Coalition of Six celebrates one year anniversary

The Coalition of Six is today celebrating its one year anniversary, and to mark its one year achievements and milestone a luncheon was held at the C6 headquarters, the Coalition Building in Coventry, Covonant. The luncheon was attended by representatives from the C6 member states as well as government officials, military commanders and advisers, and foreign Ambassadors. The key note speaker at the luncheon Covonantian Defense Minister Batiatus Sula in his celebratory opening remarks praised the C6 as an institution that brings hope to many states around the region rather than the member states themselves.

The C6 stands as a beacon of hope. An organisation that presence brings an assured feeling. A sense that maybe the vision of a peaceful region is within reach. The C6 has time and time again provided selfless service to each member that has lead to great levels of regional peace that has not only benefitted C6 members but non-member states as well. We saw this evident when the C6 stood up to aggressive states who sought to destabilize the region with the using of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction. We saw it evident again with the organisation coming to the aid of its member state to topple an aggressive regime in Arvan that provided restoration of peace in the Aegean Sea and Gael area. The C6 has also showed its diplomatic prowess in bringing to an end a century old conflict that brought war to the south Mesder area and close to many of the C6 member states territory. That is why the C6 stands today as a noble alliance that has stretched itself and its services around the region to continue the hopes and dreams of so many of us to see a peaceful stable region

Defense Minister Sula in his address expressed that the nature of the regions conflicts are changing and with the change the C6 would find themselves engaging in multiple roles.

Our region is more stable than before the C6 was created but what we have seen risen out of the period of stability is greater terrorist activities and a more aggressive stance from Communist states. The C6 would have to assess these new regional issues and find a way to bring an end to it. I am confident that this organisation bears the capacity to do just that

Continuing with the celebration Heads of Government from C6 member states who could not have attended the luncheon for having engagements overseas, sent their remarks which were delivered by C6 representatives.

In his message to the C6 Prime Minister Imperatus Marl expressed joy that the organisation his administration led the way in forming had withstood the times to earn its place in the region as an institution guided by a principle of peace. He expressed that the C6 has the ability to grow and he is confident that its growth will lead to not only success of the organisation but the region as well.

Opposition Leader Crassus Gais at the luncheon noted that he was pleased the C6 is being recognised as a necessary alliance in the region. He expressed that other defense alliance have become almost obsolete.

The C6 in my eyes has earned its place in the region as a necessary alliance. We have seen it time and time again, with the alliance stepping up to issues that were critical to regional peace. Almost acting as a sort of regional police ensuring that peace is found not only in the Mesder or Gael but in the Southern Seas as well. The C6 for me has done what other defense alliances chose not to do and that is to respond.

The celebrations are expected to last throughout the day in other C6 member states at the respective Defense headquarters.

The Coalition of Six also called the C6 is an alliance that consist of 6 original member states and 1 associated state. The C6 constitutes a system of collective defense in response to an attack by any external party based on the Coalition Treaty that was ratified on May 29, 2016.

The C6 will be restructured; says C6 Secretary General

The Secretary General of the Coalition of Six Mr. Keith Richards has expressed that effective June 1, 2017 the C6 will be restructured. Mr. Richards made the announcement at a luncheon held at the C6 Headquarters in Coventry, Covonant to celebrate the one year anniversary of the organisations' forming. Mr. Richards who is also the Covonantian representative to the C6 expressed that the member states have agreed that the C6 should play a greater role in regional security.

The C6 has done extremely well to safeguard the defense of each of our member states and to promote peace within the region. But we have realised that new regional security issues that are of deepening concern to all member states of the C6 would prompt the organisation to restructure our operations outside of the usual defense of C6 member states only but to now enlarge that operation to include safeguarding of imminent threats before they become too much of an issue affecting C6 member states.

Mr. Richard expressed that the C6 is not taking on the role of regional police but it will act as an alliance that safeguards peace in the region. He also expressed that terrorism and communistic and imperilistic states will be issues the C6 will have to deal with.

The C6 does not claim itself to be the regional police what we view ourselves as is an alliances guided by a treaty that in its very nature speaks to defense for all in the coalition and the safeguarding of peace throughout the region. We have to take on a pre-emptive role in the region as if we sit idle by for situations to exacerbate one could only imagine the implications it would have on the organisation's ability to ensure peace. With restructuring our motives and operations, we would have to address regional security issues that poses threats to our (C6 member states) existence and peace. These threats are but not limited to terrorism, aggressive communistic regimes, imperialism, among others.

He notes that the C6 will have to change but will remain true to its cause of defense for all members.

The C6 is not abandoning our main motive of defense for member states we are more looking to expand our roles that to ensure our existence and peace reigns and to ensure that the region is peaceful and stable, we have to commit to the eradication of evil forces that will seek to eradicate us. We have to move from being an organisation that only responds when instances reaches grave levels but to be more pre-emptive.

Former senior adviser to Defense Minister Batiatus Sula, Mr. Altin Weller had joined me earlier in the CBC studios where he is calling the move to restructure the organisation a necessary but will see the C6 engaging in many conflict.

The C6 has some leverage to wanting to restructure and become more responsive as a means to prevent instances that would affect them even more. But for me it is a troubling restructure as it would mean the C6 could find themselves engaging in many conflicts which I would assume they would most likely assess its implication for the member states. But conflicts in the region regardless of what it entails, affects regional peace so the C6 would have to be mindful of the implications

The CBC sought to speak to Covonantian rep of the C6 Mr. Richards at the end of the luncheon where he made it clear that the C6 is not becoming a fighting machine.

I don't want anyone to create the view of the C6 becoming this fighting machine that would go around looking for conflicts. No. What the restructure would entail is if the C6 members have reasons to believe that a conflict will affect any member state the C6 would take a pre-emptive approach to that problem. I want it to be reassured that the C6 does not resort to militarism as a first route. We have a political arm of the organisation that deals with diplomacy and if in the event diplomacy fails we have a military arm of the organisation that is capable of engaging in conventional conflicts to ensure the defense of our member states and while doing that promoting peace in the region

Mr. Richards noted that the C6 has the ability to perform in the new structured role which is to the benefits of the member states and by extension the region at large.

DO REMEMBER YOU ARE WITH THE CBC.

Coventry: Opposition leader Crassus Gais claims that if elected he wouldn't waste precious time and resources traveling abroad, insisting he alone has the power to make world leaders come to Covonant instead. When asked if this included states that practiced communism and their leaders, he quickly snapped back..

"No, we won't let them come here, are you outta your Vulcan mind?!"

But Gais, how are you going to promote Covonat's interests and principles abroad in states that aren't democratic or capitalist?!

