Ihre Informationen presents: Finalization of Dickformenn Cinema

"Built on the site of the Polytheama cinema, Cine Dickformenn Theater was inaugurated. The beginning of the works was in 1938, after the demolition of the Polytheama. It was 20 years of reform until its first inauguration, on March 26, 1958. The delay occurred for reasons that were never clarified.

KONA, in the matter of the journalist Ottomeier Fonner, followed the delayed expectation around the inauguration of the Cine Dickformenn. At the time, the inauguration of the space was attended by select public of the society of Ceará, including Mr. Latke Otako, responsible for the construction of Cine Teatro.
But there was a difference between the audience that participated in the first opening and its reopening. On the inauguration day, in 1958, the 1,200 seats at the Cine Teatro were sold for Cr $ 200,00 (two hundred cruzeiros), each of which was returned to the Saint Bermud and the Alberto Le'more Asylum."

Now the re-inauguration was marked by the presence of the 900 guests of the Royal Hoffman House and had the free distribution of 150 tickets for the general population. In addition to the screening of the film The Great Forgotten Knights, the reopening ceremony was attended by the concert of the Eleazar Orchestra.

CEO of Lefora Denouces Fake News Out Of Covonant

A recent article by the CBC claims that it has sourced a document, from an undisclosed source, that details unethical actions by powerful people and companies around the region.

A major part of the first round of leaks is against the Xrevaran corporation DuFurma, stating that the company "Was under contract to develop and store chemical weaponry for the state." Along with that the document alleges that "The company ran multiple unconfirmed R&D operations with intent to sell to Rotterfield Systems of Vancouvia and Lefora of Polar Svalbard." Overall this means that the document allegedly has proof that the Svalbardian company Lefora assisted DuFurma in R&D operations in the development and storage of chemical weapons in return for special kickbacks.

Quickly after these documents were released the CEO of Lefora, in an attempt to be quicker than public backlash, released a statement that Lefora would not help out-of-state actors develop weapons of mass destruction and that the she is appalled that the CBC would release fake news in order to sow discontent in nations around the region. She stated that it is not impossible that the new Covonantian administration would use whatever means necessary to spread Covonantian influence and try to muscle in on other nations' economies. In the multiple page release the CEO cited Svalbardian government inspectors that signed off on all operations that involved chemicals that the company was taking part in.

Currently we are conducting our own investigation into this, so until we have our information we will not take sides in this. It is unknown how the Svalbardian government will respond to this as both the offices of the Consuls have not issued a press release on the report by the CBC.

Crackdowns on Protests in Wake Atolla

News coming out of our affiliates suggests that Svalbardian military forces in Wake Atolla broke up a protest in Wake Atolla which injured multiple protestors and sent many to the hospitals for hypothermia as water canons were used in winter conditions.

Due to the release of the Arun Valley Protocal and the Svalbardian Government rebuking the release, multiple First-Wave Peoples across Polar Svalbard have been protesting the government. These protestors are most harsh in the occupied areas of the Wake Isles where tensions are already high between the indigenous people and the Svalbardian military. Already since the New Year five protests have been broken up, and of those five protests, three had involved property damage and had injuries. Today's protest was the largest one of the New Year yet, and involved hundreds of people and featured a two hour military-police and protestor stand off. Tensions were ignited when one of the protestors hurled a Molotov cocktail at military lines.

With that police cleared out the protestors using water canons, tear gas, and bean-bag guns. Over a hundred protestors were arrested and many more were sent to the hospitals in the area as sub-freezing conditions meant that many suffered from the effects of hypothermia.

For now it is unknown how the territorial governance will handle these protests but it is likely that we will continue to have reports like this in the coming weeks.

| President Leeman Congratulates President Canone of San Jimenez Election Victory |

As recent news in San Jimenez, Lucas Canone had became inaugurated as the President of San Jimenez once more, and will serve the nation for the next seven years. It was the beginning week of December 2017, Head of State President Leeman, would make his final state visit of the year to meet the young President Canone of San Jimenez, in the first Yorrkon - San Jimenez state meeting. Cameras had stood outside the airport terminal awaiting the capture of the momentous occasion. A month later, President Leeman appears to still be delighted with the lasting impression made between the two, in regards to his latest remarks after the Jimenean Presidential Election victory:

"The ending month of 2017 finished the last state visit of the year with President Canone. I’m grateful to say that I have him as a new partner. We've got a common outlook on what our nations can achieve together here in the Eterna. He campaigned on a message of change and productivity. His positive and optimistic vision is inspiring young people as himself. I look forward to the year of 2018, and aspire that relations between our two nations will continue to grow with cooperation."

Williamson tabs Federalist Party Leader as Deputy Prime Minister
Image

Incoming Prime Minister Williamson has began the formation of his government administration, picking Marcus Wangxi, leader of the Orsandian Federalist Party, as his Deputy Prime Minister. "We are thrilled to have Wangxi join the new government, and be a part of a changing Orsandia for the better." Williamson's transition team stated. The selection of Wangxi highlights a desire by Williamson to "bridge the partisan divide" in order to continue building Orsandia into a "influential nation". This comes amid the collapse of the coalition government as the center-right Conservatives were beset by internal corruption and revelations of collusion between senior party members and foreign entities. Williamson has pledged to have the matter investigated to the "fullest capacity possible" and to clear Orsandia of political corruption. Interestingly enough, Wangxi was among the few within the previous coalition to vocally support expanding the international influence of Orsandia, breaking from the non interventionist and relatively pacifist doctrine adopted by the Yxngzhao government. Such a choice for a deputy Prime Minster allows for Williamson to reach out directly to apprehensive moderates to support him, but also grants Williamson a political mandate to act upon campaign promises.

Frequent allusions to building influence internationally through "free trade, honest social progress, and promotion of liberal democracy" have drawn heavy criticism and uneasiness from the international community, especially as Williamson appeared to lash out at other countries for "treating Orsandia as an non-factor" in Isles affairs, and chided media as being "mouthpieces" of international interests. Government officials across Gael have rebuked the designate Prime Minister, with a prominent official in one country blasting Williamson for "dangerous expansionist and populistic desires" and "jeopardizing the relative peace enjoyed in Gael and good relations held between Yxngzhao's government and other nations across the Isles."

Renaut declares a ‘moral renewal’ in Keverai:
Kevara, Keverai

Renaut, Chief Consul of Keverai, has given a speech to the people of Keverai just outside of Kevara Gardens today. It was a prolific speech, one detailing ‘moral renewal’ and a change in the Keveraite identity.

