The People of the Throngist Republic of Lesva are in fear of the news that has fallen upon all of us. Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the Head of Government, the Honorable Jarren Prica, has announced that First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva and Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the United Federation of Gael, the Head of State, the Honorable Taica Berislavić, is undergoing medical examination over a sudden health crisis. The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Throngist Republic of Lesva made this announcement at the Supreme National Carto of the Throngist Republic of Lesva before Members of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva. The Head of Government said that the Head of State was already in a weakening condition when last visiting the Supreme National Carto to meet with and award the Throngist Republic's legendary retired goalkeeper and new goalkeeper coach, the Honorable Geni Apsava, who came to meet with the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva. The health did not improve since and medical involvement was required. Chairman of the Council of Ministers Jarren Prica said that the Party and the People would be informed about the state of health of the First Secretary, who is said to remain in good shape.

Today, combat has begun in our war with Vacrus. The Vacrusians, who declared war without seeking peace and launched their invasion in the following hours, have taken advances along the 1623 line and have defeated unready Kravatoan brigades at a skirmish at the Oalchev Pass. Luckily, they were unable to fully control the pass despite their victory. Taking this pass would be integral to launching an attack on the western half of Iersheno, and the key city of Netil home to the Kravatoan administration and the KRN's naval base on the isle. So far, only a few deaths have been reported through combat. The Vacrusians have taken early advances, gaining territory though not much.

From reports, it seems that their forces are moving onto three key positions of Kravato’s military, the territory capital Netil, Sveta Kata and her naval base, and Iersheno airstrip from where the 2nd Air Wing has based its operations. What shall happen to these Kravatoan citizens on Iersheno is a question. If they are to be forced to renouncing Kravato, or forced into Catholic absolutism, the intents of Vacrus, and the reasons for this invasion, are weak. As this war begins to set in, it seems that it is purely a war of conquest for Vacrus.

Despite their surprise declaration of war and the ensuing crisis, Kravatoan command has remained confident in victory. The Minister of Defense said that “We took losses because we were taken by surprise; Now that we are more prepared, we will be able to retake lost ground.”
He did, however, declare that a foreign legion was to be formed. This legion, the International Defence Army of Kravato, has been in the talks of the minister since the outbreak of war.

He said, “Kravato’s army is not at the size of Vacrus’s, and any volunteers would be accepted.” This foreign legion would allow volunteers between the ages of 18 and 35 from all nations and would be supplied for by the Kravatoan government. He also mentioned that any aid in weaponry or supplies from foreign nations would be greatly appreciated.


HIGH COURT RULES FOR BURKAS

The High Court has finally made a ruling on the succession of King Mishba III. They decided to rule Regiae Successionis, which would give the Prime Minister Sandro Burkas the powers of King until Prince Jorv is of age. This is expected to be due to the outbreak of war, as a Forum-held power or public power would not be decisive enough for the quick action needed. Burkas graciously accepted the position this evening.

Prince Jorv also said that he supported the choice. He said at the ceremony, “It is best that you are put in power for now, for the safety and protection of our nation.” This is the sentiment that has echoed across the Forum, as partisan lines are eroded with the uniting cause of defense.

For Burkas, this appointment is a major step forward. He has been acting more centrist as of late, and this new position will give him the bipartisan support needed for reelection and also for leading Kravato in the war. Burkas said on his assumption of the role, "I thank the courts for giving me this honor, and thus I shall act as the King did in respecting all parties and keeping my focus on the betterment of Kravato and her people."

