Small Town School Forms Gardening and Composting Supply Company Following Experiments

Students from Julienne Makeba school in the small town of Abanda, Martenyika have become part of a revolution for modern and sustainable gardening. The students report that they initiated experiments and projects which challenge traditional agricultural and gardening methods with a new path. These students first experimented with composting citrus peels, the subject of disdain among home gardeners across the world. According to the Julienne Makeba student-gardeners, citrus peels are not only useful in domestic composting when cut into smaller pieces, but animals such as raccoons are less likely to pillage compost piles where they may be common if citrus peels are present. In addition to this, the student gardeners began to cultivate worms in a "worm farm," specifically to facilitate efficient compost and thus further help agriculture. The school agreed to establish a local and even international business selling local worms for composting. "I am so proud," said gardening student Angélique Obima, "we have something to live for and something to offer people all over"...READ MORE >>>

The Royal Cryer

Increased research into military technology

For the past few months the Havallish Royal Army research and development department has been working extensively on stealth technology and training simulations, with the help of an advanced model haptic suit a virtual reality training simulation was tested with mixed results, although realistic the suit failed to simulate environmental temperatures needed for survival training.
There were also plans for a prototype full face helmet that muffled voices and had direct clear communications between eachother but the plans were scrapped in favor of uniforms that heat or cool depending on environments though the plans for these new uniforms can only be tested once the haptic project has reached a certain point.

The B1 'Buffalo' bomber has been in service since 1968

The Seneican Air Force's 'Buffalo' Bomber has been given the green light to remain in service until 2050. Air Force chiefs have confirmed that the aircraft will continue its military service after agreeing to a continuance service package. The aircraft; a delta wing high-altitude strategic bomber has been the main bomber force of Seneica since 1968 and has seen numerous combat operations and missions during its lifetime. The aircraft has become a cult icon in Seneica for its unique design and long operational life which will continue throughout half of the 21st century. The continuance service package was agreed with the Air Force and Kanuna Systems; the aerospace and defense systems company also situated in Seneica. Costs are expected to exceed several hundred million dollars as the aircraft will undergo upgrades to its airframe, electronics, and its armaments over the next few years.

The Buffalo first took flight in 1966 as a Seneican home project to develop a strategic bomber capably of delivering heavy payloads over huge distances. The Buffalo was introduced to the Seneican Air Force in March 1968 and became the main deterrent of Seneica. Today, the Air Force maintains 10 Buffalo bombers in its arsenal, with a Maximum speed of 561 kn (646 mph, 1,039 km/h) at altitude, a range of 2,265 nmi (2,607 mi, 4,195 km) and a service ceiling: 55,000 ft (17,000 m), the aircraft is capable of carrying up to 30 1000lb conventional bombs, missiles, mines and counter measures in varying configurations depending on the mission.

Air Force Spokesman Kenneth Huaine told the press that it was fantastic to see a national icon remain in service and that the upgrades and refitting would ensure that the aircraft was able to meet the demands and needs of 21st-century warfare.

"All the news a Drummer needs."

Boyce reaches across the aisle with Simpson as new League ambassador
Image
Newly appointed Ambassador to the League, Luis Simpson.

BRIDGETOWN - With the sudden need for a new Ambassador to the League of the Western Isles, President Boyce has made a surprising choice in reaching across the aisle to select former Republican Congressman Luis Simpson. Simpson met with the President early Monday morning in the Ellis House.

Simpson's political record includes, most notably, a 2014-2016 stint as the Representative of Saint Thomas District 28, in downtown Auvo, as well as an earlier post as an Under Secretary of State from 2010-2012 during the Washington administration. As a congressman, Simpson was instrumental in the 2016 formation of the Democrat Caucus of fellow moderate Republicans, a Caucus that lives on even after his defeat in his reelection bid later that year. The Democrat Caucus now boasts nearly half of the Republican Party's membership in Congress, with the rest of the members belonging to the National Caucus.

