Recent oil prospectors from Dopplers major oil industry (Amulet oil co) have discovered a large pocket of oil in the islands just south of Doppler itself. The Government of Doppler is looking to claim these islands as it will improve the economy for Doppler. Amulet oil co is planning on off shore drilling from the islands. In an act to secure the islands the Doppler Armed Forces have sent 5 frigates, 1 destroyer, 5 apache attack helicopters, 10 sea stallion helicopters, 10 Chinook helicopters, 5 Osprey Transport Helicopters, and 1k Soiders (750 active forces, 250 reserve forces) to secure the islands. The first offshore drill is planned to start construction tomorrow.

Tuernia Victory Over Dibeg

Residents of Theveste streamed into Stade de Tuernie last night, to watch a screening of the first game of the WIFAF season. The screening was provided free of charge by the Ministry of Culture and Sport, and several thousand people were in attendance. Tuernians are passionate about football, and the fact that Tuernia was competing for the first time internationally was a matter of national celebration.

The mood in the stadium was electric, as the incredibly close game played out. Desan FC, Dibeg's team, scored the first point, followed by Tuernia FF. People watched intently as the game continued, and when Tuernia scored a second point with only a few minutes left, the cheering could be heard clear across Theveste.

This is only the first game of the season, but people's hopes are high. Every Tuernian is cheering on the team, and the nation's eyes are on the Western Isles Cup.

Lizards Win!

Ever since the establishment of the Football team, many were proud to see the Lizards, with the fact they have less people then most provinces, win their first game. As well as one coach, many saluted the team. Free cruise ship tickets will be held out in Remodio City, to Danube to visit the players.

Joseph Goering was happy to see his personal favorite team, the Nukes win. Though happy about it, he is concerned with other things to celebrate. Though not a surprise, Kellinger Co revealed they owned the Nukes.

Colonies independent?
Breaking news! Last week there was some rebellion in the colonies of Imperialonia. There were some revolutions because the SRS (Serian rebellion soldiers) wanted an independent state. Now the colonies of Imperialonia are completely ruled by the emperor and Great-Imperialonia. The rebellions took over Imperialonia-City the capital city of the colonies. Our emperor had long negotiations with his ministers. Every one thought they were talking about an attack plan, but then they suddenly invited Youri Kingsbell, the leader of the rebellions!

Kingsbell had long meetings with the emperor and his ministers and suddenly, today, they declared that the rebellions will retread from the capital city, but they will form a political party. Yes, the emperor has decided that the colonies of Imperialonia will become an separated autonomic region!

Before we start telling you about the parliament. We we tell something about the colonies. The colonies are being a part of Great-Imperialonia since fifty years. They lay across the ocean (about a 1500 kilometres) and are only the coastline and the isles before the coast. There is only one big city: Imperialonia-city. Before it was conquered by Imperialonia, the had an own (unstable state) Serian.

The parliament of the colonies (because it won't get the name Serian) is formed by 150 seats. The party with most of the seats (more then 75) can become the autonomic leader of the colonies. He can decide most of the things, only central things will be decided in Frosto.

"This is total madness!" So says the (former) President-General of the colonies. He was always the boss of the lands. Now he needs to step down as President-General. He will only stay a governor. The colonies are under his supervision, but it is more a ceremonial function.
"Put rebellions in a parliament? They will only destroy what we built up these 50 years. They will take down our economy and everything else!" (The governor)

The only thing that was tense, is the compulsory military service. Still, the boys and girls of the colonies need to be in the Great-Imperialonian army. Kingsbell was not to happy about that. Emperor Melas said that that was the price they needed to pay for independence. The elections of the colonies are in one week and the parliament is formed in two weeks.

Last night Randmar conducted military operations on foreign soil for the first time in history in a bid to calm the rioting in Andersite. Information from Andersite is sketchy at best and the local government is apparent "unavailable" for questioning, now calm your conspiracy theories there is more solid news today. This order to conduct military operations did not come from President Cole or from the Senate, it came from Speaker Mark Casey using Senatorial authorization.

