"You'll be drinking as much as me soon," Maria said, rolling her eyes. "Is that something else I'm in charge of? Your alcohol intake?"

"Si..." Jonas said, obviously hurt. "I can't make that decision right now. Just...just...I can look after myself, Okay?" he finally snapped, "I can deal with these assassins, or at least someone can. It'll all be over soon."

"OK!" Jonas roared, his strong Vakolicci accent showing through. "I cannot deal with 25 guards all on my own. I admit to being human. A few assassins, on the other hand, who are after a lot of people not just me, I'm perfectly capable of dealing with. Stop focussing on my safety, and focus on yours before you get me into more danger yourself."

"Awww," Alicia said, seing Allen's pouting. "You might have to wear it once. Maybe twice...it shouldn't be too hard for you, should it?"

"What can I be in charge of?" Maria asked, open mouthed. "You're awfully free to give away control."

"I'm hardly the most obvious target," Jonas said, attempting to speak calmly. "That's Maria, or Elosqir, or Andrew if they really are from Clan Pavlovic. I'm just who they happened to see. If you want, you can hire some guards. Compitent guards, not those idiots who we met on the beach."

"And even that collar will be off soon," Alicia attempted to reassure Allen. "And you'll be an Emperor. That's surely better?"

"I think it's you," Maria laughed, before lying through her teeth. "Those pills just make you happy. Anyway...what can I not have control over?"
