Teronita

The Foreign Minister arrived at a question session with the Senat today for one main purpose: to discuss Teronita. Samaj has historical ties to Teronita through immigration and many of the Senators were natives. Leyba Wrusan was expected to give an even-handed response, but instead gave a clear and powerful response to Teronita and their regeime.

Senator Retorani Eweq: The King of Teronita of 31 years has recently been assassinated by the Prideful Lions of Democracy. How should we respond to the escalating events in Teronita?

Minister Wrusan: When we see leaders of a nation being attacked, and killed, we naturally and instinctively respond with outrage against disrespect for authority in this most cruel of manners. The PLD have an important lesson to learn: violence only makes enemies! And when your enemy is a state, things cannot end well.
Behind most assassinations is a grievance and, usually in assassinations, it is not veritable. However, the PLD is fighting for its name: democracy. Democracy is something truly to strive for. I refuse to condemn the PLD, but advise that they take up peaceful resistance and disobedience.

As for Teronita and its leaders, it is no surprise that violence befalls them. Teronita has seen a fascist government since the 1900s. We must note their policy of repression of free speech, shown by the strict controls on media, government cronyism, corruption under Emperor Treso and enforced atheism.

The Foreign Ministers speech was seen as a turning point in policy wih Teronita. In the past, government has been cautious to condemn and has had a policy of leaving Teronita alone.

SSTO

Meetings in the International District over the past days have resulted in the preliminary formation of an international organisation: the SSTO. Samaj is one of the founding members and author of the treaty, which will allow free movement and create a mutual defence pact between parties. The SSTO (South Sea Treaty Organisation) was formed in response to rogue nuclear tests in the Sea by Wellsia.

NEW LIBANG, ATHARA MAGARAT - Royce was the choice for Cosie as the national football team overwhelmed Covonant 3-1 in the last quarterfinal match of the MSFC Cup. Royce Funan proved his mettle as The Crocs' star striker, having fired two of his six shots into the back of the Covonantian net. Athara Magarat (and the rest of The Western Isles) better take note of Cosie's talent, for our boys put on a shining display in the Magaratis' very own Su Stadium.

To be fair, Covonant were no pushovers, having routed the much-vaunted Athara Magarat 3-0 in the Mesder qualifiers. The Eaglets started this match hot off the blocks, forcing the Cosian defense to scramble against their early pushes; striker Drusus Lateranus almost opened the scoring for Covonant in the third minute, only for his shot to be cleared away by Cosian defender Camanir Sosa.

The Crocs were having a fiery start themselves, however, and it would be the boys in white and teal who'd end up scoring first in the fifth minute. Truth be told, Cosie's first goal wasn't entirely planned; right-back Bruce Hines-Bocarty was attempting a cross from the flank, but he apparently scuffed his kick and sent the ball flying away from target man Funan. To everyone's surprise, the ball ended up going over Covonantian keeper Marcus Calpurnis's head, bouncing off the upright and into the net.

Cosie's freak goal didn't seem to get at their opponents' nerves; Covonant kept up their offensive charge at kick-off, and Cosie's defense was run ragged once again. Just a minute or two in, Cosian keeper Roman Dubois had to parry away Quintus Muco's shot for a corner to The Eaglets. Covonantian midfielder Vibius Vocula made the most of the opportunity, heading Arruns Venator's corner straight past Dubois's chest into the net.

Unfortunately for Covonant, the boys in yellow and green couldn't find the energy to make more pushes for the rest of the half. Luckily for Cosie, the boys in white and teal were all set to make their own attacking runs; wingers Asric Casan and Belomouc took turns at fooling with the Covonantian full-backs through their eye-popping techniques, while Royce Funan kept center-backs on edge by prowling The Eaglets' backline.

Covonant struggled to fight back against The Crocs' offense, and it didn't take long for them to crumble. In the 23rd minute, Covonant's Caeso Galarius was looking to receive a backpass from Vibius Vocula, only to find it intercepted by Funan. The Cosian center-forward painfully rebuffed Galarius's attempt to win the ball back before blasting the ball into the top left corner of the net; Covonantian keeper Calpurnis could hardly react in time to see the ball fly past him.

The 20,000 Cosian supporters in Su Stadium were no doubt delighted to see the glut of chances The Crocs were creating throughout the rest of that first half. The 25,000 Covonantian fans in attendance, on the other hand, probably thought half-time couldn't come soon enough. The Cosian faithful's steel drums kept their spirits high during the break; incidentally, New Libang's police were seeing an increase of noise complaints filed around that time.

Covonant attempted to take back control of the match in the second half, keeping the ball as far away from their opposition as is legally allowed. Cosie's players responded by trying to pry the ball from their clutches in ways that are not quite legally allowed. It's a miracle how the Cosians only got away with two yellow cards in that match, both for fouls far milder than their other attempts.

It seemed to be working in Covonant's favour, though. In the 62nd minute, Eaglets captain Gallio Polus took advantage of Cosie's Enrique Ellton easing off of him by shooting the ball past the Cosian backline, but thankfully, keeper Roman Dubois managed to make a harried attempt to catch the ball. Four minutes later, Covonant's Quintus Muco managed to make a low cross into the box through left-back Danny He's legs. Servius Libo had a foot to the ball, but it ended up going mere inches away from the net.

The Eaglets were made to rue those missed chances come the 83rd minute. Cosian winger Asric Casan put Cosie on the counter-attack by dispossessing Placus Gavrus in his attempt to bring the ball forward for Covonant. The youngster quickly lobbed a long cross forward, with the ball dipping towards an area occupied by Covonantian defender Lars Silanus and Cosie's very own Royce Funan. Funan used his strength to shove Silanus away before volleying Casan's cross into the side of the net, earning himself a brace in the process.

Cheers echoed throughout Su Stadium, with the Cosian fans celebrating their star player's wonder of a strike. They carried on cheering for The Crocs by the end of the match, and they had good reason to do so: Cosie conquered their rivals 3-1, and they managed to do it in style.

As Covonant crashes out of the MSFC Cup, Cosie progresses into the semifinals of the tournament, where the talented Athara Magarat team await them. The Magaratis must hope that their forwards will be as able as right-back Kaji Man Iwahang at finding the net, lest they find themselves on the wrong side of the scoreline against The Crocs.

Cosie's Reactions

"We were the better team today," claimed a content Beminaire Julius in the Cosie national team manager's post-match conference. "With all due respect to Covonant, our boys did everything we set out to do and more. We got to create our chances, we got to pull our little tricks, and most importantly, we got to score more goals than the other team. We could've taken it easy if we wanted to, but I'm happy to see the team play up to their true level."

When asked about The Crocs' chances to progress in the MSFC Cup, Julius was very positive.

"After what we've witnessed today, I don't see how we might not win the Cup," said Julius. "Before last week, I didn't even know we had a tournament taking place right after the Isle Cup qualifiers. The boys had to get back to training on short notice, yet without much time to prepare, we managed to turn in a fantastic performance. If this is the kind of display we'll be putting up throughout the tournament, then it's clear to me that we'll come out of it as champions."

