Bringing my daughter Júlia to here, i can show some of our roots, and i expect she to be proud of say she's a Marian"

"We are continuing happy the travel" said the sailor apprentice Ernesto Barros " The entire crew is satisfied with the work we did here, showing our traditions and these things... What?... Oh... Race Tightens as Liberal Candidates Tie

A new poll conducted by Areguelista 24 shows Socialist candidate Marina Lacasa, widely expected to win this month's election, tied with the PDP's Adriana Laguna and independent candidate Saúl Quesada as first choices, each holding 27% of the vote. Conservative Juan Diego Muñoz places fourth with 16% of voters likely to vote for him as their first choice. All other candidates make up the remaining 3%. Despite falling back in the polls, Areguelista 24 gives Lacasa a 61% chance of winning the election.

Royal Owinn Army Seizes Rebellious Wexfordsen

Image
An ROA tank in its rapid advance towards Wexfordsen.

According to the military, elements of the Royal Owinn Army 3rd Infantry Division, supported by armored vehicles, have been met with success along the northeast Highland coast. The force made a dash along the coast facing Carrighinnis. Highland separatists attempted to resist the thrust but were unable to keep Ahernric troops from capturing the town of Wexfordsen.

It is believed that Owinn troops are already working their way roughly northwards, inland and up the heights. Once successful, they would strategically cut off a section of the Highlands, making it less of a threat. Chulainn NaAchill has already capitalized on the victory with a brief comment. "We've taken Wexfordsen, we're going to cut them off, and then we're going to take Damhford." As the birthplace of the insurrection, Damhford is the obvious goal for this initial military campaign.

Military leadership and personnel alike are questioning the location of the traitorous Highland Regiment, which deserted the Royal Owinn Army to fight for the Highland extremists. A unit of Gurkha troops, who were attached to the 42nd Owinnorse Highlanders, chose to stay loyal to the ROA. They have been questioned about possible locations and other information about their former parent unit, though their answers have not been released. Today they were commended by the Ahern for their loyalty, who he designated as The Ahernric Gurkhas. The Ahernric Gurkhas are styled after the Gurkhas of Athara Magarat, and are known to be excellent soldiers. Though led by a few Magarati officers, most are believed to be of Khas Kirati descent and originate from other nations besides Athara Magarat. The Ahern is confident that they will be effective in countering the Highland Regiment traitors.

Official Government Estimate: 21,257 Trafficked Victims Dead

20:38 - At a news debriefing earlier today, the transitional council released their first estimate on the number of dead refugees in the country, setting the bar at a staggeringly high, 21,257, a figure that has risen nearly 6,000 in the past week. The council ominously added that the death toll may reach a significantly higher figure if the government is unsucessful in its search and rescue efforts.

Dozens of Undocumented Trafficked Peoples & Bodies were Found in the Basement of this Abandoned Warehouse in an Urban Prairie in Northern Amravarti

A raid on an abandoned warehouse in the old industrial quarter in Northern Amravarti captivated national attention yesterday for the trove of abusive horror that was uncovered. A total of 117 dead bodies were found, and an additional 34 young people of varying ages, ranging from 6 to 31, were found to be suffering severe nutrient deficiency in nonhygenic conditions. All of trafficked victims found alive were rushed to a local hospital as nearly every individual was found to have life threatening injuries or other ailments caused by extended abuse.

It is currently rumored that 6 local citizens were responsible in the imprisonment and torture of these undocumented people, and used the warehouse to keep trafficked peoples for organ harvesting and other illicit activities on the dark web. Amravarti Police declined to reveal the identities of these individuals as per the current directive set by the transtional council, which prioritizes the rescue of victims of trafficking over the prosecution of Bhumhalese citizens involved in the ordeal.

So far, the government has succesfully rescued a total of 7,328 trafficked peoples, of which a sizeable number are in intensive care units across the nation.

Words do not mean, they act...

Nothing -- When one is for nothing, all the troubles of the mind inherited from the world fall away, and a concise consciousness will give you everything you wish for...

Nothing -- For if one is against nothing, there exist no enemy to subjugate, but only an infinite number of friends which right logic must sublimate...

Government welcomes Bhumidol's Transitional Council, but notes shortcomings

Image
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tilonius Vesa

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Tilonius Vesa is expressing the Covonantian governments' welcoming of the Bhumalese Transitional COuncil. Minister Vesa notes that Bhumidol seems to be trying to correct its image and have fallen to pressures from the international community. He however express that the Transitional Council already shows that it has its shortcomings.

