The NTS Spider along with its carrier strike group has been deployed moved from port to intercept a group of Chypree ships. The group will escort the fleet back to their home port and keep them away from Greek waters. If they do not comply they will be dealt with accordingly. President Grey has warned that this will be taken seriously.

To help assist in the water around Greece a group of destroyers have moved from Ascension Island to support if needed. The President has stated that Greek forces are more than capable of handling this minuscule threat but it will be taken seriously. Air and Coastal defense have been put on alert.

Many Greek citizens have been preparing in case a battle breaks out. Grocery stores were empty and few people could be seen around. The Governor is considering enforcing a curfew for all citizens. Also bomb shelter have been checked and emergency evacuation sites checked.

Last night the Navy conducted drone strikes in Corinth. It's not clear what or who the target was but the people aren't happy about it. A Marine convoy en-route to the strike zone was attacked by a group of armed rebels.

This comes in a time of chaos as Greece deals with political turmoil. It is not clear what will happen at this point but we all know that this situation is getting dangerous. There have been no reports of causalities but we haven't heard anything on the drones strikes that hit Corinth.

Director Sir Georg Reinmann of the Orianus League of Space Programs and the Orianus League Command Center has announced the appointment of three new leaders on the Orianus Board Council. Deritain Théo Chabert, Prussian Inga Brauhn and Dutcheman, Martien Aroes. The later being Governal-General of Orianus Space.

Director Reinmann, Board Member Chabert, Board Member Brauhn and Governor-General Aroes also announced the completion of the OLSP Base on the moon of Ganymede. The moon of Ganymede, under Prussian Jursitication as well as various other moons of Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune, had the base completed, allowing for more projects and programs to be opened up.

Director Reinmann stated that the Orianus League will be taking a bigger role in Space.

Ever since the Freedom Defense Coalition had established the first permanent lunar base it can be said that humanity has left the cradle. Now more than ever humanity is expanding its presence throughout the solar system, however despite its best efforts it has so far never managed to make it past the boundaries of our solar system. But now with the introduction of new engine systems, life support systems, and communications technology the time has come for the United Forces Space Command to travel to and colonize the Alpha Centauri system.

For this 5 year mission to the nearest star system, the United Forces Space Command has gathered astronauts from most parts of the world. From the North-American continent, to the Australian outback, to the mountains of Switzerland, astronauts from all over the world were excited to be selected for Operation Grasslands (as it has been named in official documents). Operation Grasslands is the first mission of its kind and has as its primary goal to establish a permanent human presence in the Alpha Centauri system by building a habitable base on one of its many planets. A part of this operation is an international coalition numbering 750 astronauts from six different countries, these are 50 Timerians, 50 Atmorans, 50 Connurists, 50 Connerians, 50 Dutchmen, 50 Greeks, and 450 Iravians. The mission shall be led by the third-generation starship the UFSC Prins ter Paard.

One thing that has become visible is the notable absence of astronauts and cosmonauts from ‘Imperial Europe’. Who were despite popular belief invited to be a part of this mission, but some of which were however too busy with fighting and arguing over Greece.

The UFSC Prins ter Paard. One of the most advanced starships in active service with the United Forces Space Command will be leading Operation Grasslands as a part of a ‘human armada’ which include 4 other ships (UFSC Noorderkwartier, UFSC Gewapende Ruyter, UFSC Westfriesland, UFSC Rosenkrans).
Accelerating with a constant speed of 1g to approximately 80% the speed of light, the starships shall arrive at Alpha Centauri in ~6,5 Earth years after departure and ~4,5 ship years. Together with those ships the UFSC Prins ter Paard shall transport massive amounts of supplies, equipment, and personnel to the Alpha Centauri system. Satellites, mining equipment, agricultural supplies, etc. all will have to be brought along with the mission to venture beyond the solar system.

Operation Vernaye Underway

Celebrations were launched today as the Dutch Alpha Centuari mission went underway. The three ships that were created, one Dutch built one, the Elandia and a Co-Dutch Co-Génoise built one, the Deroses and the slowest, the OLSP built ship the Julesferr. The commander of the three ship 1,762 manned mission, including 1,270 Dutch and 492 foreignors. The planned out mission is scheduled to take only 7 to 8 years to reach Alpha Centuari. Operation Vernaye is planned to be a colonization of the nearby system. The project, reaching nearly 2 trillion NSD in cost.