The Speaker is also unavailable for question, but this is due to his presence in the Wegsien Jail awaiting his trail for his actions. Due to the some claims that this is a case of treason, Speaker Casey will not be brought before the local judges but rather a military tribune. Based on a recent poll it appears that 56% of Randmarians are not certain if this is a case of Treason, 26% believe it is not as he was acting in our best interest, 16% belief it is and that he should be executed while 2% belief he did what he should have.

The Fate of our previously favored Speaker is uncertain since he is not going to be judged by his peers, but rather a military court.

Ministry of Welfare Announcement - Suspension of All Buddhist Temples in Yogikarta

Due to detection of high-stress levels in Yogikarta Metropolitan Authority caused by an increase in Buddhist radicalism, the System, with authorization from the Executive Parliament of Bhumidol, has ordered the temporary closing of all Buddhist temples across Yogikarta, on suspicion of terrorist collaboration.

The Ministry of Welfare would like to remind it's citizens in the city to remain in the safety of their own houses. If you must travel on the streets, avoid contact with protesting radicals. Bh-108 agents and ground force will be deployed shortly to calm extremists on the street, and will shortly re-establish order in the city. The Ministry understands that these are difficult times for our nation, but assures that all citizens can find solace in the safety of their homes, with regular updates through the State Television Channel.

All Buddhist monks and lay-people found to be collaborating with terrorist organizations or in any other intent against their nation will be tried by the Ministry of Welfare for treason against the Bhumhalese democracy.

EPB Struggles, while the System Saves

07:29 - Sanghikariya - Yesterday evening, the EPB gave authorization to the System to handle Yogikarta, a city which in recent weeks had approached a near state of anarchy with hate crimes on the rise, and the city's economy which ground to a halt. In a single night, the System rounded up nearly 2,000 miscreants, 20 extremist monks, and set up counseling and mediation centers to neutralize the extremist attitudes that had taken the city by storm.

In a single-night, the System solved a problem that the EPB had fumbled over, much less even attempt to solve. Such ineptitude nearly sent the nation spiraling into chaos, and well on it's way to rejoin the ranks of third-world nations. Although one might argue that no real harm was ultimately done, the millions of city dwellers in Yogikarta, who now face extensive and multiple cases of psychological therapy show how disastrous slow governance can be.

For a modern, 21st century nation as diverse as Bhumidol, the government should be able to handle a problem immediately, and effectively. For our nation to remain stable for the people's benefit, we have to recognize that human governance is simply too slow in this day and age. While yes, democracy offers to let everyone speak their voice and whatnot -- as if that should help put food on the table -- the proposed liberties of such a system power to people and ultimately their ideas, forcing our nation to berate to western thought and philosophy on politics and government.

Though many people may be hesitant with it, it's time for our nation to seriously reconsider democracy.

Two Losses for Tuernia

Football fans across Tuernia were saddened by another defeat for Tuernia FF last night. This makes two losses in a row, first against Shancion and now Mubaru. The first game was a close 2-1 match, but the latter was a 4-2 blowout. People have begun to speculate that the team may have lost heart, while others insist this is only a bit of bad luck.

One thing's for sure, we're only three games into a ten game season. Tuernians are hopeful that things will improve as we go along.

Dibeg Space Program: Space Station Project

The Dibeg Space Program is currently working to build a space station in low earth orbit. The plan was originally to build a station capable of housing fifteen astronauts, but due to a funding cut, plans have been scaled back. Currently the Project is in phase three, which plans to send four astronauts into low earth orbit to better understand the conditions. An extensive planning process for this phase began two years ago, and is now complete. Just yesterday the chosen astronauts were announced. Leading the team is experienced astronaut John Hicks, who lives in Bewad. John has led three missions before, an this will be his fifth time in outerspace.
Also on the team will be experienced Dibegian astronauts Claud Mcgort and Gunner Condon. The fourth member of the team is Tuernian 27 year old Samuel Myers. This will be Myers first trip to space, and the first Tuernian to ever go into space. The Dibegian and Tuernian governments have worked together on this project, with some high quality computer programs for the ship being designed by Tuernians.
The rocket is scheduled to take off in late June of this year, and the astronauts will remain in space for three days.

