Christmas night and speech of Melas I

All over the country was the Christmas night celebrated with misses in churches all over the country. Especially in the northern department of New-Cristo was this a huge happening. Second high royal consul Wessel visited Churchville, the department-capital of New-Cristo. He visited the huge Christmas miss of the Platina-Basilica as well as thousands of other people. The miss was also on TV for the whole country.
"It was utterly impressive" said consul Wessel when the miss was finished. He also gave a speech in Latin in New-Cristo.
"We were very happy that the royal joined us tonight at this special miss. This is truly a lightening in this dark times of terror and death, I hope that everyone will soon realise that this is not the world we wanted to accomplish" said Royal-Pope Aardenhout.

At the same time former emperor Melas I have a speech in the capital city Frosto. The speech started exactly an hour ago after all the misses were finished. There were around fifty thousand people coming to the Royal square where he gave it's speech. This is the exact dictation:

Beloved citizens of the dual consulate monarchy of Great-Imperialonia. I will speak to you all as first high royal consul of this beautiful nation, as former emperor and as human of this planet.
Tonight we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the king of kings, faith bringer and messiahs of this world. But we are also gathered to speak the words of peace over this monarchy. But sadly, peace is not what we can celebrate since wars all over over our region and the whole world. Even our nation is sadly enough in war with nations which do not respect humane "laws" or freedom. So peace is not what I will celebrate. I may only speak the promise that we, the consuls, the ministers, the senators and the whole nation of Great-Imperialonia will do whatever it takes to maintain the balance we fought so hard for. And that we can guide love and friendship all over the world. That one day, we really can celebrate the hard-fought time of peace we are all trying to accomplish.
So for all religious, and not religious people in this great nation and our union I would like to say thank you. Thank you all for joining the fight against evil and death, for bringing aid to the laws of peace and the ideals of Jesus Christ.
Now I would like to ask you all in name of the whole government that we are quiet for 2 minutes. To remember the soldiers fighting in far away lands for our society. We are utterly sorry that they are not here to celebrate Christmas with their families. But their sacrifices are appreciated and please bring them home very save, and very soon!

Preperations Begin for Bhumhalese New Year



The stunning image above, a commonplace yet cherished sight for many Bhumhalese, hearkens the nearing of Bhumhalese New Year. The night after the last full moon of the Bhumhalese-Lunar-Calendar year marks the first lighting of Shri Bhumidhyana Temple, which according to Bhumhalese Buddhist tradition, invites the Maharajabhuta's (English: Ghost of the Emperor) lingering essence across the nation to reassemble at Sri Bhumidhyana Temple. During this time of year, religious Bhumhalese citizens, on top of their normal meditational focus on Buddhist dieties, also focus their prayers on the Aghya Emperor (English: The Demon Emperor), and on Bhumaidolmata (English: Mother Goddess of Bhumidol) to guide the safe journey of the Aghya Emperor back to the Capital.

Though often called a New Year's celebration by foreign observers, most Bhumhalese refer to this time of year as, Maharajabhuta Puja, meaning Prayer to the Ghost of the Emperor. It is believed that doing this ritual every year re-concentrates the lingering spirit of the Aghya Emperor, the first Emperor of Bhumidol so called for instilling a peaceful, and moral rein that had a strong influence on Bhumhalese culture and tradition, and for ending the period of the Warring States under the Three Kingdoms of Heaven (a period in Bhumhalese history wherein Bhumidol remained politically divided amongst three kingdoms).

"Doing this ritual every year, is a way for us to be reminded of our traditional culture, and for us to treasure the religion and traditions passed down to us from our ancestors", said the Vajracharaya (Priest) of Shri Bhumidhyana Temple. "Though our nation's distinction is fading away under the heights of skyscrapers, hyper-modernization, and globalization, it is good for us as a nation to reflect on where we come from as a peoples, and to be reminded of the eternal bliss and peace given to us by not only the Buddha, but also our ancestors and their culture".

At 8:00 PM, on January 16th, the Bhumhalese government has sanctioned (as it does every year), for the closing of the main road going between Shri Bhumidhyana Temple and Sivaputhangam Palace, which is currently used as the Capitol building for the national government. At this time, a ritual procession of the Guardian Dieties, and Traditional Buddhist dieties will lead the 80kg Urn of the Aghya Emperor to Sivaputhangam Palace, where his urn will be placed atop the empty Golden Lotus Throne. At the Throne room, cieling window openings in the shape of the Wisdom Buddha Eyes will be unsheathed, allowing the moon to shine through the bindi, and for the Aghya Emperor's Urn to see the stars over his domain.