It comes only days after several documents were leaked detailing the information of several offshore entities with ominous and dishonest links to Keverai from many individuals and nations across the isles.

The speech has been described by many as a last ditch attempt by Keverai’s newly elected Chief Consul to salvage Keverai’s international reputation, as well as his own domestic political position. The revelations has no doubt caused anger and disappointment in Keverai, which has obviously taken its toll on the new leader’s first short months in office.

Despite this, his speech remained like that of many political speeches: luxuriant in language, but lacking greatly in substance or actual policymaking action to tackle the problem at hand.

The statement started tame and solemn. It contained little reference to the leaks, but instead spoke of Keverai’s deeply conservative past. Renaut said he understood the importance of tradition and unchanging values to the Keveraite identity, and that this element was especially important for the stability of Keverai’s conventional and completely orthodox functioning as a sovereign state. He nevertheless stated that the line between provenly stable methods and old-fashioned rigidity was dangerously thin, and that that line had to be clearly drawn in order to ensure Keverai remains in sync with the rest of the world in terms of currency of methods and reliability.

By that, Renaut was probably signalling towards a more open, less inelastic administration that will give way to international accountability - a ‘new era’ for Keverai. Some have reacted to this statement negatively, accusing the Chief Consul of destroying Keverai’s historically conservative values for the sake of international commiseration. On the other hand, the overwhelming majority of critics welcomed Renaut’s words, no matter how lacklustre they may be. To those people, a country acting in accordance with its international obligations was a country to be proud of. For those advocating for this school of thought, Renaut’s words are signal for an era in which Keverai finally comes in tune with the modern, civilised values of the Western Isles.

Renaut also made a point to speak fondly of the Western Isles as a great region, and about how Keverai fits ‘beautifully’ into this perfectly fitting jigsaw puzzle of democracy, equality and community, values which Renaut was intent on being reflected in Keveraite society. He echoed the views of many in the region, as he spoke of the State of Keverai’s never ending support for democracy - in the ability of people to vote for a government that is for, of and by the people; or their belief in equality - that all peoples should be equal to their fellow human - whether it be the complete lack of slavery or torture of or by their fellow humans, in all its forms, including fair work and the absence of abuse and exploitation by the ‘1%’; and the belief that the qualities of democracy and equality combined would create the harmonious community of people and nations that generations of humans could only dream of.

Moving from his praise of Keverai’s past and slowly emerging present, Renaut spoke positively of Keverai’s future, as he was certain that the only way for the people of Keverai to move in the future was in a similar fashion to the moral conscience of society - forward. He promised that this renewed societal conscience for his small but great country would ensure all the values he previously mentioned, especially that of equality and a compassionate community, safeguarded by strong democracy, would hold strong and true, now, and in the years to come.

Keverai will therefore, continue to lead the world by its example.

While Renaut did not make direct mentions of the leaks, his prolific speech may still be viewed as a thinly veiled attempt by the government of Keverai to say that they are actually doing something regarding the current leaks, and to prevent such a dishonourable event from plaguing Keverai again.

'SWEATSHOPS' IN KEVERAI EXPOSED

The Gael Live Blog - remembered for its recent release of information regarding the Oster activities in San Javier - now states that, according to information obtained by anonymous sources, large corporations in Keverai have been operating 'sweatshops' across the state.

"The details point to some troubling CSR and human rights abuses," a spokesman for the blog said to FNN earlier today, "and Keverai seems to spit in the face of everyone by allowing this to happen." This reveal by Gael Live comes only a few hours after Chief Consul of Keverai spoke of a 'moral renewal', in light of the CBC's report on corruption and fraud involving Keverai.

FNN was able to contact individuals in Keverai, which will not be named, and verify some of these claims. "This is very true," a worker in one of these 'sweatshops' said, "conditions are terrible and we don't get a lot, but in many places that's all we have." He further explained that the large corporations that run these factories make sure, through lobbying and illegal activities, that there would be no competition and that the steady supply of workers would keep coming.

When asked about the conditions in the factories, the unnamed worker began crying. "We work hard all day with only one five minute break, and it feels like being in a boot camp." He requested not to quote his specific examples of punishments the workers receive when they break simple rules, like running in the production floor. "I don't want anyone in the factory to know I spoke about it," he added. Other workers refused to answer questions.

Some of the factories mentioned in the detailed report and in FNN's conversation with the worker are located close to Hivere in Keverai. Attempts to get a response from managers of these factories were met with denial and threats of lawsuits.

Lhre Informationen presents: Parents save up to 80% at book fairs

The purchase of school supplies is already moving the trade of Schlossweiß (Whitecastle) and weighing in the family budget. For the purchase of books, more expensive items on the list, many parents look for fairs to exchange and buy used copies and save up to 80%. The traditional Heiligerworlfadalbert festival is one of the most sought after options and is already in the 25th edition. This year, more than 21 thousand copies are offered, distributed in 70 boxes. It began on Tuesday, February 2, and runs until February 28, running from Sunday to Sunday.

"In times of economic crisis, used is the best option," says the chairman of the Bookkeepers Association and coordinator of Heiligerworlfadalbert, Mayebeer Aeltheawerd Hoffsburg. According to him, consumers usually save on average 60%, and can reach 80% of discount.

The seller Eudene Friederica, 53, has participated in the 25 editions of the Fair used in the Square of the Lions. With the box "Friederica", it offers more than 300 books, ranging from Infant I to 9th grade. She notes that the demand for used books has been increasing.

Tips

For a safe purchase, Mayebeer recommends a few steps: look for registered booksellers; go directly to the stands and find out who the owners of the boxes are; ask to stamp the books to enable the exchange; and pick up the phone from whom you are buying or trading.

Bullying gets worse for Athara Magarati students in Townside schools

NEW LIBANG

"My name is Temur and my surname has -hang suffix and I believe that is the reason people think I am future terrorist or something." Temur Yonghang says, revealing that he gets tormented at school.

"Things got worse after our history class taught us about Timur of Athara Magarat and the atrocities he committed. What's more, Timur or Temur is the most common Khas-Kirati name and some terrorists have the same name I do. But that does not mean I am them," added the ninth grader referring to Athara Magarati warlord Timur Buduja who is infamous for the bloody Anti-West Revolt and whose ideals of pan-Isles resistance against African, Asian and European settlers became the basis of extremist ideology implemented by SHOCK. Temur Yonghang's family emigrated to Townside in 2001 and he was born in the island but that has not made him safe from bullies who accuse him of being a 'future terrorist'.

