Moreover, I convey warm greetings to compatriots in the east and overseas compatriots, who are dedicating everything to the patriotic cause of the wealth, power, and prosperity of the fatherland. Comrades, the great 2,017-year history of the Zheng nation is a history that proves the iron truth that dignity and great prosperity of a country and nation exist only when an excellent leader is served.

While prided itself on a 5,000-year-old long history and brilliant culture, because it was not under correct leadership and lacked the power to defend itself, the very appearance of our nation 24 centuries ago was a small and weak, pitiful nation that had to endure flunkeyism and national ruin as its fate.

However, the 2,017-year history of the Zheng nation put a permanent end to the stormy history of suffering, and lifted the dignity of our country and people to the highest state in the history of the nation.

Then or now, there is no change in the geopolitical position of the nation, but the small and weak nation of yesterday – which had been mercilessly trampled upon at each festival scene of the powers – has today changed into a dignified political and military power and our people are displaying dignity as independent people who can never be toyed with by anybody.

This phenomenal event that has taken place in the destiny of our nation is no accident brought about by time, but an inevitable history brought about by great Emperor Zheng, who are the pioneers and leaders of the military-first.

It was for serving the extraordinary great men — w ho built the most elite imperial strong army while putting forward of attaching importance to the gun barrel as the basis of state — that a fundamental turnabout was brought about in the destiny of our fatherland and people, and that today’s grand festival site displaying the national power of military-first Jinlong have also been staged magnificently.

Great Emperor Zheng early on elucidated the philosophical principle that the gun barrel is the life of the nation and also victory of the Warring States of Wanyan Era, and founded the Jinlongian Impeiral Army — with brilliant sons and daughters of the people in the forest of Zhongjiang River, over 2,017 years ago from now. With the founding of the Jinlongian Imperial Army, our people came to have a true army of their own for the first time in history, and the honorable history of the Jinlongian Unity which advances through the might of the iron arrow started from this.

Emperor Zheng — who paid foremost attention to strengthening the imperial armed forces throughout the entire period of the long revolutionary activities — performed the military miracle of the 3rd century of defeating the most outrageous imperialisms for several generations, and prepared a powerful military guarantee for sovereignty of the country and prosperity of the nation for all ages by raising the imperial army into a strong army of one-a-match-for-a hundred, and arming all the people and fortifying the whole land.

The invincible unity of the entire army strongly united around the party as one comrade-in-arms and the millions of soldiers and people forming a harmonious whole is the true might of our imperial army, and here lies the basic key to the reinforcement of military power.

Holding high the slogan Let the entire army become true comrades-in-arms, the imperial army should make the traditional virtue of the unity between officers and men flower more brilliantly, and the entire army should become a comrades-in-arms unit which shares blood and life on the single path of the military-first policy.

Commanders and soldiers are all equally valuable comrades-in-arms of the supreme commander. What we trust is not rockets or any other modern arms and equipment, but our loving soldiers. Commanders exist for the soldiers, and the supreme commander also exists for the soldiers.

All commanders should adopt as their inveterate traits, heartily taking care of the soldiers with the feelings of an elder brother, elder sister, or true comrade-in-arms, and running again and again for the soldiers until their shoes wear out.

Army-people unity is the root of our society and the greatest foundation of the military-first policy. The imperial army must take the lead and be a forerunner all the time also in consolidating great unity between the army and the people as firm as a rock.

Our imperial army must continue to advance, upholding the slogan, let us help the people, presented by the great emperor. The officers and men of the imperial army must fulfill their duty as the army of the people by doing more good deeds for the people, as if they were caring for their own parents and brothers and as if managing their own home gardens.

It is our court’s resolute determination to let our people who are the best in the world — our people who have overcome all obstacles and ordeals to uphold the court faithfully — not tighten their belts again and enjoy the wealth and prosperity of imperialism as much as they like.

We must well grow the valuable seeds, which the great Emperor Zheng sowed to build an economically powerful state and improve the people’s livelihood, and lead them to bloom as a glorious reality.

The addition of the great leap forward campaign to single-hearted unity and invincible military power makes none other than a powerful state. We will have to embark on the comprehensive construction of an economically powerful state by kindling more fiercely, the flames of the great leap forward of the new century.

The officers and men of the imperial army must make a breakthrough in the march of great upswing, continuously demonstrating the might of the strong army, which knows no impossibility, at every major battle area for the construction of an economically powerful state and the improvement of the people’s livelihood.

- (Stellanova City, Tectonix) A stunning revelation by the Libang Herald exposed that Ticking Flu is currently present in Athara Magarat, and has already killed nearly 30,000. This news caused severe backlash by Conservative MPs, whom have been trying for months to yank Tectonix out of the Cooperative Union. The Conservative Party head, Winston Alvarez, gave a blistering speech on the floor of Parliament:

I am very pleased to see just how strong the folly of this administration has been unveiled in the light of the news coming in from Athara Magarat. The Valdr and his socialist posse has chained our great nation to a feeble 'union' that forces us to continue allowing infected Magaratis into the country, else we face censure or expulsion! My fellow members of Parliament, the blues have not led us to the cusp of a new age in Tectonixian geopolitics — they have led us to death, martial law and an over-reliance on pharmaceutical manufacturers to ensure we don't all fall victim to the vicious Ticking Flu.

