Main theme (1:52-2:19)Host bid (for stage features)OOC Thread

As the crowd scuffled into Stôdiùm Mieszkczô, the venue roared with various languages, seats moving, and the odd announcement consistently stating that parking in the middle of the stadium's garage was strictly prohibited. Suddenly, as the crowd began to settle, the lights turned off, throwing the room into darkness. Almost as suddenly, the lights on the two supporting pillars of the stage flicked on, transitioning from white to red to yellow. Appearing on the stage was Kasper Molòba, a relatively famous Regican actor and model.
Image
"Welcome." Kasper said, opening his arms to the audience. "Welcome to my hometown, to my homeland. I am proud to be your host and your friend throughout the night. So I would love to say, witôj bë Ë-Mieszkóm!"
The light once again darkened as the soft sounds of a piano and orchestra filled the stadium.

Opening Song - "Smile/Smiéch"

As the music gained momentum, the supporting pillars lit up softly in a soft gold, and the water fountain surrounding sprang to life as the Swiat choir, positioned around the stage's circular perimeter, began to sing.

0:57 - And through water and through wind, we shall overcome the storm. Hand in hand, we will never let go. And like the glowing rays of the sun, we will sail 'round the earth. For peace, for love, for us all.

As the percussion instruments came in, the water streams flew higher, and the lights began to glow more brightly.

1:26 - And through water and through wind, we shall overcome the storm. Hand in hand, we will never let go. Sing, friends, sing the song of our brotherhood, for we will never let go.

As the singing switched to Regican, the supporting pillars began to lit up in the flags of the various nations. The water began to move along with the rhythm of the music.

1:52 - Smiéch, ma drëchë, dlô czãd przëchôdac. Och, sztël czëdesac, pòdlug skarni w pieniac. Och, rëc wa glos przë Ë-Mieszkóm, ë spac jeden térz. Kòrzdi, kòrzden, rzeszëc rãkarã. Spac, spac jeden térz.
Smile, our friends, for the time has come. Oh, peace evermore, under guise of song. Oh, raise your voice over Ë-Mieszkóm, and dream once again. All, everyone, all join hand in hand. Dream, dream once again.

Suddenly, rising from the centre of the stage was a illuminated flower petal, covered in red, gold, and white lights, and as the instrumental continued, the flower slowly opened. On the LED backdrop were the announcements of previous winners at former WorldVisions.

2:34 - Normandy, Ekoz, Regica, sing for peace and love across nations! Yttribia, Chameliya, all together, now and forever! Gaicadia and Izmedu, dream of anything! All nations, dreaming and imagining.

2:47 - Riding across waves and oceans, winds rocking, sails tearing. We shall overcome through peace and song. Sing, sing with your soul, and music will fill the air. With song as our guide, we will bind together. Welcome, our dear friends! Welcome to a new land! Stand proud for all nations in Ë-Mieszkóm!

As the final note was hit, the illuminated flower hit its full reach, and jumping from the interior, fireworks appeared above the stadium. The lights once again shut off. As the Swiat choir yelled out "Welcome!"

01.KASANOVA-KORATICA

M A U R E E N Wigginheimer

Euphorbia

M A U R E E N is standing on the stage, lit by a single spotlight as she speaks to the audience.

I have been near and far, chronicling the plight of euphorbs throughout this beautiful world.

She looks down, overtaken by emotion. Recovering, she looks back up.

So many are hurt or destroyed for nothing more than being what they are.

She takes a breath.

To all those poinsettias suffering under the heartless hand of negligence and ignorance, to all those euphorbs unjustly exterminated for the simple crime of growth... this is your song.

She pauses for a moment, letting it set in, before continuing with a raging passion.

Let the world know the glories of your kind, and fully appreciate you for WHO YOU ARE!!!

To the raucous applause of the Kasanova-Koraticans, the song begins.

M A U R E E N grabs the microphone, the stage in half light and surrounded by darkness

Oh... The genus is one of the biggest ones
Oh... Can't stop because it's so much fun
Yeah... Unique in just so many ways
Ah... It's gonna start a new world craze!

Lights suddenly drench the stage in light, revealing a massive array of various potted euphorbs and spurges covering the entire stage and stretching through each aisle to the walls of the arena, a veritable carpet of green leaves, yellow flowers and red and white bracts

Euphorbia
Showy petals are just for the weak
Colored leaves are the new high peak!
Don't stop their go-oh-oh-oh-oh-al!

The plants start dancing

Euphorbia
Reversing the global paradigm
Can't stop, till they are all mine
Don't stop my go-oh-oh-oh-oh-al!

The plants return to stillness, and the lights fade except for several spotlights on M A U R E E N

Latex sap, perfect poison for defending life
Spiny stems, for those in the arid desert lands
And others can run free, chartreuse flowers forming a sea
Grow farther and farther, still others grow into trees

The stage is drenched in light again, and the plants begin to whirl about

Euphorbia
Showy petals are just for the weak
Colored leaves are the new high peak!
Don't stop their go-oh-oh-oh-oh-al!

Euphorbia
Reversing the global paradigm
Can't stop, till they are all mine
Don't stop my go-oh-oh-oh-oh-al!

Everything stills, the lights dim and the plants all lean toward M A U R E E N.

Green spurges, and candelabra trees
Poinsettias, and even tiny little weeds

M A U R E E N sinks to her knees

Euphorbia
Euphorbia
Don't stop their go-oh-oh-oh-oh-al!

The stage nearly explodes with light and dancing potted euphorbs as M A U R E E N stands back up, putting all her soul into the song

Euphorbia
Reversing the global paradigm
Can't stop, till they are all mine
Don't stop my go-oh-oh-oh-oh-al!

Euphorbia
Euphorbia
Don't stop their go-oh-oh-oh-oh-al!

Everything goes back to the way it was before the song: the plants stop moving and the lights dim

Exhilarated, M A U R E E N takes a breath and looks to the camera in a state of euphoria.

Thank you, and love your euphorbs as you do yourself. Nay, more.

A section of the crowd dedicated to the Followers of Chamaesyce begins cheering, and M A U R E E N nods toward them. She shouts:

Praise Chamaesyce, and may Her holy blessings bleed into this poor world!

The cheering of the Followers turns into a roar of joy, and M A U R E E N grins and makes her way off the stage, muttering a plethora of "Excuse me"s and "Sorry"s as she gingerly steps between the pots and off the stage.

2. The Sword Bloke
Shop Owner - Shop Owner is King

Shop Owner walks onto stage with his 86 backup singers and his electric guitar, doing a Usain Bolt pose directed at the Swordean fans in the front row. The fans scream back, hoping to improve on their 23rd place finish in WorldVision 36. Shop Owner starts singing.

Yea, I have trivia
Who is the king
Of that Swordean country?

Hundreds of Swordean fans who know the answer then run on stage, some of them nude, singing along with Shop Owner.
He is Esportivan
And from the world
He is like our God, only even more

The PA System is hacked into by a fan, who leads the next part of the song.
You know the answer?
Tell me some more (Yeah!)
He inspires our evil
He's bigger then King Kong!
Don't like being evil?
May as well kiss the floor
Move into the gun factory cos

A large picture of Shop Owner is then projected onto the stage.
Shop Owner is King! (Yessir!)
Evil governments continue to reign! (Woohoo!!)
You should be never be downgraded! (Carn Evil!)
(Anyways)Who knows my name???!?!
(Shop Owner) Shop Owner is our King!

A live boardcast of the 3,000,000 Swordean fans watching the contest live at Orbett Stadium, Angelou then is projected onto the stage, with tears coming to Shop Owner's eyes.
I am evil
I just rock
Don't call me fat, or you'll be shot

Where are the kiddies?
The Swordean future
You'll do us proud eventually

Well, this remote
Controls you all!
Go back to your seats, you kind bungorfs!

I get paid
millions of bucks
Which is actually tax cash matey!

Shop Owner is King! (Yessir!)
Evil governments continue to reign!(Like us)
You should never be downgraded! (Come on, Evil!)
(Anyways)Who knows my name?
(Shop Owner)Shop Owner is our king!

Free ice cream is then thrown into the crowd
Be beast, be beast, if you're a Swordean!
Be beast, be beast, evil governments!
Be beast, be beast, footballing nations, yea!
Cos when you know who I am yea, say

Shop Owner breaks his electric guitar on stage, and is thrown a new acoustic guitar.
Shop Owner is King!
Evil governments continue to reign!
You should never be downgraded!(If you're evil!!!)
(Anyways)Who knows my name?
SHOP OWNER!!!! SHOP OWNER!!!! SHOP OWNER!!!!
Oh yes, Shop Owner is my name!

Shop Owner is then drenched with lemon squash, cola, beer and other beverages as he goes back to his green room, waiting for the Swordean Colony of Dennis Bergkamp to perform.

Robert Mark - Capitalists
Tune: http://m.youtube.com/?#/watch?v=C9uExokZcIM

Robert Mark is visible in the spotlight in the centre of the stage. He appears to be by himself. As he begins singing, the spotlight turns red and he lifts his head up. He sings with emotion in his voice.