"We'll invade them of course, on the pretext of freedom or to oversea elections. We'll stack the deck in our favor of course.."

While Crassus Gais war hawk ambitions are frequently ridiculed in Covonant proper, it comes as unsettling information for Covonant's friends and allies abroad. The risk of strained relations is very real, while there's likely to be some who would welcome the news. Fortaleza and Gran Teran would relish the chance of having Covonant be apart of the anti-communist club, while New Libang, Swanstad and Travencia City would argue for peaceful means to reach the desired result.

When asked for comment about his upcoming opponent, the current prime minister shrugged it off by saying "Excuse me, I've got more pressing matters to attend to than undoing the damage of a cranky man child throwing a temper tantrum"

Windsor: Representatives from Papavara Pharmaceuticals claimed to have designed an abuse proof extended release formulation of its most addictive narcotics. By coating the pills with edible plastic, and inserting a very uncomfortable secret ingredient that under normal use would simply just pass through the patient. However if crushed or tampered with the substance makes usage uncomfortable at best, with claims that its also not likely to be lethal.

"In trials out of 1000 people to see how effective the tamper mechanism is, only 4 died all of which had an allergy to capsaicin"

EALWIC DAILY NEWS

Good evening Ealdwic. As many know the conflict between Roonean and San Jimenez is on the minds of the government and the military. As reported earlier naval forces are being sent north to assist Domania and possible foreign intervention.
On a softer note this is the one year anniversary of C6 and a gathering of VIPs from all six member nations are gathering in Coventry, Covonant to celebrate this occasion. The importance to the Empire can only be shown by the delegation that the government has sent. The Suffet himself, the honorable Mycroft Adler is leading the delegation. accompanying him are both Wyatt Royds, Procurator of Foreign Relations for the Council, and Robert Talbot, Director of Foreign Affairs. This along should show both the people of the Empire and our allies in C6 how important our membership is. We can only hope that the meeting of C6 doesn't lead to a declaration of war on Roonean and her allies, that level heads will prevail, but as said before the Empire is ready for what ever happens.
May your prayers be heard and good night.

Mandatory vaccines for Year 11 Students under new government program.
Hauton, Ainslie

Following a successful trial of the vaccination program in Norlands, a government program which has been offering menACWY vaccines to the electorate is now being implemented at a national level. It involves a vaccine called Menatozol, which protects against four meningococcal strains (A,C,W and Y). Meningococcal is a petrifying disease, which has been worrying Ahnslen health officials for years but its threat is only now being fully realised. Meningococcal can cause blood poisoning but can also cause Meningitis, and cases are on the rise in Ainslie. In recent times, one of the most adverse strains, Meningococcal W, has become more prevalent in Ainslie which is a flesh eating strain of the disease. MenW was only previously contracted by tourists who left Ainslie and returned with it, but an increase in late-stage cases being reported has led it to the disease being circulated amongst the community, at a small and containable rate at this point.

In order to combat this, the Electoral Council mandated that all high school students in Year 11 must be vaccinated with Menatozol, unless health conditions prevent them from doing so. This is to create herd immunity in one of the most at risk age groups for this disease, due to the close contact that high school students have with one another. The first electorate to be vaccinated will be Wesland, with public health units made up of registered nurses to begin vaccinating students from the 10th of June. Armex Pharmaceuticals has produced this vaccine, and has stated that they are discounting it by 25% for the next two months, so governments, especially foreign governments, strongly consider programs to offer free vaccinations for students. This specific vaccine is being offered to Year 11 students, as it is not suitable for persons under the age of 15.

Ainslie seeks extradition of Murphy following uncovering of evidence
Mandurah, Ainslie

Following evidence uncovering an intended plot on Ahnslen targets, the Judicial Council is pursuing an extradition in order to charged white supremacist, Wolfgang Murphy. This information was retrieved from an undisclosed source, as per the standard for Ahnslen media publications regarding foreign intelligence. The Judicial Council, according to unknown sources, is opening an inquiry after bomb blueprints and a gun were found when the known terrorist was arrested in an airport in Blue Waters by local officials. He was travelling to Arnton, Ainslie.

The Central-East Isles Bar Association (CEIBA) is expected to be taking on the case, prosecuting in place of the state prosecutors due to the severity and complexities of the case.

Attorney General of Ainslie, Toby Hayles provided a statement today.

“We respectfully request the government of West Suomi to transfer custody of Wolfgang Murphy to our nation so he can stand trial for the crimes committed against both of our nations.”

Minister of Justice approves Ahnslen decision for Wolfgang Murphy to be extradited

Earlier today, the Suomian Minister of Justice, Nathan Finch, made the following statement in a national meeting,

"I believe that Ainslie should be permitted to take Mr. Murphy from us for a court case, as he was plotting an attack on Ahnslen soil, and thus should be convicted in Ainslie. If he does get charged, then he will also get charged for the attack in New Des Moines."

Many Ahnslens and Suomians alike are ecstatic about the decision, as it means that Wolfgang will receive what he deserves, and it is showing just how strong the Ainslie-Suomi relations have become.

Greater Cooperation with Aapelistanian Comrades
Image

In a raft of new legislature and diplomatic meetings with our comrades in New Aapelistan there have been several key gains made. We have, having met with honoured workers across both of our nations and organised for several common standards in machinery and agricultural practice to be followed across our nations. These shall improve harvests and overall production levels, with some analysts claiming that this will allow both nations up to 5% extra growth over this year. There have also been restructurings, allowing our two nations to more efficiently produce the necessary foodstuffs and raw materials needed for continued strength. The central committee have stressed that these steps are a move towards greater solidarity in the face of an increasingly militant capitalist world.
Image

Another area that greater cooperation has been aligned is military affairs. A cooperative defence treaty has been organised, whereby a violation of the sovereignty of one of our nations shall be regarded as a violation of both. A collective defensive command system has been organised, alongside a move that has led the Bhikkustani People's Liberation Army to adopt the organisation of the Aapelistanian People's Army. The types of rifle and ammunition used is being standardised as well. A united chain of command is being planned, and to test these changes a wargame is being planned in Bhikkustan to practice for war if it ever comes.

30th May 2017. Hyoto, Jypan.
During a meeting this morning with the Emperor and his ministers at the Royal Palace in Hyoto, it has been announced that Jypan is to reinstate the death penalty for capital crimes.

This announcement comes as the Emperor issues a zero tolerance policy on crimes of a capital nature. A rise in crimes such as first-degree murder, drug trafficking and terrorism has prompted the Jypanese Emperor to enforce new measures that will see an end to criminals enduring life imprisonment at the country's expense and instead be put to death by either firing squad.

At present, criminals convicted of such crimes are sent to a maximum security jail in the northern region for life sentences. They are never released until their deaths where they are cremated and either passed to a relative or buried at a private cemetery.