The Nation has been eagerly awaiting for the latest developments, updates and answers on the health of First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva and Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the United Federation of Gael, the Honorable Taica Berislavić, after it was announced yesterday that the Head of State was undergoing a medical examination by doctors after encountering a health crisis. The announcement that the Head of State was being examined by doctors came from the Head of Government. Today, Chairman of the Council of Ministers Jarren Prica once again spoke before the Party and announced that to Them and through them to the People of the Throngist Republic that First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva and Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the United Federation of Gael Taica Berislavić is indeed sick from an unspecified airborne disease and the doctors had prescribed quarantine for the Head of State before treatment could be prepared. From a podium at the Supreme National Carto, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Throngist Republic of Lesva read a statement written by the Head of State:

"Dear Compatriots,

I will not hide and will confirm to everybody that the doctors had informed me of my health having come across a challenge. I have not been given a specific diagnosis, but I have been told that I have fallen victim to an airborne virus. My condition is stable, but the doctors have advised me to self-isolate and enter a quarantine. For the safety of everyone, I have seen it as my duty to follow this advice. I will continue my functions as Head of State, First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva and Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the United Federation of Gael from quarantine, but my required physical presence will be substituted by subordinate fellow Party Members and officials. Interesting developments are unfolding in Throngist Lesva. The official face of the regime, the head of party and state, the enigmatic Taica Berislavić, is officially ill. This information surfaced not from some secret insider information or anonymous leaks, but this was announced by the regime itself. The Throngist dictatorship's head of government Jarren Prica was the one to make the announcement yesterday that Berislavić was sick and was being examined by doctors. Today, Prica followed-up with an update and announced that Berislavić was diagnosed with an unspecified "airborne disease" and the doctors recommended that enter quarantine. Prica read a message from Berislavić himself, where Berislavić confirmed the virus infection and entering the recommended quarantine, but confirmed that his condition was stable and that he would continue to be the head of state, the head of party and also the so-called "Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the United Federation of Gael" from quarantine, while Jarren Prica and the regime's new Minister of Gaeltic Affairs and Integration, the likewise enigmatic Viktor Kovac, would substitute Berislavić where physical presence is needed.

Professor Lecam Ceru, a Lesvan dissident political analyst and historian, said that on one hand it is interesting that the Throngist dictatorship reported so openly about the illness of their leader to the citizens under their oppression and subsequently the international community. According to the Professor, authoritarian regimes and especially totalitarian dictatorships, most often ideological ones like the Throngist regime, usually try to cover up the state of health of their leadership, in order to uphold the image of totalitarian rulers as demigods among the people and to protect the reputation of their cult of personality. The state of health of the leader and them being ill or undergoing treatment are usually not reported, unless the totalitarian leaders die and it no longer becomes possible to hide their deaths. And even then, legends are made up about the deaths of totalitarian leaders, usually going in a mystical direction like theories of reincarnation, transcendence and others. On the other hand, Professor Ceru said that the Throngist regime is not a personalist dictatorship with a cult of personality, even though Berislavić has been trying to build one and partially succeeded. The Throngist dictatorship is a collective dictatorship of one ideological party and the head of state or head of government are both just replaceable faces of the party. Anything can happen to any of them, as long as the party and the system live on. Throngist Lesva does not believe in individuals and this has been openly proclaimed by the regime several times. Therefore, Berislavić as a person is not a sacred figure and thus the party does not rely on his fate or his well-being. The party lives on and Berislavić currently serves as the face of the party just like his deceased predecessors have. Because Berislavić is not a sacred figure and not a demigod, the regime feels comfortable about openly talking about him being sick just like any other human being. These are the conclusions that Professor Lecam Ceru makes.

Almost half of Arvento's population is rural and a big chunk of the population is illiterate, it has enough oil for its own use but not enough oil to sell. Transportation and industry require a major revamp. This, along with a high ratio of poverty and illiteracy has proved to be a heavy burden on the Arventine people in the country. Due to the communist past, Arvento places a high emphasis on agriculture and as a result, has an agrarian economy. Regionalism is still strong at this time and only a small fraction of Arventines have voting rights. The new monarchical regime under Marshall Alessandro Avianni controls most of the country but some cities and areas of Avrento are still loyal to the communist leader Yorgos Papiadis. After a bloody civil war, it seems like there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel with the nation transitioning to a new form of government under a new leadership.

With the capital city of Remopolis gone, General Secretary Yorgos Papiadis did not have much of a choice. He was hiding in the city of Behruz in the north of the country, which was a city which he transformed into an industrial hub of the nation. Now, the city was a fortress defended by the remaining communist forces.