My mother was kicked out of her home by a greedy landlord
My father kicked out of his job because money is worth more
We were left with no help at all
And those who did this to us must burn, burn, burn

As the chorus begins, a giant bonfire is lit, illuminating the stage. Robert picks up an effigy of Adam Smith and tosses into the fire, and more effigies and copies of "On the Wealth of Nations" are thrown onto it.

Kill all the capitalists
Make them feel our pain
Because they do not care
We are just a number to them
Kill all the capitalists
Show them life's worth more than gain
Kill them, over and over
So they know, over and over again

As the verse begins, even more objects are thrown onto the bonfire. A group of business walk onto the stage and are forced to throw their belongings into the fire. Dancers run onto the stage and begins a dance which represents a socialist revolution. The background also shows a revolution in some far-flung land in real time.

We must rise up and remove their scourge from the world
We have to fight for our rights or have none at all
They would rather see us die alone
Than have pity and help someone for once

The stadium lights become a deeper shade of red. Robert sings with real passion and this is clear. The background shows scenes in which capitalist are doing awful things, like destroying someone's house with them still inside. The fire grows so large it becomes a safety hazard.

Kill all the capitalists
Make them feel our pain
Because they do not care
We are just a number to them
Kill all the capitalists
Show them life's worth more than gain
Kill them, over and over
So they know, over and over again

As this section begins, Robert pumps his fist into the air whilst the dancers either do th same or fly capitalist flags.

Rise up
Rise up
Rise up against those
Who take and
Give nothing to us

During the chorus, the flags of Capitalist nations such as Mister X are thrown into the flag, along with effigies of their leaders to go with the ones of Adam Smith.

Kill all the capitalists
Make them feel our pain
Because they do not care
We are just a number to them
Kill all the capitalists
Show them life's worth more than gain
Kill them, over and over
So they know, over and over again

04. INSERT USERNAMES HERE
Image
The song "5 Years" is a reflection upon the divorce of Isobella from her husband Michael Burns. The song itself is reminiscent of Isobella's earlier song "Homeostasis", which reflected the more happier feelings Isobella had after marrying her husband.

Isobella Bachelor - 5 Years
Melody is to Bjork's Come To Me.

Isobella is standing onstage. Around her is a 10-piece orchestra playing various instruments.
5 Years
I promise, I'll wait for you
Find you
It's alright alright
You're lost
Just come to me
You don't have to know
I'll find you

While she was singing the previous part, a man looking similar to her ex-husband walks up to the stage. Isobella ignores him despite the man walking around and feeling her up.
You know
I love you
I see you
But you don't see me
And when you say it
I'll still follow
I'll find you

Isobella now notices the man and pushes him away. After he leaves, she appears distraught, half yelling, half singing:
Don't turn away
You know I'll find you
Try to escape
I'll escape too
I'll destroy all that keeps me away
And then I'll love you
You'll love me

The man appears again, except this time Isobella walks away from him before he can walk up to her. Despite the man's attempts to get Isobella's attention, she ignores him and he walks away.
You know
I love you
I see you
I still understand
If you don't want to hold my hand
I'll still go
I understand

After the song is over, Isobella and the rest of the performers all walk off the stage, having hopefully left a mark on the viewers.

05. TALVEZOUT - LIGHTS
Image
Modern Tears; group members are Tyler Rivera, Michelle Rossini, and Dominic Villa.
Melody is Arcade Fire's Reflektor.
Italicized means Tyler & Michelle
Bold means all together

The song starts off with all of the performers standing in the dark. Onstage are Modern Tears and a backing band, hidden behind a screen. As the song begins, the lights slowly fade into view, as Tyler sings:
Living in a world, a world of lights
Alone in darkness, don't know what's right
We had a love, alone in the night
Stuck in the white

After Tyler is done singing, he steps to the side so that Michelle, playing keyboards, is revealed. She sings, along with Tyler chiming in:
Between the boredom, between the horror
To the world of lights we will know

If this is wrong
I don't know where to go
If I can't find the light
It's not right

Dominic also walks up from the darkness, playing guitar. All three of the group members sing:
I thought," I'd found the answer!"
Its just a connector, it's just a connector
I thought, "I'd found what's right!"
It's just a connector, hidden in the lights

As the group members part away, Tyler sings:
So, the words we send become connected yet again
But are we living, are we even friends?
I thought there was a living afterglow
But then you're gone I don't know where to go

The group quickly gets back together again to sing the next line, with Tyler and Michelle in focus:
Enter the land, the land of old
The world of lights where no one goes

If this the light
I don't care
I don't know in the night
Whatever's right

The group members all walk closer to the edge of the stage, continuing to sing:
It's just another night, another light
I don't what's right
I thought, "I've found the answer!"
It's just a connector, just a Reflektor

The screen behind the group is illuminated; shadows of the band behind them, playing, appear.
What is the answer to the connection
Of the perfection to the connection,
Will I ever seek the light?
Between the land of horror
Is there a answer to the connection
of the perfection to resurrection,
Ah, will there ever be a right?
Between the land of boredom

(Aftá fó̱ta thymo̱ménos)

All of the lights onstage and around the arena go dark as spotlights shine on the performers. A mirror ball is shined upon during this part, reflecting light all over the arena. The group performs the next part:
Us on the skips, with little sons of discs
The world is plastic, it's broken to bits
I want to be free, but will I ever see

(Down Down Down)
The answer to what's right?

As the lighting begins to return to normal, the group members, now all apart, sing:
Will we ever find what's right?
We're alone, alone in the night
I thought, there was a light!
But there wasn't a answer

The shadows of backing band behind the group appear again as they play the next part of the song. Dominic walks up to sing:
I thought I was looking for the answer
I guess it was just a Reflektor
You thought you were looking for the answer
You know it's just a connector
We knew we looking for an answer
We know it was just a Reflektor

All of the groups members walk back to each other as they sing the final part of the song, with the screen hiding the backing band now removed.
In the lights
Blinding lights
Darkness of white
Will we ever find the light?
Looking for the light
Will we ever find the light?
Looking for what's right
In the darkness of white
Will we see the lights?

As all the lights come back on following the rather minimalist performance, all performers on stage thank the audience and walk away.

06. Al-Balansiyya
Samia Muskadel - Iyset Miħlub (I Will Carry On Dreaming)

Language: Kishraeli Balansiyyan
To the tune of: Alexandra Burke - Let It Go/Video Link

Due to the break up of the large nation of Kishrael, various other nations have claimed their independence, or various chunks of Kishrael and the surrounding areas due to this instability. One of these is the new nation of Al-Balansiyya. The new nation, formed from both former Kishraeli areas and previously unclaimed nations is viewed as the legitimate successor to Kishrael and its international position. It is due to this that Al-Balansiyya is able to participate in the WorldVision Song Contest. This is nothing new to Al-Balansiyya however, three of Kishrael's four winners hail from the nation, as do a number of other participants. It is because of this that Al-Balansiyya is viewed as the natural successor. to Kishrael. Samia Muskadel was the singer internally chosen to represent the nation. Originally the song was to be performed in Hebrew and Arabic, but the new national broadcaster decided to change it to Balansiyyan to set a better precedent for forthcoming editions. The song was a typical dance-pop song that Kishrael was known for, and Al-Balansiyya was likely to continue this trend. Samia was born in the Balansiyyan city of Serta, a coastal city. She rose to fame during her military service when she was popular among soldiers for her voice - she featured on a prominent film soundtrack which documented the lives of everyday soldiers as a result. Taking her dance-pop to WolrdVision is seen as an excellent platform for Samia, whom many Balansiyyans believe can be an international star.

The stage is dark as Samia is ready to be the first Arab participant for Kishrael, and the very first participant of the new Al-Balansiyya. As the first beats of the song begin, the camera is looking straight at Samia, she is wearing this. She is sitting at a dressing table seemingly looking into the mirror (which is the camera). As the beats continue, two backing dancers come and sit next to her, they were this. She has a headpiece into which she can sing to allow her to dance more freely. She remains seated as she begins to sing the song.

Ha’ir iwom ila ħadd (The city sleeps for nobody)
Wahadinya tilyebo minn eleh hakemat (And the world plays by those rules)
Methabd tadlatho d’sa’inlimnet’ha (Whatever happens I won’t lament her)
Gilal intiru rak waħd ħaya (Because we have only one life)

As the next part begins four male dancers dressed all in black, wearing these masks pull the table away and Samia spins around on her chair. She then looks directly into the camera, gesticulating with her arms for the next part.

Saniyset miħlub, iyset miħlub (I will carry on dreaming, carry on dreaming)
Saniyset miħlub, iyset miħlub (I will carry on dreaming, carry on dreaming)
Tolema hay miwsus, saniyset miħlub (As long as I’m living, I will carry on dreaming)

As the chorus begins she stands up and marches to the centre of the stage, as do her two female dancers, forming up behind her, and then her four male ones, forming up behind them. She pumps her fist in the air as she sings the chorus, her backing dancers swagger forward quickly, the male ones in particular dancing similar to the expressions on their masks.

