Indecision in Norlands
Between the past election and now, Norlandic politics has become a lot less clear. Following what is essentially the collapse of the APC, whom Norlanders broadly supportd, they now have the choice between the Indenats whose immigration and cultural policies don’t sit well with the electorate, a new and relatively unproven Ahnited party, the STP which has rarely gotten more than two seats in the election, or ACEGAD who have fielded a very popular figure in Norlands to be the country’s PM if they win. Regardless, many voters will likely have to adjust their voting behaviours following all the changes we have seen over the past two years.

The division around a mine
The division of Ashven in regional Dallama, similarly to Rathane’s Elwin, has a very core issue which the constituency attach significant weight to their vote on. Unemployment in rural Dallama is higher than in many other parts of the country and it could certainly be considered as one of the region’s most negatively impacted by the shift in the economy away from mining and agriculture. The Arenden mine remains a highly controversial issue in the nation yet there is very much clarity in the immediate locales of the mine of their overwhelming support. However, approval of this new coal mine could be disastorous for a party at a federal level, especially for ACEGAD or the STP whose voters tend to be active environmentalists. Kenzai’s ACEGAD has had the position of supporting it if it has ‘a strong economic and scientific case for it’ whilst the STP has not commented on the issue specifically. Ahnited is also undecided but the Indenats have announced their support for it.

ACEGAD taking risks in marginal Hale
Hale, centred on the city of Watarah, is held by APC candidate Jake Allaren by a margin of 1.3% making it one of the more marginal seats in Ainslie and the second most marginal in Burnett. Yet ACEGAD don’t seem to be fazed with the potential that the seat could swing away from them more, potentially towards the Ahnited party. They have parachuted in Olivia Hughes who moved from Southern Wesland about a year ago. She has been relentlessly campaigning since the elction was announced three weeks ago with polling typing the seat to be close, with bizarre preference deals in the division offsetting ACEGAD’s high primary vote.

Will religion influence this election?
With Ainslie being overwhelmingly Whindist, the assumption would be that many elections are won and lost on the basis of religion. The reality is that this election is likely to be the closest a religious party, or one with a sizeable religious faction, has been to being a real threat to secular parties in over half a century. Yet the elements of this party are not Whindist and that’s an important point to note - they are moreso Baptist and Catholic in nature. So that begs the question, Why isn’t Whindism represented? Well, whindism, whether you see it as such or not, is weaved into the cultural fabric of Ainslie - there’s no need to have a party when Whindist values are almost equivalent to Ahnslen values and vice versa. To that end, yes - religion will be an influence this election - just like it has every other election yet not in the conventional way we would see it. With Ahnited’s Christian Democrats noticeably quiet, this influence will likely remain somewhat covert in nature.

On the ACEGAD campaign launch…
In the face of threats from bothsides of the political spectrum, the ruling centrist party had its campaign launch today. For the first time in ACEGAD’s history, the gathering was located in Norlands, away from the typical voter base for the party. Party faithful still turned out in droves and its leadership made very well known the achievements and stability the nation has had under ACEGAD rule, glossing over some of the extreme measures that the Government has taken. Former leaders were wheeled out for appearances and speeches, most notably Archer Conder, who has been referred to as the most talented economic leader in modern Ahnslen history, and Lachlan Stratten who holds a similar legacy. A notable absence was Eleanor Renten, the PM before Kenzai and a personal friend of his.

The optics looked good for ACEGAD - they, much like the other parties, have adjusted their branding this election and the launch event couldn’t be more obvious about that fact. They clearly want to rebrand themselves as the party that serves both Arborai and Arnton. However in order to do this, they will have to rewrite a lot of westerners’ memories for the change in rhetoric to have any electoral effect west of the tablelands.

[Paratan]

Suicide Bombing in Koropiko

Earlier this morning, an SUV, equipped with a car bomb, exploded on a busy street in Koropiko. The attack is one of a political standpoint, as the driver of the car, who died shortly after the explosion, was a stubborn Democratic Party member, which has been favoring ousting King Wilfrith V since early January of 2018. The attack killed 5 people, not including Woodrow Strickland, the driver of the vehicle.

The blast happened on a street in which Wilfrith's motorcade was going through. Luckily, due to mistiming of the bomb, the SUV was about a mile and a half from it's intended target, heading in the opposite way. Strickland, who was released from Mental Custody last month, is known for his insanity. Prior to being put into the MC, he had temporarily hijacked Paratan Airlines 312 heading into Jose-Paratan International. At age 25, he is now one of the youngest people to make an assassination attempt on a high Paratanian, and the only to do so on the King as of present.

A victim of the blast was Johnnie William, known by his stage name "Dona Rooney", a famous actor and musician, starring in hit TV Sitcom Freunde as Corey Maynard, a 28 year old womanizer, and well acclaimed for the current number one song on Paratun Top 100, Sweet Home Paratan (ft. Asgeir Lehr), and well-acclaimed radio host Emmalyn Wang, who hosts The Evening Show at 6 PM on PANR. A memorial service for those who lost their lives will be held on the 25th of June.

This is the third-deadliest attack in Paratan since independence in 1964, with the deadliest being Paratun Airlines Flight 606, which was hijacked and crashed into the Mesder in 1975, killing 187, and second-deadliest being the shooting at the Old Towne Independence Festival in 1982, killing 32.

His Highness Wilfrith V has been put under max security, with the King's Royale Guard being deployed to lock down the Royal Palace.