The week of January 16th, along with the following two weeks is a public holiday in Bhumidol; universities, schools, and other public institutions will remain closed through all or some of this period. Despite being a reflective occasion, in modern times Bhumhalese have started celebrating the New Year with more jubilation, such as holding a traditional super and puja with relatives, and using this time as a means to rejuvenate lost or weak relationships.

Update- Pirates killed, most crewmen saved

Today, President Sebastian's office put out a statement informing Ventlimer that the piracy situation had been resolved by the Atnaian Navy.

In a daring move, Atnaian Naval command, which declined to provide the name of the vessel that responded, said that a squad had boarded the Merchant Ship and forced the pirates off the boat. This lead to an attempted retreat by the pirates that saw many killed. The survivors fled to their own vessel and tried to escape. The Atnaians had hoped the vessel would lead them to the rest of the pirates in the Mesder, but once they dumped the few hostages they had taken, the Atnaians chose to destroy the ship rather than allow it to escape.

President Sebastian's press release also stated that there were casualties on the Atnaian side and that Ventlimer would cover the funeral costs and provide immediate family with 50,000 Ventlims per year for an unstated amount of time.

In the wake of this incident, investigations and probes are being carried out.

The Ventlimian Government has refused to answer any calls regarding the names of the Two dead crewmen.

Coalition of Free Nations Agreement Signed

Following a two week meeting on Illa Isle, representatives from eight nations have signed an agreement joining the nations together into a Coalition. Led by our own Ian Wellworth and Charles Rochester, the Illa Isle Conference was a dramatic success, with several key players, especially in the region's north, signing on.

"This agreement is much more than words on a sheet of paper. It's a commitment to a better future for all those who came together. It's a common-sense foundation for our countries to benefit now and in the future. We hope that this Coalition will serve to cement democracy in our region for decades to come, combating the ruthless totalitarianism we have seen so much as of late."

Focusing on half a dozen areas, the Coalition is seen by some Vancouvians as broad and ineffective. "Encourage this, encourage that," said Kenny Limewurst. "It does a whole lot of nothing but make us all look nice. When Vancouvian's in trouble, who's going to help? The Coalition members don't even have to send a card."

Supporters argue that the Coalition document is the initial building block in a series of possible future agreements that will benefit Vancouvian interests. Whether that will become true is yet to be seen.

Wintery Week Ahead for the Capital

Over the past few weeks, images of the Bhumhalese capital covered in snow have flooded social media, including this picture above showing snow covered skyscrapers several blocks away from Shri Aggni Buddhist Temple, where a local monk took notice of the sight and decided to post the picture on LoL (Lotus Link, Bhumhalese Social Media site).

While citizens across the nation's capital have enjoyed the light snowfall delicately coating the capital ahead of Bhumhalese New Year, the Ministry of Atmospheric and Oceanic Affairs had more to say on the current weather trends. According to the latest forecasts, Brahmada Valley and Rajadhani Valley are expected to be hit with a high intensity snow storm lasting close to three days, occurring between this Thursday and Saturday. It is expected that 30-60 cm of snow will fall in many places, with local areas around the capital expected to receive locally heavier amounts approaching near 100 cm.

Compared to the out-of-season storm that occurred earlier this year however, which dumped widespread amounts exceeding 120 cm, the coming snow storm is expected to be milder, with less intense winds. The National Cabinet has stated that a closure of Marmana Pass, the sole transit route connecting Rajadhani to the rest of the nation, should be unnecessary, but it has however advised travelers to not travel through the pass at night or high intensity times.

Tragic incidents kill 237: AMSAn journalists among death toll

THE AMSA experienced a tragic loss today, during a crisis intervention in the Apeleutian Islands, where heavy floods have destroyed the region. Early this morning, Monsoon Kate struck the southern islands, killing 86. Among the dead is Aurasian Tribune photojournalist Hinearoha Okazuma, 26, who tragically drowned trying to save three children in their rapidly flooding house, and Deputy Prime Minister of the region, Solomon Apa'fa'ahfala. Their bodies were found when helicopters from the ASS Navy Coast managed to make their way to the village. Pictures show that had the Navy arrived later, when the bad weather had passed, the death toll would have been much higher.

In the northern part of the island chain, where the Apeleutian Civil War continues for a fourth month, rocket attacks from Monarchist aircraft have claimed 151 lives at a civilian field hospital. This death toll includes 9 AMSAn soldiers, sent as part of ACAMSA's platoon-level detachment, Corporal Mike Wallis, a military journalist for The Serviceman's Journal, the internal military newspaper, and war correspondent Heather Ngafahu, 28.

