On December 21st,10 refugee children from Athara Magarat were kidnapped from their camp by a fellow refugee couple.However, before the couple could sail off, they were caught by a Coastal Defense guard. The couple, named Ala and Mao Kina are now in military custody but the kids have not been found. Now Rachel Alpin is taking over the case.
"This is child kidnapping, possibly child trafficking", she says shuffling through the papers on her desk. "The Army has teamed up with Enchanti Social Services to find the kids on land,while the Navy is searching the I.D strait. A Margarati official is coming today to speak with me on this case , and no you cannot get a live coverage report . The Equality Council and I have taken an oath not to reveal anything about the case until our information is finalized. That way, ,no one gives out false information."
We were soon ushered out of the room ,but we will be back in 2019 with more information. REMEMBER THE GOVERNMENT CAN'T HIDE

New Grand Prince elected after days of political turbulence.

In an emergency session this Sunday, the fifth session this week, the Landtag has elected a new Grand Prince after the resignation of His Excellency Wilhelm Sarrakus resigned on Christmas Eve following massed allegations of tax fraud the weeks before. His replacement will be His Grace Leon Orrenhof, current Count of Schlechtwegen. Most analysts consider such an replacement as "unlikely permanent" at the current point, given the severe backlash the "Democrats", one of the four major political factions in the Principality, has received following the allegations against some of their most senior members.

While these allegations do not extend to their new head Orrenhof, many of their Landtag members had to resign, decreasing the majority they had earned over the last years. It's unlikely many of these positions will be reappointed with Democrats. Similarly, many of them have to fear that they will be "unappointed" in the coming days and weeks as their local assemblies come into session again.

The largest threat for them at the moment are the "Constitutionalist", who severely opposed Democrat fiscal policy over the recent years, and wants to overturn various of their Social Security Laws, which strengthened state-financed social security, in favor of a system based around a mix of individual care and state-financed minimal care.

The "Conservatives" meanwhile hope to regain strength. While their platform was undefined, and what little exist unpopular, in recent years, they new see an opening to use for their policy.

Kingmakers in this entire game could be the "Parliamentarists", who provided confidence and support to the Democrats in last couple years. Some elements within them are however keen to support the Constitutionalist platform of "Reversed Reformism".

As night fell in Kanserdieg, the protesters of the Edvinian Socialist front kept the city center bright. The sound of grenade pins and the loading of rifles would not be heard over the deafening sound of protesters.
As the commander, Christian Jergerhokv, yelled the command to fire, grenades were thrown into the crowd from the platform where the police were.

10:30AM, 30/12/18. The guards were on the top of those stairs.

As the even more defeaning sound of a volley of rifle fire was heard, the protesters began to disperse as the grenades exploded, killing 16 of the densly packed protesters.
The riflemen have killed 8 of the protesters.

Nearly a week since the National Congress has been back in session, and the United Republics drops a bombshell of a resolution. Following fierce initial debate in both chambers as to whether or not the United Republics should become involved in the crisis in Noronica, news broke from the Gwynon Times that the Overlord of Noronica would not step aside as his Federal Assembly demanded, stating in an address on the 27^th of December, quote

It is with this desire for peace that I do not accept the terms laid out before me. I have committed no crime. Let us be reconciled, and return Noronica to what it should be. By Royal Decree, as I have not yet abdicated, I do hereby call for a general election to be held so that a new Assembly and Government may be presented to me for my assent to lead the country. Our democracy is threatened by instability, so let the people decide our future.

This is my response. Not to bow down, but to demand that my country's political power is returned to its people forthwith. If this legal order is not followed through with, I will be forced to ensure the constitutional will of the monarch is enacted.

This action seemingly galvanized the National Congress, and for the first time since assembling, the two main coalitions agreed to side with the Government of Noronica, with Speaker of the Forum Garret Davidson saying during the debate of the Resolution that quote

The Overlord of Noronica has far overstepped his boundaries, and has pushed his own nation to the brink of civil war by refusing the orders of the legitimate Government of Noronica. It is a shame that this has happened but such is the curse of monarchies in the modern age. When faced with a nation that no longer desires them, they will rage and fight like the petty princes they truly are, grasping for power the people no longer wish them to have.

I sincerely hope, for one, that when this crisis has finally subsided Noronica can enter in a new relationship with the United Republics, no longer shackled by a history so wrought with strongmen and callous foreign policy.