"After what we've witnessed today, I don't see how we might not win the (MSFC) Cup."
- Beminaire Julius, national team manager

Man-of-the-match Royce Funan was unavailable for comment, having taken his celebratory champagne with him out of Athara Magarat's Su Stadium.

On the Layman Island itself, many Cosian citizens were seen celebrating the national team's win over their regional rival.

"The victory was the perfect excuse for me to take the day off," said Dwight Beckford, a car mechanic spending his morning at Clearhart Beach. "I'll just tell my boss I got meself a massive hangover from watching last night's game. I don't think he'll mind. I know I don't."

Surprisingly, not everyone Cosian is rooting for The Crocs to make it far.

"Don't believe the hype," said Lucas Marron, the talented playmaker whom manager Julius left out of the national squad. "All too often, many Cosian footballers follow up on their recent success by being complacent soon after. We saw it happen against Verona Beach, and I'm 100% sure it'll happen against Athara Magarat."

'UHITAP A TEMPORE NAMED

SHUHAKALLU -Last night, as per their announcement this weekend, the Sâtêp announced their choice for someone to temporarily fill the role of the 'uhitap while 'uhitap Âspu Kashaka remains indisposed. The Sâtêp revealed that they had chosen Hitap Tatta Ushu, generally seen as a spokesperson for the militarist movement, to act as 'uhitap a tempore for a period of six months, during which more permanent solutions to the looming issues will be discussed. Hitap Tatta is known for being no nonsense and to stringently follow regulations, and was chosen due to the Sâtêp's belief that he will act in accordance with the 'uhitap's will and will be able to give up the roll at the end of the tenure if needed. In addition, his military expertise is seen as a requirement given current international socio-political events.

"I am honoured to be able to serve my nation in this time of need," said Tatta. "I will, I hope, prove to be capable of maintaining the dignity required of the role."

In his first address, Hitap Tatta announced that a vote would be called today on sanctions against Thuzbekistan and Samudera, which is believed to pass uncontested. Following this, a vote will be called on the Wellsia nuclear situation.

"We stand on a knife's edge," Tatta said. "We must be willing to act swiftly and decisively."

Finally, Tatta announced that the Sâtêp has "been in constant discussion" and will "consider the possibility of a formalized constitution over the coming weeks".

"If it means avoiding future situations like the current one, then we will do what is needed," Tatta said.

MÊK will continue to report on these stories as they develop.

ADDITION: The Sâtêp has agreed to place sanctions on Thuzbekistan and Samudera. Major trade deals with the nations will be suspended until such a time as their involvement with terrorists in Orsandia is proven to be ended. "The Mênna do not cooperate with those who support and back terrorists."

140 DEAD AS BUSH FIRES RAGE ACROSS COUNTRY
Tuesday 24th July - 09:00 |News|
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One hundred and Forty people have been confirmed dead and more are feared missing as Malagwi battles the largest bush fire in the last fifty years. Over 250km of fires are raging through the northern province as a result of scorching heatwaves that has struck Malagwi over the past three weeks. Temperatures have soared to above 104°F, in what has been the worst recorded heatwave in Malagwi since 1962 when temperatures peaked at 106°F. Firefighters have been summoned from across the country, and have been battling the fires, which is believed to be putting around 10,000 people at risk.

People have been evacuating in large numbers away from the risk areas as the Malagwi Government are holding emergency talks to deal with the situation. It's likely that the Malagwi military will be deployed to set up relief centers and aid the Firefighters. People have been reported missing and it is proving extremely difficult to launch any searches due to the dangers the fires pose.
Malagwi Sheriff Departments have been trying to assist in locating missing people but many officers have needed medical attention with smoke inhalation.

Malagwi Fire Department Commissioner, Bongani Afolabi issued a statement this morning:
"We can confirm that fatalities have numbered at 140. We have around 1200 firefighters, sheriff personnel, and volunteers trying to control and stop the fire. We do lack specialist firefighting equipment, and we are relying on more primitive methods of firefighting. We urge people in risk areas to think about evacuation. We have the army setting up relief centers with fresh water and shelter. We advise not to fight the fires yourself and don't try to be hero".

Plane makes emergency landing following attempted bombing
A Kanish Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing at the airport it had departed from, after a passenger attempted to detonate an explosive device aboard the plane.
On board the plane were 219 passengers and 10 crew members.
Five minutes after the plane took off, a passenger was shouting and causing disruption. The passenger then pulled a cylindrical object from one of his bags, before using a lighter on a part of the object.
Nearby passengers then subdued the man, before the situation reached the cockpit.
Pilot Marten Granqvist deemed it necessary to make an immediate u-turn and land the plane on the runway it took off from.
Nobody was injured or killed, and the would-be bomber was immediately apprehended by police.
No details relating to the would-be bomber's identity have yet been released.
We will give updates when we receive them.

MEETING OF THE MONARCHS: XREVARO-ROENDAVAR SUMMIT

July 25, 2018
Dociara City, Roendavar

King Vladimir IV's promise for a "Golden Age of Diplomacy" is slowly being fulfilled as thousands gathered once more in the capital of Dociara City to welcome the arrival of one of Xrevaro's monarchs, Queen Eril, and start a new friendship between the two nations.

Despite Roendavar's distance from Xrevaro, both countries have cordial relationships due to numerous Arts programs that were signed decades ago in order to improve education and funding in Education regarding music, arts, writing, etc. between the two nations. This enabled the Royal University of The Arts in Vladivești to accept exchange students from Xrevaro as well as send Roendavarian students. Despite these agreements, no formal diplomatic missions have been conducted the two.

However, today's visit will be a new chapter to Xrevaro-Roendavar relations, especially in the economic, religious, and education sectors. Roendavar has pledged to lower tariffs on mining imports from Xrevaro as the country has strict policies over mining. On the opposite end, Xrevaro has promised to open its market to Roendavarian companies, especially in the pharmaceutical sector. Roendavar has also promised to recognize the Heyúva minority in Andavar, ending decades of lack of representation in the Religious Ministry based in Tillanora City. Adding to the Arts programs that were mentioned above, both countries have agreed on furthering exchange student programs which would benefit students that seek to find opportunities between the two.

Queen Eril has been welcomed by the monarchs this morning in the Place of the Royals, along with the Presidents of Andavar, Sudever, and Tillianan. Vastarosian President Lord Victor Azănera Vațilezi was not present due to unknown reasons, however, some speculate that this was due to his disapproval of the country's diplomatic missions. Regardless, the summit was commenced and King Vladimir IV stated in a press conference before the event,

"Both Xrevaro and Roendavar is connected in more ways than one. Despite our differences in language, culture, race, and religion, our countries share the same ideas. We have a fascination for the gentler things in life: the beauty of art, the language that is music, and a way of life that puts kindness and compassion first, and that what makes our countries special."

The summit is expected to last until the evening of July 26. As with other diplomatic missions, the Vladimir-Dociara International Airport will be closed from flights. However, the summit is not a public holiday.

