Petition: Mayve Bánach for Ahernry!

A petition signature drive being held in downtown Damhford.

Over the past day, our city of Damhford has started buzzing with tension and activity over the election. Many people in the highland region, such as Damhford, have expressed their dislike and even fear for the prospect of candidate Chulainn NaAchill being elected Ahern by the Comsedlon. But a new movement has begun with the election looming.

Although Mayve Bánach, wife of the late Ahern Gleann Steffan Bánach, already claimed that she would not like to be considered by the Comsedlon, highlanders the heights over are calling upon her to reverse this decision. Several stations have been set up in Damhford, where passers by are being enticed to sign a petition which will be publicized to Ms. Bánach.

The Highland Voice has polled people coming out of the signing stations, asking why they did so. Most have claimed that Mayve Bánach is their hope of having an Ahern who wouldn't intrude on their spiritual traditions and identity. They see Mr. NaAchill as a threat to these, and as a threat to sovereignty. Thousands of residents in our city alone have signed, with thousands across the highlands following suit. So far Ms. Bánach has not made a statement on the matter, but it is expected that she will in the next couple days.

Government Streamlines Immigration Process

Due to Kandana's contracting population, which is shrinking at 0.07% as of 2017, Congress has passed a piece of bipartisan legislation streamlining the process of immigration into the country, in an effort to bolster the working-age population. Priorities will be given to those between ages 25 and 45, and to those who have acquired a bachelor's degree and/or are holding a job in Kandana.

Asra International Airport, one of the most famous gateways to the country.

Those working in the industries of computer science and data analytics will be given easier and faster entry into the country through the new TechPass program, while those working in research and academia will be given easier and faster entry through the AcademiCard program. Holders of the TechPass or the AcademiCard will automatically be presented with an extended work visa, after which they will be eligible for a faster, 1-year path to permanent residence (the BlueCard).

College, graduate, and doctoral students who have been accepted to a Kandanan university prior to entry will be given better student visas, after which they will be eligible for a work visa or any of the newly implemented programs.

Current and future BlueCard holders will be put on a fast track to citizenship. Attempts and reforms are being made to reduce the average 5-year wait time to just 1 year.

The President of the United Republican Lands has just signed into law a bill that makes the internet a completely free zone, excluding four simple rules. The first rule is that personal information may not be requested by any website, excluding banking and government websites. The second rule is that no website may pass personal information to any third party or advertiser. The third rule is that no website or program may download any data to a person's computer or export data from a user's computer without that person's permission. The forth rule is that no website, company, individual, or government agency may requested through email, text message, instant message, phone call, or any other form of communication. This law also dictates that ownership and rights to any data shall belong to the person, entity, or group that created that data. In addition, as data is considered property, the law also specifies that a warrant must be obtained by police to access that data.

Fourth International Brigade Takes Base la Vert, Pachualla Falls to Allied Forces

After several days of intense exchanges of artillery fire and rockets, the Arvanan garrison of Base la Vert has surrendered to units of the Fourth International Brigade. While casualties have not yet been released, it is believed that the Corindi forces emerged with relatively few casualties, a consequence of the newly promote Brigadier General Ferrero's cautious advance, which was carried out at a slower pace than many other simultaneous attacks on the peninsula that were carried out by aligned forces. Base la Vert represented the last major Arvanan hold-out in the vicinity, and many Corindi citizens and their property are now well within Corindi controlled land. General of the Army Vertón has not yet released a timeline for converting the occupied land to Noronican control, although one is expected by the end of the week granted no major developments occur in the area. The peninsula is by no means pacified, and it is still possible that conflicts in the Southeast could bleed northward and require renewed military attention.

