Miner Uncovers Source of Large Martenyikite Stones
A small-scale Martenyikan miner has found several large stones of Martenyikite recently, garnering price tags in the millions of dollars (USD). Just one of the stones weighs roughly 8 kilograms and sold for 3 million USD yesterday. Martenyikite is an uncommon mineral used in the production of jewelry and other precious items. The rarity of the mineral combined with the demand for luxury items in the international market would suggest that mine owner Matthias Kamba is set for a comfortable retirement.