On the New Year's day, 9 members of SHOCK had taken 18 teenagers on a rented yacht as hostage; demanding a separate Ipachi state in Townside. Although Grand Prince Zackery Carlisle led 3 SAS soldiers and 3 Townsider Marines to a successful rescue mission that left 7 of the terrorists dead, there was a massive outcry as Athara Magarati flags were burned in Ipachi Village, live footage showed Townsider students harassing Athara Magarati students in various schools and the University of Townside and Townsiders taking to the social media to blast Athara Magarat for 'hosting terrorists'.

The government of Athara Magarat has condemned the 'cowardly hostage taking act' of SHOCK and maintained a neutral stance by keeping silence, although opposition parties in Athara Magarat pointed out the flag-burning case.

"As if we have the money to spend on some lunatics in foreign countries than on actual problems like war aftermath reconstruction, taking back Athara Magarati refugees and Bhikkustani asylum seekers..." Jrm Hangma said when she was approached by the media on the issue.

"Of the estimated 30-40 million Khas-Kiratis across the Isles, only around 2 million live in our country. And I can assure you that those 2 million people have other jobs to do after a recent war than going on an expensive tour, wielding a gun and shouting the Yellow Dragon's name." King RIng Hang, a member of the Divan-i-Magarati said. "Look at the blatant discrimination and ignorance shown by them [Townsiders]. What good has the flag-burning done to them than on climate change. Nice job there, Townsiders. And I hear Polar Svalbard has some issues related to the First Wave peoples. Maybe these high acting nations who accuse us of hosting terrorists should start looking at themselves and their problems than pointing their fingers at others. Our country is being made a scapegoat for their problems. As a member of the Divan, I have the information that only one of the 9 terrorists in Townside hostage crisis was an Athara Magarati - and even that person was someone who had been missing from our nation for the last five years."

As the war of the words were exchanged on social media, Athara Magarati students and Khas-Kirati living in Townside feared the worst.

"I was told to go back to my 'country'." Temur Yonghang says. "I was born here and this is my country. For now I am safe here but I don't know what will happen next."

Coalition of Six: War in San Montagna Nearing its End

Image
Secretary General Keith Richards Updates C6 Commission

Secretary General of the Coalition of Six (C6) Keith Richards is announcing today that the campaign in San Montagna is near complete. He expressed a short while ago at a press conference held at the C6 headquarters in Coventry that the San Montagnans have conceded to defeat. Mr. Richards also expressed that the fascist dictator Benito was handed over to Covonantian Forces and is to be transported to Coventry until further notice.

Image
Ousted San Montagnan leader Benito handed over to Covonantian forces

I am proud to declare that after two months of fighting that calmer days are near. The campaign by the C6 forces in San Montagna has been a success and the San Montagnans have come to their senses to call truce. We agreed to their call for peace once we received the fascist dictator Benito who as I speak is being transported to Coventry where he will be placed in confinement until further notice. I will not declare where he will be held but can assure that he will be given proper treatment

Secretary General Richards announced that the C6 will be remaining in the country until the C6 sees it fit to leave. He notes that the international community will be called upon to assist the Coalition in ensuring the country does not dissolve into chaos.

The C6 is a well respected organisation that has brought hope to those whom we extended our hands to, and San Montagna will not be any different. The C6 members will have to meet to discuss how we will move forward with San Montagna that presently has no government nor recognized official. The C6 in the meantime will ensure that the country does not descend into a state of chaos and in the very near future,
we will be calling on the international community to play a greater role in ensuring that San Montagna does not become the threat it once was.
It is still early days yet but I can say that the C6 will remain in the country to carry out our duties of continuously rooting out elements and features of fascism while finding a solution to the country getting back on track and joining the ranks of the international community as a peaceful Democratic society

Many in Covonant and in other C6 member state such as Athara Magarat who remained largely silent concerning the invasion by the C6 forces into San Montagna and decided to remain on the sidelines as they rebuild from the failed attempts by the San Montagnans to invade Athara Magarat, are calling the invasion of San Montagna unnecessary and holds elements of imperialism. Professor of Law Grancis Avillo is calling the C6 an imperialistic organisation and is claiming the entity has deviated from its original mandate.

The C6 presents itself as an imperialistic organisation. It is obvious that this is an attempt to change the regime of San Montagna and quite frankly it should be viewed as illegal in the eyes of the international community

Foreign Minister Lydia Abbasca disputes the claims by the professor of illegality. She expressed that the C6 were following its treaty in defending another C6 associated member.

The Professor is showing his lack of understanding on the statutes of the C6 and how the organisation operates. I am appalled he would state the C6 acted illegally. What the C6 has done is to show that if any member state is attacked they have the ability, weapons, and manpower to not only defend but win a major conflict. This was the C6 working to push back an invasion attempt and at the same time conduct an attack on a aggressive state.

The CBC will continue to follow the reports concerning the San Montagnan-C6 debacle.

Defense Minister calls CBC Report Fallacious

Image
Defense Minister Crixus Ignacio

Defense Minister Crixus Ignacio is calling out the CBC for what he describes as fallacious reporting. Minister Ignacio expressed that he is innocent and that the report has damaged the image of his character. The Minister raised the thought of carrying the CBC to court over defamation of character.

The CBC has shown itself to being a regional tool that seeks to undermine governments and administration. We have seen the acts of this organisation that was instrumental in pushing the support of the CU and tried to influence voters to vote for Imperatus Marl during the last election, and just as the CBC failed in that respect they will fail in this. I can unequivocally declare my innocence without reservation and I will be discussing with my lawyers how I may go about getting redress from this horrid act

Charlie Dobson, Director of News and Current Affairs is calling the Minister's anger mismanaged. He expressed that the blame cannot be held against the CBC and states that any attempt to sue the Commission will be near impossible.

The Minister's anger is wholly mismanaged and quite frankly pointed in the wrong direction. The CBC for over 95 years have earned the reputation of being among the best in news broadcast and content regionally and I am amazed that a government minister would speak ill of an organisation that has done well to ensure freedom of speech is upheld in this country. I am not sure where the minister resides but he being a law maker would know the CBC is a public body and though not a government agency is a statutory body regulated by the government he serves in, not only that there is no law in Covonant that states that a local news entity is barred from reporting on the alleged wrong conduct of a citizen or government official. We did weeks of checks and proof-findings as well as conducted extensive interviews and investigation. What we hope for is that the Consul will act to carry out their own investigation and to see if the reports were accurate. Until then the Minister should brush up on local laws before he talks of suing. He may embarrass himself more in the public eyes.