The citizenry of Pachualla has largely accepted the new rule of the Azul Naturaleza and are going about business as usual

Earlier this week most of the upper leadership of Hona Cuachayna's administration, including the warlord himself, were killed in a series of bombings and shootings within a half-hour period. During the ensuing chaos, Azul Naturaleza forces led by Poma Uyananche marched into the city largely unopposed and declared it to be under their control. Their was little to no resistance from the leaderless, ethnically Iza defenders, and many even seemed eager to switch sides to the faction known for supporting their people. There was some resistance from gang members within the city, but even that was quickly quelled. All operatives of the Anliana cartel were permitted a day's grace period to leave the city, no questions asked, in an attempt to promote peace between the two factions. Other gangs were not as lucky, and some cells were completely liquidated by the city's new rulers.

In a shocking display of insensitivity Mayve Bánach has resolved not to budge on her decision to stand idly by for the Ahernry, despite the apparent domination of NaAchill in the Comsedlon's mind. The many thousands of signatures we gained so quickly for our petition appear to mean nothing to her. Yet we intend to give her the benefit of the doubt, that it is "just" insensitivity, apathy, and not that she is not purposefully handing the Ahernry to Chulainn NaAchill for nefarious reasons. We advise our good readers not to jump to conclusions--but we do advise you to take action!

A conference for all the highlands will be held on February 15 in Damhford, and YOU will have a say in it. You, and indeed your friends, loved ones, and neighbors must give support to those among us who will nobly serve as delegates. These representatives, coming from all over our highlands, will discuss how best to protect our rights and tradition against the impending storm.

It is clear to see that these men and women are the ones we need and can trust; when Mayve Bánach coldly turns on us, and when a threat like NaAchill looms, it is right for us to stand and represent ourselves. Top Story: Consul Adstutia gives position towards remarks by the nation of Kobnia

The nation of Kobnia in a recent news release has stated that it is joining the OCWI and in that same report had something to say on the denouncement of the OCWI by the Consul Adstutia. "The formation of the OCWI was met with opposition from imperialist capitalist figures of the region noticeably from the insignificant and listless nation of Polar Svalbard whose petty and ignoble consul has already been quoted as saying "the organization is a threat to our world order and is to be feared". She further went on to denounce the Worker's Movement in with usual capitalist wooden language. The outburst has been dismissed by the Foreign Ministry as not worthy of a response."

Many Svalbardians have been outraged by this, with many people calling this an "Outburst by an inferior nation that does not know its place." Interestingly enough the Consul Adstutia waited three days before speaking on it. Many Political Scientists have stated that this was either a statement that the nation was so far beneath her that it was not worthy of a response, or that it was an actual this doesn't matter over other more important matters.

In her speech she talked about how, "Svalbardians need not listen to nations that are as minor in International Affairs as Kobnia is." She went further to state that, "The OCWI is a mockery of the strength that the Eurania-New Aapelistan alliance was, and look where that got them. There is nothing to fear from something so insignificant. We must continue to turn our attention towards the fight in the South and tensions boiling in our neck of the woods."

It will be interesting to see what the response from nations in the OCWI will be, it is unlikely that they will just take this attack and lie down.

Consul Adstutia speaks about the nation of Areguelista

After her speech about the OCWI the Consul Adstutia went on to discus the nation of Areguelista.

The key points of her speech were the want to increase trade between Polar Svalbard and Areguelista, a want to establish better diplomatic connections especially in regards to immigration and tourism, and the possibility of establishing military connections. The speech lasted about ten minutes but it had a definite impact on political and military analysts.

The impact felt was actually easily explained by analysts. Many stated that this was not an unexpected progression as Polar Svalbard needs a stable ally in an area which holds many threats to Polar Svalbard. Areguelista is large, stable, and strategically important. It is likely the Consuls will make an official visit to the nation at some point in the future.

Consul Bellum states that instability in New Oranistan is a concern to Polar Svalbard

The Consul Bellum, around the same time the Consul Adstutia made her speeches, made a speech in regards to the nation of New Oranistan.