The Government welcomes the Bhumalese Transitional Council as we see where they are making attempts to deal with the crisis that the country is facing as opposed to trying to pretend it isn't there and creating added problems in the society. We welcome them but that does not mean we are quick to open arms and welcome Bhumidol under good terms as we see that despite the Transitional Council is doing somewhat good works to take back the country from traffickers there is still shortcomings observed

Minister Vesa express that Covonant already has a problem with the high levels of trafficked victims that were killed and is shocked and appalled that the Bhumalese government is not concerned with carrying out prosecution of victims found trafficking humans.

I was extremely disturbed with the high numbers of trafficked persons that were found dead. And it shows a lack of competence on the part of the previous administration to effectively deal with this matter. While the Transitional Council seems to be concerned with the victim, Covonant is also concerned with justice being carried out for the victims and their families. I think it is a bad policy to just focus on the victims and not the perpetrators.

Minister Vesa is advising the Transitional Council to carry out extensive investigations to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The Transitional Council, needs to make it a priority to also apprehend those involved in the trafficking of persons. Until they show where they are doing just that they will not be viewed with much favour from the Union. One cannot look about securing its citizens or asylum seekers, but allow the criminals to walk free. This will send a bad message to human traffickers in the country, that they are untouchable, and the government won't come after them. The Transitional Council needs to look into this and attend to with, as it is critical to the issue being solved and its influence on others drastically reduced.

Minister Vesa was speaking at the launch of the Travel Authority and Immigration Agency

Covonant's border agency is launched

Image

The Travel Authority and Immigration Agency was launched today at the agency's head office in Coventry. The Travel Authority and Immigration Agency (TAIA) is the Union of Covonant government agency responsible with the granting of visa status to countries in the isles, the agency is also responsible for regulating travel in Covonant. Speaking at the launch of the agency was Prime Minister Imperatus Marl who called the event a turn in Covonant's open border policy.

My government has made good on our promise to ensure your safety. With the launch of this new government agency, we intend to regulate our transport sector even more allowing for data on who is entering our country, and from where they are coming from. It will not be business as usual with our borders being open, it will be regulated and countries will know of their status concerning travel arrangements with the Union

Many persons have expressed what this would mean for Covonant's bilateral agreements concerning travel and its obligations to the Cooperative Union. Prime Minister Marl sought to quell those concerns.

Covonant will stay committed to our agreements with countries around the isles, and we will stay committed to the rulings of the Cooperative Union. This agency will ensure however that those coming from CU member states and countries that have preferential visa-free access go through the same screening and tests as countries that are listed as non-preferential

The agency is expected to release a list of countries allowed entry into the Union visa-free and non visa-free in the coming days along with upgrades in the Covonantian travel system.

Covonant Decides

Image

The Union of Covonant is officially in election mode. As per the Charter elections in Covonant are held from March 1 to the first Monday in July in the fifth year of a governments' life. So far Covonantian politically parties are getting their political machinery in order. There has been a lot of speculation whether Prime Minister Marl will be seeking re-election. The country will however have to wait until Sunday for the nominated candidates to be announced, it is however unlikely in this stage for the Prime Minister to express his intention not to contest in the upcoming elections as it may intervene in the natural order of elections.

Be sure to stay tuned to the CBC as we bring all the election updates as they happen over the next few months.

Do remember you are with the CBC.

Lindsay Abelló Commends Bhumidol, CNS Garceta Returns to Corindia

Image
President Abelló addressing the recent change in power that has taken place in Bhumidol

President Abelló took the podium to congratulate the new administration of our island neighbor to the west. Citing its relatively peaceful transition to power, grassroots support and dedication to doing away with the autocratic trappings of the previous regime, Abelló took the opportunity to promise preferential trade and import regulations with the fledgling democracy. Stating that it was in Corindia's interests to promote the growth, welfare and stability of like-minded nations across the region, and the world. Although he acknowledged that the road ahead was not going to be easy, he expressed hope that it would not be unbearably arduous, particularly given the relative ease with which the transition of power has taken place and elan which it has inspired in its people. President Abelló then announced that Corindia would be receiving thirty thousand refugees from the nation, to be settled in Whale Sea and Northern Corindia.

The Corindi Navy Training Ship, CNS Garceta and its crew of midshipmen have returned to Corindia after a three month training tour. The ship is to undergo repairs, resupply, and prepare for the upcoming visit of the Cisne Branco. Rigged training ships have frequently been used to make diplomatic overtures previously, and it is believed that the Admiral of the Navy has made plans to be on the bridge when the two ships meet.