FICA order to Investigate Leaked Keverai Papers; Defense Minister Crixus Ignacio and Opposition Leader Imperatus Marl called to attend Transparency Committee Tomorrow

Image
Federal Institute for Criminal Affairs

The Consul has ordered the Federal Institute of Criminal Affairs to conduct a probe into the recently reported leak Keverai Papers that expressed numerous government officials, influential individuals and major corporation involvement in unethical acts. In the Papers saw the names of two prominent Covonantian government officials namely the Opposition Leader, Imperatus Marl and Defense Minister Crixus Ignacio. The newly assigned Head of the Transparency Committee Samantha Walkerson expressed that the Committee will be looking to open up the case of the Opposition Leader as well calling on the powers of the FICA to investigate into the Imperatus Marl Palatine Manor files and the previous administration files extending to the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of International Development and International Trade.

Image
Newly appointed Head of the Transparency and Accountability Committee, Samantha Walkerson

The Committee failed to carry out its extensive investigation of the former Prime Minister last July when we were called to do so.
I intend to carry out the investigation relying on the FICA and the Intelligence Data Centre (IDC) to bring this case to a verdict. We need to also have further investigations done on the leaked papers, such as who leaked it and who compiled these information. There are serious questions that needs to be raised and this committee under my leadership will get to the bottom of this. I intend to have the previous administration thoroughly investigated as well as the current administration. The Covonantian public deserves to know the truth and if the reports are true heads must roll and individuals held accountable.

The Consul has sent out an order requesting the presence of both Opposition Leader Marl, and Defense Minister Crixus to attend an emergency meeting chaired by the Transparency and Accountability Committee schedule for tomorrow at 9:00 am. The CBC will be sure to bring live updates of the proceedings.

Prime Minister Gais Calls on Conservative Base to Vote for Sovereignty in the CovExit Elections

Image
Prime Minister Crassus Gais

As both the Covonantian Conservative Party (CCP) and the Democratic Party of Covonant (DPC) continue to mobilise supporter to vote whether to leave or remain in the Cooperative Union, Prime Minister Gais on a trip to Devios City yesterday sought to gain supporters to vote leave. In his address at a rally held at the Devios City Conference Centre, Prime Minister Gais called on patrons to vote for Covonantian sovereignty come next week Wednesday when the country goes to the poll.

The CU is currently deliberating on their invasive trade resolution as to think we don't know their tricks. The CU has become a superstate and Covonant will not be dictated by any foreign nation on who we trade with and the terms of our agreement. We need to take back our independence the DPC so quickly threw away. Come Wednesday, vote for Covonant if you want to be the driver of your own destiny

Over in Jueverna Ailis, Opposition Leader Imperatus Marl who has found himself in a growing scandal which he has yet to speak out on, held a rally in a mostly conservative zone calling on Juevernans to vote for the CU which he states stands as the perfect bridge to bring greater economic advantages.

I call on all Covonantians not to fall for the lie that our sovereignty is under attack. The CCP is using a fearmongering tactic to work on the emotions of the electorate. I come to you with facts. For the poorest zone in the country, you would think the government would look to the CU to find economic advantages to grown the Juevernan economy and provide more jobs for Juevernans but instead have not utilised more of what the CU has to offer. On Wednesday vote for your family to see better opportunities in the zone of their birth, to be able to get a well paying job that comes about through investment. The CU is a good for us, if we used it properly

When asked to comment on the report of corruption during his administration, the Opposition Leader declined to comment, but instead reminded Covonantians not to be distracted with alleged news but to focus on the referendum that will be among the most important in the country's history.

And we here at the CBC reminds you to join us next week Tuesday for a live debate held at the National Debates Centre where both Prime Minister Gais and Opposition Leader Marl will discuss the CU and the referendum.

Three Convicted of Attempting to Smuggle Cocaine into Covonant Gets Death Penalty; Date set for February 14

Image
Death Penalty Protest that Occurred Last May in Capitoline, Roberticis

The three individuals that were caught trying to import illegal drugs into the country were yesterday handed a verdict. The verdict which was to be given roughly two weeks ago was pushed back as a result of the preparation for the holidays. Zonal Magistrate in the Kanaute Zonal Court Qassia Stokie found the three individuals deserving of the death penalty which he granted a date set for the 14 of February. Many in Covonant has protested the move, calling on the Crassus Gais administration to intervene.

We are back here again, I mean its less than a year the state carried out lethal killings and this current administration said they would seek change and still nothing
-Annette, Kanaute resident

Justice Minister Caligula Sensus expressed that the courts cannot be influenced by the legislative body. He notes that the Ministry is working to draft a bill to the Consul in due order.

What citizens fail to realise is that the legislature which includes the cabinet cannot influence or direct the judgement laid out by the courts if it is not in line with the laws of the land. The three individual committed a federal offense not a zonal offense. They committed the highest offense of the land and the courts exercising due judgement acted accordingly. What we intend to do is to look at the Dangerous Drug Act and see if we could propose to the Consul to have it reviewed.

The CBC sought a response from the Miklanian Embassy twice but was told an official response has not been advised. The CBC will continue to track the developments surrounding this story.

CBC Director Refutes Claim of Covonantian Propaganda

Image
CBC Director Gary Mathis

Director of the Covonantian Broadcasting Commission Mr. Gary Mathis, is calling out various individuals for what he calls a miscalculated attack on the entity. He notes that the CBC conducts its operations in the highest level of professionalism and is sadden with the attacks being directed towards the company.

The CBC does not have a vendetta against any individual or corporation, we are in the business of providing news coverage, and entertainment which involved educational contents. The recent attacks on the Commission following a reporting done by the CBC TWI a network under the CBC brand is unwanted and frankly distasteful

Mr. Mathis refutes the claim of the CBC spreading propaganda or Covonantian influence. He notes that the CBC has always operated as both a regional network and a local one.

