President Proposes Freedom Tower

To celebrate the upcoming birthday 200 year celebration for independence, which is only eight years away, the President proposed that a tower to show our dedication to freedom and liberties. The tower was officially dubbed 'Freedom Tower' during the speech. He is currently awaiting congressional approval of the proposal, after which a year-long competition for the contract will be held to determine the design of the tower and the company or companies that shall be involved in the construction of it. Reactions to the proposal are mixed due to the fact that the proposal lacks an estimated budget and does not go much into details. Some have also protested the use of government money on the potential project due to the project's unknown costs and that the project seems frivolous to a number of people. There have also been a number of supporters for the project, citing the potential benefits the tower could bring. Congress is scheduled to vote on the proposal on Friday.

Military Exercises Commenced

Today marks the start of a set of land, air, and sea-based military exercises. These exercises are being one to ensure that the military is in its best state. These military drills are top secret, so no direct news coverage of them will occur, but some audio and video clips will be recorded and archived for release at a later date. It is rumored that the Special Forces will also be participating, but that rumor can not be confirmed. The military exercises are expected to last a month.

Chulainn NaAchill and the lowland government have founded their "Office of Faith Community." It sounds harmless enough, but its intentions are clear. In fact, no, it doesn't have intentions itself. It is simply Chulainn NaAchill's tool, the lowlands' tool to meddle in our affairs. The main office is in Termon, while they seek to expand with branches in every major city. This includes Damhford. This includes Catumagus. And we'd be gullible to assume that they would simply stop there. How about smaller towns? Combined with their hopes of controlling every Elder, this shows their greed for power and corruption plain as day.

Support delegates to the Highland Conference. This is our hope of standing up to the encroachment of the branch offices. We must stand together to block them!

Areguelista Receives JJ-1 Auk Jets

The Areguelistan Armed Forces has purchased 38 JJ-1 Auk jets from Polar Svalbard for $1 billion USD. The JJ-1 Auk is a STOVL aircraft produced by Sedolv Mikla since 2002. Aside from Areguelista, it is operated by Polar Svalbard (40 units), Segentova (36 units), Domanania (40 units), and Keomora (30 units), for a total of 184 in active service. The JJ-1 Auk will be joined by other military equipment as part of an effort to modernize the Areguelistan Armed Forces.

Emerging Terrorist Cult Swiftly Banned by National Government

18:20 - Ven. Bodhidakshina, the Secretary of Social Harmony announced earlier today that the rag tag extremist cult, known as the "Free Temples Association of Bhumidol" has been outlawed for sponsoring activities that, "undermine state security and social harmony".

Earlier in the morning, a small group of rougue monks in Sudha Brahmada denounced the national government, calling for citizens to, "put an end to the ... government". Senior members of the National Peace & Progress Party were quick to alert the public of the violent and anarchic nature of the group. By around noon, the Bodhai Administation outlawed the group and ordered paramilitary forces to arrest people whom the Ganraja described as, "thugs disguised as people of faith and honor".

Citizens and members of the government were quick to appluad the move by the Bodhai Administration. "It's good that the Ganaraja knows how to keep the streets clean, and free from the influence of bad ideas", said Dhara Kajogya, a teller working at Sanvarin Bank.

Government to transfer illegal refugees to Leetika


Illegal refugees from New Oranistan

The government is announcing a change in its plans to transport 48 illegal refugees who came to Covonant over the weekend from New Oranistan where they were fleeing from violence in the volatile dictatorial state. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is now taking a more pragmatic route which Minister Tilonius Vesa states is in the best interest of the fleeing New Oranistanians.

We have assessed the conditions of New Oranistan and found it would have been entirely shameful on the part of the government to send them back to the violent state where they may meet their demise. We also took into account that majority among those fleeing were children and women

Minister Vesa expressed that Covonant sought assistance from friendly nations who were willing to admit the refugees.

Covonant at this time does not have a comprehensive refugee/asylum programme, what we however decided upon doing after having close consultation with relevant agencies and authorities was to have them transferred to another country where we are sure they would be safe. Our first option was a member state within the Cooperative Union such as Ipland and Athara Magarat that were more than willing to accept them. We however decided that the best country to admit would have been Leetika noting that Athara Magarat is already burden with refugees and Ipland making a commitment to take on refugees we believed Leetika was the best option to relieve CU member states from the burdens that arise with taking in large flux of refugees or migrants

Minister Vesa notes that the Leetikan government have been in constant dialogue with the Ministry through the countries embassies with the Ambassadors ensuring a smooth process.

