you're ready to fight
Yo yo yo yo yo yo
Angelou, Angelou, modern capital of Esportiva
Do some drinking in our bar
Yo yo yo yo yo!

Everybody bows as the conductor Shop Owner starts writing a speech for the expected Swordean victory. The crowd cheers, with new fans of The Sword Bloke, Angelou & Shop Owner chanting 'The Sword Bloke', 'Angelou' and 'Shop Owner'. There is believed to be a rise in Angelou's tourism industry thanks to the song.

Andårs & Jønas - Drinkå Sprit

Image

Andårs and Jønas, both 24, stand centre stage. Both are wearing suits with the colours of the Ekozian (Andårs) and Milean (Jøhan) flags. Either side of the stage are two giant wine glasses with a scantily-clad female dancer swimming around inside. There are 4 dancers behind Andårs and 4 behind Jønas wearing bikini's carrying bottles of Vodka, Champagne and many others. Each bottle is rigged with a sparkling firework machine. Andårs starts to sing.

Here the party never ends
So come and join us my friend,
A never ending supply of the finest in vodka, for you
You will not remember, it's true.

Jønas then crouches down looking directly into the camera. He is moving his arm to the beat has he begins his rap. Th dancers are surrounding both Andårs and Jønas.

Ok now, Ok.
Pour another vodka, throw in down,
Triple or quadrouple, doesn't matter, paint the town
All that matter's is you drink until you hit the floor,
Every minute, throw it down so you can ask for more,
When you're at the club, get a girl or a guy,
Fuck them in the toilets, on the floor, you know why?
The party never ends while we're drinking, getting high.
Drinkå sprit right through the night

The camera zooms out. The dancers stand around and behind Andårs and Jønas in a crowd-like formation. They all chant the chorus and pump their firsts in the air. As the beat drops, explosions either side of the stage start, and the firework machines from the bottles are lit with the dancers spraying Andårs and Jønas. Both Andårs and Jønas are juping around the stage encouraging the audience to get up and dance.

GRAB THE VODKA, AND THROW IT DOWN NOW.
YOU GO HARD, OR GO HOME.
DRINKÅ SPRIT

DRINKÅ SPRIT

The camera pans around the stadium as the music begins to slow down and pans directly back onto Andårs and Jønas. Jønas begins to rap again.

Fuck around, pull it out, be a whore,
When your done, get a glass, pour some more,
6am, fuck the time, got work in the morn.
Fuck around, pull it out, be a whore,
When your done, get a glass, pour some more,
6am, fuck the time, got work in the morn.

As Andårs and Jønas behind to chant the chorus with the dancers behind them. The camera pans around to the sides of the stage where giant foam bottles are visible. Dancers are inside these foam costumes and make their way to the centre of the stage. as the beat kicks in. When the beat drops, strobe lighting begins and the crowd start reacting.

GRAB THE VODKA, AND THROW IT DOWN NOW.
YOU GO HARD, OR GO HOME.
DRINKÅ SPRIT

DRINKÅ SPRIT

Andårs and Jønas lay on the floor and the camera pans directly above them spinning around panning in closer and closer. Andårs starts to sing.

Can't feel my face but I'm not going home now,
Pop some pills and I'll feel as right as rain now,
Can't feel my face but I'm not going home now,
Pop some pills and I'll feel as right as rain now,
Can't feel my face but I'm not going home now,
Pop some pills and I'll feel as right as rain now,

Both Andårs and Jønas stand up and make their way to centre stage. The are both in clear view of the camera. All the dancers, females in giants cups and the giant foam bottle dancers fist pump as they all sing the final part of the song. After the song finishes, a giant bang of light is visible with fireworks and pyrotechnics.

GRAB THE VODKA, AND THROW IT DOWN NOW.
YOU GO HARD, OR GO HOME.
DRINKÅ SPRIT

Andårs & Jønas: Thanks. Tåkk!! DRINKÅ SPRIIIIIIITTTTTTTT

Normandy and Picardy
Esfelot - Dead Inside
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLz61g0JLxQ

Esfelot are a group from Honfleur, Normandy and Picardy. A small harbour town that has seen better days, Honfleur wasn't the best of homes for a group like Esfelot. All of the members have known each other since nursery school, and are very close. They even went to the University of Caen together, and this is where they found their chance. Although the band had existed for several years prior, they only were able to perform and do well in Caen, where all but the drummer, Marcesco Hjuven, live (Marcesco lives in the small town of Gervason, near Caen). They took part in a musical contest and won first prize and swiftly got a record deal. They have since had a series of top 10 hits.

The stadium is completely dark. Smoke covers the stage, although this can't be seen. As the music begins, a spotlight appears over Julianna, the singer of Esfelot, before quickly disappearing again. The same happens with Marcesco and with Sebastian, the main guitarist of the group. As the song begins, a very dim spotlight shines on Julianna, wearing this dress. The smoke wisps around her as she begins to sing. She appears to be tired and worn. The background shows a wall that looks like it could crumble at any moment. Marcesco and Sebastian can no longer be seen.

I am lost in despair
Unsure where to go
My mind won't mend
I'm falling endlessly
Falling so deep

The spotlight intensifies slightly, and at the very right end of the stage a violinist (Michel Horen), under a dim spotlight, appears, the smoking wisping around his feet. He is dressed in a long black cloak and his face is obscured.

I have no choice
The darkness comes
It catches up eventually
I am done
I am done now

The general lighting actually turns on now, but incredibly dimly. Sebastian, Marcesco and Joul Esverer can now faintly be seen, playing their instruments. They are all dressed in something like this, but without the hat or cane.

And I hope that it ends soon
And I want it to stop
And I'm just going to let go

The lights suddenly flash as the chorus begins before returning to a level slightly above what they were at during the verses. The violinist 'disappears' (the cameras turn away, allowing him to leave the stage). Plants begin to grow on the wall in the background, weaving in and around and their roots creating cracks in the bricks.

'Cause I am dead inside
I am lost
I have no reason to hold on
So the darkness will take me
And make me its own
As the shadows creep up on me
I'm dead inside
I'm dead inside

As the chorus ends, the cameras begin a panning shot of the band from left to right. The lighting remains at the same level, and on the background, the last word of each sentence, not counting 'yeah' ( 'lose', 'gain', 'myself', 'misery' and 'hurts') in red with a paint like texture.

I have nothing to lose
But nothing to gain
I'm trapped in myself
Trapped in my own misery
And it hurts, yeah

The cameras go around Julianna, and she sings into the camera. She appears to be fragile and full of melancholy.

I am not too sure why
Why I'm even still here
But all I know
Is that I'll be leaving soon
Leaving it all

The guitarists, who were far away from Julianna and Marcesco up until this point, begin to walk in towards them. It is revealed that they have chains around their legs, so they walk slowly and stop short of Julianna

And I hope that it ends soon
And I want it to stop
And I'm just going to let go

The lights flash again, and they gain a slightly red tinge. The cameras at first appear to begin a panning shot, before showing Sebastian (on the left) and then they show a close up of Julianna, who appears to be hopeless and is deathly pale.

'Cause I am dead inside
I am lost
I have no reason to hold on
So the darkness will take me
And make me its own
As the shadows creep up on me
I'm dead inside
I'm dead inside
I'm dead inside
I'm dead inside
I'm dead inside

As the music becomes softer, the lighter does as well, leaving just a dim spotlight on Julianna. The camera goes around her, at first slowly but by the very end of this section it is going at a relatively quick pace. The smoke machine is turned on slightly, causing bits of Julianna's dress to float around and a few strategically placed bits fall off, as if she is disintegrating.

I am floating away
I am floating away
No need to say anything
All of this pain will go away

As the guitar solo begins, the lights become lighter and the wall in the background crumbles to pieces, showing a white, ethereal white. The cameras switch to show Sebastian playing his bit, and when they turn around Julianna is nowhere to be seen. It then shows Joul on his guitar. As the song begins again, the cameras return to where Julianna was standing, but she isn't standing there. The second time the chorus is sung, however, she walks from the very back of the stage to where she stood previously. At the very end, she seemingly collapses to the fall.

