Although Christopher II has been made Emperor-Protector, he does not run the Confederacy which will be leaf by representatives of the Rhine States.

In what appears to be a day of epic proportions, it seems President John Henry Eden of the Independent State AF has just signed a treaty with President Boehm. A transcript of the treaty, signed by Boehm's cabinet and Eden, was just released by a source inside FEDGOV that has had reliability in the past. Officials, lead by apparently not-dead Vice President Jake Catê and Secretary of Defense John McTavish - more on Catê as the story is released, said only this about the treaty:
Today marks a new day in both the Independent State AF and the United States of Conner, but in the world as well. The two foremost world powers, the two greats, have today joined forces for the good of all. The treaty signed is a Mutual Defense and Aggression Pact, with clauses also dealing with sharing of technology, intelligence, and markets, as well as a free trade zone being established. As for the future, well, look no further. As of today, we all know that wherever one of the two is in the world, the other will have his back, and be right at his side. Thank you.
In addition, we got confirmation the rumored 'Worldwide Orbital Regulatory Agency" actually exists and has been formed. While leading figures have not yet been announced, it is expected that the world-renowned Connerian politician Bal-Ke Wan will be named as Chairman of the WORA Council. In the meantime, an anonymous statement has been issued by both the USC and ISAF governments, saying that no space launches are to be conducted until the WORA has released the laws of Orbital Space. Apparently, any unauthorized space launches will be destroyed, and the launch sites siezed.

Apparently, ships from the United States of Conner Navy have just been dispatched from Buenos Aires to meet North Timerian ships outside Brazil. The fleet, composed of multiple Conner class supercarriers, Fallen Angel class railgun destroyers, and Arkham class missile platforms, supposedly met up with another , larger fleet, dispatched from Arete. Top Conner generals were supposedly seen shaking hands with North Timerian admirals. In addition, Conner F-22s, 35s, and 55s were seen escorted B-2 bombers and A-45 ground attack aircraft around the South Atlantic. More on this situation as we have it.

Parliament has expressed its concerns about the North Timerianrian carrier group off Brazil. As a response the HMGS Excalibur has been ordered to observe the carrier group, and give daily reports on its activities. This has been announced by the government and King Alfried has vowed that he will defend Royal Genes if North Timeria or the United States of Conner attacks, as Royal Genes has done nothing to deserve this act of aggression

The Diet of the Confederation attended the National Saxony History Museum opening in the capital city of Frankfurt-Mainz today, adding in a special piece of history, a copy if the UPC alliance agreement in German and in French was placed on display. Chairman Paula Adams announced the signing of the agreement to the nation at the museum opening.

The Muesum itself is for people to remember Rhine States' history, from the Rhine Revolution and first presidents, to the Rhine-Prussian Wars and of course, the burning of Saxony and to the present.

Prince Karl of Bavaria was elected democratically by the population of Rhine States as Prince Primate of the nation. He was the first elected high official of the government in Rhine States in the last 32 years when President Clara Smith was assassinated and the county annexed by Rhine-East Berlin and Derita.

Prince Primate Karl I has signed a treaty between the Empire of Derita and the Prussian Empire, hoping to continue the trend of peace currently in the region. Prince Karl I has promised that democracy and peace shall continue within Rhine States, promising that free elections shall go on. Prince Primate Karl I has also hoped to create a small defensive army as well as advance in science and environment.

Prince Primate Karl I has also planned to send people into place and establish a international space station and has requested alliances between the nations of the Independent State of AF and the United States of Conner. Everyone has high hoped for the Prince Primate and the Diet of the Confederation, the governing body of the Confederacy, and their goals in Karl's five year term.

Today the Aerospace and Science Association has successfully launched a new Surveillence satellite, which is to be followed by an orbital satellite network, which in the future will include an extensive combat network, which will give advanced intel to Genoan forces and allow for quicker and more effective defense of the country.

Work has also begun on a reusable spacecraft, which will be used to maintain our satellites, and possibly even shoot down satellites or help capture them.

