This exchange and other recent events just goes to show what we Hatayans have been saying for years. Muhammed Al-Nasheed is a dangerous, extremist demagogue and a threat to global peace and stability. His own people are now coming around to the fact that he is driving their country into the sand, and is provoking even their former SACTO allies. We urge the Bashriyyan government to remove the Field Marshal from his current post as Minister of Defense, and return to civilian government not dominated by this dangerous man. Not only is an admirer of Hitler and the most crooked elements of the NSDAP, but he openly espouses these views and seeks to impose them on others. Hatay will not allow Nasheed to start a continental war. We are hoping to work with SACTO nations to remove Nasheed from his post, and return sane government to the country.

This is the Hatayan position on the Israeli-Palestinean Crisis

Hatay is one of the Arab nations that recognizes Israel and it's right to exist. We agree with the UN Resolution of 1947 and hope to restore the validity of that international statement. Gaza and the West Bank should be the State of Palestine, and the rest being the State of Israel. Jerusalem should be used by both states as a capital and a point of diplomacy and negotiation. We agree that Hamas should be dealt with as an evil terrorist group and we have worked with Israel in the past to eliminate their rocket capabilities. However, we do not support the settlement program of Israel. It is extremely unjust. To drive civilian Palestinians from their homes to support resorts and other luxury housing for Israelis is extremely unjust. We believe that until such settlements are closed, their cannot be the Two-State solution that is needed to finally end the conflict. We also believe that Israeli responses to Hamas attacks of have been most harmful not for Hamas, but for the innocent people of Gaza. We do believe that Israel has the right to maintain the Iron Dome system for self defense. But the bombing runs against Gaza have left the city in ruins and thousands upon thousands homeless. Israel must work harder to not target civilians that is obvious. As for the Israeli home, we believe that Israel, one of the middle east's only democracies, is moving into a situation where they will have to choose between being a Jewish state or a democratic state, with institutionalized discrimination against Israeli Arabs. Israel can remain to be a Jewish state, but should preserve pluralist democratic freedoms. Hatay and Israel have cordial relations, but we do want to see a return to the 1947 resolution as soon as possible. Our position boils down to this:
1. Democracy and no extremism (Jewish or Muslim) in the area, an eradication of terrorists
2. Two independent states and a removal of settlements
3. Two pluralist and free states.

Rocket from Bashriyya Downs Bashriyyan Airliner, Over 50 Dead
Late night yesterday, a Bashriyyan plane leaving for Tel Aviv was shot down via shoulder-fired missiles and the airliner was hit and crashed. The plane was mostly filled with Israeli dignitaries. All on board the flight have been killed. It is an immense tragedy, in the early morning hours of today, the Foreign Ministry stated, "We send our sincere condolences to the victims and we pledge to find justice for this vicious and evil murder." The Foreign Ministry also stated that it will work with charities to raise money for the victim's family. The Foreign Ministry also had some harsher words. "We have told Bashriyya time and time again it must control terrorists within it's borders, we will urge them again. And if it is not terrorists outside the control of the state, then Bashriyya must find out who it is and bring them to justice. Bashriyya's recent actions and inactions have only served to stir up instability and already its once-allies have had enough."