Methabd problemat seth sa’ntir, sa’nnismeshkili, dhaya mibbub ta mahar (Whatever problems I may have, I'll forget my troubles, I am not scared of tomorrow)
Din dinya d’saniwqefni, laħ qistion keyf zhafa ninder, sa’nsir qawiya babab (Never will this world stop me, no matter how weak I go I’ll become strong again)
Saniyset miħlub, iyset miħlub (I will carry on dreaming, carry on dreaming)
Saniyset miħlub, iyset miħlub (I will carry on dreaming, carry on dreaming)
Saniyset miħlub, iyset miħlub (I will carry on dreaming, carry on dreaming)
Saniyset miħlub, iyset miħlub (I will carry on dreaming, carry on dreaming)

As the verse begins again, Samia marches down one of the runways with her female dancers, as her male dancers go down the other. When they reach the end they begin to have a dance off, each one reacting to the other's moves.

Zmanab sa’siru yebs aktar (Times will become tougher)
Likin honelek laħ limita ilħalmi (But there’s no ceiling to my dreams)
Gakelim dintir neto sigurita (Although I haven’t a safety net)
Intiru rak waħd ħaya (We have only one life)

Saniyset miħlub, iyset miħlub (I will carry on dreaming, carry on dreaming)
Saniyset miħlub, iyset miħlub (I will carry on dreaming, carry on dreaming)
Tolema hay miwsus, saniyset miħlub (As long as I’m living, I will carry on dreaming)

This ends in both sets of dancers running back onto the main stage, dancing this time in sync. Samia is left standing on the edge of the catwalk to sing the chorus. She too dances on her own, and shots of her and the dancers interchange while she sings the chorus with energy and vigour.

As the chorus ends Samia goes back to join her dancers. The male ones lift her up on their shoulders and she faces the stadium ceiling. She sings the final verse into the camera from on top of the dancers, gesticulating with her hands while she looks playfully into the camera.

Sa’nsit wasaninset, sanitfes wasanadya (I will fall and rise, dim and shine)
Adom odem, blu zafir, sanabka esperans (Ruby red, sapphire blue, I will remain hopeful)

She is let down for the final chorus as she and her dancers form up appropriately and dance in time to the music, swaggering forward and jumping. The dance routine eventually falls into disarray as purple confetti falls and smoke shoots out from the stage, making the stage seem like a nightclub event. The impression is that Samia is very much enjoying herself.

Saniyset miħlub, iyset miħlub (I will carry on dreaming, carry on dreaming) x2

As the song finishes Samia breathes hard, pumping her fist up in the air. Hearing the roar of the crowd she smiled, "Thank you Regica! Thank you world!". After this her and her dancers take a bow before they are ushered off stage for the next act.

Elle Foentenstaan, winner of Ekoes Soekke vor Winaar represents Ekoz with her song Remember Me. Elle landslide victory is the highest percentage of any winner of a national final that has been staged by the STE, with 76% of the votes.

Elle stands directly center stage. She is wearing a flowy white dress, and is barefoot. Her long blonde hair is loosely curled. To the left of her is a guitarist sat on a block. Behind Elle is a white screen on stage. Behing the screen are ShadowArten acting out through shadow work what Elle sings about. The guitarist whistles...

There was a boy, I was his girl,
He said “One day I’m gonna give to you the world”
Life had begun, he was my one,
But then he told me something I could not forget…
(ahh)
He said “Just don’t ever be sad,
I’ll always be there for you babe, it’s ok”

As Elle starts the chorus, ShadowArten behind the screen enact a man in a hospital bed, with the woman leaning to the side of him. As the chorus starts, a wind machine starts blowing Elle's hair slightly.

But I have to go. I have to fly,
You’ll find me whenever you look up to the sky.
So I got you this, a little pearl,
And when you see this, you’ll remember you’re my girl,
Just promise, you’ll rem-me-e-ember, me.
rem-me-e-ember, me
rem-me-e-ember, me
rem-me-e-ember, me”

As Elle starts the second verse, the lighting turns slightly darker, Elle walks up to the backdrop and turns to the side in which a grave is made through the shadows.

The fifth of June, came oh so soon.
It was a year today he spoke his final words,
It isn’t sad, no it’s not sad,
Because the future held for me a little girl,
(ahh)
And as I tuck her into bed,
I tell her all the things her father said,

A shadow of a little girl appears. Elle turns to the shadow, smiles and walks towards the centre of the stage where she sings the chorus.

He had to go. He had to fly,
You’ll find him whenever you look up to the sky.
So he got you this, a little pearl,
And when you see this, you’ll remember you’re his girl,
Just promise, you’ll rem-me-e-ember, him.
rem-me-e-ember, him

Elle walks to a part of the stage that has not yet been shown, in which there is a stone wall, similar to that of a balcony of an old building; Elle stands behind it. A little blonde girl appears behind the balcony too.

So as the day ends, I look right up to the sky,
Oh, I tell him everything yeah.
I tell him things about his lovely little girl,
Who’s called Pearl,

I tell him I remem-em-ember him,
remem-em-ember him
oooooh, oh. Yeah.

On the final chorus, Elle walks to the centre of the stage. As she starts to sing, petals fall onto the stage and onto the audience members from the roof of the stadium

You had to go. You had to to fly,
I'll find you whenever I look up to the sky.
So you got me this, a little pearl,
And when I see this, I’ll remember I'm your girl,
I promise, I’ll rem-me-e-ember, you.
rem-me-e-ember, you

Something More - Kadam

Kadam were waiting patiently in the green room. A lot of the acts so far had been joke entries but the last three countries to perform had been Talvezout, Al-Balanssiya (technically a WorldVision virgin but widely deemed as Kishrael's successor) and Ekoz - all very successful WorldVision countries. Kadam knew they needed to stand out.

Their song about childhood aspiration, Something More, had won the first ever Chameliyali national final and now they were moments away from playing in front of the world. The thought of it both excited and terrified them. God, please don't let us screw up. A stage director was waving at them, it was time.
The lead singer, Lila Gurung, stood in front of the band who were set up behind her in a semi-circle. Lila wore a simple summer dress whilst the rest of the band wore an assortment of t-shirt and jacket combinations. As the music started, the lights went down, cloaking Kadam in darkness whilst the screen showed a group of Chameliyali children saying hello to the camera. Around the stadium, a voice recording could be heard;

To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.

The screen then changed to show an open field. Every now and then, a child runs through the field in slow motion. The lights come back on as Lila steps up to the microphone to sing.

I, I’m gonna be someone
I’m gonna be a star and you will have to see me shine
You, you say it never happens
You say I’ll never make it and I’m just wasting my time

The camera is right in front of Lila as she smiles sweetly into the camera and sways gently to the music.

I, tell you I’m a dreamer
I tell you life’s too short for looking at it through windows
You, you say I’m being foolish
You say I’d better come back down to earth and be like so

The lights begin to dim. Kadam are still visible, but the rest of the stadium is very dark as Lila takes her microphone from her the stand and begins to step out towards the front of the stage looking meaningfully into the camera leading her.

And I see your eyes
Waiting for me to mess it up and fall
Because you don’t know
This is my destiny, I’m something more

The lights gently fade up again. An aerial camera pans around the stadium, showing the flags in the auditorium gracefully moving in time to the xylophone. The cameras return to Lila, now standing near the front of the stage and joined by three young boys dressed in miniature traditional mountain clothes. The boys link hands and dance around Lila as she continues to sing.

You, you’re gonna miss me some day
You’re gonna regret that you let me slip out of your life
You, you’re gonna come back crawling
You’re gonna say that we could work, please let’s go back in time

Three young girls, dressed in traditional clothes also, come onto the stage and take the boys' hands, and join the boys' dance around Lila.

I, I‘m gonna disappoint you
I’m gonna say that you should have thought of all this before
I, I’m gonna say it’s too bad
I’m gonna say that it’s a shame but now I’m something more

The boys and girls stop dancing and rush towards Lila to give her a hug. She gives them all a kiss on the cheek in front of the camera much to the approval of the audience who start clapping and cheering. As the xylophones chime for the last time, she stands up and smiles at the crowd and gently speaks into her microphone, "Thank you! Dhanyabad!".

09- Bloodbath Generation
All I Want Is You- Selin
to the tune of Ellie Goulding-Love Me Like You Do

After a disappointing result last edition, BGBC looked back to the national music charts. Reigning at number one for 6 weeks was the future entry to Worldvision, "All I Want Is You". Selin was a 41 year old musical and performance artist who had a moderately successful solo career, but found herself on the top of the charts 6 years in a row due to her songwriting and production credits. Her song has been described as a "sweeping electropop piece with a powerful chorus". Despite this, the running order put her early in the show, sandwiched between a breezy pop song and a debut nation with what Bloodbathian commentators called "the most powerful performance on stage since our own Lauren Meade". This year, an installation from the Museum of Modern Art made its way onto the stage. Called the Rain Room, a 50-square meter space where one can walk through rain without getting wet. It created an uncomprable atmosphere and powerful performance.

The performance began with a closeup of a girl from the waist down, walking slowly like so (0:00-0:08).The camera zoomed out to see the girl looking around, then touching an unseen object that subsequently caused rain to fall gracefully from the cieling; at the very moment rain began to fall and a glowing blue light swept across the stage, violins came in and ushered the song. Selin was standing in the middle of the rain like so; unseen but still very close.