Valdr Alexander Maxwell was quick to head down to Capitol Knoll and rebut the Conservative leader, giving these brief remarks in the chamber before returning to Valdr Questions:

My fellow Tectonixians, the Cooperative Union has brought us into a vaulted state of geopolitical power that no other organisation could ever offer. Leaked reports from within the Valdrian Estate detail that Chief National Ambassador Daniel Entemont has been instructed to present the CU's legislative body, the Commission, with a resolution to form a CU Health Organisation, as well as an amendment to the Treaty of Coventry to allow temporary restriction of movement when there has been a verified outbreak of a contagious disease in a CU member-state.

Director-General of the National Epidemiological and Control Organisation, Dr. Michelle Herin, did not mince words in her recommendation to the administration:

It is clear that the Treaty of Coventry contains a severe threat to national security by not allowing for travel restrictions, with the pretense to ensure the lack of disease transmission. As of now, the NECO has dispatched a team to Athara Magarat to collect samples of the Ticking Flu virus, blood, tissue and spinal fluid samples for those already infected, and eyewitness reports regarding symptoms. We are committed to ensuring the health of each and every Tectonixian here and abroad, and I implore the Cooperative Union to rethink their strategy regarding freedom of movement.

The NERCO, along with the NTA and federal government-at-large, have already begun health screenings for incoming Athara Magarati citizens. Those determined to have Ticking Flu will be placed in quarantine custody, awaiting a full diagnostic and round of treatment, all of which will be paid for by the Tectonixian government. Many have called this a violation of the Treaty of Coventry, but the administration is prepared to incur a few charges against them if it means the people of Tectonix will be kept safe.

Verona Beach The Mesder Sea region is rapidly destabilizing. Several events have occurred that point to the area being a cause for all the Isles to be drawn into some serious disasters if allowed to continue. Firstly, the fellow Cooperative Union nation of Athara Magarat is under the grips of a very contagious disease, the Ticking Flu. 30,000 people have been infected already, and nations around the region are reacting accordingly. Controversially, the Chief Minister has instituted health screenings for all people arriving directly or indirectly from Athara Magarat. Some critics say this violates the Treaty of Coventry, while he argues these measures are designed not to. "They don't prevent people from travelling- this only applies once they already have arrived in the country," he said recently. This epidemic threatens to spread across the region, and the screenings are not perfect, which leads to the possibility of Ticking Flu within Verona Beach. Another event is unfolding in Mesder that threatens to tear apart regional stability, and that is Volkegoth versus Belle Isle en Terre. The two nations have been rapidly mobilizing and psoturing against each other, threatening to polarize the area to the two sides. As such, the Veronite Navy has begun patrolling international waters in the area, protecting Veronite and other neutral nations' shipping and projecting the demands of Roland Markwardt that the status quo be maintained, with the two nations stepping down. Verona Beach officials have called on other countries in the region to enforce peace between the two countries before war breaks out. The area is dense with international shipping, and naval conflict would threaten to sink plenty of goods, especially the lifeline of food going to Verona Beach. It has been made clear that Verona Beach is not taking a side and is not acting aggressively, merely asking the two belligerents in a novel way to cool down.

As one of the last stable countries in the Mesder, Verona Beach is struggling to restabilize the area, perhaps in vain, as these two events show.

Yesterday night, following the announcement by SHOCK that it had contaminated water with Ticking Flu, which was proven False, Prime Minister Giorgio Cavallo announced that San Montagnas borders will be closed to combat the Ticking Flu epidemic. He stated: "All Borders will be closed, with every country, including trade routes, this is all to protect the People from the Ticking Flu"

The Decision has sparked outrage from the Population, including Benito Franco, who stated: "well that was a bit much, don't you think? I mean Closing Borders with Mesder Sea countries maybe, but the entire Region? I hardly see Ostehaar giving us the Flu, all this decision will do is cripple the country"

More Breaking news came later that night as the Militia's Declaration of Invasion came true as Militia troops, supported by SHOCK, rapidly overran the largely undefended Friuli Isle, Bringing them into Striking Distance of the San Montagnian Mainland, and they did indeed strike, using captured Katyusha Trucks to Strike Coastal towns of San Montagna.

On Rusky island, where the Militia also attacked, it was a different story, as the 9 000 strong Alpine Corps stationed there, are defending the Mountainous Island from Militia attacks, the Island is home to San Montagnas large Oil Reserve, and is considered more important than Friuli Isle.

Defence Minister Luigi Cadorne Stated: "we will defend San Montagna, if they attack the Mainland, I guarantee they will be repulsed, the only reason they got this far is because we saw the Mainland as more important to defend."

Following reports that over 30,000 Athara Magarati nationals have been identified as having contacted the ticking flu, the Consul in a emergency meeting was called early this morning with Foreign Minister Lydia Abbasca announcing with immediate effect the total ban of Athara Magarati nationals into Covonant.

This government being a proactive and caring government will act in the best interest of Covonant. As such following reports that over 30,000 Athara Magaratis have been seen as carriers of the ticking flu virus, with immediate effect, there shall be in place the total ban on travel of persons from Athara Magarat into Covonant and vice versa

Foreign Minister Abbasca went further to announce that with immediate effect, mandatory health checks will be established at all port of entry, established zonal checkpoints and other established checkpoints including schools.