Official Vote Count In

Today, the results of the Congressional election on March first have been released. Of the twenty seats of for reelection, 5 were Republican, 5 were Democrat, 5 were socialist, and 5 were from the Union Party. The results show the Republican Party maintaining its majority, as seven of the seats went to Republican candidates, five seats went to the Democratic Party, and eight seats went to the Union Party. As a result of the election, the Socialist Party has no seats in the government. As of the election, the Republican Party has a majority of fifty-two seats, the Democratic Party has twenty seats, the Union Party has eight seats, the Green Party has ten seats, and the Freedom Party has ten seats.

It is highly speculated that the Socialist Party's support of abortion and denying of human rights as being the cause of the party losing all of its representation in the government. The Socialist Party Chairman, Lucas Fredrick has declined to comment on the losses of his political party, but he was seen with plane tickets at the airport, which suggests that he may be leaving the country.

In the election, twelve million registered voters cast their vote, meaning that the voter turnout was fifty percent, the lowest turnout since the 2001 election, in which only ten million cast a vote. We here at the Republican Times congratulate all the newly elected Congressmen and women.

The Communist Party of Bhumidol is expected to get ~6% more votes than in the previous election in 2015, while the Happy Rainbow Path Party is expected to maintain its comforatable presence of 4 seats in the Rajya Sabha.

Green Party President, Dr. Rokhani Yagharu at a Green Party Rally in Rajadhani, Renowned for Her Stone-Faced-Seriousness and Objectivity

Most people have expressed their approval of the Green Party's new president, Dr. Rokhani Yagharu, who was formerlly an adjunct physics professor at RIT, saying that her, "level-headedness", and her, "pragmatic yet assertive", nature are direly needed for Bhumidol in the face of domestic instability. The party leader, who is known for her lack of smiles and bureaucratic seriousness proclaimed that her party would, "reform governmental committees overseeing economic health to encourage greater global engagement", and would, "remove old corrupt institutions that hurt Bhumidol's international image and domestic administration". At a speech in Rajadhani earlier today, she promised to, "end the ancient system of State Buddhism... ,[to] bring an end to the human trafficking crisis afflicting the nation in a just and humane manner, and to facilitate the emergence of Bhumidol as a key node in the international system of peace, prosperity, and globalization".

Parliament addresses Bhumidol Issue, Direction of Xrevaro

Parliament has long been silent on the domestic instability and humanitarian crisis in Bhumidol occurring over the past month, even as many citizens push for an official statement from the government. The past two weeks have been Parliament's annual session in which politicians outline were they plan to take Xrevaro in the next year.

As tensions grow in the Isles, large talks have hit the parliament floor pertaining to the reestablishment of a military, budget reallocation, and the possible introduction of Xrevaro to the League of Nations. Xrevaro has maintained a semi-isolationist status internationally since its civil war, a shift to a more interventional government can deter many other branches of government, especially education, which takes 40% of the government budget and would mostly be slashed for funds for a military.

The discovery of February 27 stroked the tempers of many citizens due to the inhumane treatment of refugees, immigrants, and trafficked persons into Bhumidol. It is well known that Xrevaro has a human trafficking population, especially following the Langhei Ship Incident in which [nation=Gudao] seized a cargo ship carrying 230 illegally captured persons heading for Bhumidol. Over the years, public pressure for the government to address the issue of human trafficking with Bhumidol, a known stop for many trafficked individuals, has increased. On the 28th, following the discovery on the 27th, family members of missing people made a demonstration in front of Parliament- many holding up posters of their loved ones faces, demanding the government to intervene in Bhumidol's political affairs. However, corporations from Bhumidol are some of Xrevaro's largest foreign employers and one of the nation's largest markets for produce. Many speculate Parliament has never taken a hard stance against Bhumidol due to the economic relations between the two.