The President has made his respect for Mr Simpson known over the years. Since Boyce's election, Simpson has sought to play a role in forming a bridge between Republican-Democrats and Boyce's Liberals despite being removed from public office, finding common ground in a progressive and diplomatic approach to foreign affairs - one contrary to that of Boyce's predecessor and Simpson's former boss, Mr Washington.

In the statement released from the Ellis House regarding the appointment, President Boyce stated that Simpson "has displayed a fantastic diplomatic savvy that transcends our many differences," and stated that he is "looking forward to continuing to find common ground with Republicans such as Mr Simpson in the hope for an increased presence in the world."

Major diplomatic appointments of this nature are not unprecedented, though haven't been seen in over a decade; President Landon Smith appointed a nonpartisan Secretary of State who was a former Republican, and President Rosarda appointed several Republicans to high-level ambassadorships near the end of his second term. No such appointments were seen during the Washington administration, though Washington did appoint several moderate Republicans - including Simpson - to such offices before the caucus schism came into form in the later years of his tenure.

Historically, the League Ambassador has acted largely as not only the nation's diplomat to The League of the Western Isles, but also - alongside the Secretary of State - as a major envoy in one-on-one dialogue with League members.

While Simpson's Republican admirers have largely seen this appointment as a win - Democrats, unlike National Caucus members, largely support cross-aisle communication - there has been much backlash from the Nationals of the Republican Party, declaring Simpson a "sellout" and pouncing on the opportunity to question the faithfulness of Democrat-Republicans to Boyce's opposition. Some Republican pundits argue that this move weakens Republican political power in Congress, where the Republicans should otherwise dominate policy with their substantial majority - the largest such majority for either party in decades.

Bomb Threat at the National Assembly

The National Assembly had an emergency evacuation after the discovery of black duffel bags surrounding the building hidden inside shrubbery surrounding the assembly. Fortunately the bombs inside were disarmed before detonation and no lives were taken. Police are still investigating the incident but believe the threat is associated with terroristic anti-corruption groups after the National Assembly’s refusal to give additional seats to districts with higher populations. The president has yet to address the incident as civil unrest grows throughout the districts.

Five Serpens Land Armed Forces members are missing after a helicopter serving with a Serpens Land naval task force in the Eterna Sea crashed in international waters on Monday, Prime Minister Karter Preston confirms today.

The Bobcat MH2 helicopter was stationed on the Town-Class frigate HSLMS Richmond, and served with 822 Naval Air Squadron based out of Naval Air Station Hastings. The Bobcat helicopter was part of a larger Serpens Land naval task force working to increase Serpens Land military presence around the Western Isles.

According to Serpens Land military officials, the helicopter lost contact with the crew of HSLMS Richmond Monday evening while on a routine flight. So far, no signs of the downed aircraft have been spotted.

Chief of the Defence Staff Admiral Brendan Allen said he is still hopeful that the downed crew can be found. "Each Bobcat helicopter is fitted with an emergency life raft in case of an emergency landing on the water" he says. "During an emergency landing, the crew would be able to evacuate the helicopter and seek shelter in the life raft."

Throughout the day on Tuesday, multiple Serpens Land warships scanned the area but could not find anything. Still, the search continues throughout the night.

Heavy Rains in the Central Valley Region Cause Landslides, Flooding

Mark Waters, CBN News
July 8th, 2020

LANSI CITY, LS, SANTILAND- Unprecedented rainfall in Santiland's Central Valley, which includes parts of the heavily populated states of Lansi and Letroro, has led to widespread flooding and landslides affecting the millions in the region.

The heavy rainfall has already triggered an overflow of the New Bern River which flows through the Lansi City-Santa Fe Joint Metropolitan Region, the nation's most populated urban area. The New Bern River's has already lead to the flooding of much of the two cities' riverfront areas including Lansi-Santa Fe Intercontinental Airport which has just been closed by the National Aviation Administration due to flooded runways and taxiways. All flights will remain grounded until tomorrow at 12:30 pm.