With immediate effect, the Health Ministry had been notified to establish mandatory health checks at all port of entry, at all zonal borders the military will establish zonal checkpoints, health checkpoints in all schools, and community centers. With support from the Travel Authority and Immigration Agency (TAIA) and the National Biometrics service, all persons in Covonant, national and non national are expected to undergo screening failure to comply may result in immediate detention of nationals and removals of foreign nationals

Opposition leader Imperatus Marl lambasted the foreign minister, calling the move unconstitutional.

Madame Speaker, I am appalled to hear from a government minister, what is not only a breach of CU laws which this country had signed on to but what appears to be an unconstitutional ruling by the government. How dare the honourable minister stands in this chamber and express without the consultation of the members of this Consul a move that threatens the liberal foundation and institution this country was built on. How dare the minister express her government's intent on abrogating the rights all people most importantly the rights of Covonantians. This is unconstitutional and I advise that the government desist from going down a dark and terrible path.

Minister Abbasca expressed that in times of national security rights may be abrogated in the national interest.

I am disappointed that the Leader of the Opposition will try to undermine this administration by politicizing matters of national security. This house needs to understand that certain rights may be infringed on in instances of national interest

Defense Minister orders Volkegoth forces to desist interventionist action; warns of consequence

Defense Minister Crixus Ignacio has ordered the Volkegoth navy to remove its presence from the South Mesder. The move comes about following interventionist measures taken by Volkegoth concerning instability taking place on Mario Island in San Montagna.

I have ordered the Union Navy to send clear instructions to the head of the Volkegothian navy to inform them that their presence under such pretext is not welcomed and Covonant nor her allies will tolerate their aggressive presence in the South Mesder. We do not want conflict between Volkegoth and Belle Isle en Terre. Both countries should work together to solve the issue going on on Mario island with San Montagna present. Covonant does not support any side in this conflict but the side working for peace and as far as i see it both sides are stirring up more troubles.

Minister Crixus express that a concerted unified effort must be taken to confront SHOCK and other terrorist group that have taken hold of Mario island.

Covonant wants to see something done about the terrorist groups on the island but it has to be a unified approach. The action of Volkegoth serves to destabilize the Mesder and affect international trade, Covonant can not and will not allow that to happen. We are waiting to see what occurs in the next 48 hours to determine our next move. So far the C6 is on stand by.

Many are calling Covonant's move interventionist. Former defense minister Batiatus Sula is calling on the government not to get involved.

Covonant somehow has to be involved in major issues of the region and i want to see that change. The government came in on a promise to be more inward looking and we are seeing a more aggressive interventionist government instead. We should not get involved in this fight. It's not our battle

Consul approves National Referendum on CovExit; announced date November 9

The Consul has approved for the electorate to go to the polls to decide Covonant's fate in the Cooperative Union. The request was made by Foreign Minister Lydia Abbasca with the Consul approving with a 62% majority.

We promised a referendum and we will give the people the chance to determine the fate of their country. I report to this chamber that on November 9 we will either gain or independence or continue to be governed by foreigners.

Speaking to the CBC following the announcement Opposition Leader Imperatus Marl expressed confidence that Covonant will remain in the CU.

unlike the government, we have already started our campaigning on the side of remaining in the bloc. Wet have learned our lesson from the general election and will make no mistakes in mobilizing the electorates to vote to remain.

Foreign Minister Abbasca expressed that though the government has not done major campaigning, it won't be much to affect their success.

Being government means you are in some instances late to campaign but we have begun the grassroots organizing since we were in opposition and what you have to do is to mobilize the voters around the issue of leaving and i believe we will be victorious.

9 September, JAVANA | In what could be considered a political gamble, re-elected President Sangwoo has replaced former Prime Minister Fleur Pellerin (CPP) with one of his political loyalists -- Kirigaya Marie Lachance. Madame Pellerin, who as a moderate voice within the CPP served as a bridge within the various ideological wings of the party, succesfully held the cabinet together for five years. Disagreements between the President and the Prime Minister had become palpable in the last year of his first term, when she openly defied convention by advocating against President Sangwoo's labour law reform in early 2017. This showed the fragility of President Sangwoo's tenure, with a rising-star such as Madame Pellerin taking a more active role as head of the executive, as opposed to the traditional passive impletementation of the President's platform and wishes carried out by a PM appointed by a President of the same party. This proved ultimately fatal for Pellerin's career, who many expected to succeed Sangwoo as party-leader had he lost the Presidential race as polls had predicted.

Lachance, a traditional conservative from the same ideological branch as the President, is seen as the perfect agent for the President to serve according to the platform he ran his campaign on. This has caused instability within the ranks of the CPP, with various members either carefully condemning Pellerin's dismissal or outright refusing to make a public comment on the subject. Lachance had served as Chair of the National Security Commission within the Citizen's Assembly, a powerful body within the legislature. Taking office at the grandiose prime minister’s residence of L'Hôtel de Cazeneuve, Lachance stated pointedly:

“I am a man of the right, a man driven by conviction and principle to guarantee free people, free enterprise, free conscience and free markets in our nation".