'Cause I am dead inside
I am lost
I have no reason to hold on
So the darkness will take me
And make me its own
As the shadows creep up on me
'Cause I am dead inside
I am lost
I have no reason to hold on
So the darkness will take me
And make me its own
As the shadows creep up on me
I'm dead inside
I'm dead inside
I'm dead inside
I'm dead inside
I'm dead inside

The Free City Of Rouen
Esajaçan - I Need Somebody
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yk8jV7r6VMk

Esajaçan, full name Merindo Esajaçan, is a Singer-Songwriter from the Sentlan area of Rouen. He is a recently discovered act, having until recently only done small gigs as an opening act for the main act. BNRT's new "Discover" project found Esajaçan and recently, he won the Discovery Project's "Discover New Music" festival, and therefore won the prize of representing Rouen at WHF 19 in Kasin, Kalosia. He has also received the "Best Young Talent" award at the Normand Music Awards (NMAs). He is known for his minimalist style, which has shaped his performances and his music, including his performance at the NMAs and the one in Kasin tonight.

The stage is completely dark. As the song begins, a dim spotlight shines on Esajaçan, who is wearing a black jumper and black trousers, nothing more. There is absolutely nothing visible on stage but him. As he begins to sing, the cameras focus on his face, particularly his mouth, and throughout most of the verse this is all that is seen. However, towards the end of the verse the cameras begin to zoom out.

Being alone is not fun, dear
Being alone is not a laugh
I have been left by myself too many times
Been left to wither and die on my own
And they don't even stop to care

As the prechorus is sung, the cameras keep zooming out, giving a clearer view of the stage. The lights turn on a little, so that the audience can see four backing singers, in the same costume as Esajaçan but in white, walk in an emotionless manner onto the stage, two on either side of Esajaçan. He seems unaware of the backing singers as they walk on stage. As the chorus begins, the cameras begin to pan around Esajaçan, from his left to his right. Other than that, not much else happens, other than the fact that the backing singers join in.

I need somebody
I can't take this pain alone
I need someone to carry me to shore

I need somebody
(Somebody like you, somebody like you)
I need somebody
(Someone to save me, someone to make me)
I cannot survive
Without someone to hold me
I need somebody
Somebody like you

During the first line of the verse, a flash of red appears in a raindrop shape for a moment on the background, before quickly vanishing. The same happens as Esajaçan sings the second line. As he keeps on singing, the background - which is in the view of the cameras, begins to fill with little red raindrops in a circular pattern.

Love has never really been my thing
But I've always tried to find someone
After what I've been through I need someone
After all I've done I need somebody
And I, I'd be dead by myself

As the prechorus begins once again, the red drops rotate in an anti-clockwise manner, but other than that not much else of any note happens, with Esajaçan still standing almost dead still in the centre of the stage. The chorus is almost identical to the previous one except the obvious change in background.

I need somebody
I can't take this pain alone
I need someone to carry me to shore

I need somebody
(Somebody like you, somebody like you)
I need somebody
(Someone to save me, someone to make me)
I cannot survive
Without someone to hold me
I need somebody

During the bridge section, the cameras return to focus on Esajaçan, who for the first time appears to sing with some form of emotion. At one point, he almost falls to the ground although this is intentional. He then picks himself up, just before the final chorus.

Someone one like you
Someone who can pick me off the ground
Make something beautiful
Out of this monstrosity
Out of this wreck

The cameras zoom out from Esajaçan rather rapidly, once again showing a full view of the stage. The background once again show the drops of colour spinning around, but rather than being just red there are now also white and blue drops. Other than that, nothing happens until the song ends.

I need somebody
(Somebody like you, somebody like you)
I need somebody
(Someone to save me, someone to make me)
I need somebody
(Somebody like you, somebody like you)
I need somebody
(Someone to save me, someone to make me)
I cannot survive
Without someone to hold me
I need somebody
Someone like you

1. Anollasia
The Punksters - Another Kind of Monster
Tune: Stiff Little Fingers - Alternative Ulster

Left to right: Soner Stafford, Nail Beymen, Michael Prichard, and Scott Hayes

The Punksters are a punk rock band formed in Troutville, Anollasia in 1994. The band consists of Scott Hayes (vocals), Michael Prichard (guitar), Nail Beymen (drums), and Soner Stafford (bass guitar). They have released 10 studio albums and remain the most well-known Anollasian punk rock band (though they're only popular within the subgenre). They generally sing about social issues and other "punk" things.

They were chosen to promote free speech and freedom of expression. This song is not specifically directed to anyone, but condemns governments that don't care about their people, militarism, and expansionism (even though these aren't [major] problems in Anollasia).

Asterisks denote the visuals on the LED screen per verse. Also, whenever there's no background, white flashes on a black background to the rhythm.

The stage is dark. A spotlight shines on Michael Prichard and he starts playing the guitar intro. Then, spotlights shine on Nail Beymen and Soner Stafford as they start playing their instruments rapidly as well. A spotlight shines on Scott Hayes instantly and he starts singing. They are all dressed in leather, obeying the punk stereotype, minus the spiky hair. He's also "bouncing" his right leg to the beat.

*Clock
**Medicine
***Calvin peeing
****George Bush walking

Seven more hours 'till parliament*
Let's show how their medicine tastes**
They piss on their beautiful people***
And then they walk back to their stand****

Scott, as well as the rest of the band are obviously very energetic and Scott seems a bit angry. The band seems very "into the moment". Scott picks up his microphone from the microphone stand.

*NOTHING written in black on a white background
**LOVE and CARE written in black on a white background
***Anonymous Facebook avatar
****$$$ written in black on a white background
*****Two animals mating (no image needed) followed by HATE written in black on a white background

We don't want nothing*
Only love and care**
But they don't even know you, now***
They just want money****
That's all you need to breed hate*****

Right after "can't you see", there's a short drum lick (tum tum tum tum) where Scott claps his hands the same, though it's not audible. The lights also flash the same way.

*Black background
**Government building

Can't you see?*
It's another kind of monster!**

The band is really angry and Scott gives Hitler the middle finger.

*Crying child
**Legislature
***Child soldiers
****Adolf Hitler

Grabbing children that's yours*
It's another kind of monster!**
Making them a military force***
Another kind of monster!****

While singing "Buy some victory bonds", Scott makes mimicking gestures and he pretty much growls during "native land". He also gives Vladimir Putin the middle finger.

*Victory bond propaganda
**Vladimir Putin
***Killing of Native Americans

"Buy some victory bonds!"*
Another kind of monster!**
"I'll take your native land!"***

While singing "It tickles your imagination", Scott 'tickles' his head and then flexes and kisses his arm during the next verse. He gestures toward his head in the fourth verse.

*Brain
**Soldiers marching inside said brain (except as a white silhouette)
***Thermometer
****Dog barking at marching soldiers

It tickles your imagination*
You've got an army of tough men**
But I'm sick of repression***
It's barking in my head!****

He points his arm toward the LED screen (showing war-torn scenery) as if saying "voila!" He points his arm towards the LED screen (showing Islamic extremists), as if he's saying "is religion the only love we're gonna have?"

*War-torn landscape
**Catacombs
***Islamic extremists

Is this the kind of place you wanna live?*
Too many people die everyday**
Is this the only love we're gonna have?***

There's another drum lick, more clapping from Scott, and lights flashing to the drum. He also slightly grins, because he finds the use of the movie poster of The Dictator amusing.

*Black background
**The Dictator

Can't you see?*
It's another kind of monster!**

Scott points to the audience during the first verse ("grabbing children that's yours").

*Crying children
**Kim Jong-un
***Child soldier
****Joseph Stalin

Grabbing children that's yours*
It's another kind of monster!**
Making them a military force***
Another kind of monster!****

Scott does his mimicking gestures again for the first verse and growls during "native land".

*Victory bond propaganda
**Bombing of Hiroshima/Nagasaki
***Evil face

"Buy more victory bonds!"*
Another kind of monster!**
"I'll still take your native land!"***

Scott is practically growling and headbangs during "they say". He then waves his finger while he sings "that's not true, you know!"

*EVERYTHING written in black on a white background
**A red X through EVERYTHING

They say they do everything for you*
But that's not true, you know!**

Scott growls, headbangs, and waves his finger just like he did previously.

*MORE written in black on a white background
**A red X through MORE

They say they'll do more for you*
But that's a lie, you know!**

Scott quickly puts back his microphone on the microphone stand. He headbangs during "they say" again, but instead of waving his finger, he making quotation marks with his hands during "free".

*"FREE" written in black on a white background
**"FREE" written in black on a white background
***"FREE" written in black on a white background

They say you will always be "free"*
"Free"**
"Free"***

Michael plays a guitar solo while Nail and Soner play their instruments very quietly. Michael starts shredding and the rhythm section (Nail and Soner) play very rapidly as well. Scott picks up his microphone again, then growls the last verses and gives both Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan the middle finger.

