Omar & Emily: Terminal 3 Yafran International Airport
"Good to see you guys not collapsed on the ground in an underground carpark!", Omar greeted them. "Did you guys have a long flight?", he asked as they walked toward the exit. "We called a taxi to meet us at the exit so you don't have to walk in the sun for long", Emily smiled pointing to the shining white taxi on front of them. The driver stepped out to open the door for everyone. Luckily for Yara, Dmitra and Vladimir it was a minibus taxi so they would have more space.

DMITRA, VLADIMIR & YARA

''It was a twenty hour flight from Scresan to Yafran, as well as a seven hour direct train from Yaktursk to Scresan,'' said Dmitra, getting into the taxi, ''Train transport is very important in Yaktursk. Daily, 32 million go through Yaktursk Central, which is obviously extremely high. Only 7 million passed through Yaktursk Airport last year! And if you see the size of Yaktursk Central...''

Vladimir and Yara nodded. ''The IESP booked us into Elite Class on our flight... The train down to Scresan Central was a ultra-high speed train, but we were booked into Standard Class. Of course, all the rail services in Verona are done by VRN, the state-owned railway company. But the trains on the Yaktursk-Scresan line, all services are direct, have personal entertainment devices on the back of each seat, since it is a seven hour journey! So it's not like we were dying of boredom,'' added Vladimir.

''So what's the school like?'' asked Yara, finally.

Omar and Emily:
"I'm sure you guys will like it here too...once you adjust to the weather. With you will just give it a few days and you will get used to it", Emily assured them.
"The school is absolutely amazing, it was originally planned to be a five star hotel resort but plans were changed to turn it into a school so obviously it's more luxurious than you would expect a school to be. On one side have two beaches, sports facilities. Then along the beach there are dorms and a swimming pool. As for the main building that's where all the classrooms are then next to that is the Al Qasr building. It was once an old Arab Palace now it is our library, theatre and café/restaurant part is. The restaurant is amazing by the way!", Omar explained. "Oh and if we can get back quickly then we could catch up with everyone else and sort out the dorms".

Zoey Clarke did not terribly enjoy planes. Well, that was not being 100% entirely true. Zoey Clarke enjoyed planes a great deal. Looking out the window and seeing the clouds under her. Seeing the tiny buildings and the large farmlands. Seeing the ocean continue on its billion year journey along the waves, waiting for its time to reconquer the land which divided it. Zoey Clark did not enjoy the landings. Sitting next to the window was great, until everything began to get bigger. As everything got bigger, her ears began to pop. She felt lightheaded, sick to her stomach. Not the way she had hoped to be feeling on her first day of school. Her first time meeting new people in a new country. But, shut her eyes she did, clasp her hands together tightly and waited for the jostling about that came with the wheels touching the pavement again for the first time in hours.

She clicked her seat belt open and grabbed her carry-on bag she stowed underneath her seat. Just a small school bag, filled with a couple of her favourite stories. Some pictures of friends that she was leaving behind for a year. And a small teddy bear, which she would not DARE let anyone see. She stuffed that bear deeper into her bag, so not even a centimeter of its brown fluff could see the light of the aircraft.

She walked outside, thanked the pilot, just as her parents always taught her to do, and then headed out to baggage pick up. Getting her bag did not take too long. She only brought a few bags with her. Enough stuff to last the year. She slowly walked, half carrying, half dragging her luggage with her, to a desk.

"Hello?" She said slowly, in her very noticeable Rhodeve accent. "Where would I be ablt to find the IESP program pick up?"

The woman at the information desk smiled at Zoey. "The bus with IESP left thirty minutes ago. But we were instructed to call taxis for any extra students", she informed her. "So just look outside the main entrance to the terminal to find a taxi. Don't worry, for the students taxis were already paid for so you won't have to pay anything", she said helpfully.

"Oh, thank you so much." Zoey said cheerfully. "You have been ever so helpful." Zoey thanked the kind lady one last time, before heading outside into the nice warm air of Kwadai. She was not quiet sure how to hail a taxi here, but just copied the hand gesture of a business man behind her. Sure enough, a taxi stopped for her. She quickly put her luggage into the trunk of the car, and then asked, "Can you please take me to the IESP school in Yafran?"