On the issue of the declaration of state of emergency
"I understand that dissolving the Grand Court vote has been the first in Roendavar in about a decade. It was a tough decision, and one that was not well-received by both the Lower and Upper Court. I assure the people that my decision was not made to undermine the democratic processes in the country, rather, I chose to do it to protect our country. On the topic of the state of emergency itself, I have chosen to put it forward due to the circumstances our country faces. The disappearances are not to be taken lightly. The declaration of emergency only entails an increased security on our populace and will not supercede any laws that we already have put in place. Still, despite the declaration, I advise the Roendavarians to remain vigilant.

On the government's inaction
"Even that has baffled me. We have lost almost 50 people to the disappearances and still the Grand Court refuses to budge. I sense something deeper at play here. Even my "traditional" allies in the government have prevented any efforts to be poured, and I fear for the worst. The Lower Court has shown some hope with a few representatives supporting my decisions. However, the Upper Court, the four Presidents, are a major hinderance, espcially the Presidents of Andavar, Sudever, and Vastaros. I have asked all of them if there has been any secrets kept from me, and all three of them have given me nothing. Only Lady Teodora of Tillianan has given me an answer, and a vague one at that. She told me of "a power bides its time in Roendavar, your highness, and it shall bring something evil to the world."

On talks of government conspiracy and involvement
"I cannot support nor deny those claims. Believe it or not, I know nothing of my government's plans, nor are they privy to such information even to their ruling monarch. I am not here to sow the seeds of doubt in my own country, therefore, I cannot give the notions merit but, I will say this, the Roendavarian people might be on to something. It is definitely strange that even the highest of the government are not sharing information to me, the monarch. Records are also suspiciously being moved out of the Royal Archives and I have yet to hear about the location they have been moved to. I am to not doubt my own officials, no, that is not something I must do now. However, given enough suspicions, perhaps it is time that I call upon them and rein them in. Trust that I shall get to the bottom of this, one way or another, with or without the help of the international community."

On the disappearances
"There's something sinister at play here. All the disapperances are not coincidences and are definitely not a fault by natural causes. These are perpetuated by humans, and the patterns definitely support that idea. They weren't isolated incidents either as they have also spread through Vastaros and Tillianan. What I fear the most is that they seem to have no specifics whatsoever. Just mindless disappearances without any sort of pattern rather than a fixed time and location. This is a full-blown emergency and we shall get to the bottom of this issue. Meanwhile, I would advise the people to remain on guard the following days. That is all I can say for now. I cannot give the people any assurances that the cases shall be solved in the following days nor can I assure them that answers shall be put into light anytime soon. All I can say is that we are doing the best we can to ensure the safety of the people."

On Roendavar in general
"Roendavar is doing quite well despite our current predicaments. Our economic growth is still stable and we continue to be one of the best performing countries in world. We are doing our part in maintaining the environment, both locally and internationally, and we shall continue to protect the environment wherever it may be needed. Even though we have an ongoing state of emergency, all events that shall take place in Roendavar would still commence, for example, the Pride Month Celebrations in Brojcia, any future Gael Cup events, and any international summits and meetings. Let us not let misery remove the spirit of Roendavar. That shall be all."

Despite the country's state of emergency, Pride Month celebrations still commenced in different parts of the country. Millions of people throughout the country went outside and joined in the festivities, especially in the capital city of Dociara, where Pride Month Celebrations were done alongside the Festival of the God of Merriment, Coastari, last June 20. The Aruian LGBT Cruise ship has also docked in Brojcia, Sudever on June 17 and has remained in the port for a few days after a cancelled celebration in Tillanora City.

The LGBTQQIP2SAA has always been an important part of Roendavarian Culture. Roendavar prides itself as one of the most accepting and liberal countries in the Western Isles and it can be well-observed through the country's culture. The LGBTQQIP2SAA played a major role in the country's formation of culture and history. Examples of this can be seen in the country's religion where romances between genders both alike and different are prominent, in historical figures such as the Inoraclos, a prophet-like figure who pose as both male and female, the Manferios Rite, where soldiers from Vartas are encouraged to have sexual relations with their male comrades, and several others. The 1874 constitution of Roendavar even acknowledges the existence of the LGBTQQIP2SAA and has included it within the constitution, rendering it an integral part in the country's identity and legislature. As such, both culturally and legally, the community has always been accepted in the country.

Of course, that does not mean it has always been smoth sailing for the community. With the collapse of the Empire of Daciara and the establishment of four independent countries, the Theocracy of Tillianan made homosexuality punishable by death while Vastaros outlawed homosexuality, with punishments ranging from fines to imprisonment. Today, Vastaros has been accepting, although their government's views can be described as tolerant, and the Tillanorai government are still fierce opponents of the community. In Tillianan, however, several youth groups have protested regarding the country's attitude, with some even resulting in riots.

The Aruian LGBT cruise ship was supposed to dock in Tillanora in order to start the Roendavarian segment of the celebrations on June 17. Despite the scheduled celebrations, members of the Church of Tillianan blockaded the Port of Entarios and even threatened violence. Clashes erupted between the church forces and protesters which resulted in 27 people being injured. The Aruian LGBT Cruise Ship instead docked in Brojcia, which has long been regarded as the party city of Roendavar and resumed the celebrations there.

Consul Samantha Hartega Lands In Nhoor

Earlier today Consul Hartega's jet landed in Nhoor in order to discuss a number of topics involving the two nations, primary on the list being increased cooperation between nations on Raedlon.

We will likely learn more about the meeting at an upcoming press conference, until then we will have to wait.

Führer falls ill - Suspected Poisoning!

| This morning, the Rijkscabinet issued a severe and defiant statement about the most excellent Führer's health, afternoon a dinner party in Auchen last night:

'After a dinner party involving members of the Rijkscabinet and the Rijkswehr in the city of Auchen, the Führer was rushed to hospital at around midnight after suffering from severe nausea and vomiting fluids which contained strains of blood. It is unclear what caused the sudden change in health - His Excellency Adolf von Hersmann was in good shape for his age of 52. However, all precautions have been taken, and doctors have began extensive research into the previous fortnight to understand what the Führer has done to cause this sudden downfall in physical wellbeing.