Both the states of Lansi and Letroro have declared a state of emergency and deployed disaster relief task forces to the area but have asked the federal government to step in and aid the beleaguered states. An ordered to evacuate was issued yesterday by Lansi Governor Mark Walker and this morning by Letroro Governor Margarita Zavala for areas along the New Bern River floodplain and near areas with known unstable lands.

So far no fatalities have been reported by authorities and the current cost of the damage is unknown.

Eastern Infrastructure Bill Passes With Numerous Concessions
Image
Rural bridges are often small, old, and inadequate for vehicles.

This morning the Martenyikan parliament took a final vote on the "Rural Eastern Connectivity Bill," which passed. The bill started out as the "Rural Eastern Roads Bill," and was the subject of debate since its introduction in late 2019. Although the spending bill was originally and exclusively meant to upgrade key rural roadways in eastern Martenyika, the final bill now also includes concessions for renovating bridges, airstrip infrastructure, fire prevention, military and Gendarmerie posts, buses, and waterway infrastructure in the region.

Parliamentary Chief of the Republic Amelie Lafrenz ultimately supported the proposal in its final form, issuing a speech in its defense prior to the vote. "There are many issues to address in the rural east, and this bill can address many of them," she said in her speech. Most notably, the Parliamentary Chief explained how greater attention to improving airfield infrastructure, oversight, and firefighting capacity would prevent catastrophes like the plane crash and subsequent firestorm that devastated an area near Royal Savannahs International Park last month. Proponents of the bill expansions are optimistic that targeting a wider range of infrastructural issues in the region will be most beneficial, rather than only addressing one specific area.

However the Rural Eastern Connectivity Bill has also been the subject of skepticism. Some members of parliament who either voted against it or abstained from voting cited budgetary concerns as the reason for their opposition. The bill's budget was expanded as the bill itself grew, but critics assert that the budget expansion was marginal, and inadequate to cover new expenses. Proposals to discuss an even greater expansion of the budget were squashed after months of debate. Ade Naude from the Eastern Citizens Party gained attention when he characterized bill supporters as "well-meaning yet financially inept bleeding hearts." Naude clarified that a less expansive bill which balanced both scope and budget would do more for the people of eastern Martenyika.

Jeramiah Okhmhaka To Die By Electric Chair 'Sizzling Sue'

Inmate Jeramiah Okhmhaka is scheduled to be executed tonight, the first inmate to die in Seneica in over a decade. Okhmhaka 51, from Sinta Maza County, was convicted for a triple murder in January of 2008 where he was found guilty of the murder of both his parents and younger brother, believed to be part of a life insurance payout scam. Okhmhaka was arrested shortly after the murder and trialled at the Minninnewah County Court by Judge Kim Southwick. He has served his years on Death Row at the Tasunke County Penitentiary for the last ten years.

Okhmhaka pursued several avenues of court appeal to rescind his execution or commute to a life sentence, but all attempts were rejected by the courts and he is now scheduled to die by the infamous 'Sizzling Sue' electric chair, located at the Death House, Wynnick Federal Correctional Center. Okhmhaka was moved to the Death House yesterday afternoon under a specialized inmate escort. Okhmhaka will serve his last few hours alive in the Death House, receive a final meal, and one final phone call before being lead to the electric chair around 23:30pm where he will die around midnight. A local religious leader will be available to Okhmhaka during his final hours, providing spiritual comfort and assisting in any final affairs.

Okhmhaka will be the first inmate to be executed in over ten years, the last inmate to die was Declan Kiowe in 2009; also executed by electric chair at the same facility as Okhmhaka. All executions are undertaken at the Wynnick Correctional Center. Seneica has maintained the death penalty since 1922 and has executed 65 inmates during that time. Firing squad, Hanging and Beheading have all been used as methods of execution, with the Electric Chair and Hanging now the preferred methods since 1962.