We have been in great dialogue with the Leetikan government and more precisely their Ministry of Foreign Affairs equivalent. Our Ambassador Her Excellency Andrea Wrent is playing an integral role in seeing the transfer being as smooth as possible. And dialogue will continue until the refugees have arrived in the country after which they will be in the care of the Leetikan government. We have been assured by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Leetika that the refugees will undergo extreme vetting which I believe is the norm for most asylum seekers, but guaranteed they would not be returned to New Oranistan

Minister Vesa is once again imploring the New Oranistan government to contain its outbreak in riots and violent activities and to lessen its authority on the citizens while granting greater freedom. The 48 refugees are expected to arrive in Leetika on Thursday.

Covonant's Silent War?

Many in Covonant may not have been aware that Covonant over the past few weeks were engaging oppressive forces in Arvan as the country aided our Noronican ally in suppressing the Arvan forces. Minister of Defense Batiatus Sula is announcing Covonant's involvment was swift and effective.

We made the decision to aid our Noronican ally in light of reports that the Arvanian forces were expressing aggression towards them. We were adamant that such incident would not be taken lightly. Our forces engaged the Arvanians on the Island of Base Mer, where we along with our Noronican and Athara Magarati allies engaged the enemy forces suppressing their activities on the island.

Mininster Sula expressed that Covonant will maintain a permanent post on the Island of Base Mer to ensure presence in the northern realm of the Isles and to act as a base for quick deployment.

The northern part of the isles where the island is located is the Argean Sea and North Argus area. Covonant has for a long time been trying to have our presence in that area, and that was achieved with the joint base agreement had between both Covonant and Noronica. Base Mer on the other hand will be solely Covonantian, however the island will be shared between the three allied forces Noronica, Covonant and Athara Magarat. We are expecting future developments to occur and with all occupants being members of the C6 and the CU we can expect the base to possibly be of special if not sole use when C6 matters arise.

Minister Vesa expressed that supplies are still being transported to the newly claimed base with troops rotation to be finalised soon.

After a few days of constant fighting, Rebel forces have done significant damage to the government and it's forces. With each passing day, it seems as if the rebel gain more griund in the country while the government loses more and more. The battle of Rajia was not an exception, with rebel forces surrounding the government forces in the city, they were able to pull out a victory fast. With said victory, the government forces have been pushed further towards the capitol

After the defeat at Rajia, the capitol city of Al-Assad was bombed with few buildings left intact. It has been speculated that the N.O.L.A. was behind this attack, yet they still have not claimed responsibility nor any other group.

Archeologists Uncover the Last of the Lost Kirati Horde

Archeologists in the highlands

Owinn archeologists appear to have discovered new artifacts and even remains related to the Khas-Kirati invasion of the 10th century CE. Years ago, the site of a final battle between the retreating Khas-Kirati invasion force and Owinn men was excavated, which sparked many inquiries into the invasion's history. Kelyn Tregurtha, who took part in the original battlefield excavation, has been an important motivator for the present finds. "I was just thinking," she said, "we know many died in battle, or of disease and that sort of thing. We know that they fought trying to get to the coast, and that they were never heard from again; they didn't return home. Where did they all go?"

Kelyn Tregurtha told the Telegraph that she "felt" that they should continue to look west-southwest, towards the highlands between Damhford and An Clare. She believed that that is where they would uncover signs of potential Kirati survivors of the "Lost Horde." Tregurtha and her team spent much time speaking to people of the area, eager to see if there was any folklore which would serve as clues on where to dig. After some initial lack of success, they made a great find. The archeologists found the remains of four people, along with several artifacts. Testing has confirmed that three of the people were Khas-Kirati males dating to the early to late medieval ages.

"The most exciting part of the test results, however, was the fourth set of remains. They were not a Kirati soldier like the other three, but an Owinn woman. They had Kirati artifacts and also some Owinn artifacts traditionally connected to fertility. They could have reproduced, and their children may have reproduced..."

Tregurtha explained that there is an old highland myth that some Khas-Kirati soldiers had accidentally landed in the highlands rather than the lowlands, and while almost all perished, a few lived on and reproduced with Owinn women. There is a similar myth about a small number of escapees from the last battle near the coast escaping into the highlands, and also doing the same thing. Until the recent finds from Tregurtha and her team, there was little evidence to confirm the myths. "It's not really a myth anymore," she stated. Kelyn Tregurtha has excited Genealogists, as previously the idea of Kirati features cropping up (albeit rarely) occasionally amongst Highlanders throughout history was regarded as unsubstantiated, but now there is evidence.