*Nanking Massacre
**Nazi children
***Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
****Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

Another kind of monster!*
Another kind of monster!**
Another kind of monster!***
Another kind of monster!****

Scott sings the last verse to the band, as if saying "come on, let's end with a blast", and they do.
*Nutopian flag on a flagpole in the distance, gradually growing and zooming in at the end of the song to the rhythm of the guitar.

Come on, break it down!*

At the end of the song, the screen is completely white. The audience cheers and applauds. Scott forms the peace sign with two of his fingers and before they leave the stage, he shouts without a microphone, "Thank you!" (though it sounds more like thank yop). It's obvious he lost his voice, since it's very raspy. He puts back the microphone and The Punksters exit the stage.

IZMEDU
Senka - Salvation

Senka was a synthpop artist whose heyday was in the mid-2000s, a prototype of the modern synthpop revival that would gain prominence in modern Izmeduan music around the mid-2010s. Her claim to fame was the self-titled album, Senka, which was extremely famous for its synthpop and tinny production in the normally melodic soft pop that was widely popular within the music scene back then. The fame was instant, sudden, and was much larger than she had ever expected for someone who was regularly gigging to small from mid-range clubs prior to her breakout success. It had consumed her entire being, causing Senka to antagonize the entire music industry as well as suffering through a myriad of anxiety attacks and bouts of self-doubt. Senka postponed her music career indefinitely after her success, disappearing from public view for numerous years and refusing to be interviewed by any media.

In the years since then, Senka has tried to live comfortably but did dabble in music. Senka's once large but fleeting clout in the music industry had largely faded, and she has found herself in the lower rungs of fame. With the remaining fortunes from her peak, Senka decided to invest in her own recording studio and equipment, intending to self-record and release her music via independently, disavowing popular record labels. She had began to produce songs that deviated from the colder production from her debut work, but one particular song had came out of nowhere, its inspiration only being born after she had a chance meeting with a novelist just as she began to get into music-making.

The novelist, who had disguised his name as Sandro during her meetings with him, was a fairly well-known but small-time writer who had written under the pseudonym of J. Ranogajec whose works were primarily dramatic and focused on the concept of human drama amongst either the supernatural or the futuristic. Senka had been asked if she could compose one track for an unreleased novel that Sandro had written. She declined the request, despite the temptation of saying yes, and qualified by saying that she may reconsider her decision. The reason she added that last part was Senka was particularly affected by the scene of the unreleased novel that Sandro was asking to write her to. She did not want to recount exactly what those events were, but she found near-exact parallels to her emotions and her life.

Senka had not heard of that novelist ever since their meeting, but had the ideas floating in her head for a considerable amount of time. A year after the meeting, after numerous of failed and unsatisfactory demos, Senka had succumbed to the perpetual muse and started composing and writing. What she had produced was something she never thought she could ever write, much less even think of. It was a far cry from her earlier work, more emotional, tortured, and personal. After she put the song's production to rest, Senka tried contacting the former novelist, but had no success. Despite sustained requests, it seemed as if Sandro had disappeared, his works forever lost.

Since then, Senka has kept the song's existence under wraps, until she had seen a call for artists for the World Hit Festival 19 forwarded to her by a former co-producer. Senka was hesitant about participating, with only 4 further songs she produced that barely met her standards, only enough for an extended play, she had nothing to promote. It had been years since she was on a stage, much less anything related to mainstream Izmeduan music. She had kept wind of the sudden rise of popularity for Synthpop, which Senka deduced is why she got the e-mail. However, she had nothing to lose, and thus submitted the song for consideration. Now, Senka was on stage in Kasin, a nervous feeling inside her as it had been over a decade since she performed under a camera's gaze. She walked to the stage, taking a deep breath...

The stage was in total darkness as Senka stood in at stage's center, a spotlight shining on her as the music started. She was wearing this clothing ensemble. Her head was down during the intro, with the camera fading into a close up of her as it ended. Senka looked up, a melancholy expression visible on her face as she began to sing...

Save me from this life
Set me free from these chains
Absolve me from cruel suffering
Don't leave me here, here...
Remind me that I'm worthy
Comfort my broken self
Convince me that I deserve
Just one small glint of mercy, mercy...

Senka looked directly into the camera as it remained a close-up view on her throughout the first verse. The song's production remained calm as she, in occasion, turned away from the camera a few times, which would be how the first verse was ended.

All that my heart desires, is salvation from despair
A respite from endless woe
So I can lay my soul to peaceful rest

The camera began to encircle her for the chorus, which she followed and looked at for the entirety. The slow circling stopped as Senka faced the audience, a pleading look on her face as the camera began to zoom out to the instrumental interlude, emphasizing that Senka was the only visible figure on the large stage.

Erase all the pain
Purge it from memory
Wash all my troubles away
Let me cry it out, out...
Keep us together
Your presence gives me hope
A reason to exist and hold on
That is all I ever need, need...

Senka began to walk forward slightly during the second verse, ignoring the camera as it followed her. She cupped her face momentarily during the verse's fourth line, looking up to the spotlight and seeming to sing to the ceiling for the verse's second half, transforming into a glance down to the stage's currently dark floor at the end of the verse, anguish in her expression.

All that my heart desires, is salvation from despair
A respite from endless woe
So I can lay my soul to peaceful rest

A haunted look was in her face as the chorus began, a greater intensity to the production from the previous reprise. She looked into the camera, following it as began to make another round through the circular stage, reaching out to it at the end of the third line...

I can only pray you're here
Guiding me from this darkness
And into light's paradise
But I must stand alone against fate...

For this chorus, the camera faded to a side view of Senka as she sang and zooming out as she did so, making her figure look smaller despite the desperation and melancholy growing in her voice. At the last line, the spotlight on Senka faded as the song quieted down, seeming to signal the end. There was a few seconds of absolute silence, with some debating whether or not to start applauding.

A few tentative claps began, but the song roared back to life to its musical breakdown with a spotlight on Senka, which had her walking on the part of the stage that jutted out towards the audience. On the stage, each individual stage panel was alternating between one that was lit up in white, and another that remained dark. The one that Senka was in had remained dark. The stage was slightly brighter than before, revealing the outlines of the stage's unique design, as well as a faint spotlight on the two backup singers.

The camera focused itself on Senka, as she looked on towards the audience.

Save me from this life
Set me free from these chains
Absolve me from cruel suffering
Don't leave me here, here...
Remind me that I'm worthy
Comfort my broken self
Convince me that I deserve
Just one small glint of mercy, mercy...

The delivery of the first verse's reprise differed from before, an exhaustion evident in Senka's expression and posture as she seemed to be losing hope in the words she is singing. The camera circled around her face, with her only directly acknowledging it as soon as it made one complete rotation and stopped at the end of the verse.

The song's breakdown continued as it entered another interlude, beginning with the backup singers, singing at a lower volume the first three words of the first verse, and then repeating it soon after. Senka made movements alongside to the song, though anguish was clearly evident in her voice. The production had also introduced a horn section, one in which Senka truly let herself go and began to groove to the music, though she was careful not to overstep on where she was on the stage. She looked onto the camera, an expression that was more desperate than before on her face.

All that my heart desires, is salvation from despair
A respite from endless woe
So I can lay my soul to peaceful rest

Senka looked directly to the camera, which was at a close-up view of her, at the chorus' final reprise, her delivery as dramatic as it gets and her expression pleading. She looked almost on the verge of an emotional breakdown as she momentarily raised one up to guard her face at certain points.

I can only pray you're here
Guiding me from this darkness
And into light's paradise
But I must stand alone against fate...

She reached a hand out for the camera at the final set of lines, as she pushed her vocals to the song's limits without going overboard. At the final line, she brought one hand into her face as she looked away from the camera. With her vocal over, the camera had faded into a stage-wide view, with Senka standing alone on the stage's runway, the alternating lights on the stage screens fading as the spotlights on the backup singers began to fade as they parted the song with muffled vocals.

The breakdown continued on, with the camera beginning to focus on a side view of Senka as she looked on to the audience, a hollow look in her eyes. The camera began to zoom in to her, stopping as one got a side view from the neck and up. That melancholic look would be the last visible shot of her that the audience at home and on the venue would get. The song ended almost abruptly, with the spotlight on Senka instantly turned off at the song's end.

Applause was slightly hesitant at first for fear of the instrumental trick pulled off earlier until the normal stage lights came back on. The audience cheered quite loudly, louder than Senka expected.