It is not known if Okhmhaka will have any witnesses to his execution, having no known family or close relatives. State news will be given access to the execution alongside prison officials and an official representative from the Chief Justice Office will also be attendance. No cameras or audio equipment will be permitted within the execution room during the event. Prison warden Giles Raines did give a statement this morning confirming the scheduled execution to media outlets outside the Wynnick Facility:

" I can confirm that inmate 0147382 Jeremiah Okhmhaka is to be executed by electrocution this evening at the Wynnick Federal Correctional Center. Okhmhaka, convicted of a triple murder, has served ten years on Death Row and has been given his date of death by the National Court. Inmate Okhmhaka will be executed around midnight by a team of specialised prison members, he has access to a religious leader, will be given one final phone call and given a last meal of his choice. Seneica has not executed an inmate for over a decade but maintains capital punishment as a strong deterrent for serious crimes in this nation ".

There are currently 12 other inmates awaiting executed dates within Seneica.

Young Tech Entrepreneur Announces Ambitious Plans for Martenyika's Technological Future

Tech start-up entrepreneur Remy Kashoba released written and video announcements today outlining his vision for technology in Martenyika. One of Kashoba's initial aims is to bring about the expansion--or reintroduction--of drone technology in Martenyika, and he confirmed the opening of a drone assembly and repair workshop. He also spoke about general goals to improve the public's access to both computers and the internet, facilitate technical support job growth, and promote tracks for education in technological subjects.

The entrepreneur, who formed his tech start-up in Martenyika after education and internship in Corindia, remains confident that his firm will be able to tackle all that was laid out in his announcement as they grow. Remy Kashoba's firm has already seen rapid growth, even though it is a relatively new company.

At the moment the company intends to focus its efforts on drones, including the assembly and repair of drones imported from abroad in a new workshop. Drones have been introduced in Martenyika in the past, but have also been slow to catch on due to costs and a lack of skilled labor to maintain them. Kashoba hopes to change this as part of his overarching vision of improving Martenyikans' access to modern technology.

Kashoba believes that drones could become an important everyday tool for resource industries, construction, and security. "Farmers can see the state of things in their fields, engineers can quickly and efficiently monitor construction progress throughout an entire site, drones can even be useful for high level security," Kashoba explained. He also spoke about the practical applications of 3D image processing technology for drone footage, which has been successfully tested in other countries. Such technology has been capable of processing drone footage of bulk material stockpiles like gravel and accurately indicating the stockpile's volume. Kashoba believes that this development would promote industrial efficiency.

PCP Formalizes Alliance with Federalist League, Pledge Commonwealth Act in Electoral Platform

GREENPORT, CR, Santiland- Santiland's center-left party, the Progressive Constitutionalist Party has just formalized an alliance with the big tent Federalist League. The Federalist League was founded in 1982 to push for a federation composed of Spanish-speaking Letroro and English-Speaking Applehead along the boundaries of the old Kingdom of Letroro and the Kingdom of Applehead which united in 1621 after the Unification Wars. The Federalist League says that a Commonwealth of Santiland would be the best way to celebrate the cultural diversity of Santiland and confront the tragic history of English Santiland and Spanish Santiland.

The Progressive Constitutionalist Party officially added the 'Commonwealth Bill' Federalists proposed to their official platform shortly after the announcement. The Commonwealth Bill is constituted by a series of constitutional amendments that will establish the structure of a federation state.

The political alliance of the PCP and the Federalist League will be facing off against the conservative National Action Party which presently controls the Chamber of Representatives and the Office of the Chancellor in the 2021 General Election next year.

Equilar's Choice 2020 - PM Faucheux-Mercier Announces Leadership Resignation If Alliance Loses

The prime minister of Equilar and former premier of the New Bordeaux province, Laurent Faucheux-Mercier, recently shook up the race in the country by announcing that if the Alliance Party of Equilar, the centre-right party of which he leads, does not acquire a majority or plurality of seats of the National Assembly, he will resign as the leader of the party.

We reached out to him asking for why he made such a decision. "This election will be an indicator of the direction of our party. If we win, what we're doing works. If we lose, then I think that it's about time that our party reflects on how it can improve its image. It's been a true honour being the president of this great country, however, I think that if Equilar rejects the Alliance message, I think we'll need a massive makeover."