Kingdom in bed with Kamieniec Podolski

Today the Royal Kingdom of Mubaru announced that the youngest male in the Royal Flaqar House, Archer Flaqar, would be married off to Maria Wiśniowiecki, daughter of Jeremi Wiśniowiecki, a high ranking military official nicknamed the Iron Hand for his brutality in the Kamieniec Podolski army. The King and his Cabinet hope this marriage will begin a new era of relations between the outspoken Catholic nation and Mubaru, and terms set forth in an earlier announced declaration, "DAM", will begin to take place later this month.

The Kingdom also plans to announce an investment plan towards the Canal being constructed in Kamieniec Podolski, in order to increase the quality, and stability of the canal for future use. Chief of State, Abraham Harun, said in a statement earlier this week; "The canal being constructed in Kamieniec Podolski will bring many economic advantages, and with the signing of the economic and defense pact, Mubaru has an interest in promoting the use and quality of the Canal. To which the King and our cabinet have decided unanimously to support the construction and upkeep of the Canal by offering an extended Credit Line to the Kingdom of Kamieniec Podolski. Details of the Investment will be announced by the RFC."

Kamieniec Canal a Safety Hazard!
New Canal's construction is unsafe, unethical, and results in an unusable canal

The new canal being built across the central landmass in the nation of Kamieniec has multiple flaws. Its very construction is fraught with error. After initial plans to dig the canal entirely by artillery shell were found to be unreasonable, the builders still used artillery shells, with the effect of making it much harder to dig the earth the shells had compressed. These shells also disturbed the native wildlife in the marshy region that the canal is being built. There live several endangered species, one of which is endemic to this region, and these species were severely damaged by the shelling. Although few animals were hit by the shells, the sound and vibrations caused by the shells caused a huge environmental disturbance. Companies and nations that support this canal are also supporting the unethical and unsustainable treatment of wildlife. When the IONCC was built, proper measures were taken to minimize environmental impact. The building process used heavy machinery only where necessary, and only during proper times and for a reasonable duration. All materials were transported along a single road running by the canal, reducing environmental impact. The IONCC is also environmentally sustainable after its construction. It has two dedicated wildlife overpasses, specifically for small land animals to cross. The electricity source of the IONCC is primarily solar panels and wind energy, but the water pumps at the locks also function as turbines and generators when water is being directed down hill. The IONCC was built and is operated sustainably, the new Kamieniec canal is not.

The IONCC is one of the safest canals in the world. It is over 70 feet deep in places, and is wide enough for two supertanker ships to pass at every point. The effects of bow-cushion have been minimized by a specially designed canal wall that breaks the cushion, allowing for safer passing. The artificial bottom of the canal also minimizes hull suction, making ships easier to steer, and more efficient to motor.
The new Kamieniec canal was not planned to include sidewalls at all until construction was well underway. This means that unless there are significant delays, the builders simply do not have time to put in specially designed artificial canal walls and bottoms. This also means that the cross-section profile of the canal is not optimized for safety, or for building Canal walls at all. This means that the walls could be unsafe, and structurally unsound. Erosion may be rampant.

The IONCC strongly urges all shipping corporations to formally boycott the new Kamieniec canal, as by supporting it, they would be putting their ships at great risk, and supporting environmentally damaging construction practices. The IONCC suggests that companies boycotting the new canal should post as such on their website, and notify their clients. Any clients or insurers of shipping companies should make sure that the company they are involved with boycotts the new canal to protect their monetary interests, and support the environment. The IONCC also hopes that environmental organizations of many nations will make statements about the unsafe construction practices of the new canal.

IONCC REPORT; FRAUD, MISINFORMED
Due to overwhelmingly false evidence portrayed in the IONCC's report on the Kamieniec Canal, the development team and RFC raise questions on the subject, and provide truthful information on the matters clouded in fabrication by the IONCC. Special Report Below.