Today, the final day of the Parliament session, has led to House Speaker Wilqas Un-Kinwa addressing the nation and Bhumidol at approximately 5pm this afternoon. Highlights of his speech include:
"Xrevaro has spent the majority of the twenty-first century repairing the damage of two devastating wars, reestablishing diplomatic ties with many nations, and ensuring economical safety for our citizens. In our focus for the betterment of ourselves, we have seen incredible loss of life and multiple humanitarian crisises occur and watched in passing.[...] This is why I am announcing that Parliament has established a new three year plan. Budget allocations will be made to begin funding a military. Xrevaro will be undertaking a more active presence in international organizations like the Commonwealth and strive to further diplomatic ties with friendly nations. [...] In regards to Bhumidol, Xrevaro opens its borders to receive 2,000 trafficked victims and refugees over the next three months. We will also be sending an ambassador and supplies to assess and aid the situation within Bhumidol. We ask the government of Bhumidol to supply funds for transporting refugees as well as aiding in the construction of temporary holding facilities as the Xrevaran government accommodates those displaced. We also ask for the Bhumidol administration to create a database of all victims found to be published online and updated weekly containing both victims alive and dead. It's within our sincerest hopes that Bhumidol and Xrevaro can continue to have close government relations and continue to prosper with one another.[...]"

The speech has garnered wide support but it has not be unanimous. Some are even more worried about the future of Xrevaro and the Isles. One college student who didn't want to be named stated:
"What good can adding another nation to the chaos do? We signed a treaty with [nation=Ostehaar] following the war with them that severely limited our military power and ability to extend it over our borders. Are we going to ignore that? I also feel that the issue of Bhumidol wasn't truly addressed, the government should've been harder. They've known about it for years yet turned a blind eye and now they come in to seem like heroes."

Conservative Chambermen Propose Strict Immigration Reform

Alland- At a time when nations around the world are reconsidering their border policies, Conservatives in the Michigonian government have introduced bills to reform both refugee and immigration laws. State Councillor Juan Vincente (CP-Calionte) and Assemblyman Roberto Rozier (CP-Calionte) have introduced twin reform bills in their respective chambers, and both have the backing of Federal Councillors Martin West (CP-Hillsbora) and David Unangana (CP-Michigume).

Opposition from Liberals and Christian Democrats has already begun, yet some Conservatives and Labours hope to find compromises during the upcoming committee debates.

Current immigration law requires passports for visitation, but neither visas nor citizenship are required for permanent residency.

Michigonia and Athara Magarat Sign Bi-Lateral Trade Agreement
Image

New Libang- Delegations from Michigonia Athara Magarat celebrated this week as the two nations signed a bi-lateral free trade agreement. The agreement eliminates tariffs for all products traded between the two economies.

Minister of Commerce Annaliese DeBoer (LP, Zeelandia) expressed her satisfaction with the speed and enthusiasm both delegations shared in reaching the agreement. "This is a victory for prosperity, this agreement will open up new markets for Michigonian entrepreneurs and the people of Michigonia will enjoy increased access to the great innovative products of Athara Magarat."

Leaders in the State of Calionte spoke out against the agreement prior to its passage, citing concerns over its manufacturing base. Last month, the Calionte state legislature voted to raise a 10% tariff on imports, a measure which is overruled by any signed national trade agreement.

Supreme Court Nominees Await Election

Alland- The Supreme Court election is set for March 7th, following the seventh and final nomination by Councillor Theresa Agadandek (CDP-National). The National Assembly will convene to cast ballots for the seat left vacant by the conservative-leaning judge David Baker following his passing on February the 13th.

By law, the nominee must win a majority of the 60 member Assembly. If no majority is reached on the first ballot, the bottom vote-getter will be dropped until one receives the 31-vote threshold on a subsequent ballot. The President of the Council breaks a 30-30 tie.

Experts predict a center-right nominee to win on the backs of a Liberal-Conservative coalition, especially with Labour and the Socialists not represented on the Federal Council. Appellate judge Frida Kingston, nominated by Liberal Councillor Morris Ward, appears to be the consensus front-runne

| The Tamil Kingdom of Thanjavur, an ancient state that has experienced an economic boom in the past half century, but since the early 2000's Asian Economic Crisis, Thanjavur was gripped by a horrendous depression: destroying its almost 1 Trillion Dollar economy, crippling its age of global geopolitical influence and affluence. Since 2007 the nation has been struggling to regain economic security and potential. The Majority Hindu Tamil state was gripped by internal strife as the Buddhist Ciṅkaḷam population of the island of Puttari took the opportunity to begin a violent movement of attrition against the Hindu Thanjavur Kindgom, with the city of Shri Ciṅkaḷamkotte [Holy fortress of the Ciṅkaḷam] as their capital. The Tamil Maharaja, His Celestial Grace, Maharaja Aditya Rajachola the II of House Chakravartin - Dynasty Chola, convened the Tamil Kāṅkiras [Lower House of the legislature, elected law-making body], who voted to repeal 3,000 Isolationist policies, and with the approval of the Hindu Sangha [Upper House of the Legislature, religious law debating and approving body], the act was therefore submitted to the Pradhan [Prime Minister] for approval. His signature allocated the Bills blessing by His Celestial Grace. The Pradhan is expected to address the nation from Gangaikonda Palace [alluded to the White House for Americans], and begin the process of reopening the borders and relations of Thanjavur |

