Citizens Force Referendum for Religious Freedom


Thousands gathered in New Madrid this week to protest against the arrest of Indigenous Gangish People's Party Leader Antiko Rullaburuba.

Following the arrest of Indigenous Gangish People's Party leader Antiko Rullaburuba, thousands of Fingolkans have gathered in the nation's capital in the last four days to protest. Some claim they will continue protesting until Rullaburuba is released.

These protesters may not have to wait too much longer, though. It took only four days for the Indigenous Gangish People's Party to receive the required 500,000 signatures necessary to force a referendum for religious freedom. If passed, Rullaburuba will be released, along with a little over a thousand people imprisoned for the same reason. Those that signed the proposal for referendum are positive that the nation's leader will vote to pass religious freedom after numerous politicians have stated that they will vote yes. Among those that have said they will vote yes to pass religious freedom is Fingolkan People's Party leader Luis Rey Aguilar, who quickly jumped to Rullaburuba's defence during a heated discussion at a party leader meeting last week, and Workers' Party leader Alejandro Garcia Lopez. Both have voted to allow religious freedom in Gan Fingolka in the past.

Protesters were shocked when Rullaburuba was not released from prison following threats from the terrorist group SHOCK on Tuesday. However, Press Secretary Alejandro Cortez Gonzalez stated that the Gan Fingolkan government will refuse to be cowards and allow a terrorist group to influence their decision-making. He also assured Fingolkan people that Rullaburuba is being treated well in prison while he awaits trial. His court date has not yet been determined. Many suspect that they are waiting until after the referendum to schedule a court date, as a trial would not be necessary if religious freedom is passed.

The referendum vote will take place next Tuesday, February 21.

After about 80% of the House of Delegates and Approval of the Senate, Bill-0213A, or the Mil-Bill, was passed. The Mil-Bill has disbanded the military and the only 'armed' forces are the Armed Police Forces (APF). This bill was passed much to the dismay of many pro-military citizens who believe that a strong military is necessary. Along with the scrapping of the military, comes the annulment of the Conscription Act. Hundreds of former soldiers have been given the option to either join the APF, Police Force, and other government agencies, or live as poor bums, most chose the APF.

Communist Party Gains Seats
After an 18 years losing streak, the Communist Party of Huaxia has finally gained seats in the House of Delegates and the Senate. With 3 in the HoD, and 2 in the Senate.

Highland Republic Declared!

Tadhg Dúney has officially established the Highland Republic! Now that the National Ahernric Police Force has been thrown off, and the steadfast 42nd Highlanders refuse to take their place, our new leadership took the opportunity to hold a ceremony without the threat of a crackdown from NAPS. By popular demand, the good Tadhg Dúney shall be our executive leader. Similar activities as happened today also took place a few days ago, but with the chaos it was difficult for many residents to take full notice. The ceremony has been broadcast all over the new Republic.

We have copied Mr. Dúney's proclamation here. After reading it, he then helped to present and raise a version of the Republic's flag. It is largely the same as the official state flag, however it has a red vertical bar on the end. It was explained that this is to signify that the Republic is in a state of conflict, and to honor those who have already spilled blood in defense of the Highlands. Many attendees began to sing "The Highlander's Flag," a rebellious song which has already become popular.

The time has come where the Highlands, due to lowland oppression, have no choice but to secede completely. The lowland government has forced us to wash our hands of them with muddy water. But we will do it. We pledge our sovereignty, through this Proclamation of the Highland Republic.

THE PROVISIONAL GOVERNMENT OF THE HIGHLAND REPUBLIC TO THE PEOPLE OF THE HIGHLANDS

HIGHLAND MEN AND WOMEN:
In the name of the dead generations from which we receive our old tradition of sovereignty, we summon the children of the Highlands to the flag, and strike for her freedom.

We declare the right of the people of the Highlands to the ownership of these lands and to the unfettered control of our destinies, to be sovereign and indefeasible. The attempted usurpation of that right by the lowland government has not dashed such a right, nor can it ever be extinguished except by the annihilation of the Highland people.

We hereby proclaim the Highland Republic as a sovereign and ndependent state, and we pledge our lives and the lives of our comrades in arms to the cause of its freedom, of its welfare, and of its tradition.

