Yarkandi Military Base Construction Finished

Not too long ago, the nations of Yarkandi and Myrtillia became allies and parners in the Myrtillia-Yarkandi Diplomatic Alliance. The treaty allowed both nations to build a military base in one another. Yarkandi immediately capitalized on this and began building a military base here in the south of Myrtillia. The base has naval and air capabilities and will expand Yarkandi's range to the south-eastern part of the region within aerial and naval capabilities.

Former Vice President Henri de Nanterre has officially taken the position of President. With former president Florence Belrose found dead this morning the stability of Myrtillia was expected to be shattered. However it appears this is not the case. PRF Captures Orvigne!

At 3:28 this morning the Papal Restoration Front captured the town Orvigne. The 40 man garrison was obliterated and the PRF moved into the town. Orvigne is the first town to be captured by the PRF and they have made it their base. There are an estimated 6,000 PRF soldiers. While their numbers are not high they are very well equipped. Myrtillians are advised to stay inside and, if possible arm themselves. All non catholic Myrtillians are strongly advised to get to the capital as PRF soldiers are executing all non Catholics including Christians of other denominations.

Independence Granted to Colony; Reaction of Populace Mixed

On Thursday, our Free Land of Ansu granted partial independence to the colony of Champouxia, located between Fengtsui and Night's Edge. Long hailed for its efficiency and devotion to the Empire, Champouxia has now been given the ability to elect regional officers and create their own policies. Elections are expected to take place within a month.

However, the reaction of the citizens of Champouxia is highly varied. Many are overjoyed, with a large assembly of Champouxians congregating in Rivan Square for a spontaneous celebration the night of the announcement, but some have their doubts. "I just don't feel like we're ready for this kind of responsibility," said one Champouxian who requested to remain anonymous. "We've always been just another part of the Empire. We don't really have a regional identity of our own, to speak of."

Only time will tell how Champouxia responds to this. For now, the current president, Sato Minami, has said that policies will remain unchanged until a stable government has been put in place, and that he has great hope for the future of his nation.

Race Towards Oil Non-Dependence

Although Vancouvia is a world leader in the production of clean energy, namely solar, wind, and nuclear, it is still reliant on oil. Today a survey by the National Geology and Oceanology Organization revealed that the offshore oil pockets located south and east of Rochester Falls are rapidly decreasing. The NGOO estimates that Vancouvia will run out of national reserves by the end of the 2016, assuming no new deposits are discovered.

"We have prepared for this situation," said Congress in a statement. "We are increasingly weaning our nation off of oil and natural gas, and this survey's information will do nothing to harm our businesses nor our citizens. We have increased our renewable energy budget to compensate for this new information, and we expect that we may be virtually completely clean energy sufficient before the reserves run dry."

The Ballistic Missle Corps of the Army has aimed it's IRBM missles to different cities in Great Imperialonia and the military is now calling ALL conscripts to register their names at the nearest military base.

Tanks have been spotted rolling up the northern areas of the Sharko Federation and are swifty heading towards the Great Imperialonian border. Border guards from the Bhikkustan base have been called to quickly be redeployed to the northern border with Great Imperialonia.

Great-Imperialonia woke up today because of the Sharkonian nation signed war with the Dual Consulate Monarchy. They moved their soldiers in offensive ways towards the Imperialonian border. SWSS Breaks Up Protest
Asorist Leader Calls for March on Parliament

Protesters face SWSS officers

Following increasing civil unrest and violence in the tent city of Brechridge Square, Stone Wall Security Solutions has stepped in under new police jurisdiction to break up the ongoing protest. After several violent clashes over the past several weeks, city leaders agreed to Lord Wessich's suggestions regarding a full dispersal of the protest. SWSS officers entered the tent city this morning with non-lethal tactics. According to eye witnesses, some Asorist protesters resisted, escalating the dispersal to violent action. It is unknown at this time how many have been injured, but reports show the use of tear gas and rubber bullets, as well as high-powered water cannons. The Square has been fully emptied of protesters, and work is underway from city contractors to clear the remnants of the movement's dwelling there.

In response to the harsh action a spokesperson for Asorist action group Takehold, Danielle Kennedy, has called for Asorists from around the country to gather in Port Gray to march on Parliament in non-violent action against what she describes as "unlawful actions and corruption by the government". She has also stated that Lord Wessich's Stone Wall Bill should be re-examined, due to the massive powers it grants the aristocracy that contradicts former law, and has called on the Supreme Court to act. No members of the Supreme Court have chosen to respond.