The revolutionary forces are advancing towards the city and Yorgos knew that if he were to be captured, death sentence was guaranteed for him. Currently, the communists hold the Verduno Hill which is an advantageous position and an obstacle for the revolutionary forces. Marshal's forces are using artillery and Su-35 flankers to attackt he enemy positions.

Government signes its recongnition to Lesvan Presidential Republic, diplomatic criris expected with Lesva

Prime Minister Dusân Ghorov signed its recongnition of the Government of the Lesvan Presidential Republic, government in-exile of Lesva, currently under the Throngist Dictatorship. The Lesvan Prime Minister in-exile Pagala Ira publicly praised Prime Minister Ghorov, defining his support as encouraging for the future, while the reaction of the current Throngist government, which has not yet expressed itself on the matter, will be different, however it is quite obvious that the response will be anything but positive , possibly even triggering a diplomatic crisis between the two countries.

Prime Minister Peter Hall of the United Republican Party has been invited to speak at the annual National Veterans Foundation event in his hometown of Lancaster this coming Friday. Yesterday, a second visit with Lesvan Prime Minister Pagala Ira occurred at the Chuuṣoostee Capitol building. However, when verified press were allowed into the conference area to ask both Ropine and Ira questions, a stray bullet nearly hit Ira's shoulder. The attacker missed and was quickly detained by Remodin security. Today, Tuurn Ropine addressed the press and revealed the details of what happened yesterday. The attacker was a member of a Throngist organization known as "Remodio, Guudi buuj Jala" (Eng: Remodio, First & Always). Ropine announced that Ira is safe and was examined by Remodin doctors before being securely escorted to Ioodiisite International Airport, where he then flew back to Roendavar. "This wasn't just an attack on a political ally. It was an attack on a personal friend of mine, a friend of Remodio. But they didn't succeed. And they never will." The attacker's name was revealed to be Ariik Harah, a science teacher from Ghorthiid. Harah's social media has been highly critical of Ropine's administration, while other posts praised the work of Taica Berislavić in mainland Lesva. His most recent post on Facebook read the following:



Tuurn Ropine has repeatedly denounced Throngism both abroad and domestically. She has called on the First National Party to denounce the assassination attempt or face consequences. She stated, "I fear that Berislavić falling ill is only going to breed more right-wing extremism in Remodio. I'm not the one to spread conspiracy, but what are the odds that this is all a ploy to increase his cult of personality?" Ropine later clarified that that likely wasn't the case, and that she was just pointing out the propaganda of Throngist Lesva.

Outside of the attempt on his life, Iga's second visit proved to be very productive. He thanked the Remodin people for their support, asked for Remodio to stay par for the course despite the turbulent times and promised that Remodio's support now would be reciprocated in the future. Ropine hopes that by fighting Throngism abroad, she can fight Throngism domestically.

Another diplomatic breakthrough as been reached in another Lesvan-Balniki fraternal engagement in the current visit by Minister of Gaeltic Affairs and Integration of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the Honorable Viktor Kovac, to Rustov, the capital of the Federation of Balnik and fellow state of the United Federation of Gael. Leader of the Federation of Balnik, the Honorable Andre Chernobog and the Leadership of the Federation of Balnik have announced that the Federation of Balnik would finally be designating the Government of the Lesvan Presidential Republic in exile and the Council of the President of the Republic of Lesva in exile as terrorist organizations in the same way as the Throngist Republic of Lesva has designated both organizations as terrorist long ago. This has been called a sign of solidarity, but also a foreign policy alignment of both of states of the United Federation of Gael against the forces wishing to destabilize either one of or both of the states of the United Federation of Gael. The destabilizing forces will now become even more aggressive as the United Federation of Gael continues to strengthen itself, so it is better for both states of the United Federation to designate the clear mutual enemies now. In response, the Throngist Republic will now be looking forward to respond to this new move by the Balniki Leadership. The Throngist Republic will likewise designate any organizations or groups aiming to destabilize the current state order of the Federation of Balnik as terrorist and extremist organizations. This will not only be a fraternal show of solidarity, but will also be a declaration that the Throngist Republic is ready to combat all forces aiming to bring destabilization in both the Throngist Republic of Lesva and in the Federation of Balnik, as the United Federation of Gael moves forward.