“Thank you...” She mouthed, unable to contain her shock as she walked backstage, a surreal feeling overcoming her.

Kill Me
Lisa Noble
Cheryl Cole- Parachute

LISA NOBLE: She gets ready to sing for the World Hit Festival after win off X Factor Britonisea.

The stage dimmed. You couldn't even see the stage as all lights were off, except from the crowd putting out their phones to take pictures and to see what was happening. We did ask them to turn off their phones, however, if more than one people do it, I guess you can't be punished. Suddenly, there was a flicker of light and out came Lisa Noble. She was wearing a quite tight red dress and she was wearing quite high-heeled shoes, of which were red coloured. The problem was that you could only see her feet and a shadow. The crowd started to applause loudly, then 2 lights went on, both were men, topless, with a big drum in there hands. They were both in a pool of water, and they were leaning down.

Right,

To television viewers at home, after she said "Right" the colour of the red shoes turned black and white, as her face appeared from the light. It was a black and white theme for those at home, but for the people who were in the arena, they saw her face, not showing her body just yet.

Slyness is not the best way to get out,
Lying will cause serious doubt and
Crying, won't help,
You're transparent.
You're plan could fool others, but this one knows what you're all about.

A man, who was dressed like one of the drummers, came out and started dancing with Lisa. Lisa was wearing the microphone so both her hands were free. They started to do a lot of different types of dancing. Sometimes she would speak directly to the audience while he continued to dance, or they would both dance together, whilst she was singing. It was more of a slow, romantic dance. This meant that you could still see her face and now her dress. There was still dim light coming from the stage.

Feel my desperation seeping quickly out,
You are not courageous, I'll turn down the next route
Or, you can with me, I will strip you bare.
I will be your saddle and you can be the king
.

The light quickly changed to a red colour. There was one camera right in front of her, and she sang in to that camera. She has 100% eye contact with the camera, in the back, the man was still dancing, and the drummers were still there drumming along to the song.

Stab me in my crown of jewels,
If you heart to, if you want to, stab in my crown of jewels,
You can't kill me, you can't me do it at all.
Kill me, baby,
You know it is the finish line,
You committed a mass crime,
Sorry to say you lose, now you're the big fool.
You can't kill me, you can't restrict me at all.
Kill me, baby.

During the chorus, the lighting increase by a margin amount, but now the stage re-appeared dark again, but with five strobe lights facing towards someone in the public. Then two other men came on to the stage, and in sync, they danced a long with the first men and the drummers, the drummers stopped drumming and came out of their pool. There were five men behind Lisa Noble all dancing to the same rhythm and dancing the same routine.

Look at your face, oh dear I must done something bad, but
Look at my face, my it's quite opposite of sad, and
I can't wait till your gone, I can't look at you,
Sorry that I have failed you, but you failed me too.

The camera now does a shot across the stage, the camera was on the move, and her hand followed the camera, before turning back on to the centre. The dynamics of the song was slowly increasing, and so was the amount of light. The lights were now flashing, just as two of them exited the stage, she began to sing the next chorus.

No. Stab me in the crown of jewels,
If you heart to, if you want to, stab in my crown of jewels,
You can't kill me, you can't me stab me at all.
Kill me, baby,
You know it is the finish line,
You committed a mass crime,
Sorry to say you lose, now you're the big fool.
You can't kill me, you can't restrict me at all.
Kill me, baby.

The camera then showed the audience, to see the reactions to whether they were enjoying the song, you could obviously hear the applause from the people of Kalosia. She then smiled because she knew this bit was going to be a hard section of the sings, and it looked like she was already too in to the song. She didn't have any time to think, because the bridge was about to approach, and so she started to sing it.

You won't be here for long, I'll make sure of it.
You won't be here for long, I did ruin it.
You won't be here for long, go drown in it.
You won't be here for long, drown in your blatant guilt.

She looked quite successful that she finished that in one piece, however she still had to do it again. She started to sing the next part of the song.

You won't be here for long, I'll make sure of it.
You won't be here for long, I did ruin it.
You won't be here for long, go drown in it.
You won't be here for long, drown in your blatant guilt.

Finally, she thought in her head. She wanted to get this song over and done with and because she did, she bared her pain as she bit her tongue but smiled. The lights now went crazy, the lights were a red colour, the drummers still on the stage but the main man danced of the stage as she sang this last past. She had a ring in her hand and she began to sing with it.

Stab me in the crown of jewels,
If you heart to, if you want to, stab in my crown of jewels,
You can't kill me, you can't me touch at all.
Kill me, baby,
You know it is the finish line,
You committed a mass crime,
Sorry to say you lose, now you're the big fool.
You can't kill me, you can't restrict me at all.
Kill me, baby.

The camera shot finished with her in the middle of the two drummers. One was pulling on her left arm, and the other pulling on her right, her head was down and she facing left. They were in that tableau for about five seconds before the crowd shouted for the Aloquirbic delegation, the drummers went off stage first before Lisa said, "Thank-you Kalosia, Thanks to World Hit Festival 19!" She then threw the ring in to the public. She was very ecstatic, and she exited the stage, she then went backstage where her father was. A hugged him. Her mother was in the audience with the rest of Lisa's family.

Work in Progress

I see you watching me, from the trees.
The way you look at me, magnifique
I see the stars in your eyes, I love the way,
How you catch me by surprise.

I really like, really like,
The way how you move.
I know, deep down,
You think the same.

Oh, I know how you feel, I feel the same way,
How you deal with thrill, I don't know what say,
A chill runs down my spine, it's kills so bad
But on the other side, you'll be mine.

I don't know why you're hiding, I am not so bad.
I don't think you noticed I noticed, it made me mad.

I really like, really like,
The way how you move.
I know, deep down,
You think the same.

Even when I am at work, you watch me.
From the green car in the street, it is unique.
Please answer me, nothing to say? Hey!
Why don't you come to me, I'll jog your memory.

I can feel your strength inside, it was a good find.
I know your secret weapon, I'll keep it secret.
I really,
Love how,
you move,
on me.

I really like, Really like,
The way how you move.
I know, deep down,
You think the same.

The way you move, The way you move,
The way you move, oh yes!
The way you move, The way move
The way you move, which I love.

The way you move, The way you move,
The way you move, oh yes!
The way you move, The way move
The way you move, which I love.

The End, My Man
Verona DeLee
It's My Time- Jade Ewen

She is wearing a white dress, it is quite long, but it just about covers her ankles. She is wearing nice white shoes with pearls on them. She is found backstage sitting on a bench. She looks down as she holds the microphone is her hand. The music begins as she looks up at the camera.

I look out, for my man.
But I can't reach him.
I try again, but don't succeed.
I feel lonely, until,

She then get's up from the bench as she approaches the the stage, which is about to come to her. As she starts the chorus, she is welcomed to the stage with a welcoming audience, on the stage is a man in a suit with a black tie. He is playing the piano which is on the far right of the screen. The man looked in his 20s, and he was singing the backing to the song. Next to the man, was a woman violin. They were both next to each other, and appeared to be staring at the young singer walking out on to the stage.

My people, my friends.
My neighbours, I know that they all love me.
I don't need anyone, else in my life.
'Coz if I have them, i'll have them 'till the end.
And I won't worry about the perfect him.

The camera was right in front of her, the audience were screaming because now the second verse was about to begin, a sudden drop in the song, yet there is definitely a climb to the song. She then walked towards the man and the women whom are still both sitting down at the piano. She had a silver microphone on her, which matched the colour of her dress well. You could also notice that she had a ring on. Before she sand the verse, she flicked back her her and sat on the piano.

But if I do, find my man.
His personality will shine through.
I'll love his voice, for ever more.
And he will sing me my love hymns.

She started to sing to the woman and the man sitting on the seat behind the piano, and the piano player looked very intrigued in what she was singing about. The woman violinist bowing to her music. She took a deep breath before hopping down from the piano and walking centre stage, alongside the woman.

My people, my friends.
My carers, I know that they all love me.
I don't need anyone, else in my life.
'Coz if I have them, i'll have them 'till the end.
And I won't worry about the perfect him.

She knew this bit was going to be her hardest bit because she had to really belt this part. This music seemed to go quicker, but the lighting went lighter.

Coz if I have them, i'll have them 'till the end.
The End, My man.

A Spark came from the top of the stage before it was a raining firework display was shown from the centre back of the stage. The same colour of her dress white,. There was a shining star of where the sparklers were coming from. The camera did an extended shot of the whole stage. She took her last deep breath.