Working in conjunction with the government of Kamieniec Podolski, The Royal Finance Committee has released a statement regarding the legitimacy of the IONCC's report.

The IONCC's report questioned the ethical, technological, and environmental integrity of the construction of the Kamieniec Canal. The report claims that; "Its very construction is fraught with error. After initial plans to dig the canal entirely by artillery shell were found to be unreasonable, the builders still used artillery shells, with the effect of making it much harder to dig the earth the shells had compressed. These shells also disturbed the native wildlife in the marshy region that the canal is being built. There live several endangered species, one of which is endemic to this region, and these species were severely damaged by the shelling. Although few animals were hit by the shells, the sound and vibrations caused by the shells caused a huge environmental disturbance."

Not only are these claims false, they are a blatant attack on the Kamieniec Canal in an attempt to steer international opinion in favor of the IONCC. The Royal Finance Committee of The Kingdom of Mubaru has worked in conjunction with the government and planning committees of Kamieniec Podolski, in an effort to make the Canal and it's surrounding environment safe, and stable. To these ends, the overall plan to use artillery shells in construction of the canal were scrapped before any shelling took place, due to safety and environmental concerns brought up by the public. Adding on the misinformation provided by the IONCC, the area in which the canal construction is taking place is not in fact a marsh, nor is it a wetland. The claim that endangered species that inhabited the supposed "marsh" were harmed in any way by artillery shelling, is false, in that there were no artillery shells used in the process, as well as there being no evidence of endangered species in the area.

Since there were no artillery used in the development of the Canal, the claims made by the IONCC are utterly fabrication and clear propaganda.

Another portion of the IONCC's report claims; "The new Kamieniec canal was not planned to include sidewalls at all until construction was well underway. This means that unless there are significant delays, the builders simply do not have time to put in specially designed artificial canal walls and bottoms. This also means that the cross-section profile of the canal is not optimized for safety, or for building Canal walls at all. This means that the walls could be unsafe, and structurally unsound. Erosion may be rampant."

While previous concerns were raised on the subject by the Royal Finance Committee towards the planning of the Kamieniec Canal regarding the engineering of the cross-section, the date at which the Canal is planned to be complete has been pushed back, in an effort to redesign the structural integrity of the Canal. The RFC would like to stress that appropriate measures are being taken to ensure the technological stability of the Canal, and have personally overseen the development changes. Indeed, the completion of the Canal will be delayed, but not because of the information given in this report. The arising problems were pinpointed, and measures were taken to solve the potential hazards before any serious construction took place.

As stated earlier, the IONCC did not research the construction of the Canal, nor did they provide any solid evidence of any environmental disruptions or use of artillery shelling in their report. The empty claims made by the IONCC were nothing more than a horrid display of business ethics, using misinformation to degrade or otherwise tarnish the reputation of the Kamieniec Canal, for fears of economic loss in competition.

Regarding the concerns that many nations may have, stemming from this report of the IONCC, the development team in charge of the Kamieniec Canal have agreed to make the blueprints, plans, and construction materials used in the development of the canal readily available for international inspection. A weekly report will be filed and made public, so that truthful, non biased information can be used for the general population to become informed on the actual status of the Kamieniec Canal.

The Royal Finance Committee, as well as the Kingdoms of Mubaru and Kamieniec Podolski urge corporations and nations alike to disregard the statement given by the IONCC, as proven by this report, are false and unreliable. A full investigation on the source of the statement has been launched to identify those in management of the IONCC that are apart of the scandal, in an effort to make public, the unethical practices of the IONCC.

Tarrjiim Museum of Natural History reopens after lengthy renovation

Nearly fifteen months have passed since the doors of the Tarrjiim Museum of Natural History were closed for repair and renovation. Last year, routine maintenance check found several cracked support columns in the lower levels, forcing the Museum to cease operation while the damage was repaired. Constructed in 1887, the building is one of the oldest in Jaamar. It remains the largest museum in Tarrjiim's waterfront Museum Square, which currently is home to five museums, with eight more in the surrounding neighbourhood.