LPR Visit: A Change of Winds for Dealings with Lesva
After a series of meetings, the government-in-exile known as the Lesvan Presidential Republic (LPR) came looking for new friends and partners, and was able to find people who understand and support their cause. While the Belantic government may be slow to react, many private citizens have shown their support for the LPR, and disgust for the Throngist regime back in Lesva proper. But after the visit, the LPR did find new allies in returning democracy to Lesva and repairing the damages that the Throngists have inflicted onto their own country.

"After meeting with Pagala Ira, truly a man who has a heart and drive to save his country from the disease that is authoritarianism, our organization now sees that the LPR is indeed legitimate and dedicated to the cause of returning democratic rule to Lesva," Derrick Saunders, Chairman of the International Society of Democratic Movements (ISDM) bagan, "and therefore we believe that more should hear their story. It was a sad moment when the Throngists forcibly took control of Lesva, without the consent of those who live and work in their country, leading to a whole slew of lies, suppressions, and a healty dose of propaganda. While the Throngist regime does paint themselves as the 'heroes' of their country, its hard for us who live outside of the regime's control to see that, when we have enough hints to see that they indeed have the blood of their fellow countrymen on their hands. The contradictions within the Throngist movements are as clear as day: most notably their recent approval to essentially dissolve the idea of a Lesvan state to integrate the nation with Balnik, essentially handing over control to yet another fascist regime. Naturally, many Lesvans at home and abroad were quite upset at now the Throngists, despite the promises, ended up selling out their country to another dictatorship. Instead of listening to Lesvans who are against such integration, they label them as terrorists and use violence to quash any form of dissent against their regime. We here at ISDM, find these actions horrific at say the least. The beacon of democracy has glowed bright over many nations, including Lesva, but dark forces out there wish to extinguish that light, only for the few at the top to reap the benefits, leaving the rest to squander and have a boot standing on their necks. Our goal is simple: to have that beacon shine bright again over Lesva, and oust the reptilian regime known as the Throngists. Clearly, they would not take kindly to such words, and I am aware that this would paint a target onto the ISDM and myself. However, their reach is quite limited, and they probably know that coming to Belantica to disrupt our work would backfire thanks to our firmness on the values oif democracy and justice. Hopefully, our message can circle around the halls of Parliament and amongst the public, to stand up to these bullies, these thieves, these liars. With that being said, the LPR has a friend in Belantica, and many of us can find ways to help the cause."

Many MPs and senators have now begun talking about how Belantica should handle this developing international affair. Currently, the official stance of the Belantic government is to remain neutral with the Throngists regime in Lesva, and the governments in exile. However, given the recent announcement to integrate the Lesvan state into the fold of Balnik, questions are starting to be asked about the legitimacy of the Throngists regime. Most notably, one MP asked "if the Throngists really do care about their country, why would they sell it out to a neighbor? It is an absurd preposition by all accounts." Currently, the Belantic government as well does not recognize the Federation of Gael, and it's unlikely such recognition would come anytime soon. There is also speculation that both the LPR and the Throngists have contracts with the Nuranto International Banking Corporation (NIBC). Given the legal framework the NIBC uses, there isn't a sure way to confirm either of these speculations unless directly referenced by the respective parties.

KAPOLDER - On 2 May, representatives of the coupist government of Lesva and Balnik met in Saela to sign the "Union Treaty", expressing the desire of the two governments to form a new state in Southern Gael after two years of cooperation as part of the Eastern Tripartite. In this shocking turn of events, the proposed 'Federation of Gael' threatens to undermine the credibility and effectiveness of the Cedar Dyson's foreign policy. As the dictatorial states of Balnik and Lesva openly plan to join forces, it is clear that Dormill and Stiura's diplomatic efforts have failed miserably. This indictment against their foreign policy not only compromises regional stability but also raises concerns about the United Republics' commitment to democracy and human rights.

