On a neutral basis, the Throngist Republic of Lesva begins supplying humanitarian aid to Baumes and its' separatist territory Romancia

Throngist Movement Party of Lesva has decided for the Throngist Republic of Lesva to begin supplying humanitarian aid to both the Republic of Baumes and its' break-away separatist territory Romancia. The Party positions this as a neutral humanitarian effort to human beings on both sides of the conflict with no biases in favor or against one of the parties. New Ambassador of the Throngist Republic of Lesva to The League of The Western Isles, the Honorable Rodi Initiva, said that this was the intension of the Throngist Republic of Lesva in this conflict from the start and the Throngist Republic finally moved forward with realizing this action. At the same time, the Ambassador said that, as previously voiced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the effort and recommendation of the Throngist Republic in this particular conflict was not just for humanitarian aid to begin being supplied to all sides of the conflict, but also for a cease-fire to be achieved and this is what the Lesvan side will be advocating for, including in the League of The Western Isles.

Minister of the Lesvan Throngist Armed Forces, the Honorable Colonel Velar Shrieva, said that the Lesvan Throngist Armed Forces have been instructed to escort the aerial and maritime flow of humanitarian aid to the Republic of Baumes, but without entering the sovereign waters, skies or land territory of the Republic of Baumes. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the Honorable Erso Rediba, expressed hope that both parties would cooperate with the Throngist Republic in the efforts of fair distribution of humanitarian aid and will help make sure that both get an equal share and that the aid would not be appropriated without reaching those, who need it. The Minister also added that the Throngist Republic of Lesva is not ruling out sending doctors to the Baumes-Romancia frontline, like it did to the Luvahira Archipelago and Kravato, but there would need to be discussions begun with Baumes regarding this effort and there would also need to be security guarantees given to the unarmed medical personnel that could potentially travel there.

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the Honorable Jarren Prica, said that the current conflict was a confrontation between a country trying to preserve its' territorial integrity on one side and a national liberation struggle on another side, which only strengthen the Throngist Republic's neutral stance because no party is in the wrong. First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva and Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the United Federation of Gael, the Honorable Taica Berislavić, emphasized that the Throngist Republic of Lesva respected the territorial integrity of the Republic of Baumes and saw Baumes as a valuable partner to the Throngist Republic of Lesva.

Ainslie's Lesvan community enthusiastically welcomes new laws and reforms against foreign interference in Ainslie

Lesvan community in Ainslie is enthusiastically welcoming the newly introduced foreign influence reforms, regulated through the new so-called foreign interference laws in the United Electorates of Ainslie. The government led by Prime Minister Tobi Turrena has begun implementing reforms and programs designed to combat foreign interference with defensive and, if necessary, offensive practices, which many Lesvans of Ainslie see as Ainslie finally taking a stronger stance against outside threats, including Throngist Lesva. Even though the current government announced that these reforms were being considered by the past government of Prime Minister Elliana Gifford, Ainslie's Lesvans are heroically hailing the government of Prime Minister Tobi Turrena for finally taking action and putting it into practice, not being able to protect its' populace, Ainslie's Lesvans included, but also showing strength to rogue states, who are looking for victims in their destabilization efforts.

For a while, Ainslie's Lesvans have been worried about Ainslie maintaining not just a normal relationship with Throngist Lesva, but supposedly expanding cooperation with the Throngist fascist regime in Saela. This flawed foreign policy has been largely attributed to the previous government, which faced all the criticism for cooperating with Throngist Lesva. Ainslie's Lesvans have been calling on the government of Ainslie to take a stance against the Throngist regime and even spearhead an effort to remove the Throngists from power in Lesva by cutting relations, introducing an economic embargo and applying all other kinds of pressure with an effort to isolate an affect Throngist Lesva to forcefully bring about change. However, for the longest time Ainslie's Lesvans felt unheard, as the government of Ainslie seemingly chose not to go the belligerent route. The frustrations of Ainslie's Lesvans took a radical turn, when the Throngist regime's Foreign Minister Erso Rediba made an official visit to Ainslie, which led to largest-ever protests by Ainslie's Lesvans with the community center in Arborai, which is also being called "Little Lesva", being overtaken by the demonstrations. The initially peaceful protests escalated into riots with attempts by the protesters to storm Throngist Lesva's consulate in Arborai.