The 48 refugees Leetika offered to take from Covonant are expected to arrive tomorrow, amidst rising concern by the opposition of the sudden decision by government to initiate their accommodation into the country. The refugees came all the way from New Oranistan, a country which has recently seen a rise in violence and internal strife. They'll arrive in Pronfold friday, where they will be held for several days for registration and medical checks.

But although the refugees have been flown into the country, none are guaranteed asylum. “They are treated like everyone else who comes to the country,” Helga Elkan of the Bureau of Customs and Immigration told the Daily.

The governments of Leetika and Covonant had been closely coordinating for the safe transfer of the refugees. The Office of the President earlier released a statement defending its decision to offer the refugees to be resettled in the country. "Leetika has a tradition of doing what it can in response to major international refugee crises and of providing a safe haven for refugees. This time is no exception." The deal is also seen as a gesture of the Leetika's growing cooperation with Covonant. The two countries have increased their intergovermental communication since last year and are expected to continue working together on other areas of mutual concern.

Army troops are giving the supplies to poor families in Dragão do Mar

In this Thursday (9) the Foreign Affairs Minister, Rodrigo Francisco, in a reunion with the Defense minister, Marina Cristiane, decided today to cancel the visit to New Oranistan. The visit were marked in the past week, day 5, and programmed to happen on the Saturday (11). The government expected that a peace mission could enter the country without risk of terrorist attack, but the last happenings in the country made the Ministries think about it.

"Why would the Marian government wish to sent troops to a peace mission?"

"Participate of peace missions are the main intention of the Marian external politic." said João Carlos, a government researcher. "It would improve the Foreign Ministry importance. It's a exchange currency to include Dragão do Mar in the international scenery".

Other benefits are training national troops to a real conflict situation and offer solidarity and support to the disadvantaged population of the country, according to the researcher.

Joseph de Almeida, president of MCP (Marian Communist Party) says that the participation of the country in peace missions in the actual format is wrong.

"We are being submissive to the Western Isles powers. Vancouvia and Atnaia have full conditions to send aid, but WE get that job? We are doing charity to imperialist companies" he says.

The Marian Peace Troops already had the aid resources ready to be distributed to the Oranistanians, but a alert to the Foreign Affairs minister were given in the Wednesday (9), and he return in the decision.

The Western Isles Climate Change Summit of 2017 begins!

The Western Isles Climate Change Summit of 2017 (TWICCS 2017/TWICCS) has officially begun in Ipland.
Representatives from nations around the isles have come together in Kirsdoff, ICT, the small town which is minutes away from the largest city and national capital of Ipland, Ipland City.
The town's close proximity to the capital as well as its distance from the capital made the town the ideal spot to host the summit.
The venue was chosen to be the Adentren Centre, located at 2839 Nelsjeret St, Kirsdoff.

The summit's purpose is to create an agreement which can be agreed upon by all participating nations on the reduction of carbon emissions and increasing the use of cleaner energy sources to help stop rising climates.

National Policy of Restructuring Applied

An era of revolutionary progress is at end. From 5 o'clock today onward the People's Vanguard Authority shall be dissolved, replaced by the People's Republic of Bhikkustan. The task of the Vanguard Authority was to redistribute the land and transfer the nation to the beginnings of a socialist economy. With this vital revolutionary task completed the nation can progress. The system of government has changed dramatically, and so we believe it important that this is explained to the people.

The Executive
The head of state of the People's Republic shall be the Sangharaja. He is the highest religious authority in Bhikkustani Buddhism, and the head of the Sangha Council, which is one of the two legislative chambersof the People's Republic. The Sangharaja shall provide moral support to the nation and, with the support of a 2/3 majority in the Sangha Council. The head of Government is the Premier. He is elected from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Bhikkustan. He controls the majority of the executive, although as mentioned before he can be stopped by the Sangharaja. Both are accountable to the Sangha Council and to the Great State Khuraal, the two Legislative chambers of the People's Republic. The Current Sangharaja is Ajahn Chogyal Maha Thera, and the current Premier is Sangyal Mattahyom.