Mursaisse bus stops rolls out the e-paper

Transport Pour Mursaisse (Transport for Mursaisse) has completed trails for all its bus stops to be fitted with e-paper displays showing real-time travel information.

Fitted with solar-powered panels, they show how long passengers have to wait for the next buses, as well as route maps and timetables.

50 bus stops were trailed over the past two months and all stops will be fitted and running by 5am tomorrow morning on all 450 bus stops throughout the city.

If successful, the system will be released across the country over the course of 2016, along with versions created for railways stations and platforms.

Designed by Franco-Albion firm LuminousScreens, the technology utilises the latest generation of electronic paper screens.

Buttons at the bottom of the screen allow the user to switch between the content displayed, choosing between real-time arrival information, route maps and important service notifications.

Six Injured in Brechridge Square Brawl

Following nine days of peaceful occupation, the Asorist-led anti-succession protesters in Brechridge Square faced their first violence today. Six have been injured in a brawl following the arrival of pro-monarchy counterprotesters. At 9:00 AM, several dozen Crown loyalists marched on the square, calling for the removal of the protesters who have been unlawfully occupying the spot. Representatives from the Asorist group "Takehold" and other protesters arrived, and while police on the scene attempted to quell growing hostilities, the two sides began a fist-fight that has left several from both sides in hospital and at least one in critical condition.

While it is not yet clear how the fight started, and authorities are declining to provide the names of those involved, it is clear that mounting tensions between the sides of this debate is not settling. Several analysts believe the past week and a half to be the "calm before the storm", and expect that violent encounters like these may increase. Many in the House of Nobles have called for the removal of the protesters from the square, most notably Lord Thomas Wessich, husband of Mary Wessich, a contender for the throne. Lord Wessich has even offered the gratis use of his private security firm, Stone Wall Security Solutions, to break up the protesters. This has been met with consternation from members of the House of Commons and liberals in the House of Nobles, who see Lord Wessich's offer as a move to push his controversial Stone Wall Act, which would begin the privatization of law enforcement and defense forces, while massively expanding the powers of the House of Nobles in those realms. It has even been suggested that, should the act go through, Prime Minister Courtney Lovesmythe may invoke the Right of Inaction for the first time in her role as Prime Minister, forcing a hold of the vote.

Today is a horrible day in Havenburgh. What turned into a simple act of kindness turned into a mad cry if dispair and grief for the nation.
Last night at 9:36 pm, in Ascendance, King Leodin and his wife Annabelle were gun down at a coffee shop while visiting friends for the holidays. Over 20 people were killed in this mindless act of violence, another 6 injured. According to I witnessess there was four assailants, armed with SMG's and bags of ammunition. They were also heard to be yelling "For the Empire!" Giving authorities the mindset that these were pro imperial fanatics. Upon hearing these words, President Graham was seen shedding a tear while operating a press conference. At the press conference he spoke softly, having to wipe a tear occasionally.

"Ladies and Gentleman, sons and daughters of Havenburgh... Forever today shall live in infamy. As we sleep soundly in bed, with the feeling of safety and security, those who wish to do harm upon us have done so. They marched upon our lands and killed those most innocent to our nation, those who we hold dearest... Our great king and queen. Ministry of Economy Announces End of Tight Money Period; Targets 2.5% Growth Rate for Next 5-year Economic Plan
This morning, President Typamee of the Brain Trust, the premier financial committee overseeing the actions of the Ministry of Economy has announced the end of Bhumidol's tight money period. The currently ending tight money period was enacted back in November to combat the re-emergence of an investment bubble in the wake of stabilization of Doppler's restless territory of Andersite.

President Typamee has warned financial firms against investing too heavily in markets under the umbrella of the Ansuian Empire, citing uncertain political stability, and rising tensions. Following leads given by local citizens and field investigation conducted by local police forces about a possible heroin smuggling ring by Maraba, one of the nations controversial syndicate organizations, the Ministry of Welfare has enacted an 18 hour period of martial law over the port city of Amravarti, imposing strict border controls around the city.

Bh-108 Paramilitary forces have been deployed to Amravarti to oversee the re-securement of Amravarti Anganupa from immoral foreign substances. Government response to Eurania and aid for Havenburgh

After the move of the Euranian government to close it's borders for several nations the Socialists in the Imperialonian Senate ask Eurania to undo this move.
"It is highly asocial to block your borders for other countries, and if you do. At least let the citizens leave the country!" Says Arnold Bluemountain, a senator for the Socialits. Other reactions of anger came as well.
"God did not make this world for hate and anger, why can't we all love eachother? Or at least have some respect for your fellow world citizen." Says Sybrandt Crosshead, leader of the confessionals.
The reaction of the conservative senators was mostly: good that they close their borders for immigrants but don't make such a dictatorial move in blocking citizens to leave a country. That is not from this time.