Lachance was born in the city of Thaiketu in the island of Haals and based his political career in La Delphine, where his grandfather was a docker. As the son of two teachers, he speaks fluent French, Haalsian, Japanese, Cantonosian and English. He comes from the same university background as President Sangwoo: he studied at Orebro's prestigious, political science institute, Orebro Sciences et Lettres - OSL Research University Orebro, then attended the exclusive École Nationale Administrative des Cités Unies, the civil service graduate school seen as a factory of the Cantonosian elite. Prime Minister Giorgio Cavallo, who two days ago announced he would be closing the Countries borders, announced that they would be Reopening them amid Public Backlash, the Original Decision was to Close borders to Avoid catching the Ticking Flu.

When Benito Franco was questioned, he stated: "That was the first good move on the part of these Clowns in government, If they kept the borders closed, then we wouldn't have an economy at all. MERRIT CITY, MERRIT ISLE CIRCUITORY PREFECTURE, ATNAIA - Leveraging long discussed dissident conspiracy theories, SOAR has come forward this morning with a new video release claiming to be the work of Henri Lucer, former Prince of Atnaia. Henri Lucer was removed from the throne following a Vote of No Confidence in the House of Nobles, shortly before the restructuring of the government in the writing of the Second Constitution of Atnaia and the establishment of the Hegemony. Prince Henri was then taken into house arrest by military forces, pending trial for conspiracy and treason due to his connection with the assassination attempt on Hegemon Tomas Wessich, who was a primary opponent to the Prince's stances in regards to the Succession Crisis at the time. Following his house arrest, Henri was moved to a secure location pending continuing investigations by LISA and ANIA into matters of his illicit connections with the intelligence agencies of various foreign nations and his relation to the attempt on Wessich's life. He has been maintained in this secure location since, with connections to the outside limited for the purpose of public welfare.

Despite this, Asorist conspiracy theorists have maintained lies and deception in a deliberate anti-government propaganda campaign, primarily waged in the backrooms of internet forums and chat sites, claiming that Henri Lucer was in fact removed from the country and replaced by a Hegemony-trained stand-in for the few public appearances he has made. SOAR now seems ready to utilize this misinformation war, as the release this morning was put out depicting an individual claiming to be Henri Lucer.

"I, Henri Lucer, am the Prince of Atnaia no longer," he claims. "For generations, the Lucer dynasty sat upon a throne built on the backs of the common man. Now, that throne is occupied by an empty-headed puppet, while the government has been shaped into a freakshow reflection of true democracy. For a long time, my sympathies with the Asorist belief were leveraged by the press and my enemies to undermine my willingness to fight for Atnaia. During my exile, as I have walked without the air of royalty, I have come to accept these beliefs deeper and more securely than I ever have before. The woman on the throne is an aristocratic usurper with no power. The man in the high seat of the Quorum is a liar and a deceiver, a manipulator of title. Both these positions rest upon lives, and the heartbreak of millions. As the country I love burns the bodies of their loved ones in heaps, they sit in luxury, built upon inheritance and division. No more. I do not wish to come and reclaim my throne, because there is no throne worth having. I rescind my claims and accept one noble truth: the aristocrats and technocrats that run Atnaia are enemies of the people. Only here, in Merrit, can the good work begin. Those who remember me, who remember my grandfather, who remember Atnaia, should stand shoulder to shoulder against tyranny. The manipulations can last no longer. Procurrerent ad volatum. "SOAR's underhanded manipulations of the people's pride in Atnaia are disgusting," the Hegemon responded. "This is an attack on common purpose, common welfare, and common decency. To utilize the sympathies of the people towards the heroic Prince James II Lucer is ridiculous, and to usurp the face of a traitor to do so is even worse."

This release has caused a swell of Asorist sympathizers to come forward. LISA reminds citizens to report Asorist traitors to their local SWB tiplines.

"Even the whisper of Asorist support is a threat to public safety. Please, protect your friends, family and neighbours," said a Fortress Atnaia release. "We the people are the bulwark of Atnaian destiny. Only we can act as a levy against the flood of Asorist filth."

The actions and words coming from Volkegoth are alarming and unjustified. Whilst they may not respect the actions of another nation, threatening military force as a knee-jerk reaction is outrageous, short-sighted and potentially dangerous.

Whilst it's unlikely that all of the nations will be willing to deploy numerous military assets, the firm stance that Albion and Covonant appear to be taking may encourage other members to stand alongside them - rather than sit on the fence.

It is also important to acknowledge the Coalition of Six, which Albion and Covonant are both members of. It's entirely possible that the other member states may see a possible destabilisation of the region as something they'd want to avoid.

Many nations depend on the trade that flows through the Mesder. Even if one nation fell, or was to lose enough sovereignty, it could lead to a multitude of problems - ranging from withdrawal of trade, to even the establishment of piracy.

Polar Svalbard Eases Trade Restrictions with Atnaia, Keeps Travel Bans in Place

The Consul Bellum put forth executive action yesterday due to recent updates in the nation of Atnaia.

In recent months the advanced nation in the South Mesder bore the brunt of a new disease known as Ticking Flu. To this date around 700,000 people have died in Atnaia, this is due to a horrifying death rate, which sent many nations around the Isles into a panic to close borders with the nation. Along with that many nations, including Polar Svalbard placed trade restrictions on the nation. Sadly this act of self-preservation for many nations, wrecked the Atnaian economy and may have contributed more to the deaths in the nation. To add to the destruction SOAR incited conflict in Merrit Isle, which is now separate from Atnaia under the Merrit Liberation Front. All of this, to a nation that has been a friend of our nation.

