I am honoured to be in a room filled with patriotic Covonantians who have done so much to carry out the diplomatic work and representing Covonant in foreign countries such as Ainslie. I know it must be hard being away from home, your friends and loved ones but I send a message from Covonant that your work is appreciated. I know I am Minister of Defense and not Foreign Affairs so when I see the work carried out by the Covonantian Diplomatic corp,it really hits me that you guys do a lot, and I know its not easy especially in the nature of our region and the instability and being unsure of what will occur next, but you all are special and the work you do are special
I know the international community and Covonatians want to know militarily what is our position. I know Minister Vesa spoke to the Rooenanians yesterday and expressed that we do not want a conflict. And he is in his right to state that. As Defense Minister however, I can express that our military is well capable and equipped to lending needed support to San Jimenez. We are hopeful that a peace agreement will be signed but if not we are ready.
This is not a rushed visit, it had been planned for roughly a week now. It is not a state visit as the Overseer will not be received by the Prime Minister nor the President but will be received by the Foreign Minister
This visit will stand as a true testament to Covonant's ability and will to cooperate and coexist with states that have different views and ideologies. On the agenda expected to be discussed will be the conflict concerning Rooenan and San Jimenez as well as Covonant's relation with the Communist world and the extent of Covonantian foreign policies concerning communist states
-Jenina, Coventry ResidentThis visit is an insult to San Jimenez and Covonantian allies. This should have never even been contemplated
-Mishka, Coventry ResidentI am anxiously awaiting July 3rd when I can vote out this government. They don't know what they stand for
-Cimantha, Coventry ResidentI have decided to come out and protest because I feel angered that the government would be mad to allow those Communist dogs to come here. We are sending a message to them that we don't want them here.
How disgraceful it is for Covonant to host the leader of a Communist state. This has never happened in our history, but leave it to the DPC to be so liberal that they would probably give a government post if possible to a dog seeing they believe in full rights and equality. Its madness. The Most honourable Prime Minister has been silent, sipping champagne and eating cake over in Noronica, while his Foreign Minister who has been left in charge of the government is kissing everyone's A$$. This madness would have never happened if my party was in government. I would tell that Communist idiot to shove it.
This government does not have the backbone fit to lead. Its like they are afraid, they haven't even used some show of force to let the Isles know we are serious. We talk too much...too much diplomacy. I want action. And I would be very surprised if this government gave me that.

"Taking in consideration that the protest was planned to be pacific and with other purposes, the Military Police and the Marian Royal Army were contacted to do what defense corporations should do; to repress actions of violence, vandalism, disrespect, the damaging of public patrimony and the aggression of common citizens that are the municipal guard of Fortaleza. Our security institutions only acted to maintain the values of our constitution, that order they to guaranty the law and order"

"I believe the government needs to take action against the hostile communists governments that threaten our nation. They have shown they intend not only to relive the SLSJ terrorists but also to completely eradicate our way of life. We need to take action and fast!"
-Protester in Gran Teran
"I was appalled by the declaration of war by the government at the time it took place. But when I saw footage of the communists cheering and applauding the destruction of mock versions of churches, I had a accurate idea of why they issued such a declaration. The hostile communists do not intend to keep peace but destroy it where it exists. I wake up every Sunday to go to church and no person will ever keep me from doing just that. I think it's time for San Jimenez to wake up and take action against this horrific event."

Covonant today welcomes the Overseer of Al-Yashir. We are using this visit as an opportunity to show the isles that as a country we are not xenophobic towards other whose views are different from ours but serve to find that similar theme in both of us that we can establish in working to coexist peacefully.
Covonant undoubtedly supports our ally San Jimenez, but while we support San Jimenez we are not supportive of this incident becoming a large scale war. Covonant and our allies have done our best in ensuring that peace remains in the Isles and we will continue on that path
The Covonantian government and people and peoples of liberal democratic states around the region, condemns the actions that took place in Al-Yashir with the burning of church replicas as a show of mocking an ally of Covonant. The actions portray a wrong message to other states and should be viewed as an embarrassment especially when countries are trying to find a peaceful route to the conflict. With the presence of the Al-Yashir Overseer, I would implore for you and your government to use your role as members of the communist world and good relations with Rooenan and other communist states to find a peaceful solution to the conflict. Promoting war is never good especially when it involves major powers that could cause widespread damage and death. Covonant will do everything in our power to ensure it does not come to that.
Why must we attend. We do not support Communist countries, and we certainly would not shake hands with the devil. Covonant is sending a chilling message to our allies when we allow communist countries to visit our senior government officials. I will not take any part in it
It baffles me of how one-sided and close-minded the Opposition Leader can be at times. What the government is doing is trying to play the diplomatic cards right. Covonantian leadership is needed to calm the tides not to irritate the situation that could blow any minute. I believe the government is being sensitive towards regional affairs and are staying the course carefully. They know that their response is being observed and scrutinized locally and regionally. And how they play this card may affect them come election day and I think it is something etched in the minds of the DPC.
Covonant has a rich historical tradition of wanting to live in a world that is stable and peaceful as we have come to know that it is only then do societies and civilizations flourish. With our intent of establishing a presence in the Gael area marks only but a true testament to that cause which we have valiantly undertaken.
I must state that our will to establish our presence around the Isles must not be a move mistaken of Covonant wanting to dominate, rather it must be viewed as Covonant's will and pursuit to cooperate. To lend meaningful support to our regional partners and allies especially those in the Gael area whom Covonant enjoys mutual respect and partnership with. We hope from this venture it would lead to even greater cooperation and an increase in Covonant's role in spreading the doctrine of peace and stability. We hope with this move it can instill in the Gael area the solidifying of our liberal and democratic values that have made our nations and societies flourish. We also hope that with this agreement we can have the containment of the Communist world and use our influence to bring them to a path of good.
We have ensured that our presence around the Isles covers the entire region. No other state in the region has made that a policy or a foreign policy. I believe it sets us up for having problems come up at our doorstep. I am not in favour of all these bases that we have established. Are our investments in these bases wise and good. What have we gotten to show for these bases. We are so quick to defend a foreign territory and we can't defend our own country from terrorism. That to me is a failed policy. We are becoming too involved in regional affairs and less focused on our domestic issues.
I am shocked to having heard my counterpart in Ventlimer a neighbour of Covonant express that the Covonantian government which I lead is meddling in the internal affairs of the country's political system, with what he describes as an attempt to influence the election results of the country. I say unequivocally that that is plain ridiculous. Covonant respects all states sovereignty and would be foolish to try to interfere in the political operatives of a foreign state
These are serious allegations being made by a foreign state and we as the opposition have to be mindful of these allegation. We will be taking a petition to the Consul to have those allegations investigated jointly by FICA and the IDC. We need to know how true those allegations are if true at all.
