Police release new information regarding the EFA plane explosion
Police have confirmed that the death toll for the Eastern Federation Airlines plane explosion, has risen to 9 upon inspection of the plane.
Police have also discovered remnants of a bag containing pieces of metal, wires, and what appears to be a watch.
Commissioner James Rankin spoke with us today:

"We are certain that this is a deliberate attack on the plane. We have discovered a bag containing the hallmarks of an improvised explosive device, under seat 13A. We have also confirmed that the death toll has risen to 9."

Benito Franco has declared himself sovereign Ruler of a fascist San Montagna, following the coup which began yesterday, What Remained of the Government Fled to neighboring countries, while Those who stayed were put into captivity. It has come to the King's attention that most unfortunate event occurred, allegedly in the waters of Volkegoth. Ostensibly, a warship from Belle Ilse en Terre assaulted and looted a Volkegothic ship containing electronic goods bound for the Capital. These knights, performing there duties, were not, in any way ordered by the King. His Majesty Graciously offers his apology and an indemnity of 1.000.000 livres, in compensation for the loss. He has also ordered that naval unit, and any others, back to San Montagna or the Ilse.

President urges nations to preserve peace and democracy

BHINNEKA, Kabar Sahari - Following a series of events which have led to increasing tensions in the South Mesder Sea, the government has decided to respond to the looming threat of war in the area. Although Samudera is not close to the South Mesder, the government feels a responsibility to guard the international order of peace and democracy that has prevailed for years.

President Justuva Susanto delivered his speech this morning.

We as a nation have endured years of war ourselves, struggling to keep what we are enjoying now - peace, democracy and stability. We do not want other nations to fall into the pit of conflict that we found ourselves in not long ago. Sacrifices are needed to preserve this stability, just like many wise heroes have done in the past. Now, Samudera urges the nations involved in the situation to calm down and come to the negotiating table. No one wants a war further down the road, moreover having to take part in one.

Regarding Samudera’s stance, the President has stated that the nation will be neutral in the situation.

We are adhering to a ‘free and active’ foreign policy which seeks to play a role in regional affairs that commensurates with our size and location. However we are committed to avoiding involvement in conflicts among major powers.

The President also addressed Athara Magarat’s Ticking Flu epidemic, which was revealed just under a week ago. Effective measures have been taken to combat the spread of ticking flu to Samudera, whilst adhering to the CU’s freedom of movement between nations.

Intensive health checks have been mandated in all points of entry, most notably at airports which have arrivals from Athara Magarat. The government has not closed the border yet, but has strongly advised Samuderans to not go to Athara Magarat.

The government awaits the decisions of the Cooperative Union surrounding the shocking epidemic in Athara Magarat. Samudera’s National Health Agency have cooperated with their Ahnslen counterparts to prevent the further spread of Ticking Flu to Gael. Infection from Atnaia has been preventing, notably through a travel ban and trade restrictions.

Whilst it is safe to say that war in the South Mesder is almost inevitable, whether it be soon or in the future, the President clarified that wars can be prevented and this one is no exception.

Athara Magarati War on Terror begins

The Chepang launches a Thunderbolt missile into air to strike 'terrorist hideouts'.

Just a day after Jrm Hangma declared a 'war on terror' against SHOCK alongside SOAR and all other terrorist groups in the Isles, missile strikes were carried out by the Athara Magarati National Army (popularly referred to as the Dragon Army) on targets in mainland Athara Magarat and the highly autonomous Kachee Sultanate.

Immediately after she was sworn in as the 'interim leader', Jrm Hangma reportedly ordered ships to be sent to the Lotus Sea. Four Naga-class missile ships - Kumal, Chepang, Tamu and Thakali arrived near Volkegoth waters early morning in September 21st. The Chepang and Thakali are said to have fired a Thunderbolt missile each into the intended targets in the less populated and 'terrorist-infested' outskirts of Yul, the capital of Kachee Sultanate.

An officer from the Athara Magarati military requesting anonymity stated that the missiles had been launched from a position quite near the Volkegoth waters and the two missiles had both flown approximately 1,500 km (930 miles). Dramatic footage of the missiles being launched and lighting up the morning sky were broadcast live on Athara Magarati television.

Soldiers who fought in the gunfight are thanked by a senior military officer.