Now, with the new security reforms against foreign interference, many of Ainslie's Lesvans believe that this could not only signal a start of Ainslie's ascending stronger stance towards Throngist Lesva, without yet deliberately calling the neighboring country out as a potential threat, but that it would also make it more safe for Ainslie's Lesvans to feel like the regime does not have a reach towards them in Ainslie, as Throngist Lesva's agents will now have a more difficult time trying to infiltrate Ainslie with attempts of destabilization, espionage and recruitment among locals.

The approval rating of Prime Minister Tobi Turrena has been rapidly growing among Ainslie's Lesvans since the reforms were announced, with a steady majority stating in various opinion polls that they would vote for Turrena and his party again, if the elections took place now. Many expressed hope that this was just the beginning and that the current government will soon move towards ending diplomatic relations with Throngist Lesva and introducing economic restrictions, while ending all other cooperation with the regime. At the same time, many understand that not all changes will come overnight, which is why the new policy is already being hailed as "enough for now", with hope for more living on. Ainslie's Lesvans at least appreciate the fact that they and their fellow citizens in Ainslie will at least now be able to feel move safe in their current country of residence, which to many is their sole homeland.

Warfburgians killed by Gunfire in Romanica
Two Warfburgian citizens among others have been killed after a gunfire exchange in Romanica. Friends and family have stated that the couple were still in Romanica despite government warnings due to elderly relatives requiring care. Minister for Foreign Affairs Tony Lee issued a travel ban for all Warfburgian passport holders, an unprecedented move to stop all visitors from entering the area. Lee also announced a new program 'to bring Romainican-Warfburgian families back together' by offering free temporary housing for Romanicans with Warfburgian family, with full access to local healthcare, education and other government services. Minister for Aviation Frank Coss has also issued a flight ban within 50km of the conflict zones for passenger safety, applying to all Warfburgian airlines.

A second dispute in Mesder arrives

Ilganis - Tensions had started to arise between Kravato and Vacrus on the ownership of the Yershen island, starting in Vacrusian belligerence towards Kravato on the economic fishing zone established by the latter in the region of Yershen; Vacrusian military was sent to occupy the island as a show to their self-righteous dominion over the islands, Kravato replied by ratifying the condemnation of Vacrus and enacted measures to reject Vacrusian ships in their ports, ban travel to Vacrus, and increase tariffs on exports from Kravato to Vacrus. The Vacrusian Cardinal (Minister) of Maritime Affairs had given a speech in reply to such measures, claiming the immorality of declaring such land as Kravato. When asked for his opinion on the situation, the Minister of Foreign and External Affairs Oibnus Gosztzai answered “Hypocritical holier-than-thou sanctimony.”, Vacrus also issued multiple speeches on the people of Yershen’s acceptance of the Vacrusian dominion over them with no valid evidence excluding the prejudiced speeches themselves.

During the matter, Kravato had attempted to construct naval bases in Nisryn among other nations; three bases were planned to be built, all of which Nisryn had accepted. Nisryn also requested of Kravato the creation of a number of military bases in the latter in order to lessen difficulty in logistics and the transportations of goods.

Azea celebrates Ascension Day

Today Azea is celebrating Ascension Day. Ascension Day is the 40th day of Easter. It occurs 39 days after Easter Sunday. It is a holy day that commemorates Jesus Christ's ascension into heaven. Mass is being held nationwide and all non-essential businesses have shut down.

Ascension Day celebrations include processions symbolizing Christ’s entry into heaven and, chasing a “devil” through the streets and dunking it in a pond or burning it in effigy – symbolic of the Messiah’s triumph over the devil when he opened the kingdom of heaven to all believers.

Cardinal Joseph Pious II has stated that "Jesus' ascension into heaven marks a special occasion. Ascension Day celebrates Christ's exaltation. While on earth, He was a servant. Now in heaven, He is the ruler and Lord of all. By entering heaven as the representative of mankind, He completed the work of our salvation and guaranteed the eventual glorification of all who love Him.

Just as Jesus went up in the clouds, He will return the same way. Luke describes the ascension- "And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, 'Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.'"

There are three things our faithful must remember about Jesus on this day; The ascended and enthroned Christ applies the blessings of salvation, pours out his Spirit on the church, and cares for his suffering people as they bear witness to him.

