Federal deputy Cleber Lopes, new leader of PDN

PDN elects new party leader; Cleber Lopes

The last nine months were troubled for the National Democracy Party (PDN), as, during this period, the party has elected three different persons to the post of Party Leader, João Amaral in January, Tábata Amoêdo in March and Kisol Freitas in July. All the three elections were lively, showing clearly the division among the PDN.

However, the federal deputy Cleber Lopes surprised everyone when the results of 2019's fourth PDN leader election came out today. With 78% of the votes (71 out of 92), the new leader of PDN seems to have restored the unity of PDN both in the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate. In the next weeks, it is expected that Cleber Lopes will join forces with federal deputy Luiz Fiuza, leader of the Catholic Conservative Party (PCC), to consolidate the group of Opposition against the government of Prime Minister Paulo Lacerda, of the Marian Workers' Party (PTM).

"Although deputy Fiuza fits in a more conservative definition than me, we agree on the great importance of continuing the work of ex-Prime Minister Leonardo Pinheiro in building a more free market in Dragão do Mar. Currently we are the minority in the parliament, but my view is that we must do absolutely everything in order to stop more accomplishments of the ambitions of economic interventionism of Prime Minister Lacerda" said Cleber Lopes during the assembly of PDN members.

Nový Litkov, Mokovi Democratic Republic

Under New Management

Early this morning, the traitorous People's Front attempted to overthrow our noble republic by storming the State Assembly building. Luckily, the Grey Legion managed to rally the troops and crushed them before any real damage could be done. Unfortunately, First Speaker Jozef Lezko was killed in the fighting. Anton Markevic, leader of the Grey Legion has declared himself Supreme Leader of the Republic, abolishing the position of First Speaker and the People's Assembly. This action was fully supported by a unanimous vote by the People's Assembly.

Vancouvian Congress Passes Bill to Increase Military Budget by 20%

On June 13, the Vancouvian Congress issued a declaration absorbing the Vancouvian Occupation Zone of Charbagnia as Vancouvian Agnion. In the past few months, radicalized anti-Vancouvian groups have directed multiple small scale terrorist actions against the Vancouvian and Agnionese defense forces, as well as civilians, resulting in an estimated 780 casualties. In an effort to curb these and other terrorist activities, including on San Javier and Illa Isle, Congress passed a $5B re-appropriation bill today to increase the Vancouvian National Army and Vancouvian Special Forces budget each by roughly 20% in the coming fiscal year.

Multiple think-tanks and analysts have discovered that this will degrade Vancouvia into a budget deficit for the first time since 2003. Congress has emphasized that a budget deficit is in some sense healthy, and that a limited amount of borrowing will improve monetary availability, cash flows, and investment in the country's infrastructure. Watchdog groups are not as optimistic, citing that an increase in military spending is historically one of the least efficient ways to grow the domestic economy.

Illa Quagmire Continues to Rage On

Illa continues to evade reclamation into Vancouvian control. This week, pro-Vancouvia counter protests in Westilla resulted in a fierce backlash, with paramilitary and police forces loyal to rebel leader Ignacio Campos killing five, injuring dozens, and imprisoning hundreds. This comes after months of relative peace on the island, with Campos seemingly silently gathering influence of the island's economic and military capabilities.

It is estimated that roughly 400,000 of the island's two million residents are loyal to Vancouvia, with another million neutral to either side. Vancouvia has slowly tried to gather support on the island through the use of "information campaigns" including distributing pro-government pamphlets via airdrop and broadcasting Vancouvian media over TV and radio waves. It is also rumored that squads of VSF and VEO may be present on the island, helping to arm and train a partisan force, although Congress has denied these claims.

The general populace has seemed to grow more disinterested with Illa affairs as time has gone on, with one poll finding that only 37% of Vancouvians want the military to retake Illa, down from 45% just three months prior. Still, however, Congress has adamantly denied Campos' government's legitimacy, declaring the rebellion on Illa illegal and treasonous.

Reports of Purges by the Rebels

KBA intelligence recently confirmed rumors that the recently empowered Grey Legion, under one Brigadier General Anton Markevic, have been conducting internal purges of their political enemies, primarily the People's Front, whose botched coup d'état resulted in the Grey Legion takeover. Also targeted are the Radikální Demokraté, whose democratic ideals directly oppose the ideology of the Grey Legion. Further reports state that no less than four hundred people have been arrested or executed in these initial purges. More news as it comes.

Southern Argus AirFerry Bought Out By Mubako Empire; Pursues International Flight Routes

Khanya City - One of Khanya Island’s most famous and wealthy citizens, Frederick Mubako, has reportedly bought out Port Bonaré based Southern Argus AirFerry as of Monday. Negotiations have been ongoing for several days but the two parties finally came to an agreement yesterday evening.

The local magnate has been a catalyst for many luxury and tourist development on Khanya Island, especially within the city itself. Frederick Mubako has operated a small private jet line for years based out of Port Bonaré, however it was always highly exclusive. Monday’s buy-out marked a significant step for Mubako and his empire as they wish to enter the international airline market.

By all accounts, Southern Argus AirFerry has been struggling with upkeep and management in recent years. The airline, which serviced a respectable number of airports throughout the Isles at its height, has since experienced a string of questionable CEOs and fleet reductions. By the summer of 2019, it was reported that the airline had decommissioned two times the number of aircraft than it was currently operating. Further, ridership was down to critical levels.

Frederick Mubako commented on the deal Monday, saying “This deal with Southern Argus AirFerry...provides us with unprecedented potential, on an international scale. AirFerry will find new life, and rise to new heights.” Southern Argus AirFerry will be rebranded Frederick Mubako AirLux, and market itself as a selective upscale airline for wealthier Martenyikans and foreign tourists.