Former Emperor Melas, first consul came today to the senate to speak to the senators about the happenings in Havenburgh. We could not film since meetings in the senate are strictly prohibited for press, but Grand-Duke Wessel, second consul gave a speech for the people of Great-Imperialonia. He said:" It's been a sad day in whole Imperialonia, and actually the whole Western Isles I hope. The king and queen of Havenburgh have been assassinated and innoncent people have been killed. We do not want to go to deep into the words: 'for the empire' since it hasn't been clear what that exactly means. But the fact is this was a act of terror of the highest level and who ever did this is going to pay for this! Havenburgh can count on every aid they need to capture these terrorists!"

Bradley Engines Announces Replacement for Savant

Following the cancellation of the famous Savant-model, Bradley Engines has announced their newest model of luxury car, to begin production in 2016. The Prodigy will be Bradley Engines first fully electric car. The manufacturer has announced that they will be approaching a partnership with the Atnaian government to install charging stations across the country to enable this car to become the "Atnaian car of the modern age".

This will not be the company's first foray into eco-friendly cars. The Balance-model hybrid began production in 2012. Bradley Engines spokesperson Michael Dante has stated that the company is further investigating other alternative fuel options, and looks forward to being on the forefront of environmentally friendly vehicles worldwide.

Last weeks the acts of terror in Havenburgh and the assassination of their king and queen had been discussed. Since Havenburgh is officially without head of state there were long meetings and negotiations with Great-Imperialonia. And today the two consuls came with interesting big news: The Royal Confederacy of Havenburgh accepts consuls Melas I and Wessel as head of the Havenese state.

Havenburgh is a strong nation is the west of The Western Isles. It has a strong economic position and is +- just as big as Great-Imperialonia. Since their head of the state was assassinated the Havenese saw no need in starting a new dynasty and declared that they officaly recognise consuls Melas and Wessel as head of their state. Since Great-Imperialonia is the biggest ally of Havenburgh both nations have enough trust to declare a shared head of state.

Will this influence Havenese politics? No, the consuls will have no political influence in Havenburgh like they have in Great-Imperialonia. They are only there to bring emotional aid and help with trading missions. So unlike their position in Great-Imperialonia they have no political influence in Havenburgh which makes the two nations officaly a part of a new commonwealth: The Royal Imperialonian Commonwelath.

The Imperialonian Senate recognises this move. With only the conservatives against (72-28) the amendement past with a 2/3 majority. The Royal Imperialonian Commonwealth will officaly be formed with the beginning of 2016.

Operation Golden Spear

In the other part of the country every one followed exciting the attack of Imperialonia-Youkraneana on the Sultanate of Anthoriala. Great General Krateon Unifo of the United Imperialonian Army released operation Golden Spear. Operation Golden Spear is the straight attack on the main island of Anthoriala. The armies left Yourkraneana with a fleet and landed this afternoon on the Anthorialian fleet. The Anthorialans fought back but there whole fleet was defeated in about 3 hours. The remaining ships are followed by a few plains and will be destroyed.

The plan is to defeat Anthoriala before New Year. They will probably succeed since the Anthorialian soldiers are not trained well enough. Operation Golden Spear will start when the Imperialonian troops land on the shore tommorow morning, they will push straight to the Anthorialan capital city and defeat it. If the operations succeeds there will be the lessest harm for Anthorialians and will the island of Anthoriala finally be free from the oppressive dictator which rules it know.

HAVENBURGH GEARS UP FOR THE NEW YEAR


2016 is days away yet Havenburgh is already setting up for the nations greatest year in its existance. Following a tragic turn of events with the death of the royal family, the nations government showed that it does not break or even bend against opposition. Setting up a new government, and even allowing the Consuls from its closest allies, Great-Imperialonia to take over the ex posistion as king. Now Havenburgh has been turned into a new, United Commonwealth with the GI consuls in a ceremonial posistion. This is a monumental change in the government, as the first non born in Havenburgh official is in office. With the new government the presidents posistion merged with the powers of the king, to make the new posistion of Chancellor, with the ex mayor of Acsendance Anthony Chambers becoming the new Chancellor
With this new government came a string of new trade and military deals, with nations like Ostehaar, Miklania, Polar Svalbard, Great-Imperialonia, Segentova, and Bhumidol. Although on the issues with the empire and Eurania, the new chancellor simply said "let time take its course. There is a new year ahead of us, lets focus on the parades and celebrations, not the conflicts. But however, I will say the actions will not go unanswered."