All members of the staff that served the food have been detained, and one of them, a university student named Luwick Boltke-Kresnau, has confessed allegiance to the Austrovik Sozialbolschewistische Partei (ASP - Austrovik Social Bolshevik Party). The meals he served the Führer are being examined by forensic scientists to see if any poison or toxin was used against the glorious Führer during this party.

The Rijkscabinet, whilst the Führer remains ill, has made the decision, with the Führer's guidance, to select the Rijksminister des Innenraums (Rijksminister of Interior), Lutz Georg Thierack as the Interim Minister-President and Führer until Adolf von Hersmann is back to good health. We are also issuing an accusation to the People's Republic of Thuzbekistan for supporting this attempted assassination.

| Further scientific research has concluded that the Beef Lunarch (a traditional Austrovik beef-related meal) served to Adolf von Hersmann by Boltke-Kresnau contained traces of highly concentrated Arsenic, and as a result suspect the Führer to sadly pass away within 72 hours.

First Statement from Acting Minister-President and Führer

| After the incident of the Dinner Party Poisoning settled, the newly declared Acting Führer, Lutz Georg Thierack, made his first ever statement outside the Rijkstag, with crowds of thousands of people gathering in Heilsplatz (Salvation Square) to celebrate his ascension to power many waved banners of the old Holy Austren Confederation, and others held up boards with remark such as "Der nieuwe Koning der Erlösung" (The new King of Salvation) and other pictures of Thierack. This is what the speech contained:

'I have very long and progressive footsteps to follow in, my brothers and sisters of the Rijk. I do not intend to remove what the great and valiant Adolf von Hersmann began, but I also do not intend to follow the exact same path. I stand before you today in celebration of what we have created as a mighty Volk, but also to remind you that we have much more work to do.

Our greatest rivals, despite being visible to the naked eye, have been hidden by the shadow of socialism and liberalism to the point where we have forgotten our enemies. The previous liberal governments tried so hard to hide the fact they were just the same as the catastrophe that was the Third Austrovik Republic, and the disgusting defeat of the great Volk due to their own incompetence to the Confederate Monarchy of Belle Ilse en Terre - of whom which Austrovik-Germania had so much more power over up until that point.

May I also remind you that these liberal governments were also the ones to end the great brotherhood that was the Austrovik colonial empire, and subsequently the Östrenrijk Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft [Austren Economic Community] between the Kingdom of Paratan, Austrovik-Germania and the Kingdom of Havalland. This disgusting and purposeful removal of Austrovik influence which has kept the peace in the Mesder Sea for so long must be reversed by us. The worker and the farmer. The Mother and the Daughter. The sun sets over Ellsburgh, Federal District, on the evening of Saturday, June 22, 2019

ELLSBURGH (FBCA)- On the evening of Friday, June 21, a plane landed in Ellsburgh. A fleet of black automobiles and swarms of nondescript men wearing Special Security badges covered the tarmac as the plane’s staircase was unfolded. Out stepped President Alasdair Hallowell, just returned from a meeting of ALDRATO leaders in Totzka, who waved and flashed a broad smile before disappearing into a limousine.

It is an interesting time for the President to be smiling. On Wednesday, Rep. Torquil Chatto (F-Warenne Island), the presiding officer of the Chamber of Representatives, announced that impeachment proceedings would begin against Treasury Secretary Walton Balliol after a federal court invalidated President Hallowell’s Executive Order 18331, issued on May 28, which would have allowed the Treasury to borrow unlimited amounts of money without congressional consent.

As Balliol clings to office, events in the sudden impeachment drama have taken another unexpected turn, with Rep. Chatto’s announcement on Saturday afternoon of his retirement effective July 10. Chatto, a 2010 presidential candidate and turncoat- he ran as the AMP’s nominee before switching parties after his lost- has proven to be one of the Hallowell administration’s most powerful Federalist opponents in Congress. His departure opens up the prospect of a long and damaging contest to replace him as leader of Almorea’s lower house, an immensely influential position that includes control over annual budgets.

As Congress and the nation’s top fiscal officer come to blows, new data has revealed a surprising economic uptick, with GDP rising to $609.1 billion, about a $1.4 billion increase, and the unemployment rate dropping to 12.8% in the second quarter of 2019. President Hallowell was quick to credit the good news to his administration’s pursuit of free trade deals in the Isles.

Responding to a shouted question about the economy at Carldon Hall on Saturday evening, the President pointed to the much-vaunted ATAFTA deal with Totzka, negotiated in December 2018. “The cash is rolling in,” the President said. “It’s rolling in. It’s like you’d see in a music video, you know, where the singer is throwing dollar bills around. Maybe it took a little time, but the economy will take off like a rocket. You’ll see.”

In recent weeks, the Hallowell administration has lurched unsteadily between public relations victories and tense crises that have the potential to spiral into catastrophes. President Hallowell has been increasingly self-confident, especially with regard to the ongoing Wake Islands dispute that has pitted the government of Polar Svalbard against forces of dissent on islands that lie relatively close to Almorean waters. On June 9, after reports of Svalbardian naval movements, the President tweeted a warning to “watch out!”, sending diplomats scrambling to calm nerves.

Since the now-infamous tweet, the Hallowell administration has supported Totzkan naval movements aimed against Polar Svalbard, with the War Department announcing that two Almorean guided missile frigates, the Excalibur and the Sea Dragon, will join vessels of the Totzkan navy on patrol in the North Mesder Sea.