Mikaere Wilson elected Leader of the Gepriprisian Social Democratic Party

2 Months after Gepriprisian Regional Chancellor Columbine Outlaw announced his resignation as Chancellor and leader of the Gepriprisian Social Democratic Party, the Party has elected Mikaere Wilson, a member of the progressive wing of the party, as the new leader of its party. It is expected that Mr Wilson will be nominated and confirmed within the next few weeks. During the leadership election, Mikaere Wilson ran on a more progressive platform than his predecessor, prioritising issues such as social justice, tackling climate change, protecting jobs, and greater liberalisation. Throughout the leadership election, Mr Wilson advocated for eliminating carbon emissions by 2040, raising the regional minimum wage to 14 thalers an hour, and proposing harsher sentences on hate crime. As a metaphorical kick to the groin of the national government, the new leader has also pledged to repeal 'Stop and Search', allowing police officers to stop and search anyone without the permission of a high-ranking officer, which would also repeal the law in Huonia in accordance with the Federal Act 1903.

At the Supreme National Carto of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, Members of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva have voted to create a brand new government department - Ministry of Gaeltic Affairs and Integration of the Throngist Republic of Lesva. President of the Supreme National Carto of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the Honorable Cuvar Abeli, announced that the vote for creating the new government department had successfully passed with support from Party Members. Following this announcement, Members of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva applauded the decision. The new ministry would solely be dedicated to the affairs and integration within the United Federation of Gael comprised of the Throngist Republic of Lesva and the Federation of Balnik, with its' extent potentially expanding in case of new integrational projects emerging in Gael. SSA sanctions against "war-sponsors"

Every day new informations are surfacing regarding the Baumish-Romancian Conflict, which has held the Western Isles in its grip for a few months now. As the conflict is yet to be settled and the baumish invasion of Romancia is continuing, with several other foreign nations now getting involved, the Southern Sea Alliance has now constructed a sanction package to further the pressure on the two parties to finally settle this conflict diplomatically.
Aware of the fact that trade between Baumes and the SSA is rather small, due to the baumish main export product being gas and oil for which the Alliance has rather less use for, the sanction package targets so called "war-sponsoring" individuals of baumish, as well as romancian decent. Targeting both parties at the same time, the Alliance made sure to stay neutral by furthering the pressure on the individuals who have proven to have supported the war financially and/or are profiting through it by selling their products, which are intended to be used in combat. The following sanctions are now in place:

1. Financial Sanctions: The SSA will freeze every individuals financial assets immediately. That goes for money located in SSA member nations banks, as well as bank lock boxes. Restrictions on investment and financial services are to be put in place for said individuals. Already in-place investments will be evaluated by the SSA and are potentially to be sold off, should this be in the public interest or should the investment loose its value under the sanctions.

2. Immigration Sanctions: All existing visa of said individuals will be revoked immediately. A stay in the SSA will no longer be possible. For individuals in the SSA currently there is a grace period to leave SSA Territory before the prosecution sets in, ending at 23:59 on the 23rd of May 2023.

3. Transportation Sanctions: The movement of any ships or aircraft owned by said individuals and currently on SSA Territory is forbidden. The ground stop goes in effect immediately. Individuals currently in the SSA may use one (or their only) transportation option to get out of SSA Territory. An exemption form is to requested from the SSA and shall be dealt with with urgency seeing the small timeframe set by the Immigration Sanctions.

4. Trade Sanctions: Sanctions include trade of any kind, such as the import, export, transfer, movement, making available or acquisition of goods and technology, the provision or procurement of services related to goods and technology and the provision or procurement of certain other non-financial services.

The SSA has also made it clear that these sanctions are temporary, with an immediate stop should the conflict be settled. The intend on the sanction is quite clear: Put more pressure on the parties by possibly forcing "war-sponsors" to seize their funding.

The SSA has now made use of their reserved right to impose sanctions should the conflict continue or even worsen. As the war is still ongoing, it was merely a matter of time for the SSA to decide how exactly said sanctions would look like. A move against individuals might seem unfair for the individuals themselves, but their war-funding has made them the perfect target to further the pressure on the parties. With less financial support a diplomatic solution becomes more attractive, which is exactly the goal of the SSA.