Similarly, Athara Magarati troops working with Armed Police Force of Athara Magarat and Vancouvian soldiers combed the forests around Arun Valley and arrested 6 members of SHOCK after a long gunfight that lasted for 2 hours and left 3 other SHOCK members dead. Authorities have not stated the identities of the dead SHOCK personals except that a Bhikkustani refugee was among those who had died in the firefight.

The Dragon Army, Armed Police Force and their Vancouvian allies also managed to locate the hideout of the terrorists in the heart of the forest. Valuable items and weapons in the hideout were photographed and confiscated before the place was bombed into oblivion by a flight of FM5 Seraphims.

Sultan Iskander Ali Erkinov of Kachee Sultanate termed the missile strikes 'unwarranted'.

While there was joyous celebration in mainland Athara Magarat that had curfew imposed to prevent the spread of Ticking Flu after the death of over 30,000 Athara Magarati citizens and some Vancouvian soldiers, people took to streets in Kachee Sultanate to protest the missile strikes. Even Sultan Iskander Ali Erkinov questioned the legality of such unwarranted move that resulted in 'unnecessary death and destruction'. He demanded that the Athara Magarati government consult with him before carrying out such strikes the next time. Jrm Hangma responded to such statements by saying that Kachee Sultanate was part of Athara Magarat and she was the Hangma of Athara Magarat and her orders were final. She further asked the citizens of Kachee Sultanate to support the Athara Magarati government rather than protesting against her decisions.

Police have released the official flight recording of A135, when an explosion occured that killed 8 people.
The recording shows that the explosion shook the plane, and the pilots later informed that there was minimal damage to the cabin.
They turned around for an emergency landing, where the plane was evacuated.

Historians Arrested for research on religion

Earlier today, Historians Let and his wife Heraq were arrested on campus of Vulctos University for publishing research material against state and church history.

For the last five years the couple had studied archeological and public historical documents regarding the birth of the father of Domanania. The official story told in school and church is that during the holy hour of twilight that the future King and God was born. This has been perpetuated for over 1000 years. But these historians claimed they have found evidence that he was born midday and not during the holy hour. They state that it is possible that he was announced during the hour, as to give him legitimacy as a holy leader, when his actual birth is some time before sundown.

This, while not integral to core beliefs of the three branches of Domanium, it still is considered heretical. With the newly reformed government, the line between church and state grows smaller and smaller in an attempt to return to their roots. And by congressional order, the couple were arrested in their offices and all research material was confiscated and will destroy it as to cleanse the federation of heretical material. The couple will be tried in Congressional court and their fate will likely result in a life sentence or death.

Benito Praises new Athara Magarat Leader on her war on terror, while beginning his own

Just today, Athara Magarat began Attacks on SHOCK and SOAR locations in Athara Magarat, Benito Praised this decision, saying: "this is what that Terrorist infested Hell-hole of a country should be doing, getting rid of the terrorist infestation, so now it is only a hell-hole, I praise the Athara Magarati leader for her decision to finally do something, and we would be happy to help her do that something"

This Came as a surprise considering the attitude of Benito towards Athara Magarat.

President-Dictator Desmond Geriad yesterday announced plans to extend the state of emergency by a period of seventy-two days. The Linavian Civil Rights Consortium has decided to launch a challenge with the Supreme Court in response, stating that the decrease in both the frequency and intensity of attacks since the start of the insurrection "...constitutes a valid and pressing reason for the reinstatement of civil and political freedoms and responsibilities." The President-Dictator had little to say on the matter, stating that speculation on the challenge would be "...improper for one in my position...", that "...the relevant documents detailing our position have been submitted to the Court...", and how he had "...the utmost faith that the Court would keep the best interests of Linaviar in mind..." when making the decision to uphold or bar the extension.

vich Mar: Good evening, Merritia. Welcome to ANR's Daily Truth Report, bringing you the truth, free from the clutches of the Hegemony's influence. As always, I am your host Mikel vich Mar, and we are broadcasting from our studios in the heart of the Asorist Republic of Merritia. Joining me today we have a very special guest. Former Prince of Atnaia and would-be Public Enemy Number One if the Hegemon weren't burying the facts, Henri Lucer. How are you tonight, Prince Lucer.