The Museum's board of directors say that they used the Museum's temporary closure to find and develop new exhibits. In particular The Hall of Fossils has been completely overhauled, and now features a nearly complete Tyrannosaurus rex specimen discovered in northern Jaamar last fall.

The Tarrjiim Museum of Natural History, as always, offers free admittance.

Tuernia Tie With Verdon

After a streak of two losses, Tuernia's luck may be turning around in the Western Isles Cup. The last game against Verdon was a 1-1 tie. The game was a long and strenuous fight, with both sides struggling to make any advance.

Tuernia is still near the bottom of the pack, but we have six more games to get into the top ranks. Tuernians are cautiously optimistic that the team will be able to make the best of a bad situation, and possibly qualify for the finals.

First Tuernian in Space

Samuel Myers will become the first Tuernian in space in late June. As part of the Dibegian space program, he will be accompanying three Dibegian astronauts in a preliminary mission for a future space station.

This is seen as a huge step forward for Tuernia, as not only is Myers entering orbit, but Tuernian scientists and engineers were involved in the project itself. Certainly there is the possibility of further Tuernian involvement in the space station project. It is also a big step in Tuernia-Dibeg relations, since the announcement, Dibeg's popularity has soared in Tuernia, with 78% of people having a "very positive" opinion of the country.

Tuernia Reaches Deal with Remodio Over LGBT Citizens

In back-channel negotiations, President Martin Allard has created an important agreement with Dictator Joseph Goering of Remodio. Recently Remodio published a list of laws, one of which banned same-sex marriage with a penalty of up to 24 years in prison. Seeing this as a sign of potentially even more harsh treatment of LGBT people, President Allard began negotiations with Dictator Goering.

After several exchanges, Remodio has agreed to allow LGBT citizens to emigrate. This means approximately one million Remodions will be seeking to leave their country for more welcoming lands. Tuernia has already pledged to harbor at least 20,000 of these as asylum seekers, while searching for other nations willing to take the rest.

Most beloved Joseph Goering has made negotiations with the president of Tuernia. Emigration will be allowed. Here at the RNP Building, we were disappointed to see Lisa Providence leave, as she plans to marry her loved one, Katherine. She said she plans to continue her job in Tuernia.

To celebrate this, Remodion prisons released LGBT inmates who got arrested for attempted marriage. A horde of men and women waited outside today at Sewell Correctional Facility. Today, Joseph announced, will be Gay Pride Day, where inmates will be released for the day, and get free rides to nations accepting immigrants.

Southern Vidnoye Canal regulation update

Today the EPA PPU and Vidnoye Release new regulations to ensure safe travel in our great regions waters. The New regulations are listed below.

The Owning Nations shall have the authority and responsibility for coordinating the prevention and control of any dangerous events, acts, and accidents which may occur during navigation in Canal waters, for the purpose of safeguarding Canal operations, including the following:

1. Disasters, principally spills of oil and other noxious substances.
2. Elimination of waste.
3. Jettison, principally of the industrial type
4. Transit of dangerous goods
5. Ballast management.

Vessels shall inform of any incident that interferes or hinders safe navigation in Canal waters.

Vessels may not empty their ballast while in canal waters

Vessels may not eliminate any waste while in canal waters

Vessels must allow inspection of goods to ensure no dangerous goods are being taken across the canal

Vessels shall not enter canal waters knowing they are at risk of spilling toxic chemicals into the water

All Vessels must keep a copy of these rules and regulations aboard their ship

First Aapelistanian satellite in space

As the New Aapelistanian Space Program (or shortly NASP) has been trying to get a satellite to the Earth's orbit, they have been failed. Only 1 hour and 23 minutes (2.34 East Aprosian timezone) the NASP launched their first satellite GS-1. The GS-1 is meant to research more of our planet from the orbit. NASP has been announced that they will continue their satellite program and in the same time, they try to send a man to tge space.