John Barrow Strikes Again!
New Actor Finally Announced for Historic Role

Atnaian-Asian Lyle Wu will be playing Atnaian super-spy, John Barrow

It's time for Atnaia's favourite gentleman spy to ride again. Scotch will be drunk, women will be wooed and the enemies of freedom pummeled as Sunlight Studios ECI announces that it the new actor who will be taking over the mantle. Young Atnaian-Asian actor Lyle Wu will be the next in line to play the famous RISA agent in his next outing, "John Barrow: Deadeye".

"I'm ecstatic," the actor said. "This is really a dream com true."

The young actor was born to Asian immigrants, and found his start on stage at the age of 12. He was trained at the Atnaian School of Performing Arts in New Stratford. He found national fame following his leading role in Cassandra Clemence's stage drama, "The Death and Life of Galahad" and its subsequent film adaptation. He has won multiple Atnaian Stage Guild Awards, and a Screen Fellowship Award for Best Supporting Actor in "Broken Tables". This is his first move into the action movie industry, but hopes are high for the role.

"I know I have big shoes to fill," Wu said. "But I think that with the team we have on board, Deadeye is going to be really amazing."

When asked what advice he had for the actor who would take over the role, former John Barrow star Anthony Golder said, "Have fun with it. Make it your own. Don't try and imitate what you've seen before. I don't think I've ever had a role that I could have as much fun with as John Barrow, and I don't think I will again."

The filming of John Barrow: Deadeye wrapped several weeks ago, but the role and filming had been kept under wraps. Several actors were reported on set, but the assumption had been that Xavier Turner, star of action-thriller "Cold" was cast in the role due to his presence at the studios. What Turner's role in the production is has yet to be announced. "John Barrow: Deadeye" is set for release later this year.

Anti-war Protests throughout Camtholia

Following the tragic loss of the second fleet, protests have erupted across Camtholia to prevent war with Eurania and New Aapelistan, so far, there has been no government response to the recent events.

"The Government and the Monarch are pushing for war! They'll get us all killed!" was the statement of a spokesperson with a megaphone.

Information is still scarce, many government officials are still inside Parliament debating now, police have been called in to oversee the protest, but for now everything is stable. Many however fear this will break into a riot.

Emir declares currency change

Emir Al-Husseini demands a change of currency. Since Great-Imperialonia invaded the biggest part of the land and made it an autonomous region inside the borders of the Dual Consulate Monarchy. In "the Royal liberated lands of anthoriala" have they got the Royal as their currency.

Because there is much trade between the two of them and with the autonomous region the Emir declared a change from Dinar currency to Anthorialian Royals, which are the same value as Royals but are not in a union and have the painting of Al-Husseini.

Executions and Progress!!

A few weeks ago a group of 10 individuals were arrested under suspicion of false worship without a permit. The group was apprehended during a religious meeting in a local Doman's house. They were taken to a local jail and then later tried for a confirmed case of false worship. Doman law strictly states that any practice of any non-state religion must require a renewable permit to be able to worship in peace. Thousands of immigrants follow this policy and many have expressed further support. However, these 10 claim that a permit for their worship is against their religious beliefs.

After 3 weeks of trial for all ten, they were sentenced to death by Aral (a form of electrocution). But people had concerns because the religion they followed was native to Havenburgh, but the individuals were Doman citizens and have little or no history with the country. But despite concerns, their execution was played out today, and broadcasted on local channels to promote the permits and Domanium. Each person was strung up on the Ankh and executed, just as religious heads were during the purge.

Take this as a message from the Buro of Registration, get a permit today for false worship, and everyone can be happy.

In other news, the first town has been founded in D'uns. The town only has 60 people living there officially, but it has been registered as a town by the government. This will be the first settlement in the new territory.



The area marked as a red circle is the location of the new town, right in a bend in the Candlelight forest and close to fertile growing land. The town has been named as Scarent (Treeland) and has seen a boom in contractors wishing to invest in the forestry industry. Currently only a few actual workers of the local sawmills live in the town. Most workers live in portable shacks in the vacinity. More houses are planned and the construction of a town hall is under way as more and more lumber companies send workers to live and work in the new and beautiful town.

