Eutristan Under Fire

The Eutristinian Government has been taking non-stop punches to the gut after the government released information that has dominated international news for the past two days. This information, the details of drone flights over nearby by IW2 combatants Eurania and New Aepalistan, is highly controversial, and is largely popular as it begs larger questions. Is communism such a bad thing? Are drones safe and effective? Will this unstablilze the political climate? Catherine Andrews, the Supreme Advisor to the King, and only second-in-command to him, has recently made a statement concerning the scenario. First, we would like to give a timeline of the events that have happened so far:

March 16th at 10:50 pm: The Eutristinian government issues a statement concerning drone flights over New Aepalistan and Eurania.
March 17th at 7:55 am: The Euranian Governemnt condemns Eutristan's drone flights and threats the security of the drones.
March 17th at 8:02 am: The Alesinese President Marco issues a statement in support of Eurania, also condemning the flights.
March 17th at 12:22 pm: Mitjevalia issues statement condemning drone flights.
March 17th at 1:36 pm: Jahe Davmwoem speaks out in support of the drone flights.
March 17th at 6:55 pm: Benjamin Roberts issues a second statement on the issue, calling out the other nations credibility.
March 18th at 5:04 am: New Aepalistan claims to have shot down a Eutristinian drone.
March 18th at 5:12 am: Alesinese President Marco issues second statement arguing against the drone program.

Catherine Andrews, much like William James, came from an average middle-class Eutristinian family. She excelled in school and was able to go to Eutristan's most prestigious college, Ambridge University, where she received a Ph.D. in law and a bachelors in Anthropology. She rose in political power after she correctly predicted an economic depression due to inefficient government policies. She is quoted as saying this:

"In no way am I an interventionist. I don't believe the entrance of countries into other sovereign nations is something that should happen unless it is necessary. I do believe that we do in fact have the necessary reasons to peacefully fly drones over both Eurania and New Aepalistan. For some reason, the insinuation has become Eutristan was violent in doing this. How is simply watching something violent? Another unpleasant assumption is that Eutristan simply picked their targets off of political ideals. Eutristan did not issue any statement casting communism in a negative light, or discriminating against them. It is but a coincidence the closest IW2 combatants are communist."

When asked a question on whether she was worried or not about the breaking reports of a shot down drone in New Aepalistan, her response was as follows:

"For some reason, although we have committed none, other nations are responding to this with violence. It is a chilling to think that the immediate response of a government is to simply kill their problems off. I have reviewed this with my intelligence advisors, and we have determined this to be false. Not only did Eutristan withdraw all drones from foreign nations before making the announcement of the flights, upon closer examination, the picture that is assumed proof of this looks nothing like an x47c drone. The jet exhaust in the center of the photo is circular, unlike the drones exhausts which are rectangular. The exhaust also seem to have a rudder and wing attached to it. Not only does the x47c drone not have a rudder, it's wings do not match that of those shown in the picture. Unless the New Aepalistan government can somehow prove of this, I call upon them to withdraw their false statement. Thank you."

Victoire dumps Eric

Government Response to CPS/CPS aims Biological Warheads at Versailles

The days of Victoire and Eric have come to an end. The couple who stole the nation's heart both formally announced the split early yesterday. Apparently during Victoire's birthday party, Eric proposed, Victoire however, did not feel ready and regretfully declined. The embarrassing moment was caught on tape as it happened during Victoire's birthday address to the nation from her home. Eric left promptly afterwards leaving Victoire with a hanging feeling of guilt on her birthday. Angered citizens took to social media and from this two teams have risen, #TeamVic and #TeamEric. Those on Victoire's side state it is not her fault, and that she simply was not ready to marry so soon after loosing Mikl. On the opposing side, the Eric fanboys/girls state He truly loved her, and Victoire is a complete slut as she seems to jump from man to man. Victoire herself commented on the breakup. "I truly wish the best for Eric. He is an amazing person at heart and I more than anyone am very saddened by the events that unfolded. However breakups happen in life and I wish to stay friends with him and keep a good professional relationship. I declined because I felt rushed and did not want to make a choice that I may regret further down the road."

After days of silence and continuous CPS hacking and propaganda broadcasting, the government has finally responded, through Victoire.