Today, on 8 AM, the pope of Vacrus, His Majesty, Priest Aurotimus VI, was giving a speech about it's war declaration towards Kravato.

"My fellow countrymen, today I'm going to speech about the current situation about our rivalry with Kravato, and our response towards their king death, along with our war declaration to them."

"Today, we declared war against the immoral nation of Kravato, these Kravatoans have killed our soldiers in the borders, resulting in the death of 8 people and a few wounded as a result from their marksman shooting at our soldier in the nearby borders. As a response, we will embargo their nation as a whole, and encouraged nations across TWI to do the same."

"These Kravatoans have break their own rules, which is, they will never cross past the 1623 line, the border of both the Vacrus owned territory of Yershen Island and the Kravatoan owned territory of Yershen Island. This is a sign of war, something in which they did, and blamed us for it. There is no legitimate proof to say otherwise, everything they said was just a thing they made up as a excuse to go war with us."

"Kravato does the exact opposite of what they said, they oppressed their own citizen, take their rights, and being a corrupt state after all. All they can do was saying dumb stuff that have no logic and proof behind them, and yet people still believes Kravato, even if it was already very obvious. "Their king death was deserved, he was a corrupt king and brainwashed his own people, and yet he still receives all the love he doesn't deserve. The Sapli Fever is a karma for what he did, and this is a action from God to end his corruption. The Kravatoans doesn't deserve people like him, instead, they should deserved a king that was both smart and kind, and the answer for that is Vacrusians. Vacrusians are both smart and kind, it is a perfect choice as their kings as a whole, all they deserve was a Vacrusian king, not some corrupt Kravatoans. Do not be sad towards his death, instead be happy for his death. Vacrus have a few people that can be the king of Kravato, and they will even be a better king than the Kravatoans, all they needed to do was give up, and they will be given a both smart and kind king."

Today, at 8 am Vacrusian time, the Pope of Vacrus declared war on Kravato. He disparaged our King, our people, and our claims to our territory. He discredited our factual information, and sent his armies and legions to our territories. They intend on taking Iersheno, and we as a proud people cannot let that happen. As a writer, I have to give my honest opinion. It is time for all-out war.

Our Prime Minister, Sandro Burkas, had this to say.

“It is not with joy, nor excitement that I bring this announcement. Neither is it with fear or shame. War, as a societal function, brought when necessary, is the greatest thing a people can do. A quote of King Palapo II. Palapo knew, when he fought his war, that bloodshed was the only way to protect his people, just as I acknowledge now.”

“Today, the people of Iersheno are in fear. Since the 1850s, they have been living as Kravatoan citizens, enjoying the religious, civil, and political rights Kravatoans enjoy. These belligerent actions by Vacrus serve to strip them of these fundamental rights, and some may call Iersheno a pointless island, but every person counts.”

“We are still in mourning of his majesty today. And, Vacrus has taken advantage of our loss, our early friendliness to them, and our peaceful nature to further their claims on our land. If we do not respond to this aggression, we signal that they can continue their invasion of our land.”

“And an invasion it is! This is no troop movement. Their troops cannot be moved into our land. The Vacrusians know what they are doing, and we cannot sacrifice our bases or towns in Iersheno for the sake of a one-way peace that they do not respect.”

“The Vacrusian government may say it doesn’t want war. When they say this, what they truly mean is that they would prefer to take Iersheno with no resistance. I, nor we Kravatoans seek to conquer Vacrusian Iersheno. When I ask the Forum to declare war on Vacrus, I ask for the defense of the subjects of our government in Kravato, who have had their rights deprived in recent times, the rights of Kravatoans to freely move throughout Kravato, and the rights of Kravatoans to work in the entirety of Kravato. And, in saying this, I hereby formally request that the Forum of Kravato declare war upon Vacrus.”

RESPONSE TO WAR DECLARATION

The events of war have brought action and tension throughout the Kravatoan Armed Forces. The KAF has initiated sorties over Iersheno as of today and has fully transferred the 2nd KAF Air Wing to Iersheno Air Base. As for the military, soldiers from the 5th, 1st, and 2nd Motorized Brigades have been sent to Iersheno. They will defend the island along with the 3rd, 8th, and 21st Brigades already there.