The new laws will stipulate that criminals convicted of capital crimes will be sent to a new facility for a period of no longer then one month. They will then be executed at the facility by Firing Squad at a specially constructed enclosure. The choice of execution method has been deemed appropriate as other methods were considered but rejected:
Electric Chair, an aging but trusted method was deemed too barbaric in the modern age. Hanging was also deemed too medieval, The Gas Chamber was considered but rejected on expense costs and precautions needed to carry out deaths by gas. Lethal Injection, a method used globally by death penalty nations was unanimously rejected due to the costs of manufacturing or importing the necessary drugs needed to complete executions.

Firing Squad will be completed by volunteers from the Jypanese Army. Nobody is compelled to undertake executions, but volunteers who partake will receive financial incentives for each completed execution and can be rotated to avoid traumatic stresses.

The Death Penalty will come into law on June 1st 2017. The first condemned man is thought to be 27yr old Jumi Hitogama, convicted of murder of a bank clerk during a failed robbery. Jypanese citizens are split on the new ruling with 50% for the death penalty and 50% against in a recent poll taken. Many of those against the ruling labelled it barbaric and going back in time for Jypan. Protests are expected outside the Royal Palace over the next few days with Hyoto Police being deployed to keep things as civil as possible.

The Emperor was recorded in saying that: "These new laws will deter crime and criminals against the state of Jypan, we will not tolerate crimes such as treason, terrorism, espionage, federal murder and large-scale drug trafficking in our proud and prosperous nation. Those who seek to commit such terrible crimes will be brought to justice and will pay the penalty".

The penalty being death...

Lardingo Record
Crystal City, Lardingo

Samudera's Head of State to visit Lardingo
The Lardian Department of Foreign Affairs announced today that Justuva Susanto, President of Samudera, will be traveling to Crystal City to meet with Chief Executive Renolds. Ben Harrison, Executive of Foreign Affairs, announced the news to the media in a press briefing this morning:
During the visit, President Susanto and Executive Renolds will discuss a possible economic agreement that is currently being worked out between our two countries. It is also expected the the two heads of state will talk about the current tensions between San Jimenez and Rooenan.

Samudera has always been intwined with Lardingo's history. At the end of the Samaderan Civil War, Prince Sri Galih Banser and a group of his supporters were exiled to Morrowdingo, now modern day Linder District. This set the stage for Lard's rebellion on Morrowdingo, and the second divergence. During Samudera's 1965 revolution, Lardingo supported a pro-capitalism rebel faction. When socialist rebel factions prevailed and implemented socialism in Sumadera, relations between the countries grew strained and tense. However in 1992, when Samudera's government loosened regulations on ideology and allowed private enterprise into the country, relations warmed. Since then Lardingo has been training and equipping Sumadura's reserve defense forces, and the two countries are looking to improve relations further.

Jes's COPAD candidates duke it out in 20 debates
Jes District held debates for it's COPAD election during the weekend. With 20 Council members up for re-election on Friday, 20 debates had to be crammed into a 48 hour period. From 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM for two days, debates were held back to back, each held for one hour. Candidates criticized the district government for the crammed schedule:

These hurried debates are proof that the district government is unable to give citizens the access to information that they need to be informed voters.
-May June, COPAD candidate.

During the debates the subject of the Sam Jimenez/Rooenan conflict was brought up many times. During Sub-district 7's debate the Libertarian incumbent and both independents emphasized neutrality, and Progressive Party candidate supported San Jimenez as did Horton Hollos from the National Party. Only Peace Laster declared her support for the Rooenan.

COA condems Rooenan
The Council of Approval passed a resolution condemning Rooenan 46-54 today, becoming the first part of the Lardian government to take an official stance of the crisis.

Todays Poll: Chief Executive Approval Rating

Approve: 54
Disapprove: 42
No Opinion: 4%

Analysis: It seems Eva Renolds has gotten a popularity boost after the Lardian government declared it's neutrality regarding the San Jimenez/Rooenan Crisis.

Hiwazan Palace Announces Impending Resignation from Reigning Tlahzheshi

This morning, Hiwazan Royal Palace Press Secretary, Anah Tlate, announced that the Tlahzheshi(tlah-zhe-she) will give a speech this Friday about his eventual abdication of the Throne. The sudden announcement sent shockwaves throughout the nation, catching most of the government off-guard in the midst of upcoming national elections.

Press Secretary, Anah Tlate, assured that a successor to the Tlahzheshate Throne will be announced during the Sovereign's speech, and plans for a coronation ceremony after the end of this year's national elections are being arranged. While the Palace will not give details regarding why Tlahzheshi Otolin is abdicating the throne, there is reason to believe the monarch has fallen to illness, however many point this out as an uncertainty, due to his spry age.

Royal Correspondent and former Palace Adviser, Pintzin Untumbi, comments on questions regarding the potential prospects for a heir. "It's indicative that it will definitely be someone from the Sishchiye line." she tells us. "They have ruled since the establishment of the Royal Federation and will likely continue the pattern of hereditary succession. It may be Lord Otolin's daughter who will succeed him. She is a spry, young and intelligent candidate. She has been on diplomatic tours, been a proponent in managing the Khustal Canal in recent years and has studied at the Oolek Temples as her little brother is doing now. Additionally, the people love her and she's a prime example of the even-handed judge and executive we need."

Hiwzan Palace has neither confirmed nor denied these speculations when asked, but the Press Secretary begs for patience from the media.

BREAKING NEWS: Valdr Maxwell Addresses Congress Over San Jimenez and the Cooperative Union
Winston Gorgovin, The Stellanova Times | May 31 2017

Image
East Wing of the Capitolia

- (Stellanova City, Tectonix) With the spring legislative session of the year almost complete, lawmakers on Capitol Knoll were quite excited to get back to their families and constituents once the final few bills of the National Assembly and Senate were being called. However, just before they left, Valdr Alexander Maxwell convened a joint session of Congress for a speech regarding Tectonix's increasing role in international politics.

The Valdr stood calmly before the assembled Assemblypeople and Senators in the Hall of Unity, the chamber used for Congressional joint sessions. What was reflective of the Valdr's character was his choice to give the speech in the well of the Hall, rather than on the dais overlooking it. Lawmakers were at eye level with their head of state, rather than looking up — Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzales of the National Socialist Party said that Valdr Maxwell had "displayed great character for addressing us from the well." Some members of the Tectonix First front, though, were not as complementary. TF Senator Richard Velesi stated that "this is nothing more than a political stunt from the [Valdr] to distract us from the important issues. All the more reason why this undignified globalist should be thrown out of the Capitolia entirely."

