Hello loyal Hippo Party voters, and other Ardokian citizens. The critics said the Hippo Party was just a joke, that voters would eventually get bored of it. But they were wrong! As of this year we have 9 Congressanimals holding office (me included), but next election I think we can get even more. Eventually, every government post in Ardoki will be filled with an animal.
If we get a majority in legislature next election, we will be able to fulfil our promise of one hippopotamus for every citizen. Come on Ardoki, we need your votes.

Policies such as transforming every street in Commonwealth City into a race track, replacing all Ardokian fighter aircraft with airships, regulating the taxi industry to ensure all taxi drivers are blind. We have many, many more popular polices, but those are just a few random one I picked from our party's constitution.

Let me explain the peculiar situation retarding the Hippopotamus Party.

In Ardoki, we have universal suffrage. Eligible voters may legally vote for any candidate, as long as it has resided in their electorate for at least a year. We don't restrict democracy in Ardoki, people may express their democratic choice freely; even if they decide to elect an animal or an inanimate object. The Hippopotamus Party is Ardoki's largest joke political party, and has exclusively non-human (usually animal) candidates. Out of a total of 1000 seats in the Commonwealth Congress, the Hippo Party holds 9 of those seats.

While the animals officially hold the position of Congressanimal (as they were elected), human members of the Hippo Party represent them as proxies in the Congress (due to the inability of non-humans to actually fulfil their responsibilities as a politician). The policies of the Hippo Party are intentionally outrageous. They know they will never be able to implement any of their policies, and they don't intend to; it's all one big joke and satirical take on the Ardokian political system.

Unlike some countries, Ardoki is a true democracy which allows its citizens to vote into office whoever or whatever they please. That's freedom you'll have to try hard to find in a SACTO or IFC country.

And about religion,
How do you force a language on someone, stop parents from teaching their children and make them learn a different one in school.
How do you force a different culture on someone, stop parents from teaching their children and raise them in a different one in public.
So why is it different when the subject is religion?

Conservatives are allowed to hold political office, they are just prohibited from expressing certain conservative views due to the just restrictions of our hate-speech laws.
The Liberal Democratic Coalition, is the second-largest political party in the Ardokian legislature. It is primarily a conservative party and has 136/1000 seats in the Commonwealth Congress.

In Ardoki we respect the right for children to be able to form their own religious beliefs, without external pressure and influence. Young children are not capable of independently critically thinking, and can easily be persuaded to hold certain religious views by authority figures they look up to (parents, religious leaders, etcetera). In order to protect the children's freedom to choose their own religion, we prohibit proselytising to children under the Childhood Religious Freedom Act.

@MarkusRagnarsson Don't worry, the simple fact you somehow managed to kill nearly 500 people without getting it earns you special privileges. Namely, not needing to get mental treatment. The only exception is Moriarty, he needs treatment regardless of whether or not he killed anyone. He should view a Ardokian 'tolerance center' from the view of a patient there.