Although headquartered in Port Bonaré, Mubako has clarified in a press conference that flight and cruise options will be available to Khanya Island, which is home to his empire. Additionally, Frederick Mubako AirLux is adopting previous AirFerry routes and even negotiating new ones internationally.

National Court Rules in Favor of Fired Journalist
10-22-19

Moments ago, the National Court in Ashluv ruled on the combined cases of Baziri Asud Vs. The News and Media Collective of Thuzbekistan and National Government Vs. Baziri Asud in favor of Mr. Asud. After months of closed door court sessions at the request of Prime Minister Cihangir, the court spokesman made this statement:

"The National Court has found that both the termination of Mr. Asud and the charges of treason and espionage which were brought by the National Government were wrongfully filed against Mr. Asud. As with all National Court cases, the ruling will be reviewed by the Judiciary Council before being released to the public. We will not be answering questions at this time."

The ruling comes as a justification to many protest leaders who, despite striking a deal with authorities to not organize protests for a period of six weeks, have called for more protests against the government. Groups associated with the protests on social media began to organize once more for this evening to protest the Cihangir government and to demand new elections.

"The Courts have vindicated us!", a statement read on one TWItter page. "We are not the treasonous dogs they believe we are! We are fighting for our nation, for our rights, and for our families! We must demand the removal of Cihangir and his criminal government! We have won in the courts and now we must win at the Ballot Box!"

Authorities in Ashluv are warning protesters that they will be "arrested en mass" and met with "escalating force" should the protest occur.

Calls for elections have not just come from the streets, however.

The Opposition Party of Thuzbekistan officially filed a request for snap elections on Friday, marking only the second time since the two party system was made that the Opposition has exercised it's right to call for an election.

"We believe that the Prime Minister has set the nation on a path that will soon be irreparable," the request read. "If we do not veer from this course, our nation will suffer horrible consequences both from internal and external forces not seen since the Famine of 1963 or the turmoil that led to the rise of Blashinki in 1937. Elections are not only the simplest way to change the course, but also the only way to restore legitimacy to a government which has not faced elections since 2014."

The Vanguard Party Chairman said that he had "received the request and will forward it to the Prime Minister".

According to the laws defining the operations of parliament laid out in several phases between '63 and '75, this was not the Chairman's only option. The request could have simply been denied by the Chairman himself.

"The fact that the Chairman failed to simply deny the request out of hand shows that there is a fracturing in the Palace," one commentator said on TIS Ashluv yesterday. "The Chairman and the Prime Minister need to meet and have a real conversation about where they stand as the Chairman has failed to shield the Prime Minister from involvement. Instead of handling issues within the parties himself, he has forced the Prime Minister into a very undesirable position."

The Prime Minister now faces the choice of either allowing for elections immediately or pushing it off to 2024 when the law requires him to do so. The Palace must make this decision amidst renewed protests now directly targeted not just at the FWC, but to him personally as well. This development reportedly has the Palace Staff on alert with constant pestering of the National Police to quell the protests.

Elections are normally held every 10 years as parliament is set to be a "stable and guiding body" rather than an "ever changing, unstable entity" in the Acts that founded parliament. However, the Opposition can demand elections at any point. The demand is then sent to the Prime Minister for approval. That single step has fettered most attempts to demand elections.

The Prime Minister has until Friday to either allow or deny their request. Until then, protests are likely to get larger and better organized.

Joint Exercise ‘Jackal Summit’ Waves Farewell to San Montagnan Alpine Troops

Camp Kinah - The 21st Mountain Battalion welcomed alpine troops from San Montagna late last week at Camp Kinah, for Joint Exercise Jackal Summit. Camp Kinah serves as Martenyika’s main mountain warfare training center, although it has not hosted foreign troops for several years.

Joint Exercise Jackal Summit is the first of its kind for mountaineers since 2008. Although the 21st has engaged in wargames against other mountain battalions, many in the unit were eager to test their training and skills against San Montagna’s own alpine soldiers. “San Montagna has a sizable alpine warfare component,” Sergeant Faraji Tumelo told the Newsletter, “so we wanted to see where we could both improve. I think it was a good experience for both forces.”

The 21st Mountain Battalion trained with troops of the San Montagnan Alpine Corps for several days until Jackal Summit concluded on Wednesday. During this time, mountaineers tested their proficiency in wilderness and high altitude survival skills, as well as combat tactics. According to Sergeant Tumelo, “we are always told ‘the first enemy is the mountain, the second enemy is the one on the mountain.’” Mountain warfare presents many dangers, even in training. Recruits must learn to adapt and overcome despite the dangers posed by unsteady ground, the elements, high altitude, and enemy troops shooting back—even if it’s just blanks and they wave goodbye when it’s over.

Soodalter visits Dragão do Mar in foreign debut, as ALDRATO eyes fighter jet

Deputy President Nora Soodalter meets with members of the media in Fortaleza, Dragão do Mar, on October 25, 2019

FORTALEZA- Deputy President Nora Soodalter made her first foreign trip today, visiting Dragão do Mar, Almorea's neighbor and ally, for bilateral talks with the Marian government.

Mrs. Soodalter, who took office on October 13, visited the Marian capital of Fortaleza and met with Prime Minister Paulo Lacerda, along with Marian defense and diplomatic officials. The Deputy President was accompanied by a variety of Almorean representatives, including Secretary of State Kirk Thurson and Intelligence Director Gen. John Lord.