Reijas Sarsi

The group decided it was best to move on, a fact that he was most supportive of. It was great to see them move forward. Airports were place of transport, not mass congregating with little purpose. Reijas followed his guides outside- yep, it was extremely hot, a swift and brutal heat descending upon them. Reijas took the heat in a decidedly more conservative and capable manner than his fellow foreigners did, however. Pushania was a sweltering jungle and the firestorm artillery barrages of his youth didn't help matters, cyclonic firestorms raging in and out of the cities with foul intent. Forty degrees celsius was the summer norm, with a danger temperature of fifty two being reached for a week or two a a time. It was equally as humid as well, the jungle festering upon your skin. It didn't make the heat any more comfortable, so Reijas got into the transport with haste borne from experience.

More students arrived as they prepared to leave, the large-scale Veronans. They had been involved in his previous excursion and Marshites weren't unfamiliar with humans with genetic differences or non-humans. They didn't handle the heat as well either. Two collapsed, medical teams arriving soon and tending to them. By the Marshite Stars, how were they going to be kept cool in school if they couldn't handle this temperature? It would no doubt be a lower temperature for most of the trip but not ten or fifteen degrees usually. The airport was air conditioned and they had plenty of water, Reijas was starting to fear for the viability of his fellow students in this environment, and he muttered another prayer as he saw them getting helped. "Sparek elsiran tchalla-sein for," Reijas repeated his prayer from earlier, devoting himself to the guides.

They spoke of Yafran and its qualities, beauty and otherwise, Reijas following more devotedly with his eyes and a hand that started to sketch out some sights as best he could with rapidity on a sketching pad he brought out. It was all very intriguing and exciting pieces of cultural architecture with the Islamic trappings being subdued but vibrant. The Kawdaiy was as large as some of the Factory Ziggurats that existed in Alserta, an impressive feat. Hopefully they put all that space to good use! They soon made their way into the school, which fit the trappings of what he had come to expect out of foreign schools. Beautiful and decadent, large and undermanned, money well spent but could have been spent better. The one thing he could not question was the commitment to education such trappings usually entailed and the quality inherent in the design. With the ride over, he jumped out to collect his luggage, more than a little excited to get this all settled.

"Imperial School of Yafran? Yes I can do that. It will be about twenty five minutes drive", the driver replied. Soon the taxi was speeding down the highway with the towering skyline of Central Yafran straight ahead. The Burj Kawdaiy was particularly amazing standing like a needle pointing to the sky.
A few minutes later the taxi crossed onto Al Jazeera al Hamra the island on which the school was located. The driver pulled up the beautifully landscaped driveway into the courtyard where the bus was parked and other foreign students were taking their luggage out of the luggage compartment. "There you go miss you seem to have only just missed the bus", the driver told her, getting out to take Zoey's luggage out of the car for her.

New Caledonian Airways 413

Attention passengers, this is you captain speaking
Our flight is finally approaching Yafran Interanational Airport, we should have arrived 8 hours and 37 minutes ago, but as all of us know Airport worker protests in Liaki slowed us down. We are extremely sorry for this inconvenience and hope that You'll enjoy your stay in this magnificent city! Please keep your seatbelts fastened until the control light turns off. As always, thank you for flying with New Caledonian Airways.

"Finally, it was the longest flight in my entire life! I want a refund immediately" Asina loudly informed the flight Attendant with a bored look on her face. "Of course Ma'am, all passengers of this flight are entitled to receive a refund. A special team will hand refunds to all passengers next to the information desk. the flight Attendant answered without enthusiasm. Asina was extremely bored after 12 hours of flight and 8 hours of waiting in the airport, even though she was seated in the business class she still experienced discomfort.

The South New Caledonian jet was connected to the airport through an airbridge with glass walls, Asina looked out only to see a rather small airport in comparision to the one she flied from in Liaki. She checked the weather in Yafran using her seat's computer mounted to the seat in front of her. Every seat has a special computer with internet connection mounted in front of it in South New Caledonian Airways' flights, they might be very expansive in comparision with foreign airways, but South New Caledonia is an extremely rich country. It is a little bit colder in Yafran than back in the United Cantons, but it is still relatively hot so there was no need to take any special clothes.

Asina approached the information desk shortly after receiving her refund, she knew she was late, but she wasn't worried as she thought that the Academy is prepared for late students. "Good Day Ma'am, I would like to know where is the Yafran Academy. My plane was late." Asina smiled at the airport worker gracefully.