OSTEHAAR FUNDED NUCLEAR POWER PLANT CONSTRUCTION BEGINS

July 25, 2018
Mănzhestă City, Feliroi Municipality, Vastaros State, Roendavar

Following on the country's plan on a "Golden Age of Diplomacy", the country of Ostehaar has promised to assist Roendavar in the construction of the nuclear power plant in Mănzhestă, which was a result of diplomatic talks between the two countries in the past weeks.

The agreement that was signed between the two countries entailed that Ostehaar will fund the construction of the powr plant, which will eventually be repaid back in 10 years by the Roendavarian government. Ostehaar will also provide nuclear assistance and education, as well as improve economic trade.

The power plant resumed construction despite protests from the locals, most notably on July 11 that left 23 dead. The state of Vastaros have promised to practice maximum tolerance with future protests. The protests was a result of the nearby slum's, Miora District, residents which expressed their concerns in the case of a nuclear meltdown. These concerns were shut down by the Sudeverian President Lord Sorin Soare Dartuleșa as he stated on a meeting last week, "The concerns of the Miora District residents have no scientific basis and are mere products of paranoia."

The Mănzhestă power plant would be a huge boost to the country's energy output and is expected to benefit millions once construction is finished.

Council Passes Sanctions, Navy Deploys

Alland- On Tuesday the Federal Council voted 7-0 to pass sanctions on Thuzbekistan and Samudera, in the wake of allegations that the two governments are actively supporting the PLF in the Orsandian conflict.

In a press conference Tuesday afternoon, President Morris Ward said "targeted sanctions" will be "directed at officials at the top of the government of Samudera," including President Susanto, and the Chief of SAFI Promono Gunuaun.

Ward also called for a "full review" of Samuderan membership in the G4, citing the Susanto government's covert efforts to "undermine the rules-based order of the region."

Ward also said trade with Thuzbekistan, which accounts for 0.4% of Michigonia's overall trade, will be "temporarily halted pending review after six months."

Ward also announced the deployment of a naval taskforce to the Sapphire Bay, where the Michigonian navy will assist the Ahnslen and Aruian navies in maritime security operations. He stated, "We will work closely with our partners in the G4 as well as our neighbors in the region to ensure a coordinated and measured response to such hostile action, because our security depends on the security of our neighbors."

Sanato Rainey, Conservative Assemblyman and Kentshire's Federal Council candidate for the 2018 term, cautioned involvement in the Orsandian conflict during a speech on the Assembly floor.

"If we are willing to send our sons and daughters to the Sapphire Bay, are we prepared to sacrifice our sons and daughters to die in an ideological conflict on the Orsandian shores? We must be prudent, we must stay out of costly conflicts abroad."

When asked how long the naval task force would be deployed, Ward replied, "As long as it takes to bring illegal trafficking to a halt."

Orsandian Government Announces New Sanctions on Samudera, Thuzbekistan

GUANGFENG,ORSANDIA(GT) -- Following the introduction of a resolution of condemnation and sanctions against The People's Republic of Thuzbekistand and The Federated Islands of Samudera in the League of TWI, the government of the United Kingdom of Orsandia has followed suit with its own set of sanctions and restrictions on the two governments, the Times confirmed at a press conference at the Executive Palace Garden earlier this afternoon.

Filling in for Prime Minister Williamson, was the Secretary of State Wallace Shi, as he met with a gathering of reporters outside the Executive Palace. "The international community has poured its sympathy and condolences into our dire situation, and for that we are truly grateful. However, we must join the nations of the Isles in doing our own "peaceful retaliation" against the governments of Samudera and Thuzbekistan to show them that their wanton aggression and foreign policy based "opportunism" is wholly unacceptable in modern society.

The outlined sanctions include hefty tariffs on Samuderan rice and agricultural imports, which make up a sizable portion of Samudera's main food exports. Likewise, an embargo on technology, textiles, poultry, coal, and steel have been imposed on both the Samuderan and Thuzbek government. In addition, the assets of gold bullion and other monetary assets held by Samuderan President Susanto, and supposed Thuzbek assets in Orsandian banks or reserves have reportedly been seized by the Orsandian Securities and Exchange Commission.

The travel ban to Thuzbekistan has also been extended, and the Samuderan-Orsandian student visa program has been halted until further notice, meaning students within Orsandia and Samudera that have not already applied or are approved for educational travel will not be able to do so. The Orsandian government has given Samuderan nationals currently studying in Orsandia the choice to voluntarily re-locate back to Samudera or stay in Orsandia.

Nations across the Isles, including long-time confidant and ally of Thuzbekistan, Weinam issued their own set of sanctions. When questioned by reporters, Shi acknowledged the intention of the Michigonian Government to assist with operations in Sapphire Bay.

"We welcome help from our fellow neighbor and friend from the northwest of us. The prime minister has contacted his counterpart in MIchigonia to inform him that the Sapphire Bay Naval Base and Airfield would welcome Michigonian personnel to share the base with Orsandia and Ainslie to better aid their goals of help the Ahnslens and Aruians keep the bay safe."

Economists from the Stratechnic Solutions think tank, University of Orsandia's Kenneth D. Trafalgar Center for Global Economics, and the Woolworth Institute have estimated that these sanctions being levied on Samudera and Thuzbekistan will result in billions of dollars of economic loss for the two countries, and especially in impoverished or resource-deficient areas, could pose the risk for the development of a humanitarian crisis.

TATTA DECRIES WELLSIAN WEAPONS SITUATION

SHUHAKALLU - Hitap Tatta Ushu, in his role as 'uhitap a Tempore, spoke this morning on the ongoing nuclear weapons situation in Wellsia. As expected, Tatta was critical of Wellsia, echoing sentiments presented by the Sâtêp last week.

"We are in a situation with only three possible answers," Tatta said. "Either Wellsia managed to allow an unknown group to create a nuclear weapon without any detection, they managed to lose a weapon of their own to this same group, or this was a bungled government weapons test and they are trying to save face by pointing fingers at a third party. No matter which way you cut that, it shows a level of incompetence that is frankly astounding. Where nuclear weapons is involved, no level of incompetence should be allowed or ignored. Wellsia presents a clear and present danger to the safety of the Coral Bay region, including Mênna Shuli, and until such a time as they can answer for what has happened in a way that the international community finds agreeable, they should be held to account for this gross act of military negligence. The Mênnan government condemns Wellsia, and we will be visiting our options for political and economic punitive measures promptly."

When asked if he will join other nations in a naval response, Tatta announced that "we will continue to hold to our own territorial waters and borders" but that "naval and other military personnel will be on high alert and readiness until the situation is resolved".

"We don't have the resources to scramble the fleets like some nations do," Tatta said. "However, we will do everything within our power to protect the Mênnan sphere and her people."

To this end, Tatta related the situation tangentially to increased Nâtkut Sumi activities in certain areas of Mênna Shuli.