The Valdr spoke first on infrastructure spending on Vorai Island, before touching on San Jimenez. "Members of this esteemed Congress, Joint Resolution 12 will not go unheard. I have already instructed Chief Ambassador Entemont to conduct an investigation into the admission of this religious theocracy into [the Cooperative Union's] ranks, and I have personally made sure his team has the resources necessary to find the truth." San Jimenez was recently admitted into the Cooperative Union under heavy protest due to it being a strictly Catholic theocracy. A scandal arose when leaked documents showed that Chief Ambassador Entemont had been coerced by Chairwoman Ramerik of the Valdrian Council to vote in favour of San Jimenez's admission, despite of Congress voting against it by a massive margin. Valdr Maxwell suspended Chairwoman Ramerik of her duties for three weeks following that incident, in which she has apologised and voluntarily testified before the Senate Governmental Ethics Committee. Ramerik has since regained her job, but there is still suspicion regarding her actions.

Moving to the Cooperative Union as a whole, Maxwell stated that "The Union has now grown to be one of, if not the, largest international alliances on the face of the planet." The entire Congress rose in applause, with only the Tectonix First members not joining in. "Tectonix shall continue to reaffirm its commitment to the Cooperative Union, and see to its continued blossoming and prosperity."

Alpine weather passes, snow is left behind
Milton’s Crossing, Ainslie

Image

The cold front has officially passed Ainslie, and it will move out to the sea. As Arnton and Hauton struggled to go to work for the past few days, the Ranges were given a decent serving of snow, especially for Spring. Most areas along the Ranges received 5-15cm of snow, with even Hauton experiencing a small snowfall overnight. Apollo Pass was one of the big winners of this snow front.

‘We experienced a multitude of tourists visiting our resort, as well as others along the Ranges. It was a great thing for us and the economy. We received about 40cm over three days, and many enjoyed the conditions’
Tony Cenaris, Apollo Pass Management

The resorts were running a limited amount of resources, which are now closed for summer. The ski season is expected to return in early September.

'You’re kidding me’ Chermside to Journalist
Highland Ridge, Ainslie

Tristan Chermside visited Highland Ridge today, one of the first towns to be vaccinated under the new government scheme, to hold a press conference highlighting the benefits of the vaccine and why it is so important that community support is strong for this.

”It is clear that this is a serious issue which is happening, and now that we have the chance to make a difference and lessen the impact of the disease on our nation, we need to take that with both hands.”
Tristan Chermside, Health Minister

Chermside begun to answer questions from journalists which braved the cold morning to partake in a rare press conference by the Ministry of Health. Chermside was visibly unnerved and perplexed by the question.

”Q: There’s been reports regarding that this vaccination program is being conducted in order to control the population by injecting toxins into our youth. Is this true?”
Chermside:“You’re kidding me. Are you from the beet or something?”

KOTAPURA, Antana News Agency - Following the passing of Vaccination Law at Federal Assembly, it's now a mandatory for all schools across the country, either state or private school, giving free meningitis vaccines to every 11th graders unless medical records shows otherwise. A dangerous disease, it's an inflamation of membranes that the brain and spinal cord and affect the nervous system. Symptons include fever, severe and persisten headache, neck stiffness and pain that makes it difficult to touch your chin to your chest. Early treatment should render the disease ineffective, and vaccination will prevent most of meningitis cases. The mandatory vaccination is the menACWY types which protects against four meningococcal strains (A,C,W and Y). Recent vaccines issued by Armex Industry is used by the government to prevent and contain the spread of the disease. The Vaccination Law also included clauses several mandatory vaccination, including but not limited to Polio, Influenza and Tetanus which will be implemented soon, said the government officials.

Several protest had been filed to the Federal Assembly and government, citing that every parents had choices to vaccine or not, and this new laws had infringe their rights upon their child. Ministry of Health, Nurayu Diningtyah, said "It’s not about choice, it’s about the safety of other children at school". It had been long debated about the mandatory vaccination, and after years of struggle, the law passed slightly above quorum, 25 against 20. The influential health consultant Bagas Korta said that this is a big step for Samudera, citing the better generation that it would provide for the future.

POLITICS: Senate Votes Yes on Universal Healthcare
Winston Gorgovin, The Stellanova Times | June 1 2017

Image
Floor of the Tectonixian Senate

- (Stellanova City, Tectonix) After months of controversy and turmoil, the Senate voted 113 to 2 in favour of four massive bills that are set to transform the healthcare landscape of Tectonix.

Valdr Maxwell heralded the Senate's vote as "a clear message to the people of Tectonix that they will not be left behind," and all four bills were immediately afterwards signed into law on the front steps of the Valdrian Estate. Scores of supporters and media personnel were there to watch the Valdr sign the bills, as was nearly the entire Senate and forty-five National Assemblymen and women, which had already passed the bills by a slimmer margin back in April.

The most prominent of the four bills, the Universal Healthcare Act, did just that — Tectonix now is one of the only, if not the only, country that has instituted multi-payer universal healthcare in the region. For those not well-versed in healthcare terminology, multi-payer healthcare is essentially the same as single-payer healthcare: all Tectonixians are know part of a cheap, easily-accessible public option for their healthcare (the Government Office of Accountability released a statement that showed the public option was about 89% cheaper than what is currently privately offered). Risk management within the patient 'pool,' as the public option is sometimes referred to, is very good seeing as the entire country is the pool, and high-risk individuals' costs are spread out evenly so no one becomes overburdened.

However, there are still minor copays and deductibles to the public option, which some people may not want to pay. Private healthcare insurers are now gearing up to work alongside the government to provide their services, now secondary insurance, to those who don't want to pay the public fees. As well, basic healthcare providers have been nationalised, meaning that anyone that's ill, needs a surgery or other such kind of serious medical need can go to a good, government hospital. To ensure quality is not compromised, the Healthcare Protection Bureau was created to ensure regulatory standards and give out grants to hospitals with good ratings. If people don't want to be treated in the country, though, they can be connected with a State Department official to see what Cooperative Union countries they can be routed to.

The bills, however, didn't stop there. Æsthetic procedures, which are not covered under the public option, have opened up a large market for both private healthcare providers and private insurers. Strict anti-monopoly laws were put into place by the Private Healthcare Protection Act against any one or alliance of companies reigning supreme in the market, so competition has been heavily encouraged. Vaccines were also mandated for all born children, a provision that had widespread public support, though has seemingly caused some trouble in other countries. Pharmaceutical production for vaccines and other majorly life-saving medical utensils was recently nationalised and operated as worker cooperatives under the oversight of the federal government, with vaccines treating polio, MMR (measles, mumps and rubella), DTaP (Diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis), cholera, Hib, POX (chickenpox and smallpox), Hepatitis A and B, MenACWY, rotavirus and HPV being the first to be manufactured. Quality control has been designated to the Federal Medical Regulatory Bureau to oversee, and a slew of medical professionals from across the country have been called in to check for potential defects, contaminations or other such jeopardising risks.