According to the official State Department summary of the visit, Mrs. Soodalter presented Mr. Lacerda with a letter from President Alasdair Hallowell. The two reviewed soldiers of the Battalion of Royal Guard before sitting down to what was described as a "working lunch". Tomorrow, Mrs. Soodalter will accompany Mr. Lacerda to visit the city Iguatemi in the Marian province of Solaria, which borders the Almorean province of New Arvan.

The Almorean-Marian discussions focused on ALDRATO alliance initiatives, including the multinational development of a fighter jet, known in the planning stage as the "Aquila". Although detailed information on the project has not been made available to the public, the War Department has indicated that prototypes of the fifth-generation jet fighter will enter trials with the Air Force in mid-2020.

The Aquila was also the subject of a phone call between President Hallowell and Mr. Lacerda earlier this month. In November, a team of Almorean design specialists will make a "follow-up" visit to Fortaleza for further technical talks on the project.

Mrs. Soodalter also discussed the Marian concept of a Raedlon "monetary fund" with Mr. Lacerda. The proposal, put forward by Marian representatives, envisions loans made by ALDRATO to struggling nations within the Western Isles. The plan, if established in a concrete agreement by the two governments, is likely to face severe headwinds in Congress.

Potential Almorean observer status in the Association of Luso-Hispanic Nations was also discussed. Almorea has over 1.5 million Marians and 4.9 million Totzkans resident within its borders.

Mrs. Soodalter will return to Ellsburgh on Sunday, accompanied by most of the Almorean diplomatic team except for Secretary Thurson, who will visit Rashadah on October 29.

Government Bonds in Turmoil as Political Showdown Begins
10-26-19

A joint statement today by the Islamic Socialist Party leader Emin Vedat and the Opposition Chairman Harun Burak sent bond prices to the floor and has thrown the FWC system into panic as more protests are expected. The statement promised to "override the Prime Minister's veto" by "any means available."

The combined forces of a united Opposition party and the ISP could have the numbers to force an election within a few months if the Vanguard Chairman acts as passively as he did with the initial request for an election. This, along with the protests and the recently released report on the FWC failures, has sent the market into turmoil. Most collectives will begin feeling the effects on Monday, when sale orders go through and the price officially crash. Government bonds especially will be affected as the trust in the stability of the government has most certainly fallen in the last months, even worse than the initial aftermath of the Orsandian Conflict.

In Bashlon, tech collectives are preparing by putting in their own buy orders in their own shares to fill the holes left by the mass sell off. On one hand, this eats away at available funds for these collectives to continue their operations, but, on the other, allows these collectives to own more of themselves. This trend for collectives to try and own more of themselves is increasing as the collective heads view the FWC as less of a governing body and more as a nuisance.

"The failures of the FWC System affect both the collectives and, through us, the people.", a Collective Chairman said anonymously. "We have to find stability within our own collectives and in order to do so, we need to have more control from the FWC. Buying shares in our own collective is the only way to gain the control from the FWC."

In Ashluv, many conservatives have called for the increase of the percentage of shares a collective may own of itself from 50 to 75 percent, a move which has been called an "attempt to destroy the foundations of our economy".

According to the Conservative Party members who espouse this view, the 25 percent still owned by the government will allow for accountability while also allowing for the needed levels of autonomy that many economic think tanks in Ashluv, Bashlon, and Baslov have been suggesting.

International Socialists and their allies have denounced this view as "tantamount to treason" against the communist roots of the nation and even so far as against Islam as it would "fail to care for the poorest members of society".

But either way, the collectives will feel the pain of this political turmoil and may not be able to avoid it even if they own more of themselves than ever. The FWC yesterday sent out a memo to the regional WCs that directed them to "store up food and other necessities in the case of a shortage." The memo, which was leaked that same day, described the chance for "civil disorder" to increase and that possible strikes may affect production at all levels.

This level of uncertainty is now the new norm in Ashluv, though, and will likely remain so until a new government is put in power or the Cihangir Government quells the chaos.

This has been the TSN Publishing House in Bashlon.

Scantarbians ‘steal’ Enchanti water; Keveraites to blame

Investigative journalists who have indicated their wishes to remain anonymous have uncovered a scandal in Central Argus as it appears that the Scantarbian firefighting aircraft, who had been fighting the Leafy Valley fire (9 October - 12 October) in Keverai in fact unknowingly crossed the border into Enchanta to restock their tanks with water.

This comes amidst Enchanta facing the most significant civil war in recent memory and the recent revolution in Keverai which has been paving the way for a reformist Government who has been desperate to build a good reputation.

The journalists have stated that faulty Keveraite air control equipment and a general lack of interest from the Keveraite Government in moderating its northern airspace was the cause for the issue. This appears to be a realistic scenario with Jemma Nortin, Associate Professor in Government and Politics from the University of Kevara states:

“The Keveraite Government very much needs to update its airspace management infrastructure, especially in the areas outside of Southport and Kevara. The last recent update in the north of the nation was in the early 2000s and even then that was a partial rollout based on a means test.”

“A situation in which a plane gets lost up there isn’t exactly out of the question, which is extremely concerning.”

Keveraites and the Isles at large are to be reminded that Southport and Kevara airspace run on different systems and are still very much safe in their travels to or near the cities.

Argus Air was contacted in relation to the story for additional comment, to which journalists received a generic answer citing “difficulties in working with north Keverai air infrastructure”.

INTERNATIONAL: Gifford visits Austrovik-Germania
Eschdange, Austrovik-Germania

PM Gifford has spent the past three days in Austrovik-Germania in a ‘learning tour’ in the distant western nation to better understand the nation firsthand and to talk about its concerns and perspectives of regional affairs. In her delegation was the Deputy Foreign Minister, the Secretary of Western Affairs amongst several business leaders keen to enter the growing market.

