Armeia wrote:"Sure," said Tori, reluctantly. She didn't really have a fear of heights, but being this high up as kind of dizzying. Anja, though, didn't even reply. Her eyes widened and her heart rate sped up, and memories began flooding back. She remembered the snowy day when she came home from school, when she found her whole family gathered in the living room speaking in hushed voices about something. She remembered wondering what was going on, and how the adults wouldn't tell her anything. And then she remembered hearing the news that her father had been killed by the KLA in the Kosovo War.

Tori saw that her sister was having a flashback, and touched her shoulder. "It's going to be okay," she told her in German, and Anja nodded.

"I, um, need a moment," she managed to say to Emily.

Emily
Out of respect, Emily chose not to ask any questions. "Of course", she replied sympathetically realising something was up and then strolled back over to the window to look out at the view over the the sea and the many islands of skyscrapers that made up Central Yafran.

Tori was sort of embarrassed to be with Anja when she was having a panic attack/flashback, so she followed Emily. "This city is amazing," she said in a thick German accent, staring at the skyscrapers.

Anja leaned against a wall and sat down, trying to remind herself where she was. It's just a flashback, it's not real, she told herself, letting her dreads fall in front of her face. She really hated for others to see her this weak.

It's a popular skiing destination in the winter and good for hiking, white water rafting, mountain climbing and other outdoor activities in the summer. I come from what you could call a typical Kosyan family", Zdenko began deciding not to go into too much detail about his family.
"As far as my interests go, I really enjoy reading, writing and learning languages. Then for sport I like skiing and snowboarding. Oh and I love experiencing new cultures and travelling. "Yes it really is...and most of it wasn't here twelve years ago. See all of these islands with the skyscrapers and pavilions on them? Twelve years ago they were just sandy pieces of land off the coast. The city centre was originally meant to be on the mainland but the city developers decided to turn the those islands into it instead", Emily replied.

"Well my family is full of politicians so we have to know Swedish and English to negotiate with others from the South, and Anja teached German to me so I could talk to her friends... French is the regional language of the South and I kind of had to learn Norwegian when I joined a hockey team full of Norwegian players."