The Navy has launched operations from the island, reportedly targeting Vacrusian military vessels and Vacrusian vessels carrying necessary resources for war. The RKS King Mishba II has left harbor in Kaplo, with the rest of its Patrol. This aircraft carrier may launch attacks on Vacrusian soil from its surrounding seas. Defense Minister Jovan Etanolo said this when requested to comment:

"Kravato is a proud nation. We will respond to this invasion quickly and will not stop until Vacrus abandons its claims to our land. For now, compatriots, you must stay safe, stay vigilant, and stay strong. These Vacrusians have said such evil things about us, our king, and the unfortunate victims of the Sapli fever. Remember this travesty when people question why we fight instead of seeking an impossible peace."

Throngist Movement Party of Lesva has appointed an official that would head the Government's brand new department of the Ministry of Gaeltic Affairs and Integration of the Throngist Republic of Lesva. At the Supreme National Carto of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, Members of the Party voted for the appointment of the Honorable Viktor Kovac as the Minister of Gaeltic Affairs and Integration of the Throngist Republic of Lesva. Viktor Kovac was personally nominated by First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva and Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the United Federation of Gael, the Honorable Taica Berislavić. Prior to the appointment vote, the Head of State arrived personally to address the Members of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva from a podium and encourage them to vote in favor of the appointment of the Head of State's personal nominee. After the Head of State spoke, the nominee then followed-up with the address to the Party from the podium. After both addresses, President of the Supreme National Carto of the Throngist Republic of Lesva Cuvar Abeli invited the fellow Party Members to vote. In the end, it was declared that the Party Members voted in favor of the appointment with a similar result to the one that led to the approval of the creation of the Ministry of Gaeltic Affairs and Integration of the Throngist Republic of Lesva in the first place. Dissidents question the Throngist regime's true motives in Baumes and Romancia

After the Throngist dictatorship in Lesva announced that it would be sending humanitarian aid to Baumes and its' separatist territory Romancia, as well as the regime having suggested it would not rule out sending its' doctors to that frontline, Lesvan dissidents abroad have begun questioning the dictatorship's motives. Primarily, these suspicions come from the fact that Lesvan dissidents have announced the formation of volunteer militia forces to fight for the independence of Romancia. This immediately came into conflict with the claim by the Throngist dictatorship that it would not support either side in the conflict and would instead send aid to both parties for solely humanitarian reasons. The fascist dictatorship's brutality and humanitarian causes are already two things in opposition to each other and the regime's announcement that it would remain unbiased in the conflict, when one of the parties is supported by an armed Lesvan opposition against the other party, is likewise something that does not appear like it would remain ignored by the dictatorship. Dissident analysts have suggested that since Lesvan dissident volunteers would be fighting for Romancia, then by default the regime should side with Baumes not out of a genuine wish to help Baumes, but to instead terminate an armed Lesvan opposition force on the Baumes-Romancia frontline, so that those volunteers do not evolve into an actual militia that could somehow be capable of threatening the Throngist regime one day. Therefore, with the regime's behavior not making sense from the point of view of their cunning interest, many are suggesting that a conspiracy is present and that the humanitarian mission might be a cover-up by the regime with the actual purpose of starting a hunt against Lesvan volunteer militia in Romancia to prevent the creation of actual armed Lesvan opposition, which had the opportunity to train their military skills on the fields of Romancia before potentially taking one the Throngists later on. However, this hypothesis is not supported by any actual evidence so far.

President re-iterates Renetian neutrality in Baumish-Romancian War

In recent weeks, a pair of leading opposition politicians has called on President Nanney to recognize Romancian independence and militarily intervene on their behalf against Baumes. Assembly Opposition Alexandria Fowler pushed for Renetian recognition of Romancian independence and military intervention on their behalf on the floor of the Assembly, while former Prime Minister Michael Harris and defeated 2022 NPC presidential nominee gave a speech in favor of such ideas from his home in Logan. In response, President Nanney has re-iterated that Renet will remain neutral in the conflict with this press statement:

"As the Foreign Minister stated not long ago, Renet will remain neutral in the Baumish-Romancian War. We have to remain impartial in thought and deed, which is why my administration has banned the sale of arms to either side in this conflict. It is up to them and their respective allies to decide how this conflict ends. This is not our fight."