The Legislative
The Legislature of the People's Republic shall be bicameral with two chambers, the Sangha Council and the Great State Khuraal. The Sangha Council shall be formed of 99 religious officials, 88 Buddhist, 10 Muslim and one Zoroastrian. They shall maintain that the People's Republic keeps a strong moral character and are able to veto any actions of the Great State Khuraal with a two thirds majority. The Great State Khuraal shall be formed of 120 people from the Worker's Party of Bhikkustan and from the Unions. They shall be democratically elected. The legislature shall work together with the Premier to run the nation.

Rights returned as threat to the revolution lessens

As the transition into the framework of socialism is now complete the state of emergency shall now be reversed slightly. The right to free assembly, the freedom of speech and free travel across the nation is guaranteed. While this allows for more freedom and some criticism of the government, abuse of freedom to conduct counter-revolutionary and reactionary actions shall not be permitted and shall be punishable. People are now free to form their own unions at their workplace and to organise into small political cadre groups who can begin localised movements. any localised act that passes the approval of the city Khuraal shall be submitted to the Provincial Khuraal and if it passes there shall be debated and acted on by the Great State Khuraal. By this way the desires of the people shall be recognized.

The country was shocked by sad news today when Comrade Brandon Snow was rushed to the National Workers Hospital in the capital after falling unconscious in a security briefing, insiders said. Comrade Snow was attended to swiftly by his comrade doctors but was soon transferred to the hospital for better treatment and monitoring.

It is still unknown when exactly the events transpired or what time Comrade Snow was brought into the hospital, but the Office of the Chairman has confirmed that the Comrade Snow is now resting in the hospital. The Presidium of the Politburo of the Workers' Party has meanwhile released a statement, saying that that as they looked to the speedy recovery of the Comrade, the government will continue to function normally until such time that Comrade Snow can fully recover.

Outside of the Workers Hospital, hundreds of men and women from all ages have started to flock and hold vigil. The national police estimates the crowd to balloon to as much as a thousand strong crowd within the next few hours. For the safety of the people who had come out to show their support to our comrade, the police have deployed additional personnel to secure the perimeter around the hospital.

Terror In the Damhford Streets!

The targeted vehicle was shot multiple times by gunmen

The ordinary street scene of downtown Damhford was shattered by what appears to have been an organized attack by gunmen on a particular vehicle early this morning. The sedan had just stopped at a light for to let pedestrians cross, when the assailants opened fire, killing everyone inside. Witnesses remarked at the sudden, brutal nature of the terror attack, especially because at least one of the occupants were shot several times at close range within the car.

According to investigators, one of the fatalities has been identified as Erin Omagh, an up-and-coming businesswoman from Damhford. Her legal advisor was sitting in the front passenger seat and was also fatally shot as was the driver. Ms. Omagh was going to play a part in a business deal to offer the Office of Faith Community property for a branch office in Damhford.

Investigators then discovered that the last victim was an officer of the National Ahernric Police Service (NAPS). Aidan Hearthford started serving in local levels of law enforcement after going to university, and has served as an effective part of NAPS. It is unclear what Mr. Hearthford was doing in the vehicle, and what his mission was in Damhford, but some speculate that he was going to investigate possible Highland extremist groups in the region.

It is known that Mr. Hearthford was not meant to be present in the target vehicle, as prominent Termon businessman Conor NaBally told reporters that he was supposed to, but got delayed and had the others leave without him. Conor NaBally is associated with Ahern Chulainn NaAchill and would have finished negotiations for the Faith Community's new property along with Erin Omagh. However now the Office may not move in unless negotiations are reopened and everything is agreed upon. Mr. NaBally stated that the attackers must have been part of a violent fringe group prejudiced against the Ahern and his faith.

The violent outburst comes just several days before the "Highland Conference" is to convene in Damhford, as announced by a local pamphlet called "The Highland Voice." Tensions have risen, and although the gathering was technically legal before the terrorizing ambush, authorities are bound to crack down on it for to prevent further extremist activity, especially the NAPS because of Aidan Hearthford's loss.

Freedom fighters have helped to counter the efforts of Chulainn NaAchill, and his puppet Office of Faith Community by killing Damhford sellout Erin Omagh. She was a businesswoman in the city who unfortunately saw fit to collaborate with the Office of Faith Community and offer it property for to establish a foothold in Damhford.

Men loyal to the Highlands ambushed the vehicle as it stopped, as planned, on a downtown Damhford street. In addition to Erin Omagh herself, there was a lowland goon from the National Ahernric Police Service in the car beside her. The NAPS has no business meddling in our affairs, just like Chulainn NaAchill and company have no business meddling in our tradition.