On the first day, Gifford and her delegation quietly landed in Eschdange at its International Airport before being rushed to the International Hotel of Eschdange for a dinner with the delegation and the business leaders. The next morning, Gifford attended the formal welcome which was held in the Royal Palace before speaking to a combined meeting of the Raichstag and the Royal Conseil. Afternoon tea was spent with the monarch of the nation, His Majesty King Adolphe-Jean I.

The third day featured a roundtable and a large working lunch where the delegation mingled with powerful and influential Austrovik-Germanians before Gifford held a speech with Minister-President Henri Einrhame.

“I am pleased to announce that a relationship has certainly been set up between our two nations as a result of these meetings over the past three days. As a sign of our intent, we intend to both upgrade our consulate in Remicbruch and move it to Eschdange in order to establish an embassy in the capital of Austrovik-Germania. In following from this, we will appoint a new ambassador to the nation who will begin his tenure on the 1st of November.”

Einrhame signalled his intent to reciprocate this act, with an ambassador to be sent to Arnton by the 10th of November.

“This will not be a fast act - we will send the best architects we have for this project. We do hope, however, that our ambassador will be able to forge and strengthen the foundations of the relationship that have been built between our two nations today.”

No trade deals or other agreements of note have come out of the meeting, a quite uncommon occurance for Ahnslen diplomatic state visits. However, sources close to the Secretary of Western Affairs have signalled that many businesspeople are interested in expanding into each other’s markets.

INTERNATIONAL: ‘Daggermen’ attack ARSF in Roendavar
Eire, Roendavar

An Ahnslen Regional Stability Force soldier has been severely injured and three more sustaining minor injuries, alongside thirteen arrested after a joint Ahnslen-Roendavarian raid on a cottage deep in the forests of Roendavar led to an ambush went sideways.

At approximately 9:30pm on the 28th of October in the Tillanoran Great Forest, ARSF and Roendavarian Federal Police acting on a tip-off raided a small building by a creek said to house the fourteen children that initially were reported missing in March of this year. However, whilst ARSF personnel acting on the advice of IPNO advisors and cartographers, entered the forests through an unconventional route they were still identified and attacked by twenty suspected Roendavarian nationals.

Thirteen out of the twenty were arrested and are now being held in remand in Eire, Roendavar as they await further questioning and ultimately their trials.

Overseer-General George Ashwood held a press conference with Defence Minister Patrick Carboni today to notify the media of what happened and to settle the rumours which have been circling across the internet.

“We regret to inform you all that four Ahnslen personnel are injured and receiving treatment in Dociara following a costly operation in the Tillanoran Great Forest where they were acting on intelligence which suggested fourteen missing children were being held hostage. Unfortunately, this appears to have been a trap and as a result the whereabouts of the missing girls has not been ascertained any better than before.”
Overseer-General George Ashwood

It is not yet clear how exactly this trap was planted, but Defence Minister Carboni emphasised the need for citizens to report missing persons despite the outcome of this operation.

“Truth is that many of the calls we get that are serious and check out from an intelligence standpoint really help these hard-working men and women find missing persons. Do not let the sorrowful outcome of this tipoff dissuade you.”

“If you have information, we want to know it.”

No Roendavarian personnel were harmed and a joint investigation has been established to better understand what caused this ambush to happen but also to better inform future joint operations in the Tillanoran Great Forest.

Moments ago, Islamic Socialist leader Emin Vedat and Opposition party members voted to override the Prime Minister's veto of their request to call a general election. They were only able to do this when the National Police called for military support and a general strike was declared by protest leaders for the first time since the 1960's. These two actions by unrelated groups show that the nation has reached a point of "chaos and division" in which the Parliament can declare the Prime Minister as incompetent and call for a general election.

The vote was strictly along party lines in the Vanguard party with both the Moderate Socialists and the Internationalists voting against the measure while the Opposition and the Islamic Socialists voted for it. With the Call for Elections Resolution passing, the Prime Minister now has to set a date for the elections and it can be no more than 60 days after the passage of the resolution. The Prime Minister's office released a statement shortly afterwards saying that "the requirements of the law were not met" and that they would be suing in the National Courts over it's passage.

However, the case may never see the light of day in the courts as the Act of Parliamentary Procedures of 1973 removes the ability for the Palace to sue parliament in the case that Parliament has deemed the Prime Minister unfit or incompetent. National Court judges, who, surprisingly, ruled against the government last week, now gets the chance to do so again. Legal scholars say that they face a tough decision.

"The Letter of the law states that the Prime Minister cannot influence the actions of parliament after this vote has passed," a legal professor at the University of Ashluv stated. "However, the spirit of the law was that a unified parliament under the direction of the Vanguard was to be the one to call for the elections. It is not very likely that the writers of these acts would have seen the opposition as the primary actors rather than the Vanguard."

This could mean that the court has grounds to rule against the Parliament rather than the government, a decision that could not only put off an election for another 5 years, but also throw the nation into another round of turmoil.

This has been Thuzbek State News.

Hundreds of Protesters Rounded Up in Ashluv as Sit-ins Shut Down Factories and Workplaces Across the Nation
10-30-19

The National Police announced today that, with the Army's help, they had arrested hundreds of "violent demonstrators" in Ashluv and Baslov. This comes as reports indicate that over a dozen officers and soldiers were injured and an unknown number of protesters were transported to local hospitals.