The Highland Republic is entitled to, and hereby claims, the allegiance of every Highland man and woman. The Republic guarantees religious and civil liberty, equal rights and equal opportunities to all its citizens, and declares its resolve to pursue the happiness and prosperity of the whole nation and of all its parts, cherishing all of the children of the nation equally.

Until our arms have brought the opportune moment for the establishment of a permanent National Government, representative of the whole people of our land and elected by the suffrages of all her men and women, the Provisional Government, hereby constituted, will administer the civil and military affairs of the Republic in trust for the people.

The variant of our flag denoting a state of war, emblazoned with a red bar at the end, symbolizing the sacrifice of blood in defense of our Republic, shall hang at the capitol until such a time that peace is secured. We wish that no one who serves that cause will dishonour it by cowardice, inhumanity, or rapine.

In this our finest hour, the Highland nation must, by its valour and discipline, and by the readiness of its children to sacrifice themselves for the common good, prove itself worthy of the most excellent destiny to which it is called.

Kenzai holds Foreign Affairs Press Conference

A relatively common sight at an unusual place today, as Kenzai ventures into the south and delivers a press conference in Wagstaffe. He was running late so one of his new ambassadors, Aiden Rimmington (Amb to WA) made a distasteful joke about how he was surprised that the conference was washed out. Shortly after, Kenzai appeared at the lectern whilst Rimmington walked away shaking his head thinking that he was bound to be fired.

"Apologies about the Ambassador, he soon will be at the World Assembly and far away from your great city", Kenzai said.
"Okay, so I guess someone should talk to you about what's going on overseas. I'm not the one to talk to you about that in depth. My foreign minister will do that, but I'm just going to say that the LIF and the EGCFC are two great ideas that I hope get passed"

"Yes, most definitely", Gifford replies, "We are improving relations with our Gael neighbours, and we also look forward to better relations with French nations in the region, especially Travencia. We see them as future allies".

Dragão do Mar's sailship announces a tour around The Western Isles

The sailship of Dragão do Mar's navy is now operating as an school ship.
Sailor apprentices of Dragão do Mar Royal Navy expect to visit many nations of The Western Isles in a tour through the region.

The Dragão do Mar's sailship, "Cisne Branco" (U-20)

The "Cisne Branco" (U-20), in english, "White Swan", is a sailship of the Dragão do Mar's Royal Navy, that have diplomatic and public relations functions. Its mission is to represent Dragão do Mar in national and international nautical events and preserve the maritime traditions of the nation. This Saturday were announced by the Marian Foreign Affairs Ministry a tour of the sailship through the Western Isles region.

"To recover some of the maritime traditions of the country, the Marian Royal Navy, together with the Foreign Affairs Ministry, decided to install in the sailship a sailor's school for young apprentices of the navy" said the Foreign Affairs Minister, Rodrigo Francisco.

The Marian Royal Navy is currently accepting countries to enter in the travel route. To include a city in the Cisne Branco course, the interested nations must send a telegram to Dragão do Mar's Foreign Affairs Ministry, telling the city that the ship will stop. The requests will be accepted until Saturday of the next week (25).

"I'm proud of seeing this demonstration of the Dragão do Mar's diplomacy in the most traditional way possible, and expect that many friend nations agreed of being stages to Cisne Branco" said the King Lorenzo Santiago, in the public announce.

Bodhai Fatally Injures Green Party Leader, Guts Criminal Investigation Committee

16:38 - During today's Sreetisam, the National Peace and Progress Party, under the direction of Jayalithi Bodhai, announced as a passing note to the press that the Criminal Investigation Committee of the Rajya Sabha, which deals with allegations of crimes committeed by members of the government, would be, "temporarily suspended, pending its reconstitution into a more effective committee" according to Rajya Sabha President, Simran Manjushri. The parliamentary president offered no time frame for when the new committee would come into existence, nor offered an explaination as to how the current committee is ineffective. This has stoked fears that Bodhai's government has engineered the change to avoid criminal charges for fatally injuring Arun Zavindya, a member of parliament who was the outspoken leader of the Green Party of Bhumidol