New Oranistan as of late has been having revolution and rebellion in many places. The fact that it is a "Democratic Dictatorship" is the more widely supported cause of this, although the heavy reliance on oil and the possible abuses by the government has made many nations, including Polar Svalbard wary to help the natural government.

The Consul Bellum's Speech in the most basic sense stated that Polar Svalbard would do would it could to achieve stability in the nation and also stated that Polar Svalbard would be willing to take in any refugees that need to leave the unstable country. Political and Military analysts have come out and stated that that may have been a threat to the existing government that Polar Svalbard will support the rebels. This made very possible by the proximity to Polar Svalbard and the fact that naval patrols in the area have been strengthened as of late.

Top Story: International Sporting Victories give many Svalbardians cause to celebrate

The past week for Svalbardians in the International Community has been a great one. With many victories many parties were held and even a block of Alta had to be closed off due to fans flooding the streets after the game. Victories included the 27–26 Snow Leopards win over the Atnaian Black Hill Vultures, 1-0 win of the Alta Eagles over the National Football Team of Velah, the Svalbardian Ice Bats' 1–0 over the Atnaian Promwell Black Bears, the Aildrions' 2-0 win over the Atnaian Coldwater Blacksmiths, Carl Markussen's and then Gustav Hoffart's resounding wins in tennis, Brita Myhr's win against Yodgoroy Tojibaev in Women's Boxing, the Egersund Carrier's 1-0 win over the Coldwater Rampage, Ellen Weber's resounding victory in Women's Tennis and in Formula One Marcis Vecbalodis' second place finish which was only .03 off of the First place.

Overall this was a great week for Polar Svalbard and many sports fans are ecstatic.

New Navy Ship Rolls in from Miklania

Today, at 3:30 pm, with tons of fanfare and celebration, a new Valkyrie-Class Assault Ship sailed into a docking port at Naval Base Guthornen. This ship, which is to be christened the HKS Daggerpoint, is the first navy vessel that is not a corvette to be bought from a foreign country, as well as the first vessel above the Freav-Class in the RKSC in over 20 years. It is expected that it will be the new flagship of the Royal Kalorphian Sea Command.

"It's an amazing piece of naval technology." Admiral Vishra Snarm, the new commander of the Daggerpoint, says. "Its beautiful. It's displacement is 40,600 Tons, its over 831 feet long, and its propelled by CODAG system, which gives it over 22+ knots at full speed. And that's not even talking about its armaments. This baby's got 2 25mm Guardian CIWS', 2 RAM launchers, 2 MK 29 ESSM Launchers, and a whole host more!"

The Daggerpoint is indeed deck with the finest militarily technology around. However, the RKSC decided to have the ship modified to better suit their purposes. Admiral Snarm gave us a tour to better point out the modifications.

He led us was the hanger bay, and pointed to the back half. "This used to be a rear well deck, where you could smaller ships. However, Sea Command decided that we needed to have more hanger space and an larger command center. Now, instead of carrying boats into battle, we have full fighter compliment thirty Harrier II's and five KF-23 Maritime Helicopters, and the ability to command a theater of battle from this ship here. There's a reason that this is Kalorphi's new flagship."

As nice as it is, however, it comes with a steep price of $799,000,000 that has some people asking why.

"The last war Kalorphi fought was over 20 years ago. Why are we building up our navy if we not in a war?" Asked Prince Pon Rmbrose, Leader of the Oppositon. "We are just wasting taxpayer's money. Please tell me, High Admiral, why we are spending so much on our military, when we still have towns that basically dying because of the lack of clean drinking water and food?"

The High Admiral gave this statement in response. "The world is crumbling around us. Just look at what's happening in San Javier and Arvan. It's only a matter of time until that conflict spills over to us. We need to be prepared and ready to withstand and push back against anyone who wishes to stand against."

The Daggerpoint will be docked at NB Guthornen for the next few weeks as crew members board and its repainted in Kalorphian colours.