Eurania to open new embassy with Camtholia

Eurania and one of its neighbors, Camtholia, will open a new embassy in the outskirts of Warsawyev, the old part of Warsawyev. This has been requested by Camtholia, but Eurania has not also asked for an embassy in Camtholia too. Sultan surrenders, Anthoriala signs terms of conditional capitulation

Today, when the forces of Great-Imperialonia arrived by the capital city and surrounded it. The Sultan had no choice to surrender. This was his speech before he opened the gates for the Imperialonian soldiers:

People of Anthoriala, I want to say a few words to you all before we let the Imperialonians enter our capital city. I am very proud of our soldiers who fought so bravely for the land. And for all the trust you gave us. That won't be for nothing. I promise you all that I will do my utmost best to keep a part of our souvereignity! Thank you! And never forget, everything I do is for the realm! For our faith!

After that Krateon Unido (The leader of the Imperialonian forces) came over to the capital city to sign the terms of a conditional surrender. Altough there is not sure what's in the treaty. It's obvious that Anthoriala will lose large amounts of land to the Dual Consulate Monarchy and that the Sultan needs toshare his power with a parliament again.

The Sultanate of Anthoriala surrenders!

Eight days ago the Dual Consulate Monarchy of Great-Imperialonia signed war with the Sultanate of Anthoriala, because of violation of international laws and semi-genocides. This afternoon, 14:38 to be exactly. Surrendered the Sultanate and the Sultan signed terms of conditional surrender.

Before we discuss the surrender. We take a look back to the war. We made a summary daywise:

Day 1: (23 December) Great-Imperialonia signs war with Anthoriala because of banning the British language and all faiths except for salafism.

Day 2: (24 December) Bhikkustan follows Great-Imperialonia and signs war with Anthoriala because of the same reasons.

Day 3: (25 December) The war treaty passes the High Assembly in the Union of Imperialonia-Youkraneana. Youkraneana is also in war with Anthoriala.

Day 4: (26 December) Start of the troop gathering in Great-Imperialonia. An amount of 200.000 troops is gathered in the harbour city of Icle.

Day 5: (27 December) Imperialonian fleet and divisons move to the utmost northwestern point of Youkraneana.

Day 6: (28 December) Imperialonian fleet sails to Anthoriala and conquer the harbour cities and beaches.

Day 7: (29 December) Start of Operation Golden Spear to push the army straight towards the capital city Hasfan. Almosy the whole coastern area is now in Imperialonian hands.

Day 8: (30 December) The Liberals in Great-Imperialonia demand air support to fasten the war. It passes in the Senate (68-32) and Air forces bomb several cities in Anthoriala which extremly fastens the operation.

Day 9: (31 December) The United Imperialonian Army has some trouble by defeating radical islamic tribes in South-Anthoriala but with the help of another division the defeat them and push forward to Hasfan.

Day 10: (1 January) The capital city of Anthoriala (Hasfan) is completly surrounded by Imperialonian troops, which set up an ultimatum. If they don't surrender before 6 o'clock they will push forward into the capital city. The Sultan signs the capitulation.

Great General Krateon Unifo and the Sultan of Anthoriala signed conditional surrender. This was in the treaty they both signed:

-The Sultanate of Anthoriala keeps it souvereignity over a ⅓ of their land. If they:

1. Change their government form drastically. The Sultanate of Anthoriala changes into the Emirate of Anthoriala.

2. The Emir needs to share it's power with two organs. The National Assembly, 200 seats (full of represenatives of the Anthorialian people and the Protector Assembly, 50 seats (full of Imperialonian represenatives, they have no executive power but may only suggest)

3. All the religions must become alloud. But the religion of State is Islam.

4. All the languages must become alloud. Although the offical language is Arabic.

5. The Sultan (Emir) will not offer any support to the rebels still fighting against Imperialonian troops.

The current situation in Anthoriala is stable. There are some rebellions still fighting against the Imperialonian army but they will be defeated very soon. Here is a map of Anthoriala at the moment:

With this war Great-Imperialonia widened it's land again. The remaining part of Anthoriala will be a completly equal part of the Dual Consulate Monarchy under the crown. They will have equal votes in national elections. The community will be named: The Royal Liberated Lands of Anthoriala.