In an emergency session of paraliament convened on Friday night, Chairman Zavindya threatened to pull the Green Party's support from the government coalition, citing, "mounting international pressure against the government's... irresponsible and inhumane refugee policies". Ganaraja Bodhai, who was present at the meeting, accused the MP in an aggravated manner, of being, "a traitor to the Bhumhalese Democracy and people". After a heated exchange that lasted around 10 minutes, Dr. Bodhai knocked out Mr. Zavindya with two blows and slashed his throat with her nails. While security forces attempted to take Dr. Bodhai away, it was reported that she was repeatedly kicking Mr. Zavindya at his ribs.

Mr. Zavindya is currently in critical condition at Sri Shyamatara Hospital, suffering from several organ failures resulting from Hypovolemic Shock, and multiple broken bones including a fractured spine. Hospital staff and Green Party leadership are expecting him to pass away in the next few days.

"He's in a lot of pain right now, and he's not able to speak, eat, or breathe without being on the machine", Rhea Zavindya, the 19 year-old daughter of the former Green Party leader told press. "I can't believe that we have an actual monster running our country".

Members of Communist Party also expressed outraged by the move. "This thuggish, totalitarian behavior is abhorant in every regard", General-Secretary Maghalrajya of the Communist Party said at a Communist anti-government rally in South Rajadhani earlier today. "The biggest criminal of the land, even bigger than anyone under the Emperor's City, is stinking the whole place high at Sivaputhagam Palace", she proclaimed to protesters that appeared to be getting more rabid with each passing word.

Areguelista will be re-opening the border with Bhikkustan on March 1, 2017. The government of Areguelista has stated, "We may not agree with Bhikkustan, but we should not isolate them. Bhikkustan is not a threat in the meantime and we should put our efforts towards making peace with the rest of the Western Isles." Areguelista is currently working to extend its diplomatic outreach, most notably with the signing of the Southern Sea Pact of Friendship with Kandana and Polar Svalbard, Areguelista's main allies.

How We Relate to the Highlands

Recently, as we are probably all aware of by now, the highland areas on the mainland have declared that they are seceding from Shanowinn proper. Their provisional government and its leader, Tadhg Dúney, declared the "Highland Republic" with its current base in Damhford on Friday. They believe that the lowland/Ahernric/Owinn government has recently overextended their rightful power, and is currently creating a theocratic state. They also see deep cultural differences since they retained more of their Norse or Owinnorse roots compared to the lowlands.

Are we, inhabitants of the island of Carrighinnis, much different than our Highland relations? Historically speaking, culturally speaking, we are not. Our spiritual tradition is more in line with that of the blossoming Highland Republic, where we are united with friends and family and our Elders in faith, not bound under the authority of some political figure or government agency. The Ahernric government's Office of Faith Community is something that goes against our beliefs. We should ask ourselves, is this extension of power just?

Our cousins in the Highlands certainly do not think that it is just. To put it quite bluntly, the tithe which Ahern Chulainn NaAchill has proposed, and the Office of Faith Community wishes to enforce, is theft. If we islanders hold our faith in the way we generally have, that is in a manner similar to the Highlanders, then we would not voluntarily pay the government to tell us how to practice it. Yet they want to take our money anyways.

Is this not theft? Although for other taxes one may, perhaps rightfully, rebut that the tax is necessary for the general good of society, what good does NaAchill/the OFC's tithe do all around? Just like how the thief's loot benefits himself, or his cronies, the tithe only goes to benefit the Ahern and his. There is no reason that we should passively give in to such theft, nor such overreach.

Promwell Nuclear Power Station begins production today

PROMWELL, COLDWATER PREFECTURE, ATNAIA - Following months of debate, deals and development, operations in the new nuclear infrastructure of Atnaia have finally begun, officially ending nearly 30 years of total freedom from nuclear concerns. Citing Atnaia's increased need for power, the government has been driving towards nuclear power since the inception of the Second Constitution last year.

"This is a huge step towards a better tomorrow for all Atnaians," Hegemon Wessich said, cutting the ribbon on the Promwell Nuclear Power Plant, the first of the four reactors going online today. "No longer will we struggle under a burden of energy, and we can recommit ourselves to the ideals of futurism and scientific advancement that define our culture. Today, it is these fissile reactors. Tomorrow it is fusion, and thereafter the stars."