Equilar will hold a mail-in election on Saturday, 18 July 2020.

Northland MEA Charged With Illegal Polar Bear Poaching

Joana Wilkinson | SLBC News
July 17th, 2020

Image

Northland Member of the Executive Assembly (MEA) Joe Clarkson was arrested by Richmond Police on Thursday on charges of Illegal polar bear poaching.

After a search of his estate in Richmond, police found multiple bear traps and various other bear hunting instruments. This arrest marks the end of a two year investigation on the disappearance of several polar bears from Northland.

Polar bears are protected under Serpens Land national law, which prevents them from being over hunted. Currently the law states that each hunter is only allowed to kill one polar bear per season, which lasts from early September to late November.

Polar bears are commonly hunted for their exotic furs which can fetch a high price on the international market. Police say that Joe Clarkson had been involved in the trafficking and poaching of hundreds of polar bears in the last ten years.

Despite various efforts from local and national police, experts say that polar bear poaching is on the rise in Serpens Land. Police are issuing a reminder that if you believe someone is involved in the poaching of polar bears, that you call 000 immediately.

San Montagna recognises Chathese Right to self-determination.

Following debate in parliament, San Montagna moved forward with a motion offering full diplomatic support for the Chathese rebels of Athara Magarat and its right to self-determination. The motion passed almost unanimously, with only two members of parliament, both members of the Pensa di Lyeka party, abstaining from the vote. The motion followed a long period of debate sparked by the emergence of Chathese Rebels and the response by the government of Athara Magarat.

When questioned by the Press, the Prime Minister stated that "the people of Chatha must be granted the right of Self-determination, and as long as the government of Athara Magarat chooses to ignore them and falsely label them as members of SHOCK, we will support the Chathese rebels in their efforts to be heard by their government and the outside world." Cavallo further stated San Montagna would not oppose the reunification of Chatha if the majority of the population of Chatha would support it. When questioned about the effects of the Motion on the closed border with Athara Magarat and specifically Eastern and Western Chatha, the Prime Minister stated that the border would remain closed to what they deem non-essential. This sparked questions about what is deemed essential, to which Cavallo responded that "Along with what we would expect from the definition, Travel regarding matters concerning Family and Clans are allowed". Cavallo did not respond to questions regarding the allegations that San Montagna had been allowing Chathese rebels in and out of the country.

The Motion was met with praise in the San Montagnan province of Chatha, where Chathese reunification is immensely popular among the population. Local activist groups have referred to it as a small victory for the Chathese people, while the Chathese Party head, Samir Suhang, called it "hopefully the beginning of more". The support for unification reportedly led some Chathese to take up arms, numerous sourcesr report sightings of San Montagnan Chathese insurgents in the clashes in Athara Magarat. Recent opinion polls show that the support for Chathese reunification among the people of Chatha is 90%.

Millions in Taxes Recovered From Evasion Crackdown

Late this evening, Gendarmes prosecuted a number of tax evasion cases throughout the Republic of Martenyika, leading to millions being recovered for governmental redistribution. The Gendarmerie and National Court officials estimate cash seizures of about $10 million. Additionally, government revenue from taxes is expected to rise as a result of the crackdown. Seneican leader Ahusaka visits Hallowell in capital

ELLSBURGH (APA)- High Chief Sebastian Ahusaka of Seneica visited Ellsburgh today, where he met with President Alasdair Hallowell at Carldon Hall in the first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders.

Ahusaka's plane landed at Ellsburgh International Airport at noon. Traffic in the center of the capital was halted for much of the day, as Special Security personnel prepared for the arrival of the High Chief and his Seneican entourage. Ahusaka was transported by limousine to Carldon Hall, where he met President Hallowell on the steps outside.