While the AMP has lined up cautiously behind the President over his handling of the Wake situation, Federalists have pilloried him for conducting foreign policy by tweet. News that the Svalbardian government is now conducting a diplomatic peace tour through Raedlon, visiting Nhoor on Sunday, has been greeted with silence by the administration but with rejoicing by Federalists who have cautioned loudly against stumbling into war.

Another point of contention between the branches of government that looms large in the summer of 2019 is the budget. Although the current budget will fund the government until April 2020, discussions to pen the next authorization act typically begin in July or August of the preceding year.

President Hallowell has already called for an increase in federal spending in the next fiscal year, specifically to fund expanded social programs and give Almorean welfare agencies a boost. Although the invalidated Executive Order 18331 was intended to serve as the main mechanism for these spending splurges, Carldon Hall has made clear that it expects Congress to endorse “at least $300 million more” for the Pension Security Corporation, an agency which shriveled under the Manners administration from 2011 to 2017.

The Hallowell administration also plans to seek hundreds of millions of dollars to expand STEM education programs and beef up regulatory bodies. Federalists, meanwhile, want billions more for the military- specifically the Navy, where hawks in the Senate have long dreamed of building another assault carrier. There is also the issue of the impending 2020 Census, which will require at least $200 million, on top of the $80 million already appropriated, to be implemented effectively.

Political analysts say that this combination of factors- an improving economy and a weakened Federalist leadership combined with chaos at the Treasury and foreign tensions- will likely combine to produce a summer of political dysfunction and deadlock of the kind rarely seen even in Almorea, a country notorious for partisan squabbling. And there are more potential powder kegs on the horizon- the situation in Yhaiva and a related investigation into the Justice Department, to name two.

Impeachment hearings against Treasury Secretary Balliol will begin on Monday, shining the spotlight on the Palace of Congress for the first brawl of many this summer.

Paratan Airlines Flight 105

This afternoon, Magadalena Glover would board an aircraft for the last time.

Glover, age 32, had booked a one-way ticket to Brulafi. Glover has no criminal record and has never voted in an election. As the Paratan Soen 5 was waiting at the gate under the command of Captain Andre Pozlin and First Officer Ase Gibbs. The Soen 5, registration PR-7RS, had recently had an incident where the left engine shut off over the Mesder Sea; none were hurt.

The flight took off at 3:32 Paratanic Time. At 3:35, it had passed over the end of the Paratanic Territorial Waters.

At 3:37, the plane was veered off course; it is thought that Glover had hijacked the full 330-person seater Soen 5. The series of events, as recorded by the CVR and FDR, is as follows:

At 3:46, the plane would crash into Paratanic Bay, killing all 330 souls on board. This crash has been seen by the Paratanic Government as one of attack against the Monarch, and the Monarchy has declared war against the Democratic Front at 5:00 today. [Polar Svalbard]

Consul Samantha Hartega's Day In A Nutshell

Today our Consul Adstutia had a large amount of affairs to attend to. Arriving in Nhoor bright and early she was greeted by Nhoor's First Minister Sanhad Bōra, Defence minister Ta̦nhod Ƨɵ̦jely, and Nhoor's acting head of state His Relevancy Ōphɵd Carōmhīqh. After having a small luncheon press was allowed into a meeting between the four.

The meeting mostly resolved around strong commitments that Polar Svalbard had no ill intentions towards Nhoor in regards to what's happening in Wake Atolla. Along with that it was agreed that Polar Svalbard had the situation there under control. Furthermore the meeting went a bit into a possible economic organization between nations in Raedlon, although it was agreed to put it on hold until tomorrow so as to allow the nation's ministers of foreign and economic affairs to attend. Other topics were discussed and can be found in the full transcript attached down below.

After some really good photo ops the Consul retired to the embassy. (The Consul stays in the ambassador's quarters which works well giving the ambassador a quick reprieve back to the homeland) Later in the day there was a dinner that press was not able to attend.

Consul Klark Zeltargo Gives Statement On Situation in Paratan

With recent events in Paratan, Consul Bellum Klark Zeltargo has stated that Polar Svalbard will be keeping a close eye on the situation.

This comes at a bad time as Polar Svalbard seeks to set up more stability in Raedlon and seeks to establish an economic organization to tie the area together more. In light of this the Consul Adstutia's office stated that the planned visit to Paratan by the Consul Adstutia will be put on hold until the situation in the nation clears up.

NO NEW INFORMATION ON CONSTITUTION'S CONTENTS ONE WEEK INTO CONFERENCE

SHUHAKALLU - A week since the start of Mênna Shuli’s constitutional conference, scarce information has reached the public regarding the current status of the constitution’s form. Insiders and experts are claiming that the Sâtêp is maintaining a strict closed-door policy in the conference, although its known that the primary goals laid out on the first day of the conference are to create an “official , documented government framework which maintains the distinct character and values of the Mênnan people while also ensuring the rigorous standards of a modern, societally-compatible world-state.”

Political analysts and scholars from around the country are theorizing about what this means in the context of officializing a Mênnan constitution, with many stating that a moderate approach is likely.

“It’s most probable that the differing opinions of the Sâtêp political schools will lead to a document that merely states in writing what has been maintained through tradition and practice,” Kiavêvit Kinikiw, ivi of the Shuâ tribe, has stated. “Without a dramatic shake-up, I doubt that we will see a substantial change to the workings of the government.”