    | GANGAIKONDA PALACE PRESS ROOM, THANJAVURAPURAM 13:10 PM | As Press officers corralled clamoring reporters in the Gangaikonda Palace's Press Room, the sense of anxiety and happiness paradoxically plagued the room. The Pradhana of the Thanjavur was expected to make a statement concerning the end of isolationism in the Kingdom and the beginning of a new, Globalist Age. The noise came to an abrupt stop as the familiar tone of the Thanjavur National Anthem - Jaya Thanjavura, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfghItANhUU played. The Reporters stood in respect of their homeland, and many shed a tear or two. As the anthem came to a close, a young woman draped in a traditional Tamil sari, and approached the golden podium, and took a sip of water before she began to speak: |

      | Pradhān Devi Nairakram: | "Moments ago, by the hand of the Chola Maharaj, Aditya II of the House Chakravartin, signed the Ātiyākamam Act, thus opening the ports of Thanjavur to international trade and investments. The millions of ores that dot our Ghats can now be shared with the world. Our culture and history can once again be known by all who point their nose in the direction of our divine abode. Our people, language, history, and culture are both unique and vibrant, captivating the many conquerors, enticing them into the proud trap that is our defence mechanism: our people. The Tamil have suffered in recent years, with the 2007-8 Recession destructuring our economy. It has been 7 years, and in 7 years we have exceeded pre-Recession standards by 18%. This jump will propogate a capitalist agenda which will set our doctrine ahead by 2 years. The Ministries of Foreign Relations and Trade & Financial Harmony have been notified of the change in policy, and within the week we hope to see an increase in the Madurai Stock Exchange. Namasakar good people of our islands, may Maya provide eash to break for all in our abode of heavenly beauty! Jaya Thanjavura!"

| Following the Pradhana's announcement millions entered the streets of Thanjavur, Madurai, Kanchipuram, Shri Jayakotte, Chennai, and Coimbatore, celebrating the end of isolationist policies in Thanjavur. The Maharaja's own son lead a celebration in Thanjavur launching several [illegal] fireworks, illuminated the starry night sky. Houses accross the Kingdom ring with the sound of Champagne popping! The Tamil Police in all 5 Islands have been alerted of a possible increase in drunk driving and other intoxicated-related accidents of nature. The Ciṅkaḷam see this move as one against them, seeing that their struggle of independence from the Thanjavur Empire will be ignored, and Tamil reannexation and reincorporation is inevitable. The Ciṅkaḷam Sovereign Territroy Group (CST) launched an attack on the Shri Jayakotte Celebration crowd, injuring 6 people, killing none. The Tamil Police force on the Puttari island has been notified of the CST's most recent insugent attacks. From the end of Isolationism, the international community is left with options: support Buddhist Ciṅkaḷam in its violent, yet justified, war for sovereignty, or embrace a capitalist kingdom whose ports can redefine international trade in the Isles. |

Commonwealth Court of Disputes Ends Gudao-Atnaia Conflict

The Commonwealth Court of Disputes ruled on Gudao-Atnaian trade concerns and rising diplomatic tensions, ending months of worrying tension

AMBRESS, ESCOTT PREFECTURE, ATNAIA - Tensions between Gudao and Atnaia, formerly appearing to be escalating towards outright violent conflict, were ended today as the Commonwealth Court of Disputes ruled on the matter. Atnaia was held to account for the escalation of the conflict following trade breakdown, the Hegemony's actions being ruled as the "center of violence" within the storm of trade disputes. Atnaia has since released detained Gudaoan ships and goods, and is to pay reparations to Gudaoan companies for losses incurred by the conflict. In addition, embargoes from both sides were said to be "unlawful within the confines of Commonwealth concern" and were ended, reopening trade negotiations between the two nations. These negotiations are going to be brought before the Commonwealth Trade Organization to establish their efficacy within the confines of the CFTA.