My people, my friends!
My neighbours, I know that they all love me.
I don't need anyone, else in my life.
'Coz if I have them, i'll have them 'till the end.
And I won't worry about the perfect him.

After he long note at "Him" the lighting automatically went darker, the camera shot was of her face now. There was a spot light on her. The violinist nor the piano man was playing, she sang the last part to her song a capella.

Everyone loves me until the End.

Everyone cheered for her as she bowed. "Thank-you Kalosia! Thank you World Hit Festival!" She said hugging the violinist and the piano man who walked towards her.

05. Bloodbath Generation
Revolution- Sajé & Georgianna Harris
to the tune of Rachel Platten- Fight Song

The two young female singers were internally selected by BGBC. One was an established popstar who lost the selection for the nations Worldvision entry; the other was a 14-year old with an equally powerful voice. After a title change, the two were ready to take on the world in Kalosia, a nation many Bloodbathians reside and/or work in. It was the closest thing they could get to a home crowd, and they were fan favorites.

Sajé began the song. She was wearing a stunning dress that went from dusk blue to a snowy white. The stage was completely dark, with a sole spotlight shining on her as she stood still, microphone stand in the middle of the huge stage.

I've been torn down
and I've suffered
My voice was hidden
under covers
Close but not close enough
I just want this all over
I don't want nothing
nothing but closure

I've got demons, I've got pain
But I've risen up, I've overcame
Now it's me against the world
Screaming out, today we start

The camera zoomed out, and the lights swooped up to bring the stage to life. Sajé had her fist in the air, like on the national flag, and the stage bursted into a shimmering gold color.

A revolution
A revolution
My revolution

I'm gonna stand tall
can't take me down, no I won't fall
my revolution starts
from the first breath I take I'll fight to the end
you'll see
the revolution starting inside of me

Gerogianna now was seen on screen; she was on the far left of the stage, with a spotlight bringing her into focus. The stage was now a light blue and white. She was wearing a casual dark blue dress, a contrast to Sajé's high-fashion.

Now you're standing here, middle of the night
telling me everything will be alright
Not enough,
no it's not enough

Battle scars and broken hopes
drink in your cup, and you smell of smoke
This love is lost,
yeah this love is lost

Sajé now walked towards Georgianna to meet her at the left end of the stage, at the base of the runway.

I've got demons, I've got pain
I've risen up, I've overcame
Now it's me against the world
Screaming out, today I start

During that final line, they both twirl around at the same time, and, with the camera zoomed into a shot of them chest-up, almost all of the audience seen in the shot put their fists in the air at the start of the chorus, in time with the pyro. They start walking down the runway triumphantly, keeping their fists in the air. Some of the audience, mostly those immediately next to the runway, keep them up as well. It creates a powerful image on the viewers screens at home; a sea of empowered men and women across the arena.

A revolution
A revolution
My revolution

I'm gonna stand tall
can't take me down, no I won't fall
my revolution starts
from the first breath I take I'll fight to the end
you'll see
the revolution starting inside of me
starting inside of me

The violins just begin their part when the piano cuts them off, ushering in the bridge. Georgianna and Saje are now standing backs against each other (Saje is 5'10, Georgianna is 5'1). The camera circles around them in a tight closeup as they both emotionally sing into the camera.

I've been torn down
and I've suffered
My voice was hidden
under covers
Close but not close enough
I just want this all over
I don't want nothing
nothing but closure

For the first 3 lines of the chorus, Geogianna and Saje alternate between singing and encouraging the audience to stomp and clap along to the drums. As a result, the arena is filled with a thunderous stomping. After those lines, golden confetti rains down onto the stage, and golden showers on the screens and on the stage floor itself, making for a victorious ending. The two women are at the end of the runway, basking in the moment as they finish the song.

A revolution
A revolution
My revolution

I'm gonna stand tall
can't take me down, no I won't fall
my revolution starts
from the first breath I take I'll fight to the end
you'll see
the revolution starting inside of me

Chámelíyá
Stains - Nání
Ghost - Ella Henderson

The stakes have never been higher despite it only being the fourth time Chámelíyá have participated in the World Hit Festival. After two consecutive victories, the commisioners at CháReTe were at a loss for what to select; another pop number in a similar vein to the previous two or something more risky and less mainstream. Happily, however, this question became irrelevant following the release of Stains by the established Nehá-based artist, Nání, which topped Chámelíyálí charts for weeks. With her partly autobiographical hit tackling the themes of abusive relationships and new starts, CháReTe hopes for another good result.
Nání stands near the centre of the stage, a couple of steps towards the front, in a glittering silver dress with her ebony hair loosely curled. Behind her, to the right, three backup singers in simple black dresses stand in a row holding their microphone stands in their left hands. The lights glow a moody blue and a single spotlight shines on Nání. A sudden drum beat vibrates around the auditorium.

I know it’s better now you've gone away
But I can’t, cannot remove all of these stains
That you left on my heart, forever they will stay
And remind me of your face every single day

Behind Nání, the backdrop fades on. Each segment of the backdrop shows Nání from different angles like a cracked mirror - in each, she is naked from the shoulders up. In some she is sobbing, head bowed, whilst in others her head whips from side to side as though slapped by an invisible hand.. The cameras close on on Nání, the backdrop visible behind her.

When I look into the past
I see that those days were dark
Waiting for you to come back
And then bracing for your attack

Nání turns with the camera as it pans around her, looking into it with determination. On the screens behind her, the images of herself have stopped in their motion and look deeply into the camera out into the audience.

Until the day I realised
That there could be more to life
And now I'm not by your side
I am holding my head up high

The stage lights around the edge of the stage begin to soften, as gentle orange spotlights illuminate her. Nání wides her stance slightly, allowing herself to move her body gently in time to the music with confidence. On the screens, the images of Nina move into a posture of defiance, their heads held high, one shoulder held forwards slightly.

I ain't going back; I've more self-respect than that
I'm not a toy; I'm the best woman you had
So put your pride aside; ain't gonna gratify

The cameras pull away from Nání, capturing the backing dancers beginning to sing. Gripping their microphone stands with their left hands, they step side to side, clicking their right-hand fingers in time to the beat. A few segments of the backdrop fade to show Nání running down a deserted city centre street at the dead of night in a floaty white dress.

I know it’s better now you've gone away
But I can’t, cannot remove all of these stains
That you left on my heart, forever they will stay
And remind me of your face every single day

Shots are cut between an aerial camera circling the stage capturing the sight of Nání singing in front of the gargantuan screen and cameras from within the auditorium capturing Nání amongst the sea of waving flags and banners.

I know that your love means more hurt and pain
But my heart’s beating fast, I'm going insane
So I try to resist and I try to refrain
But I can’t, I think I'm falling for you again

The lights fade away once more as the stage returns to its moody blue. The camera cuts back to close up of Nání on stage. On the backdrop, Nání's tired face appears in the cracked mirror, make-up run and hair bedraggled.

I know that those days were rough
And I'm now so much better off
‘Cos I’d just about had enough
Of your cold unrelenting ‘love’

Suddenly, behind Nání, in some of the segments, a man, visibly angry, appears to the distress and panic of Nání. On stage, Nání begins to settle into the rhythm and sings with new passion and energy, giving the words a little flourish.

I know you’re bad for me
But you are all I see
Will you never leave;
Loosen your grip on me?

The lights build up again as more segments on the backdrop fade to show Nání running down the street lamp lit street again. The infectious beat stirs the audience to join in as it sways in time as Nina struts towards the front of the stage.

I know it’s better now you've gone away
But I can’t, cannot remove all of these stains
That you left on my heart, forever they will stay
And remind me of your face every single day

Enjoying every moment, Nání concedes a smile to the camera as she gestures to the audience to continue clapping before returning back towards the centre of the stage.

I know that your love means more hurt and pain
But my heart’s beating fast, I'm going insane
So I try to resist and I try to refrain
But I can’t, I think I'm falling for you again

The lights fizzled out leaving a single spotlight to shine on a kneeling Nání. Behind her, the backdrop fades to show Polaroid photographs of Nání and her lover tumbling slow motion into flames.

You left these stains
You left these stains
You left these stains
I cannot wash away

The camera pans into Nání's face, her eyes looking passively back into them. She claps her microphone in two hands as though she is at prayer.

Love, hurt and pain
Love, hurt and pain
Love, hurt and pain
Falling for you again

The camera begins to pan out one last time as Nání slowly stands up again.