Much like the Iravian Operation Grasslands, with Operation Vernaye the ships will be moving with a constant speed of 1g to approximately 68 to 72% the speed of light, the revolutionary new starships shall arrive at Alpha Centauri in 2069-70. Together with those ships the HIMS Elandia shall transport a large and massive amounts of supplies, equipment, and personnel to the Alpha Centauri system. The ideal planet is one that had been named as Aroes.

Satellites, mining equipment, agricultural supplies, etc. all will have to be brought along with the mission to venture beyond the solar system. Completed with landing gear and enough enegry from one of DNASA's sponsors AR provided. It is hoped that within the next few years that there will be able to set up a good and stable colony upon one of the planets in Aroes.

Today Prince Frederick, the Duke of Limburg and His Royal Highness Prince Chase Nicolaas, Duke of North Alexandria and Duke of Wied went to court in the South Alexisburg Courthouse in Annasburg, SA over HRH Prince Frederick William, the son of former Queen Marie of the Netherlands and HRH Prince Chase. The SA Court ruled in favour of the Duke of Limburg and gave Frederick's grandfather custody over Prince Frederick. However the court stated that Prince Chase would have visiting rights to Frederick and due to many allegations about Marie's mental instability stated that Marie isn't allowed to visit her son, until proven other wise.

However Prince Chase still has custody over Princess Juliet and Marie still has visiting rights for Juliet and will continue to visit her mother when school is out.

UAF and Dominion Forces have been seen in Greek cities using Long Range Acoustic Devices, a sonic weapon used by the Bondspolitie and the Dominion Polices for riot control. Along with Active Denial System aka Heat Rays that heat the surface of the targets skin, UAF and Dominion Forces have been spotted using tear gas on Greek Protests and beating more violent protests with batons along with using rubber bullets against protesters.

The Department of National Defence has stated that it will be deploying Special Forces into Greece to combat the Greek Terrorists and aid the Timerians with the Greek Crisis currently going on.

Prince Alexander was given the titles of Count d'Artois by his grandfather as the second born son of the future King-Emperor of Derita. He was given the title and duchy of Duke of Oran by his father, who himself is the Duke of Berry. From his mother, the young prince received the title of Duke of Salerno and Prince of Aletis. Even Prince Alexander's older brother and cousin, the five year old Prince Andre, Duc d'Normandy and 7 year old Nicholas I, King of Denmark-Norway gave small sentimental gifts to the little child. As the second son of Andre, Duc d'Berry, the baby Prince Alexander is automatically 4th in line to the throne.

Today Yellowshark has announced there new missile defense cruiser the Harpy class cruiser. It is similar to the Saber; the laser being the focal point and more efficient. The Saber has been in service for nearly 60 years and has defended North Timeria from numerous missile attacks. The iconic Daedalus Mk109 laser will be replaced by the new Zen Mk110 developed by Apex. The Zen is a free-electron laser which projects a almost neon pink light. The first flight are on course to replace Sabers by next year. The new ships will have a new missile set, multiple tracking radars, two 20 cell VLS, and will convert sea water to hydrogen fuel. This will allow the Harpy to operate more efficiently and where the Saber couldn't. This will help defend North Timeria as the threat of nuclear missiles grow everyday.

The Harpy will be able to track and intercept multiple missiles simultaneously. The new CIWS system was also improved to handle fleet defense. The improved Falcon CIWS will now use a 35mm round that will deploy multiple tungsten projectiles. It will also feature 2 twin mounted LAU-65 missile pods. The LAU-65 fired self-guided missiles that kill their target with a small warhead.

Prince Stefan has announced that Atlantis will start taking in citizens next Friday. Construction is done and the artificial atmosphere is capable of sustaining Human life. On Atlantis the crew has been finish up last minute touch ups to get ready for the citizens. The first which will come from Thailand.

During an interview Stefan stated that "This will be the largest settlement outside of Earth. Originally we were going to accept 17,000 but construction and development has gone a lot better and that number has increased to about 20,000. If Atlantis is a success this can be a starting point for future settlement outside of earth."

Later on in the interview we started to discuss what would make this a success.
"Well it's quite simple. Can people live happy,prosperous, and safe lives outside of earth. That is pretty much all we are looking for right now." he responded.

Toward the end of the interview we asked what he wanted to future of Apex to be. "Well I want Apex to be the largest private space company. I want Apex to have multiple colonies and cities like Atlantis. I also want our Slipspace research complete by 2075. We are trying to be the first to create a true faster than light engine... That's my main goal before I die and I'm doing everything I can to make that happen and when I do I'll share it with the world. Our research will be free of copyright and free for everyone to use."