Gudao did not wholly escape the CCD's attention however, and the Court has ordered extradition of several Atnaian businesspeople who have been taking refuge in Gudao following large scale corruption investigations. An extradition treaty is likely to be discussed between the two nations following the conflict.

"We are glad that this could be deescalated and ended without bloodshed," said the Hegemon when asked about the CCD's rulings. "That is, of course, the purpose of the Commonwealth. Obviously, we are concerned that the Courts have overlooked several of our key concerns. However, we will stand by their decision and hope to deal with our concerns in a conference room and not on a battlefield."

The Court's ruling has brought up concerns of national sovereignty in the face of the Commonwealth, with some critics demanding that the Hegemony enforce its announced foreign relations position and take a more drastic presence of control within the organization.

"I would remind critics of our acquiescence to the CCD that it was Atnaia who brought the case before the Court, and an Atnaian judge who made the final ruling," said Afram Kwaku of the Quorum. "The goal of Atnaia is not imperialistic domination, but peace and stability. If we do not live those goals in our actions, then how can we expect anyone to follow our example? Atnaia will be taking a more drastic foreign position in the coming months, but it will not come in the form of a new Atnaian Empire. We are representing a better path, not one of wanton violence."

The decision has been applauded by many business leaders in both nations, with decisions regarding several major business partnerships left up in the air during the duration of the conflict.

"Discussions regarding major economic moves can once again begin to take shape," said Roget zuch Kaltvisser, CEO of Galahad Arms. "The business future of both Gudao and Atnaia hinged on the CCD's decision, and we can again grease the wheels of business."

The families of Gudaoan sailors who were detained in Atnaia of course reveled in the Court's ruling, once again able to see their loved one's after several months without clear answers.

"Thank god for the Commonwealth," said one happy mother as her son returned home. "They've brought my son back."

Gwynon Terrorist Attack

Scenes of violence in Gwynon - Warning: Images may disturb

At 11:30 pm last night, the streets of southern Gwynon erupted into armed violence with a coordinated terrorist attack believed to have originated from the terrorist group SOAR.

For at least two decades, Noronica has not witnessed a large-scale act of terrorism on home soil. The last time such an attack occurred was after the Civil War when small cells of Fascist insurgents plagued the new Noronnican administration. Last night, that changed when a large-scale terrorist attack erupted in the city of Gwynon.

According to Bureau of Internal Security investigators, the violence began in 'The Lonely Mountain', a pub in the southern Inner city of Gwynon. The original group managed to take Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine guns into the pub, using them to murder all the customers inside the pub, including the various waiters and the bartender, Miss Rosa André, who had been working at the pub for four years. Some of the other casualties included a Police Sergeant, Sergeant James Hoping, who appeared to be on his night off with some other police officers.

The group then moved out from the pub and several other armed members joined them in the street where the shootings continued. Two bombs also went off in the eastern part of the city, killing twenty people. The Bureau of Internal Security was mobilised to deal with the threat, sending one hundred armoured officers into the scene, where they managed to swiftly curb any further attack. Several members of the group were killed while many remain in BIS custody.

The attack seems to have been perpetrated by the terrorist group, SOAR. The Sons of Asorist Retribution are an international terrorist organisation, originally formed by survivors of the Atnaian Asorist rebellion of 2016. The members who were detained by the BIS revealed that it was SOAR, and it was further revealed that some of the members originated from Lovsk, the Oster island protectorate next to Noronica's maritime borders.

It is unclear whether Noronica shall be taking military action, but the Round Table has given statements detailing their 'disgust' and 'horror' at the attacks, promising that this attack shall not go without 'punishment'. The Round Table representative declined to answer what was going to happen next, but experts believe that the next step will be Noronnican troops on the ground in Lovsk.

The entire death toll for last night's attack is 64 people, with 21 casualties currently in hospital, some in critical condition.

Ciṅkaḷam Terror Strikes!