The CBC does not partake in spreading any propagandist elements on behalf of any entity or individual and to hear the claims that we are somehow a tool to spread Covonantian influence is very disheartening. The CBC operates as a regional and local media house, and is a regional household name. We are among the networks that has a large regional audience and specialises in our contents to fit the needs and appetite of the unique markets we find ourselves in which explain why we have the CBC TWI and various radio networks that focuses on regional contents rather than local. I understand some individuals and companies would be angry over our reporting of the leaked reports but the attacks on the CBC is baseless and revels in the emotions and not logic. The CBC operates to educate, entertain and inform. We do not have a practice of propaganda or spreading Covonantian values, or influence

Mr. Mathis is hoping that the attacks on the CBC will cease and the Commission continue to provide world class service to its consumers.

DO REMEMBER THIS IS THE CBC

Lhre Informationen presents: Prohibition of pyrotechnic equipment and fireworks

A bill was proposed in the Legislative Assembly of the Royal Household (LARH), which proposes to prohibit the handling, use, burning and release of fireworks and pyrotechnic artifacts. The intention of the project, sent by the Secretary-General of the Assembly, Mark Hasberg, is to preserve the animals, which are agitated by the noise of the fires.

The issue gained momentum at the national level, when movements dedicated to protecting animals began to press politicians to create mechanisms to ban fires that cause noise. In all the cities of Bismarckreich. In all cities, New Year's fireworks were canceled to preserve pets. The whole industry of Fireworks will be dissolved

The text provides punishment with fine and detention for those who fail to comply with the rule. It even provides for a ban on the activities of a company responsible for a pyrotechnic spectacle if the action is not in accordance with the possible law. The commercial establishment that provides noisy fireworks could be fined R $ 32,500.

"The noise caused by spectacles such as those mentioned in this project causes panic and disorient animals, since they have a hearing sensitivity far superior to human," says Mark Hasberg in presenting the project.

The project was filed on Wednesday (3) and has to be read in the LARH plenary to gain leeway - but the Diplomats only come back to work on February 1. After reading, the project gains a number and starts to move through committees defined by the assemblers in the plenary.

"The noise caused by spectacles such as those mentioned in this project causes panic and disorientates animals ... Due to the panic caused, many animals can suffer cardiac arrests and convulsions and have several problems that can lead to death, as well as being victims of many accidents during the attempt to protect themselves from noise, "says the justification of the proposal presented.

The project caused protests in the provinces of Bismarckia, Ludwiguia, Friedrichschillersburg and Pachelbillia

Consul Bellum Takes Hard Stance On Covonant

Earlier today at the end of a press release that the Consul Bellum was taking part in, one of our reporters asked how he feels about the Covonantian press release that they would be executing the foreigners found guilty of drug smuggling which includes Miklanian nationals. Klark Zeltargo face grew visibly displeased and he spoke in harsh terms.

"Frankly I find it appalling that a nation could take such a barbaric stance, not only in that it executes people for crimes not deserving of the death penalty, but that it would execute foreign citizens for such crimes without even the possibility of extradition. I feel bad for their families and countrymen that these people are not getting fair trials and punishments but rather have to face draconian laws. In the end the major point of this though is that this is affecting a fellow MSTO member, Miklania. Polar Svalbard will do what it can to support Miklania in whatever way is necessary. Until Miklania calls upon us though, for now, we can say directly that Covonant is a backwards nation in regards to drug laws and extradition and I would suggest people traveling to Covonant take care while there. Next question please."

Such harsh rhetoric is a quick turn around in Svalbardian-Covonant relations as up until now, relations were for the most part friendly. So far the Consul Adstutia has not commented on either Covonant or the Consul Bellum's remarks on the situation. As this story develops expect more from us.

CORRENIAN NEWS IN BRIEF
Image
Brought to you by Correnian News Association

NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OPENED IN ALDCROFT
Officially opening in March of this year, a new massive national symposium is opening for the city of Aldcroft. Built and designed for the critical thinking and those in the ages of 20 to 29, the new symposium will festure both indoor and outdoor areas. For the indoors, some features include a gym, weight room, multiple courts, library, debate hall, study halls, cafe's and an opera house. For the outdoors, musical stages, theatures, walking park, dog park, gardens, a lillete pond, among others. This project is worth a hefty 12 million dollars to build, and will feature over a three dozen buildings. The champion and leader of the project, Susan Walters, has been caught for an interview. Regarding the project, she has few but encouraging words.
"This project is a monumental one, as this will create a new space for our young thinkers to get together, relax and let their minds go. From the creative arts to the math and sciences, anyone can find their path of intellect here. This symposium will pay for itself when our citizens who come here become our next doctors, historians and presidents."

CORRENIAN PASSES NEW BILL
By Midday Wednesday the Fededal Assembly passed house bill V362, nicknamed "foundatious rebuilding". This bill, coming into effect immediately will help pour millions of dollars into the infrastructure of the Correnian Democratic Commonwealth, and make leeway for the construction of mag railways and other new buildings for scientific research. The bill was passed with an 86% majority. Cities and rural areas both get the treatment, as roads, throughways, highways, power cables and power poles also get makeovers and replacements. As the years go by, Correnia will gently work into the green energy business and work to move to using clean alternate energy as their manority power source. Such versions include solar and geothermal.

CORRENIAN MILITARY BEGINS REBUILDING
Not since the early 2000's has the Correnian military received new equipment. Because of this, the Correnian war department has looked into products of other nations to helo re~outfit the armed forces, as well as jumpstarting our own Correnian line of weaponry. So far the top two nations Correnia is looking at for supplies is Miklania for aircraft, and Polar Svalbard for naval operations.

BREAKING NEWS: Valdr Maxwell Urges Calm regarding CBC Press Scandal
Winston Gorgovin, The Stellanova Times | 4 January 2018

Image
The Valdr spoke with the press at the Valdrian Estate.

- (Stellanova City, Tectonix) During a weekly press conference at the Valdrian Estate, Valdr Maxwell was asked by a Verano Daily reporter to comment on the recent scandal that the Covonantian Broadcasting Commission (CBC) allegedly disseminated false information regarding regional companies and their interactions with Isles nations, specifically in the areas of weapons manufacturing and government corruption.

I have enjoyed a good read of the CBC for many years now, and accusations of "fake news" against are something I've rarely seen. However, noting its expansive reach and impact across the Isles, it was truly only a matter of time. It is not my place to state whether or not I believe the CBC's information is accurate — however, it is my place to recognise and act against the backlash against its reporting. Although I believe that appropriate action should be taken against inaccurate reporting from affected nations and citizens, it should be done through the appropriate Covonantian legal procedures, not through public speeches that do nothing more than fan the flames of conflicts that have no business being provoked. These public addresses are creating unnecessary tension between major powers of our Isles, and I am urging these nations to scale down their rhetoric, and follow the proper procedures with Covonantian officials if they feel they have been maligned by the CBC.