Constitutionalism has always had an association with low-caste enfranchisement movements, however. Crime statistics in the Twin Cities area provided by the Prince-Constubulary of Shuhakallu reveal far greater than normal public gatherings and demonstrations by low-caste rights movements, especially those associated with last year’s protests which led to the assassination of the first ‘uhitap a Tempore, Hitap Tatta Ushu. Terrorist organization Nâtkut Sumi has demanded that the constitution recognize voting rights for the low castes, and that the constitution further removes “princely hegemony in the legislative and executive process of the Mênnan state.” This has prompted outcry from vêhitap'at traditionalist movements outside of the government, who have demanded that like-minded senators immediately withdraw from the constitutional conference in protest of “systems and structures that support terrorist ideologies.” Traditionalist senators have not made open statements in response.

Meanwhile, some have demanded an increased role of the priestly and judicial castes in the government. Several major Kihêspê Mênna have stated that a modern judiciary and legislative review process will be a requirement moving forward once a constitution is formalized, and that the constitution should reflect as such. Meanwhile, specific princely and priestly organizations have called for the constitution to formalize the 'unuxâ as a state religion for the nation and to involve priests in the legislative process to ensure that all legislation conforms the traditions of the faith. There has been growing support for this religious viewpoint amongst the populace, many of whom are criticizing an overly westernized and secular government in the past decades.

Pride Parade Cut Short By Attack
Even though martial law has been declared in Enchanta, people are still taking the time to celebrate Pride month. For the past few weeks members of the LGBT+ community have been participating in parades, lighting fireworks and other festivities. These events always have police presence incase anything goes wrong. Last Saturday, June 15th, there was a parade in Hopeworth with hundreds of people. They had marched from the Equality Council office to Dovelet Road which took 30 minutes, before an explosion happened. It seems as though one of the marchers had stepped on a minefield. The police rushed to help the injured, while 120 people were already dead. Currently, that number has increased to 200. Apparently someone had placed a minefield on Dovelet Road two hours prior to the march. An officer by the name of Daniel Howe commented on the situation.

“I sympathize with the family and friends of these marchers. It’s painful to think that my son could have been killed here if he was only a few years older. We are trying to get justice, however this is a difficult case. We can’t figure out if this is a homophobic serial killer or an actual war attack”

Svalbardian Journalists Missing.
In late May, Consul Adstudia from Polar Svalbard announced that journalists would be sent to Enchanta to gather information on the current situation. A total of 10 journalists were sent here on June 3rd. They toured Enchanta, escorted by military officials and were scheduled to leave at the end of this month. However, on June 12th, 3 journalists went missing as they were heading back to their hotel. Last week this picture was sent to a government computer

SNN Journalists Missing!

We have received news that three journalists our station sent to Enchanta to help provide reports on the situation in Enchanta for the news have gone missing. While seven are luckily safe and sound and are immediately being brought home to us we have no news on the others. The three missing are Vollrat Holmqvist, Lykke Sjöberg, and Kosyak Vasil. We are praying for their safe return and will keep you updated as we gain more info.

If the worst is confirmed and they are being held hostage, SNN WILL PAY FOR THEIR SAFE RETURN. We do not wish to see any harm come to our brave journalists. Recently in the world there has been more and more attacks against journalists and we hope that our comrades across the Isles stay safe.

The Consul Bellum released a statement today that he is confident in Enchanta's ability to find and return the journalists to us but stated that he will be establishing talks in order to consider Svalbardian action in the conflict. He stated that it may be time for a peacekeeping effort to bring stability back to the nation.

The last remark was met with criticism as Polar Svalbard is engaged in a number of issues at the moment and it was met with praise too, but we will see what comes in the future.

Talks In Nhoor Continue

Today the Consul Adstutia will continue talks in Nhoor, these will be on the subject of increased economic cooperation between Raedlon nations as the government hopes to sidestep the conflicts its involved in to push economic interests in the area.

When asked about the protests going on the Consul Adstutia laughed. "It is nice to see people so politically involved. I remember when I was young and I was out there protesting about the environment. I hope though that these protesters understand that what's going on is just business. I understand where they are coming from and I've talked to my fellow Consul about the issue with the bombing. He is in agreement that the statement issued was too callous and the military is going to be trying to prevent something like that happening again. For now though I hope the people here enjoy the beautiful weather. A clear sky is rare here but it truly is beautiful."

We shall see how the talks go but it seems the Consul is hopeful that the economic discussions will proceed smoothly.

State President Condemns Attack, Foreign Secretariat Closes Off Paratan Travel

TURBAY- The people of Brulafi remain in shock today after news spread of the hijacking and crashing of Paratan Airlines Flight 105 in what the Comrade State President has referred to as "a desperate act, driven by a misguided vision of political action" taken by "a group of neoliberal agitators." The attack, perpetrated by a group known as the "Democratic Front of Paratan," killed all 330 passengers on board Flight 105 to Turbay. 44 of these passengers were Brulafi, including a returning group of university students on a school trip. Vigils in their memory have been established. The nation of Paratan was thrown into chaos as a result of this attack, with the monarchy in power beginning to wage a counter-insurgency (COIN) operation against the Front. A media blackout has ensued, meaning that news from Paratan regarding the civil strife there is sparse; however, it is widely assumed by foreign policy experts such as Arran University's Peter Solmheim that the outbreak of a full-scale civil war is inevitable.