The new facilities, which include four reactor and fuel fabrication facilities, two enrichment facilities and mining in the Merrit Circuitory Prefecture, is set to be a major employment initiative in Atnaia, and opens realms of nuclear research in which Atnaia has been limited since absolute disarmament following the 1985 Nuclear Stand-Off during the Asorist Military Coup. The move has been widely applauded across Atnaia, and seen as a major move by the Hegemonic Quorum to distance itself from the policies advocated by the former parliamentary system.

"No longer are we limited by the whims of the corrupt and the decadent," Wessich said. "Atnaia can move forward without the fear of the few destroying the good of the many."

This is one of many major infrastructure projects being pushed by the current administration in partnership with its allies abroad. "Oster scientists and energy concerns were instrumental in the design of our new fuel cycle and reactors," Wessich said. "Another sign of our international brotherhood and an untarnished alliance."

The Quorum has been quiet regarding the possibility of seeking rearmament of its nuclear arsenal. "We are exploring all avenues at this time," said Dr. Robert North (HQA). "We will ultimately do what we believe is best for the people of Atnaia and the Isles. We are the gatekeepers of regional stability, and we would be loathe to rush into anything headlong without first discussing all options internally and with our allies abroad."

Atnaian foreign policy regarding its external sphere of influence has appeared to have slowed in its inexorable growth. "We are not seeking imperialistic domination," Wessich announced. "We are instead seeking a process whereby the example of our beautiful culture and the might of our diplomatic influence can mitigate the harmful effects of destabilizing presences, not one where we assert direct military control of sovereign nations. Self-determination and self-responsibility is an inherent value advocated in the pride of Atnaian society, and we will not take that away from anyone."

Our Freedom Fighters Train for War

Men and women alike who are loyal to the Highland cause are training their hands for war. One of our reporters had the pleasure of visiting one of our training sites. While there, our reporter followed a group of these brave fighters through various drills and exercises. They have reported that their training is not purely physical or tactical in nature, but also mental. While on a march, one formation of men and women broke out in rebellious song to keep the cadence, singing:

I'd put my knapsack on my back,
My rifle on my shoulder,
March away to the firing line
And kill some lowland soldiers!
I'll kill some lowland soldiers,
March on down to the firing line
And kill some lowland soldiers!

From such a verse we can only assume that they are dedicated to the cause, and will do what it takes to defend our land. Their unending dedication is inspiring. Not only young men, but any man and woman alike who feels called to defend their homeland and their tradition are encouraged to join arms with the Highland Republican Army. As the proclamation of the Highland Republic claims, "The Highland Republic is entitled to, and hereby claims, the allegiance of every Highland man and woman." All who serve will be exalted for posterity.

Revolutionary fighters could be seen practicing marching, basic military tactics, marksmanship, and other skills. Many of those who are joining the Highland Republican Army are previously versed in rifle shooting due to being experienced in hunting. They present an array of arms which will threaten any further Ahernric National Police Service incursions into our land, and likewise with any performed by the Royal Owinn Army. They are developing strong skills, and already maintain a strong will.

Kenzai meddling around LG laws and rights.

Although Kenzai has spent his adulthood in Arnton, he appears to address the media like family. It is where he grew up and he appears to feel right at home. This is probably a good thing given the controversial ideas that he has forced through parliament.

Kenzai - "It has become apparent that the energised LG community is proud of their victory here in Ainslie. However, there are compromises that must be made for this. An omnibus bill went passed parliament the other day. This law officially bans LG people celebrating Mardi Gras. Instead, they are encouraged to observe their day on the following Thursday. Also, the Judicial Council has set a precedent which officially bans LG people from going to single sex schools of the other gender. They are still allowed in coeducational facilities. That is all".

A prime minister making near daily press conferences is practically unheard of. However, this is a win for democracy and for free speech. We further encourage the government to retain and continue this plan.

A: Our delegation is looking for a 15% minimum increase in renewable energies by all nations within 15 years. We support a fund for renewable energy research and installation, but also one to help counteract the economic impacts of Climate Change.