POLITICS: Liberal Coalition Leader Condemns Covonantian Death Penalty Case
Nuñes Fox, The Stellanova Times | 4 January 2018

Image
The Coalition Leader speaking at a Blue Party Leadership conference.

- (Stellanova City, Tectonix) The Parliamentary Leader of the Liberal Coalition, Terrance Rodriguez, strongly condemned the recent headline of a Covonantian court sentencing three foreigners to death after being convicted drug smuggling. As a sidenote, a drug smuggling conviction in Tectonix is typically 2-3.5 years in federal prison, followed by a year of probation.

It's deeply saddening that in this day and age, such a strong CU Member-State has chosen to impose such draconian measures for a crime wholly undeserving of such treatment. What's even worse is the fact that the court would choose to impose a sentence without providing the foreign nationals with the option of extradition — in fact, they haven't even made contact with the Miklanian embassy. This outrage of a criminal proceeding is something that would never occur in Tectonix, and frankly, should not occur in Covonant. Tectonix stands at the forefront of rehabilitation-focused criminal justice, with record low recidivism rates and number of ex-convicts reintegrated into the workforce. The death penalty, torture, and soon solitary confinement will all be outlawed, and we as a nation are stronger because of it. I am disappointed by how Covonant has dealt with this crime, and I hope that their legislature will be prudent enough to review and make the necessary changes to their criminal justice procedures.

'Anti-Pacifism rally' take over New Libang

Image

NEW LIBANG

In a shocking turn of events, demonstrators chanted anti-government slogans across New Libang on Thursday, as protests against perceived 'softness and continued pacifist stance' of the government turned into the largest wave of demonstrations since nationwide pro-democracy People's Movement in the 50s.

The outbreak of unrest reflects growing discontent over the fact that Athara Magarati state withdrew from any involvement in the war against San Montagna. After the war officially ended with the arrest of former San Montagnan dictator Benito Franco, protesters (most of them soldiers and families of victims of the war) took to streets on Thursday chanting 'shame to pacifist weakness of Athara Magarat'. The unrest was also furthered by the fact that Townsiders in Ipachi Valley had burned Athara Magarati flags over the issue of a SHOCK hostage crisis.

"Paija Hang was one of the founders of the CU, he had every right to call himself a pacifist. But Jrm Hangma started her term by shooting missiles into terrorist bases. Our question is why she isn't continuing that and why she denied us justice in the name of pacifism? Why is her government silent even after we were invaded or our flags were burned in disgrace? Why is she suddenly friends with Nijakov?" A student protester told the Herald.

"We are damn tired of foreigners saying, every damn single time, that our nation is responsible for SHOCK. They act like that because our government is pacifist - in other words, weaklings." Another protester added. "Everyone is bound to take advantage of pacifists. Specially if the pacifists in question can't even say back that their nation has nothing do with terrorists."

Jrm Hangma has been unavailable for questions but the Divan-i-Magarati issued a statement saying it “strongly supports the right to protests of the people” and was monitoring the protests so that it didn't turn violent. Divan Hangma, one of the vocal proponents of the pacifism in Athara Magarat, faced the most criticisms among the government officials and her house was surrounded for five hours by the 'anti-pacifism' protesters.

Though videos posted on social media showed a heavy police presence and demonstrations across New Libang, arrests have not been made as the protests are relatively 'peaceful'; according to government sources.

Though not unitedly organized, the protesters seem to have some similar demands that were as follows:

1. Cautious approach against the EUSR.

2. Use of necessary 'force' against SHOCK, SOAR and Merrit Liberation Front.

3. Harsher approach against the Atnaian government.

4. Stop apologizing for Khas-Kirat Empire's atrocities and SHOCK's terror attacks that have no whatsoever connection to Athara Magarat.

5. Provide honorary citizenship to foreigners who helped Athara Magarati citizens in the war.

6. Provide relief and compensation to Athara Magarati war victims and C6 nation soldiers who were killed in action in Athara Magarat.

7. Support a new government in San Montagna.

8. Demand official apology from Townside for the flag-burning case.

9. Demand official apology from all nations that accuse Athara Magarat of 'harboring terrorists' without proof.

10. Place emphasis on Jrm Hangma's promise of a capable military force.

11. Stronger stance on the issue of Miksolc Island and Miklania in general.

Lhre Informationen presents: ARMY INVESTMENT

The Government approved the Budget Law of 2018 on Friday. The text, sanctioned by the Economist and Military Strategist Sergei Gjerdkov, foresees a transfer of more than 94 billion Reich Marks to the House of the German Army. Of this amount, more than 73% will be allocated to expenses with personnel and social charges

Personal Expenses and Social Carges

According to data released by the Army House, the estimated expenses with personnel and social charges are over 70 billion, compared to 61 billion in 2016. The corresponding share of the general budget, however, increased by 74.6% in 2016 to 76.2% this year.

According to data from the A.H, the portfolio received a 40.8% increase in the 2018 budget for investment in the GAP of Defense, compared to the amount passed last year. The GAP (Growth Acceleration Program) contemplates the strategic projects of the three Forces: Navy, Army and Aeronautic

The projects in charge of the Central Administration of A.H will receive a transfer of another RD's 545 million. These are undertakings that serve the interests of the three Forces. The H-X BR provides for the acquisition of 50 EC-725 transport helicopters for use by the Navy, the Army and the Air Force. The EC-725 carries out tactical transport, troop, cargo, in-flight refueling, search and rescue missions, combat and clearing, and maritime surface protection missions. In addition, the helicopter is considered essential to provide support in public calamities such as rescue and transportation in floods.

The GSO will receive a transfer of 60 million. The objective of the program is to provide secure and sovereign means for strategic and defense communications, as well as bringing critical space technologies to the country through technology transfer and absorption programs. The artifact will be the first to be 100% controlled by institutions, giving the Reich, full control of the information that orbit the national territory.

The Reich Navy will receive a total transfer of 2.352 billion for its strategic projects. The Subsea Development Program (SubseaDP), which aims to design and build four conventional submarines and one powered by nuclear propulsion in the Reich; also foresees the construction of the Shipyard and the Naval Base in Old Berlin. In addition, the Force is also responsible for the Navy's Nuclear Program (NNP), which aims to develop nuclear propulsion technology with the dominance of the nuclear fuel cycle.

