Bob Simis sat in the back seat of his silver hybrid sedan rinsing his mouth with a bottle of duty free whiskey he'd bought at the airport back home. "Ugh. That was the worst sandwich I have ever eaten," he winged, referring to a meal on the charter flight. "I hope the reporters don't smell it." "Okay sir, we're here." the driver said, ignoring the flashbulbs outside. The driver got out and opened the door and revealed Robert in a strapping white suit. He walked down the red carpet, telling the paparazzi to go *censored* themselves.

OOC: It would have been good if you had posted a link to this in the other thread. I only found this because I was wondering whatever happened to the awards and did an exhaustive search.

The all white Tigner 62 pulled to the edge of the red carpet and as the door opened to a smiling a waving Bradley Cutter. Bradley exited the vehicle and took a moment to recognize the fans before walking into the hall. Bradley walked with his companion of the evening and singing starlet Valerie Jett. Bradley wore a nicely cut Florintino Venichi tuxedo while Valerie was dressed in a fabulous sparkly paillette column by the designer R.

Following Bradley a second Black Tigner 62 pulled to the curb and unloaded director of Bastard Jean Michel Girard and his wife Annalilia Girard. Jean Girard was wearing a Martin Himmel Tuxedo and had his right hand over the platinum lions head of a beautifully etched mahogany cane. His wife Annalilia was wearing a multi-layered petaled gown by Constance Morrow edged in sequins. They smiled and waved at the crowd as they walked into the venue.

Another black Tigner 62 arrived and Arletta Burke the mother who turned her sons life and death into a massively popular film in the form of the documentary None Dare Call it Treason exits the vehicle. She is accompanied by a picture held in her arms of her son David Burke. Arletta is in a beautiful and elegant silver and black lace gown.

OOC: Dam, sorry guys. I was watching the Olympics and totally spaced this. Let's get under way shall we.

A well-dressed, petite, blonde haired woman walked out onto the stage with an envelope in her hand. She took her position in front of the microphone, took a deep breath, and began to speak.
"Ladies and gentlemen," she said while smiling at the attendees, "welcome to the first annual Bergnovinaian Actors Guild Award ceremony. Tonight, I and my co-host from Niur will be announcing the winners for some of the most presitgious awards in moive making. First, I would like to acknowledge all of the staff of the guild and it's founder for putting forth the time and effort to make this ceremony possible. I would also like to thank all of the nominees and of course those films that made it to this stage. Without further ado, let's move on to the first category.

The nominees for best director are: Matthew Dunn from United Gordonopia for "Ones and Zeros." Arthur Evans from Tergnitz for "Hostile Takeover, The Rise of the Corporate Army." El-Arnia from Al-Mumtaz for "The God's War." Finally, Jonothan Briori from Justorica for "JustAtherton." And the winner of the award is..." tears open envelope.

OOC: Since Niur hasn't done this yet, I will. However, I hope Niur will do the rest for the next week(ish) because I will be taking an enexpected vacation because a realitve of mine died yesterday in a car accident.

"The nominees for Best Motion Picture (Drama, Horror, or Action) are: Libertarian Governance for 'Bastard.' United Gordonopia for 'Ones and Zeros (Part 1).' Skitivia for 'Hidden Magic, Based on a True Story.' And finally, The Archiepelago for 'The Bucket List.' And the winner of the award is..." tears open envelope.

OOC: Sorry, was snowboarding.

Syress Matami stepped on to the stage, a Mesai with average height; about 6'8", black tipped ears, and a painful looking scar running across his grinning face, all dressed up in traditional yet fashionable Niuri clothing. Despite his ordinary appearance, he was a famous Niuri celebrity, and instantly brought a cheer.

"Sorry I'm late, I had to help an old friend out with, well I'm not exactly allowed to say, but lets just say it was top secret..." He said the last part with his hands over his Mesai face, and in a whispered tone, as if to imply he was telling a secret to the crowd.

"Now I am going to be announcing quite a few of the winners, so I hope you can sit through my jabbering long enough to get to the good part of the show; the ads!"

Jean Michel Girard the director of Bastard walked on stage to the cheers of the audience. Thank you, thank you. Taking his award and raising it high in the air the grinning director begins to speak into the mic. Thank you, thank you. This is a great honor for me. Winning this award has been well it is a dream I think all directors have. To be acknowledged by your peers for the love and sweat put into your work is a very good and cherished moment for me.

I want to thank you all. I would also like to thank those real life heroes that lived such lives so long ago. Bastard is after all, a story set in history, set in the birth of my adopted homeland, Libertarian Governance. Bastard tells the tale of regular people that in many cases became legends.

Without these legends we would not have had such a story to draw from. So, thank you to the real players. I want to say to that in Bastard we had a very good crew. Bradley Cutter was phenomenal. I want to thank Ed Hammer, Blake Weiss, Alan Thomas, Dmitri Orlov, Andrei Orlov, Richard K Kruegar, Trent Barber, Nicholas Solari, Jennifer Marshall, Vera Snow, Norma Pickering, Chance Corbitt, Martin McMasters, Jordan Taylor, Silas Banning, Charles Ray, Leia Fenin, and Naum Rogozhin.

There are many other people responsible for our success and I want to say thanks to everyone that was involved. I want to thank perhaps the biggest single contributor to my success with this film and that will be soul mate and inspiration in everything I do, my lovely wife Annalilia Girard.

I love you guys. Thank you again!
Girard returns to his seat.

Then the ceremony was hijacked by Blytheboroughian TV presenter and prankster Chris Norton, who got up from the audience and suddenly hijacked the microphone from Jean-Michel and then started to do a parody of the Bee Gees' dance for Stayin' Alive.

His speech began as "Now guys, come on, let's stop getting cr*p past the radar, shall we..." and then suddenly started to parody the dance for Staying Alive.

Syress Matami, upon seeing this, swiftly grabbed on to the offending prankstersarms, and twisted until he began to scream. Then he whispered into the man's ear, "Stop acting like a fool and get off the stage, we don't want blood on an award ceremony, now do we?"