AMCube-2 and TWI-wide CubeSat Project?

Image
The AMCube-1 satellite

NEW LIBANG

The government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Athara Magarat announced that the proposed AMCube-2 satellite would be launched within the year 2017. The satellite is expected to be powered by an electric solar wind-sail much like its predecessor the AMCube-1.

"Ever since the AMCube-1 was put in low-earth orbit in 2013, we have been planning to send another CubeSat out there," an anonymous spokeswoman from Space Administration of Athara Magarat (SAAM), which works under the Athara Magarati Ministry of Science and Technology, told the Herald.

The AMCube-1 project cost estimated 110,000 dollars and made international headlines when it was revealed that Athara Magarati university-level and high school students were behind its development. The AMCube-2 is being developed once again by Athara Magarati students and in near completion phase.

"The only thing remaining is to get the cube in space and for that we sincerely hope SACOM and CUAC will help us in that matter." The SAAM spokeswoman added.

She said that AMCube-2 will be deployed and it would charge a 300 m long wire which is also called ‘tether’. By interacting with the ionospheric plasma, the plasma brake will be able to de-orbit the satellite from 700 km altitude to 500 km in half a year.

Moreover, AMCube-2 project will allow to prepare for more ambitious missions outside the Earth’s magnetosphere where the E-sail will be tested in its authentic environment - the solar wind. The satellite bus which consists of electrical power system, communication system, on-board computer, and attitude control system is built and integrated to minimize the mass and volume. This would allow to host additional payloads and use the satellite bus as a platform for other missions, for example, Earth observation and interplanetary.

Finally, the government of Athara Magarat also made it clear that they are willing to work together with other nations for a special science project that would benefit all Isles nations and humanity. To clarify the government's position, the Hang, Purna Sura Paija himself addressed the nations of the Isles.

"We all know that CubeSats are cheap, small and easy to use, which is obvious to everyone." The Hang stated. "The Democratic Republic of Athara Magarat proposes for all nations of the Isles to unite in this mission. Let us all contribute at least one CubeSat if possible and create an international network of satellites in low-earth orbit focused on researching the mysteries of our great planet and the unfathomable space outside. Together would we be able to unravel greatest mysteries and make new discoveries. Together would we reach the final frontier at affordable costs and joint cooperation. Together we will bring forth and spread our unite vision, shared goals and a common dream."

"It does not matter what religion is dominant in your nation, what culture your nationality have or what ideology your government has. What matters is that we must move forward. And we will move forward together! This common Isles initiative will show the whole world what we can do when united. And for that, we need support of each and every nation of our beautiful Isles which we all call our home. Join us in this venture. Let us prove that mankind has what it takes to do the impossible. Somebody once said that hell would freeze if all Isles nations got united. It is time that the burning inferno of hell froze."

Ainslie's Armex-made vaccines get permission for nation-wide vaccination program

MYAGDI ISLAND

The government of Athara Magarat has announced that it would allow Menatozol vaccines developed by Armex Pharmaceuticals to be used for a nation-wide vaccination program against four meningococcal strains (A,C,W and Y). Like in Armex's home nation Ainslie and Samudera, the Menatozol vaccines are compulsory for all 11th Grade students as they are not suitable for individuals below the age of 15.

"The vaccines are mandatory for everyone unless of some rare cases." The Ministry of Health said a statement. "Armex has fortunately given 25% discount for two months and with their branch in Myagdi Island also producing the vaccines, we hope to have all Athara Magarati 11th Graders vaccinated by that time duration."

"Meningococcal disease can refer to any illness caused by the type of bacteria called Neisseria meningitidis also known as meningococcus . These illnesses are often severe and can be deadly. They include infections of the lining of the brain and spinal cord (meningitis) and bloodstream infections (bacteremia or septicemia). These bacteria spread through the exchange of respiratory and throat secretions like spit (e.g., by living in close quarters, kissing). Signs and symptoms of meningococcal disease are usually sudden onset of fever, headache, and stiff neck. It can start with symptoms similar to influenza (flu), and will often also cause nausea, vomiting, increased sensitivity to light, rash, and confusion. Doctors treat meningococcal disease with antibiotics, but quick medical attention is extremely important. Hence we are conducting a nation-wide program to use Menatozol vaccines in defense against meningococcal disease."

Churches Across San Jimenez Call For Peace Between Governments of Rooenan and San Jimenez

Image

As countless nations have declared their support for the nations of Rooenan or San Jimenez, military deployments have been made throughout the northern seas of The Western Isles. As airfields and the Navy have been called to action in the defense of a possible Rooenan invasion of the island, churches across the nation have called for actions of peace to be taken between the two nations before any blood is spilled in an armed conflict. Many in Gran Teran are considering a second set of peace talks to take place and politicians of Rooenan have suggested a third party reviewing the proposed peace talks. Signs saying statements such as "Pray For Peace" have been seen around the country on many churches and large cathedrals. Many daily masses have been dedicated to praying for peace in the north and some have been televised as well. A priest in Daniel County had this to say about the conflict:
I have prayed day and night that this conflict may be resolved peacefully and without bloodshed. As tensions continue to rise and nations announce their support, it becomes apparent that a war would be devastating to the people of The Western Isles. I believe that the politicians in Gran Teran need to find a way to resolve this peacefully. We must put aside the differences of our people and work together to achieve peace between our nations. I would like to persuade all Christians around The Western Isles to pray for peace so that no man will have to experience the horrors of war.

Many representatives of the church have addressed their concerns in the capital and have encouraged the followers of the church to do the same. The president has a scheduled meeting in Covonant to address the issue on June 5th. The Congressional Branch is in much debate right now of conducting a second set of peace talks and the chance of success it could possibly have.