The two leaders, along with Deputy President Nora Soodalter and top Seneican and Almorean diplomats, had lunch before reviewing the troops of the Republican Guard. After about three hours of meetings, Ahusaka left Carldon Hall and returned to a hotel. He met Hallowell again for dinner before flying out of Ellsburgh, according to diplomatic sources.

Today's meeting was the first visit by Ahusaka, a former actor, to Almorea. Seneica and Almorea have enjoyed a recent thaw in relations, and the process has been accelerated by the development of economic and cultural ties. The Seneican people share close genetic ties with Native Almorean populations, whose numbers rose during the 20th century after centuries of persecution and decline.

Trade Secretary Landon Brosnahan told the APA that the Hallowell administration considers a Seneican trade deal "a top priority" in the second half of 2020. With legislative elections at the end of the year, the administration is looking for showpiece achievements to present to the voting public.

President Hallowell took to Twitter to call Ahusaka's visit "a great success". "I like Sebastian, he's a great guy," he told reporters outside of Carldon Hall after the visit. "We want Seneica in the alliance, in the Raedlon alliance. It's a great thing, a very powerful grouping, I guess you could say a bloc," Hallowell said, apparently alluding to the Raedlon Organization of States, which currently includes Almorea, Nhoor, and Dragao do Mar.

"It's a great bloc, but it takes four to tango, as they say," he continued. A spokesman for Carldon Hall said tonight that President Hallowell plans to visit Seneica later this year.

Oil truck spills into idyllic Talavora river

VALEMAVER (APA)- The idyllic Gorham River in the central hinterlands of Talavora was flooded today by oil after a truck collided with a sedan near the riverbank.

The accident occurred early this morning, on Route T-76 on the outskirts of Valemaver. The oil truck went off the road and tipped over, rupturing the storage tank and sending spurts of oil flowing down into the river. Although a fire crew arrived on the scene, it was unable to stop hundreds of gallons of fuel from polluting the water.

The spillage spread downstream, towards the Axle River. Talavora governor Dennis Mannerson, of the liberal AMP, issued a statement bemoaning the "terrible environmental tragedy" and promising a swift clean-up.

As of this evening, crews were already working to clean the water, rescuing injured wildlife and recovering oil-clogged carcasses and debris. Local authorities in Reid County shut off the water supply to houses in the vicinity of the Gorham River, out of concern that oil may have leaked into the area's rusted and worn-out pipes.

Reid County provost Margaret Hafner told the APA that the locals are "tough" and will recover from the spillage, but that the environmental costs are hard to calculate.

The Gorham River is home to several rare species of water fowl, as well as the Almorean "jewel fish", a creature prized in past times for its brilliant, shimmering red color. In 2011, the river was designated a national scenic area. During the summer, it sees a high traffic in pleasure boats and canoes.

The company which operated the oil truck, National Refineries, issued a statement tonight apologizing for the incident and promising to pay "substantial" compensation.

The Royal Cryer

Pact of Kings Military Cooperation

The Kings armed forces meet a new standard of technology to make their munitions compatible with the other POK member nations militaries, with this the armed forces fully retired some old equipment.
The recent proposition was passed in a majority vote this caused Havalland to pass out conversion kits to soldiers as the MAR-20 assault rifle will now be chambering 6.5x48mm the new standard for POK nations, with this the kings armed forces has retired the MAR-19 fully which was already being fazed out the HRSR was also retired recently being replaced with the new HRSR-65 dress rifle a design by Adam Connors grandson of Luke Connors creator of the LC-1895 and founder of the company of the same name, Connors has been a company loyal to the crown and designed many arms for the military one of which was the p-25 which was also replaced with the Connors DP-20.
These new standards also extend to gas mask filters adopting the 20mm standard filters, further development on this cooperation effort is unknown but the people of Havalland and the other monarchs of the isles can rest easy as we stand hand in hand for our future and preservation of our very way of life we stand against all evil external or internal that’s the promise of the Pact of Kings, the goddess and Christ is with us.