A Crisis of Leadership:

The proposed 'Federation of Gael' presents a crisis of leadership for the Dyson government, whose foreign policy should be guided by principles of democracy, liberty, and respect for human rights. Despite his rhetoric about promoting these values across the Isles, he has failed to prevent the formation of a union between two oppressive regimes. This failure exposes a lack of strategic vision and highlights the United Republics' inability to effectively wield their influence on the international stage. It is a failure that compromises their moral authority and undermines their credibility as a champion of democracy.

This crisis of leadership underscores a worrisome trend in not only in Dyson's foreign policy, but his domestic policy as well. Instead of taking a proactive stance against dictatorships, the United Republics have shown a willingness to engage and negotiate with oppressive regimes in the name of short-term gains. By prioritizing pragmatic considerations over democratic principles, he has inadvertently contributed to the consolidation of power among dictatorial states. This approach not only weakens his position as advocates for human rights but also emboldens other autocratic regimes, signaling that the United Republics may turn a blind eye to human rights abuses in pursuit of the interests of President Dyson. This is further exacerbated by Dyson's inability to create effective policies at home, instead relying on the work done by former President Richelieu almost a decade after she had served in office. The central question here is simple: Should the public trust Cedar Dyson has their best interests in mind, and has the strength to fight for them?

Disregard for Democratic Principles:

Balnik and Lesva, both known for their ruthless suppression of dissent and blatant disregard for democratic principles, pose a grave threat to the stability of Gael. The United Republics' foreign policy should be aimed at containing and isolating such dictatorial regimes, not enabling their consolidation of power. Unfortunately, Dormill and Stiura's inability to effectively address this situation reflects a lack of resolve and a lack of commitment to democratic values.

Furthermore, the proposed 'Federation of Gael' reveals a concerning pattern in the United Republics' foreign policy approach – a tendency to prioritize stability and economic interests over the promotion of democratic principles. By engaging with oppressive regimes without demanding concrete reforms, a policy the nation has consistently engaged with since the Baetylus Crisis, Dormill and Stiura has legitimized these dictatorships and validated their repressive practices. This undermines the credibility of the United Republics as a defender of democracy and sends a damaging message to the oppressed populations within these regimes, who look elsewhere in the international community for support.

Neglect of Human Rights:

One of the fundamental pillars of the United Republics' foreign policy should be the promotion and protection of human rights. However, the proposed 'Federation of Gael' threatens to trample upon these rights, as both Balnik and Lesva have abysmal records when it comes to individual freedoms. The United Republics, as a self-proclaimed beacon of liberty, should have taken a firm stand against the formation of this union, insisting on democratic reforms and respect for human rights as prerequisites for any cooperation.

Dormill and Stiura's failure to prioritize human rights in their foreign policy approach reflects a shortsighted and expedient perspective that disregards the suffering of countless individuals living under oppressive regimes. By failing to hold Balnik and Lesva accountable for their human rights abuses and by failing to leverage their diplomatic influence to promote positive change, the United Republics not only betray their own values but also demonstrate a lack of empathy and moral clarity. This neglect not only damages their reputation but also perpetuates a cycle of repression and hinders progress towards a more just and equitable world.

Undermining Regional Stability:

The emergence of the 'Federation of Gael' not only poses a threat to democratic values and human rights but also undermines regional stability. Dormill and Stiura's inability to prevent this union's creation a month on sends a dangerous message to other dictatorships, autocratic regimes, and Doraltic allies. It says loud and clear that the United Republics lack the political will or diplomatic skill to counteract the rise of authoritarian alliances, potentially emboldening other oppressive governments in their quest for consolidation and expansion. Shown further by the complete lack of response to the escalation of violence in Romancia.

By failing to take decisive action against the proposed 'Federation of Gael', the United Republics risk exacerbating regional tensions and fueling a dangerous cycle of aggression and oppression. Dictatorial regimes may interpret Dormill and Stiura's inaction as a sign of weakness or tacit approval, leading to further destabilization in the region. The United Republics' failure to effectively address this threat compromises the security of their allies and undermines the credibility of their commitments to collective defense and stability.