They will want to interfere further and deny our sovereign rights by stopping the Highland Conference. WE, YOU cannot allow this. We cannot give into their oppressive desires. If we show weakness now then we are setting ourselves up for failure.

Here's a disgrace for you. That the rich snotty nosed PM up in Arnton has the nerves to limit out productivity. It is clear that Kenzai does not know or talk to people outside of the East. Businesses in Borderton and Hendrikson are absolutely outraged at this new AMOL bill. Borderton, two days after the legislation was passed will now have to limit government services on Sunday due to this. Just wait until this happens on a weekday. It will be absolute chaos in central and western cities when educational and business institutions are forced to close because of this unecessary government intervention.

New 434 and AMOL (Accepted Maximum Operations Law) Legislation is a win for Ahnslens and The Isles. New 434 Legislation regulates what was previously done illegally and thus is a win for both the right and the left wing. Although I do not entirely agree with the PDA concept, I can understand how important Population Distribution can be as an issue. The AMOL law is essential for the advancement of our health. It is rare for any city throughout Ainslie to even climb to 40C, with a few cities only ever recording maximum temperatures at or in excess of this amount. We cannot control the weather, but it is good that the Ahnslen Government can make reasonable choices in regards to situations which are out of our control.

Senator Missing, Feared Dead

Senator Eva Driscoll has been reported missing after failing to report to the Senate Building for over three months. Initially suspected to be on a prolonged vacation or unannounced sabbatical by her fellow Senators, investigators have been unable to locate any clues as to where she has disappeared to.

"It is my deepest regret to announce that the case has run cold," announced Vesuvius police chief Raul Major from the capitol steps this morning as members of Congress stood behind him. "We have investigated all leads, utilized all available resources, and have been unable to ascertain any reliable information as to where Senator Driscoll has gone."

The shock of Driscoll's absence comes as a complete surprise to the Vancouvian public, who were not informed of the Senator's departure nor the subsequent search. This follows the shocking death of Senator Arnold Yates, also in November. Conspiracy theories are already popping up about the coincidental nature of Vancouvia losing two Senators in the same month.

Senator Driscoll, despite her absence, remains a sitting Senator due to an incapacity clause that prevents Senators from being removed due to "any temporary absence most likely not a result of their own volition" although she may still be removed through popular dismissal through the VOICE system.

Lindsay Abelló Condemns Bhumidol Over Human Rights Violations

A leaked image purported to display a refugee camp raided and burnt by paramiltary groups

Over the past several daysiInternational media sources have leaked disturbing images of what appears to be governmental paramilitary forces secretly killing thousands of refugees and trafficked peoples in the countryside of Bhumidol, Corindia's politically isolated western neighbor. The images have come from what is believed to be sparsely inhabited wilderness areas, 18 km north of the Amravarti, the nation's second largest city.

Since the dissolution of Bhumidol's fascist regime in 2015, the country has seen human trafficking grow exponentially, being fed by recent regional political unrest particularly from Bhikkustan, Xrevaro, and New Oranistan. Independent Human Rights activists estimate that there are around 50,000 'hidden people' in the nation at any given time. Many other organizations hold vastly higher estimates for the number of people being subject to conditions that amount to modern-day slavery in the nation.

Lindsay Abelló recently released statements condemning Bhumidol, which he described as 'an allegedly democratic theocratic state' whose actions 'would not remain uninterrupted by Corindia for much longer if they continue to be regressive and autocratic'. While Abelló clearly stated that Corindia had no intentions to violate the sovereignty of its western neighbor, militarily or otherwise, but would consider levying sanctions and import tariffs against it.

Despite making a formal transition to democracy in 2015, the nation has been backsliding into authoritarianism, by repressing the rights of minority groups, and encouraging the proliferation of extreme xenophobia. Current sources suggest that the Bhumhalese government is secretly cracking down on the number of illegal people within its borders due to a recent surge of boat people from New Oranistan and Bhikkustan. Local authorities under Amravarti's metropolitan government have denied the validity of the images acquired by international media.

New Highway Planned Across Island

Areguelista is planning to build a highway across the island it shares with Kandana, Bhikkustan, and Velah. The exact route is undetermined so far, but it is expected to stretch from Contera, Areguelista to Asra, Kandana, as both nations are members of the Southern Sea Pact of Friendship. As of now, the highway is still in early planning stages, with an expected completion date of around 2020.

