King Akira Tu'Aruc Responds to International Community

Press Secretary Nassor R. Tu'Aruc Delivering His Brother's Response

After the controversial delivery of King Akira Tu'Aruc and the Council of Planetary Defense's plan to tax non-allied ships whenever they leave the planet many international bodies have given their own responses to the new policy. Some range from threats of war to compliance, and even an offer of increased diplomacy. Earlier today, King Akira's brother Prince Nassor Tu'Aruc and acting Press Secretary came before many global news agencies to deliver Akira's response, as he could not be present due to scheduling conflicts.

"The Serian government's intentions were made clear at the press conference headed by General Apollion. We will not budge from this policy, nor any of the promises and warnings we placed within it. If any ships that are not allied with Sera, have not paid a tax, or otherwise refrained from making a deal, attempt to leave Earth without going through the proper channels will be destroyed or immediately confiscated.

We will not budge from this stance, no matter how many threats are made, even if made by the sitting Balkan King or Oceania President. Heed this warning, Madam President and King Larx, should you launch any ships without proper authorization, they will be fired upon or confiscated with extreme prejudice. Should you declare war on Sera and it's people, you will come to find that rule under the Serian banner isn't so bad. As for the rest of the world, we vehemently thank you for your compliance with this policy, and will not make any moves to impose upon military building as long as they do not pose a threat or encroach upon Serian territory. Nor will we impose upon your right to exploration. Furthermore, we welcome the Queen of Serbia to Sera's doors and will be more than happy to meet with her to hopefully have discussions that will not only benefit Sera, but Serbia as well.

Former King Skolas Tu'Aruc was very vocal since the introduction of this new policy, and has thus far remained firm in his stance against it. He, along with his youngest son Nassor, believe that space should be open to all mankind, and shouldn't be hidden behind a paywall. Yet, the two also agree that Akira's judgement should be followed, and that civil order to remain intact.

Frederich Wilhelm V, the 20 year old Kaiser of Rhine-East Berlin, the Emperor of Prussia has married Archduchess Elisabeth of Galicia, younger sister of Queen Sara of Chypree. The archduchess, five years older than the Kaiser, was chosen specifically by the young man and his mother, Dowager Empress Auguste. The wedding was held in a beautiful public state wedding with Archduke Leopold giving away his daughter to the Kaiser and the Dowager Empress and Chancellor Bossën by his side. Pastor Fränz Helbertburger married the two with Elisabeth's sister Victoria as maid of honor and Crown Prince Wilhelm as the Kaiser's bestman.

Adelaide d'Chartes dies in Vanessa

Adelaide, Duchesse d'Chartes died while attended by her elder and only surviving sister, Catherine d'Montrose, her friend former Queen Mary of Scots, and niece-in-law, Duchess Josefina of Milan and her husband, Joseph the Duc d'Chartes.

At 6:36 am, the former Queen of Scots was walking down the steps of the Chartes Manison in Vanessa when she suddenly collapsed, complaining of headache and sweating profusely. Her husband, Duke Joseph took her to bed in her room and had their family doctor brought in to examine her. The Duchess' health appeared to improve around 7 am and was reportedly well from 7 am till 1 pm.

At 1:14 Adelaide and Joseph visited the Golden Jubilee Park and spent several hours there where her headaches returned. Adelaide collapsed once again around 5 pm and was taken back home. The physicians were all for once again, but Adelaide quite suddenly fell dangerously ill and couldn't even stand up. At 6:12 pm her private doctor arrived and at 6:24 pm called for an ambulance. Catherine d'Montrose was called about her sister's distress and rushed to the house, followed by Duchess Josefina. They were then joined by former Queen Mary.,

Shockingly, Empress Charlotte of Connuriste, having lived in Vanessa for almost two years now, was informed and rushed over to the house to see her former friend. Charlotte and Adelaide had once been very close friends when they lived in Geneva and Lausanne, but their relationship was strained when Adelaide's sister as banished from Switzerland. Charlotte rushed to the Chartes Manison and was refused to enter by Catherine d'Montrose and Duchess Josefina and was locked outside of the Manison while Adelaide died and is said to have sobbed over not seeing her friend.

At 6:34 pm Adelaide, Duchesse d'Chartes died in bed before paramedics could get her into the ambulance of, at this time, unknown causes. Her last words were to Catherine, Mary and Josefina, saying "Be at peace my dears, be at peace, peace, for my daughters."

Prime Minister Anthony Reyes is to make an official statement on the death of the former queen. A funeral date is unknown.