Conclusion:

The proposed Federation of Gael, formed by the dictatorial states of Balnik and Lesva, is an alarming indictment against the United Republics of Dormill and Stiura's foreign policy failures. By allowing the consolidation of oppressive regimes, Dormill and Stiura have compromised their commitment to democracy, liberty, and human rights. This neglect not only jeopardizes regional stability but also undermines the credibility of the United Republics as a regional champion of freedom. It is high time for the Dyson government to reevaluate their foreign policy approach and take decisive action against dictatorships, lest their failures continue to tarnish their reputation and hinder the advancement of democracy on the world stage.

Foreign Ministry reacts to Vacrus-Kravato War

Amidst the ongoing Baumes-Romancia Conflict, yet another armed conflict has arisen. On the 17th of May, Vacrus has officially declared war against the nation of Kravato. The keg in Argus has long spilled over and the fog of war has apparently also reached the southern parts of it.

While the exact details for the war declaration seem complicated and a little far fetched, Vacrus has already launched an all-out attack on Kravato. 8000 vacrusian soldiers have already been moved, together with the apparent bombing of cities, Vacrus can be labelled the clear aggressor in this conflict so far, may it be righteously so or not. Main goal of the attack seems to be the island of Yershen, which in vacrusian opinion does not rightfully belong to Kravato, despite the populace being mostly kravatoan. Alongside this apparent infringement of territory, Vacrus also states several aggressive military moves by Kravato as another reason for the war. If all of these claims are true is yet to be confirmed through the presentation of any form of valid proof.
Both nations are blaming each other for the war and true clarity for neutral observers is almost impossible to find at this stage of the conflict.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uprea reacted immediately to the war declaration and has issued a ban of all commercial travel to Kravato, as well as Vacrus. All uprean citizens are urged to evacuate the two nations immediately and return to Uprea. The Government is currently working out a plan to locate every uprean citizens and provide safe passage to Uprea.
While the topic of the new conflict was on the agenda of the parliament, nor real conclusion regarding a reaction or statement was able to be put together. All parties however agreed that any reaction at this stage would be rushed, as such no statement can be expected until more information surfaces.

The Ministry has done what was most senseable and closed its borders towards the two nations and urged uprean citizens to come home. We will focus our efforts towards bringing these people back to Uprea before we get to any political reaction. Providing every uprean citizen with an opportunity to leave the two war-torn nations has absolute priority to us at the moment.

Attempt on the life of President of the Government of the Lesvan Presidential Republic in exile Pagala Ira foiled in Remodio

President of the Government of the Lesvan Presidential Republic in exile Pagala Ira made a second visit to Remodio, which is a country that is shaping up to be the closest ally of the Government of the Lesvan Presidential Republic in exile Pagala Ira, without disregarding Roendavar, which although did not offer formal recognition to the political body, has provided its' territory for their base of operations. As for Remodio, it became the first country to formally recognize the Government of the Lesvan Presidential Republic in exile as the legitimate leadership of Lesva over the Throngist dictatorship and established bilateral relations, which has set off a precedent that could advance forward, as Gorvonia has just become a second country to recognize the Government of the Lesvan Presidential Republic in exile as the legitimate leadership of Lesva over the Throngist dictatorship. Moreover, Remodio also became the first country to be visited by Ira twice in a short while and Ira also seems to have created a close personal friendship with the head of state of Remodio Tuurn Ropine, who has flipped the foreign policy of Remodio towards Lesva in an opposite direction, as Remodio under the previous regime had friendly relations with Throngist Lesva.