After a 4-day peace riots have once again resurfaced with more happening in Sanablah. In all there were 2 riots in the city. The first was in the day, the other at night. The first riot occurred at 12:35 AM in Spiohip Boulevard. The riot included setting fire to businesses and at times detonating small bombs. The night riot happened in Roct Road. the riot mainly included arson along with shootings at local police. President Hissa el-Ismael had this to say on the matter:"This kind of behavior is not and will not be tolerated. I promise that these rioters will be punished as will be their affiliates. The civil watch has been put on alert and will arrest or even put down those who disobey the law". With civil unrest on the rise, It could be only a matter of time before a revolution occurs

Secretary-General of the Organization of Communist nations in the Western Isles (OCWI) Aleksee Kollontai today made a courtesy call on Comrade Chairman of the Central Committee Brandon Snow. The two revolutionaries spoke for more than an hour in the Chairman's residence and talked about the future of the OCWI.

In a statement subsequently released by the Chairman's office, Comrade Snow congratulated Comrade Kollontai on her election victory, becoming the first Secretary-General of the OCWI, and the first woman at that. Comrade Snow was overjoyed with the news that a Velahi will be occupying the post and remarked that it was a fitting inauguration to the organization which he unveiled earlier in January, during the Workers' Party of Velah Politburo meeting. He also praised Kollontai's long years of faithful service to the Workers' Party and to the Motherland, and her "unrelenting commitment to the pursuit of socialist and communist solidarity".

For her part, Comrade Kollontai thanked Comrade Snow and the Workers' Party for their support and confidence in her. She also promised to the Chairman of the Party that she will remain dedicated to her work, to ensure the success of Velah and its partners in the OCWI.

Meanwhile, Comrade Kollontai also released a press statement on Polar Svalbard's reaction to the Kobnia and the OCWI. In what was her first official statement as Secretary-General since after her address in the Secretariat, Kollontai brushed aside the Consul Adstutia's reaction. Instead, Kollontai stressed the need for the communist and socialist nations to unite, and help each other progress under the banner of the OCWI. "It is only true peaceful friendship and partnership with all the proletariat , that we will achieve victorious revolution." She ended with a stern warning that countries, especially capitalist ones should refrain from "interfering with the sovereign activities of OCWI."

Comsedlon Elects NaAchill

Just a short while ago, the Comsedlon of the Ahernry of Shanowinn elected Chulainn NaAchill to be Ahern. The Comsedlon had been debating on the matter for weeks ever since Ahern Gleann's passing in mid December of 2016. Within the past few days there was a desperate attempt to reconsider Mayve Bánach for the office. Although she gained a few official proponents in the Comsedlon, it was not enough and Mayve herself still declined. As the Telegraph's political analysts have noted, the Comsedlon has had a large influx of passionately spiritual Owinns over the past several years, which helped to elect Mr. NaAchill.

Once the Comsedlon announced their final decision, Mr. NaAchill, who was already residing in Termon, was transported over to address the Comsedlon. He expressed his great appreciation for the Comsedlon's support, and officially accepted the office of Ahern of Shanowinn. He gave recognition to the spiritual communities which he helped shape in cities across Shanowinn, and also introduced his family. Finally the Ahern elect spoke about his initial policy plans. "I want a great achievement of mine, perhaps the greatest," said NaAchill, "to be the construction of a great national complex devoted to our faith." He went on to explain that he would see it paid for through a kind of tithing system, which would necessitate a central administration for the Owinn Pagan faith.

Initial opinion polls, from the Telegraph as well as other sources, show that the public looks upon Chulainn NaAchill's victory most favorably in lowland cities. The greatest concentration of pro-NaAchill responses came from there. In contrast, it appears that the new Ahern is greeted with dissatisfaction primarily in the highland region of Shanowinn. When questioned, some highland responders have pointed to the tithing and central administration as cause for concern.

