I'm debating whether to join or not... I have lots of reservations about this... (I don't think I'm the only one) Anyways, I won't use my other account for this obviously.

I'd recommend using your other account, because otherwise you'll be the only one besides Ash with an MT main canon. Of course, it doesn't really matter, because you can post with your puppets on here anyway, so it's really just about which nation is easiest to app for.

We are developing PMT stuff rather quickly.

Well, obviously, I mean you have a nuclear arsenal before WW2 would have even started in our timeline, an apparently you've got FanT elements (according to your sig), but you've never talked about those as far as I can tell.

It's up to you. You'll either fall into the 'hyperwank' category or you'll be one of those nations that tries to be semi-realistic PMT but really isn't either.

In other news, Vektra and The Andromeda Confederation have been declared enemies of the Ravagery.

My railgun tank is an attempt at semi-realistic PMT (I calculated the gun penetration. The shell weighs 172 kilograms, 4km per sec, 3000mm penetration). My other tank isn't implausible, and the guns aren't too ludicrous (except the experimental one according to Vistora)

Anyways, app up soon.

Yet both are nations starting with 'Novaya', and both have 'Order' in their names. Also, if you look closely, you can see a triangle-based fractal in the lower-right corners of both of their flags...

Question for Planetitties: Is the fantasy world round or flat? If it's round, is the surfaces concave or convex? If it's flat, is it round or rectangular? Is it the center of its universe, or does it revolve around a star which revolves around a galaxy which revolves around an attractor, just like IRL?

I personally hope it's a concave spherical Earth with all the heavens in a physically impossible infinitely-receding finite bundle in the center. Barring that, a flat, circular Earth would be cool, especially if there was a giant wall of glaciers a thousand kilometers high around the edges, or a waterfall where you actually could fall of the edge, and maybe even an uncharted world on the 'underside'.

But those are just my ideas.

Unless you're bent on recreating Discworld (RIP Terry Pratchett), I don't see why that would matter much.

First order of business, Aterria - for a nation that seems to describe itself as late MT/early PMT, having a gross domestic product of $132 trillion is absurdly high. To put it into context, the GDP of the USA is at present in the ballpark of $17 trillion. Unless your nation controls several celestial bodies, you probably won't have a GDP almost ten times that number. Assuming your nation doesn't meet that criterion, I suggest cutting down your GDP to about $30 trillion, maybe $40 trillion.

Oh, I simply multiplied my population estimate of 2.2 billion by 60,000 (GDP per capita). Ok I guess I can change. (Look at my 1952 map for the size) Suggestions otherwise?

Your GDP per capita and technological development are preposterous even for an althistorical nation. The least you could do is give it a punky twist for justification.

Hmm, I could say that the GDP is made up by the MINISTRY OF TRUTH . Tech wise, I might write a history pertaining to everything later. (All I can say now is that Virginia was colonized in 1492 in this place. Never mind about Althist. Just think different history). Anyways, changing GDP now (divided by 3)

Your GDP per capita and technological development is preposterous even for an althistorical nation.

You know Althist literally means different history, right?

Ooooh, it could be a finite-but-arbitrarily-large plane.

Yeah, that would be a possibility for the flat Earth.

And as for Vistora's question, it's mostly because some of the scenarios could lead to interesting possibilities for subplots like the ones below.

a) For a spherical concave Earth, a nation could use clockwork handwavium to drill through the crust and discover a supernatural world on the outside for heightened interactions.
b) For a flat Earth with a defined edge and a waterfall on said edge, ships could fall off, but airborne vehicles (people riding dragons, clockwork gliders, etc) could end up on the underside, where gravity could be flipped to allow for a roughly normal world, or it could be the same for a bizarre world where creatures and civilizations have evolved to cling to the underside and build towns and cities similar to giant, populated stalactites.
c) With a flat Earth with giant walls of ice on the outside, there could be supernatural ice-creatures and/or long-isolated civilizations, and foot expeditions or airship-eqsue vehicles could get lost and deal with such creatures and civilizations. This could also cater to Ash's arbitrarily large plane idea, possibly even with other 'Earth's beyond the ice wall, each one on the inside of a bowl-like depression like the main world, and each with its own ice wall and a different climate and society on the inside.

Yet both are nations starting with 'Novaya', and both have 'Order' in their names. Also, if you look closely, you can see a triangle-based fractal in the lower-right corners of both of their flags...

It's a ring. The East end of the Map connects to the west, but the North is a flat line and so is the South. So, an O'Neil Cylinder. The North and South turn into giant glacier walls at the rim of the Ring, and recede into a lack of atmosphere. If you walk off the edge, you fly off into space and die.

But that's not actually set in stone.

Maybe a ringworld, then? OTOH, fantasy presents a great opportunity to make impossible shapes, like a ringworld with unlimited depth.