5 CITIES ATTACKED BY THE CIK & CIK SEIZES TERRITORY
ஐந்து நகரங்களில் தாக்கி
Aintu Nakaraṅkaḷ Ciṅkaḷam Tākkappaṭṭār

| THANJAVURAPURAM, 13:01 PM, KINGDOM OF THANJAVUR | On the night of the festival of opening of the borders [The passing & implementation of the Ātiyākamam Act], the Ciṅkaḷam Iṟaimaikku Kuḻu [Eng: The Ciṅkaḷam Sovereign Territory Group] launched 5 terror attacks using aerial cluster bombs strapped onto suicide bombers. The cities of Thanjavurapuram, Chennai, Shri Ciṅkaḷamakotte, Jaffna, and Pandyapuram suffered heavy casualties, with the Ciṅkaḷam-Tamil city of Shri Ciṅkaḷamakotte suffering the worst of the destruction. The Tamil Hindu temple of Shri Ciṅkaḷamakotte, a 1,00 0 year old masterpiece of Tamil engineering, was destroyed by a Ciṅkaḷam suicide bomber. The CIK's efforts in the crippling of the regional economy of Thanjavur worked, with the Tanjore Stock Exchange severly plummeting. The Bombings were accompanied by a series of Ciṅkaḷam attacks and raids on Hindu villages on the Ciṅkaḷam island of Puttari. An estimated 3,490 Tamils died in the largest coordinated attack on the Thanjavur Kingdom since the Muslim Nayaka raids on the Malivattu Islands. An eyewitness gave a detailed description of the bombing of the Tamil Hindu temple of Shri Ciṅkaḷamakotte.: |
"I finished making pappadam for me and my brother in the Temple kicthen, and I heard a sound of emitting behind me, but I though nothing of it. Instead i reassured myself that my aging ears have cursed me. Within the second I was blown to floor, with wooden splinters, glass, and other debris crashing down on me. Minutes later, I was awoken by a searing pain on the side of my neck. I moved my bloodied hand to my neck, and was surprised to find a piece of wood lodged in my neck. I pulled myself up, only to see the entire temple-complex to be gone. In its place is fiery rubble and the scaffolding of an ancient building. What was once a complex of 18 towering temples, built during the Chera Dynasty, now is a heap of rubble and flesh. The Dormitory of monks-in-training has been burnt to the ground This is the fabled hell those Muslims talk about, fire and carcasses littering the abode of peace. Children's limbs harassing the sinners, O Lord Shiva how hath my lord, I have disgraced you," I thought to myself, crying and sobbing as I fell on my knees."

| Following the attacks, within the hour, the CIK Chairman of People's Ciṅkaḷam Party, Mahindra Rajapaksa, assumed leadership of al Ciṅkaḷam parties in their local government, and declared the People's Republic of Ciṅkaḷam Lanka, a separate entity encompassing the entirety of the Puttari Island (majority Ciṅkaḷam) and Irācciyam Island (majority Tamil; Tamil homeland), claiming for a Buddhist-Marxist utopia. His forces launched their first attacks on the administrative capital of the Puttari Island, Shri Ciṅkaḷamakotte. While simultaneously capturing Shri Ciṅkaḷamakotte, Chairman Rajapaksa declared his capital to be Kilinochi in the heavily Ciṅkaḷam north of Puttari. After capturing Shri Ciṅkaḷamakotte, a small fleet of Ciṅkaḷam fishing boats assaulted and seized the small Tamil Puttari port of Jaffna, known to be the gateway to the Tamil homeland of Irācciyam. |

After months of discussions and negotiations CEO of Union of Covonant Energy (UCEnergy) Mavis Facey is announcing that the Board of Directors have agreed to a merger with Oster Consortium for Energy Solutions (OCES). Mrs Facey made the announcement at a forum held at the UCEnergy headquarters in Capitoline, Roberticis.

I am pleased to announce that in coming days UCEnergy shall be somewhat reinvented with the merging of UCEnergy with Oster Consortium. After months of discussions and negotiating terms of agreement the Board and representatives from Oster Consortium have reached an agreement

Mrs. Facey notes that UCEnergy welcomes OCES as they have proven to be the regional leaders in nuclear energy and energy solutions overall. She also noted that with the agreement UCEnergy shall from henceforth be known as UCEnergy-Oster Consortium.

We here at UCEnergy are pleased to welcome the OCES team as part of our team as we work together to improve the energy sector of Covonant. This venture could not come at a better time when our company is facing increased difficulties in providing service to our customers following the tragic event that occurred in December at the Juevernan Nuclear Power plant. With this agreement also, the Board have agreed to the changing of the name UCEnergy-Oster Consortium

Head of the OCES Alen Frust expressed his joy at the venture and notes his readiness to work with the Covonantians to assist in the improvement and upgrade of the country's energy sector.