Your arms
were my home
the place where I could go
to escape
all the pain
of this world unknown to both of us
of us

Now that world
it is ours
it's in the palms of our hands
So take mine
follow me
I can show you all that we could be
You'll see
You'll see

The instrumental dissapeared, and the rain parted to both sides of Selin. She stood alone in the middle; the path in front of her, facing the audience with the spotlight shining on her, was completely dry. She stood like so as she sung the melody behind muted strings.

But all I want is you
All all all I want is you
Every inch of you
Every single inch of you
All I want is you
All all all I want is you, oh
What have you got to lose?

There was now a more intense, loud drum section taking prominence, with Selin's voice piercing through it all as she continued the next verse, her face still hidden. The rain had now parted, with a clear path seemingly burned by the spotlight in front of her like this.

Is her name
on your tongue
Is she all you think about
Crossing mountains
through the seas
but you would never do the same for me
for me

Here we stand alone
so close and yet so far
So let your eyes meet mine
and I'll show you all that we could be
all we could ever be, oh

Now with the melody, Selin whipped her arm out to the side, and with that motion the camera panned out to see a crowd of people in the distance singing along with her. None of their faces could be seen, however, including Selin's.

All I want is you
All all all I want is you
All I want is you (only you)
All all all I want is you
Every inch of you
Every single inch of you
What is there to lose?

All I want is you
All all all I want is you
Every inch of you
Every single inch of you
What have you got to lose?

The beat began to slow down, and the instrumental stripped to the bare minimum of Selin and muted strings during the bridge. She was shown in a dramatic closeup shot like so, and, as she hit her big note, the light began to slowly reveal her face.

Here we stand alone
so close and yet so far
So let your eyes meet mine
and I'll show you all that we could be
all we could ever be

As the orchestra began to swirl up the scale and Selin extended her note, the camera zoomed out and circled around the full stage, revealing that the entire performance was enclosed inside the stage itself. Once showing the sheer magnitude of the rain room, the room suddenly disintegrated, breaking apart like Eric Saade's glass box. The raindrops did not get anyone in the audience wet; however.

All I want is you
All all all I want is you
All I want is you (only you)
All all all I want is you
Every inch of you
Every single inch of you
What is there to lose?

All I want is you
All all all I want is you
Every inch of you
Every single inch of you
What have you got to lose?
Ah, ah...

Selin finished the performance looking down, then back up at the audience. Now completely cleared, the stage was normal again. A stunned audience got up onto their feet in applause; Worldvision had never seen modern art and musical performance collide in such a manner, and it had clearly made an impact.

10. IZMEDU
Dejana Horvat - Harmony

Tune: Jelena Tomasevic - Oro

RTI was in constant conflict after seeing the results from Mullhipu. First, there was relief, the gamble with Zlatica did pay off with the country's first foray into the top 10 and its highest ever points total. However, the ambitions of placing Izmedu into the very top were dashed, and RTI had long debates on the country's future direction. There were initial plans to send someone like Zlatica as the fourth entrant. However, many of those in RTI felt the country had lost much of its original roots in the contest and cultural expression had all but disappeared. After much deliberation and debate, it was decided that the fourth entry would be something similar to Izmedu's debut, but with a different take. RTI had unearthed a few songs written and composed by someone who the channel had begged to write WorldVision songs for, under the condition that he would not perform on the contest. The channel was hoping to save them until the country had began a host bid, but regardless, RTI had chosen one song from that pile and looked around the country for someone who could potentially sing it.

The channel, after an unsuccessful search throughout the nation, was led to Dejana Horvat after a talent scout had visited a local concert in the eastern coast city of Mousiki that Dejana was headlining. It was to her unexpected and pleasant surprise that RTI had approached her with an offer to perform in the WorldVision Song Contest. Dejana was a seasoned singer who, while having considerable local fame, was 'bubbling under' in terms of the greater Izmeduan public. Unlike many of her contemporaries, Dejana stayed squarely in Izmeduan adult contemporary, finding inspiration in artists like Anthony Bernardini, Valentina Loncar, and Dejan Mlakar. All three had incredible renown and recognition in Izmeduan pop history. When Dejana had heard the instrumental of the entry, she was ecstatic and filled with joy. The song was right within her wheelhouse, it was a ballad that built to sweeping choruses and contained lyrics that spoke to her as an Izmeduan. It was only icing in the cake when Dejana had found out who had written and composed the song she would be singing, Dejan Mlakar, Izmeduan pop legend and one of the country's most popular artists.

The journey to the WorldVision stage was a wild and exhilirating one. Here she was, ready to perform to the world. Walking away from the green room and the delegation, Dejana took a deep breath as she stepped onto the stage.

The stage is bathed in darkness, with only a faint white light that allowed the visages of the performers on the stage to glow. From the perspective of the audience, there was one man holding a tamburica on the left, a woman holding a frula in the center-back, and another woman with a violin at the right of the stage. There were also four people, two men and two women, that were also situated at the center, acting as the background singers. With the way the four were arranged, there was a centerpiece missing that is waiting to be filled. The camera is tilted, showing a wide view of the entire stage to the viewers at home as the camera continually moves and tilts slightly to the right.

The song begins, the first thing being heard is a tamburica playing a slow melody. As that melody continues, a faint female figure can be seen getting on the stage from the center, walking slowly and with grace towards the center-front. As that figure reached the center-front, she was shortly revealed to be Dejana Horvat herself, wearing a light grey dress. She went to the small opening that the backup singers had created and situated herself at the center. The singers had their heads down as Dejana prepared herself to sing, and a small spotlight began to shine on her as she sang the first line.

Whispers of the wind
Mind and body converging as one
I am at peace

Small billows of smoke began to arise from the stage, as the backup singers behind Dejana began to slowly move. They inched away from Dejana and began to subconsciously pair themselves and exchange looks of longing to their new partner. As Dejana sang, computer-generated water began to slowly form on the screens, making slight waves as a baby blue hue began to envelop the stage. A small wind effect also blew through the stage, making Dejana's dress billow left and right slightly.

Flowing from the river
A confluence forms in my soul
I move with grace and I am truly whole

The backup singers, almost as if acting with the lines, began to disavow the coupling that had occurred earlier and began to link hands, forming a circle around each other and getting closer, becoming a physical confluence of human bodies. The water effect began to get more and more complex, almost flowing like a river on the screens now. Dejana had arms out as she sang, making caressing motions with her arms as she sang and making motions back to her chest whenever necessary.

Nature seeks those
Who found harmony

The full focus was on Dejana for the final two lines, with Dejana softly holding the last note on the song's title. As the verse ended, there was a build-up to the chorus, with the song preparing to sweep.

When the song transitioned to the chorus, all of the stage lights emitted the color of light blue with a high intensity, with some of them moving down to shine on the stage. Dejana also had both of her arms to the side and rising up with her hands at a curl as the lights rose, making it look like she was conducting the lights with the chorus. The chorus was wordless, being carried by the frula player. The violin player had also played along, but the frula was the main star here. As the frula continued on with its melody, the camera had focused on the frula player for a few seconds before the camera faded back to Dejana, who had her eyes closed and was pulling one of her arms back at the final line of the frula's melody.

The chorus repeated itself again, with the same sweeping effect but at a greater intensity. The backup singers had joined at the frula's repetition of the melody, and sang along at a chant-like fashion. Even though there were more lights, they were arranged in a way that it would be impossible for someone at home or in the audience to fully see the backup singers or instrument players in detail. All four backup singers had their arms linked together as they sang, looking at the audience as they did so. Dejana had turned away from the audience, with one of her arms reaching up, almost as if she were trying to reach for the heavens. The camera focused on her as she did so, with her looking yearnful and even lost. As the chorus became softer, Dejana set down her arm and clasped it against the microphone, looking down with eyes closed as she turned back to the audience in preparation for the second verse.

The light of the sun
Giving us the energy to live

Some of the lights from the chorus had died down as Dejana sang, and the blue hue from the first verse changed into a yellow hue, with some of the lights beating down on the stage turning white as a way to reconcile the hue change. The screens started to show a forming forest and land mass next to the flowing river, which was also starting to reflect an invisible sunlight. The river was flowing more intensely and a slightly stronger wind effect was added in when Dejana sang the second line, making the edges of her dress sway left and right. The female backup singers also supported Dejana through the verse, with the males forlornly walking about in direction that seemed to be random, but not drifting too far from their female counterparts.

We are nurtured
Trees of the forest
Sheltering us from the raging storm

Dejana tilted her head slowly to the right as she sang, making slow and deliberate movements with her hands to accentuate the lyrics. At the second verse's fourth line, there was a successive trio of beats that brought about it three successive lights on the stage that shined yellow to the beat. At this, Dejana and the backup performers had made their upper bodies arc forward slightly, with Dejana looking to the side temporarily before repositioning herself at the start of the next line. On the screen, the trees and land mass were fully formed, now providing the viewers with a somewhat complete picture. It was a river flowing through a forest.

I search for nature
I find harmony

The backup singers stepped closer to Dejana at the close of the second verse, creating an opening and flanking themselves next to her as the song began to slowly build for the chorus. At the last line, the frula can be heard adding to the build up, a common motif often used for some Izmeduan pop ballads. The wind effect began to get stronger, with her hair and dress moving at a first rate and the lights beginning to intensify.