NaAchill and His Evil Plan

The moment we were all dreading is here. The lowlands have elected their fanatic, and he has laid out what he intends to do. In order to fund the construction for a "spiritual complex," he wants to levy a tax upon the whole island, and yet this complex would be of no use to us, nor is it particularly congruent with our sacred tradition! Since apparently that is not enough, he vows to introduce central administration for our faith, which again is not compatible with what we hold dear.

But remember, his end goal is power and wealth. What has he already said? There will be a tithe tax--wealth, and a central administration--power. Mark our words, he will try to get every elder into his state-run religious pocket, and through them control YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. Are you elder for your family? He wants you to pay him to control you and your loved ones--YOU get nothing in return. It's not about faith to him, it's about power and wealth. We can read between the lines--to us it's about governmental overreach.

This is the bastardization of our ancestral faith and our own values, which we warned about.

SHOCK Is At It Again

Just Yesterday SHOCK had another go at Nakhu Khal, this time it was Nakhu who had the last laugh though. Nakhu Khal was attacked by seven SHOCK "agents" while he was being driven to parliament from his home. He was being escorted by four Humvees, one on every side of him. A grenade was thrown from a balcony but Nakhu Khal's fast thinking driver swerved out of the way. The blast from the grenade knocked over the car though. Nakhu Khal wrestled the unconscious driver out and hid behind the car. The other four cars had stopped and were trying to find where the grenade had come from. Three SHOCK "agents" charged at Nakhu, fortunately he had brought along a gun, and he fired at the three attackers. He shot one and the other two were slammed into by a speeding Humvee.

I saw the three men running towards Nakhu and I remembered all my training. I knew that I was not going to let my boss and leader die, so I sped up and smacked into the last two men. They both went flying like skittles. It was a messy way to die and it did smear blood all over my nice car, but it did the job and I saved Nakhu.

The woman who had thrown the grenade started firing down at the bodyguards but didn't score any hits. A well placed shot from Orbot was all it took to finish off the job. The rest of the SHOCK people came flying down the street in a truck. The truck smashed right through the cordon fence and charged at Nakhu who had moved himself away from the car, he called out for a grenade and he was given one. He stood in front of the truck as it drove closer to him. The rest of the security officials were ready to shoot at the truck as soon as Nakhu got out of the way. The truck was only about twenty metres in front of Nakhu when he pulled the pin out of the grenade and put it down gently. He then dived out of the way, and pulled out his gun. He fired at the grenade with all eight shots of his revolver until he finally hit it. The truck went flying int he air and all three SHOCK terrorists were killed.

To be perfectly honest I don't think I did anything special, all I did was think and keep cool. I was not trained for this, in fact nobody was. I based my grenade move off my favourite action film. The only things that did help me were luck, knowledge and more luck. I am just as surprised as anyone else that I am still alive. I am also going to say right now that Karahar is in a state of emergency. SHOCK is becoming more and more powerful and Karahar cannot solve this right now. Residents of Karahar, prepare for the worst.

Owinn Troop Rotation in Arván

According to spokespeople in the Royal Owinn Army, the troops who had been engaged in Arván are making preparations for returning home. Several hundred Owinn troops, which are a part of the highly trained Mechanized Cavalry Reconnaissance Regiment, were fighting as part of a multinational effort to topple the corrupt government in the rogue state and help the beleaguered population that has suffered under it, as well as rampant crime. According to press releases, the Army claims that "the troopers of the 99th Mechanized Cavalry Reconnaissance Battalion have distinguished themselves in the vicinity of Rippen, Arván, namely its airfield."

At this time it is unclear what losses the Battalion sustained, but reports assure that the Battalion completed its main task. Taking the 99th Battalion's place is a force of soldiers fresh from Shanowinn. They have just recently arrived at the airfield outside of the city of Rippen, and it is believed that this force is somewhat more diverse. A spokesperson with the Army has said that the new contingent is "meant more for security operations rather than breaking an enemy military force in the field. We want to provide medical aid and supplies where necessary." It comprises some Army Police, a Mobile Army Hospital and Emergency Response unit, logistics, and infantry regulars. Neither the Royal Owinn Navy nor Air Force are expected to take a combative role, however they will help to ferry supplies for distribution within Arván.