Mass protests against Doman actions
Following the harsh actions against peaceful worshippers of the Havenese Humanist Orthadox faith in the nation of Domanania, thousands came out in multiple cities to protest and demanding actions against the "false oppresive religion." Even businesses got in on the action, denying service to anyone of the Doman faith in Havenburgh. The Havenburgian government responded as well, listening to the people and outlawing the religion. All worshippers have three choices
-cease the worship of the Doman religion
-pay the "Faith tax" to keep worshipping it
-keep worshipping it and get arrested, then be sent to the gallows

Janurary Presidential elections almost up!
As in every January every 5 years, the final month of the presidential elections kick into a new gear. Down to the 4 front runners, each candidate is working hard and traveling the country and speaking to voters, rallying up support for their cause. Voting hours is 6 am Janurary 24th to noon January 25. Results will be in Later that day on the 25th. The candidates are shown below, and remember to vote!

Alexander Graham: Part of the "Central wing coalition", he is a young but seasoned vet from the Assembly. Notorious for never backing down and long harsh debates, he is viewed as almost a Populist or a libertarian. He fights for free markets, more globalisation and interventionalism globalization military wise and smaller government. When asked what his policies are, he simply stated "combining Humanism with Secularism, agrarian life with industry, and isolation with immigration."

Sofia Rodham: a proud and renowned Liberalist, many simply call her a socialist. She vows for " loosening the corporate grip" on the markets, cutting military spending by almost 80%, giving labour unions govermental power, broadly expanding workers rights as well as womens rights. One of her strongest pushing points is the struggle for universal healthcare, in which she calls "the Rodham plan", or "Rodplan".

Ryan Pickering: a ex Preist for the Humanist Orthadox faith, he calls for more of his faith into the government, declaring "the godless government is letting corruption take control, with blood and greed in its hands. we must let the faith back in, and bring us to a new age of love, faith and prosperity." He is considered a moderate on the political scale

Ashley Graham: a strong and proud Libertarian, she is one of the most outspoken of all the candidates ever. Anti big government, anti globalization, anti military, anti faith and pro isolation, she shows no remorse in attacking other candidates, or having a filter. In a recent election, she stated "The state of Havenburgh nowadays is pathetic. We have candidates who think religion can fix everything like they think we are all a bunch of idiots, one who thinks he can have the best of everything and a commie. Well I have news for you people. You let them run us, we are all screwed. We need to get out of the global stage and keep to ourselves, only worry about little trade to get what we need. Religion is part of the damn problem, so are all the immigrants and all the government people. We need to get a swift kick in the ass and learn bigger isnt always better. Just ask fat people. Like do we need hundreds if tanks and jets and bombs? Hell no. Whos going to fight us? The world? We need to make Havenburgh back the way it was when our ancestors were alive. Keeping outsiders out, laughing in any gods face and your either a straight happy Havenburgian or your not in the country."

Fleet Returns Home; I.D. Withdrawal

This morning Congress ordered the Vancouvian fleet to return to Vancouvian port. Previously dispatched east to showcase Vancouvia's stance against nuclear trade by New Aapelistan and Eurania, the prospect of any further altercation now seems less likely.

Congress also ordered several thousand troops stationed in the I.D. to return home from their tour. A sizable force remains in the City and Camp Plymouth, the latter of which was declared sovereign Vancouvian soil by the I.D. government on Wednesday. Vancouvian forces will continue to provide security and policing until the newly installed government has fully transitioned their services into effect. Congress is optimistic that the occupation will continue to be relatively bloodless for the future months.

Referendum for free state of Sadievi

The Sadievi islands, well known in The Western Isles for many wars because of position between the two major powers New-Aapelistan and Great-Imperialonia. The former republic of Sadievi is now split between the People's Republic of North Sadievi (A semi Aapelistanian protectorate) and the Oversea-Region of Imperialonian-Sadievi (An autonomous province of Great-Imperialonia).

Today the Governor of Imperialonian-Sadievi (an appointed head of the state by the Consul) declared a referendum for an independent Sadievi state. The referendum is not completly unexpected since the northern islands of Sadievi gained their independence a few weeks ago. But the outcome in the south could be much different than in the north. Also because of the Sadievi islands are getting more and more wealthy every month.

"People always seek for freedom -explains Sita, a woman living in Irania- but sometimes without thinking things through. That it why I will vote NO in this referendum. We will become free yes, but we won't have all the wealth of our great monarchy."