Lucer: Well enough, given everything that's going on. And I'm not a Prince anymore.

vich Mar: True enough. Sorry about that. Mr. Lucer then. Commander Lucer?

Lucer: [chuckling] No. I learned my lesson about my capabilities as a commander during the Crisis. I want to be of aid to the Asorist cause on Merrit, and to be of aid I can't be in a military position. I will fight if needed, but I won't command.

vich Mar: I suppose that brings up my first question, then. Coming forward as you have - well, you must have expected internal backlash amongst the Asorist community.

Lucer: Yes.

vich Mar: So, with that being said, how do you view your role in the new order?

Lucer: That's simple. For all the mistakes I've made - and I wholly take responsibility for the many mistakes I have made - my name still means something to people out there. Royalty or not, the Lucer legacy cannot and will not be besmirched by Mari Wessich. I have openly and publicly rescinded any claim to a throne, but there are those who will come, knowing that I am here, fighting with you. They will come because they know that the name Wessich does not represent Atnaia. This fledgling republic needs help. We don't want to admit it, but we need help. Eventually, Tomas' patience will run out, and when it does, we will crumble. But not if aid comes. Not if the cavalry arrives. And so that's my role. Call the cavalry.

vich Mar: What cavalry?

Lucer: Friends and countrymen. Loyalists to what Atnaia stands for. And others.

vich Mar: Others?

Lucer: I've been away from Atnaia a long time, Mikel. And I wasn't sitting idle in that time.

vich Mar: This is Merrit, Mr. Lucer. Not Atnaia.

Lucer: No. But it could be. Do any of us want to stop at Merrit when we know the Atnaia that could be? 'In an era of increasing globalization...'

vich Mar: So you support a nation-wide revolution?

Lucer: I don't think the revolution ever ended. It's priorities shifted. But the priorities should shift back. We can't continue to suffer increasing tyranny.

vich Mar: True words. So Merrit is...

Lucer: A good first step, which we have to cement. And we will do that with the aid of allies. I've already been in communication with several friends back home. If Wessich is listening, and I know he is, he should be truly worried. A storm is coming, my friend.

vich Mar: I'm glad to hear it. So this siege won't last forever?

Lucer: No.

vich Mar: There's been other news coming out of Atnaia. Obviously, news networks like ANN and nAt tow the party line, but we can establish the truth of certain claims. The first and biggest news to come out today is that ARK and the NHS of Atnaia have confirmed that preliminary trials of Protaex have begun in Schalkenmund and are showing positive results. Protaex, of course, is the proprietary name of a symptom suppresant for the Ticking Flu, which will eliminate symptoms and prevent death but won't cure the disease. Insiders are already looking at licensing Protaex to pharmaceutical concerns in the country and around the region. According to ARK, "the nature of the Ticking Flu has precluded a swift development of a cure, but while we may not be able to eliminate the infection, we can eliminate an appreciable portion of the lethality", end quote. Your thoughts?

Lucer: I'm concerned.

vich Mar: Concerned how?

Lucer: We know little of Protaex at the moment, and the swiftness with which this began large scale human testing raises eyebrows. However, my real concern comes from a place of certain experience.

vich Mar: Which experience is that?

Lucer: The experience of an addict. What we do know about Protaex is that it is not a single dose panacaea. People taking Protaex will have to be on it for the rest of their lives to prevent the symptoms of the disease. Even those who are on it may show minor symptoms, and on top of that, many will bear the scars and remnants of what they have. What happens to those who can't afford the drug that their life depends on? Even if Protaex isn't habit forming, people's lives will literally depend on their continued usage. Is there any more efficient way to ensure people become hooked? And a government organization was in charge of its development...

vich Mar: You are suggesting that the development of Protaex in its current form was intentional?

Lucer: Maybe. Maybe not. What I am suggesting is that I am certain Wessich knows exactly what he is doing: ensuring a certain portion of the population becomes chemically dependent on his reign, all while building that portion of the population up as a ticking time bomb, pardon the pun. He will set up the infected as a potential outbreak. We'll always be a week away from another epidemic, in his rhetoric. The portion of the infected population will be set up as a freakish underclass, dependent on the government for survival. The majority will be indoctrinated to view that underclass as the enemy, dependent on the government for defense. It's textbook. They'll use this to ramp up the measures they already have. Soon we'll have quarantine districts, Healthy-only water fountains and a class divide as deep as any apartheid.

vich Mar: You oppose that?