Contera International Airport, the largest airport in Areguelista, is to be expanded to accommodate several new airlines. The airport is also streamlining the process of flying in and out of Contera International. More details are to be released later.

Rise of the "Beacons" and "Historic Revisionism"

There is a slowly rising faction within the new strange politics of the Highrock Confederation. The Beacon Party, so called because of their message of Jahe being a beacon to the world. A significant growing group in this is the Historic Revisionists, lead by Dr. Gehard Sumpter. They see history as being tainted by foreign nations, claim that the Keomoran Empire exaggerated the glories of their rule, and that new archilogical discoveries show that the Colonial Jahe people were far more advanced.

It is very clear that our whole history was written by ignorant foreigners who did not understand our past. In the higher reaches, they understood, and they wanted to erase it. A people without history are much easier to control. They even burned one of our historic cathedrals, then seeing the resistance they blamed it on one of their own. Evidence shows that at our height, we had prosperity rivaling that of even the great native empires. For the sake of us, and all of the isles, we must continue to uncover our whole history.

However, there is resistance towards this. The Coalition for Limited Government, Citizens for Compromise, and the All Industrial Council all speak very openly against the Beacon Party.

All of this has even gotten comments from Gehard Johan, Civilian Director of the Cornelis era. The man, who's life is now the subject of debate, is normal secluded in his home in Liensbrook. But he speaks now, saying this to us.

This is why the banning of political groups was very important to me. Rather than letting our nation be torn apart by a single madman, we now have to watch thousands of idiots do it. It is sad to see that after all of our struggle, nothing good will come out of all of this.

Interestingly enough, Mr. Johan is almost worshiped by the Beacon Party, who love his strong handed policies, and see him as on a pedestal among great Jahe leaders, along with Albert Cornelis and Wilm Veldmate.

Only time will tell if our new politics can bring about any progress.

KOBNIA FORMALLY SUBMITS ITS CANDIDACY FOR OCWI

CALIGANGRAD - The delegation of the PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF KOBNIA led by veteran diplomat Comrade Susilo Mukul has officially declared its intentions to become a member of the Organization of Communist Nations in the Western Isles (OCWI). The response of the other members of the organization such as VELAH, CHITOWNIA, and the UNITED REPUBLIC OF GREAT BRITAIN remains to be seen, though analysts doubt anything other than a warm response. Recent high level meetings between Velah and KOBNIAN officials have been warm and seen as laying the ground for stronger relations. This will especially be important given the imperialist capitalistic intentions of the insignificant and loud-talking nation of polar svalbard's interest in the nation of Areguelista, a nation that is located in between KOBNIA and Velah.

The leadership of polar svalbard was left so taken aback and disoriented by reports from KOBNIA News Agency, that it took a full three days before the leadership could mount a response. In feeble and empty words, the consul responded by saying KOBNIA is 'not worthy of a response'. The new regional Communist and Socialist alliance has already shaken the weak platform that the capitalist entities in the region find themselves on. polar svalbard immediately sought to avoid any conflict with the OCWI further saying that it should instead focus on military operations close to home. Leadership of the OCWI was not impressed, Comrade Secretary-General Aleksee Kollontai dismissed the bellicose and bombastic response of polar svalbard, going further to state the aims of the Organization are solely peaceful ones. She further warned that other nations should not interfere with the activities of the OCWI.

