Department Head of Foreign Relations Leon Muscov Found Guilty of Corruption - Publicly Executed in the Capital
Lean Muscov, the Head of Foreign Relations for the Empire, had been discovered earlier this month of embezzling appropriated government funding towards his department for his own personal gain. Upon this discovery, Imperial Police apprehended the corrupt official and searched his belongings. Further evidence of this theft was found after the search, and his guilt was made clear. Earlier today, Muscov was sent to Poysk and publicly executed by a firing squad made up of five members of the Imperial Guard.
The man who reported him, Hawke Popov, has been awarded a medal of national patriotism, and promoted to the new Head of Foreign Relations by the Empress herself.
The Empress made no statement, prompting Popov to explain his view of the scenario.
The process of handling this treason was quick and effective, and I would expect nothing less from our Empire. I believe the Empress saw her actions as louder than her words, as thousands attended the event today. It is a day of celebration, and proof that all are equal in the eyes of the law. That treasonous man would have gotten away with his crimes just ten years ago, and I am proud of the changes that have been made to our wonderful country.