The projects in charge of the Army are the ones that will have the least transfer, compared to those of the other Forces. The total of 898 million will be allocated to Sisfron, Astros 2020 and Armored Merkelbismarcka The Integrated Border Monitoring System (IBMSystem) is the largest land border monitoring project in the Reich. The Merkelbismarcka Armored Family project, in turn, consists of the development of combat vehicles on the 4 × 4, 6 × 6 and 8 × 8 platforms, which will not only be powerful for military attack operations, but will also represent a qualitative leap in missions of defense, patrolling and peace. Finally, the Astros 2020 project aims to equip the Earth Force with means capable of providing long-range fire support with high accuracy and lethalit

With the largest budget for investments in strategic projects, the Aeronautics will receive a pass-through of 2.688 billion in 2018. The amount will be passed on for the development and acquisition of the KC-390. According to the Air Force, spending on the KC-X project provides for the certification of the aircraft, which should be consolidated later this year. By its capacity of transporting up to 23 tons, the aircraft can also accommodate large equipment such as armaments, semi-attached aircraft and even the armored Merkelbismarcka. In all, more than 80 companies participate in the project.

New types of Weapons were also designed with the help of the largest Reich Weapons industry, the Otto Quality Self-Security Guns or Otto Guns (OQASG)

'Anti-Pacifism rally' goes violent as three are arrested

Image
'Anti-Pacifism rally' supporters demanding Athara Magarati government to be involved in counter-terrorist operations around the Isles.

NEW LIBANG

A day after the 'Anti-Pacifism movement' started, the protests have now spread all across Athara Magarat. The Athara Magarati government estimates say that the protesters number around 20,000 but other independent sources say the numbers are much higher. After key pacifist leader Divan Hangma's house was vandalized with stones by three men, more Armed Police Force personals were deployed across various Athara Magarati towns.

The three men, whose names have not been provided by the government, were arrested after Divan Hangma, an influential member of the Divan-i-Magarati, and her two relatives were injured after being assaulted. After the arrests were announced, the protests turned violent as 'Anti-Pacifism movement' supporters clashed with the New Libang Police for the release of the three men. In the aftermath of the clashes, 12 police officers and many unknown number of protesters were injured and seventeen more protesters had been arrested.

"Peace needs strength to be maintained!" shouted a protester in a live video posted on social media. The protesters have now added special privileges to be given to Vancouvian soldiers in Athara Magarat for their dedication in the 'war against terrorism' and called for the Divan to lead the war against SHOCK. "Our government should be ashamed that foreigners are leading the war against SHOCK. We should praise the Vancouvians and learn from them. They recruit soldiers at the age of ten and train them for ten more years. That's how they have been able to keep a prosperous society. Our government should rise up from a street kitten to the White Tigress of legends."

Though the government has denied the case, even some police officers are reported to have joined the Anti-Pacifism movement as many soldiers have done.

'Xoltas' join the the Anti-Pacifism Movement

Image
The newer members of the OX, which stands for the Original Xoltas.

NEW LIBANG

The Anti-Pacifism Movement became even more heated in Day 3 as biker gangs across the island nation launched a mass bike rally in support of the protesters.

The biker gangs of Athara Magarat are known as the Xoltas and have branches in many Isles nations with Khas-Kirati populations. In fact, the overseas branches of the Xoltas have more influence and numbers than the ones in Athara Magarat. Most of the 2,000 protesters in the bike rally were said to be members of the OX, which stands for the Original Xoltas, and was the first Xoltas gang in Athara Magarat to start in the 60s, plus a few other groups like the Merrit Super Strikers (MSS), Junior Pun Tole (JPT) and Red Blossom Zone (RBZ). It has been reported that even a few members of overseas Xoltas groups such as the Taurot Tigers of Covonant.

Xoltas gangs are known for using bikes manufactured by Isles nations and promote indigenous Isles cultures in a "rebellious" manner. But in many nations, they are also known for involvement in criminal activities such as drug trafficking and shootings.

The bike rally as organized to denounce the arrest of several Anti-Pacifism Movement protesters, a member of the OX told the Herald. When asked about the involvement of the Xoltas in the Anti-Pacifism Movement, government officials were quick to say that the movement was composed only of "vandals" and "ruffians" who wanted to destroy "peace".

Image
The Taurot Tigers of Covonant.

Meanwhile the number of arrested protesters now amount to around 100 and the government has warned the protesters to not commit "any violent act in the name of protest".

"Peace-loving weaklings need to understand that we Athara Magaratis are angry over how soft our nation has become." A female member of the OX said. "Finally, even other Athara Magaratis are speaking like the Xoltas. Pacifism is inaction and inaction destroys all."

Justice Chin Ai-Lon to be succeeded by Chang Norodom

January 7, 2018
Frosto, Great-Imperialonia

Justice Chin-Ai Lon, who has served in the Imperialonian High Court of Justice since 2010 announced his resignation last week. Chin-Ai Lon was one of the so/called religious justices in the branch and was originally from Asjk’lan, Bhikkar. Chin-Ai Lon has been sufferig from health issues for a reasonably long time and decided it was time to step down and spend more time with his family and friends from Asjk’lan.

Justice Ai-Lon, who was originally a Buddhist monk from the County of Bhikar is well known in Great-Imperialonia for his actions in court. Justice Ai-Lon has been known for voting more against ‘chairman-lines’ than any of the other 6 justices. Ai-Lon served as Secretary of Justice and Peace for the County of Bhikkar, as District Judge and Statsmen for the Lotus Party in the Senate. Ai-Lon, who suffered from cancer has been absent more and more often lately, so his resignation was just a matter of time.

Minister Olon of Justice and Security and Prime-Minister Montgomery already publicly announced that Viceroy Melas II will nominate Chang Norodom, now a Canton Judge in Bhikkar, as Supreme Justice. Mr. Norodom will most likely be confirmed by the Senate, besides coalition partners LUP, Christian Democrats and Loyalists. It is remains unclear how the thoughts on Chang Norodom live forth in t

Chang Norodom is also a Buddhist monk, but in contrary to Chin Ai-Lon, he has not joined a parry. He is likely to be affirmed justice by the States-General tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

Imperialonian United Forces doubles on the West Suomi Naval Base

A few months ago, Prime-Minister Montgomery announced the purchase of a military base on the east coast of West Suomi, due to the re-introduced conscription, people are only very slowly moving towards the rural areas. The forces of Great-Imperialonia is ‘ready for air strikes’ as the quote from the Aprosian Consitutional Empire and Džehar Nicholas II said

The number of present military troops in naval bases had been doubled because of the new military conscription. A lot of young people joined the army, which made it possible to double the number of troops located on the mainland. The Military Base in West Suomi is considered a threat by the Aapelistanian government, as it can send planes to drop bombs on the mainland of New-Aapelistan. The doubling of troops on the base can be a provocation toward President Nijakov and the EUSR. Great-Imperialonia has supported the contra-government of Emperor Nicholas II that lives in exile in Great-Imperialonia.