Lucer: As long as Protaex is viewed as a commodity, it's the realism of the situation. The only way to prevent it is to make sure its cheap, readily available and that distribution is somehow placed in the hands of a neutral third party. I don't have a plan for that, but it should definitely be on the forefront of the minds of those who are developing the systems with which the Asorist Republic will be run.

vich Mar: I'm hearing it'll be an app.

Lucer: So am I.

vich Mar: So, how do you respond to the rumours that you are an imposter?

Lucer: It's not worth commenting on. If they want to make that claim, have the Quorum drag the quote-unquote "real" Henri Lucer into the light. That's all they need to do to disprove my identity. But I promise you, I am who I say I am.

vich Mar: Any more to say on that?

Lucer: No.

vich Mar: What about the news that the Quorum has agreed to the reinstitution and decriminalization of combat games?

Lucer: Gladiators, you mean?

vich Mar: Yes.

Lucer: If people want to fight to the death on television, that's really on them. My main concern lies in the fact that most of these people are indentured servants.

vich Mar: Which you stand against?

Lucer: It's something I've thought a lot about in my exile. The writings of Asora are unclear on the matter, and of course other Asorist theorists have stood on differing sides of the whole indenturement system argument: Obrekh, Karljeng, Vorast and Polk have all written extensively on the matter. But I think, in the end, you have to take into account the moral and philosophical nature of the matter. Can Asorism really claim to be representative of the will of the people and of freedom of choice if that choice is sublimated and the will of the people are controlled vis a vis indenturement? It doesn't mesh logically, right? You have to do quite a lot of mental gymnastics to make it work. Square peg, circular hole.

vich Mar: So you don't stand against the sport...

Lucer: Not if the people who sign on aren't owned by the company running the thing, I'm not. The games are just football with higher stakes.

vich Mar: Some would disagree with you.

Lucer: Many already do. I'm not a politician. To be honest, I really don't care what other people think of my opinion of a sporting event. We're Asorist, we all have a voice. If you don't like what I'm saying, don't delegate your vote to me. Either keep it to yourself or delegate it to someone you agree with. Simple as that.

Earlier today, Jeyzor was speaking at the Suomi Capitol Building in Blue Waters about the recent unrest in the South Mesder Sea, as well as other parts of The Isles. He begged for peace and stability to return to The Isles.

Everyone, there has been some unrest in The Isles as of late, and I felt like I needed to address it. San Montagna has had a Coup, Athara Magarat has officially started the 'War on Terror' and The Isles has become unstable in general. West Suomi has been through enough wars in its past, and we know that war isn't nice at all. So I beg ALL of you, please try to settle things diplomatically and not through war, please. Thank you.

Jeyzor also said that he will be taking acts to stop terrorism, but will use diplomacy instead of military intervention.

Governor-General Hendriks Condemns Athara Magarat

Today, Athara Magarat launched multiple missiles into "terrorist-infested" towns in the Kachee Sultanate near the waters of Volkegoth. The Governor-General came out afterward, however, in condemnation of the nation for failing to inform Volkegoth of it's actions. The Governor-General said the following:

Volkegoth is more than willing to help Athara Magarat in its War on Terror, but they need to tell us when they do things like this so close to our lands. A failure in communication could have resulted in catastrophe. Again, we are willing to help, Leader Hangma just needs to cooperate with our forces and SHOCK will not live long enough to see the results.

It is unclear whether the strikes were effective, or if civilians were caught in the crossfire, but National Report expects information in the coming days.

Ministry of Defence announces large deployment of assets to Corindia

The Ministry of Defence today announced what it called a "large" deployment of military assets to Corindia. This comes at a time of very high tension in the region. It is thought that these ships will participate in multi-national naval exercises scheduled to take place in the southern sea, between Keverai and San Javier, in the coming weeks. The deployment will include several Aspis and Ironwing Class vessels and one Camden Yards Class landing platform dock. Additionally, a contingent of logistical and auxiliary ships will also be based in Corindia, and there is also speculation that a Försvinnande Class may also accompany these ships for the exercises, though this has not been confirmed by the MoD, and it is doubtful that it would be permanently based in Corindia, as Corindi naval facilities cannot support a submarine of the Försvinnande Class's nature. Aircraft, including the B-1 Assaut will be deployed. The MoD describes the reason for the deployment as "Providing, along with our Corindi allies, a strong MSTO presence in the area, in what is an unstable world." However, critics have described the deployment as reckless, aggressive and imperialist.