The protesters were "throwing rocks and fire bombs at the police" and "were a danger to the public." However, witnesses and footage from the protests shows few if any of the protesters partaking in these actions. Witnesses instead describe a "wall of black and green" backed by "armoured vehicles" firing live ammunition both in the air and at the feet of protesters as "officers and soldiers boxed them in".

The violence being asserted by both sides is only the latest escalation to a long standing routine of protesting and fighting in the streets of Ashluv and Baslov. For months, elusive leaders of these protests have evaded capture by police as they orchestrate a nationwide movement from various social medias. The police have met with them only via online chats and are "heavily disguised in both appearance and code" according to sources familiar with meetings.

In these meetings, protest leaders have negotiated breaks during holidays and "cease-fires" of sorts during sensitive moments in the chaotic show in Parliament that may decide the nation's fate. However, the protest leaders recently stated that they are "done meeting with police officers who do not honor their word." There will be no more negotiations.

Shortly after their statement, the protest leaders announced the beginning of the strike which has now crippled Thuzbek production in many key areas. Through sit-ins and walk-outs, workers across the nation are causing as much disruption as they can to the supply chain without provoking a violent response. While general strikes are technically illegal, police and collectives alike have been unable to stem the tide of protests.

While the national police have called on the military to help, only a few army units were dispatched to Ashluv. Now, the Palace is reportedly calling up the Marines to "take charge of the situation" and to "restore order to the streets and workplaces of Thuzbekistan."

If they are called in, it will be the first time since the People's Republic was founded that Marines would be carrying out policing action. Many fear that the move may be premature and more likely to escalate the violence and chaos rather than quell it.

"The simplest way for the Thuzbek government to get out of this unscathed is to have elections," a commentator at the Baslovian Publishing House said in an editorial. "But to do so is to lose their power, and the internationalists can't have that."

With the Government giving no indication that it is willing to call for elections, the crisis could continue to grow with devastating effects on the economy.

The Cossacks are Traitors!

Supreme Leader Markevic revealed to us today the betrayal of our noble republic by those southern barbarians that call themselves 'Trosrod Cossacks'. Their leader, a vile creature by the name Bogdan Federov, has had the gall to launch attacks on our glorious troops on their way to the ailing royalist stronghold of Krolecz. Hold no doubts in your hearts, noble Mokovi, for we will exterminate these traitors, and wipe our lands clean, once and for all!

Keveraite Fire Water Incident: Who is to blame?

Written by Sumarjiyono
Senior Defense Analyst, Resolute Group

Although air traffic control infrastructure in Northern Keverai is indeed aging, the reason for its faultiness remains a huge question. But first of all, we need to look at the regional dynamics as a whole. On the other side of the border, we have an unevenly-developed Keverai, and on the other hand, a war-torn Enchanta. There is no question that the interests of certain parties are at play here, and the Enchanti government should be the one we point our fingers at.

The Enchanti government’s interest is to obtain funds to aid their war effort. With the war getting protracted, they are in danger of falling short of money. There have been reports that the Enchantis purposely and maliciously damaged Keveraite air traffic control, either via jamming or covert sabotage operations, to temporarily disable it. This malicious action, which is an infringement towards Keveraite sovereignty, is done to take advantage of the ongoing firefighting effort.

With the lack of sufficient air control system, it is easy for airplanes to go astray. What makes it weirder is the reported loss of GNOSIS (Global Navigation Satellite Constellation System) signal by Scantarbian pilots that happened to them when attempting to fill in their water tank. This signal loss is an indication that there is a jamming system present in the place to deliberately make the aircraft flying off their intended course and fill up in Enchanti lakes. By having these aircraft take water inside Enchanti territory, it means that the Enchanti government can ask the government whose plane “illegally” take Enchanti water — in this case, Scantarbia — for compensation.

And where does this compensation money goes? To fund the Enchanti war effort, of course. Earlier this morning, the Scantarbian government issued a statement rejecting any demands by the Enchantis for compensation for the water and essentially saying that it is not our fault and the water is used for the betterment of humanity (to resolve a crisis that puts human living hood at stake). Scantarbian government also offered the Keveraite government investments in upgrading Northern Keverai air traffic control systems to prevent such events from happening again.

Meanwhile, it is still not sure whether or not the Scantarbian government itself has a direct connection with the Civil War at Enchanta, but recent footages that came out from the chaos at Encanta showed Scantarbian anti-tank launchers in use by the rebels to ambush an Enchanti convoy. It is still unknown where these weapons came from. But what we know for sure is that the Enchanti government will use any means, even one as malicious as disabling a foreign country air control system, to obtain funding and support for their war effort.

VOHLRIN'S 'LAND DEAL' REPORT PRESENTED TO DARNA: "A DAY OF SHAME"

NOVEMBER 1 2019 | FNN political commentator Alen Maalsjer | Porohare, Ostehaar

Attorney General Mark Vohlrin presented his final report on the 'Land Deal' case to the Darna this morning, marking the end of a two-year long investigation. In what would probably be remembered as one of the Oster administration's lowest moments, the Attorney General read aloud written testimonies regarding Minister of Defense Aarin Dulikh's misconduct, as he sat in the room a few meters from him. Vohlrin concluded his presentation with a few personal words, calling today "a day of shame". The classified section of the report was presented afternoon in closed-doors by Kala Sjvaher, head of the special investigation committee. Both officials in the committee and Ministry of Defense advisers agree that it is relatively insignificant and does not change the general conclusions.

The report - 984 pages long - details how the government's Rural Development Foundation (RDF) was allowed to amass over 4 billion KR (roughly 2.8 billion USD) in illegal off-shore accounts, while investing only a few of the revenues in the organization's stated purpose - the development of rural lands across Ostehaar. The illegal revenues were used mainly to fund construction and infrastructure works at several government and military sites, mainly in Ostehaar and Lovsk.