Today, after debating the extent of Dormill and Stiura's involvement, and an amendment to the Resolution to jointly address Dormill and Stiura's role in the reconstruction of Orsandia, the two chambers passed the resolution. The Council voting unanimously while the Forum voted with a 192-46 split, Labour, the Conservatives, and several members of the Republicans voted against, straining the relationship between these fringe parties and the two coalitions, who had united to draft the legislation. The President was quick to sign it, confident that this will rally the international community behind the United Republics and put further pressure on the Overlord to abdicate before the situation worsens further.

As 2018 draws to a close, people across the nation and those further from our shores celebrate the end of what was a tumultuous year and hope for a better year ahead. As is the tradition, Wesland is lifting the vast majority of its firework regulations until the 2nd day of January in what has become a dangerous although closely guarded tradition of the people. Rumours floated around Wesland that the new Governor would not lift the restrictions, which would produce major blacklash. However, these did not materialise. Amidst growing pressure, Dallaman Governor Emma Mansell did similar, stating that “it certainly is a unique way to see out the year and as long as it is safe, Government should not be concerned about it”. This comes days after a firework related incident saw a 19 year old male hospitalised after trying to shoot a pyrotechnic rocket at a firewasp nest. This is the first time Dallama has lifted its restrictions in decades.

The Electoral Government of Arlanah doubled down on their stance, stating that it is "incredibly dangerous to relax these kinds of laws around these times". The Electoral Government of Manning stated that some of its regulations will be lifted, yet not to the same extent as they will be in Dallama and Wesland. Governor Denozen warned citizens that many of the laws surrounding fireworks will still apply.

Medical chiefs from multiple electorates warned citizens and the Government of this dangerous custom with the general sentiment being that it is "wayward" and "unnecessary" to have these relaxing of laws designed to keep people safe and not to overly restrict their ability to obtain and use fireworks.

In addition to this, the annual fireworks black market appears to be cashing in on this opportunity. Large quantites of otherwise restricted fireworks have been intercepted at mail centres and airports, with ARSF and the Federal Police issuing a joint statement at a press conference in Arborai today.

"The frankly at times laissez-faire attitude of local police around this time of year does not mean that illegal fireworks are allowed into the Unified Electorates. Federal laws surrounding fireworks apply regardless of what Governors say and they will be enforced accordingly if required. Illegal fireworks entering the nation will be properly and thoroughly investigated in accordance with existing protocol."

Moreover, Governors across Ainslie shared similar messages whilst also telling Ahnslens to "stay safe and to have a good start to 2019". The Ahnslen Parks and Nature Authority also released a statement yesterday that goes as follows:

"Federal laws always apply over National Parks and as a result, none of the relaxing of laws in Wesland, Manning and Dallama apply to protected areas. Be careful where you decide to set off fireworks as it remains illegal to do so within protected areas and within a certain radius of these areas. It is both disruptive to the environment and a criminal offence to breach these laws."

The new year approaches, as the lavish celebration at the Imperial Palace of Sanctorum known as the "Eternal Victorium". Rages on, royal figures all across Volruheim gather to talk, eat, drink, and discuss what is next to be done. The celebration being recorded live to the public, while also being under heavy guard in order to ensure assassins who may wish to attack or kill one of the royal figures, far at bay.

While many of the civilians see the celebration as a source of national pride, in both the country and the monarchy. Others see it as a waste of time and money, and desire for the "Eternal Victorium" to be canceled permanetly. So the government can focus on more important matters, such as solving the divide of infrastructure and wealth between the northern and southern portions of the nation.

However, these people have been largely ignored by the government as the party continued as planned like it does at the end of every new year.

Parliament Ready To Return To Session

As the clock ticks down the month of December, and 2018 itself to come to a conclusion, the nation shall celebrate the new year with a bombardment of fireworks into the sky above, and partake in traditional bbq cuisine. Both the National Assembly and the General Council are set to return back to their duties at parliament as the 2019 Session marks its beginning.

The National Assembly set its calendar date to return to the capital on January 7th, 2019. The General Council has set their date further into the new year, and has it marked for January 9th; just a couple days after the National Assembly comes back into town.

Yorrkon Chancellor, Felton Vince, is currently preparing to deliver the annual Itinerary Address, in which states both the foreign and domestic goals for the nation from January until the end of November when parliament's 2019 session will come to a close.

The parliament's calendar for 2019 has included an additional 12 work days from 2018. This is a typical occurrence after an election year, to make up for the period of time, in which a transition of power is taking place between the outgoing and incoming chancellor.

Earlier this March, Felton Vince took the oath of office after a controversial victory as the newly elected chancellor. However, the population has come to realize Vince's agenda had not been the radical views believed to be set out.

As the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019 looms closer, it is expected to be another successful and eventful year for Yorrkon in terms of the economy, and engagement within foreign affairs.