Sklad i mir
Sklad i mir i mir i mir i mir i sklad

The stage shone with a high-intensity white light, with the wind effect hitting its peak with Dejana's dress and hair blowing about wildly, especially to her right. Dejana had her back arched and one hand out as she sang this, with the backup singers linking hands and both arms held out. They chanted along with her as she sang the chorus with as much passion as she could. The song crescendoed to its peak, a full blown orchestra being played in the backing track, giving an almost epic, larger-than-life feel to the second chorus. On the screen, the sun is shining against the trees, with the rays going against the gaps and shining both on the river and the direction of the audience.

Sklad i mir
Sklad i mir i mir i mir i mir i sklad

Harmony and peace
Harmony and peace and peace and peace and peace and harmony

The camera then focused on Dejana as the chorus repeated itself, keeping the same intensity as before. A dutch angle was on Dejana as she sang, with her delivering the lines with as much ferocity as she could. The instrumentation quickly softened as this chorus ended.

I've found meaning
I am now whole
I exist in harmony

The instrumentation became soft and the lights dimmed, with the focus now squarely on Dejana as she clasped the microphone with both hands. She looked as if she were in peace, contented, even if pangs of exhaust could be clearly seen. The backup singers moved up, making a line of five people instead of them just merely flanking Dejana. Now, there two singers on Dejana's left and right, with her being the center.

Sklad i mir!
Sklad i mir i mir i mir i mir i slkad
Sklad i mir!
Sklad i mir i mir i mir i mir i sklad

The music crescendoed once again as the white lights came back. Dejana had one arm up as she sang, bringing as much power as she could to her voice. The screen behind her showed the river flowing at a high rate, to the point where foams would appear, with the trees shaking in the wind. However, instead of it being daytime like it was earlier, it could clearly be seen that it was sunset, though the sun rays were still visibly shining through. The camera flashed about various scenes, with some on the frula player, and a sweeping shot of Dejana and the four background singers next to her, with Dejana passionately singing the chorus.

I've found meaning
I am now whole
I exist in harmony

The song was now commencing its conclusion, with the screen's simulated sun setting behind the trees. What happened on the screen coincided with the lights dimming at the chorus' end, with a lone light only shone on Dejana now and the blue hue from the first verse returning. The background singers, especially those on the far left and right, moved with their hands linked, forming a small circle. However, Dejana did not move, as she was the visible side of the forming circle to the audience.

We are bound to
Our earth, our home
We truly live in...
Harmony

Dejana sang these slowly, almost as if each line was one of the time. The camera switched to an angle that was in close proximity to her face. She looked to the camera directly, as if she was almost speaking directly to the viewer as a final entreatment before the song ended. She ended the song with a soft high note, and let it end after a short amount of time holding it so as to not introduce unneeded vocal pyrotechnics.

The camera faded to a shot of the entire stage at Dejana's closing line as the tamburica and frula together closed out the song. Dejana linked her hands with the background singers, finally completing the circle. Her head was up and her eyes closed as the song ended peacefully, no bangs or final hurrahs.

She could hear the cheers of the crowd as the sounds of the tamburica and frula faded, which was the signal to start cheering. Dejana opened her eyes and saw the stage back at regular lighting and the various flags of nations that have participating flailing wildly about the audience. She unlinked arms with the background singers and held the microphone to her hand.

“Hvala.” Dejana said to the audience, removing her earpiece as she said her thanks.

Dejana and her company quickly took their leave, not wanting to delay the set-up of the next entry.

(Sataeveni Jamuri - Loving Is Easy)

Image

Sataeveni Jamuri was born in Aloc, Bruirn on February 14th, 1978. Interested in music at a young age, he started singing in his church’s gospel group at the age of 12, leaving two years later when his voice broke. In 1995, at the age of 17, he founded the R&B a cappella group Raspberry Ripple with a few friends, enjoying reasonable success until their breakup in October 1999.

In August 2000, he released his first solo album “Sings”, which sold 250,000 copies by the end of the year - around an eighth of the population of the time - followed by a successful tour. Follow-up albums Luf (2002) and Here for You (2005) transformed him into a household name, with concerts frequently selling out. His fourth album, Radiant, was released in 2012 and has announced that a self-titled autobiographical fifth album will be out later this year.

From 2008-2011, he occasionally rapped under the name Steve James. He had gotten into it when he collaborated with his brother-in-law “Father” Clint Power (born 1989) on a song. Originally, Power just wanted to use a sample, but, during the recording, Jamuri performed an improvised rap that made its way onto the song. Joining forces with then-up and coming horrorcore rapper The Truth (real name Rodolfo Hernández, born 1990), the trio formed the supergroup The Trinity. In 2011, he announced his retirement from rapping, stating “It was just a little bit of fun and I was starting to feel that I was straying from my roots.” He was replaced by The Baroness (real name Emi Talomir, born 1986) shortly afterwards and the group has been going strong since.

Since 1998, he has been married to his wife Amili, who sometimes provides backing vocals to her husband’s songs when she’s not busy with her solo career. He has a cousin, Deni, who plays drums. He and Amili also have a son, Arik (born 1999).

Slightly dismayed by their 25th place finish in Mullhipu, ETV had to make sure that their entry for this competition was worthy of at least 10th place. And so, after a not-so-long search, they managed to find the perfect person for the job: Sataeveni Jamuri, a multiple Ele Award-winning soul and R&B singer, who later said of the song “Amili and I wrote this in about fifteen minutes. It’s not the best song we’ve written - in fact, it’s a slight dig at myself and how I feel I’m running out of steam - but it might end up with a good result.” Although Sataeveni is naturally a baritone, he has decided to choose a much higher register for this song, as it would fit the music.

At first, the stage was dark, with the audience barely able to see who was on stage. As Deni started drumming, the entire stage was bathed in a rose-coloured light, which - although dark - gave the audience enough light to see who was who and who was wearing what; with the LCD backdrop behind the showing a forest of love hearts and the phrase “I love you” written in all the languages. On stage was Sataeveni Jamuri, the main lead singer, standing roughly in the middle of the stage. With him, his cousin Deni, who was sitting behind his drums a foot behind Sataeveni; and his wife Amili, as well as a few locals, as backing singers on the far-left of the stage. Also joining them was a string quartet - joined by a bassist, a couple of guitarists and a keyboardist - forming a line behind them, all sitting down on black fold-out metal chairs.

Sataeveni was wearing a black tuxedo, with a black untied bow tie casually draped around his shoulders and a white handkerchief folded up in his suit jacket’s pocket. Amili was wearing a black cocktail dress, with no shoes on and her hair up in a style faintly resembling a beehive. Everyone else was dressed the same way, except their bow ties were tied up (the men) or they were wearing black court shoes (the women).

Just before Sataeveni started singing, the light went from rose-coloured to a bright white spotlight shining on him, with a dull white spotlight being shone on everyone else. He then began singing, with his eyes closed.

Ooh…

He then opened his eyes and began the first verse.

Baby you know how much I love you
And you should know my love is true
And if you want me, I’m yours forever
I belong to no one else, darling, yeah...
Hold my hand and I will show
I’ll show you the way to go

Just as he began singing the chorus, he took the microphone out of the stand and - rather than be a repeat of WorldVision 36 - he looked at his wife.

Oh, darling, can’t you see?
You are the one for me
I know this ‘cause loving is easy
Come on and take my hand
And soon you’ll understand
I know this ‘cause loving is easy

As he was finishing the chorus and starting the second verse, he put the microphone back onto the stand.

Don’t worry about a thing
Just listen to the words that I sing
And you know how much I love you, I really do
I love you with all my heart, baby, yeah...
Open up and you will find
I will love you for all time

He started pointing towards the audience, moving his hand across as he was singing the chorus

Oh, darling, can’t you see
You are the one for me
I know this ‘cause loving is easy
Come on and take my hand
And soon you’ll understand
I know this ‘cause loving is easy

The lights dimmed on Sataeveni as he held onto his microphone and looked down to the stage. Meanwhile, the lights brightened on his backing singers.

I love you baby
I love you baby
Ooh…

Ooh… Yeah…
Ma luf yu, hart
Ooh… Yeah
Ma luf yu, hart
Ooh... Yeah…
Ma hart fo yu

Before he sang the next verse, the lights brightened back onto Sataeveni and dimmed on the backing singers.

Baby you know my love is true
And I love you, I really do
And if you want me I’m yours forever
I want to be there by your side for all time, baby
Hold my hand... and I will show
I’ll show you the... way to go

He then raised his arms in the air, palms facing the ceiling.

Oh, darling, can’t you see (yeah, yeah)
You are the one for me
I know this ‘cause loving is easy

He then lowered his hands, grabbing the microphone with his left hand.

Come on and hold my hand (Oh…)
And soon you’ll understand
I know this ‘cause loving is easy

(Oh, yeah) Oh, darling, can’t you see
You are
the one for me (Oh, baby, yeah)
I know this ‘cause loving is easy
Come on and
take my hand (Oh…)
And soon you’ll understand
I love you…

As the song got closer to the end, the lights on Sataeveni dimmed slightly, slowly fading back into the rose-coloured lighting from the beginning.