Distillery Releases 64 Year Old Rum Honoring Martenyika's Last Queen

Over the weekend the Royal Green Coast Distillery (Distillerie Royale de la Côte Verte) headquartered in Port Bonaré, Côte Verte released a 64 year old rum, the oldest spirit currently believed to have been crafted in Martenyika. It is assumed that the last Queen of Martenyika, Queen Lucrece, ordered the batch upon taking the throne on this day in 1956. Ordering a new batch whilst taking the throne of Martenyika was a common action prior to the Republic. According to one of the company's executives, the rum was released when it was not only due to historical reasons, but also because of numerical symbology. "The number 64 represents the exploration of new ideas and ways or doing things," said Master Distiller Axel Koagne, "which is what Queen Lucrece represented then...READ MORE >>>

Seneica wary of 'Potential Threat' to Radelon region.

The Seneican High Council is growing concerned of the recently announced 'Pact of Kings', a coalition of monarchies which includes military treaties. The minister of State Amanda Wichahpi announced that a series of top priority meetings have taken place within the Seneican High Council regarding this pact over the last two weeks. Concern from Seneica is stated around the risk of destabilisation within the Radelon region with Nhoor and Drago du Mar announcing associations within the pact. Minister Wichahpi also explained that Seneica sees such a pact as 'outdated in the modern world' and is nothing shy of suspicious in its sudden creation.

Seneica, a member of the C6 Coalition alongside Wellsia (another pact member) is currently 're-evaluating' it's position, both in the C6 and its relations with fellow Radelon nations Nhoor and Drago Du Mar in light of recent events. Military and defence strategies are also being considered should Seneica deem this appropriate, it is however continuing to monitor the development of the pact and will review it's the situation as events unfold.

Minister Wichahpi went on to urge fellow nations to be wary of a 'Medieval and outdated' treaty'. "Total monarchies in the modern world are a dying concept. The 21st century is not a place for such alliances or treaties with old fashioned and outdated foundations. Such a pact, with the military premise, can only bring destabilisation and mistrust between nations and regions. The Pact of Kings has no place in the modern world and we as a nation are suspicious of its intentions and sudden development under the nose of democratic powers. Seneica will continue to monitor the Pact's development and will adjust it's stance with associated nations if deemed appropriate".

Seneica is also attempting communication with both Nhoor and Drago du Mar to ascertain their intentions and dissuade them from putting the Radelon region at potential risk.

Several pounds of Methamphetamine found in truck bed

Seneican State Police have apprehended a white pick up truck containing several pounds of Meth after the truck failed to stop at a border crossing from Nhoor. The truck was picked up at the border crossing in Cenha Twtus by State Police when the truck failed to stop and raced through the checkpoint at speed before continuing into Seneican territory. State Police officers gave chase to the truck which was eventually brought to a stop by deployed tire spikes several miles down the road. The driver was arrested on scene at gunpoint and a search of the truck uncovered several large packages of the drug Methamphetamine under the covered truck bed. The driver is believed to be of Nhoor nationality but as yet has not been named. He is currently being detained by the Seneican State Police awaiting judicial proceedings. Also found in the truck was an unregistered firearm, a bowie knife and several bundles of cash (Nhoor currency).

The suspect will remain detained until an investigation is completed by Seneican authorities. Communication is underway with the Nhoor government to establish the identity of the male before criminal trial proceeds with likely life imprisonment being sentenced or extradition to Nhoor. The Meth has been seized along with the pick-up truck for further investigations. It is not yet known the intended destination of the drugs.

Magarati gov to pull out of Central Canal after army threatened coup

Image

NEW LIBANG, LIBA HANGATE

The Magarati central government led by Rhula Hangma has decided to finally withdraw all of its forces from the Central Canal after the Athara Magarat National Army, per the request "anti-imperial protesters" across the federation, threatened to launch a coup.

Soldiers and tanks took to the streets, marching alongside the protesters; defending the latter from New Libang Police and the Armed Police Force. Fight jets soared over the capital city and it seemed that the Eagle Force (aerial branch of the Magarati Army) was ready to bomb their own parliament. A colonel, who both the army and the central government refused to name, is confirmed to have been kidnapped by his own men after he refused orders from higher-ups in the military to let the soldiers join the protesters. These actions by the army made it clear that the Magarati federation would have to experience yet another coup until the demands of the protesters were fulfilled.