After careful decision, a federal sanction was put on Thuzbekistan, this does not prevent private companies from trading with the nation, only the government is banned.

The Royal Council though this would be a nice in between as not to anger the League and still make people happy.
Talks however are still on the table.

In other news a prison riot at Silico Prison has lead to the former president, Jane Weston, to go missing. She may have escaped with a pro-weston group named "The Long Knives".

Bridges Closed And Bombing Of Major Military Bases

Footage Of Noronnican Fighter Jets

Around 16:39 PM, several accounts on social media started reporting seeing fighter jets fly over Noronnican airspace, with each shared video showing Noronnican F-19 Aingeal fighter jets. Those same jets were then seen causing tremendous damage to key military targets around Noronica. At 16:59, major bridges were closed in eastern Noronica by military vehicles bearing Noronnican emblems. This, according to many of the public, is the sign that Noronica is being threatened by a coup d'etat.

This afternoon, Noronica was rocked by aerial and land assaults, where Noronnican fighter jets took to the air to bomb significant military sites, and cars were blocked from crossing bridges in eastern Noronnican states. Many were worried of rogue units, but due to the nature of the attacks, it soon became clear that the events of several hours ago were indeed a coordinated operation.

NAS (Noronnican Air Base) Sulbry, Hydwick, and Godbury were all the sites of bombing attacks made by the fighter jets, to cripple the early-warning capabilities of the country so as to ensure there was no response to the violence. Bombings also occurred in army bases stationed in the Prefectorial State of Pinross. In total, 10 fighter jets and 2 AWAC aircraft have been rendered inoperable and according to rescue teams that arrived at the scene, 22 servicemen have been killed with 51 casualties.

In the Prefectorial States of Pinross and Tresson, multiple key bridges have been cut off by various troops of the 31st Infantry Brigade, a unit of the Noronnican Armed Forces that were recently taken under the command of the Overlord of Noronica. One of our reporters attempted to question the reasons behind the blockade, yet the soldiers on the scene refused to comment.

Secretary for Defence, Martyn Greyhound, had this to say in response:

"This has been a colossal military disaster. We are pouring all our resources into trying to resolve this situation. We ask the public to remain calm and to not come to any conclusions. When we have all the information, we shall divulge more on the subject."

Despite his calls for calm, many have taken to social media. The obvious connection has been made, what are troops under the command of the Overlord doing blockading transport, and why were Noronnican fighters bombing domestic targets? The answer that is on many of our minds today is that this is the beginning of an attempted overthrow.

DEVELOPING : Smoke seen from Royal Plaza, Executive Office Building in Guangfeng

GUANGFENG - Local authorities and citizens reported seeing a large plume of black smoke appear following a loud "booming" sound that shook nearby buildings. At approximately 2 am OST, Guangfenians awoke to a loud, explosive like sound coming from the Royal Plaza of Orsandia, the district of Guangfeng which houses governmental buildings, departments, and the prime minister's residence, Prime Minister Williamson and his cabinet could not be reached. The Orsandian Security Agency, Guangfeng Police, and other law enforcement officials could be seen racing towards the area alongside fire trucks and medical vehicles. Unconfirmed reports from citizens living near the district indicated that the explosion-like incident was followed by gunfire that sent bystanders fleeing in multiple directions.

When reached for comment, the Orsandian Crisis Response Agency released this statement : " We are currently investigating and monitoring the situation in Guangfeng. We ask that citizens please shelter in place and lock ALL doors."

President, diplomats respond to Noronnican bombing crisis

ELLSBURGH (APA)- Senior members of the Almorean government, including President Alasdair Hallowell, have responded to the recent events in Noronica that saw the increasingly unstable nation's air force bomb its own bases in what may represent the first foreign crisis of 2019.

President Hallowell told reporters at a business roundtable at Carldon Hall this morning that he was "perplexed and alarmed" by the incidents, which left 51 people dead or wounded.

"It's obviously very worrying. I don't know what the hell they were doing," the President said. "We'll be keeping a close eye on developments as they occur. My top priority is to make sure that Almoreans in Noronica are safe and sound."

President Hallowell's comments reflect widespread concern over the security of the roughly 34,000 Almoreans that live in Noronica. Secretary of State Kirk Thurson offered his own view on the matter in a conference call with APA journalists.

"My concern is with the Almoreans living there, to make sure that they aren't feeling threatened or unsafe," Secretary Thurson said. "The fact that Noronica's military has turned on itself like this is extremely concerning. We are calling for calm and deescalation to achieve a peaceful dialogue and avoid further loss of life."

