"Oh I don't doubt that. But that's still intriguing. Did you choose to become one?" Si spoke to Maria (before she went into the main room).

She made no comment about the alcohol, though she's evidently missed a party. She would catch up on such events later. Of that the noble had no doubt.

[The greater Vakolicci Haven]

Maria walked with Si, making a casual gesture for Andrew to follow them.
"I was ran over by a car," Maria explained. "Several times. Then I got patched up, so to speak. Now I'm a cyborg...I can throw fully-grown men across the room. Can't say I'm complaining though." The 2 entered the main room and Maria sat down in a leather armchair.
"Are we ready to leave?" she asked.

Si remained standing, a little awkward at the revelations. "I'm sorry to hear that." But she was still curious, and more than a little inclined to debate about what one lost by becoming part machine. But that was for another time, and this was her peer, not a theoretical topic. So she kept silent, glancing back at Andrew and Josef.

"Why are you sorry to hear it?" Maria asked, puzzled. "It's far better than being totally human. I've not lost anything, and gained a lot. Why would I ever want to go back?"

"Apologies, but I do not carry a sample of it around sadly. If I did I would like too..", he let the last words trickle into nothing as he stopped himself from that thought as he sadly had to refuse her request. "What do you need it for Akane?", he then asked wondering what the girl could want with a radioactive isotope. As he sat there with Akane , wondering about her request, he started to feel the eyes of someone linger upon him.

He turned then and met eyes with Lyrvaen watching her as she crossed the threshold bowing his gratitude at her compliment. "Yes, I am ready to leave automat", he said to the the cyborg.

[Geara]

"Of course, mademoiselle, good morning." Andrew said, then flitted away down the hall.

Arriving in his room, he found the imus already awake. The imus undressed and bathed him briefly with a damp cloth. He donned an identical pair of trousers and white shirt, but added to his uniform a brilliant white jacket cut somewhat like a Nehru. The imus wore the same clothes, but at some point in the night it seemed that he had washed them thoroughly before appearing again. The entire affair was silent and efficient.

Finally, they descended into the bar, padding silently into the room less than five minutes later.

"I'm sorry to hear of the car running you over, that's all." Si spoke evenly.

Besides, she was still staring at Josef bowing. It was a reasonably distracting sight. "Though do call me Si, or I shall be forced to name you Herr Schofeild for the rest of the year."

"Si", Josef said slowly rolling the shortened name on his tongue. "I am sorry, in Germania we tend to call ladies by their family name rather than the given name", he explained to her. "As a noble, I've only called direct peers in my specialization, lower-class nobles, and servants by such ", he said finishing his explanation as he drank the last of his water swirling the empty glass. "Personal names allowed amongst nobility a truly fascinating idea", he said smiling at the idea of not having to know everyone's family name.

He searched his pockets to write down the idea to try and introduce the idea into Germania one day.

"I'm very grateful for the car," Maria said cooly. "It was obviously a car of good fortune, otherwise I'd be unable to throw people across rooms."
She stood, seing that more people had entered the room and sighed.
"Shall we start to make a move?" she asked the room at large. "It's beginning to get horribly light out their, and I'd quite like to be in some shop or other by the time it reaches noon. Shall we visit a gun store first, so you don't all look like soft and easy targets?"

"I guess so." said Allen who was still hugging Alicia. It probably looked weird but then again he couldn't really see most of their behavior passing as normal. He had felt insulted by Alicia's earlier comments but had meekly not said a word.

[Valaran]

Si nodded sagely. "Indeed. I'd always considered that to be ultimate ability. Who wouldn't want to throw other people across the room?"

Guns? That will be interesting. But Si pushed that to one side and turned back to Josef.

"I understand. And to be fair, my family name means a lot more than my personal one. After all, we are both nobles it seems." She took a step closer. "But among friends, I've always preferred intimacy to formality." A smile lit on her face. "Why, what do you think, Josef?"

"Likewise," Maria told the 2, "I prefer to be called Maria, rather than my full long-winded title. Even in formal circles, it's always better, don't you think?"