"These individuals are agitators on a domestic and foreign level," said Tatta. "They are a threat to the Mênnan culture and way of life. They are political extremists, provocateurs and ecoterrorists. Do not be surprised to see their activities escalate in response to the threat presented by Wellsia."

Miklanian Navy Recovers Rogue Bomb

_ Last evening, according to an official Navy spokesman, the Miklanian Navy identified and recovered the nuclear weapon dropped into the Southern Sea by a non-state group earlier this week. The bomb was recovered by the RMS Intercessor, deploying the submersible Nautica. The bomb has been brought to the surface and is currently in the custody of the RMN. The Wellsian government has requested that the bomb, which was dropped from their territory, be returned to them. The Navy spokesman declined to comment on what would be done with the bomb, though it is understood that as of this writing it has been moved to an undisclosed Miklanian Navy vessel.

The bomb was dropped from an aircraft that took off from a Wellsian Army Air Base Northwest Haven some 800 miles from the coast. The bomb did not detonate and fell into the ocean. It was located in over 12,500 feet of water. Concerns about the potential environmental hazard posed by the radioactive material in the bomb were diffused by the Navy, who claim that the bomb was not leaking radiation. The Navy further stated that the delicate mechanism which detonates a nuclear fission bomb was so severely damaged by the impact with the water that it is impossible for the device to detonate.

Intercessor, a Savior class rescue and salvage ship, is homeported at Northwynne. The Nautica is one of two DWV-1 class submersibles operated by the RMN. It is capable of diving up to 15,000 feet below the surface, and can be used for scientific as well as recovery missions.

On Government: Checks and balances and ways of stopping things from happening are the only things that provide a stable government and a stable society.

On Democracy: It is a very neutral thing. It can be the best way of ensuring a reasonable government, or it can lead to genocide in the name of 'the people'.

On NSG: I believe the technical term for you people is "malformed conscience".

On society: Until reason and science become cool again, the "enlightened" who profess both but practice neither will continue to gleefully chip away at the bedrock of human society.

Illa Isle Submits Request for $100M Loan for "Humanitarian Aid" to Noronnican International Development Fund

This morning, now-President Ignacio Campos announced his submission of a request for loan monies from the Noronnican International Development Fund for use in humanitarian initiatives throughout Illa Isle.

"Vancouvia has robbed us of our economic footing for the last half-decade. They have enslaved our children for their own profit, stolen wheat from our fields and coins from our own pockets. They have scorched our earth with hyper-capitalism and modern colonialism. They have corrupted or claimed our businesses. And what have they blessed us with? Base Tern and its patrols to keep us in line. We were little but a breadbasket for the rich elites in Yorkford and Vesuvius. Now we are our own country. Now we must rebuild," spoke Campos in Spanish in his daily press briefing this morning outside the Mayor's Building.

The funds would be committed solely towards providing water, food, and shelter for the civilian population, claimed Campos, although that begs the question why Campos didn't request the food itself, although self-sufficiency seems to be a chief concern of the new government.

Illa Isle proclaimed independence on July 5th, more than three weeks ago. Since then, despite repeated Vancouvian warnings, there has been very little actual fighting between the rebellious island and the Vancouvian military. There has been at least 14 confirmed UAV strikes on the island itself, but these were mostly against rural military targets and port facilities in Westilla.

Analysts speculate that Vancouvia does not wish to become embroiled in yet another conflict. Analyst Mario Mendez commented, "It just doesn't seem financially viable for Vancouvia to fight in what would likely be a long and bloody war - and they don't really need to. Economic sanctions put into place against Illa, along with the blockade, have significantly affected Illa's ability to feed, train, and recruit military forces, not to mention stirring up civilian cries for reversing the independence movement."

Illa has also called for "similar nations of heritage, creed, policy, and character" to assist with financial, political, and military aid, including Weinam, Thuzbekistan, Athara Magarat, and Belle Ilse en Terre.

WEINAM TO SEND MILITARY AID TO ILLA ISLE

Image
Military Planes due to leave Weinam for Illa Isle

Weinam has agreed to send military and humanitarian aid to the tiny island of Illa Isle. The micro nation, who recently declared independence from Vancouvia has pleaded for help with financial, humanitarian and military aid, to which Weinam has agreed to send help.

Initially thought to be around 2000 troops, Weinam will send supplies and equipment with a future plan to send further aid once the island is better secured. The Weinamese Navy and Marines are also sending ship bound supplies which would total around 3200 Weinamese personnel. It is unclear what Vancouvia would say or do with Weinam's announcement but Weinam has said that will help the island regardless of threat or international concern.

Supplies could arrive in Illa Isle as soon as Saturday evening with Navy supplies arriving around Monday morning.

Del Agua City, July 27, 2018

|Surrender Looms in Del Agua City|
11-day siege appears nearly over as the city suffers from lack of water and food due to Republican raids on Guadalupana supply lines. The mayor of Del Agua City has offered the city's surrender to the Republican Congress. Along with the surrender, the mayor has requested the safe evacuation of Guadalupana rebels from the city and an agreement to respect Jimenean Church property, meaning no harm would come to the National Cathedral. The commander of the Republican army surrounding Del Agua City stated that the agreement was reasonable and would prevent bloodshed of civilians.

|Guadalupana Rebels Organize a Provisional Government|
Guadalupana Rebels have officially established a "shadow government" in the state of Teran in the city of Michael, which exceeds only about 2,000 residents. Many suggest that the reason for this location is for the flexibility to relocate in the event of a Republican invasion or siege of the town. It is also deep in Guadalupana territory with little to no Republican presence. The Jimenean government has denied the Guadalupana's legitimacy of a sovereign government and has reassured it's claim of it being nothing more than a terror organization. Although the Guadalupanas have claimed a sovereign government, their claim on the whole of the Jimenean island remains. The new government also lacks a formal president, even more so, there is no way of choosing one, giving the new "government" serious issues. A total of 14 former representatives have arrived in Michael from across the island to form the provisional congress, however, its legitimacy is almost, if not entirely, unknown or recognized by any state or organization. Guadalupana sympathizers have even gone as far as to petition for state secession in the area for a hope of having some degree of sovereignty, however, most secessionists were arrested including secessionist leaders in Maladium Island, a state that seemed most likely to comply due to recent government subjugation. As a whole, hopes for secession have been an apparent failure and efforts seemingly in vain. President Canone, a prominent figure of the old Jimenean government, has stated his support for the Guadalupanas and has offered his efforts to draft a constitution for the provisional government.

It seems as if the Guadalupana cause has been dashed even before it manages to get off the ground, supporters have remained silent due to frequent government arrests and Republican occupation throughout the nation.

Thank you for choosing the Gran Teran Gazette, we will update you as always as more information is given, goodnight!

BREAKING: REPUBLICANS SET DEL AGUA ABLAZE,
JIMENEAN BISHOPS ASSUMED DEAD IN CATHEDRAL FIRE.

Del Agua City, July 28, 2018, 4:37 am.