RDF directors and a few government officials and defense contractors also used a portion of the funds for their personal interests. Minister Dulikh himself, according to the report, accumulated shares worth nearly 12 million USD through his involvement in the 'Land Deal'. Attorney General Vohlrin called for the Minister's resignation, today after the morning session. "The evidence are clear and convincing," Vohlrin said, "I have no doubt he will have to face trial soon." Minister of Rural Development, Aarin Fric, who was in-charge of the RDF and was implicated in fraud and corruption charges, already promised that he would resign first thing next week.

Head of the opposition, Mikahel Si Ardner, congratulated Vohlrin and his staff for their work and called the conclusions "yet another proof that this government should step down." Si Ardner has been the most vocal and decisive voice on the matter since it was first reported two years ago. In his speech at the Darna today following Vohlrin's presentation, he accused interim Prime Minister Elena Brahurer of "holding on to her seat" and said that although she was not involved in the case itself, she still has to take responsibility over this failure. "If all these months you were only looking for a ladder to step down from office, now is the right time," he concluded. Brahurer replied to Si Ardner at the end of the session, calling his words "unreasonable".

DFO spokesman Lihr Vortisj was quick to announce that all military projects connected to the 'Land Deal' will be suspended, and that an internal investigation will be established in order determine if high-ranking officers were involved in misconduct.

Keverai Allies With Enchanta

Image Man left homeless due to war

Keverai, a tiny nation west of Enchanta, will be making a big impact on the war effort. HEMI (Humanitarian + Emergency Management International) is currently in Hintere, Keverai planning to send resources to us.
The current civil war has ruined our nation and has created food, water and housing shortages. A few aid organizations have tried to help, such as https://rnahara19.wixsite.com/enchanta,
however no organizations have reached out internationally.

EAST MEETS WEST - INSIGHT ON AINSLIE MEETINGS

During the course of this week, Prime Minister Gifford of the Unified Electorates of Ainslie, a nation in the easternmost tip of Gael, met with the government and His Majesty King Adolphe-Jean I to discuss future relations with the two nations.

The Ahnslen Delegation met with Austrovik officials on Wednesday 30th of October. It was clear the attitude of both the People's government and the government of Ainslie was one of good will and serious, geniune desires for the betterment of both nations. The main site of international mingling between Ahnslen and Austrovik businessmen and government officials was in the Royal Conseil Committee Hall, where the delegation and the People's government had a roundtable dinner. Austrovik businesess such as the billion-dollar Übermacht-Krupp Group, Austrovik Auto Firma (AMF), and also the National Worker's Agricultural Co-Operative. The NASDA supermarket brand, and several government trade officials also were there, such as the Minister for Industry and Trade, Horst Scholz.

Great Leader Minister-President Henri Einrhame made this statement:
"The Integral Socialist State of Austrovik-Germania and the Unified Electorates of Ainslie are both major economic powerhouses. And money equates to political influence. With our newfound friendship with the Ahnslen people, the Integral State can find itself a new trade partner, and also another partner in the facing-off of the New Islamic Brotherhood in the Islamic state of Rashadah. Radical Islamic Terrosism is against the will of the Isles, and also Austrovik-Germania, which will not stand by such disgusting brainwashing.

Ainslie is also welcomed into the People's capital - Eschdange. We are in the final stages of planning and designing the new Ahnslen embassy. This will not be a fast act - we will send the best architects we have for this project. We do hope, however, that our ambassador will be able to forge and strengthen the foundations of the relationship that have been built between our two nations today."

After the Ahnslen delegation left Austrovik-Germania, Minister for Industry and Trade, Horst Scholz, made this statement to the press outside the Eschdange International Airport:

"Myself and the rest of the Council of Ministers are hugely excited. The man who moves a mountain begins by lifting small stones, as Confucious once said. As such, Austrovik-Germania is preparing for a new trade route, never seen before in the Isles. From Raedlon to Gael, from Austrovik-Germania to Ainslie, this new trade route shall be the bloodline of the two continents. Austrovik-Germania wishes nothing more but for the economic growth and development of its neighbours. The new Ring Road will be a plan Austrovik-Germania will push for to its neighbours."

RKT Special: The 50th Anniversary of “Black Monday,” and Eastern Martenyika Today
Presented by Kito Dembe

Osten-Kejara - Fifty years after the shocking tragedy that spurred cries for independence amongst many of its residents, eastern Martenyika remains a proud—if troubled—section of the developing nation. This RKT special highlights the issues that still affect the region today.

The morning of November 3, 1969 was just another Monday in Osten-Kejara, the “Grossostland’s” (“Greater Eastland,” termed by 19th century Austrovik-Germanians who were incentivized to settle the region) largest city at the time. However the Royal university in Osten-Kejara was experiencing an attendance issue. Many of the students were involved in a public demonstration that had been organized for the day to protest perceived governmental neglect in eastern Martenyika. They believed a Republican form of government, not the monarchy, would allow them more representation.

Today, family members lay tokens of remembrance on the sidewalks where fifty years before, their kin came under fire from royal troops, leaving 15 dead. The official narrative claimed that members of radical eastern separatist groups had inflamed the situation with violence and weapons, and the shooting was justified under the circumstances. Nevertheless, “Black Monday” remains a sticking point for many eastlanders today—family members of the 15 victims still hope for official closure, just as they hoped the monarchy would apologize after the incident.