Your hold’s, got me going insane

The cameras cut to an aerial shot capturing the crack of fireworks released from the perimeter of the stage around Nání and the backing dancers. The lights shine brilliantly, illuminating the whole arena. The cracks in the backdrop have healed as a single, large shot of Nání running down the street is displayed, her eyes running with joy and relief.

I know it’s better now you've gone away
But I can’t, cannot remove all of these stains
That you left on my heart, forever they will stay
And remind me of your face every single day

Delicate white confetti is released, fluttering gently onto Nina, the stage and the audience. Nání stands at the front of the stage smiling wildly to the audience. Savouring the moment, she moves sassily to the beat, freestyling a little and digging in deep for the last chorus.

I know that your love means more hurt and pain
But my heart’s beating fast, I'm going insane
So I try to resist and I try to refrain
But I can’t, I think I'm falling for you again

Nání is almost in tears as she reaches the song's anthemic climax. The crowd roars in approval as she squeaks quietly into the microphone, "Dhanyabad Kasin, Dhanyabad Kalosia!", secretly hoping that she has given the finale they wanted.

Gadis Manis is a Fromulyan dangdut singer. Dangdut is a traditional genre of music that is equivalent to ethnopop in Fromulya and is popular in rural areas and among people of lower socioeconomic classes, however is made fun of and often frowned upon among the higher class citizens. Despite that, there wasn't that many negative reactions.

The song, Kenapa?, was originally to be sent for the 17th World Hit Festival in Cherbourg, Normandy & Picardy, but Fromulya ended up not participating for unspecified reasons. While there currently isn't much hype about the Festival back home, foreign WHF fans have speculated that the lyrics are about an abusive relationship. No one has asked this to the Fromulyan delegation so it isn't known whether this is true.

Gadis Manis was wearing a regular dress with traditional batik motifs on it, and was backed by a band playing traditional Fromulyan instruments associated with the genre. There wasn't much of a performance, just her singing while the band plays, and rural scenery in the background screen.

note: This song is in Fromulyan Indonesian. Pronunciation mostly follows regular Indonesian phonology, but an unaccented e is a schwa and the accented é is the other "e" spoken in the language.

La… lalalala… lalalala… lalalala

Kenapa, kenapa, kenapa?
Gué serba salah, kenapa?
Tidak boléh marah, tapi disakiti
Apa sih maunya dia?
Kapankah, kapankah, kapankah?
Kapan gué dapet bernafas?

Kesana kemari ‘tuk puasin dia
Namun yang kudapet enggak apa-apa
Sayang… gué gak ngerti sama lo lagi

Gué curhat sama temen-temen semua
Tetapi mereka bilang enggak tahu
Harus diapain cinta kita ini?

Membuat gué frustasi dibuatnya

Kenapa, kenapa, kenapa?
Gué serba salah, kenapa?

Kesana kemari ‘tuk puasin dia
Namun yang kudapet enggak apa-apa
Sayang… gué gak ngerti sama lo lagi

Gué curhat sama temen-temen semua
Tetapi mereka bilang enggak tahu
Harus diapain cinta kita ini?

Membuat gué frustasi dibuatnya

Kenapa, kenapa, kenapa?
Gué serba salah, kenapa?
Tidak boléh marah, tapi disakiti
Apa sih maunya dia?
Kapankah, kapankah, kapankah?
Kapan gué dapet bernafas?

Why, why, why?
I'm always wronged, why?
Can't be mad, but still being hurt
What does he want?
When, when, when?
When I can breathe?

Going everywhere to please him
But I don't get anything in return
Dear... I don't understand you anymore

I told all my friends
But they say they don't know
What should I do with this love?

This makes me frustrated

The rest of the song is a repetition of these lyrics

15 - TALVEZOUT
MODERN TEARS - ClOSURE

Song is set to Arcade Fire's Intervention.

The group is standing in the middle of the stage. Various "tears" made of neon tubing stand around the group. They all flicker on to the sound of the organ.

The senses have been overthrown
The body is left alone
When you say you're never alone
I know the lies you've sown

There's no place to hide
I can still feel the tears you've cried
I can see the pain in your mind
Despite the years gone by

The lead singer in all of this, Tyler Rivera, starts walking away from the rest of the group; the camera is moving around him, but he is still following it.

I just want to see you alive
Just breathing and living your life
And I know no matter what you say
There's still that one day

I can still see the life even when you die
All the love you've earned and it's hidden inside
Every spark of friendship and love will have their home
I can hear you moan "I never want to be alone"

The rest of the group has followed Tyler to his spot; they're all standing together, singing.

I can sense your fear
Bottled up in those tiny tears
You just wanna live, wanna die
Just make the pain dead for awhile

When this verse starts, the neon lights, which were previous in a dull glow, glow even brighter now; stagehands grab a hold of them and start moving them closer to the group.

But, who will cast the very first stone
Who wants to build you the throne
Just something to give a sling
Just something to help you sing
I can still see the life even when you die
All the trust you've redeemed it's all hidden inside
Every spark of friendship and love will have their home
I can hear you moan "I never want to be alone"

I can sense your fear
Bottled up in those tiny tears
You just wanna live, wanna die
Just make the pain dead for awhile

The group is now effectively surrounded by the neons; they start powering down after this verse.

The world may not find you now
But were gonna find our way somehow
And if you ever disappear
We'll sure as hell get you here

I can see the life that you wanna scorn
With you singing hallelujah ever forlorn
Every spark of friendship and love will have their home
I can hear you moan "I never want to be alone"
I can hear you moan "I never want to be alone"

16 - ESTA LLOVIENDO
ISOBELLA BACHELOR - ESCUCHAR
Song is to the tune of Björk's Hyperballad (Brodsky String Quartet Remix)

Isobella is standing onstage, surrounded by a string quartet. Unlike her previous songs, she just wanted the performance to focus on the songs theme of environmentalism. Several candelabras stood around the group, burning brightly.

Listen to the mountain
Listen to the sounds
Of the nature
From this mountain

Just listen to the sounds
To the world
All the cries, the songs, the murmurs
All the little things lying around
It's the most beautiful habit
Just my way to start my day

Just listen
To all the sounds
To all the pains
Just everything here with you

Just listen
To all the sounds
To all the pains
Just everything here with you

It's early morning
And yet no one is awake
To hear the symphony
Of all the little things
I just want to listen to the sounds
That her beauty makes
Of all mother nature's beautiful things
Just imagine what the world would be like
If we listened to the pain
Will there be wars?
Will there be hell?

Just listen
To all the sounds
To all the pains
Just everything here with you

Just listen
To all the sounds
To all the pains
Just everything here with you

Just listen
To all the sounds
To all the pains
Just everything here with you

All the pains
All the sounds
All the pains

22 - Praciba
þweenageя - 12th Hell

Language(s): Pracib, English (speech only)

As it becomes Praciba's time to perform, all lights are dimmed. Due to these dimmed lights, no one was able to make up what was happening on the stage except for the technicians and mechanics that were sent, among others, with the performers. Wearing night-vision goggles, they placed the required props for the performance and carried the performers to their places. While the performer was more than capable of moving himself, it was deemed safer for him to get carried to their place, as something would probably be knocked over or the artist could get seriously hurt in the dark. What many people didn't know was that these technicians and mechanics were often chosen from the best strongmen of Praciba, with popular strongmen such as Barþy 'Man Crusher' Kóngresson and þieðerick 'Femboy' Choulß often receiving a quick course on how to install the specialized Pracib equipment, seeing as regular technicians and mechanics lacked the power and raw strength to lift the equipment and the artists.

When the lights were turned back on, eighteen two-legged air dancers and þweenageя could be seen on stage. The air dancers, placed in pairings of three, were located on the non-LED parts of the stage, evenly spread out to allow þweenageя to move around them with ease. These particular ones had been made with a double skin, allowing engineers to remotely remove the first skin to reveal a second, while small burners between the legs of the air dancers would allow the skin to catch on fire and provide bigger flames, ones that could otherwise only be reached by extremely visible pyrotechnic installations. Featuring different skins, six were devils, six were angels and six featured a diagonal-yet-even split of a devil and an angel.

þweenageя, the artist that would give this song it's meaning and voice, wore a form-fitting gold-colored catsuit that accentuated his slim, attractive body that featured intertwining male-and-female shapes. His shoes, featuring a similar golden color as the catsuit, had been lengthened at the sole, allowing þweenageя to become even longer, reaching a whopping two-and-a-half meters. While this meant that the shoes were rather impossible to walk in for anyone that didn't have extensive training, þweenageя had arranged for the finest training possible with the leftover PR TV funding for costumes.