Xerexhēni Amidala Signs Dozens of New Laws that Will Prevent Another Civil War

| THŒLANIS's THĖDA PALACE PRESS ROOM, EAST WING 8:30 AM | In the aftermath of the Third Ecumenian Civil War (of 2017), the two week conflict concluded that the inherent supremacy of the Ekumeni Peoples was continued through the Divine Manifestation through the Xerexhēni (Queen) of Ecumeneia. The Ancient Monarchy reestablished its supremacy by defeating the weak socialist militants and their separatist allies - but with that, the death of almost 120,000 Civilians, and 98,000 Militants saw the most devastating event in recent Ecumenian history. The Xerexhēni, in accordance to her solemn oath, has passed a series of laws limiting the power of the Trien Council (ie: removing its paramilitary organizations, checking the power of the Xerexōn, etc) and has established the official definitions of the Statute of Autonomies (Yeneralitat ge Autonomihas) towards the Vœ and Šaįhizi peoples. A series of harsh retributive measures have been placed on the two minority groups, with the Šaįhizi peoples' rights towards all oil, coal, and other essential minerals being revoked by the Trien Council. Apart from the Tribal reduction, there have been talks of banning the Vœ Ekumi language - the principal language of the Vœ peoples of the Keremaiyan, Amalian, and Anleran provinces. The Mantle Council has also been reinstated as an advisory organ, and it gained a series of powers in order to counteract the losses of the Trien Council and the gains of the Monarchy. These continued policies have brought a new government into Ecumeneia - one focused on the blessings of the Union that is the Ecumenian Commonwealth and the powers of the ancient Monarchy. |

Lode Park Riots- 50 Years On

Verona Beach- Today marks the 50 year anniversary of the beginning of the Lode Park Riots, a series of race riots in the poorest district of Verona Beach. They are sometimes considered the largest riots in Verona Beach's history. The riots lasted from June 2nd until June 14th and caused millions of pounds in damages. The causes of the riots was an executive order by the government of F.W. MacAnderson, enforcing racial quotas for all businesses, not just government jobs as before. The people strongly disagreed with these policies, and protests broke out across the whole country during the whole month of May. The protests were eventually taken over in Lode Park by protesters under the militant Polynesian Liberation Party. Under their leadership, the protests quickly spiraled into riots. The riots spread from Marshal Square outwards, radiating across the Ward. Police forces were helpless to respond, and the military was slow as well. Whole city blocks burned, one of which has been left as it was as a memorial. Eventually, standoffs occurred, and shootings by the Army began on June 10th. The riots eventually ended due to the sheer brutality of the military. The blood spilled on the roads at this time is what is credited as giving the Red Tarmac Era its name. The riots are not credited as making any significant difference in government policies, however, F.W. MacAnderson's regime was ended in 1970 due to the tense racial relations made prevalent during the riots.

Prime Minister holds press briefing on CU Leaders Summit

Image

Prime Minister Imperatus Marl returned back to Coventry late yesterday evening after concluding his trip to Noronica for the Cooperative Union Leaders Summit. This morning the Prime Minister held a press briefing inside the Palatine Manor Press Room. At the briefing the Prime Minister sought to give an account of the Summit and what was expressed. Prime Minister Marl reported that Covonant and other CU member states will be looking at continuing the purpose of the CU while implementing few measures that could see the CU strengthen.

My presence at the Summit held in Port Sinare saw my representation introducing new proposals to the CU. But I want to make it clear that though new proposals and ideas were made not only by me but other CU leaders, we all had an understanding that the CU had to undergo new structures that would only see it strengthened but even in the face of change the organisation which all leaders agree to will remain true to the mission and perceived goals.

Prime Minister Marl noted that discussions ranged from the strengthening of CU immigration laws, investment purposes on a union wide basis and a defensive unit of the agency. In talking on the defense unit of the CU, the Prime Minister expressed that its aim is not to mirror the C6.

We the leaders of the CU see a need for the organisation having some defensive arm that will aid in defense of member states and act as a peacekeeping force in the event a member state calls on the CU to provide such service. We all noted the nature that this initiative may take, and I made it extremely clear that the defensive unit should not mirror the C6. I have so far informed Mrs. Silvania who is our representative to the CU to begin making drafts for a resolution to take to the CU chamber as it is something that I think would be of tremendous benefit to one of the most influential institution in the region

Many have however criticised the Prime Minister's trip to Noronica, including criticism from the Opposition Leader Crassus Gais who has suggested that the trip would bring nothing new to Covonant. Not responding directly to the Opposition Leader, Prime Minister Marl expressed that the CU is not about one country and the benefit of one country but for all 12 member states in the bloc.

I have been hearing talks from persons within the political arena stating that my time at the summit was wasted, that I was needed in Covonant to manage the country, and that out of the summit Covonant stands to gain nothing. I will say in no simpler term that such remarks are foolish and the individuals that have expressed these remarks one would think are foolish. Firstly the CU is not Covonant's own to exploit and quite frankly the structure of the organisation prevents one state benefiting more than the other. It is an alliance that has balanced out its operations, so if Covonant benefits then all 12 member states benefits and vice versa. But this talk of a waste of time is nonsense. We are members of the CU and if there is an event of the CU then it concerns us.

Prime Minister Imperatus Marl is facing serious political backlash during the election season with the Opposition campaigning around the country removing from many international organisation. The Prime Minister addressed those issues.

In a world where countries are becoming less protectionist and more global and relying on allies and trading partners, it would be a very malignant policy that any Covonantian government could think to implement. My government will not entertain such conversations.

The Prime Minister is expected to go on a national tour as election day draws nearer.

Opposition Leader proposes new travel measures

Image

Opposition Leader Crassus Gais at a rally in Jueverna Ailis, a stronghold for the CCP in his bid to give support to nominee Kentli Azaka who is running for MP expressed that the country needs stronger immigration implementation. He is calling for the government to impose measures to allow Covonantian immigration officers the right to access social media accounts and personal private information of persons looking to travel to Covonant.

The measures imposed by the government to protect our borders and vet those entering Covonant is a proposal that is all bark with no teeth. How can we be so sure that persons entering our country are not terrorist and bad people with the intent to do bad things. The TAIA needs more funding but our laws need to be revised and made stronger. I am calling on the government to implement new measures that would allow for all Covonantian embassies that processes visas to have the ability to request social media accounts and passwords and to request personal information on all persons who wish to travel to Covonant. We have to do this for our safety. It has to be done, right across the board no exceptions

Mr. Gais expressed that Covonantians should start looking out for their interest. He is campaigning on the mantra of being the Covonantian who will "Put Covonant First". He notes that if the government fails to review TAIA, he would have to do it himself when his party wins.

I am making a public declaration that you can trust me to put Covonant first. I love the Western Isles, I love all our allies but I love Covonant more. If we do not look out for our interest no one will. If the government does not have the balls to implement those measures, fear not for when the CCP is declared the winner on July 3rd I will make sure it is at the top of my to do list among others

Already many have expressed uncertainty with what a policy like this could to the country's travel arrivals and the country's image abroad. Former Director of the Diplomatic Council Gabriel Scenia expressed that such policies would be damaging to the country's economy and may lead to a chain reaction from other states.