The Viscovia Ministry of Game and Fish has said with great pride, that the Belok Sturgeon, a species that has long been endangered, has recovered finally to where they are confident it can be removed from the endangered species list, the first Sturgeon species to no longer be considered endangered, and one of seven which make their home within the kingdoms rivers and shoreline. The ministry has stated that fishing of sturgeon and collection of sturgeon caviar will remain prohibited until the population has been confirmed to be stable at its current level, and has stated that any foreigners caught attempting to circumvent this stance will receive full punishment, up to and including a $15,000 dollar fine or fifteen years in prison, and that this applies to all species of sturgeon within Viscovia. The sturgeon is so revered for its meat and caviar, which, especially naming the upper class are highly sought after, and the fish can reach lengths up to and in excess of twenty feet. Whatever the case, the ministry stated this is a ray of hope for all endangered species, and that the world should follow the Grand Kingdom in its efforts to help those species on the edge of extinction, so that our descendants can see and experience these unique creatures

Kaiser's anger points to Scotland

The recently married Kaiser Frederich Wilhelm V has exploded with anger following the death of Duchess Adelaide of Chartes and the insult against his sister, Empress Charlotte of Connuriste when she was refused to see the dying duchess.

The young Kaiser is said to have stormed out of his chambers when he was told of the insult, yelling "Those blasted b*tches! How dare they treat my sister like that? I'll see them pay for this!" Chancellor Bossën attempted to claim the Kaiser, but it was only his mother, the Dowager Empress who could calm him down.

The Kaiser and the Dowager Empress have demanded that Catherine d'Montrose and Duchess Josefina apologize immediately.

Müller - "I told you so"

Ex-Chancellor Erwin Müller yesterday emerged from the shadows of his own private civilian life to say that "maybe he wasn't so wrong to judge Catherine D'Montrose after all" after details of her mistreatment of the Empress of Connuriste in relation to the death of her friend, Adelaide of Chartes, a close friend of the monarchy of Connuriste.

Müller explained that whilst he felt media treatment of him was unfair whilst he held political office, he felt an urge to express some sort of defence in this sad time for Europe.

Most of the country has not regarded his statement with any particular importance, however.

Duke Charles of Milan has entered the fray, naturally on the side of his mother Catherine and his wife Josefina. Duke Charles' ducal office has released a statement on the issue, though many suspect that the rumored dim witted duke had nothing to do with the writing of the statement itself.

An Heir at Last

King Stephan II and his wife, Queen Michelle have finally given us what we have been waiting for, an heir to the throne. Prince Antoinus Augustyn was born this evening after the Queen went through fifteen hours of labor. Charlotte of Geneva, Chairwoman of Amperiale Alliance, leader of the Committee of the Drafting of the UHRA and the author of the virtual constitution of the Amperiale Alliance, along with her fellow committee members of the committee of the Drafting of the UHRA presented the finished document to both Consul Josiah Wayland, IU President Eldert Arink and the world.

The document, written personally by Empress Charlotte of Connuriste, as well as Eduardo Vangressa, Alexandre Hamolten and Ivan Innkevstigney, is the detailed law out of a declaration of the rights of all of mankind.

The servants of the common people in the common interest of mankind seek to declare that the rights of humans must be held up high by law:

Seeing that for stability and peace, for prosperity and the well being of men, women and children everywhere that there are friendly relations between the empires, kingdoms, principalities, duchies, commonwealths, republics and unions of the world.

Where the servants of the common people of this world and other civilizations reaffirm their consciences beliefs and faith in the need and deserving attention that is to be paid to the issue of the rights of mankand set forth on this course to represent, guide and protect the dignity of each and ever individual independently regardless of background or person and United and with good faith and hope strive to promote progress and englighten the world of the human race.

Demanding that the states of nations solemnly swear and pledge to aspire to, work in togetherness for and compromise and co-operate with one another for social and global peace.

Taking to heart and mind the gravity of the fundamental rights and freedoms of the common people and the rights that their servants dedicate to them and shall protect for them. Knowing, understanding that the common goal for the sake of harmony of this accord, declaration and pledge is for the guarantee of the rights and privileges given equality and blindly to each and every person.

Therefore, the servants of the common people, their states of nations, of this world and other civilizations declare THE UNIVERSAL HUMAN RIGHTS ACCORDS to be a common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations, to the end that every individual and every organ of society, keeping this Declaration constantly in mind, shall strive by teaching and education to promote respect for these rights and freedoms and by progressive measures, national and international, to secure their universal and effective recognition and observance, both among the peoples of this world and all other civilizations.

Article 1.

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

Article 2.

Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.

(2) No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality nor denied the right to change his nationality.

Article 16.

(1) Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution.
(2) Marriage shall be entered into only with the free and full consent of the intending spouses.
(3) The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.

Article 17.

(1) Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others.