With the development of a vaccine, and the fact that the disease is most likely slowing down, the Consul Bellum has seen fit to try and help with the problems facing Atnaia. Thus the Consul signed an executive act to lax trade restrictions on Atnaia in the categories of Foodstuffs, Pharmaceuticals, Petroleum Products, Machinery, and Textiles. It is with this that the Consul hopes the Atnaian economy can start to recover, as other nations follow Polar Svalbard's lead.

When asked though about whether the travel ban was lifted or to be lifted, the Consul stated that it would have to be reviewed more as the threat of spreading the infection is still there. Even with the laxing of trade restrictions, they will still have to be carried out professionally and under supervision.

This looks like the first bit of positive news for Atnaians from Foreign nations in quite awhile.

Polar Svalbard Declares Conflict in San Montagna a Regional Threat

Recently the nation of San Montagna has fell to instability, creating a rift and a wave of panic in the South Mesder Sea. With Polar Svalbard being a major member of the Mesder Sea Treaty Organization, it is in a position of power in regards to the stability of the Mesder Sea.

Here is a quick run-down of what has occurred. SHOCK terrorist cells have incited rebellion in numerous islands around San Montagna and they with the help of the Militia, as they have taken to calling themselves, have begun invading islands in the archipelago San Montagna is a part of. Due to this the nation of Volkegoth sent a small flotilla of warships to the South Mesder to try and combat this threat. Towards that the nations of Belle Isle en Terre and Covonant threated them and warned them to stand down. Verona has also sent ships to the area to protect trade.

One of our analysts had this to say,

This really shows how pitiful the nation of San Montagna is that it, with a modern military, has allowed its islands to be invaded by terrorist cells and rebels. It is a rather pitiful display from a nation that is rapidly becoming the laughing stock on the world stage. Volkegoth is playing with fire here and should evidently step down and bring its ships back. This is a matter for the powers in the Mesder, and even then Volkegoth only serves to further destabilize and escalate the situation. If this were to escalate to war between Belle Isle en Terre and Volkegoth, the MSTO would have to step in. The economic impacts would be bad due to the proximity of the conflict to the main nation in the MSTO, Miklania. Most likely it would involve Northsam and Polar Svalbard bringing down a war fleet to force the combatants to sign a peace accord in the League.

How this will shake out is unknown, but there has been increased military traffic around the nation, which is likely in preparation to defend shipping around Polar Svalbard's major ally, Miklania.

Consul Bellum Asked About CovExit

With the announcement by the Covonantian government that it will be conducting a referendum on whether or not Covonant should stay in the Cooperative Union, we asked the Consul Bellum about his thoughts during a press conference.

Good question. Currently we aren't going to see a change in how we conduct trade currently with Covonant, this is due to the fact that the referendum will not be conducted for some time. Along with that is is unclear whether or not the nation will even leave the CU. While the new administration's rhetoric has been against the economic bloc, they have decided to give the people the opportunity to say whether they want to leave or not, and even though the current administration was elected, that does not mean they have an automatic majority. Either way, if they do decide to leave, Polar Svalbard would be open to increasing trade with the nation to help offset the loss of trade and possible repercussions from the other nations in the Union. Travel Bans placed on Athara Magarat

With the recent news release from Athara Magarat that 30,000 people have been infected with Ticking Flu, the Svalbardian government has decreed that the nation is a travel hazard and has issued a travel ban on the nation. Unlike with Atnaia though there will be no trade restrictions due to the spread of vaccines which should help combat the spread of the disease. Along with that the Svalbardian government, along with many other nations around the Isles, are feeling the weight of their decisions to emplace trade restrictions on Atnaia which crippled the nation's ability to fight the infection.

How the Athara Magarat government will react is unknown, but it is hopeful that they will be amenable towards it. For those of you who had flights to Athara Magarat, the government has ordered flight companies to repay the value of the tickets. Be sure to ask your flight company about it so that you do not lose out on money.

Fraud Trails Cunclude, all but but four defendants convicted!

All but four people in the Jes Voter Fraud Trials were found guilty as the last defendant was convicted and sentenced. Timber Cills, the most well known of the defendants, was sentenced to 45 years in prison. The announcement was met with celebration and approval all over Lardingo. Many of the people we spoke with were happy to have the whole fiasco over with.

Chief Executive Eva Renolds announced at a press conference that she has conferred with the mayor of Crystal City and officials from Lardingo International Airport, and they have all decided to impose universal health screenings at Lardingo’s only international airport.

However the government has refused to impose travel bans, saying that doing so would violate the right to navigation.

After recent news from Athara Magarat that 30,000 people have been infected with Ticking Flu, countries across the region have been prompted to respond with measures ranging from stepped-up health screening at airports to all-out travel bans. The country shares an open border with Atnaia, where the Ticking Flu originated. Already 700,000 Atnaian citizens have died because of the disease.

In an article published by the Libang Herald last September 16, it was reported that separate investigations conducted by international health organizations and local groups have concluded that the Athara Magarati parliament-run government had hidden the information on the exact number of deaths from the disease in order to 'stop widespread panic'.

In Velah, First Secretary Lev Verdiyev has resisted mounting calls for a travel ban, but announced on monday that all travelers flying from Athara Magart and other countries that have reported cases of the virus would be routed through a special military airport a few miles west of the capital of Caligangrad. The facility has been equipped with enhanced ticking virus screening.