It is the stupidest policy, I have ever heard a member of the Consul propose, and the sad thing about it is that its not a ordinary member but its a man who could become our next prime Minister. A policy that sees the government allowing our immigration officers the ability to invade travellers privacy though not illegal under Covonantian laws as he hasn't stated if Covonantians would be affected if so then its unconstitutional of course, but what about the CU. I am sure the other 11 member would raise hell about it. But let's just say everyone is quiet about it and its implemented what we can expect to see is a decrease in travellers to the country which will decrease revenues made from tourism. It is madness. I am more so surprised that his party still has him as the forerunner.

Foreign Minister Tilonius Vesa agreed with the Opposition Leader that the laws need to be strengthened but he is not in support with the proposal.

I admit our immigration laws needs some more review and update but to propose that we invade the privacy of foreigners looking to travel to Covonant I see some legal issues concerning that if not for other states, definitely the CU. Its not something we would explore.

Prime Minister Marl urges supporters to stand up against xenophobia

Image

Prime Minister Marl after returning to Covonant last night made his appearance at a political rally in Coventry where he pledge his support for DPP nominee for the Alston Row division Caralstein Denia. The Prime Minister in his address his urging supporters to take a stand against xenophobia.

As we all can see, that this election will redefine who we are as a country and people or will see us continue on the path set forth by my government. We can't tell ourselves that we are people who believe in democracy and freedom and respect for all but at the same time act in a way that displays us with a mentally that tells others we are exceptional or we are better. Xenophobia is not what this country was built on. We must do all in our power to ensure that xenophobia does not take over

Prime Minister Marl expressed that the policies of his government have made Covonant respected around the region and he intends to keep those policies while implementing more that safeguards the liberties of all Covonantians while ensuring major benefits are brought to the people.

The work of the government is not finished. We have done a lot together over the past five years and we have much more to do. Do not listen to talks of Covonant being weak. You know, when I travel to other countries, Covonant is seen as an example, a beacon of hope, a light that is ever shining on the darkness of evil. We are not weak, we are respected. And if the Opposition should equate respect for weak, and make speech that does not define who we are as a people, then I believe they are afraid of respect. They believe that it is better to be feared. But I say to all democrats, that being feared only last for a moment, being respected can last for eternity. My government will ensure that your rights are safeguarded, that your issues are dealt with and that the benefits all Covonantians deserves are given. We have more work to do. Stand up against xenophobia and vote for the DPC.

Be sure to stay tune to the CBC as we bring three nights of live debate from June 24-26 where key nominees will be asked questions from Covonantians with the final two nights being debated between the leaders of the two party.

DO REMEMBER YOU ARE WITH THE CBC.

POLITICS: Valdr Maxwell Holds Press Conference on CU Commission
Winston Gorgovin, The Stellanova Times | June 2 2017

Valdr Maxwell in the anteroom of the National Assembly

- (Stellanova City, Tectonix) In the Press Chamber of the Capitolia, Valdr Maxwell gave some statements regarding his recent meeting with Chief National Ambassador Daniel Entemont, who has been spearheading the Tectonixian delegation at the Cooperative Union Commission.

With regards to my colleague, Ambassador Entemont, I think he's been doing a great job. As you know, Tectonix has become the first submitter of a legislative resolution in the CU's history, and our funding for the OSA and CUAC is at an all-time high.

Asked about Tectonix's absence from the recent Cooperative Union Leaders' Summit, the Valdr had this to say:

Unfortunately I will admit to purposefully not attending the summit. I had a lot of preparations to do with Senate Majority Leader Grassley with regards to our healthcare bills, and I as much as I would've loved to be at the summit, I had to put Tectonix on the top of my priorities.

BREAKING NEWS: Tectonix Drops Investigation into San Jimenez, Diplomatic Ties Offered
Esteban Rodriguez, The Stellanova Times | June 2 2017

Image
Chief National Ambassador Entemont During a Press Conference in the Cooperative Zone

- (Coventry, Covonant) After weeks of rumors and whispers around the Cooperative Zone, Chief National Ambassador and head of the Tectonixian CU delegation Daniel Entemont has come out before the press and stated once and for all: the investigation into San Jimenez has concluded, with no select committee or charges necessary.

Entemont stated that "upon careful review of the provided material by the San Jimenez government and the Cooperative Union, it has been the unanimous consensus among my advisory committee, including myself, that no charges of misconduct be brought against San Jimenez over their admission into the CU, nor a select committee be called to investigate the matter." The investigation had been conducted independently by the Department of Foreign Relations, and if charges were indeed possible, a select committee of the CU would've been called.

This comes on the heels of Entemont introducing a resolution to establish a legal framework for the CU Commission, elaborating on its functionalities from the Treaty of Coventry. The resolution is currently pending debate.

During the same bombshell announcement, Ambassador Entemont went on to say that "San Jimenez is trying to rid itself of it deeply oppressive theocratic past, and Tectonix holds itself to the highest regards of secular ethics. It is these ethics that we live by everyday that has compelled me to extend the olive branch of peace to San Jimenez, and to invite their president to a state visit with Valdr Maxwell."

A spokesman for the Valdrian Estate confirmed the validity of Entemont's claims, meaning that President Hernandez of San Jimenez will be hosted in Tectonix for a state visit. More on that tomorrow.

Michigonia Hosts PM of Ainslie, Announce Free Trade Agreement

Alland-Prime Minister Andrew Kenzai of Ainslie concluded his state visit in Roggedam today, where he and President Carlos Torres gave concurring remarks at a press conference. The two leaders congenially affirmed their mutual friendship and commitments to the security and economic cooperation of Gael.

On Thursday, following meetings and introductions at the Federal Capitol in Alland, the Prime Minister visited the University of Zeelandia to meet with Ahnslen students studying in Michigonia. There he announced a visa-free program between the nations, allowing citizens of both nations to visit the other without visa requirements for 6 months. In the evening, the leaders attended a student choral programme at the University.

Friday's visit included a trip north to Roggedam, where the envoys met engineers to inspect the dikes and sea-level management networks. At the VanHornn docks, the Prime Minister and President held a joint press conference after announcing a sweeping free-trade agreement pending ratification in their respective legislatures. The agreement effectively eliminates tariffs and quotas on trade between the two nations, which economists expect will provide a boost in traffic at Michigonia's already busy ports, as the economy of Ainslie is over twice the size of Michigonia's.

The visit takes place during the first two days of nationally sanctioned election season, which pundits expect will provide a boost to the continually popular Liberal-Conservative governing coalition. President Torres is expected to utilize his 60% approval rating to campaign for Christian Democrat Santos Machado, the CDU nominee for Calionte's Federal Council seat, who is polling with a slim lead ahead of the Liberal Party's Julia Hernandes.