The woman at the desk looked at Asina. "I'm assuming you mean the Imperial School of Yafran?", she asked the girl. "We'll the school in accordance with the IESp contacted the airport to inform late students that they can get a taxi at the main entrance to the terminal to escort them to the school. Don't worry though you won't have to pay. That has all been covered".

"Thank you sir." She said politely. Zoey took her bags from the driver, thanking him after every bag, before heading towards the other IESP student. She was not sure what to say to all of them, so just stood shyly on the perimeter of the area. She would build up some courage to talk sooner or later, but for now she just needed to be in the company of so many new people.

"Of course the journey will be about twenty five minutes along the Sheikh Ahmed Road highway", the driver said pulling out of the car park. Just like predicted the journey was exactly twenty five minutes. As Asina's taxi pulled into the school's courtyard another taxi that had been carrying Zoey and another carrying Omar, Emily and the three Veronans pulled out.

OOC: Actually the taxi seats would have been extremely comfortable. In KwaDai everything must be of the highest possible quality because of laws that state so.

OOC: Actually, nothing can match my business class seats. They are absolutely the best and everything else is uncomfortable after you sit in them. :p Although it depends, if you don't like seats that "collapse" under you comfortably, you won't like our business class seats

"Thank you for the quick journey Sir, " Asina gave the driver 55 KwaDaian Riyals as a tip, exited the taxi and took her luggage. She pulled out her phone while heading towards the academy building to check if there is any information about the meeting point in the internet.

Both Tamara and Felix had almost fainted with shock when they heard the temperature outside Of course, the two were thinking of different things. Felix was wondering how people managed to play any sort of sport in that heat, knowing how horrible it was even in the high twenties. And Tamara was fretting about her clothing choices. Perhaps she would need to go shopping.

The bus there was quick and cool, a nice change to the temperature outside. The twins sat together, taking a pair of seats near the back.
"It's cool, isn't it? The styles are so different... I think I could make a whole new wardrobe with these as inspiration!" Tamara said, staring at the clothes outside.
"Uh-huh."
"Of course, the materials and designs are made for this weather, so you'd have to adjust it a bit."
"Hmm."
"And I need to get myself those shoes!" she squeeled, pointing at a pair a woman across the road was wearing.

"You aren't listening, are you?" she added after moments silence.
"No. "

Tamara sighed, calming a little, before she spotted the school and began talking again, admiring the structure and architecture. And they were to be studying here! It was amazing.

Omar, Tareq, Sari and Emily:
"Is everyone ready to head to the dorms then? The ones you'll be staying in are down by the sea and there is lots of shade from the palm trees so don't worry too much about the heat", Tareq announced. They would soon head through the main building and out into the gardens to head to the villas in which the dorms were to be found.

Jess stepped off the bus and took a few selfies, sending them to her friends back home. Who's going to room with me? she wondered, looking for the other students. She also wondered if there was a place near here to get tattoos, she wanted to get one to remember this trip.

Mark

"How do they enjoy the natural beauty if all they have are these giant skyscrapers?" I asked Ása as we made our way through the city. And for what it was it was true if there was so much natural beauty in the area how could they really enjoy it with all these post-modern skyscrapers dotting the city. It seemed nearly impossible just to see the sky at this point really.

Before Ása could answer my question however the bus stopped at our final location... The school. For what it was worth it was nice and I almost immediately got out of the bus forgetting the fact that it was an oven outside. But I soldiered on through the heat and waited for the others to come out.

Ása

I had just heard Marks question about seeing natural beauty but before I could get a word in the bus came to a halt as the native guy Tareq announced yet another obvious and it pointless thing about the trip. He might be cute but I honestly am having to hold back the feeling of punching him in the throat, maybe I'm being overly aggressive but that's how I feel about it really. I slowly walked out of the buss wanting to keep myself in the air conditioning as long as humanly possible but finally had to face reality and go into the hellfire that was the outside.

As everything started to unfold I saw Jess taking a couple selfies on her way out. She seemed like someone I could handle as a roommate so maybe I'd follow her around for a moment try and see who she tags along with befor making my final judgment on her.

DMITRA (ATTENTION SOUTH NEW CALEDONIA)

Dmitra gracefully glided out of the taxi, which had caught up with the bus. The sun blinded her for a moment, however she simply covered her eyes rather than collapse as she very much wanted to. She, however, kept herself together and she took some pictures of the school and sent them (via internet, as it would have cost a fortune to text them) to her family and friends back in Verona.