Q: How is Mr Buchanan and his year 6 class going here?
A: I was able to meet up with them yesterday and they were very excited that they were given the opportunity to come here.

HUNDRED ARRESTED FOR ILLEGAL PRICE INCREASES

PIYENTRA - Government forces arrests hundred today after discovering they were engaging in subversive activities such as extorting the price of goods above the price ceiling established by the government. The local head of the national police in Piyentra has reported an increase in such activities as food has become more scarce in recent months. This is due in part to flooding experienced in the north, caused by capitalist interference, that has affected food supplies all over the nation.

Bhumidol: Over 10,000 Killed in an Unfolding Genocide
For the third time in its modern history, the politically reclusive government of Bhumidol appears to be sponsoring genocide within its borders. The latest reports coming out of this country indicate that abductions, disappearances, and mass graves of trafficked peoples are continuing to proliferate under the auspices of the Bodhai Regime.

Along with these findings, disturbing enough on their own, is the emergence of video evidence of torture used on these peoples. Svalbard Nine News Network managed to get in contact with a former security manager at SAPC (Shri Amithabha Prison-Complex), one of the largest political prisons in The Western Isles estimated to house over 50,000 inmates. International human rights activists estimate that over 10,000 refugees have been slaughtered by the Bhumhalese government over the past month. Numerous other political activists have also been extra judicially tortured and imprisoned. President's Plane shot down!


President Khalfani's Presidential Plane

Breaking news from Mandewo Department, President Khalfani's Presidential plane has been shot down over the Mandewo department, killing the president, much of his cabinet and several key foreign diplomats. The plane went down into the forests of Mandewo near the small town of Amage, an area which has seen large amounts of action by the traitorous Huyti terrorist opposition. Army reports indicate that the area had been getting progressively more violent, and banditry was rising. A team of Presidential guard was deployed by helicopter to try find survivors but theyhave found none so far. Confirmed among the dead is the Covonantian Ambassador, and more information is coming in.

EDIT: The Middle Han deputy minister of foreign affairs has been locaed dead as well.

Colonel Mdisho Abakoto, The Commander in Chief of the army has stepped in and declared an emergency situation. Martial Law has been imposed and soldiers have been sent in to remove enemies of the people. Any Koto men who wish to serve the nation should come forwards to Military Authorities to get new plans.

A Tragedy like none other

Overnight the death toll of the crash has risen. The final total is 30 dead. President Khalfani, Vice President Garara and around 20 members of the President's Congress are dead. Among the dead were many foreign dignitaries, most notably the President of Grand Huaxia, who was in the Country for a trade deal. The Ambassadors of Bhikkustan, Covonant and the Deputy Foreign Affairs minister of Greater Han all died as well. Several other Covonantian and Bhikkustani aid workers were killed as well. This has been a black day for Moukere.

Colonel Abahutu has temporarily taken power to ensure stability in these trying times. Martial law and a state of emergency is in place. For their own protection, Kotos are encouraged to come to the police stations as there are fears that the violent Huyti Extremists who shot down this plane may strike again. A spokesperson for the Chairman of the Central Committee Office today said that Comrade Brandon Snow is still recovering at the National Workers' Hospital in Caligangrad, and remains at a "critical condition", citing now confirmed reports that the Chairman suffered another serious heart attack last February 15. Doctors have been attending to the Comrade round the clock, who is conscious albeit at a weak state.

"Our Comrade Brandon Snow is still fighting to recover. We have every confidence in his strength, the strength that carried him and continued successful growth of the workers of Velah for the past three decades under his guidance."

Meanwhile, outside the hospital, thousands of flowers and candles could be seen being offered by the Velahi people. A clear symbol of how much the motherland loves her son, Comrade Snow.

The Presidium of the Politburo earlier had met with the Chairman last Saturday, in which the latter is known to have given instructions for the continued operation of the party and the government while he continues to recover. The Presidium has also declared a state of national emergency, raising the preparedness level of the Velahi People's Army on the same day, upon orders of Chairman himself.

Religious Freedom Passed by a Landslide


Citizens celebrate the passing of religious freedom in the streets Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.

