Federal Republic of Andine Restored!

Chancellor James Walsh announced on the steps of the Archeon Tower, the new tallest building in the world, that the monarchy of Andine has been abolished after six years under Kings François and Alfred. King Alfred of Andine has respectfully abdicated the throne and has married his long time companion, Theodosia Bryce. The nation has now been reformed as a unitary federal republic with a Chancellor acting as head of the government and the office of Regenate of the Realm as head of state. Serving as the first Regenate of Andine is former King Alfred. Chancellor Walsh has promised free elections next years to determine the future of the Republic. He is expected to hold Congress this summer in Archeon.

Dominion of Andoraan

The Celestial Imperial Fleet, three Génoise built ships, the Triumph, the Ingnéuir and the Espoirceleste carrying various notables including 15 architects, engineers, artists, nobles and a monarch including Caos and the King-Emperor. The King-Emperor and his companions left Earth two days ago and secretly boarded a Génoise ship which took him to the waiting fleet in space. The Fleet is leveling for Andoraan, the Crown Dominion and the jewel of the Celestial Empire. He is expected to reach the dominion in 5 months. His stay in Andoraan is not known for length yet.

In the meantime, the King-Emperor has placed a temporary Regency Council in charge of Derita and the empire with the Crown Prince, André, acting as the Prince Régent of Derita. The thirty-eight year old prince is to hold the same power of an emperor with the Regency Council, made up of the Prime Minister, Magnus Variés, The Duc d'Angoulême, the Duc d'Guyenne, the Duc d'Troyus, the Marquis d'Corne, Lord Dujardins, Lord Roys, the Duc d'Maine and the Comte d'Souern.

Shah Faolan of Kaunu died today of cancer of the lungs. The Shah of Kaunu, recently turning 80 years old was hospitalized two days ago as his lungs began fail and at 3:44 pm, he died with his son and heir, the 61 year old Faolan II at his side. Shah Faolan II is expected to formally take the throne in a few months after the period of mourning has passed.

The Régency War?

André, Prince Régent of Derita, took a bold step to preserve the Volonté Dynasty Hegemony when he ordered his friend and cousin, the Supreme Commander of the Grand Armies to invade Beliany.

Louis Antoine II, Duke of Angoulême has lead an Amperiale Brigade of 3,500 soliders into southern Beliany, seizing control of the city of Montforte. The city of Montforte, located just across the border between Beliany and Derita happily welcomed the Duke of Angoulême and the Amperiale Armed Forces as they seek to end the Dutch Tyrannical Regime under the Dutch claimant to the throne, King Henry III and his controlling mother, Empress of the Dutch-Empire.

The Prince Régent of Derita has defended his actions, having Magnus Variés, the Prime Minister of Derita since 2067 speaking at a press conference in Vanessa about the Duke of Angoulême's invasion of Beliany.

Variés: "Since the departure of His Imperial Majesty, the King-Emperor, his son the crown prince has served the nation to the best of his abilities as Prince Régent. Unfortunately this regency period comes during a time were the empire's enemies, disguised as our allies seek to move against us. Consul Wayland has join us in search of ending this tyrant's grasp of power in our innocent neighbor of Beliany. Prince Régent André warned the Dutch that their take of Beliany and their actions against our mutual neighbor would not be tolerated, but they have refused to listen and so peacekeepers must be sent in to protect the Belians from their ambitious appetites. The Duke of Angoulême is the empire and the continent's best general and military general. As Grand Marshal of Derita, he is more than skilled to peacefully resolve the situation.

To further the illegitimacy of Henry III of Beliany's tyrannical regime, the Duke of Angoulême has also been granted the throne of Beliany by southern conservative politicians as King Louis I of Beliany.

The Baron de Moressley, one of the few barons apart of the Conservative Party in Beliany has ordered that the northern half of the country submit to the reign of King Louis I. Meanwhile, thousands in the northern port city of Adelaide have paraded in celebration of the ascendancy of King Henry III onto the throne. Despite the support for liberalism of Henry III, no other city in the north has declared him king. In Bleugate, the provisional government has said nothing.

[blocktext]The Duke of Angoulême and his army met the the Dutch Army under command of General Jans Hautje in the Battle of the Uss. The battle is the first clash of Deritain and Dutch forces. The estimated death toll is placed around 200 people. The Battle ended in a stalemate with the Dutch forces retreating north and the Amperiale Armed Forces unable to cross the Uss River. The Prince Régent has congratulated the Duke of Angoulême on his determination in battle and says that the Amperiale Forces shall reach Bleugate, the capital of Beliany in a week to protect the natives from the Dutch invaders.[/bloctext]

King Charles Announces Aggrement to pay Space Tax

His majesty King Charles, after extensive discussion with his advisors and several trusted nobles, has announced that he will be paying the Seran tax on space. He has stated that this is so that the Grand Kingdom can begin its work on building its own empire amongst the stars, where the navy will begin to create colonies on unclaimed worlds, and begin to build the start of a new Viscovia. The navy has been given the go ahead to also begin the development of starships and weaponry for those starships to defend themselves against possible attackers, with King Charles stating that the Grand Kingdom will excercise its right to defend itself while outside of a planets atmosphere regardless of the approval of other nations

Dante Pantellria, after serving as Prime Minister for the last 18 years, 4 months and 2 days, has resigned from his office. The 80 year old statesman sent in his resignation to the Madrid Royal Palace this morning which was approved by King Henrique II. Pantellria and his wife Claudia then left the Casta de Justica for his country estate in Molins de Rei. After serving under three different monarchs, Pantellria declared that he could no longer serve under a good clear conscience. Following the start of this so called Régency War between Derita and the Dutch-Empire and The King's declaration of support for his wife Anna Charlotte, he has decided that he must leave government.