"On March 14th former government agency CPS overtook the cities of Annuaire and Riviére and launched a series of attacks on television stations around the nation. Using their new stolen networks, the organization broadcasted numerous propaganda videos in an attempt to persuade viewers to betray their country. Currently, residents of Annuaire and Riviére are being held against their will. CPS has also aimed numerous missiles at Versailles in an attempt to force my resignation. This act of war will not go unheard, and the Pacificer Militia and Doman military are well on their way to the two cities to reclaim them. You also have the right to know that we too have aimed our weapons at Annuaire and Riviére to protect us, and all other locations in the country from CPS's brutality. Please know you are safe, and we are doing all we can to quickly defuse this situation. Thank you."

Prince Trisar Faeur Declares Use of Drones Illegal

After a short deliberation between Prince Trisar Faeur, Ghraibian City Planners, and policy analysts, His Majesty has declared the use of drones, manned or otherwise, illegal by civilians within the limits of Ghraibia City. In an address to the city populace, His Majesty had the following to say:

Call me old fashioned, call me sentimental if you wish. I believe that there are multiple factors of "Drone" usage that quarrel with Ghraibian tradition and morality. Most importantly, privacy and accountability. If a drone can look into your window, then we lose an important aspect of accountability. It's not you who's participating in voyeurism, it's a robot that can fly.

He then continued his argument to the usage of unmanned flight in warfare:

What has been the number one element of protection from travesty and genocide? The unwillingness of men and women to commit acts of moral barbarism against other men. Sitting armies have gained the power of standing armies. Now men can commit acts of genocide against other men without seeing the pain in each other's eyes, the cries of their sons as they see their fathers gutted. Not too long ago our great city was occupied by one of the most devastating military forces in recent history; if they were robots being controlled by sociopaths, the death toll would have been unimaginable.

Recent regional politics have drawn political pundits from all nations to varying conclusions. Oleksander Harela, Kankaran social critic, has called the recent talk of the use of drones by a fellow The Western Isles member "an unnecessary catalyst in the reactionary vacuum of our modern era". However, some voices have come out in support of unmanned fighter warfare. One such voice is prominent Ghraibian nationalist speaker Thomas Agrene Schauff, who said that "each nation may use it's horns of war to lock everyone else's into place. This helps us all respect our boundaries all a bit more".

The ban applies mostly to civilian drones in the main city limits, and does not apply to official procedures by Royal Peacekeeping, nor does it apply to "quadcopters".

With the recent statements of Eutristanian officials the negative opinion of the country is rising in the daily polls on the matter. Throughout the country Eutristanian flags are being burned and Eutristanian immigrants have been advised to stay in their homes. President Marco has issued the following statement:

"This is complete and utter nonsense. Why on earth would they issue a statement saying they had drones over IW2 combatants and then supposedly say that they had actually withdrawn all the drones. It seems to me as if they made the statement AFTER doing reconnaissance so they were less likely to be stopped. I believe that New Aapelistan did in fact shoot down a Eutristanian drone but the Eutristanian government is too cowardly to admit it. However I find it sad that Eutristanian immigrants are being blamed for their governments foolish actions and I condemn that. However the growing discontent towards Eutristan is justified and unless they stop their foolish interventionism I hope it continues.

Now, onto the statement that Eutristan did not target communist nations:

Well, that too is also complete nonsense. Camtholia, a former IW2 combatant is closer than New Aapelistan. Camtholia could still be participating in the conflict behind the scenes for all we know, although I greatly doubt it. This whole thing is completely ridiculous and it simply will not stand.

P: While the self-contradictory 'leadership' of the anarchist CITB fled to the north of the country, many anarchist and CITB-affiliated bureaucrats and workers were arrested as the capital was seized. In his speech, Phillipe Gamet, the leader of the ALTM and deputy secretary of the Boulovorian Communist Party granted mercy to these prisoners.

6 Killed In Compione Shooting

2 hours ago 6 people were killed in a shooting in the streets of Compione. The shooter, Pharamond François was a French-Alesinese man who had gotten an AK-74 from the black market. He gunned down 6 people before being shot in the chest 4 times with a Glock 17 by a police officer. Pharamond then collapsed. His gun was confiscated by Police Officers. He died in hospital 45 minutes later. Investigation is currently under way into why Pharamond shot those people.

