Over the course of this week, members of the Räichstag have been voting on the Constitutional Amendments for the Patriotic People and Workers of Austrovik-Germania, which was laid out by Minister-President Henri Einrhame, to the surprise and dismay of the Adolphe-Jean royal family. The armed forces and the public sector have also been praising the move to remove the monarchy.
On Wednesday, the Amendments officially passed through the Räichstag, with the Royal Conseil mutinying against King Adolphe-Jean I and officially making the monarchy defunct. On early Thursday morning, the former royal family were placed under house arrest to protect them against republican protestors and the National Transitional Authority of Defence was placed in power in the Räichstag building on 7:18AM by Minister-President Henri Einrhame.
However, in a major turn of events, the new Transititional Government voted to remove Henri Einrhame in fear of him being a 'power hungry, corporate stooge'. Instead, the new Chairman of Interim Authority, Etienne Victor, as head of state and government. The new Authority immediately established a nation curfew, and also increased numbers of patrolling armed police officers across key pro-monarchy, more right-leaning areas.
The National Transitional Authority of Defence has already began writing the Fifth Constitution of Austrovik-Germania. Major reforms are rumoured to be incuded in the new constitution, including a clause on the rights of the people, the allowance of multiple parties besides the Sozialistesch Nationalfront to run in elections, and also the freedom of international press to report in Austrovik-Germania. Chairman Victor made this statement in a small press briefing on the steps of the Räichstag building this evening, with the cold Austrovik wind clearly giving His Excellency quite a cold:
"It is important, imperitive, some would say, the Austrovik Integral Socialism to survive well beyond the 21st Century. However, the workers and people of the nation cannot complete this goal if they are bound by the shackles of an old, corrupt and oppressive system, with a leader 'for' the people simply a puppet of the monarchy's wishes. Going forward, I wish to build a brighter, more prosperous Austrovik-Germania, where labourers can come home to their families with smiling faces and food on the table. I wish to see the StNf bound more tightly to the State, to allow the peoples' wishes to be executed without fail. Me and the rest of the Interim Government are working tirelessly to create a new constitution for the new, modern Integral Socialist Federative Republic of Austrovik-Germania. Of course, you may chuckle at the length of such a name, but the Will of the People must be carried out. I will not rest until I have achieved such a goal.
The new Transitional Authority has also planned to start assisting socialist freedom fighters in their great struggle in the imploding nation of Rashadah, the neighbouring Islamic republic, bordering Austrovik-Germania, which has been the victim of extremist terrorism and violence.
The Transitional Council commented this on the continueing decay of Rashadah:
"The most powerful tool in diplomacy is dialogue, as conducted by our bountiful ally of Nhoor earlier this week when they achieved in getting dates for talks with the government of the Republic Rashadah later this month, but the Will of the People is also a vital tool in the development of the nation. As a result, the Transitional Authority and the succeeding government will spare no thought in assisting its socialist brethren in the fight for freedom against the shackles of extremist Islam and to allow the children of the beautiful nation of Rashadah to grow up in socialist peace and prosperity.