I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you…
(I know this ‘cause loving is easy
Oh, darling, can’t you see)

You are the one for me
I know this ‘cause loving is easy
Come on and hold my hand
And soon you’ll understand

I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you…

Unlike in the real-life song, when it just fades out, Sataeveni and his backing singers just stopped singing at that last bit. The instrumentals continued playing for a few seconds before eventually coming to a gentle finish.

When the song was over, the stage was bathed in a white light as Sataeveni, the backing singers and the instrumentalists stood in a line facing the cameras, held hands and bowed to the audience in unison. “Fenci, Amaesakom! Hef god nit!“ He shouted to the audience and, by extension, to the people back home. Afterwards, Sataeveni and Amili kissed each other as everyone else stopped holding hands and walked off-stage, the married couple doing the same a couple of of seconds later.

”Ma luf ya” - “I love you”. “Hart”, meaning “heart”, is a term of endearment along the lines of “sweetheart”
“Ma hart fo yu” - “My heart [is] for you”
“Fenci, Amaeaskom! Hef god nit” - “Thank you, Ë-Mieszkóm! Have [a] good night!”.

Italicized - Backup singers
Bold - Siren and backup singers

Siren sat still on the dark stage that was decorated in forest scenery. It had been a long road from singing on BatTube to now being on the WorldVision stage. There was no way she could have ever imagined having this opportunity. It had been many editions since Vampirum participated in the contest, now she was there to, hopefully, give them a win. Besides the fact that she had never performed under such pressure, she had also never been around so many humans before. Like any Vampirian participant she was given strict reminders to not bite a human. Her red eyes looked over the crowd who couldn't see her yet and took a deep breath — the song was about to begin.

As the melody played the lights grew brighter to reveal Siren sitting Indian style on the floor with a male dancer or her “partner” for the performance, sitting across from her in the same style. Around them were seven interpretive dancers who all wore various colored dresses and had their heads down. As the music played the dancers began twirling around Siren and her partner. They then all jumped back as Siren and her partner slowly rose to their feet and began approaching each other. As they moved, the largest tree began changing colors from red, gold, green, and blue. When they were close enough, the male dancer reached out and put his arms around her. Siren leaned into his touch as she began singing. On the screen, an abstraction of various colors appeared and moved along with the melody.

Moonlight
You know I’m addicted to those long nights
You’re so new
I’m mesmerized by the things you do
Like fresh air
Yeah, I’m dreaming about the next time I can be next to you
Next to you

The dancers began moving their hands from left to right behind Siren. Siren stepped away from her partner only for him to reach out for her again. She pointed and looked seemingly at him though she was actually looking into the camera.

We’re falling deeper into the hole
And we don’t know where it goes

But we’ll jump into the unknown

The stage lights flashed and a animated image appeared on the screen as she sung the chorus.

Cause we got all the time in the world
So let’s act like I can be your only girl
If just for tonight we won’t deny this urge
We’re stuck in Wonderland
No escape from Wonderland

We go round and round down the endless road
And you always make me feel so out of control
If just for tonight we won’t deny this urge
While we’re in Wonderland
No escape from Wonderland

The stage lights turned a pale orange as the abstraction on the screen changed again. Siren and her partner began walking towards each other again, but four of the dancers slid between them and pushed Siren away from him. The other three dancers rose their hands above their heads and began twirling. Siren's expression turned pained as she allowed the four dancers to push her away from him. The illuminated trees around them began to dim as if withering. One of the stage cameras zoomed in on her as she reached out her hand and started to sing again.

Poisoned words
You’re saying things I've already heard
Our fading truth
You keep being my only excuse
This cycle
Oh, we push and we pull then make up tomorrow
Tomorrow

The dancers pretended to fall as they lowered themselves slowly to the floor. The stage lights dimmed until only a single spotlight was on Siren. She wrapped her arms around herself and sung out into the crowd.

We’re falling deeper into the hole
And we don’t know where it goes

But we’ll jump into the unknown

The lights flashed and the entire stage was illuminated. The screen switched to another pattern, and laser lights went out into the crowd. Siren and her partner walked towards each other again. When they were close, Siren leaned in as if she was about to kiss him before singing the chorus.

We won't deny
We won't deny
We’re in Wonderland

The trees around them began to glow as the dancers waved their hands side to side in the air. Siren looked out into the audience and began singing the end of the song with all she had. The laser lights strobed around the stage and into the audience as the melody changed.

So take me there
So take me there
Yeah so take me there

Ohhhhhhhhh oohhhh ohhhhh

Wonderland

Siren's partner reached out for her again as she stepped away from him. Around them, the lights dimmed and the dancers slowly backed away into the darkness of the stage. Siren threw her hand into the air as she sung the ending of the song.

Ohhh we go round and round down the endless road
And you always make me feel so out of control
If just for tonight we won’t deny this urge
While we’re in Wonderland
No escape from Wonderland

The lights flashed for a final time before they all went out, leaving only a single spotlight on Siren who looked towards the darkness of the stage where her partner once was.

Siren waved to the cheering audience as the stage lights turned on. The dancers came back on the stage and they all bowed. "Mulțumesc, thank you!" She blew them a kiss and waved again. Siren then left the stage with the dancers following behind her.

Joanne Hugenot - Reclaim My Heart
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Si9K0ChHzDI

Joanne stands in the middle of the stage in this dress. To her left is a guitarist, and to the right a particularly handsome keytarist, whilst behind her is the drummer. As the song begins, the lights flash on before returning to normal. The background shows two speakers which move in time to the beat of the song.

I don't know why you did
What you did to me
But I know that
It was wrong
And I will get my revenge
Be on top once again
And you know that
I will get you

As the second verse/bridge bit begins, the lights dims ever so slightly and the speakers are replaced by two beating hearts. As this section begins to end, the keytarist walks towards Joanne, but she pushes him away.

I was a victim of your cruel game
But that stops now
Now you will feel my wrath, just like I felt yours
Surely, you will realise
There's no escape, you can't stop it
Just hope your god will save you now
I will finally get what is mine
There's no stopping me, and I will

As the chorus begins, the background shows hearts going horizontally across a white background. They are coloured either red, black or gold.

Reclaim my heart and you will know it
You will finally feel my pain
And I won't stop 'til I get it
You have no chance of saving yourself
From what you've got yourself into
And I won't be merciful
Reclaim, reclaim, reclaim

The background returns to how it was during the first verse

I'm tired of the excuses
Of the lies and the rumours
I want you to
Know what it's like
When your heart grows cold
And you realise that
There's no going back
That they've left you for good

As the verse/bridge bit begins, Joanne walks to the edge of the stage and encourages the crowd to clap along and get involved. Halfway through, the guitarist walks towards her but she pushes him away, similar to how she did the keytarist.

I am tired of the suffering and pain
But now I am free
You betrayed me, left me in the dark
But now I can see
There's no escape, you can't stop it
Just hope your god will save you now
I will finally get what is mine
There's no stopping me, and I will

A similar thing happens in this chorus as in the last

Reclaim my heart and you will know it
You will finally feel my pain
And I won't stop 'til I get it
You have no chance of saving yourself
From what you've got yourself into
And I won't be merciful
Reclaim, reclaim, reclaim

The lights dim and wind machines are turned on, blowing around Joanne's dress. She sings with real expression which is clear in her voice and her face

You left me alone
You left me heartbroken
You heartless man, how could you?
You don't know what it's like being me

As the final chorus begins, the lights become brighter and Joanne, whilst singing, corrales the audience in dancing. They are greatly enjoying the song.

Reclaim my heart and you will know it
You will finally feel my pain
And I won't stop 'til I get it
You have no chance of saving yourself
From what you've got yourself into
And I won't be merciful
Reclaim, reclaim, reclaim

15 - the "Federation of Free Republics"
Kill Me (Tune), Performed and written by Scarlett Nicholls

Scarlett Nicholls walked back onto the WorldVision stage for her second WorldVision appearance and first since WorldVision 35. The Legion of Lucifer singer, once again, allowed her long, bleached blonde hair to flow freely in defiance of the teachings of the True Church of Iesus Christus. She was, once again, dressed in her trademark low-cut red dress, which was oh so scandalous back home. This time around, however, she walked out carrying a handgun in one hand and grabbed the microphone with the other.

Scarlett Nicholls wrote:Hello Ë-Mieszkóm! Hello Regica! And last, but certainly not least, hello to everybody watching around the multiverse! It feels so good to be back at WorldVision!

She paused, to give the crowd some time to applaud...

Scarlett Nicholls wrote:As you have probably heard, if you have been following international news recently, there is a gang of terrorists on the loose at the moment. They say that they are carrying out the "Will of God" and they say that they are merely paying the "Wages of Sin." To these lunatics who want to drag our multiverse back to the 11th century, "Sin" is anything that their evil God Iesus doesn't like, which is basically everything fun! Today, I want to send a message to the Patriarch of St. Petrus, his puppet in Republica and his gang of genocidal, homicidal, misanthropic terrorists that I will not be intimidated by them. I will not submit to the Christian State. I will not submit to Consul Kulseth. I will not submit to that inbred Patriarch. I will not submit to King Petrus the Football Player and I sure as hell WILL NOT submit to Iesus. Not now, not ever. Now, I think I'll take off this dress and show you what the Church of St. Petrus's "God" doesn't want you to see!