We bring you urgent news tonight as reports have come in from Del Agua City that the Republican siege has ended with Republican forces storming the city and attacking Guadalupana regiments, who were unprepared since they were preparing to leave the city peacefully with the thought that the agreement would be accepted. At approximately 3:30 am this morning, Republican forces broke from their encampments on the outskirts of the city and began the assault into the city as Guadalupana Rebels batteries were inactive due to relocation. It is expected that at least 12,000 Republican forces were present compared to an estimate of only 2,000 Guadalupanas perhaps even less than that.

At 4:00 am, Republican forces reached the heart of the city and began setting it ablaze, raiding rebel encampments, local businesses, and civilian homes. Republican bombardments made it impossible to make an escape from the city along with Republican brigades being deployed on roads to and from the city, preventing any travel as the assault was carried out. Guadalupanas struggled to resist against the Republican assault towards the National Cathedral which was further downtown and were forced into retreat after 224 rebels were killed. Guadalupana commander, Lupe de La Cruz, ordered his men to take shelter in the city's buildings and carry out ranged attacks against the mobilizing Republicans. He also ordered for rebel documents and plans to be destroyed before they could fall to the Republican forces. In little time, the Republicans stormed the Guadalupana's main depot killing Lupe de La Cruz along with 12 military officers. Republican forces captured at least 500 rebels as they swept through the depot and encampments in the nearby area. After the depot fell, Del Aguan civilians fled towards the Republican lines hoping for escape. The Republican commander allowed each group of Del Aguans to escape, but they were to be kept in the Republican encampments for prosecution in the suspicion of any being sympathetic towards the Guadalupanas.

With Republicans now occupying and sacking most of the city, Republican forces set their sights on the National Cathedral and the Church missions around it. Republican forces surrounded the Cathedral and began launching projectiles on the Cathedral's towers to strike fire upon the building. Finally, Republicans showered the building with oil hoping to spread the flames as well as launching tear gas through the windows where the bishops were apparently taking refuge. Moments into the fire, a large banner of the Jimenean Catholic Church flew upon the mast of the Cathedral's bell tower, ordered by the Cardinal Pius III. As Republican forces continued adding fire to the building, countless priests and religious sisters ran out of the building with their hands in the air prompting their surrender. The soldiers began to fire upon the surrendering clergy due to strict orders from the Republican Congress to take no prisoners from the Church, against the Republican commander's, Ronae Phillip's, wishes.

As the flames grew larger, the roof the of Cathedral collapsed and much screaming came from inside the building as smoke filled the sky from debris and the burning structure. Large statues of the Virgin Mary, Jesus Christ, and other Jimenean Saints were torn down and destroyed as soldiers laid waste to the surrounding areas of the Cathedral, regarded by many Jimenean Catholics to be sacred. The statue of Saint Bolivar Jimenez, the nation's namesake, atop the Cathedral holding a gold crucifix said to be presented by the Virgin Mary during her ancient apparition, was torn down by ropes and the golden crucifix was trampled upon by the many soldiers as they continued throwing flaming torches at the Church. The most disturbing of this news is the following:

When the flames finally ceased, the scorched body of Cardinal Pius III was found near the Church's main tabernacle, where his lifeless body was holding a golden chalice, more than likely celebrating mass one final time before his death with his fellow bishops. Soldiers proceeded to strip his body of his burnt vestments and White Reformer sympathizers took the body and hung it upon a makeshift cross in front of the Cathedral's doors. The bodies of the other bishops were piled up in front of the tabernacle and burnt further, the last remains being buried in the center of the smoldering Cathedral in a mass grave. The bodies of the priests and other religious orders were also added to the mass grave soon after. Republican officers raised a large Republican banner over the ruins as a symbol of the "Conquered Jimenean Catholic Church". It is unclear whether there were any survivors of the assault on the Church, if there is any information, we do not know it at this time.

The Guadaupana rebels in the city have all either been killed or captured, their fate, still unknown. We will bring you more information after the story unravels, thank you, have a safe night.

ANTONITE, COVONANT - Cosie needed many things to overcome a Athara Magarat team playing out of their minds: 30 minutes of extra time, an unjust red card, and the most gruesome display of footballing guile since Beminaire Julius started managing the national squad. But overcome they did, for the Cosians defeated Athara Magarat 2-1 to book their place in the final of the MSFC Cup. In a battle between two talented sides, it was The Crocs who've made themselves football's apex predators in the Mesder Sea.

Fans from both sides of the region gathered at Antonite Athletic Park and Stadium expecting an exciting match, but they probably didn't expect one with as much bad blood (figuratively and literally) between the two. All seemed well during the pre-match introductions; the Cosian players and staff shook hands with their Magarati counterparts, and what interactions they've had before the match were, at the very least, cordial. The match itself started off clean and sporting for the first eight minutes.

But in the ninth minute, all hell broke loose. Athara Magarat prepared to defend their area against a Cosian corner. Magarati midfielder Hemant Rai tried to position himself ahead of Cosian captain Carlos Fontana when Danny He took the corner. Fontana, with some force, shoved Rai from the back; as Rai attempted to regain his balance, his outstretched arm struck the ball as it was being headed into Athara Magarat's net.

The referee called Rai's foul and, deeming him as denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity, booted him out of the match with a straight red card. Shockingly, Fontana's own foul went uncalled by the ref, despite video replays showing his action wasn't so legal itself. Cosie was awarded a penalty as a result, and to say that the Magaratis in the stadium were furious would be putting it lightly. The referee brooked none of the Magarati players' objections as he firmly pointed to the spot.

Star striker Royce Funan took his place at the penalty spot against Magarati keeper Ankit Maharjan. Funan had missed a few penalties in his short but storied career. He made sure he didn't miss this one as the center-forward shot the ball out of Maharjan's reach into the net. The successful penalty gave Funan his 5th goal from the past 4 international games; he clearly relished taking on opposition from the Western Isles.

With one less player on the field, the Magaratis were not going to take this injustice sitting down. Once Athara Magarat restarted the match, they began to dispense their own bits of underhanded techniques on the Cosians to repay the favour. Shirt pulls, foot stamps, and intentional trips went unsighted by officials as the Magaratis worked to take possession away from The Crocs.

Athara Magarat's cunning was rewarded in the 25th minute. Magarati left-back Kaji Man Iwahang pushed Cosian winger Asric Casan off the ball and went on a deep run down the flank. Cosian right-back Bruce Hines-Bocarty's attempted tackle on Iwahang missed its mark, leaving Iwahang free to fire a shot at Cosie's keeper Roman Dubois. Dubois, unfortunately, couldn't stop Iwahang's sublime shot from crossing the line. Iwahang has scored three times in the Western Isle Cup qualifiers as well as the MSFC Cup; no Magarati striker has earned more goals than the left-back in that time.