At 5:38 PM local time Monday, a TATI-10 Skyferry belonging to the Revolutionary Defence Air Force arrived at Marshal Samuel Dudley International Airport in Turbay, escorted by a squadron of Wasp fighter jets. Aboard the cargo jet were the remains of those comrades who were so mercilessly slain in the attack, sealed in metal caskets to be given proper state funerals in the Hero's Cemetery on Turbay Peak. The Presidium of the General Assembly of Brulafi has already passed a measure to begin selecting architects to begin construction for a new monument in the cemetery to the dead. Carmo Orbital Monitoring Station, 2:00 PM CNT Following the successful completion of the CSJSS this Spring, CALA director Elisabet Porras has announced that the first orbital vehicle carrying Svalbardian Astronaut Mikhel Vesik and Corindi Astronaut Monica Noguera has safely docked with the station. The vehicle, which contains supplies as well as the first of the experiments to be performed on the station, will be docked for three weeks, after which it will return the Astronauts back to the Earth. The purpose for the abnormally short visit is to ensure that the station is safe and comfortable for long term habitation, as well as the lack of equipment currently on the station, which will be built up in the coming months as more supply missions are completed.

President Abelló congratulated the Astronauts via live satellite call before publicly commending their bravery and expertise in a statement released after the announcement of the successful docking of the orbital vehicle. He continued to reaffirm Corindi support for Polar Svalbard and other MSTO nations, and encouraged the regional community to set aside their differences and work together to foster scientific and cultural connections. President Abelló's comments come on the heels of a Miklanian jet being shot down by Thuzbekistan, as well as the ongoing conflict in Wake Atolla, and served to emphasize Corindia's continued support of its allies.

The presence of Astronaut Monica Noguera, Corindia's third woman in space and the first to spend any time in residence on an orbital station, has been celebrated by many Corindi organizations and associations, and has led to the Astronaut becoming something of an idol for many young Corindi girls who may wish to travel to space, perhaps even the moon or mars, following their education.

Federal Police seizes 450kg of cocaine in the helicopter of a cousin of federal deputy Luiz Fiuza (PCC)

A operation of the Federal Police confiscated yesterday, in the countryside of Parangaba, an helicopter carrying 450kg of cocaine. According to the captain of the operation, the vehicle's trunk was fully loaded with the drug.

The security agents intercepted the vehicle during its refuelling in a abandoned hangar in the Parangaban highland, close to the town of Morro Grande. The Federal Police was hired by the Provincial Police of Parangaba, that, in the last month started to notice a helicopter perfoming weekly travels, flying in low altitude to avoid aerial radars. Yesterday, the joint action localized the field were the aircraft performed its landing during the night, and waited for the arrival of the drug dealers. The vehicle had a modern equipment for nocturnal navigation.

The owner of the helicopter was sent to prision. He was Danilo Fiuza, who is a cousin of the federal deputy Luiz Fiuza of the Catholic Conservative Party (PCC). He was in his house at the Linda Praia district, a noble area of the Meireles city, when federal agents executed the warrant of arrest. The pilot and the copilot were arrested in the moment of the police approach.

The police suspects that the cocaine comes from the Totzkan Union, probably from the territory of Yhaiva, but they don't know yet if there's a specific traffic organization responsible for the product. Acoording to the copilot, who was pressed to confess, the helicopter had as destination the city of Santiago, in Aldeota.

SCD ANNOUNCES NEW MICROCHIP

SIRIUS - SCD, Scantarbia’s premier microchip manufacturer, this morning, releases the ultimate evolution of their 3rd-gen Leviathan 3xxx-series processor. The Leviathan 3600E (shortened to L 3600E). The processor utilizes SCD’s next-generation 7nm Leviathan architecture and is equipped with 12-cores and 24-threads for a fair price for its power, which sits at ℵ499. The release ceremony took place on SCD's Exhibition Building, where they usually held a tech expo on January each year. The ceremony was attended by SCD's entire managerial staffs and press members from all across the region.

After a lengthy development which was also supported and assisted together alongside SC2M (Scantarbia Consortium of SuperConductor Manufacturers), SCD managed to produce a processor that is not only cheap and less power hungry but also more powerful than what is currently available on the commercial market. Clocking at the base frequency of 3.9 GHz, the E-suffix means that the processor is equipped with SCD’s ACT (Automatic Clock Toggling), providing a boost frequency at 4.8 GHz while still operating on “only” 105 watts of power.

The processor also utilizes the PCIe 4.0 technology that also comes in SCD’s newly introduced motherboard, the Phoenix 380 and will also be further propped-up with SCD’s new Medusa GPU that will be released (hopefully) later this year. Andrew Faulkner, CEO of SCD, said during the release ceremony that the L 3600E will be SCD’s “flagship high-performance consumer CPU for the 3rd-generation Leviathan family”, and it is true, the L 3600E is truly a game changer on the microchip industry throughout the region. So far, no other manufacturer has been able to release to the market an affordable 7nm processor for the regular consumer market. With the upcoming PCIe 4.0 products (also by SCD) started to flood the consumer market, we can expect to see SCD products taking most of the market share, for now at least.

Monitoring the TWItter, we can see that there are a lot of gamers looking forward to purchasing the processor for their rig, and they also look forward to what will be available to the software sector following such a tremendous hardware advancement in the computing sector. While there is no clear answer for sure about where will the future will take us, but we believe that the future will be an exciting one. Researchers also look forward to the enhanced computing capability provided by this processor to support their research on automation and AI, especially on self-driving capability currently being developed by a Scantarbian-based automobile manufacturer that name doesn't want to be mentioned.

