@Edmund Somereyll: I wouldn't necessarily call the Wellesley-System the best, but it has both its advantages and is working better then the system in the US, even if there is the odd surprise mixed in there.
As it is, the article is coming along nicely. I got my hands on a very few interesting sources from Nifon itself, so I am almost ready to write the thing. Source Criticism is still in the works, though, so the 'almost' might drag out a bit. That, and testing period is coming up.

@@LabourTimes: I would like to point out, that the theory of a representative democracy is a workable theory and that there are indeed working applications of that principle.
However, the execution of that principle in the United of States of America lacks in many aspects, beginning with the definitive proof of the Iron Law of Oligarchy, in which a selected elite of people (in our American Example that would be the economic and financial elite) inevitably came to rule, to the fact, that the electoral system itself has major faults - after all, how can someone have the majority of votes and still loose because of some wonky electors (as in the current example) or overhang seats?
And yes, Overhang Seats are a German phenomenon, but that does not make them better in any way, shape or form.22.01.2017| REPLY |

The electoral college system in the USA prevents a select few areas with high population from consistently dominating the rest of the country. If you don't understand why the electoral college works take a look at this map.
Now *some* in Inyursta think we should switch to an electoral college system or something similar, arguing that the simple majority system in Inyursta favors the center of the country (mostly the cities and provinces in Marindino and Topoguya) while lesser populated but potentially* more left-leaning areas in the San Meresque Strip or the Southern Territories have been dominated in almost every single national election by the Duvalierist and Neoliberalismo elements in the center/north.
Of course, given the nature of Inyurstan politics that will never happen...

I've noticed an increasingly large community of Muslims in the world who want to acknowledge the Qur'an, but ignore the Hadith, presumably because so much of the embarrassing crap you can use to humiliate a Good Muslim is found in the ahadith. The very real problem with this, if you are a Muslim, as I was, is that a vast majority of the practices of Islam are found, not in the Qur'an, but in the huge list of passages that is the ahadith. Praying five times a day is found therein, for example, as well as a commandment to drink camel piss because it supposedly has curative properties.
I honestly have no words.
The problem which these Qur'an only Muslims, called Qur'anists, run into quite swiftly is simple. In the Qur'an, we are told that Mohammed is the "pattern of conduct" for all mankind, which means it is necessary to know what he said and how he behaved in his life, and where do we find most of that? You guessed it.
If you want to reject some of the most repulsive, barbaric practices of Islam, you have to wholly reject the ahadith, and if you do that? There goes most of Islam.

I agree with you to a point. While I have my own beliefs, I don't opress others for theirs. I simply state why I believe them and why. There's a saying in the Christian Church that I believe in. "Hate the sin, love the sinner." Its a bit hard to do at times, I'll admit that. Like with this whole uprising of LGBST rights. Personally, I don't believe that gays are evil, I just believe Homosexuality is. See my point? @GDuchessChar I seek to oppress nobody. If anything, I seek to point out the oppression of so many groups in society by Islam which the larger part of Western society sees fit to ignore. I do not hate individuals who practice Islam, with the possible exception of my father, who sought to murder me for leaving the faith. I simply hate their vile religion.
The problem with befriending a true Muslim is that the Qur'an openly declares that in leaving the Islamic faith I have committed the sin of riddah, or apostasy, and thus am fit only to die.