She then decided to talk to someone other than Vladimir and Yara. After judging everyone, she decided she would approach Asina, although she did not know her nationality or name.

''Hey,'' she said, as she reached Asina.

Tareq, Emily, Omar and Sari
"Attention everyone. We are going to go ahead and show you where you will be staying so if you could please come with us now", Emily said loudly so everyone would hear. She and the other KwaDaians entered the foyer of the main entrance to the school. The cool refreshing air immediately washing over them. The foyer was beautiful with cream coloured marble floors decorated with varying patterns and a tall atrium. On one side was the schools office on the other a staircase leading onto a second floor mezzanine. The Arabic style was present as well and there was a faint yet very nice scent wafting in the air.
The KwaDaians led the group back out of the foyer and out of the building into a garden of flowers and palm trees, canals snaked through the garden the water glistening magically in the sunlight. Crossing the canal over a small bridge the guides arrived at the first student villa. They entered the building. "Here we are at our first dorm. This is the first of the ten Dar al Maysaf Villas", Sari announced. Upstairs there are four people dorms downstairs are the two people dorms, wh would like to be the first to have a dorm in this villa. The views are of the gardens and canals on one side and of the beach and swimming pool on the other side ", she explained.

"Holy shit," gasped Jess as she saw the surroundings. Even though her family was rich and powerful, she spent more time in hotels and around the Loftus College campuses than in nice areas like this. She took some pictures of the canals, and considered heading to the pool. But she decided to figure out who to room with first. The Veronans weren't bad when I was on the last trip, let's see if any of them are interested, she thought, turning to the Veronans. "Hey, any of you want to room with me?"

Reijas Sarsi

The school certainly lived up to his expectations. It was extravagant and lascivious, the grandeur apparent in every step they took. The nation was wealthy and they spent it on the trappings of luxury, a concept so foreign to a Marshite it was almost disgusting. Every bit spent on this presentation could have went to a hundred causes that would served the Church better. It wasn't that he thought of them in a lesser sense because of how they spent their money. All peoples, all states, all were free to spend where they thought best. Fancy, high class architecture dripping with luxury and an expansive interpretation of Islamic design principles were well within their rights, of course. And it was undoubtedly beautiful. There was no problem with them, it was a problem with Reijas and the Marshite philosophy that if it wasn't religious in nature, it needed to be done for the benefit of process.

Oh well. The villa that would be their dorms. They were quite fetching, all things told. “Well, all things being equal more would be better. But...hmm...hello there!” Reijas said, approaching Mark with a wide smile. “I was wondering if you'd like to room with me?”

Well this is interesting... Maybe a little showy though? But that probably a cultural thing. Back home we usually took pride in our history and tied our best to preserv it. The castle the king stayed in was virtually the same as it was 700 years ago just with new wiring added in the last 50 years. Aside from specific tech upgrades most of it stayed the same. Pretty much all of central Ýærdínbörg has stayed the same. But aside from the cultural differences in how we wished to show our nations wealth the school looked amazing the court yard, the building itself was just amazing and I could see the pool something I knew Ása would love. Then I heard the voice of someone, it was the girl from the lounge and she was asking if would like to room with her.

"Yeah sure why not." I responded with a smile turning to her as she approached me.

Asina Von Miamsen
{Attention Verona}

After hearing someone behind her say "Hey", Asina turned around quickly, yet with grace and smiled at the stranger. Behind her was an extremely tall girl with long, black hair that defenietly is from a cold, northern country. "Hi, what's your name?" She asked the exotically tall girl after she turned off her smartphone's screen. Without waiting for an answer, Asina asked the girl yet another question: "You don't really seem to like hot temperatures, are you a northerner?". Before the foreign girl was able to answer, someone who was proably an Imperial Academy employee has decided that it is time to take the exhcange students to their rooms. "Seems like we have to go to see our rooms, we can talk on the way if you don't have anything against it. So, what is your name? Asina started following the student group.

OOC: Going to introduce my other character now, the one I just added

IC:
Anja stepped out of the taxi and staggered inside, put off by the heat, but felt better in the air conditioned building. "Where is everyone?" she asked herself, taking off her Crvena Zvezda jacket and revealing a white tank top. She noticed she was getting strange looks from the locals, probably because of her height and athleticism.

Finally Anja ran up to the group, wondering if they'd picked the rooms already.