Police warn fans ahead of TWI Cup final

There are reports of small scale clashes between Norsan and EUSR football hooligans in the streets of Norðurhavn. Police have warned EUSR fans not to wear shirts, be they EUSR or club shirts, in the streets of the capital, in order to avoid provoking Norsan hooligan factions. They have also been told not to walk around the city alone. Police say that there will be very a very heavy riot police presence wherever large groups of fans congregate, and have also issued advice to people to avoid EUSR fans. However large the police presence, it seems that clashes are unavoidable, due to the sheer volume of ultras, both Norsan and EUSR. Even though every EUSR fan entering Norstham underwent extensive vetting, it appears this has done little to stop the hooligan factions entering Norstham. This, combined with the hooligan/ultra culture of Norstham football, and political and military tension on a larger scale, looks to make trouble inevitable.

DOMESTIC: Festivals highlight new Methamphetamine

Recent music festivals have become a nightmare for paramedical authorities in the nation, as a new drug enters Ainslie. Similar to Ice, a form of methamphetamine, this new drug causes violent outbursts - quite dangerous in such densely populated areas. One of the most frightening parts of this new drug is its ability to make its possessed greatly unwelcoming to first responders, such as ambulances and police.

Recent changes in protocols have meant that if ambulances are responding to festivals, police must accompany them to the venue as well. A point of law is currently in debate at the Electoral Courts of Wesland as to what extent police can exercise force on these individuals. Despite their violent state, they are incredibly vulnerable.

A statement from Justice Kentarre highlighted this

“People under the influence of this new drug are still susceptible to the same physical damage as they would be if they were not under the influence. However, different procedures in regards to police powers need to be considered as this drug increasingly becomes a threat to the community.”

The Ahnslen Doctors Society also commented on the issue

“This is of high concern for our nation’s healthcare system. We cannot let it expand from its current point, and thus this drug needs to be eliminated from the community.”

There will be a considerably larger police presence at festivals from now on, possibly spurred on by the terrorist threat as well as this new drug. This drug appears to be localised to Ainslie and thus law enforcement, regulatory agencies and the investigatory and intelligence community are to be briefed about the issue over the coming days.

INTERNATIONAL: Multilateral meeting finishes

Following a month long meeting between Samudera, Ainslie and Orsandia, the three nations have agreed on increased education spending, cultivating their start up businesses and commit to a 30 day VISA free policy. In attendance was Feng Li, the Secretary of State for Orsandia, Andrew Whitford, the Ambassador to TWI for Ainslie and Canyadi Kunakara who is the Foreign Minister of Samudera. The three delegations released a communique today outlining their intentions for the future. It is expected that there will be further discussions between the three nations on issues which concern them. This was the first meeting with the three nations in one room and has created a good foundation for the three nations to mutually advance relations. The communique is as follows:

Samudera, Ainslie and Orsandia have the unified vision of a technologically forward future. One driven by innovation and start-up companies that produces an era of growth and development. Our three nations will strive to support these businesses become successful and easily integrated into the three markets represented by the delegations that have participated in the conference.

Our commitment extends to education, with Samudera, AInslie and Orsandia standing committed to improving the quality of education for the citizens of all three nations. This meeting has proved to be very productive and beneficial, setting a solid and resolute foudnation for the advancing of relations between these three nations. This meeting has very much been a discussion of the future and we are hopeful of what lies ahead. We can make the future better, but only if we stand united in delivering a prosperous and positive one”

Yet the visits continue, with sources close to the government disclosing a state visit between Cantonos and Ainslie to occur in the coming days. More updates on that to come as we receive it.

Keverai, Albion's peaceful trading ally on Argus, requests assistance in the wake of an increasingly militarized Jinlong.

The assurance that I can give Keverai is that we will always be there for them, we will always defend them.

