Her Majesty, Queen Juliana of Crystal Seas hurried down the flight of stairs in the palace down to her office, the time for the Royal Opera Ball was coming up, but this year it was the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Opera in Crystal Seas, and this year it would be spectacular because the entire world would be invited instead of it being limited to just citizens.

Sitting down at her ornate desk, she straightened out her dress and picked out several sheets of stationary containing the royal emblem at the top, writting in her beautiful but flowing longform cursive, she began the invitations:

"To whomever it may concern......
It is my highest honor and priviledge to invite you to this years Royal Opera Ball on its 100th Anniversary to commemorate 100 years of the Opera in Crystal Seas. The Royal Opera Ball will occur in three weeks time, you are cordially invited to bring up to ten guests of your choice to the ball. Please no weapons, this is a peaceful country and weapons are not needed as the Royal Guard shall be providing security. However, it is permissible for gentleman to wear a traditional sabre or sword along with his dress uniform. Once again, it is an honor and a priviledge to invite you to this ball, I hope you will be able to attend for this occasion will be considerably dim without your attendence and your personality at this occasion.
Sincerely,
Her Majesty,
Queen Juliana of Crystal Seas
And with that, the Queen signed her name and rang the bell for a maid to come. The maid came scurrying through a door bowing her head slightly as she stopped by the desk. "Yes miss?" the maid asked with a polite smile on her face. "Please give these to Christoph in the Mail Room to be mailed out to all the kingdoms and countries" The Queen said handing the letter to the maid who scurried off through the way she came.
Juliana pushed her chair out from the desk at which she had been sitting, and stood up walking over to the windows facing the square. From her vantage point she could see the magnificent operahouse, already they were beginning to hang the lanyards for the banners and the buntings for the occasion, setting up the torch holders along the steps of the Opera House. Preperations for the event were going according to schedule and that made Juliana very pleased indeed.

Juliana turned from the window she was facing and walked over to the door, opening it she stepped out onto the balcony and breathed in the pure winter air, the snow had just stopped falling for the day and the evening had set in. The street lamplighters were beginning to light the gas lamps on the streets for the night and the people were hurrying home from their places of employment bustling by the palace with the concerns of the world on their shoulders. Juliana felt very tired herself, planning this occasion weighed heavily on her mind, she walked back inside from the cold and summed her Lady in Waiting by ringing the bell by the door. The Lady in Waiting came down the steps in a regal fashion befitting someone of her position and she bowed a deep bow before the Queen.
"Please prepare the salts, I need to soak my feet, its been a long day." The Queen said to the Lady in Waiting. The Lady-in-waiting nodded "Yes your Majesty" she said and walked back the way she came upstairs. From upstairs the sounds could be heard of running water as the Lady in waiting prepared the bath for the Queen's feet.
Juliana knew this event would be a success, and she thought that to herself as she walked up the ornate hickory and cherry wood varnished stairs. She mentally went over the things left do as she settled in her room for her foot bath.