"The central government has failed us all. It has failed us Magarati citizens, the Magarati army, the international community and the founders of our federation with the blatant imperialist actions in Central Canal." A student activist told the Herald.

"If the government is so worried about terrorism, it should fix our internal issues in Khumbuwan and Chatha must be fixed first." Another protester voiced her opinion. "There are active revolts in Khumbuwan and Chatha, not to mention the clan war happening in Second Tamuwan Hangate, and yet; the imperialist factions are busy trying to recreate empires of the past in Central Canal rather than facing problems of modern times."

A spokesman for the Rhula Hangma administration calmed the protesters and prevented a possible coup after stating that the central government would withdraw all of its forces from Central Canal as soon as possible. While many protesting in the streets welcomed this idea, not everyone was pleased with the sudden order.

"The Magarati government cannot withdraw all of a sudden after what it has done there in Central Canal. It is now the responsibility of this government to ensure that southern regions of Central Canal do not fall into chaos. The northern regions of the Central Canal have Alteran forces present there to maintain stability. Chaos will reign supreme if the Magarati army is withdrawn all of a sudden without any considerations." MP Swarga Kulung said as he accused the army of trying to 'use force and make unconstitutional demands'.

Another MP had similar opinion. "It is because of actions like these that our nation is a push-over bullied by all of our neighbors and the MSTO. At the end, the blame lies on the military restrictions imposed upon our federation. If the federation had a a larger army, we could have fielded them in Central Canal, Khumbuwan and Chatha at the same time. Our current army is too weak to deal with three fronts at the same time and now using this political stunt, probably with the backing of the hangs or foreign powers, to curry favor with the gullible Magarati public. Why did the army say nothing all these months while they were in Central Canal? They are simply trying to make the Rhula Hangma administration the scapegoat here for every problem. There are some out there on the streets who blame a rotten apple falling from a tree to be the central government's fault."

"I do not care if our politicians whine about the army's threats. The Magarati army has always launched or threatened to launch coups whenever our federation has tilted towards imperialist tendencies. In fact, I am actually surprised the army did not launch a coup before being ordered to occupy the Central Canal." Another student activist told our reporters.

His Royal Majesty King Leon Wolf III of Havalland gave a beautiful speech at midnight July 30th, over a year has passed since he was crowned king. The masses came to hear their king, men women and children waved flags and cheered, it was like a party and the king quoted that the sight of such patriotism brought a tear to his eye, they were proud to be Havallish and were proud of their king.
In his speech King Leon vowed to increase the economic standing of Havalland, being in the center of the Mesder Sea Havalland has always been a prime location for trading and her economy is nothing to scoff at but Leon wishes to make Havalland even stronger economically.

Today, His Serpens Land Majesty's Ship St George was officially commissioned into the Royal Serpens Land Navy in a ceremony held at SLNB Fort Charlotte.

The 39,900 tonne vessel is the largest ship to ever be operated by the Royal Serpens Land Navy. She is the first and only vessel in her class and cost £2.8 billion.

The ceremony was attended by His Majesty The King and Queen Victoria. They visited the ship's central aircraft hangar where the Chaplain of the Fleet led the ceremony.

The commissioning of HSLMS St George means that Serpens Land now has and aircraft carrier in it's naval arsenal. Admiral Brendan Allen, Chief of the Defence Staff, said: "This is a monumental day for the Royal Serpens Land Navy. This is the culmination of over ten year's work. Everyone who was involved in this project should be very proud of themselves."

After commissioning, she will sail into the North Mesder Sea to conduct trials with her new Dragon F.1M fighter aircraft.

During her expected 50-years' service, the 260m long aircraft carrier could be deployed for a range of roles from providing humanitarian aid or disaster relief to high-intensity warfare.