In a press release this afternoon, the State Department announced that the Noronnican Ambassador in Ellsburgh has been summoned to provide "an immediate and thorough explanation" of the incident.

The Almorean Ambassador in Nolon City, Camden Zava, could not be reached for comment but his office told the APA that he is currently engaged in "intensive discussions with both parties" to bring about a peaceful resolution.

Analysts and congressional aides say that the issue of Noronica will be Congress's highest foreign policy priority when it reconvenes for its spring session on Friday, January 4.

Violence will only fuel further incidents, crimes and untold suffering. So far, it is the Private Contractors who are taking the brunt of the chaos there.

NEW SOEL - Takashiro Kurumbang-Toriyama, professionally known as TKT, an indie animator, has been arrested by the New Soel Police Department of Coalescence Corp for his anti-Euranian statements.

According to passers-by, TKT had just finished dinner at the Gyutori ramen restaurant in downtown New Soel when a squadron of police officers confronted him. TKT was subsequently taken into custody without incident. The arrest however, was caught on film and the news quickly spread across social media. Internet sites covering the story were filled with users fighting, with fans and critics calling the act unjustified and illegal, while supporters of the action proclaimed that it "was coming to him". Hours after his arrest, news spread on social media that Evergreen Ent's subsidiary Cinema of Eurania had pulled his animation shows from their site while in-store copies quickly disappeared.

TKT's animations, such as Mr Shadow (shown above) have garnered criticism over the years for becoming increasingly politicized and against the country's policies and values

After his arrest, an internet petition that reached 10,000 signatures in a matter of hours called for TKT to be immediately released and the restoration of his works. Police and Cinema of Eurania have not commented on the situation.

TKT's family and friends are supportive of him. His girlfriend, Ami Kawashima, asked for him to be released and his shows unbanned.

"I support my boyfriend all the way through," she stated on her social media. "I don't see why he has to be arrested. I don't see his crime."

The situation, as described by critics, is another example of the alleged trend of diminishing power of the individual to the corporate-ruled system of justice in the Colonies. It is not known when TKT's trial will be scheduled. New Soel Police have reported that he currently is being held without bond in the New Soel city jail.

Ward Signals Official Stance in Noronican Conflict

Alland- President Morris Ward held an emergency press conference Thursday morning following news of the bombings of military and transportation targets in Noronica. The attacks were reportedly carried out by segments of the Noronican military, in what has become an escalating constitutional crisis.

Ward, speaking alongside Minister of Defence David Unangana, and incoming President Annaliese DeBoer, reiterated his support for the elected government in Noronica. "We call on all nations to stand by the rule of law, and the institutions which protect it. In Noronica, the Constitutional Court has spoken, and we recognize the legitimacy of their lawfully elected leaders."

When asked about how the incoming centre-left Assembly coalition would respond, Ward handed off to DeBoer, who is set to take over the Presidency when the new government resumes on the 14th. "The new leadership in the Assembly are working closely with our intelligence agencies and diplomatic envoys." She added, "Noronica is an ally, and our embassy there has been in close communication with all parties involved."

Travel Warnings Issued

Also on Thursday morning, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced new travel warnings for Michigonians traveling to Noronica. A ministry spokesperson said the "Level 1" warnings implore Michigonians to use caution due to "sporadic civil unrest."

"Level 3" warnings were also extended for travelers to Alteran, citing "widespread civil unrest."

Markets Tumble

The violent outburst in neighboring Noronica has come in the wake of other regional conflicts. News of continued conflict in Orsandia, Illa Isle, and Alteran have rocked stock markets over the past few months.

The DeHoek Index dropped nearly 4% as news of the bombings unfolded Wednesday. It has fallen 16% since November 1st, leading analysts to speculate about a Gael-wide recession.

Navy to Remain in Orsandia

The press conference came just a day after the Ministry of Defence announced that the Michigonian Navy's flotilla in the Sapphire Bay would continue "maritime security operations" under the Dormill-Stiurian-led peacekeeping mission in Orsandia, known as "Operation Radiant Dawn."

Councillor and Defence Minister David Unangana declined to give a time-table for the flotilla's mission in the Sapphire Bay, but said, "This mission is part of the legislature's previous deployment approval."

BREAKING: Prime Minister Williamson, members of Cabinet taken hostage in Guangfeng following gunfire and blasts that have killed 43, injured over 200 people.