Scarlett took off her dress, once again revealing red lingerie that read "Legion of Lucifer" on the front side. This time around, they also contained a little devil emblem, just to drive the point home even more.

Scarlett Nicholls wrote:Thank you, thank you. Now, I have a few words for the Christian State and for the evil Church that sponsors this barbaric organization:

The tune started to play. Scarlett placed the gun to the side of her head and began to sing...

Are you gonna kill me now?
Or are you gonna kill me later?
Are you gonna gun me down?
Maybe you should burn me instead...

As she dared the Christian State to shoot her, Scarlett pulled the trigger, to the shock of everybody watching. If the gun had been loaded, she would have shot herself in the head on the WorldVision stage. However, it was not loaded. Then, before the crowd could recover from the shock of watching her pull the trigger, simulating the act of blowing her brains out, the stage was seemingly set on fire. Scarlett walked through the flames, seemingly unaffected by them.

You want me all scared tonight
Scared of your evil God
You want me to beg for mercy
Well, go ahead and do your worst

This section was a little more understated. Scarlett used a defiant tone to deliver these lines, making it clear to all that she was not intimidated by the Christian State.

You say that its the Will of God
You say these are the Wages of Sin
You say I'm a sinner
You say I'm a whore but
I'm all that and more!
Maybe on the other side, I can kill you instead
I'm all that and more!
Maybe on the other side, I can kill you instead!

I'm not scared of you!

Now, Scarlett began to move around and dance provocatively while she sang in a mocking tone that signified her contempt for the Christian State.

Are you gonna kill me now?
Or are you gonna kill me later?
Honestly, I don't give a shit
In the end, its all the same

The final two lines here were delivered in the sarcastic tone of a typical teenage girl having an argument with an authority figure, with the facial gestures to match.

I'm not afraid of you tonight
Not afraid of your stupid God
I already know that I'm gonna burn
But, baby, I don't care

The fire reappeared, giving Scarlett a chance to walk through it once again as she sang about how she was going to burn.

You wanna tear me down
You wanna see me cry
You wanna take my soul
You wanna make me die but
I'm not backing down
Maybe on the other side, I can kill you instead
I'm not backing down
Maybe on the other side, I can kill you instead!

Now, Scarlett began to dance again as she sang in a defiant tone.

So you think you're the good guy?
Do you?
Actin' so self-righteous
I'm sure
So you think you're the good guy?
Do you?
You're actin' so self-righteous

Now, Scarlett dispensed with the tone and the theatrics, as she symbolically put her questions to the Christian State. She knew that she was approaching the end of her song and began adjusting her tone of voice accordingly.

I'm sure you want to kill me now
You want to make me suffer and
You want to make me beg but
Go ahead and do your worst
Maybe on the other side, I can kill you instead
Go ahead and do your worst
Maybe on the other side, I can kill you instead!

However, she turned the theatrics up to another level here, as she appeared to writhe in pain. Scarlett then immediately shifted to her knees, as if she was begging before getting back up and finishing the song in her mocking tone. After she finished singing, she decided to say some final words to the audience:

Scarlett Nicholls wrote:On a daily basis, women are being crucified upside down and burned at the stake by the Christian State. This is no ordinary terrorist organization. These people are inhuman monsters, who want to murder every man, woman and child who does not share their faith, in the vain hope that their demonic God Iesus will return to establish his hellish Kingdom that will last a thousand years. I urge everybody here today and everybody watching around the multiverse to wake up to the threat posed by the so-called "True Church" before it is too late. Otherwise, we will all be left with the choice between submission to that crazed Church or death. We can no longer afford to ignore or downplay the threat of Radical Christianity, for they will not relent until all life either believes as they do or perishes...

Scarlett picked up her dress and walked off the stage, hoping that she had remembered to say everything that she wanted to say.

These are Times of Change (Tune), Performed and written by Zachary Turnbull

Zachary Turnball walked onto the stage, dressed in a robe that looked similar to that of a priest of the True Church of Iesus Christus. He spoke to the crowd:

Zachary Turnbull wrote:My song today is a warning about the great evil that is approaching, an evil that far too many of us are not taking seriously.

He began to sing:

Come gather 'round all
Wherever you are
And admit that the dark clouds
Surrounding us are fast approaching
And accept that soon
We'll all succumb
If your freedom to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start fightin'
Or you'll find yourself in chains
For these are times of change.

Come journalists and pundits
Who advocate with your pens
And keep your eyes open
The chance won't come again
And don't wait too long to speak
For the Christian State is on the march
And there's no tellin' who
That it's killin'
For the reactionary now
Is the wave of the futre
For these are times of change.

Come politicians and policymakers
Please heed this warning
Don't sit on your laurels
Don't try to appease
For he who does not fight
Will be the first to fall
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'
It'll soon bring down your government
And turn the clock back a millennium
For these are times of change.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
The war effort
Your sons and your daughters
Must fight or be enslaved
The days of peace are
Behind us
Please get with the times
And lend us a hand
For these are times of change.

The battlelines are drawn
The die is cast
The fanatics among us
Will soon be in power
Just as the present
Will soon be the past
Modernity is
Rapidly fadin'
And the rights we take for granted
Will soon be lost
For these are times of change.

And understood what I truly dreamed for
To be chosen to compete here
And to lose this competition!

Nobody gives a damn if I win,
Or if I lose: all I care about is that
I am fucked over by the fees.

TRT 2 - WORLDVISION #37 COMMENTARY
Image
Commnetary shall be provided for you this evening by our lovely trio of Florence Arc, Nick Butler, and Michael Burns.

Florence: Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Worldvsion #37, being held here live from Ë-Mieszkóm, Regica! I'm Florence Arc, and with me tonight are Nick Butler and Michael Burns!
Nick: Hey everyone, I'm Nick Butler. We'll be guiding you tonight through the many acts that make up this year's contest. So, let's begin.

Florence: Looks like we didn't get name-dropped this year.
Michael: Shame.
Nick: Good start to the show though. Those little postcard things are freaking me out though.

01 - Kasanova-Koratica
Florence: Apparently, a euphorbia is a type of plant. The more you know.
Nick: I'm really liking the dance tune to this. And she's got a good message too.
Michael: I still don't get why she's singing about a bunch of plants.
Florence: Hush Michael, you're one of the people she sings about.

02 - The Sword Bloke
Florence: Credit where credit is due: I liked the technical aspects of the song, and at least it didn't encourage bloodshed like the last song they sent.
Nick: That being said, it's interesting to see them perform acapella onstage.
Michael: I think there was a guitar somewhere...

03 - Brittanny
Michael: Are we a capitalist nation? I don't think we're one.
Nick: Capitalism, socialism, communism, it really doesn't matter.
Florence: Oh hey Michael, you're ex-wife's next!

04 - INSERT USERNAMES HERE
Nick: I don't think this woman has a grasp of properly pronouncing things.
Florence: Maybe that's why you divorced her Michael.
Nick: It still is a pretty good song though.
Michael: Next song please...

05- Talvezout
Nick: A bit more groovier then our last entry I see.
Florence: I think it's better.
Michael: I think it's too long. Next.

06 - Al-Balansiyya
Florence: Apparently, this country is supposed to be the successor state of Kishrael. It's a shame that they're gone.
Micahel: It's a simple dance tune, and I'll admit that I like it.
Nick: Ditto over here.
Florence: And it's got diversity too! That's nice.

07 - Ekoz
Florence: So far, so good.
Nick: Very whimsical. I like it.
Michael: I didn't like the whistling part, but's its pretty good.
Florence: There's so many petals everywhere...

08 - Chameliya
Michael: Kadam, huh? Interesting name.
Florence: Wow. This is really good.
Nick: My favorite of the night so far.
Michael: Catchy music and a nice performance. So far, so good.

09 - Bloodbath Generation

10 - Izmedu
Nick: Nice.
Florence: It's beautiful and I like it.
Michael: This should get some points from us.

11 - Dennis Bergkamp
Michael: "Spurs Suck." Huh.
Florence: Is this supposed to be about the football team or something else?
Nick: It's all of them methinks.

12 - Elejamie
Florence: R&B. Me likes.
Nick: It has a nice meaning and it's pretty good.

13 - Vampirium

14 - Normandy & Picardy
Michael: It's okay.
Florence: I think it's pretty good.
Nick: I hate to say this, but I gotta agree with Michael here.
Florence: I still think it's a good effort at least.

15 - Free Republics
Nick: Statement, huh.
Florence: It was certainly vivid.
Michael: Iesus? What is Iesus?

16 - Taxachusetts

17 - Yttribia

18 - Luziyca
Florence: Bombastic.
Nick: It's neat I guess.

19 - Gregoryisgodistan
All: Oh my god, what was that...
Screen appears citing technical issues

"Kill The King" by Singer 0PALZLAMZLAPA

Tune: ”Let It Go” by Idini Menzel

Singer 0PALZLAMZLAPA steps onto the stage. She is carrying a big bag of props. Then she begins to sing her song.