With these advancement the Military has also stepped up its Space Command branch. The NTSF has recently constructed a new space command station and the NTSS Kirin has increased patrols around the asteroid belt after the Diana III incident. The NTSF has stated they plan to build additional ships to increase space capabilities. For years the NTSF has been a defensive force but as things progress the NTSF has become more offensive and a serious space fleet.

These gives them serious power within the government and their Presidential candidate a serious chance at winning the election at the end of the year. Their huge momentum has broken a record by gaining the most seats in one election, just last year the party only held 20 seats. Their candidate Aneya Raso has been running on a platform that promises more involvement in international politics. She wants to increase IU activity and increase support between FDC members. One of the more controversial is her stance on the Dutch. She has promised to end their Space Program and prevent them from having their own for "a while". When asked how she would do this she stated "I would first got the IU and try to work things out... If those fail and things are not put into check I'd consult my advisers." We asked her if she would use military force and she responded that "I wouldn't take anything off the table... War isn't the first option but I won't put our nation at risk."

She is currently ins second place behind Democratic Union nominee William Knight but many believe that she has the most momentum. Social Nation Group nominee Tillary Blinton has been indicted after she accepted money from a private company.

Reports are rushing in from all around Southern Navarre and the Spanish-Navarrese border as riots engulf the area. Navarrese Catholics, fearful of Carolist Protestants attack them in droves in order to get them out of the nation. Catholic Prime Minister Pantellria, seeing the great distress spreading out across Navarre moved quickly and has begun sending troops into Navarre to stop the raging Catholics and Protestants. Estimated 500 soldiers have entered the city of Cascante and Alfaro, turning the area into a practical war zone. Already civil war and war against Navarre seems to have started without warning, without preparation. Fires from mobs in Tudela, Cascante and Alfaro have begun, police and people clash. The death toll is unknown, estimated around 3,000. The world is just a bloody mess today. We have lost contact with the King of Navarre and King of Espana. We are unsure about who is really attacking who and off the authorizes will or will not be able to handle the situation that is spiraling out of control.

Valenia AFB is currently under siege by an unknown force within Espana. The base sent out a distress signal and naval forces in the Mediterranean have responded. Also here in Greece the forces have been responding to the distress call. Right now all we know is that the base was hit by long range missiles. We haven't heard anything about causalities or damage but the Air Force confirmed that the bases defenses are online. They have very limited contact with the base and they are trying to arrange support efforts. The base has been instructed to not launch any strikes against the launch point due to the complexity of the situation and the little amount of intel they have.

There have been no reports of a attack by ground forces but the Air Force will be watching closely. The Navy has also moved into to provide support for the AFB.

Presidential candidate Aneya Raso has already spoke out about the situation is Espana and the Global Action Group has called for a Senate meeting. President Grey will be attending along with his national security staff.

As of this moment the Interstellar Federation of Irav is officially at war with the Royal Republics of Communist Espana. The declaration of war was voted on and passed almost unilaterally nearly eight hours after the Spanish attack on a North Timerian airbase in Valencia, after which the Spanish army had entered the city. This declaration of war was overhanded to the government of Communist Espana by the Iravian ambassador this morning.

Shortly after the declaration of war was issued to the Spanish government, the United Forces Mediterranean Fleet was spotted leaving the Lemnos Naval Base (LNB) in the Aegean Sea. The United Forces Mediterranean Fleet was recently strengthened with an additional twenty-eight warships bringing the number of available ones to 116, however during the inevitable clashes between the two navies the United Forces Mediterranean Fleet is expected to receive assistance from both the Atlantic Fleet and the United Forces Space Command. Furthermore, the United Forces have sought to reactivate War Plan Yellow, which focusses primarily on a Mediterranean and Atlantic war with the Republic of Communist Espana. According to War Plan Yellow the nation of Communist Espana could be defeated within either one or two years by the United Forces, however now that there is going to be more foreign involvement in the Spanish theater of war. In the above said war plan a series of amphibious landings would take place along both the Mediterranean coastline (Under the jurisdiction of the Mediterranean Fleet) and on the Atlantic coastline (Under the jurisdiction of the Atlantic Fleet). Although no plans have been published about a possible Philippines campaign it is more than likely that one would follow in the near future since the United Forces Pacific Fleet has begun its military exercises.