A vote for religious freedom took place in the Federal Assembly Tuesday morning and was passed by a vote of 74-35, with both the Council of States and National Council present and voting. This means that the people of Gan Fingolka will be allowed to choose which religion they practice - or if they want to practice no religion at all. The vote was made necessary after Indigenous Gangish People's Party leader Antiko Rullaburuba was arrested for claiming in a YouTube video that he practices an indigenous religion as opposed to Catholicism and outraged citizens forced a referendum (the second in two years) that could potentially pass religious freedom. In total, there were almost 1,500 people imprisoned for breaking this law.

With the passing of this law, Rullaburuba and others incarcerated for refusing to practice Catholicism are scheduled to be released by the end of this week. In addition, all wrongdoings will be cleared from their criminal record, including previous offences, and the government vows to place them in jobs within six months of their release. Rullaburuba will return to his position as the leader of the Indigenous Gangish People's Party.

In the following weeks, The Workers' Party, The Fingolkan People's Party, and the Indigenous Gangish People's Party will be extending invitations to religious leaders across The Western Isles to visit Gan Fingolka and share their religion with Fingolkan citizens at numerous conferences across the country. The Workers' Party leader Alejandro Garcia Lopez stated that this is to expose the nation's citizens to various religion, which will help them decide if they want to continue practicing Catholicism or ascribe to a new faith.

The Marian Foreign Affairs Ministry publish the travel route of Cisne Branco sailship

The ministry published a map showing the countries and cities that the sailship will visit. The travel will start in the Saturday, day 25, and the first stop will be the city Kevora in Keomora. The minister Rodrigo Francisco expects to improve the relations between Dragão do Mar and these countries with this diplomatic travel.

The Marian Foreign Affairs Ministry announced this Wednesday, 22, the official stops of the sailship of Dragão do Mar, the Cisne Branco. The The People Broadcasting Company received these Information with exclusivity. According to the ministry, the travel will start in the Saturday, 25. The ship will stay 2-3 days in each city, and the travel will last for one month.

“The ship crew and its apprentices expect to visit many places in the visited countries, and i expect to receive many citizens of the visited cities” said the ship captain and commander, Marcos Queiroz, “The government of Dragão do Mar is also looking for improve the relations with these countries, especially the countries of the Cooperative Union reginal alliance, because our nation is close to enter the block officially”

State Opening of the Round Table

As the new governmental year begins, Overlord Tytus I opens the Round Table and gives the Overlord's State Opening Speech, a highly anticipated political speech in Noronica.

After the Act of Union in 1697 when Noronica was unified as one state, the Overlords opened the state government. It was seen as a mutual affection between both political bodies, yet it also showed them as separate entities, to display the balance of power. This tradition has continued for many centuries, in every political year which starts from the 22nd February.

The State Opening of the Round Table is the main ceremonial event in the Round Table's calendar, usually attracting a large crowd, and viewers from it being televised around the nation.

It begins with the Overlord's procession of the Palace Guard Cavalry Platoon from the Overlord Palace to the Round Table Government building.

The Overlord then arrives through the Sovereign's gate where he is received by a military salute by the United Noronnican Forces. He then proceeds to greet the personnel as he walks up the steps to the building. Once inside, he is escorted to the Government Ceremonial Chamber where he is given the Imperial Overlord Crown, the crown made during the Noronnican Empire. He must wait before sitting on the throne as the Lords and Knights of Noronica must then enter, wearing ceremonial robes. Once they are seated, the process of the ceremony may begin.

Once seated on the throne, he commands his Chief of the Royal Household to request the presence of the Round Table. The Chief then enters the Round Table Council Chambers where the eighteen members of the Round Table reside. He invites them to join the ceremony after giving a sword salute to the members. They follow the Chief of Household to the Ceremonial Chamber and are seated in front of the royal thrones.

The Overlord's State Speech is delivered from the Throne in the Ceremonial Chamber. Although the Overlord reads it, the speech's main body is written by the Round Table, outlining its policies and new legislature for the new governmental year.

