The Gaosa Gazette
The New Inama
7 July 2137
Gaosa, the Celestial Empire
While former Queen Adriana and the rest of the Godey family welcomed the Duke of Alencon to warm sunny beaches in the Hemaka Islands, the running of the government continues on without him. The Celestial Emperor with his mother at his side announced the new configuration of the Inama of the Celestial Empire.
The Inama is the executive cabinet and advisory council to the Celestial Empire and flanks the crown at the center of government. Under Andeja II and Andeja III the Inama had grown to large numbers, but had shown itself vulnerable to in fighting during the Celestial-Riessan War. This, at the direction of the Mother Empress, the Inama has been reshaped and reformed.
The new Inama is to be the chief administrative body of the Empire, responsible for drafting policy, for reviewing policy and advising the Celestial Emperor, and for implementing policy. they shall oversee the administration bodies of the government. The Inama itself shall consist of eight members, one being the prime minister, as voice of the people, elected every four years, and the rest being appointed by the Crown.
The Celestial Emperor heads the Inama, with a seat reserved for the Empress consort.
The current Inama now consists of Prime Minister Alexandra Hollande, Reschnov Hollande IV, Andeja Hollande (the emperor’s father-in-law), Gregory Feza-Degas all being staunch Ultras, as well as Sir Christian Charpentier and J.J. Aurelains (the emperor’s maternal grandfather) representing the moderate Doctrinaires, both close allies of the Mother Empress, and lastly Stephan Ardales Lord Jean Yoyo, a Liberal and an Ultra respectively.
While having no official seat at the table, the Mother Empress has made herself ever present, certainly and faithfully behind her son’s throne. Also joining the Inama at the appointment of the Celestial Emperor is his brother-in-law, the Duke of Angoulême, acting as proxy for the absent Empress Safiya.
Empress Safiya, acting as Governor of the Principality of Gante has seemed to abandon the capital with no intention of returning. Not a prospect the Celestial Emperor seems to lament as he trades the reclusive and plain sister for the colorful brother, who seems to breathe life back into the Celestial Court.
With the new Inama observers suspect to see greater efficiency in the government, but fear that with an overwhelming Hollande control, to see them push through more restrictive traditionalist reforms and pursue a more aggressive foreign policy.