Cosie, not wanting to be outdone by Athara Magarat, fought back against the Magaratis by pulling out their own assortment of underhanded tricks. Both teams got into the act of pulling and pushing each other in their attempts to break the deadlock and take the lead. In one instance, Cosian left-back Danny He delayed Athara Magarat's attempt to make a throw-in by dribbling the ball away. In another, Magarati midfielder Miraj Rabansi "accidentally" stepped on Cosie's Enrique Ellton, having tripped him over when the two were off the ball. Any trace of the Magarati side who won the 2017 Isles Cup Fair Play Award was nowhere to be found this year.

The officials, for their part, did little to punish the players for their misconduct, handing out bookings only when the fouls committed were as clear as day. Athara Magarat got their only yellow in the match when Kiran Yohimbang was caught palming Cosie's Belomouc in the face. Ross Donrick earned the first of Cosie's yellows by making an excessive sliding tackle on Khiman Hangbang's shins, while Asric Casan found himself booked for diving when he fell in front of Magarati center-back Toran Shrestha.

Cosie's next yellow, courtesy of center-back Lapuin Deviya, almost cost Cosie the match. One minute into stoppage time of the 2nd half, Deviya was caught tussling with Magarati forward Firoz Suhang just outside of the box. The ref stopped play to hand Deviya his booking, but not without pointing to the penalty spot in the process. It was the Cosians' turn to lash out at the referee on his unexpected (and most certainly incorrect) decision, but the referee ignored their calls to undo his decision.

Cosian keeper Roman Dubois was surely unhappy with having to deal with his third penalty in four matches. Suhang, on the other hand, must have felt immense pressure, knowing that converting the penalty would virtually send Athara Magarat off to the grand final of the MSFC Cup. Alas, it was not meant to be for Suhang as his shot struck the crossbar to bounce over the net. Dubois must not have felt any better, knowing that the goalpost has done more to preserve Cosie's chances than his own attempts.

The match eventually went into extra time, and players on both sides were already feeling the effects of such a grueling, aggressive match. The Cosians were getting sloppier in their attempts to cheat the officials, while the Magaratis were struggling to find the energy to create chances at the opposite end.

In the 110th minute, Cosian substitute Tyrone Roxas intercepted a pass by Athara Magarat's Sabin Jimbuhang, where he then passed the ball to teammate Asric Casan, who was running down the flank on his right. An exhausted Kaji Man Iwahang tried to contain the winger in his attempt to run into the box, only for the left-back to trip over himself when Casan pulled a slick step-over to get past him. Casan's shot was parried away by Magarati keeper Maharjan, only for winger Belomouc to ricochet the ball back into goal.

Cosie took the lead through Belomouc's goal, and they took the win with them by the end of the match.

A cacophony of sounds could be heard throughout Antonite Athletic Park and Stadium. At one end, you could hear the jubilant cheers of Cosian supporters celebrating The Crocs' victory. In the middle, you could hear the neutral crowd voicing their appreciation (and concern) for the entertainment both sides provided. But the loudest noise came from the other end, where scores of Magarati fans rained booes on their national side, for they had failed to fulfil the lofty expectations hoist upon them.

Cosie enters the grand final of the MSFC Cup at Athara Magarat's expense. They'll be looking to get their revenge on Verona Beach in a rematch of their WIC Mesder qualifier. Many Cosians have yet to forgive Verona Beach, who beat WIC champions Norstham in their own semifinal match, for the handball that lead to their previous victory over The Crocs. The Cosian team will need to be more wary than ever of Verona Beach's "Russian Three", with Andy Paczik in hot form as one of the Isles' most prolific goalscorers.

Cosie's Reactions

Cosie's national football team came out of their 2-1 victory over Athara Magarat very battered and very bruised, and national team manager Beminaire Julius was well aware of this.

"I must admit, I thought today's match was a bit more violent than usual," said Julius in the post-match conference. "But, you see, there are times in life when you have to dig deep into your work to get the results you desire. If getting to the (MSFC Cup) final meant having our boys dig deep into the flesh of our opposition, well..."

Julius chuckled. "I'm not saying that's what we did, by the way. You know our boys would never stoop so low!" said the Cosian manager with a twinkle in his eye.

With Verona Beach as The Crocs' final opponent in the MSFC Cup, Julius is confident that Cosie won't lose once again to the nation that last beat them.

"Our boys have grown leaps and bounds since we've last faced off against each other," said Julius. "Granted, we've only had two games after that last defeat, but they were games that we've convincingly won against very strong teams. We've always had the talent, but this time, we've picked up the hunger to win too. With all due respect to Verona Beach, this tournament is ours to lose."

"With all due respect to Verona Beach, this tournament is ours to lose."
- Beminaire Julius, national team manager

Julius's assistant manager, Antonio Beck, was present to discuss other matters regarding the Cosian national team.

"I've checked with our physios earlier," said Beck when asked about the players' health. "We're mostly healthy, thank the Lord. Some of the boys will have to carry the bruises with them to the next match, but by and large, we have nothing serious."

Beck also noted that defensive midfielder Ross Donrick would miss the MSFC Cup final as he was booked in back-to-back matches. "Thankfully, we have Hamal (Serna) available for the next match against Verona Beach. Of course, it hurts for us, and for Ross, to have his imposing presence missing on a big game like this, but I believe Gamal will be well up to the challenge of keeping the Veronese midfield out of play."

Back on the Layman Island, news of Cosie's victory over Athara Magarat was met with resounding cheers.

"I don't remember the last time our football team had been so successful in the span of two months," said Dominic Gutierres, a local baseball player. "Maybe the Western Isles make for easier opponents compared to the big boys out there in North America. But hey, if weaker opposition means more W's for The Crocs, then I'm all for it."

Despite missing out on making the national squad this round, Rizal Madrigal, a footballer in the Cosian Strikers League, is cheering for Cosie to continue their great run in the tournament.

"This is, by far, Cosie's best chance at winning an international trophy," said Madrigal. "I wasn't even born when the team last won a tournament away from Cosian waters. I'll admit, it hurts a little to see The Crocs doing very well without me in the setup, but it also makes me smile to see the team doing very well in the first place. Here's hoping that the team will beat Verona Beach and get themselves some silverware. 'Mon de Crocs!"

Out for Cosie

6 - Ross Donrick (1 match, consecutive yellows).

Charbagnian War Comes To An End

Image
ARRF in the State of Enkerk
After the shocking terrorist attack on the late Charbagnian President, Kurt Weinreb, the Charbagnian War has drawn to a close. The incident occured from the First Charbagnian Federal Bank, as the President gave a speech on the pretence that the Charbagnian economy was flourishing under his personal dictatorship.

The President, many in his civilian cabinet and more than 100 civilians were killed by the explosion, with at least 400 casualties. This attack shocked many in both the allied forces and Charbagnia, and as the obviously shaken Prime Minister of Charbagnia took to the role of President, he wished for nothing more than unconditional surrender.

At this time, the Argean Rapid Response Force and its allies were held down by the Charbagnian troops in the army base of Denderberg, while the Rajbansi Horde of the Athara Magarati National Army took further ground in the state of Clermont. After managing to break through the Charbagnian line alongside extensive air support from F-19 Aingael fighters, Denderberg Army Base was captured. It was then that allied commanders received word from the Charbagnian leadership that they would surrender.