As the music starts, the air dancers, whom were deflated, and þweenageя, who was huddled up around his boots, began their rise. The LED screens on stage begin projecting bright, hellish purple glitter flames. While background singing was heard, no one was seen singing it.

Akk hastur-uuuur

AsÞð ös eggis menðis yanssss

Both the air dancers and þweenageя are now fully risen. While þweenageя walks towards the furthest part of the podium, doing a faux hide-and-seek game with the crowd behind the air dancers, the background singers are seen slowly lowered from the top of the venue, all dressed as mermaids with working, mechanical, wings.

Egis flor æniba ös æn Werenlsþ yans
Egis flor æniba ös æn Werenlsþ akk hastur
Egis flor æniba ös æn Werenlsþ yans
Egis flor æniba ös æn Werenlsþ werenlsþ yans

Coming to the first laughter part of the song, þweenageя finds himself at the furthest point of the stage. Squatting a bit, giving a 180 degree smile to the crowd with his hands, þweenageя suddenly reaches up to the sky and starts the maniacally laughter, further revealing that he has an abnormally long tongue.

Hahahahahahahahaha haaaaa
Prlprlprlprlprlprl hahaha
Hahahahahahahahaha haaaaa
Prlprlprlprlprlprl hahaha
Hahahahahahahahaha haaaaa
Prlprlprlprlprlprl hahaha
Hahahahahahahahaha haaaaa
Prlprlprlprlprlprl hahaha

Coming down from his laughter, þweenageя and his background singers, still hanging and floating around above the stage, turn into a religious-like chanting. Swirling around with his body, the air dancers followed his movements. The flames on the LED screens turn from purple to green.

Merous Waralsþ Merous Merous Waralsþ
Wowowowowow
Merous Waralsþ Merous Merous Waralsþ

Merous Waralsþ Merous Merous Waralsþ
Wowowowowow
Merous Waralsþ Merous Merous Waralsþ

The chanting stops and the background singers float towards the crowd, revealing to have glitter reservoirs under their wings, which were now sprinkling glitter down. þweenageя begins dancing, for as far as possible with his boots, and his voice turns from chanting to quite happy.

Egis flor æniba ös æn Werenlsþ
Franaþ xul ibaug
Egis flor æniba ös æn Werenlsþ
AsÞuß þor Waralsþ
Egis flor æniba ös æn Werenlsþ werenlsþ yans
Egi ös eg
Egis flor æniba ös æn Werenlsþ

This time, the laughter isn't maniacally but rather as if you told a good joke or the one laughing was quite happy. The flying mermaids had finished releasing their glitter over the crowd, ensuring that a significant portion had some glitter on them. Moving into a circle formation, they join hands and start circling back towards the stage, rotating faster and faster as they near the stage. The flames turn from green to baby blue.

Hahahahahahahahaha haaaaa
Prlprlprlprlprlprl hahaha
Hahahahahahahahaha haaaaa
Prlprlprlprlprlprl hahaha
Hahahahahahahahaha haaaaa
Prlprlprlprlprlprl hahaha
Hahahahahahahahaha haaaaa
Prlprlprlprlprlprl hahaha

Continuing his dancing, þweenageя snaps his fingers and the background singers each move to a different air dancer.

Merous Waralsþ Merous Merous Waralsþ

Merous Waralsþ Merous Merous Waralsþ alsþ alsþ alsþ alsþ alsþ

Reaching the air dancers, the flying mermaids pretend to pull them loose while the engineers, behind the screens, let the first skin go and as it falls, the resulting fire from the first skin and the burners reaches high enough to make the mechanical wings of the flying mermaids catch fire. While those that had a slow-motion camera could see that it was a trick, those that didn't couldn't and for those, it looked even more wondrous when a pair of devil wings came to sight underneath. The second skin of the air dancers is shown to be an air dancer version of the singer, þweenageя. Thanks to a fire-resistant material being used in the production, the second skin would not catch on fire.

þweenageя meanwhile turns to a speech/rap section of the song, a recorded version of his voice taking over the normal song lyrics.

Merous Waralsþ Merous Merous Waralsþ The devil knows you, knows you well, do you think that's swell? Blessed is Hell
Wowowowowow Joining All-Being is too late for his feeling, you are a goner
Merous Waralsþ The 12th hell to come, you are his fun

Merous Feel the heat, feel it burn

Giving another snap of his fingers, the flying mermaids go towards the following one-third of the air dancers. Waiting for the following speech section of the song to start, the flying mermaid devils pull on them after a sentence or two. This time, the flames ensure that the tops of the mermaids go in flames, revealing a body-painted bra to be underneath.

Do you know the devil
He operates in hell
Do you know the devil
He knows you well

Do you know the devil
He operates in hell
Do you know the devil
He knows you well

Taking over the normal lyrics of his song, þweenageя turns from speech/rap to chanting for the next part of the song. Keeping up his dancing, which was pretty consistent throughout the song, he mixed in a bit of the swaying that was used in the previous chanting.

Merous Waralsþ Merous Merous Waralsþ

Werenlsþ yans Merous Waralsþ Merous Merous Waralsþ

þweenageя keeps up with his normal singing, the speech/rap part done by a recording, although his dancing turns back into regular dancing without the previous swaying. Towards the middle, þweenageя gives another snap of his finger and the flying mermaid devils move towards the last third of the air dancers, waiting until the end of the song to pull on them.

Merous Waralsþ Merous Merous Waralsþ The devil knows you, knows you well, do you think that's swell? Blessed is Hell
Wowowow
Yans Merous Waralsþ Merous Merous Waralsþ The 12th hell to come, you are his fun, feel the heat, get ready to plead

Merous Waralsþ Merous Merous Waralsþ

As the skins drop down, the resulting flames turn the lower mermaid half from their normal color into a black-flame mix of colors, turning them into true flying mermaid devils. The LED screen turns from flames into multiple versions of #votepraciba, each on a section of the LED screen.

After a few seconds, þweenageя snips his finger again and, this time without the help of the flying mermaid devils, the second skin drops as the lights go out, revealing masses of blue, representing Praciba's flag, smoke and a slight scent of maple syrup covered pancakes coming from said smoke.

Left Me For Dead

Pilvi

With the success of "Remain With Me", giving Tödlichebujoku its first ever bronze in an international song contest, SterGo100 opted for a new type of music for its seventh WHF entry. Singer-songwriter Pilvi stood out during the selection process for her refreshingly dark piece "Left Me For Dead", and went on to become the broadcaster's entry for WHF19. Described as "a song with a double meaning" by Pilvi, "Left Me For Dead" could refer to a metaphoric collapsed relationship or a more literal rape encounter. Either way, the song's message of betrayal has resonated with both Festival fans and charitable organizations, with the rape awareness and prevention organization Tödlichebujokun Raiskaushelpotus using it in commercials and events. Whether or not Pilvi's song does well, its message will be heard across the planes of reality.

The stage faintly glows blue for a moment, then disappears into darkness. As the music begins, the accent lights glow a deep red, revealing the silhouette of Pilvi kneeling on the floor. As she begins, soft spotlights illuminate her and a white, ruffled dress, seemingly out of place with the dark music, subject and staging
So maybe I'm not perfect
But I'm not some animal
That you can force your will on, and expect to go die

Pilvi looks up and around her, appearing almost wistful as she sings the next lines, though clearly that is not the case as the lyrics can attest
It's been so long since you first saw my body
You wrapped your searing arms around my unsuspecting frame
Covered my eyes as if I couldn't feel you
Oh...

She rises, turning in circles as she does so and looking to the ceiling
Why...
Why...
Why...

Smoke wafts from her dress as it turns black from the bottom up to the top. The skirt, instead of appearing to be made of a light airy fabric, now seems to be thick and oily. As Pilvi sings the chorus, the lights shine straight down around her and she stares into the audience
You burned my heart
And now you've left me for dead
These ashes shift into a feeling of dread
For future lies tearing deep scars in my soul

On the background screen, a black three-dimensional heart is warped and distorted in time with the music, dissolving into dust as it does so. She looks around to the audience, less piercingly than before, as she sings
I stand not dead but now no longer alive
Searching for hope but only losing myself
I'll rise once more but I'm still not over you

The spotlights fade back to the few on Pilvi, with the stage and screen back to a simple black-and-red color scheme. She looks across the stadium in a distant manner as if staring out into space, then looks back to the audience, and then down at the floor
You've fled so far away
I could try to exact revenge if I could get to you,
But I'll hold it back

She takes a breath and looks back to the audience, with a sad but optimistic expression and tone
I'll try to find the strength to grant forgiveness
My love is scorched beyond recognition, but still I think
Maybe the core could still revive
Oh...