The Foreign Minister affirmed Nanney's statement, and Prime Minister Hall expressed his desire to maintain peace in Renet. It seems that, at least for now, Renet will remain neutral in the conflict.

WAR IN KRAVATO: Molona reacts to Vacrusian invasion of neighbor

MOLONA- Earlier today, Vacrus officially declared war on the Kingdom of Kravato over a dispute in the island of Yershen. The reaction in the capital has been swift, with Prime Minister Erkani giving a press conference saying that, "This is an attack on the self-determination of the people of Yershen, it is an attack against Kravato and its people, and it is an affront to the ideals of peace held by civilized nations." Erkani promised aid for Kravato, including economic and military aid. Erkani convened the Cabinet and International Policy Council to discuss a response.

Erkani also proposed a slate of sanctions against Vacrus into the Purugera, the nation's parliament, today. These would include restrictions on trade with Vacrus, freezing any Vacrusian assets in Bavarno, and banning any Vacrusian government official not on official duties from entering the country. The restrictions on trade would include any sort of element that could be used in manufacturing weapons, which in practice prohibits the export of many materials. The freezing of assets would only apply to state-owned assets, and not to Vacrusian citizens.

The coalition in the Purugera issued their support for Kravato's struggle against Vacrus, along with most of the other non-coalition parties, including the Conservatives, Socialists, Communists, and Nationalists. Notably absent were the Christian Democrats, who have largely supported a pro-Vacrusian foreign policy due to ideological similarity.

War in Argus – Barbaros Responds

The seas of Argus have once again been plunged into conflict today as the fundamentalist Catholic regime of Vacrus declared war against our neighbors, the Kingdom of Kravato. While tensions between the two nations have been simmering beneath the surface for several years over the jointly controlled island of Iersheno, there had been little indication that the Vacrusians were prepared to engage in armed hostilities with the Kravatoans.

Propaganda outlets of the Vacrusian regime have claimed that Kravatoan forces violated the border on the island of Iersheno, although no independent sources have been able to verify this. In a barely coherent speech in the capital of Huerna, Aurotimus, the dictator of Vacrus, claimed that they would be sending 8,000 soldiers to the island and were prepared to bomb Kravatoan cities and engage in a campaign of terror against high-ranking officials of the Kravatoan state. The pariah state has already been placed under severe economic sanctions by many other nations across the Western Islands, and this flagrantly illegal act will undoubtedly further isolate the state from the international community.

Kravato has been in possession of the territory of Iersheno since 1850, with the inhabitants of the territory across the border speaking the Kravatoan language and identifying with the democratic customs of the nation, rather than the fundamentalist brutality forced upon the Vacrusians. In Tuxernobli, the Kravatoan Prime Minister claimed they would not hesitate to defend the people of Kravatoan Iersheno and have put together a task force to repel the Vacrusian invasion. The archipelago nation was already in a state of grief after the recent untimely passing of their monarch. The actions of Huerna will undoubtedly test and demonstrate the resolve and strength of the proud Kravatoan people in defending their territory from foreign aggression.

An emergency session of the Grand Conclave was held today in Barbaros in response to the invasion. Press Secretary and Conclave Spokeswoman Polly Máilles reported that the Conclave had issued an official condemnation of Vacrus' actions and had ordered the ejection of approximately 70% of all Vacrusian diplomatic personnel stationed in the Tsunterlands, including the Vacrusian ambassador. They have also advised all Tsunter citizens living in Vacrus to return to the Tsunterlands before the border is closed in 48 hours. The Grand Conclave has opened up diplomatic channels with the Kravatoans, with Máilles stating, "The Tsunterlands intends to provide all necessary support required to contain the evil of Vacrusian religious fundamentalism within its own borders." Unconfirmed reports are also stating that members of the Tsunter Defence Organization stationed along the border with Vacrus have been put on high alert.

Councillor in scandal after failing to honour promises to award government contracts to nephew-in-law
Councillor Gaun Erisdanys of the Grand Conclave has been accused of breaking a promise to award a maritime transportation contract to Bonnie Maritime Industries. The accusations were made by Sandy Bonnie, the brother of Erisdanys' daughter-in-law, Polly, through the social media app Twitter. Many already believe that these accusations will severely damage the Councillor's political reputation.