General Brian Gulling of the Noronnican Armed Forces, the person leading Operation Swift Resolution, stated that he was 'overjoyed by the Charbagnian decision' and he hoped that 'peace would reign again in Charbagnia'. General Gulling, alongside other allied leaders, made it clear that now was 'not the time to leave', and that a peace conference would be held later these coming weeks to determine the fate of Charbagnia.

NIDF Answers The Call

Image
Illa Isle - Information
The Noronnican International Development Fund has today decided to accept the territory of Illa Isle's submitted request for a loan of $100 million. This deal comes from the recent declaration of independence from Illa Isle, a former territory of one of Noronica's closest allies, Vancouvia.

This highly controversial move has been met with the calm and sensible approach of Sarah Khan, the Press Correspondent for the NIDF. Above all, she stressed that this was a purely humanitarian effort and would not in any shape or form show support to the political situation.

"With this new loan, the Noronnican International Development Fund is doing all it can to support the ordinary working lives of the people of the Western Isles. Today, it happens to be the islanders of Illa Isle. In giving this support, we expect to see Illa Isle return to stability and progress, as we give our money in confidence that this shall be used wisely. To calm the many involved parties of this situation, we are also sending a team from the NIDF to ensure that Illa Isle's economic policies are sensible and ensure prosperity."

Lord Finely Phillips, Secretary of International Development in His Majesty's Government, expressed his 'clear and unwavering support' of the NIDF.

"The Noronnican Government always has the uttermost confidence in the NIDF in that it is able to provide safe and stable economic aid to its borrowing nations and territories. We have watched the situation in Illa Isle with much concern, and we desperately hope that the islanders are able to rebuild lives, even after the shocking separation from Vancouvia. We are currently monitoring the situation closely in Illa Isle, and are working alongside the Vancouvian Congress to see what may become of this situation."

New NIDF Scheme Writes Off Debt

Image
NIDF Headquarters, Nolon City
It was an exciting moment for many economic journalists today, due to the new announcement from the Noronnican International Development Fund's Headquarters in Market Street, Nolon City. With half the year gone, the NIDF stated that 'times were changing' and that a new scheme would be implemented in the next coming weeks to ensure a more comprehensive and borrower-friendly repayment system.

The new scheme is called the 'Investment Agreement'. It only applies to nations and territories that take part in the current funding scheme in the NIDF, as it works to try and lift pressure on their repayments. So, how does the deal work? The deal is reciprocal. The NIDF agrees to write off a portion of the debt incurred by the expenditures on nations taking on funding in the hopes of opening up deals for foreign investment. This allows for the regional economy to flourish, and it also allows the nation taking on funding to flourish.

The new scheme came about after more and more concerning reports of the rising debt in Athara Magarat from various different payments taken on. The NIDF agreed that for its continued confidence in the nation's ability to repay its own funding, it hopes to relieve some of the debt incurred. Hunter Defence Systems in Noronica has already expressed interest in the deal, in a statement yesterday, Gary Brendan, CEO of Hunter Defence Systems, had this to say:

"We hope that with this new scheme, Athara Magarat and the HDS may reach a new partnership. We have already grown a bond due to Athara Magarat's keen interest in its own defence, but be it helping fund new schools, infrastructure or further defence agreements, we hope to invest in Athara Magarat."

The NIDF, in going through with this venture, might have created a very exciting deal for borrowing nations, allowing for them to flourish rather than become stagnant with debt.

The Chancers Take GFA North Champion Title

Image
McKay and Cearbhaill hug post-match
The sun had gone, the rain had left the pitch with a soft wet glow, and eyes were wide with exhilaration and intent. Tensions were high, and the old football nations of Noronica and Ostehaar stood head-to-head. The match was intense, with both sides closing in on each other at every opportunity. When the first goal hit its mark, there was very little celebration as players went back, a steely resolve in their eyes.

What a day that was. Noronica served some phenomenal goals from McKay and Cearbhaill, Cearbhaill coming into save the day as he secured a tie at the end of the match. There were two yellow cards given to Florence Onno and Hugh McLean. The ref wasn't popular, to say the least, when McLean got his. Many here in the NMC studio couldn't understand the reasoning either. "The ref works in mysterious ways," was the half-hearted response from Football-legend Alex Gwynon.

Still, the game was good, and the fans were not let down by some excellent balancing between forward and defence. Oster goalkeeping seemed unbeatable as the Chancers tried again and again at a chance to hit a goal. The tie signified the intense battle between Oster forward Ari Vehes and Noronnican Farquhar McKay, two prominent players in the teams, both fighting to send their teams to glory.

Despite the match ending in a tie, with the score accumulated by Noronica over this past month, Noronica has secured itself high up in the Gael leaderboard as is now entering the IFAF Cup ready to take on the Isles.

WEINAM TO OFFICIALLY RENOUNCE COMMUNISM

Image

Weinam has announced a historic landmark decision to renounce communism and adopt a democratic system of government. President Lin Zheng unveiled the decision to change Weinam's direction within the world this morning, which is likely to shock the region and the world. Weinam has officially been recognized as a communist state since 1949, which has seen it grow from a tiny indigenous state to a global power. In her speech, President Zheng said that:

"Communism in Weinam is dying. What will replace it is a Weinam shaping it’s economic and political model to fit what one could call a ‘Socialist- Capitalist’ political and economic model with a government run under a ‘meritocratic’ system. Weinam’s private sector can rise from zero to probably somewhere around 70% of the corporate sector in value, the State Owned Enterprise's representing only about 3% of all listed companies. Weinam is still a society of change, it is evolving into a government and economic system that will embrace all its citizens and bring affluence for all 29 million people.

Weinam will turn all big companies owned by the central government into limited liability firms or joint-stock firms by the end of 2018, as Teikong looks to make its state-owned giants more nimble as part of broader reforms of the capital market. Teikong has been trying to reform state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and to create globally competitive conglomerates in sectors including power generation, railways, shipping and chemicals. About 90 percent of Weinam's state-owned firms have already completed such restructuring, which helped improve their governance structures and management.

Weinam is now at a historic point in it's existence. We have been under the banner of communism for too long and it is the right time to bring a democratic foundation, structure and strength to Weinam. We have around 29 million people in this country who deserve a stronger and better Weinam, a Weinam that can work with the international community for the mutual benefit of all and work together for a stronger and healthier future. We have a lot of work to do both domestically and internationally with this change but I am confident that Weinam's new direction is the right direction".

The news of Weinam's change will likely shock and confuse the world. Weinam has usually been seen as the 'bad guy' in the world and this announcement may seem like a odd dream, but Lin Zheng announced to the world that Weinam was changing it's direction within the world and the new direction will bring a clean slate to Weinam, a chance to start afresh and rebuild Weinam into a democratic super power for the worlds benefit.