There is also talk of tightening gun laws although President Marco has already stated that Pharamond got those weapons through the black market so tighter gun laws will not do much. President Marco has also stated that tightening gun laws attacked the symptoms but not the plague: The Black Market and the Cartels.

Today, the Radical Workers' Party of Boulovor has declared solidarity with Bonodia's Anti-Stalinist Front. The expression of sibling-hood has been necessary to send a strong message that the internationalist socialist, communist, and general workers' movement do not ally themselves with the Stalinist policies of nostalgia-obsessed socialist governments. The PTRB declares that Stalinism is simply another expression of oppression and is counter-revolutionary, straying away from the goals of a communist workers' paradise.

The FAS understands that this is a momentous occasion; it marks the first state recognition of the legitimacy of the FAS's claim to Bonodian government. Aristocratic power increase?

The evening of March 19th some strange changes occurred in the north of the Dual Consulate Monarchy. It all began 18:23 when the department government of Nordonia passed a law which gives the traditional and ceremonial power of a community to the highest ranked aristocrat of that community. That means that the 12 districts in the department of Nordonia suddenly became 'aristocratic ruled' although the community government does have all the power of course. This law passed the department government because of the conservatives which form a coalition with the confessionals form a majority.

19:58, the same law is copied and accepted by the confessionals in the department government of New-Cristo. The 13 districts in New-Cristo would also receive a ceremonial leading position in each community. And around 21:18 exactly the same law also passed the community government in Frostonia which would say a total of around 40 communities would become officially a duchy, county or barony.

With this change many protest started. Mostly in the southern departments which are far more liberal or socialist people demanded the central government to do something. Since Great-Imperialonia is a unitary state every decision of a department can be overruled by the Senate and the Consuls. Also some people of the CWP (Communist Worker Party) started with protesting but as soon as they raised their flag they were arrested since their organisation is banned.

Also in the capital city Frosto was confusion. The Senate started a debate at 22:00 and it is still busy. The conservatives and the confessionals are in favour of the new ceremonial duties of the high ranked aristocrats but the socialists and liberals are strongly against it. But the socialists and liberals have exactly 50 seats in the Senate (32 for socialist and 18 for liberal) and the conservative-confessional coalition also 50 (conservative 29 and confessional 21). No change can pass the Senate if all parties keep their ideology. The only way to stop this 'increase of unfair powers' (as Senator Tim Bonan (socialist) says) is to prove that this can't be done with an amendment. Then there needs to be a ⅔ majority and it won't pass.

In the meantime the same law is debated in the department government of Numeldon and the department government of Rivierpendola. If it would be accepted the majority of communities is ceremonial ruled by aristocrats.

The Consuls did not react to this, but most people say they are probably in favour since Consul Wessel is an aristocrat himself and Consul Melas is the former Emperor so also good relations with the aristocrats. If this is not considered an amendment this could be a huge change for the Consulate Monarchy and this would probably save the aristocratic influence in the Monarchy since the Empire was dissolved.

Official condemnation of the Pacific Peace Union

Today, prominent members of the Ducal Republic expressed their deepest disgust at the nation of the Pacific Peace Union. Duke Manolo made a speech to the cheering crowd, promising revenge at the human rights abuses that take place in the nation.

"The Pacific Peace Union has misjudged us. When they shot LaTisha Mokambe, they expected us to keel over and accept it. Their government killed an innocent Basso-Estenan citizen, for expressing the right to free speech. This disgusts me. The way they treat the poor, killing them like barbarians, is a disgusting breach of their human rights. I demand an international trial, where their government can be exposed of their crimes. They make bio weapons, and do human experimentation. This disgusts me. It is against the geneva conventions. They must be held accountable for these terrible crimes. We shall hold a complete embargo of all of their products. Furthermore, the CEO of the Lancetti corporation has agreed with me on this. No ships from basso-Estena will carry trade and goods to them. We will go out of our way to avoid their products."

After this speech, there were cheers. The duke returned to his castle and there was a public burning of a PPU flag.

The Green color and blue wheat that were the colors of the Starchase fleet flag have been removed and instead now the flag has only the red and white colors with the a torched iluminated.

in an earlier anouncement from the Head of States office it was noted that the emblem of the blue wheat with red tag shall still be the symbol of state and all official representation. The Governmental guard will still wear it ribbon in important events as part of the tradition and honor of the Starchase fleet.