A New Peace in Our Time!

| This evening, the Rijksminister der Internationalen Angelegenheiten [International Affairs], Konstantin Frick, arrived in the Rijkstag in a parade of cars waving a collection of documents and papers, along with a group of delegates who had been working alongside him for the great Rijk of Austrovik-Germania. This forty-seven page long document, along with two other separate documents, intertwine the Saxon Rijk of Austrovik-Germania and also the Federation of Balnik, a country which operates with similar beliefs of international prosperity and progress with society.

| This is an extract given by the Rijksminister in his speech:

'It is clear to the Rijk, and the Federation of Balnik, that we both strive in the absolute and concrete belief that the whole of the Western Isles should be crowned with the jewels of international peace, prosperity, and a sense of Volkist community. On the 28^th of June 2019, the Federation and the Saxon Rijk have signed these forty-seven pages terms and agreements to formerly create the Confederation of Sovereign States and the Pact of Friendship between both our two great nations. The aims of these agreements is to create an international trading organisation, which shares its own court of justice and frictionless trade between member states, and also more convenient flow of peoples between member states, with CSS Nationals only needing minimal VISA requirements to pass through member state borders. The Pact of Friendship refers to that of Balnik and Austrovik-Germania alone, and allows for greater military interconnectedness and an easy passing of military information. This marks a new peace in our time.

Customs Tight After Suicide Bombing in Auchen Intrnl. Airport

| In the early hours of this morning, the Auchen International Airport was struck by a suicide bomber in Terminal 2, which killed three people and injured seventeen. Thankfully, emergency services were able to tackle the damage with incredible courage and speed, doing their duty to the Volk perfectly.

| The bomber, whose name is not yet known, had reportedly pledged allegiance to the socialist cause, before detonated IEDs within his clothing, blowing himself up. The terrorist had arrived from a flight, however the Ordnungspolizei are still investigating the flight he took to Austrovik-Germania and where it was from. However, judging by his motives, the OrPo have made the conclusion that the attacker was clearly influenced by a nation that has socialist or liberal tendencies, and as a result, have only allowed citizens of these nations to enter Austrovik-Germania if they have a correct entry permit and work card - the latter if they chose to do business within the Rijk:

Rijkswehr Pleads for Right to Save Paratanic Order

| After news of civil unrest in the Kingdom of Paratan, a former Autrovik colony and ally, the Rijkswehr High Command, headed by the Führer, has called for Austrovik-Germania to defend the rights of German-speaking peoples within the island, and to support the Paratanic Government in this dire international emergency.

| The horrific events happening in the island Kingdom could lead to the oppression of the German-speakers on the island, which for over a century have existed in peace since the colonisation of the island by Austrovik-Germania in the late 19^th century. The civil war appears to be an armed conflict between the Paratanic government (backed by the Royal Armed Militia) and the so-called Democratic Front. The Saxon Rijk has demanded that no foreign power apart from our great nation gets involved in the conflict, as it could result into an escalation of violence. Austrovik-Germania is seeking to simply to protect the Germanic culture on the island.

| The so-called Democratic Front has been accused of being under the influence of socialist powers by the Austrovik-Government and the Rijkswehr demands that either a peace deal be reached by the 1^st of July or that the Rijkswehr is allowed to station troops in Germanic areas of the island.

Cado Regional NPF Headquarters, 7:00 PM CNT A raid by the STV division of the NPF carried out at 3:24 AM last night rescued over 76 Hacopare Iza women and girls from a human trafficking ring. Some of the victims recovered from the two warehouse buildings they were held captive in had been missing for over seven years, and ranged in age from 44 to 11 years old. The raid took place two months after massive protests in central Corindia lambasted the government for what was perceived as a lack of action to address the thousands of missing, murdered, or trafficked indigenous Iza women, who are kidnapped or murdered at a rate 5 times higher than Corindi women of European origin.

Although the rescue of the missing women has been celebrated by Iza activists in Corindia, many are calling it "too little, too late" and claiming that "these operations were only undertaken after they were shamed for inaction, and represent only a start" (Corindi Institution for the Hacopare Iza). Some activists estimate that there are still over 25,000 Hacopare Iza victims of human trafficking in Corindia and the region as a whole, although the Corindi government disputes these numbers.

Although the identities of the victims have not been released for their protection, the NPF has begun the process of returning the victims to their families, and has pledged to assist them in re-integrating into Corindi society through methods that have not yet been released. The identities and number of the traffickers arrested during the raid has not yet been released, although the NPF has stated that "the perpetrators will be prosecuted immediately and to the full extend of the law" (Cado Regional Police Chief Marin Franco).

Ceasefire in Paratan

After 7 days of fighting, and after the Battle of Koropiko, the Royal Armed Militia and the Democratic Front have declared a ceasefire. In the ceasefire agreement, both sides agreed to not fire at one another until a peace treaty can be signed. As of right now, the agreement also establishes two de facto states in Paratan, the Kingdom and the Republic, until the peace treaty is signed.

The people of Havalland have shown an unwavering support for the monarchy in Paratan, to the point that a man named Jeremiah Dobenai, a wealthy business owner, started a propaganda campaign to spread a monarchist message.

This went as far as painting the message on trade ships heading to Paratan.
Some of these included "Democracy, a stone in the road to communism." Or "don't destroy culture, support your government."
One of his future plans is to air drop these flyers into Paratan and other monarchs, being a known supporter of the Royal Union, a suggested alliance with the monarchies.

Wesland in focus
If there is any chance for an Ahnited Government to hold an outright majority, it will have to at least have a good performance in Wesland. There are normally thirty seats on offer in Wesland, however, this year due to population shifts, a redistribution has occured whereby Wesland has two additional seats on offer - more on this later. The current breakdown in Wesland has ACEGAD holding 22 of these seats - yet many of these seats are vulnerable to swings towards another viable centrist party, such as the Ahniteds. The recent electoral election packages a tough challenge for the parties - with the popular Brianna Hailes surging to victory only months ago. Along with Wilton, they form a powerful campaigning tool in Wesland.