GUANGFENG (GT) - Earlier reports of smoke from the Royal Quarters of Guangfeng have been confirmed to be caused by improvised explosive devices across the city, which reports now confirm have killed at least 43 people and injured over 200. Hours ago, explosions and gunfire erupted in Guangfeng, at the midst of Orsandia's recovery from the bloody civil war against the Communist People's Liberation Force. The scene in Guangfeng could be described as "chaotic" with citizens fleeing in all directions while law enforcement and anti-terrorism units scrambled to secure the location, exchanging gunfire with the assailants. At this time, members of Prime Minister Reginald WIlliamson's government, along with the prime minister himself, have been taken hostage inside of the Executive Palace. The ceremonial emperor of Orsandia, Yang I, was escorted to safety by his security detail. Enchanti Child Trafficking and Power Beer "Nation-X" Sex Scandal Rocks Athara Magarat

Just five days after Enchanti government revealed a child trafficking ring between the nations of Enchanta and Athara Magarati Federation of Hangates run by an Athara Magarati couple posing as refugees and the official sent by Jrm Hangma is still in Enchanta, another scandal has emerged.

According to Athara Magarati officials, over a 100 employees of the state-owned alcoholic beverage producer Power Beer were involved in a massive orgy with around 250 prostitutes, including underage boys and girls, for two days from Tamu Losar (December 31st) till New Year. The exact location of the hotel has not been disclosed and Magarati authorities are calling this incident the "Nation-X" scandal for now.

"88 men and 20 women holding Magarati citizenship and all of them employees of the state-owned enterprise Power Beer, have been arrested in Nation-X. At the moment, we are discussing the extradition of our citizens as immediately as possible." A government official told the Herald under condition of anonymity.

"One of the prominent businessman in Nation-X said: 'As I exited the lift, I saw one of the Magarati men lean across and put his hand in a girl's top and fondle her breasts. As I entered the next floor, five young girls were being fondled in their private parts by two Magarati women. In another room, a young girl and a woman were between two Magarati men with sex toys littered everywhere.' According to this businessman, the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors of the hotel were occupied with uncivilized Magarati men and women playing with the prostitutes and even a few underage local boys and girls. The entire neighborhood was disturbed by the noise they were making and the city police said that they received at least 100 calls regarding this incident." The government official further stated.

Power Beer, led by CEO Tamuwani Pachyu, immediately held a press conference and apologized to "the families of everyone involved in this disgraceful incident" on the behalf of their employees and Athara Magarati government.

On Thusday evening, Jrm Hangma had apologized to "families of the trafficked children" and promised to hand the harshest punishment upon the Athara Magarati couple involved in kidnappings. She said that the junior secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was in Enchanta to discuss the extradition of the couple to be punished according to Magarati law.

Merely four hours later, Jrm Hangma issued another apology statement, this one about the Power Beer "Nation-X" Sex Scandal, while still saying that her citizens would be punished according to Magarati law once again.

COUNCIL FOR STABILITY FORMED, OVERLORD EXPLAINS SITUATION

Yesterday saw the initiation of the nationwide deployment of Noronnican troops around several of the country's prefectorial states. Despite the exaggerated panic in the latest Noronnican Media Corporation article on the matter, should you be concerned? The nation has been rocked by instability, and little has been done to rectify the issue, ergo pushing certain members of the armed forces to side with the cause of the Overlord. Last night, in a long press conference in Lancaston, the Overlord made several things clear, including his intention that no more lives should be put at risk and for stability to reign across the nation once again.

The matter that has shocked the entire nation and those abroad was the bombing of air bases around Noronica. According to the pilots involved in the operations, there were very little casualties due to the fact that their targets were not being operated or used during what was a break for many on the bases. The Overlord himself declared that state figures were exaggerated to attempt to propagandise the situation and that the operation had been 'meticulously planned' to involve as little casualties as possible.

Asked why this part of the operation was necessary, the Overlord explained that:

"We have been informed by certain sources that a preliminary strike was bound to occur against us, crippling our efforts to stabilise the situation and give our voices an equal footing. My orders were to ensure that this could not happen, and while I concede that this was clandestine and perhaps something a few might consider as 'wrong', I must say that should the plans of my opposite number have been put in action, we would have lost a lot more. It is with my deepest regret that some servicemen were injured or killed during the operation, and my condolences are to the families of these heroes. This would not have happened had the autocratic leadership of Joshua McIntosh and his desire for absolute rule been recognised sooner."

Some have supported this view, taking to various platforms to voice their support of the Overlord and that it was 'inevitable' that lives would have been lost had the pilots not acted in the manner they did. Others, however, were not so forgiving, condemning the actions of the Overlord and his forces as 'reprehensible'.