Meanwhile the Presidium has also called on the League to look into the matter, to avoid further spreading of the disease which has started to scare the regional community once again.

The King has not officially take sides, but the bombs of his jets and the guns of his vassals point to direct support of a New San Montagna.

Success in TWI football competition sends EUSR to the finals

In a show of great comradeship and unity, the newly formed EUSR national football team has managed to qualify automatically for the finals of the Western Isles football competition. This regionwide competition has hosted nations from across the isles in Norstham where they have clashed to see who the best side is. The EUSR team, composed of nine players from the Aapelistanian Federative Socialist Republics, four from the Bhikkustani Eastern Socialist Republic and one player from both the Tumanese and Parsev ASRs has managed to qualify for an automatic spot in the finals where they will face either Eserai or the home team Norstham.

The EUSR team has fought hard to make it this far, showing that while the merger between Bhikkustan and New Aapelistan may have been recent, there is a spiritual bond between the people of the two nations and this has been represented on the pitch. No game showed this off better than their game against Athara Magarat in the third finals, where despite great play by the Athara Magaratis the EUSR team was able to dominate for almost the full 90 minutes and won a handy three one. The match was emotional as many of the players, in particular the Bhikkustanis, consider the Magarati to be their close kin. The images of brotherhood shown as EUSR players consoled Magarati players shall live on as a show of brotherhood.

We hope that the great example of our sportsmen shall be replicated across the nation as workers aspire to bring the same glory to the EUSR as their comrades have done.

Norsan team steal TWI cup win in dramatic last minutes

In one of the most dramatic games in Norsan sporting history, the Norsan team stole a win over Eserai in the most dramatic way possible: penalty kicks. The game was high quality and full of drama throughout, and was clearly contested between two tactically astute teams both at the top of their game. Eserai took a 1-0 lead midway through the first half, but their lead was short lived, and the Norsan team equalised soon after, making it 1-1 at half time. During the second half, both teams had a number of chances, but neither could capitalise until Eserai put one past Jonas Alm in goal, making it 2-1 in the 86th minute. The home crowd in Austrabýur fell silent, and thought all hope was lost. But then, in one of the most dramatic twists in sporting history in the Isles, Jonathan Myran broke through the defence in the 90th minute, kept a cool head and slotted the ball past the goalkeeper, cementing his place in Norsan football history. The stadium erupted with noise. Full time: 2-2.

Extra time was a non-eventful and cagey affair, aside from Alm making himself big and smothering a one on one chance, keeping Norstham in it. After this chance midway through extra time, both teams shut the door, and it was evident that penalty kicks would be the only thing separating these teams. Both goalkeepers played their part, as both teams missed several penalties, and it went to sudden death. Daniel Lanlie was to be the man to step up for Norstham and step up he did, dispatching his penalty into the bottom corner and sending the crowd wild as he broke into tears of joy. Here's what Norstham manager Alfred Varvik had to say after the game:

"Obviously to win in such a manner is one of the best feelings in sport, whilst to lose in such a manner must be one of the worst. Tonight we did what great teams to and found a way to win, and I think that is testament to the strength and character of our players. We stayed true to our tactical and philosophy and that payed dividends with the last minute equaliser. As a manager a penalty shootout is one of the most painful experiences you an go through, as there is nothing you can do, it is just the individual versus the goalkeeper. This will be remembered as one of the great nights in Norsan football, and the team and I are pleased we could be a part of that"

The game sets up a final with the EUSR at the Jan Cadell Stadium, which is sure to be a captivating and charged affair. The game will have political implications, Norstham being a member of the MSTO, who are currently at war with NA. Both countries also experience hooliganism problems, and it is expected that there will be a very heavy riot police presence in the city from tomorrow until several days after the final. Political implications aside, it is sure to be a great game.

Former Defense Minister Jyoti Thapa has been elected the 'interim leader' of the Kunnsrach and will henceforth be called Jrm Hangma.

Paija Hang requested to have someone else take helm of the government due to his illness and personally recommended Jyoti Thapa to replace him.

Following the revelation that the divided parliament, ruling the Athara Magarati government in the absence of the suspended Paija Hang, had withheld the fact that over 30,000 Athara Magarati citizens had died from the Ticking Flu and amid the ensuing protests and angry rants at social media, a snap election was called by Paija Hang to have someone replace him (and the bi-factional divided parliament that had suspended and ruled in his place as well) for the time being.

"This incident showed that the parliament that suspended me is too busy bickering between themselves too accomplish anything. We need a strong leader. A strong leader like Wessich or Gais or Nijakov. The divided parliament have finally accepted their mistake by accepting this snap election for someone to replace me; temporarily since it is deemed unworthy for a Hang to resign before his tenure ends." Paija Hang who looked pale due to 'illness' said in a press conference organized at his residence on September 18th.

Asked what illness he was suffering from, he revealed that his family and entire neighborhood had contracted the Ticking Flu - which officials believe to the deliberate work of SHOCK. Although vaccines are being supplied, the Hang said that he would remain suspended for now as he and the National Assembly and the House of Representatives still had not 'sorted things out' and would rather work in distributing the vaccines to all Tickers and have a 'strong interim ruler' replace him for the time being. Asked who he had in his mind, Paija Hang immediately took the name of Defense Minister Jyoti Thapa. When the reporters questioned why Ms Jyoti Thapa, he replied. "In times like this, we need her kind of strength."