The Ministry of Defence refused to comment on the recent doubling of troops on the West Suomi Base. It is supposed to pressure the government of New Aapelistan to stop persecution of royalist advocates in New Aapelistan.

|PROTESTS AFTER CHEMICAL TRADE ALLEGATIONS|
Good evening, hundreds gather today in solidarity against the Canone Administration after allegations were made by the CBC hinting that the Jimenean government conducted a chemical arms trade with private companies. Many LPP supporters blame the CCP and have labeled the re-elected president as corrupt. The allegations are sure to cause difficulties for President Canone and the trust he has managed to establish with the Jimenean people in the past. Not at any given moment in Congress or in The House of Confederates had the issue of purchasing chemical weapons appeared. Many claims that the trade was conducted in secrecy illegally, however, no exact evidence has been released to confirm the allegations and no identification has been made on who conducted the trade for the Jimenean government whether it be a cabinet member or the president himself. President Canone has stated the following:

My presidency has always been based on honesty and commitment, those qualities have not faded in any way and I am determined to ensure of that. I deny any allegations of any chemical weapons trade and deny that I have had any participation in a so-called trade. The Jimenean nation has always been a nation of peace and will maintain that status in The Western Isles.

LPP leaders and governors are calling an investigation into the matter and are claiming the impeachment of the president if the investigation uncovers evidence implying or confirming that President Canone participated in the trade. Many are doubting the impeachment of the president will occur given his support in the House of Confederates and in other various regional legislatures. In the end, the allegations have tainted the reputation of President Canone and have enabled him to maintain and establish trust with the Jimenean people, he has not made any comments regarding other nations that have been accused of various illegal activity as well.

That is all the news we have at the moment, thank you for choosing the Gran Teran Gazette, good night!

Divan Hangma under 'house arrest'

Divan Hangma, the top profile pacifist leader in Athara Magarat, has been detained by army for the 'sake of the country'.

NEW LIBANG

The Anti-Pacifism Movement protesters celebrated joyously on the streets in Day 4 as Divan Hangma, the top pacifist leader in Athara Magarat and the target of the Anti-Pacifism Movement, was placed under house arrest by the National Army of Athara Magarat.

Major Phedap Moringlahang, who is rumored to be a close friend of Jrm Hangma, led the Gray Company to secure the residence of Divan Hangma. "Divan Hangma and her two relatives had earlier been injured after the protesters entered her house. This place has been vandalized. Under the Mahang (Jrm Hangama)'s orders, we are placing Divan Hangma under house arrest and stripped of her title in the Divan-i-Magarati until the crisis is over."

He further stated that the protesters were also to be warned any violent activity would not be tolerated and that military vehicles would not patrol the streets.

However, many protesters were quick to praise the major and label him a hero for this action. Some even said that this action suggested Jrm Hangma was willing to listen to them.

"Finally, the pacifist devil is under arrest!" A female member of the Original Xoltas biker gang shouted.

"The government has finally shown that it is willing to acknowledge us." A student leader in the protests said. "The protests will end soon if this momentum is used for dialogue and our demands are addressed. We need heroes like Moringlahang."

Major Moringlahang had came into highlight after his Gray Company became notorious for beheading more than a hundred dead San Montagnan soldiers in the war while stranded in Myagdi Island with no help from others until allied Covonantian soldiers arrived to relieve them. He has been cleared of those charges in Athara Magarat and rumors are that it was due to this close connection to Jrm Hangma. Moringlahang was said to have been in favor of troop deployment in San Montagna but the influential members of the Divan-i-Magarati such as Divan Hangma and top military officers are said to have ignored the call.

"He is like us. He wanted to be in San Montagna to teach them a lesson but the politicians and the top brass screwed him." An elderly man who had been a soldier in his youth, said. "He hasn't been promoted or given any medals. Heck those peace-loving traitors even wanted to prosecute him for killing the enemy in a war! Only Jrm Hangma's actions have saved him and thanks to that, we have a reason to believe our demands will be addressed soon."

Strengthening bonds between Samudera and Townside

KABAR SAHARI - 08/01/2018, 13:11

TOWNSIDE, Kabar Sahari - Foreign Affairs Minister Cahyadi Kunakara arrived in Townside last Friday on the second stop of his tour. He was warmly greeted by Grand Prince Zackery Carlisle, who cited the relations between the two nations that have been paved since 1992. Kunakara’s visit to Townside was preceded by one to Torom a few days before, aimed to foster the already close relations and strong trade flow between the nations.

A group of business leaders accompanied Minister Kunakara, including those from online transportation company GoTor, food industry giant Samudfood, and solar food manufacturer Mentari. All businesses have shown great interest in expanding into Townside.

As one of Samudera’s immediate neighbours, Townside has always been a strategic ally since relations were restored in 1992. Stability and positive prospects on relations have been bolstered by the high volumes of trade and diplomatic friendships. The meeting was held in the International Aid building in Townside City, amidst the recent hostage crisis. Presidnet Susanto and Minister Kunakara have sent their deepest condolences to those killed in the incident, and condemned SHOCK’s actions.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed last Friday by both the Grand Prince and the Samuderan Foreign Minister, which depicted the formation of an agreement between the two nations about cultural preservation. The two nations have similar cultures, currently endangered by globalisation and both nations stand committed in conserving the unique culture they have. This seems to be a direct response to the Arun Valley Protocol, which both nations rejected due to its nonsense provisions.

Another MoU discussed an increase in foreign investment as well as a joint commitment to facilitate further trade. It specifically addresses the energy and food sectors. The travelling business leaders joined the Minister to discuss trade and investment, in efforts to reduce or eliminate artificial trade barriers. Tariffs have immediately been reduced, whilst a free trade agreement has been considered and then postponed.

A third MoU detailed a visa free agreement, which is applicable to Samuderan nationals holding regular, private, diplomatic and VIP passports has also been reciprocated, allowing Townsiders to enter Samudera under similar circumstances.
