But seriously, do send in your questions, we view this as an opportunity for you to get to know the Committee better.

Seems like a lost opportunity, seeing as the current Committee is getting out next edition.

Sorry for the double post but:

1) Sorry for copying your formatting Ekoz but it was nice and I'm shameless.

2) I don't think there's any need to have a Q&A with the committee, I don't think anyone asked for one, and most of us know you well enough.

3) I'll be slowly working through the NF, if I haven't voted in yours yet, then I will do, but feel free to remind me also.

EDIT: Not even a double post wow god is real.

While I mostly agree with you, it's still an lost opportunity in regards to what could have otherwise been used for something 'really special'. I mean, I would hope you guys were open to questions during the entire reign of this Committee, not just now.

After the failure of WorldVision 38 bid, SSTV decided to organize another host bid in WorldVision 40. After voting, SSTV and the Ministry of Culture desire to let WorldVision 40 bid takes place in Bellnan City, Silkjd, the second largest city of Silkjd.
How can I get to Bellnan City?
Image

Bellnan International Airport is the international gateway of Bellnan City. It takes less than 30 minutes to get to Oriental International Hotel, the official hotel of WorldVision. For instance, there will be a 24-hour shuttle bus service between Bellnan International Airport and Oriental International Hotel, and between Oriental International Hotel and Bellnan Stadium, the venue of WorldVision, which each service runs every 5-10 minutes. Although you can take trams between the airport, the hotel and the venue, SSTV and the Government of Bellnan City advised to use the shuttle bus service in order to prevent further busy traffic due to WorldVision.
Where can the participants/tourists stay?
Image

Participants and fans will stay in Oriental International Hotel, the official hotel of the contest. Oriental International Hotel is a luxury hotel in Bellnan City which provides a wide range of luxurious services towards participants so as to make them have an unforgettable experience in Bellnan City. Moreover, for those audience who have WorldVision tickets, the ticket would also include the staying in Oriental International Hotel so as to make them have more interactions with participants.
Where would the contest be held?
Image

Unlike the WV38 Silkjd City's bid, Bellnan City's bid will use Bellnan Stadium, which is a large outdoor sport complex instead of an indoor coliseum. Bellnan Stadium has 68,000 seats, which can contain three times of Sap Fong Coliseum, the main venue of WV38 Silkjd City's bid. This number does not include 30,000 additional seats and 3,200 standing places for WorldVision. If Bellnan City wins the bid, the expansion work will be done immediately after the announcement so as to make participating countries have more understanding on the stage arrangement and the venue so their performance would be the best.
How does the venue look like?
Image

The stage is in the front of the venue. The background is an interactive background, which would be changed depending on the theme of the entry. Moreover, special effects are provided for each entries so as to maintain the atmosphere of the entry. Furthermore, for the central circular area of the stage, it will be able to rise up to 7 meters so that every audience and fans in the venue can see the participants and interact with the participants. For cuisine arrangement during the contest, SSTV will cooperate with restaurants of Oriental International Hotel to provide top global cuisine, including dishes from Ekoz, Normandy and Picardy, Electrum and even Talvezout. This arrangement enables the participants can relieve their homesick so that they can have better performances during their entries. All participants, the press, commentators and audience can enjoy these kinds of food as they are free of charge.
How does the greenroom look like?
Image

Greenroom will be under the stage with comfortable sofas and LCD screen so that the participants can know other participants' performances in a comfort way. Each greenroom will provide a restroom so that participants and the press do not have to share the restroom with numerous audience to relieve the pressure of restrooms in the venue, which also ensures the participants' privacy concerns.
What about the postcards?
Image
Image
Image

For the postcards, there will be three types of postcards. Each nation can choose either one of them as the postcard. This will reflect one of the cities' night view of your nation.

To conclude, Bellnan City is a good place for participants, the press and the audience as Bellnan City tend to provide the best WorldVision experiences towards all of you!

We're All In This Together To Make Our Voices Come True!
Please consider Bellnan City!

Riysa will hopefully be taking part in this Worldvision, under the singer Uday Tajjar. He will be singing Hekayat Riysa, sung to the tune of al-Watan al-Akbar, and Maghawer Biladi, sung to the tune of Saff al-Askar.

I really hope the winning bid turns out to be one of the best bids so far, this is the anniversary celebration after all and I hope it gets the hosting it deserves :)

Network ENN Selection

If you vote in our National Final, then if you have one of your own, please link to it in your telegram, and I will vote in it too. This is the selection for Electrum's song, not the Electrum Diplomatic Offices.

The Electrum Diplomatic Offices will be represented instead by Gertrude Pullman with a song called "The reason why the world is so great" (short title)

Network ENN hereby starts the selection for the song for the 40th Worldvision Song Contest. In celebration of this contest, the 40th anniversary, songs from previous selection contests have been chosen for a second chance. The song order has been randomised. Here's how the voting system works:

Give seven points to the song you least prefer, then in order of preference: 8, 10 and 12 points to the song you most prefer. Please send the telegram to this nation, Electrum Diplomatic Offices. The following song choices are:

Blindness
by Verde

Silence
by Jo Parker

Out of this world
by Pelissa Pisera

Starry Night
by Alize Hawthorne

Also, our page on iiwiki has been updated.

I am your puppet. Santa Claus will sing "The Santa Claus Song". Of course, everyone in this country is named Santa Claus and it's Christmas all year so that gets quite confusing.

That could be a change for WV40.

Not the first time, but it isn't a thing regularly done by recent hosts. If you're given the honour I'm sure you could pull this off well. not that that link was necessarily the first occurence tho

Also Ekoz, you manage to present some concepts I introduced in my most recent bid better than I did (I'm only talking about the album art), and I love the graphics! I get that you use pics from the most recent Eurovision, and what appears to be the 2012 Olympics. Where else do you get them from?

I literally just think of a concept and google it and pick what I think looks the nicest then edit it on the Macbook Paint 2 App which is so decent! Yeah I did kind of get inspiration from previous bids too. I'm looking forward to other bids to come too. Dreamplanet's logo is more true to the contest than mine, which I really really like.

While I'm not saying you couldn't or shouldn't, how great are the chances of one of you to make it? Not saying any of you did anything bad, I'm just saying that chances are that people will want fresh faces. Variation of spice helps with eating (pretty sure that I murdered that saying in the translation) and all that.

However, that does take us to a great question: Will the ballot be limited in the number of opponents (which would be unlikely but smarter in regards to keeping votes and ensuring that candidates have a majority behind them)? And if so, how will they be selected on who gets to partake and who doesn't?