Immediately after the snap election was announced, around 619 people from various fields announced their decision to run for the position of Hang/Hangma. The number got reduced to 53 in September 19 as only those who had backing of a tribe or clan were allowed to run. Within the day, the heads of all clans and tribes of Athara Magarat held a meeting and reviewed the personal data and history of the candidates. Finally at 1:00 pm in September 20th, Jyoti Thapa was announced as the 'interim ruler of the Kunnsrach'. She has the backing of Paija Hang and at least 90 tribes including several prominent Atish families and almost all of the numerous Khas clans. Meanwhile, some youths took to the social media to complain that they could not elect technically their leader personally despite being in a democracy.

During the quick swearing-in ceremony for the 'interim ruler of Athara Magarat', Ms Jyoti Thapa resigned from her position of the Defense Minister and took the oath as 'Jrm Hangma' (with the word 'Jrm' referring to a dragon-like parasitic creature that chewed upon the Tree of Creation from Atish mythology).

"I thank all those who supported me to lead the nation in our dark times. And to those who did not support me, I have the task to prove them that I am capable of steering our glorious nation to the right path. This nation needs a strong leader to ensure that her peaceful ideology remains intact and is not preyed upon by enemy states or organizations like SHOCK. Paija Hang was right to believe in my kind of strength. I apologize to all our citizens and our allies for the irresponsibility of that divided parliament. Such irresponsibility! Witholding the fact that 30,000 citizens and some Vancouvian soldiers had died of Ticking Flu. We will not be offended if any nation, even those from CU, feel the need to close their borders with us as we can't dictate such terms to anyone in good diplomacy. But it is thanks to that error of that parliament that we have finally awakened. The Dragon has awoken and all those who made mockery of it need to fear. The mighty Dragon Army of our nation will hereby be mobilized to defeat SHOCK at all costs! And I ask all responsible nations to join us in our glorious battle to remove pests like SHOCK from Earth once and for all."

"Dear leaders, do not fall to the wretched plans of SHOCK and SOAR to divide us! Nations of the Isles, it is your duty to stand with the governments of Athara Magarat and Atnaia in combating SHOCK...not having a war of words on who was Leeroy Jenkins or not. I know from my short tenure as the Defense Minister of Athara Magarat that both SHOCK and SOAR have brilliant minds working there and these strategists seek to manipulate us by pulling their gambits and making us protect our prides in the wrong way. Hereby, I personally request Volkegoth and San Montagna and Belle Ilse en Terre to work together with Covonant, Albion Invicta, Verona Beach and all other nations in combating SHOCK and SOAR."

"Lastly, the League...the League need proper dealing. Its focus are in the wrong matters. Numerous people had died of the Ticking Flu, numerous Bhikkustani refugees wash ashore dead or dying from sickness in our shores. And yet, the League continues to be a not so neutral place for some influential nations to show their dumb muscles. Terrorists like SHOCK and SOAR bring death and destruction everywhere and yet the League has deaf ears. I believe it is not yet time to even think of joining the League. Voices of small nations were practically unheard of there and even more so now it seems. But if the League is honest and wants to work in service of humanity rather than vested self-interests of certain powerful nations, we are more than willing to cooperate with the League as a responsible nation as the Yellow Dragon's mandate truly wishes so. And speaking of Bhikkustani refugees, I ask - no, I demand - the EUSR leaders Nijakov and Sanghyal to man up and take care of the refugee crisis."

Viceroy blames Miklania for the Imperialonian-Sadievi war

His Majesty Viceroy Melas II de Mons Sansiers refuses to condemn or appologise for the Imperialonian-Sadievi war publicly. Today he adressed the nation on live TV, stating he refused to condemn the Imperialonian-Sadievi war, and that it was the concern of the cabinet. This came as a suprise, as Prime-Minister Montgomery asked for a condemnation of the Viceroy just yesterday. The remarks of the Viceroy lead to even more tense relations between anti- and pro-imperialist fractions and promised more days of protests.

Coalition saved after tense debates

Cabinet Montgomery-I will not be the shortest serving cabinet in history. Yesterday the Prime-Minister was summoned to the House of Delegates to defend the coalition against a few motions of no-confidence and censure votes. The Leader of the Opposition brought a vote of censure on the floor to condemn the decision of the Prime-Minister to publicly condemn and appologise for the Imperialonian-Sadievi war. The Labour Party stated it was 'wreckless and irresponsible' and the Social-Democrats spoke of a 'rushed decision without thinking about consequences'. The Leader of the Government in Parliament, Caesar Grand (LUP), defended the coalition, and later the Prime-Minister gave a statement in the House:

I understand this might seem a bit rushed, but it was a very well thought decision and absolutely not wreckless and irresponsible. How conservative we may be, it is time for Great-Imperialonia to move in the right direction. Admission to the League was the first step to restore our former glory. Yesterday, in my weekly audience, I requested a public condemnation from His Royal Highness the Viceroy as well, as it would send a powerfull message of unity.

The Vote of Censure was however rejected with 353-136 with all the coalition parties voting against it, which proves that Prime-Minister Mongomery is capable of keeping order and structure in his cabinet. However after the Vote of Censure was rejected, a vote of no-confidence was introduced by the National Party. Jaqueline Rose, a Delegate for the NP, called the passage of the League resolution a black day in Imperialonian history. She demanded Prime-Minister Montgomery to withdraw his support and stop the extradition of Imperialonians to the League. When the Prime-Minister stated again he was not planning to withdraw any of it, the Floor Leader of the National Party introduced a motion of no-confidence.

