New Roman Minister of Foreign Affair Resigns

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, New Rome-- Today in a press confernce, New Roma Republic's first Minister of Foreign Affairs, Petrus Caecilius, has announced resignation of his office. This shocking announcement comes only one year away from the second elections in New Roma Republic. When asked by press his reasoning for resignation, he cited multiple arguments with Caesar Romulus over policy.
In his statement, Consul Caecilius said that he would "finish his term as Consul for the Italia Province, but I will not participate in the next election". This opens a definite seat in the Senate that all parties will try to achieve. Currently, the Imaginist Party has 15 seats, the National Sonacist Party has 3 seats, the Conservative Party has 1 seat, and the Democratic Socialist Party has 5 seats. Caecilius, a member of the Conservative Party has put his party at a disadvantage. With their only seat opened up, they may not be able to get the seat again, especially with the liberal attitudes of the majority of New Romans at the moment.
In all of this, the Caesar will need to choose a new Minister of Foreign Affairs. Two major contenders will be Orphius Logus (Ambassador to the IFC) and Brianna Jones (Consul on Foreign Affairs Committee). It will be a tough choice for the Caesar; both have many qualifications.Kevin Yurt