The contract, valued at around 5.5 million Poundsilver (1.2 million USD), involves the upgrading and maintenance of a fleet of thirty Cargo Rigs responsible for transporting materials mined in the Big Hook to foundries on the Little Hook across Tsunter Bay. Previously, this work was carried out by a government-run shipyard in Ganguard. However, the government now believes that the yard is insufficient to meet the growing domestic shipping needs of the Tsunterlands. Several shipping cooperatives submitted bids for the contract, but after a lengthy review process, the government decided to award the contract to a construction company partially owned by the city of Ganguard and partially owned by the Ganguard Clan Holding Company. The company will expand the existing shipyard to meet the requirements.

Sandy Bonnie, a bande-clan captain of the Bonnie Clan, claims that Councillor Erisdanys, who held the transportation portfolio, verbally promised to ensure that the contract would be awarded to Bonnie Maritime Industries, owned by Sandy's uncle and Clan Chief, Thorny Bonnie. Sandy's sister, Polly, married Gaun's eldest son, Dartyman Erisdanys, two years ago, shortly after Sandy was put in charge of a foreign aid relief effort in North Mesder. On May 22nd of this year, Sandy made the following statement on Twitter: "The country should know that #GRANDCONCLAVE #COUNCILLOR Gaun cares little about honoring promises. Think carefully before making any deals with him in the future." He followed it up with another statement: "People should remember that I know things. Things that could hurt potential #CLANHEIRS." Speculation suggests that this could be a reference to Gaun's son, Dartyman, who is believed to be the next in line to succeed Gaun as Chief of the Erisdanys clan.

Responding to the accusations, a spokesman for Councillor Gaun issued the following statement: "The Councillor takes any accusation that he fails to honor his agreements, especially those involving family ties, very seriously. He is currently preparing legal action against Mr. Bonnie's libelous claims. No such agreement between the Councillor and Mr. Bonnie ever existed. The decision regarding the contract was made after a year of research and investigation, and the government emphasizes that it made the best available choice." The spokesman also denied any claims that the decision was influenced by a recent donation to Councillor Gaun's re-election fund by the Ganguard Clan Holding Company.

Despite these denials, the accusations made by someone so closely connected to the Councillor could have a significant impact on his political reputation.

Reservists Protest the end of Conscription

Following the announcement of the Doman Armed Forces ending the practice of conscription during peace time, over 12,000 conscripts signed up for early re-enlistment with the promises of preferential deployment and debt cancellation. However, with over 500,000 troops still in the reserves, many have begun to protest the decision and its rapid time frame.

The armed forces provided compensation for reservists at around 33% of their active duty monthly salary while in the reserves. This averages out to between $200-400 a month, and for many reservists acted as a basic income while living as a civilian. With the new act, the 500,000 reservists would lose their income over the next 2 years. Groups have organized and issued formal protests to the Reservist Affairs Office, asking the armed forces and the Doman government to either extend the period, or allow the payments to continue until their time in the reservists would have normally ended.

The armed forces have not commented on this situation yet, however many congressmen who have long supported a Universal Basic Income system have spoken up and have spoken on behalf of the troops and used it as a platform to push their UBI program. These same congressmen are documented to have supported the end of conscription and the end of reservist pay. Despite that, many political groups have begun organizing for an official UBI program to be instituted.

Start of the Street Food Festival

On May 22nd, 2023 the city government of Shoropupan announced the beginning of the annual street food festival to a crowd of 2,000 people.

This small town of only 13,000 people hosts a very popular religious festival every year to celebrate the day that the god Híneu supposedly blessed the founder of the ancient Doman empire with longevity. To many believers, it is also the day of a lunar eclipse recorded in ancient texts and revolves around the belief that Kísheuyowo, goddess of magic and dragons, would return to slay her father Híneu during a lunar eclipse.

For most others though, while there is cultrual significance to this day, it is mostly a day for festivities. The township of Shoropupan is famous for its traditional market and street food. Hundreds of shops and vendors set up in and around the small town in preparation for an influx of tourists from all over to visit the town for the next week. The festival is one of the largest in the country, with an average 30,000 visitors every year over the 7 day festival.

The festival has been praised as "An excellent showcase of Doman culture and culinary arts" and "The best tasting festival anywhere". We remind all visitors to mind standard safety procedures and to listen to festival officials.