The motion of no-confidence was also rejected with 474-55.

Sovereign refuses condemnation and riots start again

Today, Viceroy Melas II de Mons Sansiers, adressed the nation on television. He gave a speech from the throne room of the Royal Palace, in which he talked about the cabinet's decision to agree to the League resolution. There was a clear negative undertone in the Viceroy's speech, but he emphazised his support for Cabinet Montgomery-I. However he refused to condemn the war himself:

Let me state clearly, I will not condemn nor appologise for the Imperialonian-Sadievi war. The Sadievi islands belonged to Great-Imperialonia and the Prime-Minister in jail. The escalation of the war was totally the fault of Miklania, who chose to agressivly help the traitors of the corrupt Sadievian govenment. The Prime-Minister can ask me as many times as he likes, but I will never, never condemn the war and abandon the soldiers that fought for this proud cause. Miklania is the nation to be held accountable for the escalation, not we.

The Prime-Minister has yet to response, but his press secretary already published a writen statement in which he said the condemnation the League demanded will stay effective.

After the adress thousands of people claimed the streets in protesting against the resolution and condemnation. A huge march was held in Olon to the Royal Palace of Arthedain. The Prince of Arthedain then ordered to rise the Imperial Imperialonian military flag to honour the fallen Imperialonian soldiers. This lead to contra-protestors to start protesting as well, and in less than an hour huge riots erupted and people started fighting. The fights continued all night and the police only managed to reclaim the streets around 8 o'clock in the morning.

Minister Matthews of National Affairs blamed Prince Arnor of Arthedain for the huge riots and unnecessary 'provocation'. More protests are planned later today in many cities such as Imperialo, Aedolia, Eleston and Willemstadt.

Commercial plane forced to land after explosion in cabin
A packed plane, filled with 322 passengers was forced to land early this evening shortly after take off at 8:10pm, as an explosion rocked the aircraft.
Luckily, the aircraft maintained structural integrity, apart from some small holes in the right side of the plane, and was able to return back to LaSean Airport.
As the aircraft began to climb, an explosion occured in the cabin, and the plane immediately turned back around to LaSean Airport in Stockton.
Police have confirmed the deaths of 2 people, and the injuries of 42.
An hour after the incident, police labeled it as a 'potential terrorist attack', and are investigating.
Amongst the dead are a 39 year old man, and an unidentified male.
The plane was immediately drenched in fire retardant foam, and the plane evacuated.
Police have confirmed that the 39 year old who died was a citizen of Atnaia.
Commissioner James Rankin spoke to press shortly after the incident:

"Earlier today, at 8:10 pm, a NFA plane carrying 322 passengers was forced to land abruptly, after an explosion in the cabin. We do believe the explosion to be intentional at this stage of the investigation. Sadly we can confirm the deaths of 2 people, and 42 people have been injured. All others on board were not injured, and are safe. We ask that the public be cooperative in our investigation."

President Alexander Hillton was available for comment, and gave some details:

"Police have considered this a terrorist incident, but we can not be sure untill the investigation is completed. In the meantime, the national terror threat level will remain at low, until substantial evidence is discovered."

Civilian Trade Ship Raided off Volkegothic Coast

Today, an Ilsan ship stopped and boarded a privately owned civilian ship moving to the Gewelstad port. Multiple Ilsan knights gathered the defenseless crew and took thousands in electronic goods. In fear of further raids on Volkegothic ships, the Volkegothic fleet in South Mesder was withdrawn to defend Volkegothic trade. Governor-General Steven Hendriks came out in a press conference condemning the action, saying, "the acts of the Ilsan navy have gone too far. We demand Belle Ilse en Terre apologize for this act of aggression, or they will suffer the consequences."

Commander of the Navy Fired

Yesterday, Commander of the Navy Vincent Van Ankeren was fired from his position by the Minister of War and Defense. The Minister declared that "Ankeren was not performing his duties to Volkegoth," likely referring to the South Mesder crisis resulting from many of his orders. The Minister also announced that Grand Admiral Gerben Rijnder will be replacing Ankeren and Rijnder's successor will be High Admiral Lucas Assenberg. The Speaker of the Marshals commented on the firing, saying, "I voiced against his appointment for a reason. The man was incompetent. I'm glad he was fired." Marshal Maikel Boerefijn of the National Volkegoth Party, a noted interventionist, objected to Ankeren's firing, saying "Former Commander of the Navy Vincent Van Ankeren was a fine and honorable man. Govenor-General Calls for Summit on South Mesder Threats

Governor-General Hendriks came out earlier in a press conference in which he called for a summit of South Mesder nations to discuss the increasing stability in the region. "Many threats have been presented to the region in the last few months" the Governor-General stated, "including the Mario Island Crisis, the tension between Volkegoth and other nations in the region, the ticking flu, among other urgent issues. The only way these are going to be solved is if we work together. I call for the nations of the South Mesder to meet in the I.D. to work together to stabilize the region." Gewelstad has released the list of nations Volkegoth has personally requested to attend this summit, being the following: Covonant, Ventlimer, Miklania, Verona Beach, Atnaia, Athara Magarat, Albion Invicta, and Ipland.