Ministrty of Foreign Affairs Renamed, CPS Deemed 'Class A Terrorist Organization'

Earlier this month, the Second Metamorphism Act was passed in the House of the People, garnering a 171 Y - 25 N - 4 A vote in the Lower State, and the Coalition successfully passing it in the Upper State, 80 Y - 20 N. All Coalition members voted for the act, while only a small minority of Opposition members voted 'aye.' This comes after the First Metamorphism Act was passed in October, setting the stage for a reassembling of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretariat, and other Departments, which was fully completed in January when the House was re-seated. However, the Second Metamorphism Act faced controversy when it was first proposed in November, due to it's ramifications, and was put on hold until now. The Act will rename multiple Departments, and shuffle around powers in the Exectuive Branch and in the Secretariat.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been officially renamed to the Directorate of State. Grace Empyr is now the Directress of State, and the Speaker of the Queen. More autonomy has been granted to the ministry, and there are closer ties to the intelligence community. Other parts of the bill have not been implemented yet, but include: DI-3 separating from the Directorate for National Defense, and the Treasury gaining more powers in identifying counterfeit currency and fraud.

In other news about the Directorate of State, CPS has been officially deemed a Class A Terrorist Organization. As with all Class A TOs, of which there are not many, any sign of interaction is a punishable offense. Support of CPS will result in a minimum prison sentence of 15 years, and may result in capital punishment - the first time in the past century that it has been evoked.

Where is Victoire?

Yesterday's bombing of Pacifique is continuing to plague the nation. The nearby hospitals are overflowing, and the death count is currently at 80. Exploding in the downtown area, the bomb impacted important buildings including the cities elementary school. Luckily it was Sunday and school was not in session but the damage to the building is immense and the general area is still incredibly toxic so an estimated 800 children Grades k-5 cannot finish up their school year. Other notable buildings that were heavily damaged include the Museum of Science and Engineering, the Pacifique Art Museum, and Lothair Station (the nation's 2nd largest train station). The city is currently being evacuated and residents are being relocated to the suburbia surrounding the metropolis. The IDA, dressed in Hazmat suits are also investigating ground zero of the bomb trying to determine exactly what chemical the city is dealing with.

This attack was followed shortly by a gun fight that happened on the Le Domaine Juane residence. Apparently CPS extremists thought Victoire was staying at a Chateau located on the grounds and so a full out attack broke loose in the Estate's forest. Explosions, smoke, gun fire all polluted the usually extremely calm atmosphere of Versailles. Currently, police and military are investigating the area and they have the entire city on lock down.

Both of these incidents have sparked outrage with the general populace. In Vuileries protests have begun taking place where people are parading around with mold's of Victoires severed head on a stick. The people demanding her death. They say the attack on Pacifique was her attempt to silence the growing amount of CPS supporters. They also say the government's heavy investment in keeping Versailles safe is unfair, cruel, and blatant favoritism. However, Victoires current whereabouts are unknown. The Domaine press secretary said for her own safety and the nation's security, President Antoinette is being kept in a confidential location.

On top of all this the governments attempts to take back Annuaire are still ongoing. The city being plagued by warfare is crumbling as buildings are being destroyed and innocent civilians are being killed. Sanghikariyans Flock to Alesini to View Jesus' Birth

Following hyped up tabloid news coverage regarding a questionably sane Alesinian, Mr. Fiscella, thousands of Sanghikariyans have flocked to the home of Tonio Fiscella to view the birth of Jesus, the leading holy figure of the Christian religion whom Christians claim was born at 0 CE. Jesus is believed to be the most important figure of the Christian religion, making locals in Alesini reply to Mr. Fiscella in ridicule. Of those Sanghikariyans who went to view the egg, most were college students from the University of Sanghikariya who were on the line about going to Alesini for their spring break vacations.