Nevertheless, the current visit was not an ordinary one, as Ira survived a public attempt on his life during a joint post-meeting news conference with Tuurn Ropine. During the conference, a local man Ariik Harah, a science teacher from Ghorthiid and a self-proclaimed Throngist fanatic, attempt to kill Ira with a firearm, but a bullet missed Ira's shoulder and Remodio's state security apprehended the man. Ira was checked on by local doctors, before flying back to Roendavar. Ira only commented that he felt lucky to have survived an assassination attempt, which happened so soon after he and his allies had just buried a successfully assassinated associate Asi Spoda. Ira also added that the fact that he was almost assassinated by a local Throngist fanatic in Remodio, a science teacher and intellectual, only proved that Throngism was a poisonous and dangerous ideology that is unfortunately spreading internationally, instead of remaining contained within the borders of Throngist Lesva. According to Ira this is proof to him, his team and should be proof to other countries that the fight against dictatorship and the Throngist ideology specifically needs to become more active and be taken more seriously.

Prime Minister Erkani proposes FY2024 budget
Today, the Prime Minister officially proposed the budget for fiscal year 2024, to take effect on January 1st, 2024, into the Purugera. His proposal would expand subsidies for green energy, expand funding for public schools (including raising entry-level teacher salaries to ₭88,925, or 50,000 IAD), and raises taxes on individuals who make more than ₭450,000 (~253,000 IAD) per year. The proposal would also give the Ministry of Finance the authority to borrow up to ₭20 billion to supply "democratic nations that seek aid against an aggressor." This mostly applies to Nisryn and Kravato against Esterazdravo and Vacrus respectively, but also could be used to fund Lesvan governments-in-exile, as suggested by Minister of Finance Lona Serdenas. The budget proposal was referred to the Committee on Finance to be analyzed and amended. Its tentative committee vote is June 10th, according to Finance Committee Chairman Kin Harena.

The budget is always the second major test of a new parliamentary coalition, the first being the election of a Prime Minister and Cabinet. If a budget fails to pass the Purugera, it is considered a vote of no confidence against the government and would trigger a snap election. The last time this happened was in 1968, when the Social Democrat-led coalition splintered over the creation of a Ministry of the Environment. Since then, no national budget has failed to pass the Purugera on its full chamber vote.

Bill proposes recognition of Lesvan government in exile
Members of the Purugera have been busy with more than the budget this week, as another bill that would formally recognize the Government of the Lesvan Presidential Republic in Exile was introduced on Monday. The bill denounces the current government as an undemocratic state and directs the government to support the government in exile, led by Pagala Ira, in whatever ways necessary.

Local election campaigns begin
This year, Bavarno's 12 districts will all hold elections for their district councils, local legislatures that pass small ordinances and coordinate local services with themselves and the national government. These elections are a major indicator for how the country as a whole view the incumbent government. Usually, these elections take place halfway through a parliamentary term, but the early election that was called in March threw off the date. Council elections usually are more right-wing in terms of the number of councilors that win election, even if more left-wing parties win the popular vote. This is due to an urban-rural split in Bavarnan politics, where cities prefer the left and the countryside prefers the right.

Yarkonas will not seek reelection
President Ayar Yarkonas announced that he will not seek election as the Conservative candidate for President in 2024. Yarkonas cited his age of 67 and wanting to be able to spend time with his family as his reasons for not seeking reelection. This opens up the race for the Conservatives and sets up another potential battle between moderates and hardliners within the Conservative Party.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs States their support for Romancian Independence and an end to the conflict in the region

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has formally expressed its support for Romancian independence and called for a peaceful resolution to the Baumish-Romancian Conflict. Addressing the press at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vice Chancellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Carter Eldridge emphasised the importance of upholding the principles of self-determination. He stated, “Our Republic firmly believes in the right of every nation to determine its own destiny. We stand with Romancia in their quest for independence and self-governance.”

Minister Eldridge acknowledged the delicate situation in the region. He stressed the need for all parties involved to exercise restraint and pursue dialogue as the most effective means to resolve their differences. "We urge both Baumes and Romancia to engage in peaceful negotiations, prioritize dialogue, and find a mutually acceptable solution that respects the aspirations and rights of the Romancian people," he asserted.

The Vice Chancellor further stated that the Republic was committed to supporting Romancia through diplomatic channels, urging the international community to come together and facilitate a peaceful resolution.

Furthermore, Minister Eldridge called for a ceasefire and the immediate cessation of any further military operations, emphasizing the paramount importance of protecting innocent lives and avoiding unnecessary bloodshed. He reiterated Biaten's commitment to promoting stability, peace, and the respect for international law.

Unemployment Rate High, Bureau of Statistics Report finds

In a concerning development, a recent report published by the Bureau of Statistics revealed that 30% of the Biatenian population, or 37% of the adult population, are neither currently in employment nor education. The findings have caused an uproar amongst politicians and experts who are deeply shocked by the revelations. This has left many to ask: what is to blame?

According to the BoS report, 57% of unemployed adults identify as housewives or househusbands. This has led many to blame the Ministry of Family Affairs’ “Campaign for the Biatenian Family”, which encourages Biatenian couples to pursue a traditional nuclear family and encourage a stay-at-home partner to take care of domestic duties and a work partner to earn for the family. While the campaign aimed to highlight the importance of caregiving and domestic responsibilities, some experts argue that it may have inadvertently contributed to the current unemployment situation. Critics contend that the campaign, which was started in 2016 by Minister of Family Affairs Jacqueline Burrell, may have exacerbated the high jobless rate by discouraging some adults from working. The Ministry of Family Affairs has yet to comment.

The report also found that 22% of unemployed adults are unemployed due to frictional unemployment, in which an individual is temporarily unemployed due to personal circumstances, and 9% of unemployed adults report not needing to work due to possessing a sufficient amount of money.

Ex-Speaker of the Carto of the former Republic of Lesva in pre-Throngist times Atsac Colecta, who disappeared after the events of the Saela Spring and the fall of the Republic of Lesva, has resurfaced. The former and last speaker of the Lesvan parliament has appeared in today's special session of the Council of the President of the Republic of Lesva in exile, where ex-President and the current head of the Council of the President of the Republic of Lesva in exile Puicu Gevin declared that Atsac Colecta would be appointed Vice President of the Council of the President of the Republic of Lesva in exile. Colecta declared that unlike some of the former associates, he is remaining loyal to his original oath and to the "true legitimate President of the Republic of Lesva elected by citizens, who never declared former resignation even after the coup." Colecta added he is also remaining loyal to the political party that he and ex-President Gevin were a part of, when they were in the government of Lesva prior to the Throngist takeover. That party in question is the Union of Libertarians and Nationalists (ULN) party, which was the majority-holding ruling party in Lesva that led an authoritarian government before losing power in a coup to a military dictatorship and eventually the Throngists. All the talks about remaining loyal to the legitimate head of state and the party is a clear reference to ex-Prime Minister Pagala Ira and other former officials who, after the events of the Saela Spring, the fall of the Republic and the Throngist takeover, would go on to form a separate Government of the Lesvan Presidential Republic in exile and also leave the party they were a part of, instead forming the New Socialists of Lesva (NSL) party after relocating to Roendavar. While Gevin never resigned as President even after being chased out of Lesva during the Saela Spring, Ira did resign as Prime Minister back then and only claims the office of the President of the Government of the Lesvan Presidential Republic in exile as his sole position. Colecta likewise resigned as the Speaker of the Carto during the events of the Saela Spring and today's appointment as Vice President of the Council of the President of the Republic of Lesva in exile is his first political office since resigning as Speaker back in the coup days.

This announcement was made today by Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the Honorable Jarren Prica, who made the announcement from a podium before Members of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva, speaking at the Supreme National Carto of the Throngist Republic of Lesva. The Head of Government said that the Head of State would remain in quarantine and under intense care by professionals, who will uphold all quarantine standards to prevent any sort of spread of the fever. The Hdisari Government has started funding PWI.

The PWI [People's Well-being Improvement plan], has begun with Stage 1 of the PWI,
aiming to decrease homelessness and unemployment by building pre-fab apartments for the homeless, free education, building more opportunities for new buisnesses and more job fairs.

The PWI also aims to improve the safety, education, healthcare (including to improve mental health in the nation) and population growth. The plan is predicted to end during late 2025. The plan was created to further expand the economy but to also help the people feel more safe in the nation.

The PWI is for everyone, no matter the nationality, race or anything that makes them different to others.