The other part of the operation involved securing military bases and bridges in the far western areas of Noronica. This, according to the press conference, was to ensure that while hostilities were now at the surface, the continuity of Noronica's western economy could continue unmolested, due to western Noronica being the heartland of Noronnican industry. The presence of troops gave some drivers a 'boost', as they supported the attempts of the Overlord to allow for daily lives to continue while the hostilities were being resolved.

Prefect Kai Wei of the Prefectorial State of Pinross declared his support of the Overlord, dedicating resources towards supporting the cause. Hours after his declaration, the military installations in the state fell in line alongside the Prefect.

With now two Prefectorial States supporting him, the Overlord also declared that:

"With the inevitable soon upon us I have, alongside the democratically elected members of the Federal Assembly that left the corrupt supporters of Joshua McIntosh, formed a 'Council for Stability'. An executive body which will act to ensure territories under my support shall remain fully functioning economically and militarily. This body is not an entirely military body, we are not espousing the benefits of a military junta, what we are doing instead is forming a hybrid body of civilian and military personnel to ensure that the hostilities presented to us can be dealt with through calm and beneficial measures."

United Republics Armed Forces on the move throughout Gael

Just as New Year's celebrations were wrapping up across the Isles, terrible news erupted from both sides of the United Republics. In the north, the Overlord has started a coup against the government of Noronica, performing airstrikes across southwestern Noronica seemingly in preparation for an invasion from the already loyal Sussex Isle. On early Friday, after further attacks, the State of Pinross declared support for the coup, granting the Overlord and his loyalist forces a way on to the Noronnican mainland.

To respond to this sudden escalation, President Cedar Dyson had sent orders to the First and Second Brigades of the United Republics Army to "secure and protect the Territory of Arvan, and to prevent the Overlord from utilizing the peninsula and its military assets against the legal government of Noronica", he had also sent orders to the Navy, particularly the two Coastal Defense Squadrons, to deploy along the North Coast to "defend the right of navigation in the area of the conflict".

Hours later, the Guangfeng Times managed to report that Prime Minister Willamson and members of his cabinet were taken hostage following a PLF attack on the Royal Quarter of Guangfeng. The United Republics Army 4th Brigade, which was based just outside the city limits, were quickly deployed into the city overnight alongside Guangfeng PD and Orsandian Army units, and are reported to be closing in on the Royal Quarter after encounters with PLF forces throughout.

President Dyson had held a brief address during today's news briefing regarding the situation, where he said

The United Republics will act in a way compliant with International Law to defend not only its own borders, but to protect its allies and partners during these dangerous times. We will do what we can to end this coup in Noronica and end the threat of the PLF in Orsandia as soon as it is possible. We will also work with the League to provide aid to both of these nations as to further prevent tragedy. I will reiterate that the United Republics is not acting unilaterally to respond to these situations, but is acting with our partners and allies in Gael and across the Isles to ensure that these crises do not persist.

Our first post of 2019 is not off to a good start. New information has been revealed pertaining to the refugee case. Ala and Mao Kina, the couple that kidnapped 10 refugee children December 21st were found to be child traffickers posing as refugees. We have also learned that this child trafficking ring is linked to a sex scandal with a Magarati beer company,where a reported 250 prostitutes,including underaged children were staying at a hotel. This scandal is currently named the Nation-X scandal. The leader of Athara Magarat has publicly apologized but Rachel Alpin made a nationwide speech expressing her outrage.

“This goes against everything Enchanta values and we will not stand for it!” Rachel angrily said in front of the Equality Council Office, “It is highly unlikely these people will get their children back now, which was our top priority. Enchanta will not sit idly by and watch this unfold into a huge mess. Tell Athara Magarat that we want justice!” The leader then stormed off and did not comment on the situation. Now the hashtag #Refugee Justice is trending on social media. Supporters of the refugees, which was a large amount of Enchanti citizens, drove and even walked to the entrance of the refugee camp and stood there for hours, they didn't move until the military came to do their patrol.

Unfortunately,there is also a bad side to this, people who were against refugees and immigrants now think they have a valid reason to hate them and are causing civil unrest. Immigrants are getting turned down from jobs,kicked out of restaurants and even fought. A man even tried to throw a brick through an immigrant’s window. The refugee families are getting some sympathy but there is still hate spreading around.

The parties “natural alleis” for coalition the Aruian Economic and Social Justice Party has the minister of tourism and leader of the party, Caterina Tibano and minister of foreign affair Jacob Moskovich to copmete. While the third largest party The New Baimjeidians has decided to give the stage to younger party members to compete for leadership senator Bel’tilda Fer’usco and Deputy of Venryndia Mattia Flo’rinci to compete. The Rest of the party has already chose their candidates. Supreme Court judge Tulleo Del’Kappon in a joint press meeting with chief of senate Alisa Edal has stated

“I am prepared to take on the mantle as the chief supervisor of the election. I expect even in this turmoils that occur on Gael that no exceptions. Incitement and radical vocals will be dealt with severely, the supreme court with permission of the chief of senate has the full liberty to even ban a party from partaking in the general elections.”