Licences issued for extraction of resources in the Hayara-Islands

Earlier today at 12:00 the ministries of Coastal affairs, Energy and Trade and Industry issued a joint-press statement, concerning the issuing of licences to organizations to extract the natural resources in the area. The press was informed that the parliament had voted in favor of extending licences to the area. In the release the ministries stated that "The region holds large potential for economic growth. furthermore it stated that this "Would aid development in the generally poorer island communities.". The bill, however llargely remains contruversial due to the fact that the islands are mainly inhabited by Keomorans, as a remenant of the Historical presence that Keomorans have had in the area that is now Northern and Western mainland Segentova, until they were largely driven off by French Settlers by 1800. When Segentova gained independence in 1812, the new monarchy was quick to repress Keomorans, driving off many, and forcing even more to assimilate into larger Segentovan culture.
In the months leading up to the passing of this deal, the negotiations have been especially controversial among Segentovan Keomorans and Creoles because the Minister of Trade and Industry Jacques Chasspeu, who has been pushing for the legislation, remains a controversial figure among many.

Tensions Arise Between Parties

Gan Fingolkan party leaders, who had their monthly meeting last night (February 10), were up until the early hours of the morning in discussion.

Reporters in attendance say that the meeting started off as all meetings do with nothing out of the ordinary. When they reached the topic of human rights, however, things began to go south. This is always a tense subject for the party leaders, as they all have varying ideas as to what human rights should be allowed in Gan Fingolka. It was the Indigenous Gangish People's Party leader Antiko Rullaburuba that sparked the flame that got all politicians in attendance heated: the idea that the Communist Party had committed genocide of Gangish people during President Guillermo Carmona Núñez's 43 year rule, where well over 200,000 indigenous people in an attempt to "ethnically cleanse" the nation.

"I don't ask for much," Rullaburuba stated during the meeting. "All I ask is that the Communist Party recognizes the genocide of our people and that the nation has an day of remembrance for the indigenous lives that were lost during that time."

The Fingolkan People's Party, who opposed the Communist Party during the Fingolkan Civil War, was quick to agree with Rullaburuba, but other parties were hesitant. Meanwhile, Communist Party leader Eduardo Navarro Herrera grew incredibly defensive.

"There was no genocide," he insisted. "It is a common known fact that there were internal conflicts between the tribes during Leader Carmona Núñez's time in office."

Numerous parties reminded Navarro Herrera that there were no reported internal conflicts between the Gangish people and that many were killed via public execution.

"If that isn't genocide, then I don't know what is," commented Fingolkan People's Party leader Luis Rey Aguilar.

The Worker's Party eventually sided with the Indigenous People's Party and the Fingolkan People's Party, stating that the Communist Party had indeed committed genocide. The only party that remained neutral was the Nationalist Party. Hours into the debate, the parties that agreed that genocide had been committed began discussion solely in the indigenous language of Gangish to show solidarity with the indigenous people. Navarro Herrera again became angry, claiming that Gan Fingolka was a Spanish-speaking country for Spanish people.

"I think we need to remember that the Gangish people were here first," Rey Aguilar pointed out to Navarro Herrera. "And none of us here, except for the Gangish people, are full-blooded anything. We are all mestizo, meaning you, Mr. Navarro Herrera, are not Spanish."

Navarro Herrera attempted to punch Rey Aguilar after this comment, at which point media was escorted out of the room. This occurred at 12:47am. Nothing more in regards to the situation is known at this point in time.

Mechanized Cavalry Cited For Gallantry in Arván

Several days ago the 99th Mechanized Cavalry Recon Battalion, Royal Owinn Army, returned home from their recent deployment in Arván. Working as part of an international coalition to aid Noronica, the 99th helped to defeat Arván's armed forces and pave the way for relief in the country. New elements of the Royal Owinn Army including Military Police, Infantry, and MAHER (Mobile Army Hospital and Emergency Response), have since replaced MCR forces.

A part of the 99th MCR Battalion swiftly stormed the Rippen airfield, due west of the town of Rippen, Arván, reportedly catching a garrison unawares. This small MCR unit also stopped the garrison from sending off a cargo plane which was bound to resupply Arvánan troops further north in their fight against coalition forces. However they were then besieged by larger Arvánan numbers, and fought ferociously with infantry weapons and their armored vehicles to hold the airfield. Eventually, due to the presence of great initiative, other parts of the Battalion were able to seek out and exploit openings in Arvánan lines, regrouping at the airfield and bolstering its defenses.