Other people (mostly on the island Hania) would love to become independent, but none of them wanted to coment.

The referendum is taking place the 27 of January.

Funeral for a Prince

Today, the era of Prince James Lucer II officially comes to an end as he was laid to rest in the Lucer Mausoleum of Christ Church Cathedral in Ambress. Due to civil unrest in many major cities of Atnaia, the ceremony was small and private, with only family and a few close ducal friends present. Even press were asked to remain outside of the actual event, but attendee's remarked that the funeral was "respectful and peaceful, a perfect memorial for Prince James' reign".

Mary Wessich, the late Prince's cousin, was seen for the first time since the Prince's death. "My cousin was a very good man," she said. "I'm happy that with this we can move past his death and remember that about him."

Prince Henry Lucer has called for a mourning period of one month, the shortest traditional length of time before a coronation can take place. During this time, he asks that the people of Atnaia seek to honour the memory of the former Prince's quest for peace by ending the hostilities currently seen across the country.

"We understand that there is a draw to escalate this conflict," he says, "but we must remember the sort of man my grandfather was and what his dreams for this country were: peace, prosperity and equality. If we are to honor those dreams, we must stand together, not apart, and walk forward into a new day."

Prince James Lucer II was a noted pacifist, and is credited with the successful negotiations that ended the military coup of the 1980s, and with the disarmament of nuclear weapons in Atnaia that followed. Prince James' reign was marked by reforms to the military and to education, with successful expansion of public education credited directly to the Prince. He will be dearly missed by his family, his friends and the international community.

Breaking News - Mount Marasthra Eruption!



Hours ago Mount Marasthra erupted, spewing out masses of ash all over Bhikkustan and beyond. There have also been large lava flows which have destroyed large swathes of the steppes. They have destroyed many houses and forced many other people to evacuate. Currently, all Bhikkustanis are recommended to stay indoors and get out their emergency supplies. Power has been taken out all across Bhikkustan and roads are filled with ash. People are recommended to stay indoors at all times.


The ash is projected to spread all across the southwest of the Western Isles, grounding flights and possibly causing damage. The Above map shows the spread of ash.

Achilles Begins to Export

Today Government controlled Achilles arms manufacturing exported its first weapons. Their were two shipments, one full of LSR-.338s bound for Atnaia and the other was a shipment of HAMR-.50 to Ostehaar. This marks a new period of economic growth in Stralend and it is predicted that other nations will purchase Achilles weapons in the future.

Terrorist Retaliation Crushed

Many fights have broken out in the island off of Doubi. Many terrorist groups who had bases on the island have all been crushed. The death toll has increased to 327 and the Doubi government was thinking about giving in but a very determined Doubi special forces group changed the governments mind. They managed to infiltrate the Terrorists Alliance, a group of about 43 terrorist group who have formed together to make one big group. They can put 5067 soldiers in battle. Miraculously the group of four soldiers fought their way into headquarters and set bombs. The explosion killed 23 of the terrorists and wounded an unknown amout. The band were shooting everywhere in the smoke and confusion and managed to shoot 41 of their own troops. This military victory has sealed victory for Doubi and the island is theirs.

The Union responds with aid after volcano erupts in Bhikkustan

The Mount Marasthra volcano in Bhikkustan erupted hours ago, covering the entire country and neighbouring countries in ashes. All power sources are cut off in the country and its citizens are advised to remain in doors. At this time the ash reach is not a threat to the Union or the Island of Senoica. More on this story as it develops.

In other news:

The Ministry of Defense and National Security in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Health, have all agreed to provide food and medical aid to the people of Bhikkustan once approvals have been made by the Bhikkustan government. These governmental agencies have assessed the situation following the eruption of the Mount Marasthra volcano, and believes it a necessary cause to assist the country at this time. The Union medical fleet UCS Medicus stands on guard to make the journey to Bhikkustan with Covonantian medical teams to assist with the local health authorities.

Doubi Sets Up City In The New Island

Doubi have set up a city and have named it Twali. Twali is going to be run by a native Doubi called Xcran Tyran. The small city has a population of 521, 345 of which are soldiers. This town is growing corn, wheat, potatoes and carrots so far but more shipments of seeds are coming. They have sheep, cows and chickens and once again more animals are coming. The city is going well and the island has been secured. The Doubi government is waiting to get further funding to make more developments on the island.
