So, here's the idea; a few brave RP'ers embark on an epic series of roleplays that will leave them happy and fulfilled and will have a lasting impact on...
Oh, fuck it. Who am I kidding? This is the idea, ok, work with me here:
A series of roleplays would revolve around the adventures (or misadventures, to those less-charitably inclined...) of a nascent rock-and-roll band. Excluding myself, probably four or five RP'ers (one character per, please) can take part in this at any given time, for as many or as few RP's as they would like, hopefully replacing members as they leave, or whatever. I'm gonna call the minimum here at least two or three RP'ers. We'll just have to see.
RP's would hopefully be hosted by member RP'ers (including myself), as the bandmembers go touring and playing across the world.
This will only get off the ground if enough people join up or express interest.
I originally considered posting this on II, but given the fate of many a character RP there, I thought the NationStates forum would give this an opportunity for survival.

I may also ask for an example of past RPing; one-liners aren't an option here, and a reasonable amount of effort is a must (I understand most of us have lives outside of NS, obviously). Please, for God's sake, follow simple physics and common sense (things are not made out of explodium, for instance). No probs, though, with furries or any characters that might be 'differently human.'
Feel free to add as much to the app as you want, by the way. The more detail the better for RP purposes.

Here's the character I will primarily be using, and as an example for the character sheet:
Name: Art Vulksmunn
Age: 22
Nationality: Fanboyist (Allamunnic/Tyrian)
Position: Bassist (See Character Description for playing style)
Character Description: Art is an amateur bassist, with no formal training. One day, he decided he wanted to play, got together with a few friends, and they rocked out through high school. Art joined another band in college, but he left entering his senior year after disagreements about the band's direction surfaced: other band-mates preferred hip-hop and rap-rock roots and direction, a decision he clashed with. Why? Because Art. Loves. Hard. Rock. The good ol' fashioned kind. The devil's music. The kind that had self-righteous elders in the '50's, '60's, and '70's clutching their ears and screaming "No more!" Heavy Metal? It's in the same vein, as far as Art's concerned.
As far as personal convictions are concerned...well, Art's a pretty principled guy, in some ways. He's not above a little drinking, a little debauchery, certainly not against pre-marital sex...but he stops short at drugs, and is likely to at least mildly dissapprove of any bandmate that smokes like a chimney or is particularly prone to passing out dead-drunk in the back-seats of cars. If it comes down to going his own way to rock out the way he feels he should, it's a path he'll take.
Art's bass-playing can only be described as unconventional. He plays it more like a second-lead guitar than anything else. Sure, he provides a good baseline and will play normally enough when called for, but providing a so-low-its-in-the-basement snarling that complements the lead's work and provides a heavy, blazing tool of instrumental firepower. At his best playing heavy-metal or AC/DC-vibe hard rock. As Brian Johnson put it immortally, "Rock and roll ain't noise pollution." It must be loud. It must be proud. It must leave ears bleeding and minds blown. It'll leave audiences "Thunderstruck."
On the physical side, Art's not exactly the tallest; not short, but not quite tall, either, at about 5'9", fairly stocky (muscular build, though, not obese), with light brown hair and dark brown eyes.
