He still wears his usual ruffled shirt and tight breeches, but no longer with a waistcoat (or a corset underneath it), and his cut-away jacket has been replaced by a long and loose-fitting t-shaped or kimono-like "banyan" or "robe de chambre", made of calico cotton printed with colorful Oriental styled floral patterns and lined with silk. He has a soft, turban-like cap atop his head now, and his high boots have been replaced by velvet slippers with leather soles and a grosgrain bow on each of them.