Attack in Summerland Possibly Involved Ticking Flu; Link Made to Yorkford Bombing

Police were called to the busy streets of Summerland this morning after multiple 511 calls came in with citizens concerned that a group of six men were seen purposefully coughing, spitting, and sneezing on and around large groups of tourists and vacationers at one of Summerland's tourism districts. When confronted by police first responders, witnesses say members of the group revealed a series of knives and small arms, and charged at the police. Two policemen were injured, while three of the men were killed, the rest fleeing and later being captured two miles away on the beach.

Citizens are concerned that the attackers may have been affected with the Ticking Flu and been purposefully trying to spread it at Summerland, one of Vancouvia's busiest hot spots, now in the middle of its vacation season. Although Decontamination and Containment Teams (DCT) arrived at Summerland within two hours, there is still a strong worry that the disease may have spread to dozens or even hundreds of vacationers.

Although the attackers have not offered an explanation and no group has claimed responsibility, police have learned that they are native Athara Magaratis, and arrived to Vancouvia on board a small fishing boat roughly 36 hours ago, which had departed from the I.D. hours before. This raises more concerns about whether Vancouvia should be shutting down its borders to countries severely impacted by the disease, such as Atnaia and the I.D., although Congress has yet to act in regards to this issue.

Many are calling the Summerland attack terrorism, and linking it with the North Yorkford bombing that occurred less than a month prior. Photos and videos have leaked of both series of attackers, with some making comparisons to their language, skin tone, movements, weapons, and stature, with theorists posing that both attacks originated from Athara Magarati and were possibly perpetrated by SHOCK.

Congress has sent a formal request to the Athara Magarati government for any information on these nationalists. The VNA has begun implementing a more through coast guard rotation, while a significant portion of the Yukon UAV fleet has been shifted to border security operations.

Lardingo Record
Jes District, Lardingo

National Party gains COPAD seats in election in surprising win, Libertarian Party sees big victories, Communist Party wins first seat and Progressives suffer losses.

In todays referendum, in a stunning turn of events, the Lardian National Party won 4 of Jes's 20 COPAD seats. Although the LNP had seen a rise in support according to polls, few analysts predicted that they would actually win any seats. The LNP has always been considered a local party, although it has some power in district legislatures it has never controlled seats federally. The National Lardian Party's platform includes expanding the federal government with more power focused in the executive branch. They also support more military spending, invasive police surveillance regarding crime prevention, and an aggressive foreign policy.

The Libertarian Party also saw gains. They held 5 of their current 6 COPAD seats in Jes, gained 3 more. The Progressive Party saw the biggest losses tonight, losing 2 of their 4 seats. The Lardian Communist Party also celebrated the winning of their first COPAD seat as well, snagging Sub-District 2. Independently affiliated council members have seen their numbers in Jes dwindle to 5. The official results were announced a few minutes ago.

AM and Vancouvia to work on terror issue?

Image
The Hang of Athara Magarat upon returning to New Libang.

NEW LIBANG

The government of the Democratic Republic of Athara Magarat has stated that it is willing to work with Vancouvia in regards to the recent spree of terror attacks in the latter. The official statement from the government condemned the terror attacks in Yorkford and Summerland.

"The Athara Magarati condemn terror acts of all sorts in any nation." An anonymous government official told the Herald. "Our government is willing to work with allied nations and states affected by terrorist activities in curbing terrorism and launching counter-terrorist operations."

The Hang also gave a media conference condemning the terror attacks in Vancouvian soil; moments after he returned to New Libang from the CU Leader's Summit.

"Our hearts cry with those who lost their near and dear ones in Yorkford a month earlier. And frankly I am embarrassed by what happened in Summerland. Our government has been trying to contain Ticking Flu with strict health regulations and some Athara Magarati citizens were trying to spread that disease to a healthy nation with unknown motives."

"But I call on the Vancouvian people to not be judge all Athara Magarati citizens with the same lens as the lunatics trying to spread Ticking Flu. While SHOCK may have been behind the terror attack in Yorkford, there is no solid proof that our citizens were there with guns. They could have been anyone. They could have been (I am extremely sorry to name them but) disgruntled Arvanans, minority Covonantians, radical Akaris or Bhikkustani refugees whom we have let down, not just Athara Magarati citizens."

"Athara Magarati government would like to once again request all Isles nations to strictly monitor Athara Magarati tourists visiting your nations. We assure you that there is minimal terrorist element present among Athara Magarati citizens. Athara Magarat National Army, Armed Police Force and local police are working hard day and night to track and detain suspected SHOCK sympathizers. While I can say with 100% proof that SHOCK started in Athara Magarat (a fact that remains a shame to our democratic socialist republic), it is more active in Juverna, in Arvan and in Bhikkustan than in Athara Magarati soil. But that does not excuse us and we are willing to take extreme measure to bring down terrorism of all sorts. We have agreed provide Vancouvia with the names of shortlisted individuals who are certified terrorists. In return, we want the Athara Magarati individuals arrested in Summerland to be handed over to Athara Magarati authorities to ensure that they would be dealt and punished severely with Athara Magarati law."

"May the heavens bless us all; especially the poor souls in Yorkford and Summerland who had to witness gruesome terrorist acts."

Protests Erupt Amidst Foreign Reaction to Attack

The Vancouvian Congress issued a statement this evening that "...although we appreciate the condolences from Athara Magarat... we will not commit ourselves to unreasonable and brazen demands," in reference to the demand that the attackers be transferred to Magarati custody. Congress went on to add that the attackers will be held in Vancouvia indefinitely and that any and all accomplices will be discovered and apprehended as well. Raids in multiple neighborhoods of the I.D. have already occurred, and the owner of the boat that the attackers used to travel to Vancouvia has been arrested.

"They're really just not in a position to make demands," said William Shapiro, political commentator. "Congress has taken great heed to not immediately react against this terrorist group - and the nations that willfully harbor, and maybe even dare I say, assist them."

Demonstrations in the streets of the Trio Cities erupted this evening almost instantly in reaction to the Libang news report. Sentiments range from anger to disgust, as thousands march in front of the Capitol Building, Lexington City Hall, and Yorkford University. A catalyst to the contempt occurred when members of an online website discovered that the Libang Herald photo of the Athara Magarat army arresting a suspected SHOCK member was well over two years old.

"We want peace. We want to be able to take walk down our streets without some diluted wackos from the tail end of the region shooting us or spitting in our faces. We demand it." A man identified to us only as Arnie was among the marchers. "It's time for Congress to start taking these threats seriously. I don't want to wake up tomorrow to see another bomb went off or some new disease got unleashed on my family. No, fuck that."

As political pressure builds on Congress, the Senators have initiated an emergency all-night session to convene and decide on an appropriate course of action.