According to locals, this kind of patience, or impatience, is all to familiar in eastern Martenyika. In the immediate aftermath of Black Monday, the King did prompt some general improvements for the region, but residents contend that there hasn’t been enough upkeep or follow-through over the years, even since the death of the King and transition to a Republic in the 1980s. The Eastern Liberation Front states that “just as in the aftermath of Black Monday fifty years ago, eastern pleas have largely gone unheeded. We are the only ones who have the ears to hear, and the desire to respond. Not the government of Martenyika.” Meanwhile the more moderate Eastern Citizens Party counters that “complete separation would not ultimately benefit our people. We must keep pushing for improvements for our people, but in the spirit of national unity.”

Eastlanders hope to see improvements to things like transportation, general infrastructure, schools, and medical care, especially in rural areas. Local authorities often lack the funding necessary to build and maintain new developments, leading those in the east to wonder if they are being forgotten in favor of the modernizing, urbanizing western Martenyika.

The Eastern Citizens Party recognizes that many issues face this part of the nation today just as they have for years, but it still remains optimistic. “We’ve needed more infrastructure, more schools, many workers continue to just scrape by, it’s true. But we will keep advocating, and continue to stand in league with President Zubele so long as he acts on his promises for our region as a whole.”

Half a century after Black Monday, the question arises more than ever—will the new president and the government take on the difficult task of revitalizing the east? Will the families of the 15 dead, receive the closure they have longed for? Will there be a point of no return for Martenyikan geo-politics?

Mokovi Oil Stops Moving

The Kingdom of Mokov, located in the Mesder Sea, has since 1922, been a major exporter of both crude and refined oil to a number of nations. Those who have been following the situation within the island nation will know of the devastating civil war currently raging. With trade already damaged by sanctions, the company responsible for all oil exports, Royal Mokovi Oil, has declared bankruptcy. Shortly before this, the rebelling Mokov Democratic Republic managed to seize the oil fields in the island's center. These two events combined have resulted in the cessation of nearly all oil flowing out of Mokov.

Hallowell kicks off 2020 legislative elections with raucous AMP rally

Image
President Alasdair Hallowell (far left) meets with Gray Hills governor Joshua Lourenco (next from left), New Arvan senator Leonor Martins (center-right), and Queensland representative Steve Holt (far right) in Harmoran, Queensland province, on November 4, 2019

HARMORAN- As debates over deficit spending heat up in the capital, and the Anhslen leader approaches for a state visit, President Alasdair Hallowell managed to slip out and get away from it all.

His destination was Harmoran, a port town in Queensland province, where a delegation of Almorean Party politicians- governors, senators, and representatives from the southern provinces and the Trannsa- waited to meet him.

But Mr. Hallowell did not come as a statesman. Instead, he descended upon Queensland, a traditional Federalist stronghold, to headline a raucous AMP rally that analysts saw as firing the starting gun on the December 2020 congressional elections.

15,000 people packed into the Fortitude Conglomerated Arena to see Mr. Hallowell, wearing a suit and blue tie and draped in a Queensland fabric, tear into his political opponents in energetic and frequently combative language.

The President denounced Queensland governor Jeff Moore (F) as a "total failure" who "can't put his pants on in the morning". He urged Queenslanders to vote Mr. Moore out of office next year and offered Rep. Steve Holt (A), the main contender for the AMP nomination in the race, his "full and total" endorsement.

Mr. Hallowell also railed against what he denounced as "whiners, naysayers, and pessimists" in Congress who oppose his administration's 2020-21 budget plan, which calls for $19 billion in deficit spending to fund a bigger military and expanded welfare agencies. He praised Adashawnee representative Mark Parde (A), his biggest cheerleader in Congress, as "Mark the Shark" and suggested he might be promoted to the Cabinet.

Mr. Hallowell specifically targeted Queensland senator Robert Carruthers (F), calling him a "flop". The President made a rhetorical suggestion that the Queensland Assembly impeach Mr. Carruthers, who was arrested briefly, but not indicted, for driving under the influence of alcohol in 2018. Mr. Hallowell also pointed the finger at the Senate presiding officer, Jon Fitzlane (F-Frasyrland), attacking him as an "obstructionist".

The event was marred by protests outside the arena, where Special Security personnel arrested 27 people.

The President's language is nothing new; since taking office, he has reveled in flinging mud at his opponents, a tactic he perfected during his seven-year career in the Senate. Although Mr. Hallowell is currently stuck at a 33% approval rating among all Almoreans, he enjoys 68% approval among AMP members.

After making a trip to Blackshore, the capital of Queensland province, the President will return to Ellsburgh on Wednesday, where he is expecting a visit by Eleane Gifford, the Prime Minister of Ainslie.

CONSTITUTIONAL SHAKEUP RATTLES ROYAL FAMILY - CRIES FOR THEIR ABDICATION GROWING

NOVEMBER 4th 2019
ONLINE RENDITION

In the early evening of today, Minister-President Henri Einrhame agreed to help try and pass a deal to reform the entirity of the Austrovik political system, in a hope of creating a "new moral order in a socialist utopia, with Austrovik national swings". This new bill, formally known as the "Constitutional Amendments for the Patriotic People and Workers of Austrovik-Germania" is expected to try and go through the Räichstag, then through the Royal Conseil if it makes it through.

The Amendments have effectively petrified the Royal Family. His Majestu King Adolphe-Jean I has expressed dismay for this deal, however has made no official comment against it. It is possible, however, that he may abdicate before the Bill is passed, as indicated by a royal aid. There are no official decisions that have been made yet, however.