Article 18.

Article 20.

(1) Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association.
(2) No one may be compelled to belong to an association.

Article 21.

(1) Everyone has the right to take part in the government of his country, directly or through freely chosen representatives.
(2) Everyone has the right of equal access to public service in his country.
(3) The will of the people shall be the basis of the authority of government; this will shall be expressed in periodic and genuine elections which shall be by universal and equal suffrage and shall be held by secret vote or by equivalent free voting procedures.

Article 22.

Everyone, as a member of society, has the right to social security and is entitled to realization, through national effort and international co-operation and in accordance with the organization and resources of each State, of the economic, social and cultural rights indispensable for his dignity and the free development of his personality.

Article 23.

(1) Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment.
(2) Everyone, without any discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work.
(3) Everyone who works has the right to just and favourable remuneration ensuring for himself and his family an existence worthy of human dignity, and supplemented, if necessary, by other means of social protection.
(4) Everyone has the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests.

Article 24.

Everyone has the right to rest and leisure, including reasonable limitation of working hours and periodic holidays with pay.

Article 25.

(1) Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.
(2) Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection.

Article 26.

(1) Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit.
(2) Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial or religious groups, and shall further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace.

Article 29.

(1) Everyone has duties to the community in which alone the free and full development of his personality is possible.
(2) In the exercise of his rights and freedoms, everyone shall be subject only to such limitations as are determined by law solely for the purpose of securing due recognition and respect for the rights and freedoms of others and of meeting the just requirements of morality, public order and the general welfare in a democratic society.
(3) These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.

Article 30.

Nothing in this Declaration may be interpreted as implying for any State, group or person any right to engage in any activity or to perform any act aimed at the destruction of any of the rights and freedoms set forth herein.

Charlotte, Empress of Connuriste has begun to strongly promote the UHRA and has brought it up to be adopted by all nations, especially the member states of the Amperiale Alliance and the International Union of Nations. She has described this accords, this, protection of the rights of humankind and the seeking of global harmony as the greatest leap for the human race so far.

Madame Rohan writes new Grand National Anthem

Henerietta Rohan, Duchesse d'Maine has been given the taste of writing a brand new "grand national anthem" that shall celebrate the magnificents of Derita and the Celestial Empire. Madame Rohan has already released the name, that it shall be called Lumières Céleste de l'Empire, or Celestial lights of the Empire. Chairman Aleksander Holstad of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, in the presence of the seventeen year old King Nicholas I, along with his Regency Council, lead by Consulate-General Sigurd Nielsen presented the Nobel Peace Prize to Charlotte, Empress of Connuriste. The Empress received the Peace Prize for

"...her overwhelming efforts to bring about peace between nations of the world and her penning and promoting of the Universal Human Rights Accords for equality and rights and the betterment of the people of the world..."

The prize was originally to be awarded to both Charlotte and Ivan Innkevstigney, but the Russian activist declined to share the prize with the Empress, though it is unclear if it was out of spite or out of respect. The Empress has graciously accepted the Nobel Peace Prize.

Empress Charlotte returns to Geneva

Charlotte, Empress of Connuriste and Princess of Geneva has returned to Geneva while en route to her home in Lausanne. The Empress, having lived in Vanessa for the last 24 months while attending the prestigious University of Vanessa for a law degree. Recently the Empress decided to return home to Lausanne, though she will still graduate from the University of Vanessa in May of this year.

Charlotte was greeted with thunderous applause as 100,000 people flooded the streets and sung "Parade of the Empress", recently written by Emmanuel Auger to honor Charlotte and her many successes on the battlefield and in the conference halls of peace. The Empress then went to the Dreyfus Chateau to stay there until her trip to Lausanne.

Great Fire of Madrid!

Disaster struck in the heart of the capital as much of the capital has been engulfed in flames. After a previous dry year and an extremely dry winter, much of central Espana being plagued with deadly drought, flames quickly caught fire in the center of Madrid. Around 8:45 this morning, a building in Madrid, a local bakery, caught fire and a fire fighter squadron went to deal with the fire. However, with water supplies having been lacking, the fire was not put out entirely and by 10:15, the fire had resurfaced and spread to nearby buildings. Dozens of people were evacuated from the area. At 12:13 the fire was doused fully having destroyed eleven buildings and killed five firefighters.

But the worst was yet to come as at 5:00 pm, a second fire was started in another area of the city and firefighters struggled to reach it in time due to heavy rush hour traffic and by the time they did arrive, the flames had spread to a dozen buildings. The fire turned into a storm of heat and flames, milking almost eighty people.,

Prime Minister Pantellria at 8:45 pm, when informed that the fire had consumed 57 buildings and had yet to cease, with dozens of fires popping up in forests around the capital and even the lawns of suburbs, declared a state of emergency in the capital. Even now at 11:25 pm at night, the flames continue to roar as the nation's fire departments continue to struggle to try and stop the fire before it completely destroys the capital city.