By the time the siege had ended, the Battalion was still unbroken; the Arvánans withdrew. Relative to its size, the Battalion sustained significant casualties throughout the ordeal, but still maintained its objective. The commanding officer of the Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Ciara Byrne, has said that "there were a couple of things that definitely influenced the outcome: our training, and daring." She said that everyone, from regular troopers entrenched at the airfield, to helicopter crews risking fire to deliver supplies in the dark, displayed great bravery.

At Fort Unification, back home in Shanowinn, the 99th MCR Battalion has been awarded the Ahernric Unit Citation for Combat Excellence. The commander of a CV-90 Infantry Fighting Vehicle, Rogan Rathcorney, has also been awarded an individual medal for courage under fire. In addition, trooper Sergeant Roger Dubh earned the same award posthumously, for his gallant actions during the siege. It has been an honor to write on these amazing men and women.

Crackdowns, Arms Confiscations for Highlands?

Following the recent terror attack in Damhford just yesterday, in which armed men riddled a Damhford businesswoman, a National Ahernric Police Service officer, and their car with bullets, there is now talk in various circles about seeking out these weapons and confiscating them in the city. Some in the government are proposing a more widespread ban and confiscation for the highlands.

Comsedlon member Cadan Rowlands is from the highland city of Catumagus, and is currently pushing for that widespread confiscation. He says that "...you know, I'm from Catumagus, and when I see this violence in Damhford, I don't want it coming to my city. We need to get these [weapons] off the street there [Catumagus] too." It appears that the National Ahernric Police Service, who lost one of its influential officers yesterday, is not yet committing to such a course of action, although no statement directly regarding confiscation efforts has been given by NAPS.

The entertainment of bans on guns and the confiscation of them has been met with both support and disapproval in the public sphere. Many citizens of the lowlands are particularly worried about the spreading of violence such as the ambush yesterday. One interviewee claimed that "I don't understand the senseless violence that took place, they shouldn't be able to just shoot up these prominent people in the streets." On the other hand various people caution that if authorities do attempt to go through with it, it may be at the least a futile effort, and at worst a dangerous effort.

The National Ahernric Police Service will come to take our guns away, mark our words. Maybe not tomorrow, or maybe not the next day, but soon. The good people of the highlands oppose it, and that is good, but unfortunately the lowland gang won't listen. If they didn't come for us, and let us carry on with our own ways, then we wouldn't have a problem. But they'll be coming anyways, and so we are forced to resist them.

This is very important: we must unite together to fight back. You will be stronger if you band together with family, friends, and everyone around you. Try not to be a lone wolf hero, as they can more easily overpower you then. Also avoid "pitched battle," striking hard and fast is key, and movement too. You know your neighborhood or part of the woods, they don't; don't get bogged down and caught. Use elevation and terrain/layout to your advantage whether in an urban area or outside. Be creative.

BELISLE FLIGHT 3767 DISCOVERED



This image was taken by an agent of the Intelligence Agency of Cruxa (IAC) in Aguerelista this morning at 10:56 AM. It shows Belisle Flight 3767, undamaged on the exterior, in an Aguerelistan hangar. Upon further investigation, the interior of the plane was riddled with bullet holes and all passengers were missing. Cruxa-Aguerelista relations have been ceased. In a statement earlier, President Connor Mendel expressed deepest shock and regret towards the families of the victims. "We will do whatever we can to save your family members and our fellow citizens," proclaimed the President.

Speaking in front of reporters today, the medical team attending Comrade Brandon Snow at the National Workers' Hospital briefed the public on the status of the Comrade's heath. Doctor Bojonov Kyiv, the head doctor stated that the Comrade is now conscious but is resting at the time of the conference. Further, according to the comrade doctor, Comrade Snow will be staying at the National Workers' Hospital for the time being to run additional tests. He also confirmed the earlier report by the Velahi Central News Agency that the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party after suddenly falling unconscious during a security meeting at his residence with top officials, but has said that the Chairman is now awake and is on the path to recovering.

"As of this moment, we are continuing to run tests to determine the exact cause of the Comrade Snow's sudden collapse yesterday. While continue to do so, our team is ensuring that his health is secured as well as his other needs attended to, so that he can recover quickly." Dr. Kyiv said in a statement.