This government has been very good to its word on that and has actually strengthened our defences in Keverai and the defence secretary will be making a further statement about that.

We believe in Keverai’ right to self-determination. They have the right to independence and their citizens should not live in fear of nations willing to take advantage of them. They couldn’t have been more clear about wanting to align themselves with our country and we should protect and defend them.

That particularly deal hasn’t been verified, but all I can say is that the threat remains. It is a very live threat and I am responding to it this afternoon.

We do need to modernise our defences there, to ensure we have sufficient troops and that the islands are properly defended in terms of air and maritime defence … Keveraites have the right to remain independent and have the right to proper protection.

Jinlong still sadly maintains the belief that they can override the wishes of Keverai, just because they happen to be a little closer than we are.

Since the defence pact was first signed in the 1950s, Keverai has always willing depended on us for protection - and we will remain by their side should any threat arise.

We might be needed in a dozen different theatres, concurrently, confronting terrorism or lightly armed paramilitaries, in one setting, and heavily armed formed units of an advanced military nation, in another. More advanced military threats and multiple concurrent threats both require a fundamental rethinking of our strategy and our force structure.

They are right that there are a number of threats but they are wrong about our capability. Already, we are looking into rejuvenating our long-range bomber programmes, as well as looking into the next generation of surface warships and armoured vehicles. Albion's military has a lot of promise.

We have sorted out the defence budget, we are investing in defence again … We have one of the biggest defence budgets in the Mesder. I can assure that we have, and our armed forces will have, the resources and the equipment they need.

Today, President Hilton declared that the two arrested researchers in Domanania be released. He spoke to us this morning.

"This is a clear suppression of people's rights to believe what they want. They were merely researching the birth of the 'father of Domanania. People are allowed to believe what they want when they want."

The President said he will be talking with the Domananian leader in due time.

Demonstration against the Athara Magarati government were held in Bhinneka

BHINNEKA, Kabar Sahari - The newly appointed Hangma of the Athara Magarat, Jrm Hangma, immediately declared ‘War on Terror’ last Wednesday. Various targets across the isles were attacked by the Dragon Army, stating that they are merely ‘retaliating from the terrorists attack’.

The controversial moves prompted many Muslim from Samudera to rise up and condemn Athara Magarat’s unilateral move by attacking Kachee Islands. The Muslim Solidarity, the most prominent national Samuderan Muslim organisation, conducted a demonstration in front of the Revolution Palace and Athara Magarati Embassy in downtown Bhinneka.

The demonstration started from the Al-Thawra Mosque through the Heroes Avenue and the Revolution Palace, ended in front of the Athara Magarati embassy in the Embassy Rows in Bhinneka.

A riot almost broke out when an illegal anti-Islam organisation, named “United Anti-Islam and Terrorism Front”, provoked the peaceful demonstrators by throwing eggs from the sidewalks. It was stopped by Metro Police before it broke out into an open riot. The demonstration itself was praised for its peaceful and well-ordered attitude of the demonstrators.

The demonstration calls for the government to condemn the Athara Magarati unilateral action towards Kachee, calling the so-called “War on Terror” as an attack on crippled the islands. They also called for Athara Magarat to stop the ‘genocide and discrimination’ against Muslims, citing that terrorism isn’t a Muslim ideology.

The leader of The Muslim Solidarity, Mohammed Isa, said in his speech,

We, as fellow Muslims brother, should defend our brother everywhere, including Kachee Islands. The unilateral attack on Kachee Islands is a violation of international law, as Kachee isn’t officially in the war with Athara Magarat. I demand we brought this matters to the League of The Western Isles, to show how those enemies of Islams violate the human rights and genocide of the Kachee Islanders!

The government stance on this matter is unknown at this point, after the President’s speech last Thursday speech about ‘guarding the peace and stability in the Isles’. KabarSahari held a polling yesterday about the Athara Magarati government, and it shows that 34% people condemn the attack, while 31% support the attack. Further 30% have a neutral view and said that Samudera shouldn’t intervene in other nations matters.

Soon after the demonstration ended the Athara Magarati ambassador were called to an ‘emergency meeting’ with the President and the government. No further news was announced after the meeting concluded.

Consul Adstutia Expresses Support for New Hang of Athara Magarat

Earlier today the Consul Adstutia, Samantha Hartega, expressed her support for the interim Hang of Athara Magarat, Jrm Hangma.