Pagala Ira is set to meet with several high-level executives of the Nuranto International Banking Corporation (NIBC), Chairman of the International Society of Democratic Movements (ISDM) Derick Saunders, CEO of the LDA Group and a few unmentioned private citizens, who might be influential figures with access to the government and even the monarchy of Belantica. First Secretary of the Throngist Movement Party of Lesva and Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the United Federation of Gael, the Honorable Taica Berislavić, the Head of State, has called up the emergency meeting dedicated to discussing on what action should the Throngist Republic of Lesva take over Kravato becoming a target for military action from the side of Vacrus. Minister-Secretary General of the Presidium and Political Bureau of the State Realm of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the Honorable Crisi Ghaném, offered for the Presidium and Political Bureau of the State Realm to host this meeting, having provided the framework and arena for the hosting of past special security and emergency meetings. Minister of Health of the Throngist Republic of Lesva, the Honorable Egra Visataio, who is likewise in attendance of the special meeting at the State Realm, stated earlier that the Throngist Republic had a special evacuation plan for Lesvan medical professionals developed even prior to their initial deployment to Kravato and it could be implemented in the case of emergency situations. Minister of Foreign Affairs Erso Rediba additionally added that the Throngist Republic hopes the war would not escalate and that Vacrus would not be advancing deep into Kravato with a large attack or invasion for senseless destruction, while also adding that the Throngist Republic was prepared for a parallel humanitarian mission in regards to the current war, unrelated to the medical mission related to Sapli Fever in Kravato. The Minister of Foreign Affairs added that the Throngist Republic was neutral in the conflict between Vacrus and Kravato, calling for a cease-fire, de-escalation and peace talks.

Polls: Former President Njomo Gains Support for 2024 Election

Former President Patrice Abebe Njomo has risen in popularity as a likely contender for the presidency, once again, in 2024. President Njomo maintained his office for 15 years from 2004 to 2019, when he was defeated by the current President Maxime Zubele. However despite this setback, RKT polling suggests that the former president's support base has not only held on after 2019, but actually grown in number.

The Royal Kessa Times conducted a poll in order to ascertain preliminary levels of support for likely 2024 candidates. While the results did confirm that President Maxime Zubele is still the favorite, they also showed that the former president is even more of a threat to Zubele now than in 2019, and remains relatively close behind. According to RKT analyst Liza Pukoto, "President Zubele's lead may not be insurmountable in the next 12-14 months." One key factor will be how Martenyikans perceive their former president's legacy.

President Patrice Njomo was elected in 2003, one of the fledgling Martenyikan republic's finest hours. He inherited a nation on the verge of another widespread civil war, as the ongoing Hazhariland War threatened to spill over into eastern Martenyika, and as reigning President Robert Ebanda was deposed. Nonetheless, President Njomo assumed power in 2004 and immediately began healing the nation, promoting national unity and bringing an end to the war. He advocated for the preservation of Martenyika's cultures and history, and economic revitalization, especially in wartorn areas. However his final term (2014-2019) in particular saw a drop in support, which culminated in his defeat in August of 2019.

The former president's legacy has been reevaluated in a more positive light since 2019, when President Zubele and his supporters often panned Njomo as weak and ineffectual. This reevaluation may be at least partly responsible for Njomo's enhanced support, but it remains to be seen if this support lasts, especially as more candidates are expected to challenge President Maxime Zubele in the next year.

Armistice signed

Today, what remained of the Parliament-as most members have either been purged or fled the country-has agreed to a Armistice Deal from Scata, in which Scata gains a mostly indenpendent government of itself, and is allowed to interact with regional governments.
The Federation however will keep the southern coast of Scata occupied to connect the Federal Land of Nova with the rest of the Federation.
Although the Parliament claims to have won the entire war, Scata is rather to be awarded with victory. But, especially in the southern Parts of Scata and in Yaketarinbourgh, villages and buildings remain in poor condition. The Scatish "President" has promised to take care of national welfare first, but no actions had been taken yet.
The peoples liberation army of Geristokia barely got the victory they claim, loosing countless lives-both civilian and militarian-, and priceless so called "mastered engineered" tanks and planes. There will likely be many reforms to bring the military up to date and repell more of these insurgents.