I think this is a good move on the parts of the Covonantians to work in providing better service and upgrade to the country's energy sector. My team and I are ready and willing to work. This to me is also a great show of regionalism and as Mrs. Facey said this venture could not come at a better time, as we at OCES were very concerned with the issue that Covonant was facing in December with frequent power cuts and we believed we could assist greatly in ensuring that a developed country such as Covonant could move pass those inconveniences. I also had the honour of speaking with your Minister of Energy who is welcoming this venture and other agreements to come about in subsequent days

Government representative at the forum were also expressing approval of the move. The Covonantian government had expressed its concern with the company's debt and it filing of bankruptcy. It was also reported that the government had rejected proposal for a $8 billion bail out package. OCES will have the responsibility of saving a failing company that relied heavily on government subsidy. Speaking at the forum was Minister of Business, Energy, Technology and Science Caeso Herma who expressed that OCES has a huge task ahead with managing a company that is near bankrupt. He notes that the government has approved a $2 billion bail out package but express that the government should not be too much involved in private enterprises.

We are hopeful of the merger and we welcome it as we believe that private individuals and private enterprises should not have too much reliance on the government as the government should provide regulations and oversee that practices are done within the confines of the law. We however know that the challenges to come are immense and the Ministry with approval from Cabinet is allotting $2 billion for bringing the companies payment of debts at a level that can be managed. We understand that events that occurred last year contributed to UCEnergy current state with the loss of billions of dollars per day with frequent power outages.

Minister Herma also express that the Covonantian government will be looking to extend partnership with Oster Consortium and by extension Ostehaar.

Coming out of a meeting with representatives from the Oster government, Covonant and Ostehaar is looking to have bilateral agreement that spans areas concerning scientific cooperation which is welcomed especially in Jueverna which is needing critical assistance and investments in scientific development. Covonant has been advocating countries sharing intelligence to combat regional terrorism and we are pleased to have such agreements with the Oster government. And I believe OCES will benefit greatly from bilateral agreements between Covonant and Ostehaar where we intend to conduct trade between both countries at lowered tariffs, and Covonant will hope to be the gateway for Oster imports into the Cooperative Union as well. So all in all a wonderful venture with the Ostehaarans for us here in Covonant

Many in Covonant are welcoming the closer relation between Covonant and Ostehaar especially since both countries were once at odds in the past which led to both siding as opponents in the Western War.

The management of UCEnergy is slated to remain with the Covonantian government having a 20% stake in the company, Covonantian shareholders will maintain their 30% share while OCES will control 50% of the share in UCEnergy.

Do remember this is the CBC.

Solidarity with Velahi Comrades
Image

With the illness that has struck down Comrade Brandon Snow there has been an outpouring of grief across Bhikkustan. Brandon Snow was a great comrade, and a steadfast example to the people of Bhikkustan. Premier Mattahyom has personally flown in to Velah to pay his respects. The Foreign Affairs Central Khuraal has issued a declaration of revolutionary solidarity, promising to aid Velah if it needs help during the transitional process to new leadership. Ajahn Thirodhammo, a member of the FACKh, also made a statement.
"Although this is a sad time for your nation, you must remember that the duties of the leaders of ones nation are not to hold power, but to serve. A hereditary dynasty is not a good method of stability, and undermines the will of the people."

Declaration concerning attacks in Tanjore
Image

Recently there have been a spate of violent attacks in Tanjore, cumulating in the violent bombings today. These have been done by the People's Ciṅkaḷam Party, a marxist group comprised of members of the buddhist Ciṅkaḷam minority, who are not well represented in the Hindu monarchy. Sangharaja Chogyal Maha Thera made this statement on the matter.
"I, as a buddhist and as a marxist, declare my support for the PCP. They are right to try and gain better representation from a nation that does not represent them. But their actions today, these bombings, leave a vile taste in my mouth. Hindus are our friends. By killing indiscriminately, by destroying ancient sites, you do deeds that shall carry you no positive reaction. I bessech the PCP to cease such violent attacks. We do not wish for the Buddhodhamma or the Mārksavādīdhamma to be tainted by the killing of innocents. Tanjore is an ally of our nation. They are a member of the ISDP. We are sworn to protect them. By bombing indiscriminately, you shall turn your friends to enemies. Our statement to both parties is this. Seek peace. To Tanjore, allow the PCP independence and the violence will stop. An ethnically motivated war shall destroy your nation. To the PCP. Stop this conflict. Work for peace. I recognise the PRCL as an independent nation, but do not recognise their attacks as just. If they wish to remain as an independent nation, they must do it with peace. Give reparations to Tanjore. A full apology is needed for such wanton violence. We hope that peace shall prevail, and a mutual respect for the right to self determination shall stop this from becoming a crisis."