However, a strong focus on the west leading up to this election possibly leaves ACEGAD vulnerable in Wesland. As for the CRC in Wesland, it seems that their days are certainly numbered with a well financed and popular independent likely to take their Upper Wesland seat. Wesland remains as the most supportive electorate to ACEGAD’s cause, even despite strong swings against the party.

The two new seats
There’s two new seats in contention at the 2019 elections - both of them are in Wesland, both of them being eyed as the jewel in the crown of parties who seek to win big this eletion. Kareenda - centred around the working class suburbs of Southwestern Ainslie is tipped to be one of the first seats to go to Ahnited, with a strong presence of volunteers and a favourable constituency to a victory. However, ACEGAD are certainly not out of the running for a victory in the division - where they are out of the running through is in Ascara.

Ascara, a piecemeal matchup of northeastern Wesland and Gresswell Island seems all but set to distance themselves from ACEGAD philosophy - heavily environmentalism and utilitarian in nature, many of the party’s moves in recent times do not sit well with the voters of Ascara. Particularly of note is the perceived lack of communicatiton between the party and the people in these areas - so much so that representation as a seat in the Parlai and as an observer group in the Parlai isn’t enough - Gressians are not happy with ACEGAD and the move to incorporate them into Ascara is one they are likely to hold the party accountable for.
With the Gresswell treaty no longer active as per the Thuzbeks’ recent hostile actions, Ascara is likely to stay even more so as a symbolic sign of Ahnslen sovereignty in the High North.

Formed through a merger between minor leftist parties, APC defectors and the Christian Democrats, the Ahnslens United Party looks incredibly well established and authoritative going into their first election. Standing candidates in every division, ACEGAD are facing a party machine which is thoroughly people-centred and to an extent differentiated from them despite being centrist.

Whilst ACEGAD are making a dash to reassure potential Ahnited swinging voters, the party has captured a wider public sentiment and has got itself into the minds of the voting public very quickly and remarkably efficiently. Despite this it remains unlikely they could form a majority and would likely have to rely on a variety of independents in addition to the potential need to convince the STP to turn their backs on ACEGAD. If they were to come out as the largest party represented and they could not do this, they may need to entice the Indenats candidates instead. However, the latter step remains incredibly incoherent with Ahnited policy despite voters often placing them “1 and 2” or “2 and 1” on their ballot papers.

Greetings people of Ealdwic.

Luckily we live in a nation that values stability and truth, at least that is what we've been lead to believe. The stability part may still exist, but truth, that is a lie bestowed on us by the government. Our leaders have some major explaining to do. Social media has gone viral with pictures from San Javeria showing dead Wellsian soldiers from a place called Constantina. It has been determined that these men are members of the elite 3rd Rifle Brigade, which through our investigation is suppose to be on garrison duty in Kachee, not fighting and dying on foreign soil. The gallant soldiers have been lead into combat beside the Javerians against a coalition of Menna Shuli, Miklania and others. The military advisory board of the Witan has demanded an explanation from Fieldmarshal Fettleworth. While our leaders have betrayed us with the truth, we ask that prayers go out for the men and officers of the 3rd. The latest word we have heard is that many of the troops have been trapped in a prolonged siege at Constantina and how much longer they can hold out has been speculated that there time is short. We will keep the public informed of the conflict, the hearings and how the military will get our boys home.

In other news, and speaking of Kachee, a few days ago a meeting was planed between high ranking diplomats from Wellsia, Athra Magarat, and possibly French Charbagnia concerning the future of Kachee. With the formation of Vancouvian Agnion out of the areas of the former Charbagnia Federation under Vancouvuian occupation has put an end to the talks at the present. To ensure the safety of teh people of Kachee, the Ruling Cabinet has requested that the Kingdom of WEllsia take over the handling of Kachee's external and financial affairs. The Ruling Cabinet will continue to govern Kachee, but now with the assistance of a Wellsian Residential Adviser. The Royal wellsian Army will establish a permanent garrison of both land and air units. A new command of the Royal Wellsian Navy will also be set up which will go under the name of the Far Eastern Command.

Closer to home, across the bay the nation of Enchanta, under the erratic rule of the woman-child Rachel Alpin is collapsing into Civil War between Rachel's goons, pretending to be an army and a terrorist organization that calls themselves Modernist. There is concern in both the Witan and the Folkmoot, not to mention the Royal Palace that the country could collapse into total chaos and anarchy. The Kingdom of Wellsia and the Argive Colonies both have important ties with Enchanta and there has been talk about sending regular units to protect Wellsian interest. The major concern about taking action in Enchanta, is the finding out about the Javerian Affair and the possible trouble that may be rising on the southern border of our colonial holdings in South Argus. This constitutional crisis that is now raging in Menna Shuli has caused major concern both here on Wellsia and in the colonies. The Menna living in Azania and Raphata are divided over the actions of the 'uhitap Apsu Kashaka. Word has reached us that a divided Satep has approved the establishment of a written constitution for Menna Shuli with 64 votes in favor. Military and Colonial Police units in the colonies have been put on high alert as clashes have been reported between traditionalist and unifiers. The Traditionalist feel that any change will lead to the destruction of the Menna society, while the Unifiers fear that the constitution will not go far enough and bane the caste system all together. While some of the clashes betweeen the two groups have been bloody and have even resulted in fatalities, the Police with local military support have been able to keep a lid on the powder keg.

Lastly it has come to this stations notice that a number of regiments, including three of the Guard Regiments have issued a recall of all soldiers on furlough. The question is where will these men be used? Are they going to the relief of our men in San Javeria, to form the garrison of Kachee, to protect our interest in Enchanta, or to reinforce the garrisons in South Argus. WE ask that all keep our military and leaders in their prayers and that all actions are done for the betterment of Wellsia and the colonies.