This year, the Overlord gave this speech;

It is with great pleasure that I open the new governmental year, ensuring continued dedication from the members of the government. Noronica has seen turmoil, Noronica has seen triumph, yet above all, Noronica has survived through countless years of evolution. It will also tackle some of the deepest social problems in society, and improve life chances. This includes the new Disability Awareness Scheme which shall allow Noronica's disabled to thrive in Noronnican society.

My government will strive to support Noronica's young people, ensuring social workers are available for the young, ensuring that the adoption and orphanage system is improved, and to ensure that Noronica's next generation continued to be educated to the highest quality, regardless of gender, ethnicity or social background. They will also pass new legislation to introduce a sugar levy to cull the rising obesity problem amongst children.

My government shall provide more aid for the poor and disadvantaged, ensuring that more of those under the poverty line have a safe shelter and improved life chances. New schemes shall be introduced to help low-income families save more money and to help young people save money for later life.

My government shall ensure that there is a wider choice in higher education, constructing more universities and aiding young people with making these decisions.

My government will continue to work to ensure social equality, regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity or background. It will also ensure that there is economic equality for those in the LGBTQ community, promoting equal job opportunities.

My government will continue to ensure the continued defence of Noronnican borders and the continuation of the Bureau of Internal Security.

My government will continue to ensure Noronica is spending more than 2% of its GDP on its military, ensuring its continued technological advancement and strength.

My government will continue to work to ensure the swift rebuilding of the nation's newest Prefecture, Arván, ensuring that it is stable and its people continue to thrive after the dissolution of its previous administration. Arván shall also be cleansed of the rampant crime, ensuring law and order is established.

To ensure the continued well-being of the Noronnican people, my government shall introduce new legislation to give more powers to the Intelligence and National Security branches of Noronica. To prevent the rising threat of cyber-terrorism, the Bureau of Internal Security's Cyber Branch shall be developing new security measures to allow the continued surveillance of terrorists. A new CCTV scheme NSS (National Surveillance Security) will be introduced ensuring that Noronica's streets are safe from crime and terrorism by constructing cameras around cities and towns in Noronica.

Rioting in Carrighinnis Town, Naval Base: Connected to Secession

Mounted Police in Carighinnis respond to the disturbance.

According to the Telegraph's assets on the isle, and correspondents in the Royal Owinn Navy, riots have broken out around Carrighinnis. The unrest first began in the town itself, as a number of demonstrators assembled with homemade signs and banners. It appears that the sentiment of the crowd was against the National Ahernric Police Service's involvement in the Highlands. Some people in the crowd were in favor of the Highland separatists based on their signs and shouts. Regular police as well as the Carrighinnis mounted police detachment are working to contain the matter.

The unrest escalated as one group of protesters broke through security at a local governmental building. The fate of the security guards inside is unknown, but these extremists removed the Owinn flag flying above the roof, and replaced it with the "Highland Republic" flag as seen in Damhford. Apparently a crowd was singing a treasonous song identified as "The Highlander's Flag." Due to reports of gunfire, petrol bombs, and the hostile takeover of the building, law enforcement elements from Royal Owinn Navy base Carrighinnis were called to lend their services.

However they experienced significant delays as large groups were attempting to blockade the base. Allegedly a skirmish broke out in which two service members was killed, and two others are wounded. One of them is in critical condition. Three of the attacking terrorists were eliminated while a few others may have been injured. Non-violent protesters fled at the time of the skirmish, allowing for military law enforcement to respond to the building. It is possible that by now that an Ahernric National Police Service element has arrived from mainland Shanowinn and is taking over for the Navy, according to unverified reports.

Arvánan Deployment to be Withdrawn

Senior leadership from the military of Shanowinn, as well as the Ahern, have announced that the Owinn contingent in Arván will be withdrawn, effective immediately. As Owinn Forces News covered previously, the now decorated 99th Mechanized Cavalry Recon Battalion, which served as the Owinn spearhead in Arván, was replaced by a larger and more varied force. Due to widespread violent dissent and terrorism in the highland region of Shanowinn, the deployment is being cut short. In a press release, Ahern Chulainn NaAchill said that "at this time we must focus all of our efforts at home." He claims that it would be disadvantageous under these circumstances to maintain an ROA and supporting RON force far overseas.