Levin Boris and the isolationist Independence Party took power in 2071 following the end of Republican President Ankova's term in office.
In 2071, the Independence Party had 213 seats, the Republicans 79 seats and Green Party only 8. But times have changed. With the rise of more monarchies, the end of the Freedom Defense Coalition of which the Second Republic had been apart of and the constant threat of Russlandains to the north, the public support of the Boris Administration has quickly fallen. Following the results of the midterm elections this year, the Independence Party is on the ropes, with only 127 seats, the Republican Party has made a come back with 100 seats, the Green Party has won 71 and there has even been a reappearance of the Royalist Party, winning 2 seats.

Dowager Empress Auguste, Queen Mother and Regent of Sverge, visited the home of the elderly Grand Duke Guilluame V of Selesburge. The Dowager Empress's visit has been put officially as a state visit. Despite this formal title, many suspect that she is looking for one of the younger of the Grand Duke's sons to be a potential match for one of her many, many daughters. The Dowager Empress and the Grand Duke are scheduled to have a brunch tomorrow morning before going on a tour of the grand duchy's capital.

Grand Duke of Selesburge dies

Tragedy struck the nation this morning. Grand Duke Guilluame and Dowager Empress Auguste meet today in the Ducial Palace of Selesburge for a state visit and a royal brunch. The two royals were discussing a potential trade agreement between Sverge and Selesburge, focusing about grain imports into Sverge when Grand Duke Guilluame suddenly collapsed from his chair and fell to the floor. The Dowager Empress ran for help and returned to the brunch table with several attendants, including the Grand Duke's daughter, Princess Émilliene. While the attendants went over to the unwell Guilluame. They revealed that there was an internally bleeding bruise on the 80 year old man's back that had gone unnoticed. He had been walking with one of the Dowager Empress' ladies and slipped fell earlier that day. He had risen and had been completely unaware of the injury. As medics rushed to assist, Grand Duke Guilluame V of Selesburge died in his daughter's arms. Antoine, the now former Hereditary Grand Duke was informed of his father's death and brought to the scene. The Grand Duke's body was moved to his chambers and his son has called for a week of mourning while they prepare for the funeral.

Ellie Clayton, an 78 year old MP lead a Labor Party supported protested outside of Prime Minister Anderson's office in the capital city protesting the stagnant economy and the lowering wages of workers that has become a common complaint under the reign of the ever more reclusive Queen Caroline and the noninterventionist and reluctant Prime Minister Anderson for the last 16 years. The Moderate Party in Great Hyruke has held control in the nation for 22 years under just three prime ministers. The protests however have seen massive numbers, near 9000 or possibly more joining in. As minimum wage plummets, there have be calls to remove Anderson from office.

Queen Caroline of Great Hyruke ordered for the resignation of Prime Minister George Anderson. Following the Labor protests this past week, as well as the pressure from the workforce of Great Hyruke and the President of Gran Gregana, the Queen, who hasn't made a public appearance in quite a long time, has given in. George Anderson, age 60, has been serving as prime minister since 2057, and was planning to seek yet another re-election in 2075. He left the house of the prime minister, forced to walk through the crowd of protesters before getting into his car and being driven to the palace to had in his resignation to the Queen. A new election is to held this week to find a new Prime Minister.

King Francisco XII and Queen Domina Celebrated Golden Jubilee

The 74 and 75 year old King and Queen of Kestiona were paraded around the capital city and district of Diemia in Diem as today marked their 50th year on the throne of Kestiona, having ascended upon the death of King Francisco XI, the current king's father. It marked the 16th time in Kestionan history that a a child succeeded their parent, a trend unparalleled in history having lasted for 379 years. With King Francisco XII and Queen Domina was their eldest son, Crown Prince Cervantes and his wife, Princess Gabriella and their children, Prince Cervantes, Prince Aldaran and Princess Selice. On behalf of their late son, Prince Ferdinando was his widow, Princess Andara and their teenage son, Prince Francisco. Over the last 50 years, King Francisco has kept the nation stable and at peace, however there have recently been protests of the secretive actions of the government and the king's unwavering view on censorship being for the good of the people. Yet still, King Francisco maintains an approval rating of 83% and his wife, known for her charming grandmotherly ways at 90%. With the King and Queen being the longest reigning monarchs, having surpassed the previously longest reign of 48 years of Queen Andara the Great in 2071, this is the first ever Golden Jubliee.