Within these Amemdments includes the dissolvement of the Räichstag and the Royal Conseil, and replacing them both with a new variety of state organs. These include the Austrovik People's National Congress, the Volleks Nationalkongress, which includes the Council of Members of People's National Congress and the State Council. The Monarch will be officially replaced by the Minister-President of Austrovik-Germania as Head of State, and the Premier of the State Council will become the Head of Government. The military and state surveillance force will also come under direct government control.

It is unclear how the vote will go, but the military is backing the move for the removal of the monarchy, as are many of the ministers currently in power. The RepublicNow! group, who have been operating since 2004, also back the Amendments, with an online statement saying this:
"The RepublicNow! political movement has finally managed to come out victorious in a battle it has been fighting for for over a decade: a true, people's republic. We do not disagree that national unity, not class unity, should unify the nation into one divine forcec, but the monarchy is a symbol of oppression, violence and war that we cannot stand by anymore. The socialist utopia envisioned by Max Ernst must be achieved, for the better of all!"

INTERNATIONAL: Gifford talks security in Totzka
Parazina, New Totzka

Prime Minister Eleane Gifford continued her tour of Raedlon this week, visiting Parazina, New Totzka’s capital where she met President Amero and other important Totzkans. On the agenda was regional security, including the recent de-escalation of the situation in Mokov. In addition to this, international crime was discussed with an eye towards more tangibly evaluating the effectiveness of the Multinational Anti-Drug Smuggling Authority (MADSA). MADSA was an organisation set up through the League and introduced by the Ahnslens as a result of the Buzz epidemic.

One of the major focuses of MADSA was in New Totzka, where organised crime is quite common. The outcome of the discussions delivered a very sobering assessment of the organisation, which was highlighted in the joint-press conference between Amero and Gifford which had taken place the prior morning.

“Unfortunately, it seems that the Multinational Anti-Drug Smuggling Authority has been gravely and consistently underperforming in New Totzka. Reform of the organisation and to the wider enforcement framework, which has not been closely examined, for international law seems in order.”, Gifford stated.

Amero announced that the federal police and military authorities have been ordered to improve their collaborative efforts with MADSA, a move likely to irritate many senior officials in the Government. In addition to this, the issue of terrorism and ideological extremism was discussed - particularly that of Rashadah, to which the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to programs which prevented people joining radical extremist organisations.

“Ainslie may be geographically far, but that does not remove any responsibility that we have to ensure that at the absolute least Ahnslens are not being drawn into these extremist cults of death and destruction. Standing here with President Amero, a leader of a nation that is greatly threatened by these adversaries, we solidify our commitment to deradicalisation and the promotion of mental health services which support vulnerable groups in society.”, Gifford remarked at the press conference.

The two delegations also met to discuss the internal situation in New Totzka, in particular its efforts to prevent and eradicate organised crime from the nation, following up from the major theme of the state visit Gifford’s predecessor attended.

Ahnslen business leaders are also set to arrive in Parazina tonight for a formal dinner, just before Gifford departs, to begin discussions with local business owners and to enquire about potential expansions or collaborations between Totzkan and Ahnslen enterprise.

The next stop for Gifford will be Fortaleza, Dragao Do Mar, where she will stay for three days.

DOMESTIC: Buzz investigations tell all
Whistlegang, Ainslie

In what will likely become known as the most consequential raids emerging from the Buzz inquiry, fourteen properties in five different electorates have been searched, leading to 42 arrests. The ARSF, the lead agency of the operation, had their Commanding-General Aaron Drennan hold a press conference with Deputy Prime Minister Thomas Wilton to inform the media and the public of the raids.

“Two nights ago, fourteen properties were raided by a taskforce formed from the ARSF, Federal Police and heavily armed local police which was pursuant to previously classified findings from the Buzz inquiry”, Drennan noted.

Over the past 24 hours, media has been dripfed with a range of statements from various policing and legal institutions surrounding the information which prompted these raids as well as the classified findings of the Buzz inquiry.

“The Buzz inquiry did publicise some of their findings, but what we are learning now is extremely incriminating for a vast cross section of Ahnslen society and is confronting for the rest.”, Jacque Kedana, Associate Professor of Government and Politics at the University of Norlands, remarked.

Two groups have been caught red-handed in the Buzz inquiry, with the investigation being assisted by the Judicial Council’s wide and expansive powers. Both the Disciples of the End and the Brotherhood of the Times that are Nigh, commonly referred to collectively as the ‘Ahnslen Doomsday Cults’ have been accused by the Council of being drugrunners and coordinators of Buzz distribution in Ainslie. Arendai attempted to contact the doomsday cults, but obtained no response or statement on these accusations.

One of the other groups which were implicated in the raids were the Independent Nationalists party, which the Council referred to as “the political facilitators who covered for the doomsday cults”. Judicial-General Joseph Shirazi also confirmed that the party is to be disbanded effective immediately.

“We know that this party is toxic for the Ahnslen democracy. Now we know it has been hurting our nation and is quite likely to be one of the antagonists in Ainslie’s most persistent and severe recent organised crime threat. The Judicial Council is also ready to reveal that the Indenats office was one of the properties that was breached by the ARSF as part of the coordinated raids over the past few days. Following preliminary analysis of evidence in which the Council has been greatly interested in, the JCs have found it appropriate to disband the party effective immediately.”

Arendai, through obtaining a statement from the Independent Nationalists Party, can also confirm that their leader, Lawrence Jackson, has been arrested and remains in prison as a terror suspect - allowing police to detain him for fourteen days without charge. No elections for the seats currently held by the Indenats have been announced yet.

No information has been revealed about who exactly from the doomsday cults has been detained, or of any further investigations by the Buzz inquiry or enforcement agencies.

More to come as we get it.