She spins once, and her dress begins smoldering again. Smoke also begins billowing from the stage and dancers clad in black morphsuits do a fluidly convulsive motion behind her
You burned my heart
And now you've left me for dead
These ashes shift into a feeling of dread
For future lies tearing deep scars in my soul

The warping black heart fades back onto the background screen, though now light shines from cracks in its surface
I stand not dead but now no longer alive
Searching for hope but only losing myself
You've lost control but I won't pursue
But I won't pursue

Pilvi reaches out to the audience until the second pair of lines, where she retracts her arm and looks out with an expression of pity
Apologize, oh...
Maybe I will let you go free without guilt

Hold it back, oh...
Then Iet your conscience be undone, without me

As she sings the next lines, the morphsuit dancers congregate behind her and pull her back, like a mass of black tentacles
I won't reach out, oh...
For I'm too weak to traverse the abyss, alone

Can't reach out, oh...
For I'm too weak to traverse the abyss, alone

Pilvi makes a final spin, causing the dancers to fall away and her dress to be engulfed in flame. Yellow, orange and red lights sweep out over the audience
You burned my heart
And now you've left me for dead
These ashes shift into a feeling of dread
For future lies tearing deep scars in my soul

She clutches at her heart and strides forward, eyes pleading to the audience
I stand not dead but now no longer alive
Searching for hope but only losing myself
You've lost control but I won't pursue
But I won't pursue

Pilvi sinks to her knees as the lights dim except for the fiery accent lighting and the dying flames on her dress. She closes her eyes and faces the floor, her face illuminated by the faint glow of the flames

As the lights return to normal and the audience applauds, Pilvi stands back up and murmurs, "Kiitos," into the microphone, before exiting the stage.

XX Kalosia: Allal - Alja Gammël

Postby Kalosia » Mon Jul 20, 2015 2:27 am

tune: Cinta - Vina Panduwinata

Alja Gammël had previously represented Kalosia (as Mediterra) at the 8th World Hit Festival in Harrikes, Euskirribakondara. And now here she is representing the nation on home turf. While her WHF8 result could be considered one of Kalosia's worst in WHF history (17th but not last), she was confident that she could do better this time and replicate the success of Hyun (another Kalosian singer) at WorldVision (18th on first attempt, 5th on return).

Alja is wearing a black dress with a pink ribbon and performs alone on the stage. After the Kalosian postcard is shown, the home conductor Eldin Sakranova, one of the nation's most renowned orchestral musicians who has historically conducted a few Kalosian WHF entries, steps up to the conductor's podium.
The stage is dark. Eldin gestures the orchestra to begin playing. The crowd roared; home support was one of the benefits of performing in your nation. After the first few piano notes, the full orchestra kicked in and the background showed a picture of Kasin's skyline in the evening, with the camera showing the orchestra playing. And just when it was time for Alja to start singing, a spotlight shone on her and the camera showed her.

Ja ivo gardot te
E ja sano tu avi këlkosë
Disturbarë te
Alorëm ja vulo ajdo te
Sano avi soñi
E ja sano tu vuli vivë së
Sani së’s un po difisil dirë adiu

At the first line of the chorus, yellow lights kicked in.
Ma ur puvo dirë te allal
Ja kruro su te
Tu puvi rialisarë ten soñi
Sano tu rikordin me
Mentrë ja penšon di te u men soñi
Pirže sano ritornin a me

The lights went dim again with only a spotlight on Alja. Again, the camera switched to the orchestra for a bit (with a focus on the piano), and then went back to Alja as she was about to sing.
Alorëm ovëz alli?
Dirël me ten pliani avan laši
Šuaki personë i un skohi su sëtë monda
E ja vulo san ten
Komez prosperërin u sëtë monda?
Sani së’s un po difisil dirë adiu

The yellow lights illuminated the stage again. For the next part, the camera showed the stage from the point of view of the back of the orchestra, meaning both the orchestra and the stage were visible.
Ma ur puvo dirë te allal
Ja kruro su te
Tu puvi rialisarë ten soñi
Sano tu rikordin me
Mentrë ja penšon di te u men soñi

The camera went back to its regular position, i.e from the direct surroundings of the stage rather than a long shot.
Sani puvo dirë te allal
Fal së, men amurë
Dirël me kë tu puvi suvivrë
Sano tu rikordin me
Mentrë ja penšon di te u men soñi
Pirže sano ritornin a me

Then came a short instrumental break. The lights became dim again, and the orchestra was shown for a bit.
Sani së’s un po difisil dirë adiu

Then as the chorus came again, the yellow lights went back on.
Ma ur puvo dirë te allal
Ja kruro su te
Tu puvi rialisarë ten soñi
Sano tu rikordin me
Mentrë ja penšon di te u men soñi

Sani puvo dirë te allal
Fal së, men amurë
Dirël me kë tu puvi suvivrë
Sano tu rikordin me
Mentrë ja penšon di te u men soñi
Pirže sano ritornin a me

Alja held that last note. The crowd could be heard cheering, but it wasn't too loud.
Rikordin me
Mentrë ja penšon di te u men soñi
Pirže sano ritornin a me

As the song came to an end, not only did the stage lights become dim (leaving only the spotlight), but the background also faded to black.
The song finally ended and the audience went wild. "Gretsi! Gretsi Kasin, Gretsi Kalosia, Gretsi tuta!" Alja exclaimed, before leaving the stage.

I’ve been watching you
And I know you have something
It bothers you
So I want to help you
I know you have dreams
And I know you want to live them
You know it’s a bit hard to say goodbye

But now I can only tell you to go
I believe in you
You can achieve your dreams
I know you’ll remember me
While I think of you in my dreams
Because I know you’ll return to me

So where are you going?
Tell me your plans before you leave
Every person has a purpose in this world
And I want to know yours
How will you thrive in this world?
You know it’s a bit hard to say goodbye

But now I can only tell you to go
I believe in you
You can achieve your dreams
I know you’ll remember me
While I think of you in my dreams

You know I can only tell you to go
Do it, my love
Tell me you can survive
I know you’ll remember me
While I think of you in your dreams
Because I know you’ll return to me

You know it’s a bit hard to say goodbye

But now I can only tell you to go
I believe in you
You can achieve your dreams
I know you’ll remember me
While I think of you in my dreams

You know I can only tell you to go
Do it, my love
Tell me you can survive
I know you’ll remember me
While I think of you in your dreams
Because I know you’ll return to me

You’ll remember me
While I think of you in your dreams
Because I know you’ll return to me

to the tune of Call Me - Feminnem

Den Galna Nomader, or DGN, had previously represented pre-unification Skanden in the 12th World Hit Festival. The act consists of 2 attractive blonde ladies, named Lydia and Andra. For the second time in a row, the Skandish entry is bilingual, particularly in Swedish and Italian. DGN also released a version of the song partially in Kalosian, there were rumours the entry would be trilingual but it eventually didn't happen.

Lydia was wearing a white-and-gold dress while Andra was wearing a blue-and-black dress. The Skandish delegation made use of an orchestra and sent Nicholas Bergen, a Skandish WHF veteran, to conduct for them.

Gold for Lydia, Blue for Andra, Black/default for both.

Come…

Come una pioggia porta fortuna
Il mondo intero celebra
La bellezza della vita
Che abbiamo raggiunto

Come l’alba che saluta ogni mattina
Qualcuno, lui sorriderà a te
Lui ti darà la felicità
E tu sentirai l’amore

Jag trodde att världen var en tråkig plats

The song ended and the girls said "Thank you! Tack! Grazie! Gretsi!" and then left the stage.

I thought the world was a boring place
Life here was always the same
But then, everything changed for me forever

Maybe you wonder what happened to me
I’ll tell you something that you can follow
So please listen to change your life

So I opened my eyes
To the beautiful world
I understood that there’s so many places to see

I began to appreciate life
I explored this great world
And I don’t regret
That, the best decision of my life

Like a rain that brings fortune
The whole would celebrates
The beauty of life
That we have achieved

Like the dawn greets every morning
Someone, he’ll smile at you
He’ll give you happiness
And you will feel love

I thought the world was a boring place