Here is a transcript from the press conference.

As to the question of how the Svalbardian government sees the new Hang of Athara Magarat, I will definitively say that we are in favor of their pick in Interim Hang. I believe that their choice is ready and willing to try and bring stability to their nation, especially with her self declared "War on Terror". SHOCK has spread too far, and Athara Magarat has done little about the situation. To see action on their part is a pleasurable sight to see. It is especially commendable that she is much more willing to work with Vancouvian forces within her nation.

Hopefully this renewed effort against SHOCK will begin to make them waver, as I wouldn't hesitate to say that they gain the base of their support from their homeland. If cut off, I believe that they will be easier to eliminate. With the flair up in San Montagna, it is likely that the MSTO will be forced to put pressure on South Mesder nations. A priority of nations in that region should be the elimination of SHOCK.

Next question please.

This part of the press conference has been heavily looked at by many people, talk shows, and other news outlets; especially in regards to her remarks about the MSTO likely needing to put pressure on South Mesder nations. Many are speculating that this may be hinting at possible MSTO intervention in the sloppy Fascist coup in San Montagna. If that is the case it is likely to occur in the coming weeks before the regime is able to solidify control of the nation.

Polar Svalbard Condemns and Rejects New San Montagnan Government

Soon after the press conference by Hartega, the Office of the Consul Adstutia released a document stating that the Svalbardian Government condemns and rejects the new San Montagnan government. The document stated that Polar Svalbard will never support a fascist government, especially not one based on a coup. Polar Svalbard will support the formation of a new democratic government, and will push for that situation where possible.

What is interesting is how this ties into discussions on the remarks made by Hartega earlier. Much of the rhetoric coming from the government seems to be pointing in the direction of Svalbardian intervention in the South Mesder, likely in conjunction with long-time Svalbardian ally, and co-partner in the MSTO, Miklania.

The question is whether or not this is likely to influence the new San Montagnan government. Most analysts believe it will not as the new government has everything to lose in conceding any of the power it has fought hard to gain. Most are suggesting that the only way forward, if the MSTO nations wish to remove this new threat within the MSTO sphere of influence, is to intervene in the nation militarily.

Polar Svalbard Condemns Doman Injustice against Civilians

Recent news to come out of Domanania shows just how misaligned the current Doman government is in regards to secularism. Two Anthropologists who found new information on the Doman religion that is considered heretical have been arrested and are likely to face horrible punishment that may include a death sentence.

All SNN correspondents are horrified by these draconic policies in regards to the Doman religion that their government has. It seems that Svalbardian government agrees too as the Consuls' Offices jointly released a condemnation of the Doman nation. The Consul Bellum has levied sanctions against the nation, stating that unless the couple is released that the sanctions will remain. The Consul Adstutia has also stated that Polar Svalbard would be welcome to the two if they are released of charges and do not feel safe in their draconic nation.

The outcome is uncertain but many believe that strong words from the Svalbardian government are not likely to have an effect on the nation, as Domanania knows that these two are unlikely to be worth blowback towards Polar Svalbard.

In Midst of Democracy Decline, Verona Beach Finds Allies

Verona Beach The world is changing. San Montagna has fallen to the oppressive grips of fascism in the midst of an island rebellion, as Atnaia deals with its own revolt. The continuing destabilization of the Mesder Sea area and the region as a whole has led to the Chief Minister to begin the process of finally breaking Verona Beach's antiquated "Friends with All, Allies with None" policy. Roland Markwardt has begun serious negotiations with the firm democracies of San Jimenez, Trultin, and Dragao do Mar to form a steady alliance. This would formalize what has been a decades-long friendship between the four nations, and is predicted by analysts to lead to a more peaceful Mesder.

In other news, renovations on the Regulars' Assembly have been completed. The building is now secured from most aerial ordinance and has some typhoon-proofing in addition to more green energy sources and an upgraded bomb shelter nearby. The preparations are timely considering the looming threat of war in the Mesder.

A third bulletin concerns the actions of the navy of Belle Ilse en Terre. Verona Beach has agreed to a summit with other Mesder nations, and has threatened economic actions against the feudal country if they continue pirating shipping vessels.