PRISON ESCAPE NEAR KILÂMKALLU

KILÂMKALLU - Fear has gripped Kilâmkallu today as Shaspêvman Prison, fifteen miles to the west of the city, was struck by thus far unidentified terrorist forces. While the attack was repelled by prison guards, they were unable to prevent the escape of several key prisoners during the chaos of the attack. Between 30 and 50 prisoners escaped during the attack, with at least fifteen captured in the immediate aftermath.

The attack began at 6:30 AM local time, during a major shift change. Representatives at the prison state that explosive devices were set off at several points along the walls. While most of the bombs were unable to cause significant damage or failed to detonate, several caused significant damage to the exterior defenses of the prison, including an east facing gate. Two small propeller planes proceeded to strafe the prison, dropping further homemade explosive devices, while vehicles approached from up the desert road. Approximately forty individuals, failing to identify immediately with any known rebel group, attacked prison guards with automatic gunfire and melee weapons. As combat raged, the attackers made sure to release as many prisoners as possible, leading to further chaos as these prisoners proceeded to attack guards and make for exits. After fifteen minutes of combat, attacking forces withdrew. The guards locked down the prison and riots continued for another twenty minutes until they were quelled by the arrival of local military forces from the city.

"We are not at liberty to discuss the specifics of those prisoners contained at our facility," said prison warden Hitap Kitu'a Axampa. "However, we can say that we were unprepared for this form of attack and several very important and very dangerous prisoners managed to escape."

It is at this point unknown whether this attack was meant as a generalized attack against local government infrastructure or whether it was a targetted escape ploy for one of the prisoners released.

"It seems at this point that the intent was to cause chaos," said Kitu'a, "but we cannot rule out any motive until the Pride investigates."

Citizens in Kilâmkallu fear for their lives as these fugitives go free. "If they are coming anywhere first, it is here," said one concerned civilian. "It is not like they are going to wander around the desert."

Shaspêvman Prison has been the brunt of international human rights groups criticism in the past. According to sources, living conditions in the prison are "unbearable" and treatment of prisoners is considered "inhumane at the best of times". Much of the prison lacks proper environmental controls, and deaths from heat stroke or exposure are common.

"These prisoners are the most dangerous that we have as a nation," responded Kitu'a in March when asked about prison conditions. "Even if we could afford better, do they deserve it?"

GOVERNMENT APPLAUDS WEINAM REFORMS, MIKLANIAN NUCLEAR BOMB RECLAMATION

SHUHAKALLU - Speaking on behalf of the Sâtêp this morning, 'uhitap a Tempore Tatta announced a "firm approval for the announcement" made by Weinam that they would be shifting away from Communism.

"This is an important step in regional security and stability," Tatta said. "Another communist enemy of the Mênnan state has found sense."

Tatta announced that this move would serve as a "clean slate between our two nations", and could serve as the beginning of a "potential partnership to strengthen the security and clout of the Central Argus region".

"We must reach out to potential allies now more than ever," Tatta said. "We cannot continue to toe a line of fearful equivocation when Mênnan security is so tenuous."

Tatta went on to reaffirm his condemnation of Wellsia in the face of their failed nuclear test. Wellsia continues to maintain that the bomb was dropped by third party actors and not by their state apparatus.

"Incompetent or hostile, Wellsia has to answer for its mistakes," Tatta said.

He proceeded to applaud Miklanian recovery efforts, but requested that the Miklanian government "carefully consider their options" in handling the failed device.

"This is evidence of one of the greatest political blunders in recent memory," said Tatta. "How Miklania handles the situation will shape the history that we write of these moments."

International Sanctions Leveled at Thuzbek People, Workers

In an atrocious act of partisan behavior, the League of the Western Isles has passed a resolution which encouraged its members to levy sanctions against the Thuzbek Worker.

The sanctions come as a response to accusations from the Capitalist Allied forces in Orsandia of supporting the People's Liberation Force, a communist force that has been fighting against the illegitimate government of Orsandia since January. In a report filled with Oster supplied intelligence, the delegate from Dormill and Stiura made a war-mongering speech in the league chambers.

While at first the National Government sent a representative to defend Thuzbekistan against these baseless charges, it quickly became apparent that the visit was useless as no chance was given for a true defense, no investigation was to be mounted, and not justice done to the ideological minority of communism. Instead, the representative to the league found a hostile environment meant only for the chastisement of the our nation.

Representative Yonca Aytaç, a local MP for the Ashluv area, graced Thuzbek State News with an interview after she left the chambers and returned home from the International District. In it, she described the overly hostile and primarily male environment.

"As soon as I entered the chambers, there was a target painted across my chest," she said during the interview. "Instead of a diplomatic setting where disputes are settled, I found the Dormill-Stiuraian delegate to be leading a hostile charge against us. He even threatened war should the resolution fail to pass."

Talk of war was ultimately the reason Yonca left the chambers.

"When it became obvious that the talk of war was not going to cease, the decision was made to abandon the proceedings immediately," she said about the incident. "We cannot tolerate being summoned to a hall of peace and cooperation to be chastised based on limited to no information and without ample opportunity to defend ourselves in a court of international law."

Following the introduction of the Oster Report, our ally, Weinam, announced that they too would be placing sanctions on us. Only days afterwards, Weinamese officials denounced Communism.

"This is a reckless act of fear and greed," a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said. "We have since cancelled the war games with Weinam, have issued orders to withdraw our diplomatic staff, and issued a travel advisory to our citizens as we do not know what such a reckless and irresponsible nation may do to our citizens."

Weinamese companies were also issued Cease and Desist orders this morning.

"As a result of cowardice and greed, our one close ally has turned against us. As such, their companies are no longer allowed to operate in Thuzbekistan and their staff have 30 days to begin leaving the nation." Azul Barshlan, the FWC chairman said in a statement.

It is unclear what caused this massive change in our ally, but it comes at the moment that the capitalists descend upon our nation in their hypocritical sanctions and inflammatory statements.

This has been Thuzbek State News.

Capital Moved South

With lawlessness on the rise throughout the Ilse the King has chosen to move the capital to the south, to the small of Gloria, his ancestral seat. With him has moved much that remains of the government, following the mysterious absence of a number of leading nobles and socialists. Many military units formerly garrisoned in the city have moved south as well, though mostly paid men-at-arms remain with the King, for most knights have withdrawn to their estates. The navy has also left Ost-in-Edhil for an undisclosed location. Ost-in-Edhil is now without order or law. It is advisable to leave the city until further notice, lest the now rising violence erupt into rioting.

Ilsan English Regressing

Though Angers had left its past Germanic elements behind with the invasion, including specific verb location in the second spot and specific declensions, as well as a genitive case, and had inherited characteristics of the invasion French, it appears to be regressing towards its more original state. These trends are mostly selective, and manifested through the replacement of perceived “French” words with Kennings, and the re-introduction of the Angers genitive case, ‘thes’, ‘ther’, ‘theses’ for the masculine, feminine, and plural cases. While this trend is fairly new, it appears to be substantial and will likely continue on with educational concurrence.