Outside the Workers' Hospital, thousands have gathered to stand vigil and await news of our beloved Comrade's return to full health. For his and the safety of the general public, the Presidium of the Politburo has ordered the deployment of additional security personnel.

KUOLEMALINNA- Today, Kavamaan police search in homes in major cities for illegal immigrants after Patriotic Kavamaans Movement enacts new anti-immigrant policies. King Stahlberg I has endorsed these policies, and the government has said that a reward of 5,000 Markkas will be awarded for every illegal immigrant that is caught by civilians and sent to police. In Kuolemalinna, police have been searching and breaking into homes and arresting illegal immigrants. Usually, the punishment for illegal immigration for Kavamaa is a lengthy prison sentence of 20 years and a deportation, but according to a number of sources some of the immigrants are even killed by police in retaliation for a string of terror attacks recently believed to be caused by illegal immigrants.

Several men were arrested earlier today from a mosque in Kuolemalinna after they failed to produce documents that proved they were legal migrants. After a discovery of forged documents, rifles and bullets caused them to be one of the suspects for the recent Kuolemalinna bombings. Police say the rifles and bullets were found with a forged firearms licence. If they are proven guilty for being terrorists, they could be executed which would be Kavamaa's first execution in nearly seventy years.

Women and children have not been spared from the anti-immigrant laws. Women found to be illegal immigrants like the wives and families of the immigrants arrested yesterday have been arrested and may be sent to Toivala women's prison and face the same fate as their male counterparts. Meanwhile, the children will be immidiately deported to their specific nations and countries where their fate is still currently unknown.

People have been criticizing this however, and the string of arrests, especially to women and children, have caused outrage around the world and more specifically Kavamaa itself. Left-wing organisations in Kavamaa have spoken out against the government and the king, even staging protests near the Royal Palace itself. The banned group, The Red Hand, has even gone out to say the King should be overthrown and killed like the rest of the government.

While most are outraged, some support the government and King's actions. Tuulikki Karjalainen, and old woman living in the countryside near Govddosgáisi is one of them and agreed to be interviewed by Eteenpäin!. "When I was little and was a child of the mountain village near Govddosgáisi, the Kavamaan king and government did not let any immigrants destroy our nation. Back then, Kavamaa was for Kavamaans and Karelians. Then, the communists had to come and destroy our government, which directly resulted to the problems we have today. But now that the Patriotic Kavamaans Movement has been elected, I say we deport all of those immigrants! Kavamaa for Kavamaans!" was what she responded to our queries.

She is not the only one though, as widespread celebrations had been held in some neighborhoods. In Toivala, local hunters say that they will do their best to 'hunt down those savages' and get them out of the country. The government has reportedly said that they will be responding to public queries by tommorow morning when the 'eviction' should be mostly complete.

A lower-class neighborhood in Rajadhani South, located at the fringes of the Bhumhalese capital, was closed off without warning on Friday evening by metropolitan officials for reasons unexplained to the press. Several FNN reporters based in the southern nation's capital decided to venture out to the neighborhood sectioned off by city police and were disturbed by what they saw.

The locality, named Roigulan, was barricaded by metropolitan police. Reporters of several regional news networks, however, were able to find ways around the blockade and caught glimpses of dozens of police officers carrying away what appeared to be the bodies and severed body parts of children of varying sizes, from a children's playground.

A government official from the capital's affluent Maharani district, who chose to remain anonymous out of fear of reprisal, identified all of the victims as being refugees trafficked by several of Bhumidol's underworld criminal cartels. He told FNN that the victims were likely tortured for several online red rooms on the Bhumhalese Dark Web.

"In most nations, these things are an urban myth, but underneath the Bhumhalese capital, such places really do exist", the anonymous official claimed. The official refused to elaborate on what he meant when he stated that red rooms existed 'underneath' the country's bustling capital city.

The gruesome news, coming from a nation still considered a pariah in most political circles in The Western Isles, comes in light of the nation's current human trafficking epidemic. Around 50,000 to 200,000 undocumented people, who are regularly subjected to slave-like labor, torture, and extra-judicial killings, are believed to be within the nation's borders at any time.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elena Brahurer, admitted that the Oster government was unaware of the severity of the Bhumhalese humanitarian situation. "The testimony coming from there is horrific," the Minister told FNN. "If the Bhumhalese government will keep silencing the issue and ignore the unfolding crisis, the regional community would have to do something about it."