President Del’falco has met with our reporters to reflect over his term that is nearing its end, Valerio Del’falco was known for a sharp tongue and a warm temper yet an inclusive personality. During his period the Aruian Trade Center has made a mark in export and Aruia witnessed one of its largest tourism periods of the decade and lowest ones as well.

Valerio Delfalco became president in 2011 being two terms in office with the second one running unopposed, Delfalco has been known for forming the Aruian Trade and Commerce Center instead of ministry of economics and finance and for reforming the beach sports association.

Congress reconvenes for first session of 2019 - Transport Secretary ousted - Pres. presents request for pipeline money

ELLSBURGH (FBCA)- Congress reconvened today in the nation's capital, ending its Christmas recess and beginning a session that will last until March 31.

Lawmakers of both houses, the Senate and Chamber of Representatives, were called to order at ten in the morning by Deputy President Michael Jardine in one of his office's few constitutional duties as Head of the Congress. After the roll-call was taken in each house, members of Congress gathered together in the Chamber of Representatives to listen as the Deputy President delivered a sixteen-minute address.

"You represent 25 million Almoreans," Jardine told lawmakers, flanked by Sen. Jon Fitzlane (F-Frasyrland) and Rep. Torquil Chatto (F-Warenne Island), the presiding officers of their respective houses. "It is in the Palace of Congress that the nation's dreams will be realized." In a nod to bipartisanship, the Deputy President asserted that "the administration is looking forward, and eagerly so, to working with you to achieve common goals."

Despite Jardine's words, there was little political amity to be seen outwith the Chamber of Representatives today, the first day in 2019 that the entire federal government is up and running.

The biggest piece of news came this morning, when President Alasdair Hallowell abruptly fired Transportation Secretary Maisie MacDougall in a move that was anticipated by many, but prepared for by few. MacDougall, who may have been the subject of a December 19 sealed indictment relating to the embezzlement of millions of dollars from her Department, refused to resign over the Christmas recess, according to multiple sources in the administration.

Rather than subject the administration to the embarrassment of impeachment proceedings at the hands of Federalists in Congress, President Hallowell chose instead to oust the embattled secretary, whom he appointed in November 2017. Carldon Hall has not issued an official statement on the firing.

Almorea's new Secretary of Transportation will be Samuel Yusuno, the CEO of Almorean Rail, the nation's nationalized railroad conglomerate, according to a Twitter announcement by the President. Yusuno, who is the first person of Keomoran descent to serve in the Cabinet, will take office effective immediately and is the third secretary to head the Department of Transportation in the Hallowell administration. Deputy Secretary John Bowman will continue in his current role, according to the tweet announcing Yusuno's appointment.

Yusuno inherits a complex portfolio, including an ongoing bridge project on Warenne Island that is being funded by both Almorea and Storalia. He will visit the province later this month to view progress on the bridge, according to his office.

A change of leader at the Transportation Department was not the only item on President Hallowell's to-do list today. Through one of his main allies in Congress, Rep. Damon Macaulay (A-Baranor), the President presented the legislature with an appropriations request for $4 billion to build an oil pipeline running from Gray Hills into Yhaiva, in eastern Totzka. This sum was specified in the ATAFTA trade deal signed between Almorea and Totzka in December; however, it is doubtful that Congress will vote to allocate all of it.

Federalist leaders in the Chamber, which deals with budgetary matters, are expected to visit Carldon Hall tomorrow and offer $2.8 billion for the pipeline, according to congressional sources.

President Hallowell, however, who is bound by the text of ATAFTA to cough up $4 billion, is unlikely to accept this amount, according to Press Secretary Linda Woodbead. "Anything less than the full amount would be a breach of faith with our Totzkan allies," Woodbead told the press pool this afternoon. She continued on to assert that "the dollar pipeline is a wonderful investment for Congress to make" and that it will "pay for itself many times over," using a phrase first coined by the President on December 14 when he told reporters in Parazina that they should imagine dollars, not oil, flowing through the proposed construction.

In what will likely prove to be an uncomfortably familiar distraction from his Totzkan pipeline headache, the President will visit Dragão do Mar on Monday, January 7, to attend the inauguration of Paulo Lacerda as Prime Minister.