GREAT LEADER SURAN KO MIRGA welcomed the candidacy of KOBNIA to the OCWI, under his benevolent and wise tutelage he has sought to steer the nation out from its inwardness to a bright and successful of utopia in the world. He spoke in Revolutionary Square in the capital, Akutya, stating "the future of KOBNIA is with her socialist and communist brothers and sisters. Workers! We must all unite to achieve peaceful cooperation! Though we are many, we are one voice singing out the praises of international communism and socialism! The square erupted in loud applause at the GREAT LEADER'S words. With such confidence and radiance from the GREAT LEADER, KOBNIA'S future will only be brighter and brighter.

Murderers Arrested

A police force in the Federal District of the United Republican Lands has apprehended three doctors running an underground abortion clinic. Those three doctors, whose names have not been released due to privacy and safety concerns, are being charged with the murder of 537 human beings. Their trial will be held in one month. Due to the heinous crime they have committed, bail was not offered due to concerns about the safety of those around the doctors. As a result of the arrest, many people have been voicing their support for the arrest and have sent hate mail to the doctors.

The Corindi Department of the Environment Announces Great Strides in the Preservation of Iconic Corindi Species

The Scrub Cardinal, which once had a range covering all of the main island of Corindia, had seen its range reduced to nearly a quarter of what it once in 1976. In the years after this, conservation efforts, including the culling of feral cats and reintroduction programs have helped the species rebound spectacularly, to the point where it has reclaimed nearly all of its original range. While a few large cities are still irrevocably inhospitable to the species, it is now possible for the Corindi people to hear it chirping in the trees throughout the main island. Several populations of the bird have sprung up on neighboring islands as well, although due to poor documentation and the remote location of the nests it is unclear whether this is a recent, man-made development, or even whether these populations are permanent. Secretary Pender has announced an intention to dispatch teams to investigate these populations within the next two years, hopefully bringing back a definitive answer by 2024.

This boon was also extended to several species of fish that have been traditionally fished in small numbers, as well as several other monitors and iguanas that local, poorer Corindi have previously hunted for subsistence purposes. While this has been a largely popular move, those directly affected were understandably opposed to the change, which will see less sources of food for them and their families. To this end, the government has committed to a slight increase in food benefits for poorer Quital residents and a local hiring preference for all departments involved with enforcing the ban.

KASTNER ON URL ARREST: APPALLING AND DISTURBING

Head of Tomorrow party, Fred Kastner, expressed his concern this evening over events in the United Republican Lands. During a press conference on Tomorrow's platform for the upcoming election next week, Kastner was asked about his opinion on the arrest of three doctors who operated an underground abortion clinic in the central Argus nation.

"This is appalling," Kastner asserted. "It is disturbing that a modern-day government can get away with treating women the way they do, and even more disturbing that they present the people who try to help these women as 'murderers'. This is cruel and inhumane, and only shows that 'freedom' in the United Republican Lands is actually an empty word devoid of meaning."

Kastner stressed that as always, residents of other nations who aren't given access to the medical treatment they need, may come to Ostehaar for proper treatment by some of the best doctors in the region.

"I am sure the Prime Minister would agree with me that Ostehaar condemns this action by the United Republican Lands, and if we were not within several days of elections, we would probably have issued a formal statement about it," Kaster concluded.

Agadarian Bay Barnacles Quickly Becoming Invasive in Corindi Harbors

Agadarian Bay Barnacles affixed to exposed rocks on the island of Flore

More and more commercial waterways on and off the main island are reporting the appearance of Agadarian Bay Barnacles in large clusters. These non-native barnacles are quickly spreading wherever trade ships sale and have a penchant for choking out the indigenous species of mollusk and crustacean while being largely avoided by local species of mussel and crab in both larval and adult forms. This has led to a population explosion in some areas, with some reporting coverage rates of over 10%. The Corindi Department of the Environment has not yet released a statement regarding the species yet, but given past aggressive exterminations it is expected that a response to the Barnacle menace from Agadar will be expected soon. In the meantime, it is recommended that all ship's captains be careful about the bilge water they take on and release, particularly in heavily infested areas.