King Petrus is wicked, he must be killed
In his Kingdom to the North
A kingdom of wicked heathens
And a horrid King and Queen

King Petrus must be killed, it’s time for him to die
Whether it’s beheading, blowing up, or fried

We must kill him, oh can’t you see?
He’s a bad man, he’ll always be
Kill him, kill him, and we’ll all sing
So let it ring

100 slaves dressed as Sanctii nuns, 200 slaves dressed as Sanctii men, one slave dressed as King Petrus of Saintland, and one slave dressed as Queen Veronica of Saintland come running onto the stage. Singer 0PALZLAMZLAPA removes a flamethrower from her bag and sets them on fire with it. She then takes a flameproof suit out of her bag, puts it on, and throws gasoline and bombs on the fire while continuing to sing.

Kill the King, kill the King
His lies will not bother us anymore
Kill the King, Kill the King
And his Queen Veronica the whore!

150 Sanctii flags drop from the ceiling into the fire, as do 200 slaves in Sanctii clothing. Singer 0PALZLAMZLAPA pours more gasoline on the fire, which has now engulfed the entire stage, except for her because she is wearing a flameproof suit. Then, 500 slaves dressed in flags of the Holy Republican Empire run onto the stage and are consumed by the fire. A slave dressed as Consul Reino Kulseth of the Holy Republican Empire hangs from the ceiling suspended on wires. Singer 0PALZLAMZLAPA points to him, then continues to sing.

I don’t care
What he’s going to say
He can die as well
His life never bothered me anyway.

Singer 0PALZLAMZLAPA shoots the wires suspending “Kulseth” from the ceiling, and he falls into the flames to his death. Several hundred Republican flags drop from the ceiling, as do several hundred Iesusisgodistani flags. Singer 0PALZLAMZLAPA then continues singing.

It’s funny how King Petrus
Won’t be alive at all
We will execute him
Let’s answer Lord Greg’s call

It’s time to do what we must do
We’ll kill Petrus and his wife too
We’re right, he’s wrong and we know Greg is Lord

Kill the King, Kill The King
That wicked man up to the North
Kill the King, Kill The King
Stop the lies that he brings forth

Greg is Lord
And Greg is God
Not that Eye-ee-zus guy

500 statues of Jesus fall from the ceiling, as do 500 statues of King Petrus, 500 statues of Queen Veronica, and 500 statues of Consul Kulseth. They are all engulfed by the flames. Singer 0PALZLAMZLAPA continues singing.

The fire’s burning, it will soon engulf the King
He will be dead, so lift your voice with joy and let us sing
The world will tremble and will recognize one thing
Gregory is God, in future and in past

Kill the King, Kill The King
He will fall like a chandelier
Kill the King, Kill the King
Lord Greg is without peer

We’ll rejoice
When he’s blown away
Petrus must be killed
King Petrus is going to really pay

Singer 0PALZLAMZLAPA pours more gasoline on the fire as 1000 wooden statues of King Petrus drop from the ceiling, really making the fire rage. It is now up to the ceiling. Finally, the sprinkler system activates and douses it, revealing thousands of burnt, dead bodies, and ashes of all the statues, flags, and everything else. Singer 0PALZLAMZLAPA then calmly walks off the stage.

"Walrus From St. Paulus" by Pudding DeFarrah

Tune: “Asshole From El Paso”

Singer/activist Pudding DeFarrah walks up to the microphone and begins to speak. “Yes, I know I usually like to criticize Gregoryisgodistan, and I know that their performances regularly have the audience fleeing faster than Reino Kulseth at a gay bar,” he says, then pauses as the audience laughs. “But Gregoryisgodistan is not the only totalitarian nation in the world, and at least when it comes to gender discrimination, they’re not bad at all. This song is about one nation that is - The Kingdom of Saintland.”

The background music comes on and Pudding begins to sing.

We all beat our women in St. Paulus
We all make them cover up their heads
And if you dare criticize The True Church
Pretty soon you’re gonna end up dead

And I’m proud to be a walrus from St. Paulus
A place where women are all second class
There are pillories in every town square
T-t-t-t-Town Square
And wife beating is given a free pass

We all go to Church on every Sunday
And learn to hate the Muslims, gays, and Jews
We know this is what The Bible teaches
And talking horses all belong in zoos

And I’m proud to be a walrus from St. Paulus
A place where women are all second class
There are pillories in every town square
T-t-t-t-Town Square
And wife beating is given a free pass

And I’m proud to be a walrus from St. Paulus
A place where women are all second class
There are pillories in every town square
T-t-t-t-Town Square
And wife beating is given a free pass

And I’m proud to be a walrus from St. Paulus
A place where women are all second class
There are pillories in every town square
T-t-t-t-Town Square
And wife beating is given a free pass

21. ELECTRUM

Song: Eternal Flame performed by Nocturne
Tune: Pictures of You written by The Cure, performed by Angie Hart.

Image

Nocturne was selected by international selection, where she won seven of the ten international juries. This song is about something very close to her heart...

Nocturne walks out onto the stage with her pianist, Max Cartwright, where they hold hands and bow to the stage. He takes his place on the piano that is centre stage, and she stands in front of it. Nocturne says, "I'd like to dedicate this song to... you know who you are..."

A dark blue light backdrop was blown up on the screen, with twinkling stars adorning the background. She held onto the microphone with two of her hands as she kicks away some left over ash from the Gregoryisgodistani performance.
Whenever I'm alone, I've been thinking 'bout you
That I always hear your voice in my head
Whenever I'm alone, I've been remembering you
That I'm hanging in the throes of my
imagination

She pulls the microphone and sits next to Max, the pianist. She still looks sombre... the screen behind her gets a little bit lighter. A small light appears on the screen, but it is immediately snuffed out.

0:51
Whatever I say
Words can't ever bring you back
Your last words etched on stone, forever
Memory burned into my head like an
eternal flame
How we promised to be together

A lone violinist joins in and assists with the song. The spotlight is still on Nocturne, as she stands back up and looks at the audience.

1:26
If only I tried harder to hold on
It could have played out differently
If only I tried harder to hold on
I wouldn't be in misery
Always remembering you

Suddenly, the lights turn more brighter, and flames appear on the screen, a small puff was released by one of the machines in the front, and small rose petals and other ash related stuff falls from the ceiling.

2:10
There were embers falling down
Eternal flame consuming me
Ashes of our friendship formed
There were embers falling down
Eternal flame consuming me
My heart can't ever be extinguished

Nocturne quietens down for the ending as she holds her hands on her heart.

2:37
Always remembering you
Always remembering you
When I'm alone, I've been thinking 'bout you
That I always hold you close in my heart

22. ELECTRUM DIPLOMATIC OFFICES

Song: All the Young Girls performed by Gertrude, Bertrand and Nancy Pullman (Can be abbreviated to ' The Pullman Sisters')
Tune: Highway to Hell written by ACDC, performed by the Kransky Sisters.

See video

The three Pullman Sisters arrive on stage - Gertrude and Bertrand sit next to each other, and Nancy is slightly far off with her tuba. Gertrude brings along a toilet brush and keyboard, and Bertrand is playing the guitar. They (Gertrude and Betrand) scowl at the audience.

Gertrude stands up: "I'm sick of you all ruining my dreams! I haven't been in the top ten yet! I swear, if this song doesn't make the top ten, then it will be known to everyone that WorldVision is rigged towards the young-folk! Down to young people, except to those who love us and want to cherish us forever! We're single ladies, and we just want a man's touch... Is that too much to ask? This song is all about young girls, who have disrespected our morals, and taken all the old men for themselves! What about marrying people your own age? I remember the good old days where young men would be suitors for young women, but apparently some of the girls are in the sugar daddy business, and that's just ridiculous, because old men only like old women. That's the law, and that's what it should be, those stupid girls. I will taze every single one of you if you don't vote for me, or else that will be it. I'm glad that my twin sister Bertrand is here with me, because she completely agrees with what I say, and we are essentially the same person, but not Nancy, oh no, she has a different father, and she's much younger than us. Silly Nancy, when will you grow up and learn the morals of respecting your older siblings. Eh? "

The song starts at 3:35
All the young girls
All the young girls

Stealin' money
Begging you
Smooching money for all your money and
Givin' nothin'
Leave them be!
Takin' everythin' that you have
You're foolish
Don't give in
Fly trap waiting to happen
Instead
Choose us
Us old ladies are so much better
All the young girls
All the young girls
All the young girls
All the young girls

To really bring home the point that young girls are parasitic, a bunch of handbags fall from the ceiling, smothering those in the audience, while Bertrand's security guard friends (who are all old ladies), armed with some tasers zaps everyone in the audience they can get their hands on -- from old people to young, no-one is spared. Luckily no-one dies as they continue their song.

Us old ladies
Cook for you
Why do guys keep rejecting us?
Love some elders
Where's the respect?
As they say, mature like old aged wine
Is the best
You're all ageist!
Hurry up and rub my feet!
Hey young guy
Look at me
Pay us some attention you dumb youth
All the young girls
All the young girls
All the young girls
All the young -you're off tune!-

Gertrude backhands Nancy for going off tune and says quietly, "You are ruining our song!" The security guards from before are escorted out, but not before one of them tries to get at Nancy. But, a security guard catches up and catches the rogue guard.

All the young girls
All the young girls
This voting is rigged!
You better give us some votes!
Or I'm sending you to hell!
You dumb youth!