The National Congress has appointed Galvan Armendáriz, a 47 year old former Governor and Attorney General of Malaga, Espana, as the new Prime Minister to serve out the rest of Pantellria's term till 2075. Prime Minister Armendáriz is set to meet with King Henrique II in two days to officially form a new Administration.

The Treaty of Guugor is to be renewed every 25 years.

Changdar, a city with a population of 14,400,255 people, around 45% of the total population of the country, is to serve as the nation's capital and the seat of government. The government decided on has been a semi-absolute monarchy with Belgeltei Megetu serving as Khan of Busai with a Council of five generals, General Muunokhoi Megetu, General Khaji Kulug Sokhor, General Bayarmaa Arkhai Khasar, General Galdan Kotyan, General Argasar Yesun and General Semsochi Guyug. Khan Belgeltei has declared Buddhism to be the national religion and declared today a national holiday.

Tragedy of the VHMS Valiant III

Today the VHMS Desmond XVII recovered a sleeper pod containing a survivor of the VHMS Valiant III, the ship that went missing while investigating the Proxcyon System. For weeks no word was heard from or of the ship, seemingly disappearing without a trace. However now the survivor, Navy Officer Gavin Destod, a Reactor engineer aboard the Valiant III, has been recovered, however this would have left 64 other crew members and 15 Expeditionary soldiers stationed aboard the ship either missing or dead.

However the tale that Gavin gave is one of bonechilling horror, describing a creature brought on board inside the abdomen of one of the crew members, which emerged from its unwilling host in a rather gruesome and painful manner, killing him. According to Gavin the creature killed off the entirety of the crew, forcing him to destroy the Valiant III, for fear of the creature being picked up and being accidentally brought to earth. However the navy has dismissed this tale, as the Provocyon allegedly does not contain an inhabitable planet, thus a creature which uses humans for hosts would be unrealistic at best, and has simply stated that Gavin is suffering from paranoia and cryosleep sickness

Construction of the Impérial des Monarques Parc, a nature park and monument to Empress Charlotte and Emperor Connor II of Connuriste began today with Charlotte and Connor breaking the soil for the first time together. This is the first public event that the imperial couple has been seen togather in over three years. Charlotte also revealed that she is pregnant, once again.

Where as the couple was only months ago seen as spiraling and many suspected that they would divorce, this event and announcement seem clear enough that the rough patch that they had hit is long gone and they are back together emotionally as well as physically. Atlantis Rises

Today the Viscovian Royal Navy has announced the beginning of construction of a floating fortress, which it calls Atlantis. The floating city has the most advanced in defensive and offensive weapon systems, including anti-satellite and anti-Starship weaponry, Hypersonic cruise missiles, docking facilities to house a battle group, and enough armor and defensive measures to survive several barrages from naval railguns. The fortress is being built in a geosynchronis orbit over Viscovia and is likely a direct response to orbital weapon systems and possibly even a direct counter after the usage of orbital weaponry during the regency war . The cost of the fortress is as of yet unannounced but is expected to be in the billions, maybe even trillions, but the navy has stated that the fortress provides a massive strategic outpost in space.

Shock and pain runs through the royal family and the nation as Empress Dowager Elisabeth tearfully announced to the world that her husband, Kaiser Frederich Wilhelm V has in fact died. The Kaiser, the 23 year old eldest son of the late Kaiser Taylor III and grandson of the 84 year old former Kaiser Edward IV, has been confined to his chambers ten days ago after he suffered from a lapse in his sanity and was found running through the Potsdam Palace Gardens in the nude. Doctors have not revealed details of the Kaiser's illness, though they do say that the Kaiser did not seem to be gravely ill and his death was quite sudden. A period of mourning has been set for the next sixth months, ending on 4 February 2076, the new Kaiser's birthday.

As Kaiser Frederich Wilhelm V had no sons, his only child being the two year old Princess Imperial Augusta, the throne goes to his next eldest living male relative, his brother Wilhelm, who has ascended as Kaiser Wilhelm III. The 22 year old monarch and former general is unmarried and already talks have begun about his search for a proper suitor. In the meantime Mother Empress Auguste and Dowager Empress Elisabeth and Princess Imperial Augusta have retreated to Brunswick to mourn in private.

King Charles Ambushed, Saved by Royal Dragoon Guards

Today while on his way to a meeting with several Army high commanders, his majesty came under fire from several assailants, and was struck twice by 5.56mm rounds in the shoulder. However his escort acted quickly, returning fire and killing at least six of the attackers and apprehending two more. The Royal Intelligence Service has stated they are currently investigating the attack and have the prisoners in custody, who are expected to receive a maximum sentence, if not death outright.

King Charles is in the hospital, where he is suffering from a shattered shoulder, as well as significant damage to his upper arm, but is expected to recover, and is in stable condition. Security has been stepped up, with well over a dozen Dragoons in full gear guarding the hospital, and only the doctors and the kings family have been permitted to enter his room.

This attack has the city, and the whole nation shocked, but the RIS has assured that they are hunting down the remaining assasins, and that they will do whatever it takes to bring them to justice.