"I'm sooo excited", Meghya Sambudh, an excited university student waiting in line at Sanghikariya International Airport told our SGT reporter. "Like, my friends and I were just really not sure where to go for break this time. We were between some really exotic places like Kamieniec Podolski, PPU, and Alesini, but I mean, PPU's is going to junk now, and then when we heard about the Jesus egg, we were totally stoked! Like, who wouldn't want to see Jesus? He had a pretty strong beard game going on." Many young adults like Ms. Sambudh have subsequently packed their bags and set off for the sunny shores of Alesini, also waiting in anticipation for their viewing of the Jesus egg.

Sanghikariya and Athara Magarat sign tourism deals

The Minister of Foreign Affairs from Athara Magarat, RIm Garbuja met with the Chairman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sanghikariya to sign agreements on tourism sectors. Around 60% of the Kham Magars identify themselves as Buddhists and 30% as Hindus.

"Sanghikariya has many holy sites for people of the two major religions of our nation", said Garbuja. "Most of the Kham Magar population stiil view other nations with suspicion. Sanghikariya has set an example by establishing good diplomatic relations with us."

The Chairman meanwhile said that several holy sites would be open to Kham Magara pilgrims.

Tar reaching record numbers in downloads

The anonymous-identity web browser Tar is ranking record sales over the past couple of days, as of 3/23/16, There has been 22 million downloads of Tar, mainly in the west, but also in the east and central. Skynyx, the producer of Tar, has decided to keep Tar free, and has established the Tar network, where connections to websites are relayed in patterns difficult to track. Tar's competitors are not behind - The software Anonynet and Unkoma are 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Tar's current demographics based on downloads were adults whose jobs were based entirely/almost all in computers, and teens who frequently browse the web. Skynyx is also working on new anti-tracking methods to better increase the quality of Tar. Current proposals involve mouse movement, wifi, and the website itself.

YARCHAGUMBA MARKET SWELLS UP

A recent data collected by the Ministry of Finance and Economics has revealed that the market for Yarchagumba (Cordyceps) is growing. The plant-insect also known as Himalyan Viagra is found abundant in Athara Magarat. It was first brought to Athara Magarat by Sherpa traders from the Himalayan region of Nepal. The rare medicinal plant has been grown in the central mountainous regions of Athara Magarat where the numbers of Yarchagumba has rapidly swelled up.

"People across the Western Isles are understanding the value of this rare herb finally", said a local Yarchagumba farmer and collector Pemba Tulachan. The herb can cure intestinal problems, fatigue, cholestrol, blood pressure, asthma, hemorrhage, tumor, tetanus and many other diseases.

"This is good news for us and our economy", said the minister adding the fact that a kilogram of Yarchagumba fetches around $1000 or more.

Royal University of Ghraibia Suspends All On-Campus Politics

Following round-the-clock protests by RUG feminist organization JAMDW (Joan of Arc Modern Day Warriors), RUG Dean Mordecai Falrus has implemented an outdoor curfew and has absolved 50+ campus organizations of official recognition. These measures being implemented after an open letter from the Secretary of Faeur Palace, which stated:

It is the opinion of His Majesty Prince Trisar Faeur that these agitators stand to do nothing more than undermine the stability of our city and academic institutions. Since when is it okay to deface historical landmarks? To do damage to the grounds on which you walk?

(In this letter, the secretary is referring to the defacing of RUG's famous statue of Faeur I, which was sloppily covered in lipstick and given a bra by protesters on Monday.)

The Royal University of Ghraibia is famous for it's tolerance of political protest and expression, stemming from the days of The Great Occupation, which saw a student movement for Ghraibian independence gain popular support among greater society. However, on-campus politics have led to contention before, most notably in 1998, when RUG was given censored copies of the regional literary classic Paix, leading to the largest walkout ever seen in local academic history.

His Majesty Prince Trisar Faeur is yet to make a direct statement, although it is believed among regional allies that the Secretary was acting under Faeur's direct orders.

Dean Falrus issued an official order to all students and faculty, outlining the imposed curfew restrictions, stating "no student, barring medical or familial emergency, is to leave their dormitory after 8:30 PM...", and going on to state "no student-led organization, regardless of official status or political inclination, may hold any demonstration, protest, or gathering. Furthermore, no groups larger than 4 may assemble in public".

Regardless of His Majesty Prince Trisar Faeur's lack of direct response, leaders among the campus's political scene were quick to voice their opinions. This tweet from suspended JAMDW leader Sasha Ghraza:
