Allen glared at Elosqir for a few seconds before turning back to Alicia. I guess it's good that I'm a good shot then Allen said with a smile "I used to shoot priests for the emperor when the revolution was beginning to break out," said Allen with a wide grin on his face "but that was with a uh... A thingy rifle, the weapons sold here are probably much more advanced." Allen couldn't remember what a bolt-action rifle was called and so just said thingy.

"You used to shoot priests?" Alicia asked open-mouthed.
"What had priests ever done to you? Anyway...I'm not sure I can find a thingy rifle. Shall I ask the shop staff to find a thingy rifle? I've never seen them, so I'm not sure it'll work."

Maria and Elosqir led the group to cram themselves into the lift, at which point Elosqir hit the 31st button. The lift shot up at breakneck speed, disgorging the group in an atrium surrounded by shops that either seemed to sell instruments of murder, or protection from instruments of murder.

"They tried to murder me and my family. The Vakolicci got me instead though." Allen told her. He took a few seconds to recover once they got out of the lift and then began looking for a suitable rifle or pistol. "I'll know what I used if I even see it." He promised Alicia "now I'm just looking for something expensive since expensive things are generally better."

"Wasn't their an awful intervention attempt in that revolution?" Maria asked. "The Black Legion attempted to halt it...that didn't go well."
"Well I'm just glad she's paying for it if you want something pricy. Are you used to any particular manufacturer of guns or shall we look around for the next week?"

To Maria, Cottura replied, "Sure, that would be enlightening, I've used a gun once and the memory is rather rusty." It was true- her mom had owned a small pistol once that, as an older child, she had 'learned' to use.

"If you just want the top-of-the-range rifle," Maria suggested, "Get the VKL-99. It's what our military use at the moment...it's proven quite effective. Although, you can get a lot of foreign guns here, so their's a chance some of them might be better than it...their elite troopers rifle or whatever foreign militaries refer to them as. You can purchase armored vehicles from the basement level as well, if you want, as well as get contracts for aircraft and naval vessils."

Allen turned to Alicia "Something like that, I was out of the country before that all happened though." For half a heartbeat Allen almost considered taunting her about the fact that the Vakolicci did so badly but regained his senses before he did anything stupid. "Let's just get the VKL-99 and leave." He offered.

"What can you expect?" Maria asked with the sort of cold smile that could usually be found on Alicia's face. "When Royalists lead an operation, it's going to fail. They could have been fighting anyone, and they'd still have lost, because they're royalists and as they are royalists they are idiotic. It comes with the territory."

Ignoring Maria's comment, Alicia looked through the racks of carefully-presented guns.
"This rifle is more expensive," she said, getting out a long-barrelled fully-automatic rifle, and a pack of the caseless ammunition that went with it.

Cottura looked at all the guns. "Those don't look right," she said. "They look so new and polished and... unusable. Is there anything here slightly more well-worn? Or at least a Crumb import, although I doubt Crumb-Cashew caters to Celeria." She was searching for something small, maybe a pistol at the least.

"Um... I have no need for a fully automatic weapon at all... because I am not a soldat in the Tatran People's Army. However, it would be nice to have a more modern hunting rifle or shotgun than my centuries old, family heirloom flintlock blunderbuss. Yet nothing here seems to be in a caliber that is common in my country. All the firearms here are so futuristic." said Taras.

Josef licked his lips his eyes gliding over the floor of weapons. "I believe I heard ship being built", Josef said giggling like a girl at the arms surrounding him. "What about a Stormwalker M. XIII Series Getrappeljäger, a Schmidt-Rossen G12, or perhaps even a MP07A?", he asked peering around the room to find the magnificent shape of his favorite armored beast or the small distinguishable weapons. "Also, about my shopping list where might I go about buying that?", he asked trying to find some directory of the building. He sighed happily this country truly catered to the ever researching Doktor.

"New guns are good, you know some idiot hadn't ruined them yet, or that the gun sucked enough that he wasn't able to use it", Josef said happily as he enjoyed the sights. "Also, what caliber of round do you use Taras?", Josef asked the boy turning about suddenly on him.

I am used to firing loads of lead buckshot, pebbles, broken glass, and iron nails... 7.62×54mmR cartridges and 7.92X57mm Mauser cartridges are both fairly easy to come by though... and that brand new 7.62×39mm M43 cartridge is becoming quite popular as well... but of course, flints and pieces of lead are always easier to find than shiny factory made cartridges in rural areas." said Taras to Josef.

Sienna, who had been quiet up until that point, reached into her pack and pulled out her M1858 Remington revolver, which was sparkling black in original paint, despite the piece being about 150 years old. "I think I'm set." she announced.

Meanwhile, Sienna also kept a close eye on Josef, wary of his disposition.

Kyuoka, who had up to this point been strangely silent and reserved, sighed a few times at the silliness of her soon-to-be peers, and took out a few golden trinkets with which she intended to buy a traditional Yalosii assault rifle off the wall; the Psenkataii Type-22. Awestricken and a bit stunned that the Vakolicci had such a vast array of unique, exotic weapons, Kyuoka took her gun from the acne-ridden sales clerk and took a few steps back, gazing up at the walls, lined and covered in vast rows of sleek, black rifles and pistols.

"What a formidable collection," she gasped, incidentally bumping into a large, burly, muscular man.

"Hey, girl," he snarled at her. She could smell the burrito he had eaten in his breath. "You got a problem?"

Maria looked through the weaponry available, not meaning to buy anything, just to recommend to people what she thought would be the best idea.
"What do you want to get?" Elosqir asked Mewan and Nick. "A pistol? An assault rifle? Some bloody great machine gun you can hardly carry? I don't think you've a use for a sniper rifle, do you, so probably not the first plan."

Alicia had picked up the rifle and dragged Allen by the arm to the till, where she quickly charged the expensive piece to the Royal Treasury.

"Hi...who are you?" Jason asked, noticing Kyuoka for the first time. "I don't think you've introduced yourself before. I'm Jason Rosman, by the way."
"Oh..." he said, placing his hand on his rifle. "If you keep talking like that," he glared at the man "Lots of people will have a problem, most of all you. Go away please."

I thought Maria was paying for the trip? Allen thought as Alicia bought the gun. It was placed in a far too casual bag which Allen knew he was going to have to carry.

"Does he need clothes?" Lucas asked, looking Allen up and down like a man inspecting merchandise. "I think that since it's so warm outside, he can forgo clothing."
"Lucas you shouldn't," Alicia laughed. "You know how impressionable I can be sometimes. But actually, I'm not sure that's such a bad idea. Allen...could you give me a reason why you deserve clothes? I'm trying to make the argument work in my head."

"But everybody knows I can afford it," Alicia considered aloud. "They all know what the Royal treasury is like, and that we've been hoarding money for the best part of 1500 years. They know all of this. However..." she trailed off "I do think I'd like you to be naked sometimes. OK...when we're in public, I'll let you wear clothes, the gender is dependent on your behaviour. When we're in the academy though, they come off. Do you get what I'm saying?"