Athara Magarati Vehicle Tax Doubled

The fiscal policy presented in the Divan-i-Magarati today has doubled the vehicle tax for next fiscal 2019-20. The annual vehicle tax for minibuses, mini trucks, trucks and private buses has been hiked to Rs 3,000, which was Rs 1,500 this fiscal.

Likewise, owners of cars, jeeps, vans and micro buses from next fiscal will have to pay Rs 2,400 annual tax, which is a cent per cent increment from the existing Rs 1,200.

For three-wheelers, the vehicle tax has been increased from Rs 850 to Rs 1,550. The government has also raised the annual vehicle tax of power tillers and tractors to Rs 1,000 for next fiscal from Rs 750 this fiscal.

Similarly, road maintenance tax has been increased for vehicles with higher engine displacement (cc). As per the new rule, for vehicles that are in between 251 cc to 400 cc, the annual tax has been fixed at Rs 10,000 for road construction and maintenance.

For vehicles that have capacity of more than 400 cc, the annual tax has been fixed at Rs 15,000. Such tax was fixed at Rs 9,000 for all vehicles with capacity of more than 200 cc in this fiscal.

The Athara Magarati government stated that it wants to reduce private ownership of vehicles, traffic jams and pollution, import of foreign vehicles and to make the citizens travel more on city buses and trains where transportation is free with Mgarati e-citizenship card.

"We want our citizens to fully utilize our free railways and city buses more." A government official said; further adding that the Athara Magarati and Vancouvian governments were discussing the addition of railways in the federation of hangates.

BREAKING: AIRLINER GOES MISSING OVER CENTRAL BRULAFI HIGHLANDS

TURBAY- A BrulAir Tupolev Tu-154 jetliner (similar to the one pictured above) has disappeared en route to Town Beside the Sea, with many fearing the flight to have crashed.

23:53- The flight, BrulAir Flight 54, made its last radio contact to Wilhelmsburg control tower Thursday night as the tower made routine weather reports to flights preparing to head out and over the Brulafi border.

At the time of data gathering earlier Thursday evening, the rapid formation of a cold front and a storm system over the west of the country was observed and several flights at Wilhelmsburg airport were grounded for hours due to inclement weather conditions.

00:23- At about the same time that the weather front had moved into the flight path of Flight 54, the airliner dropped off of the radar tracking systems of Brulafi air traffic control and ceased to respond to radio contact above Joseph O'Reilly People's National Forest.

01:00- A skilled and courageous group of soldiers and civilians assembled on the perimeters of the park in order to form a search and rescue force.

So far, still, no trace of the aircraft or those on board have been found.

KOMAEN - The Chief of Police of the Komaen Police Department (KPD), Mark Antonvigus Asukastus, held a press conference on the the recent scandal that has shaken the Magarati state-owned company Power Beer.

In a statement to the press, Chief Asukastus revealed that the KPD had carried out the string of arrests of several dozen Magarati employees of Power Beer who are currently being held without bond in the city jail, as well as the identity of "Nation-X" in his counterpart's legal case being the Colonies of Eurania.

The arrests were carried out in the Hotel Tromni, the site where the alleged crimes are said to have taken place. Witnesses recalled police in white-clad uniforms knocking on the hotel doors of the accused before bursting in and coming out with the detained in handcuffs.

Police say that they received an anonymous tip given to them that detailed illegal activity being conducted on the grounds of the hotel. The tip pleaded for urgency and suggested that there were pedophilic, vulgar, and immoral acts being performed by hotel guests.

The Magarati employees, over 100 in total, are accused of engaging in illicit acts with minors, as well as running a brothel with minors and engaging in illegal conduct on a private property. Prosecutors have stated that some of the victims were refugee children as young as 13 years old. It was also noted that local children, presumably pulled from the streets, were present when police conducted the arrests.

The allegations also drew protests outside outside the Magarati embassy and the hotel. Protesters demanded justice for the victims and full punishment of the law. Hotel security later drove away the protesters after several protesters attempted to enter the hotel to allegedly protest in the lobby.

On social media users slammed the employees, with one internet commentator describing them as "just plain sick people". On the opinion of the revelation of Eurania being the site of the crimes, users mainly considered it unconcerning while a slim minority undertook efforts in their posts to link the scandal with the corporate system of Eurania.

The arrests come as an ever-growing backlash unfolds after revelations of sexual abuse by the employees, further compounding on a scandal that began with the discovery of a sex-trafficking ring run by a Magarati couple. The arrested employees' employer Power Beer has apologized in a press conference with its top executives condemning the actions of the company's employees, and the national leader of Athara Magarat, Jrm Hangma, vowing to punish the perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law.