Well, this is big. We have just received live footage of what appears to be four Cerberus Conner Sat-to-Sat Attack Sats as well as others firing on a satellite bearing the Genoan flag. After the Genoan disregard of the order issued by the Independent State AF and United States of Conner, apparently, the Orbital Combat Division of the USC Federal Space Agency waited about an hour, until the Genoan sat had reached USC space. Once over California, four Cerberus sats, accompanied by what appear to be recording and attack satellites belonging to Conner companies such as SpaceX and New Frontier, opened fire on the Genoan satellite. The four Cerberus sats used their standard issue modified miniguns instead of their directed energy weapons, most likely due to the risk of explosion if they hit a basic Genoan fuel cell. It appeared on the video that the satellite was completely blown apart.
In addition, President Conner Boehm said that he had been told that the Worldwide Orbital Regulatory Agency's order still stood, and that further violations would result in action against the launch site in question by established space powers. Conner Zeus, Stryker, and Thunder attack satellites were tracked moving around today, and it is speculated a pack of O-18 orbital combat planes were launched from Ross City Spacebase, and were tracked to be docking with a Conner station. The Government has ordered a freeze on all USC assets in Genoan territories, including businesses, trade ships, and embassies. A trade embargo has also been put into place by parliament and any USC ship whether civilian or federal is to be seized, and lethal force has been authorized. Parliament has stated that the USC has no right to shoot down necessary efforts to improve the scientific standing of Genoa. Parliament has stated that any further attacks on genoan spacecraft will be treated as acts of war, and will also not hesitate to shoot down any USC satellites that attempt to interfere with the Genoan space program

The third carrier group, already north of Cuba, has been ordered to stop the Conner ships. Parliament has warned that it's economic sanctions are legal and that Conner ships entering Genoan waters are subject to Genoan law, and we will not hesitate to sink any ship that attempts to break said law.

Parliament has ordered the destruction of Conneriam buisnesses and stores in Genoan territory and their owners deported. Any Conneriam goods discovered are to be destroyed, and have been deemed illegal contraband by Genoan authorities.

Genoan ports have also been closed to Conneriam ships, and in Havana the Zumwalt class HMGS Charles I has been ordered to enforce the embargo with extreme prejudice

Following the completion of construction on the second SSTO (Single-Stage-To-Orbit) launch center in the newly acquired territory in America ISAF's tactical launch ability has been significantly increased. Many wonder why The President would authorize such a project without big plans being underway, but rumors have circulated of a second space-plane, code-named "The Raven" to be launched, it is believed this second craft will be the same model as the current craft "Blue-Hound", that model being the Arkbird model. The NLRAP launched the rocket "Kite I" today in Hessen-Kessel's capital city of Kessel. Many thought the launch should have been postpone until after the Havanna Crisis had blown over, but Chairman of NLRAP James Guntat and Prince Primate Karl I agreed that foreign affairs should not effect Rhinelandains domestic affairs. The Kite I successfully launched and has entered space. It is currently heading towards Mars to drop rover Luft-ASP III, it is expected to arrive in 7 months at the shortest.

Today, high-profile Senators and Representatives clashed over the recent crisis in Havana. After over six hours of debate in the House, and more in the Senate, it looked as though Congress would be heading to the table with Genoa, until Javier Garcia (Lbr-Yucatan) made a thrilling, thirty minute speech on how the USC could either show that it was worthy of respect here, or crumble and fall, the Labor, Conservative, Socialist, and Prosperity parties went into intense deliberation, while the Progressive, Democratic, and Peace parties mainly stayed where they were. After voting commenced, the vote on whether or not to go to the table with Genoa landed at 517-1340-143. Interestingly enough, no apparent voting pattern appeared based on party, as usual. Only the Peace party seemed to have any conformity, with only 4 members voting against. It seems as though the crisis will continue.

News revealing the assassination attempt on Sophia Naberre, Electress of Bavaria has been today met with shock and horror in the Rhine States. The Electress was arriving at the capital city of the Coalition of Africa to speak with Prime Minister Jara on the future of the pacifist alliance of the United Peace Coalition between Rhine States, the Kingdom of Genoa and the Coalition of Africa. Electress Sophia, only 17 years old, has rather recently been seen as the official leader of the United Peace Coalition.

Prince Franz Veruna stated on the event "I absolutely cannot condone the actions of whoever is behind this, the assassin shall be found immediately. Whilst, admittedly, I have never been the strongest supporter of Her Excellency, she is a member of the Diet of the Confederation and an elected official. We shall protect democracy within the Rhine States and will not be bullied by terrorist.

This reaction from the Prince of Hessen-Kessel has prompted speculation amongst citizenry and analysts alike. Will the assassin be found? Why was Electress targeted and is any government official safe? Quite simply, this is a major international incident, in a world which it shall not be tolerated.

Whilst the assassin is being looked for and investigation goes on in Abbis Araba, Electress Sophia has chosen to remain in the capital city of the Coalition of Africa to continue her meeting with the Prime Minister. Senators Ohana, Ferea and Herte have been confirmed to be alive, but Senator Herte is in critical condition.

If one thing is for sure from this event, it's that the assassination attempt has many fearing of the return of the Great Decline, when assassinations and plots riddled the confederacy until its annexation.