"You don't talk much, do you?" Alicia said, untangling herself from Allen. "It looks like we're moving out." She stood and turned back to him. "Come on...we need to go and get you some new clothes!"

"So, Elosqir, shopping soon. Tell me more about this mall", he asked even though Maria had given them a brief description earlier on.

[Valaran]

"Oh I don't know. A full title has a certain... flair to it in the right situations. It automatically sets you apart, as well. Which can be equally useful."

She stopped talking though, wanting to hear more about the trip.

"It's probably going to be the huge one about 20 miles outside the city," Elosqir explained. "It's on about 70 floors, so you'll find exactly what you want."

[The High Tatras]

"Josef, do you... do you normally bow to a lady like that? It makes you seem like Errol Flynn. In my homeland... In my homeland we are supposed to bow or kneel to none but God. That is just our custom, but we are also supposed to treat everyone as ladies and gentlemen regardless of their actual social status... although, that is probably because very few of our ancestors had any kind of social status to begin with." said Taras to Josef.

"70 floors?, wow that's even bigger than the one in Tripoli.", Mewan exclaimed the reality was he under stated the fact, Tripoli Mall was spread over 8 floors (but made up for its height in massive floor size) with over 2000 shops selling probably much different products to this one.

Andrew had floated up behind Taras and quietly asked his question. On his white jacket, now that he was nearer, the thinnest line of gold ran across his chest like a sash, only infinitely thin and almost impossible to make out from afar.

Allen stood up slowly, being somewhat less enthusiastic about going shopping than Alicia. He should have been excited, he was going on a shopping spree with 2 of the richest people in the country but instead he was dreading the trip.

"Yeah it's huge," Elosqir said, stretching his massive frame. "Anyway, I think we're all making a move. You coming?"

"Yes, let's go, this should one interesting day.", Mewan said standing up and straightening his shirt. "Coming Nik?", he asked the other KwaDaian and was met by a puzzled look. "Eh yeah obviously, no way am I missing this!"? he exclaimed in Arabic.

"Why would you bow to God?" Andrew asked, "He is ubiquitous."

Andrew had floated up behind Taras and quietly asked his question. On his white jacket, now that he was nearer, the thinnest line of gold ran across his chest like a sash, only infinitely thin and almost impossible to make out from afar.

"Do you mean omnipresent? You seem to be some kind of pantheist, so far as I can tell." said Taras to Andrew.

Adjusting his glasses Josef only smiled back to Lyrvaen in answer to her question. In all reality Josef had no answer intimacy was unknown to the polite and often formal Josef. Being an academy student meant the only contact before now with people in a non-formal environment were peasants, merchants, and noblewomen at balls. Josef then got up amd standing up from his chair he let out a sigh stretching the stiffness from a night of reading and idle sitting. He was excited to see the merchants of this land of little laws and wondered what sort of tools he could find.

"Maria do they have xenon and this", he said to the girl thrusting a list of anesthetic gasses, Prussion arms, and a set of medical tools. "I might need them in my studies", he said his usual grin twisting into a euphoric smile of a man made mad. Suddenly whirring on Taras he spoke softly saying, "To kneel before one and make himself subservient is to denote they are greater, a simple bow is in thanks or respect but that is an interesting outlook on life." He laughed then his smile reverting back to his characteristic grin and said, "Imagining a people without nobles is a strange thought, perhaps even a good one if I weren't one."

Maria scanned down the list before handing it back to Joseph, beginning to be rather worried about the boys state of mind.
"Sure you can get it in Celeria even if you can't in the mall," she said. "Their's a chemicals shop, if I remember right, and they have some pretty dodgy stuff their...you can buy poison gas their I think. Why do you need all that stuff anyway? Doing practical studies at home?

Allen left the academy and found the awaiting cars, he climbed in one of them and breathed a deep sigh of relief, happy to be away from the others. He hoped that somebody else would get in and that Alicia would have to take another car or would have to sit far away from him.
